Waterfalls
Reinbach Waterfalls, located in the Parco Naturale Vedrette di Ries-Aurina in South Tyrol, offer a stunning natural spectacle. The waterfalls are accessible via short hiking trails through a scenic forest, allowing visitors to witness the dramatic cascades of the high-flowing river. The surrounding Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park provides opportunities for holiday activities such as hikes, visits to the visitor center, and tours to the waterfalls.
Very nice, easy hike of 50 mins. You can park in the closest parking for 10 euros, and P3 which is 10 minutes away is for free. We went sunday around 12, and there were still places. There are 3 waterfalls, first one is 20 mins, second another 15 mins and the last around 10 mins.

Must be seen, parking available till 10 am after that not so much. Prices in bar and restaurant little bit high but food is excellent

Great hike! Easy, and paths are made well. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look
Jessica H — Google review
Amazing place but I would not recommend the climb for people with reduced mobility or small children. Highly recommended bringing your own food, there are places to eat on the bottom of the place next to the parking lot but they want 23 euros for a hotdog and 5 euros for a coke. Absolutely outrageous
Eduardo B — Google review
Highly recommended to visit. Very beautiful place for nature lovers

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Easy 15 minute walk to the falls. Beautiful!

Parking ticket for the daily is 10euros if you park close by the hiking trail entrance. The waterfalls are so nice!!! to get to the top is 55 min . It’s totally worth it! They also have amazing food and drinks at entrance!

Scenic spot
Fly-Line Wasserfall is a thrilling activity suitable for families and individuals alike. The starting point, slightly elevated above the third waterfall, offers a diverse route through the forest with narrow and wide curves alongside the cascades. After a 30-minute climb, participants can glide down through trees and past the waterfalls at a leisurely pace, allowing ample time to appreciate the surroundings. This summer or early autumn adventure is perfect for all ages.
This is one of the most fun things to do in this area. During the walk to the starting point of the fly-line you pass 3 beautiful waterfalls, the next one more beautiful than the first one. The last one is the most impressive. After your climb, which takes about 30 min, you can fly down again trough the trees and past the waterfalls (€12 per person, only cash). The fly-line isn’t very fast so you have enough time to enjoy your surroundings. You can park near the Rivas Wasserfallbar (paid) and at the bar follow the most left path (see arrow). The signs at the start are not clear, when you start the walk they are easy to follow.
Sam H — Google review
I started with a walk up the mountain (about 45 minutes) along the Cascate di Riva. Amazing! Then with the fly-line down to almost the beginning of the trail. Was lovely to go down through the trees. I would recommend this activity (unless you have back problems)
ANYA B — Google review
Such a fun adventure! We were able to park in the small lot by the cafe and hike up to the starting point. Great signage and directions to get to the starting point!
Alysen W — Google review
Highly recommended for all ages! Long and slow trip (about 5.5 minutes). Children can be with their parents. Costs 11 euro per adult, 10 per senior (above 60) You can buy a photo of yourself for another 5 euros (something like that). If you don't have cash, you can pay with credit card at the end of the zipline
Gilad S — Google review
Lovely experience! Enjoyed it a lot and would do it again! 9€ (adults) / 7€ (kids until 14) and around 5mins flying in the forest next to waterfalls... Must do if you are here.
Irina G — Google review
Was a great experience , the omega itself is about 6-10 min, was very fun and the price is fair

It was a life experience. (You have to climb about 30min to reach the starting point, not a hard trip)
AttilA B — Google review
Young or old, the fly line at the waterfalls is the perfect activity for everyone in the summer months or in early autumn. We enjoyed the hike around the waterfalls leading to the Flyline. Queuing was uncomplicated but please have patience and the price was in line what you would expect; credit cards were accepted. The views coming down throughout the forest were wonderful. Souvenirs and photos are available at the end of the fly line. Car parking and toilets are easily accessible however I would avoid the Bar to have some snacks as the prices are just absurd.

The small museum showcases the entire process of wool processing, with knowledgeable owners available to provide explanations. Adjacent to the museum is a small shop offering skillfully crafted handmade garments. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a workshop on felt, which entertains both children and parents.
Nice little museum where you can learn how wool is made into yarn. There is a little shop as well. My kids liked learning about the different steps it takes to make yarn. We were the only ones there when we went through.

(Translated by Google) the guided view of the processing and production of wool is wonderful. the two owners fascinated us with the history of their business, in which they still use ancient machines and still work and sew everything by hand. the workshop (Tuesdays at 5pm) for adults and children on felt processing is unmissable, a truly great time for everyone. a gem, to do again! Residenza Neumelans, a private property, is worth admiring from the outside for its small but impressive structure with interesting angular towers dating back to the 16th century. It is considered one of the most beautiful and well-preserved historic buildings in the area. Thanks to a document from 1309 it became known that Hugo VI of Tures had wanted to found a convent, never built, in honor of Santa Chiara. Once the castle fell into ruin in 1982, the municipality of Campo Tures decided to recover this very ancient church and dedicate the newly created chapel to San Francesco and Santa Chiara at the end of 10 meditation and prayer stations that accompany the visitor along the ascent to the three waterfalls of Shore. In the chapel there are two statues dedicated to the Saints, a crucifix with an altar and some benches, while a spiral staircase leads to the lower floor where the crypt of San Damiano is located. At the foot of the church stands the Toblbrucke, a bridge that connects with other paths in the surrounding area. (Original) Al termine della terza cascata di Riva e alla fine del Sentiero di S. Bistro
Rivas Wasserfallbar is a family-owned gem located in Ahrntal, offering a wide range of refreshments from morning coffee to evening meals. Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes like Kartoffelsalat and apple strudel with vanilla sauce. The bar's welcoming staff and well-kept facilities make it a popular stop for locals and tourists alike. Additionally, its convenient location near the waterfalls' path makes it an ideal spot to relax after a great hike while enjoying snacks and drinks.
This little bar at the edge of the forest has a great range of local delicacies and other souvenirs. They sell luxury focaccia breads with meat to eat after a walk past all the beautiful waterfalls. The bread is freshly baked and prepared in front of you. The flavours are fantastical. One of the best lunches you can wish for in this area!

Very nice bar near by the waterfalls' path. I loved the apple strudel w/ vanilla sauce
A F — Google review
Both the service and the food are amazing. The environment is very relaxing, we had a perfect day here. The price-quality ratio is absolutely fair!
Alexandra S — Google review
The bar is beautifully located in the middle of the forest and could be a wonderful place to stop. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is spoiled by the many souvenir items cluttering the space and the somewhat loud music. The prices are also outrageously high: €35 for polenta with goulash, €20 for a sandwich, and €4.50 for a cappuccino. True hospitality is not only about friendliness but also about fair pricing. Such practices will damage the region’s good reputation in the long run. On top of that, the forced small talk feels inauthentic. To the question “Where are you from?”, one always gets the cliché reply “I know it, that’s where the most beautiful women come from”. A pity, because with genuine hospitality, a calmer atmosphere, and fairer prices, this place could truly shine. Luckily, only a 10-minute walk away there is the very nice pizzeria and bar "Cascade", which offers a much more pleasant setting and excellent food options.
Dominik — Google review
After the property changed less than a year ago the place has gone really in a bad direction. Nice place but prices are crazy. One sausage with cheese and mushrooms 23 euros and it was not on the menu, so we couldn't know the price. An appetizer offered by the waiter costed 16 euros. little too much for a place full of bees and flies.

The welcoming atmosphere makes it a fantastic spot for families, though those seeking a quieter meal might want to consider visiting at off-peak times.
Very nice pizza, good service, good price I really enjoyed

We got there when it was super busy so the waitresses were very stressed and not very nice. Food was sub par. The pizzas we couldn’t even finish. Sorry but maybe the other food on the menu is better. Would not go back

Probably the best pizza you can get in the area, with a wonderful selection that all offer something unique. The service is kind and helpful, and eventhough you might have to wait a bit for your food to arrive, it's always worth it. A must visit every time I'm here.

Pavel V — Google review
We had always been satisfied with the service at the "Mausefalle" in previous years, but this year the service was terrible. We received the menu relatively quickly, but then we were ignored for 15 minutes. After asking twice if we could order, we were always referred to the "colleague." After another 15 minutes, we decided to leave the restaurant, but we were wished a pleasant evening without having ordered anything.

A very good experience. Even if we didn't have a reservation, we were served. The food that we ordered was very tasty and the advices of the lady were very helpful. Worthy to visit it!

(Translated by Google) I can only review what my wife and I experienced. I can't give a review of the food or drinks, as we were never asked if we wanted anything. We weren't greeted, even though the oldest waitress slammed a card with a menu on our table! After we were passed three times, we packed our things and drove about 150 meters up to the Hotel Alpinum. There we received a friendly welcome, and we had an excellent meal, and there was also something to drink. My family and I will steer clear of this place in the future...sorry, it's not worth it! Oh, and finally, I have to give it one more star, but a 5 from me. (Translated by Google) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A feast for the senses, an exceptional dinner that far exceeded my expectations! Each course was a small work of art – subtly seasoned, with a masterful balance of freshness, depth, and aromatic diversity. The herbs played a central role and weren't simply used as decoration, but skillfully showcased, delicately, boldly, and intensely. You could taste with every bite that the cooking here is done with true passion. The meat was an absolute highlight – perfectly cooked to perfection, buttery tender, and of outstanding quality. It had that certain something you rarely experience – aromatic and slightly crispy on the outside, juicy and full of flavor on the inside. The service was also friendly, attentive, and competent – you felt completely in good hands. Anyone who loves good food and values quality and creativity shouldn't miss this experience. I'll definitely be back!

Sights & Landmarks
Historical landmark
Taufers Castle, located in the picturesque municipality of Sand in Taufers in the Ahrntal valley, is a grand medieval fortress perched on a hill. The castle offers guided tours that showcase its elaborate frescoes, furnishings, and rich history. Surrounded by a nature park and towering peaks, the castle provides scenic views of the stunning mountain scenery.
Really cool medieval castle full of history, scenic views, and relics. We happened to show up right before the start of a tour. The tours are only offered in German and Italian. We grouped up with the Italian your being that we speak Spanish. They do give you an English handout which has some of the tour details. Most of the tour info is included in the handout. Regardless, our tour guide took the time to give us some tidbits in English during the tour. We were grateful to have Margarita as our guide. This place was super cool with so many things to see. Unfortunately for us, it was closing time right after our tour. Make sure you come a bit early to be able to see the rest of the exhibitions and visit the gift shop. And lastly, don't forget to leave a tip at the end of the tour. Enjoy y'all!

Nice... one of the 400 castles in South Tyrol. Visitable with guided tours in german or italian. Big but not sup big castle yet the tour takes you through 20 rooms and displays castle life fom the middle ages to 1800s. Cool. Tip a car parking is situated next to cadtle yet to find you will have to drive a bit further on the main road
DJ N — Google review
Really cool medieval castle with informational plaques in German, Italian, and English. Guided tours are on the hour in German and Italian and are the only way to go into the rooms. If you choose the courtyard tour (€7), you still get a very cool experience walking up the tower and see great views of the valley. Definitely worth checking out if you have an hour or so! The walk from the bus station felt more like a hike and there’s construction on the roads currently (may 2024) forcing us to walk on gravel and mud.
Mikaela M — Google review
The guided tour is definitely worth it!

Great small Castle to visit. Park your car in town, enjoy the walk to the castle and join a guided tour. The castle might not be as big as others, but the guided tour and the well equipped rooms (original furniture, books, etc.) make it worth while. Take your time exploring the castle, some areas are not part of the guided tour, but still accessible, such as the tower, the garden, kitchen and the old ice cellar. Afterwards there is a small restaurant nearby, where you can enjoy a good meal and a perfect view over the Ahrntal region.
T. H — Google review
1hour tour with a great guide (It, Ger, Eng), check the opening hours first, many websites are incorrect as Google. Also dont trust googlemaps with 15min walk from downtown Campo Tures, as the road is quite steep once oit of the town. That said add 10mins for quick walk or 15mins for sights. Or take a car just bellow the castle with 90min free parking. The castle dates back to 12th century with lots of remodeling but keeps its stone look. On the tour you will get to see about 10chambers, courtyard, tower, catwalk. Well kept wooden interiors, amazing library and decorations. Nice views to the valley. Good way to spend 90min walking trip once in the region. Review of 4stars as 5stars belong to Ducal Palace in Venice :) enjoy. 10€ adult
Martin K — Google review
Small castle is worth visiting only with the guided tour, which occurs more or less hourly, so there's usually a good chance to catch one. Price for visit+tour is fair. Currently, there are a few expositions which can be seen without a guide.
Massimo R — Google review
Lovely little castle. Well worth a visit if in the area. Information regarding parking is not clear. There is free parking at the castle. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard and sounding area but not inside for the guided tour. Kennels are available for free but are very small.

Hotel Drumlerhof is an upscale alpine establishment with refined accommodations and suites. The hotel boasts a range of amenities including a swimming pool, a restaurant, and a spa. Visitors have praised the restaurant's commitment to sustainability, utilizing locally sourced ingredients from home production. The charming and relaxed atmosphere adds to the overall experience. The knowledgeable staff provides excellent recommendations regarding wine selections.
Great hotel, we had an amazing stay at Drumlerhof in December 2024. Our rooms were very clean and perfectly maintained, service is extraordinary. The food (half-board) is very authentic, refined and just great overall. Everything (including breakfast) is served at the table (no buffet) which I like because it means you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed setting.

My (now) husband and I were recommended to stay at Drumlerhoff by our wonderful elopement photographer - Eline (@northwindselopments) - due to my husband's gluten and dairy free dietary restrictions. It ended up being the best decision of our trip. Normally it is extremely difficult and labor intesive for us to travel, but not with the family and team at Drumlerhoff. We were completely blown away by the accommodations, care and attentiveness they extend to each guest. The saunas, pool and hot tub were so refreshing for us as we like to do some rigorous hikes. For each meal, there were multiple delicious options available. Our server, Enrico, was very personable and took the time to explain what was possible and how dishes could be amended to fit his dietary restrictions. Emma, a manager, coordinated an incredible lunch picnic (hummus, salmon, beef tartar, buckwheat salad, dessert and local sparkling wine) for our photoshoot. However, the real surprise came when we returned to our room which was decorated in celebration of our marriage! You can tell this is a passionately run family business and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone visiting the area. Sunday lunch with the family in their restaurant. The weather was perfect so we enjoyed lunch on the terrace. The menu boasted local produce and dishes as well as international favorites. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the hearty, wholesome and flavorful food which was well portioned. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We have been going to the Drumlerhof hotel's restaurant the three days we were in Campo Tures. We loved the food of course but also the "vision" of the restaurant focused on sustainable, local and quality ingredients coming from home production. Lovely, cozy and relaxed ambience. Very professional staff with plenty of useful suggestion about wine etc. Great place!

Northern Italian restaurant
Alpenrose is a welcoming and well-furnished restaurant with a family-friendly atmosphere. The generous portions and affordable prices make it a great choice for dining. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. Additionally, the restaurant offers convenient parking nearby. Despite its simplicity, the food is of high quality and reasonably priced. It's also one of the few places open on Mondays, making it a reliable option for dining out at the beginning of the week.
(Translated by Google) Simple place but very good food at reasonable prices. It is one of the few places open on Mondays even if the kitchen closes at 8.30pm, which is why the kind lady at the restaurant advised us to arrive for dinner at 7pm. We took a course + dessert and spent €15 each. All good! It is located a stone's throw from the castle, and has plenty of parking in the area next to the structure.

The daily walk is fascinating, especially in hot summer days. The water and the high forest give fresh shelter. There are nice places arranged to have a rest. The waterfall is spectacular! Take photos and selfies, a lot! It was a nice surprise that a small community was having their Sunday religious time outdoors. I read the historical data about this place, very interesting! When we returned, there was a nice restaurant with outside places. It was busy but we received fast service and tasty food.

This is a beautiful park in the Pustertal. Beautiful nature with so vivid colors you might think you are in a portrait. There are so many things to do and so many things to visit if you like be immersed in the nature: from the Lake of Anterselva, a, more than before, popular destination for many tourists as there are very nice hiking tracks from there, to the amazing Biathlon restaurant where you can have some of the best steaks in the whole valley. Absolutely recommended if you plan to go here during summertime (but not necessarily)

Outdoor Activities
Ski & Snowboard Areas
Speikboden is an 8,258-ft. mountain that offers a wide range of activities throughout the year. In winter, it transforms into a snowy paradise for skiing and snowboarding at the Speikboden and Klausberg ski resorts. During summertime, visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, and paragliding with stunning panoramic views from the ridge accessed by taking the gondola up to Speikboden Alm.
Great views and incredible nature! Enjoyable summertime and wintertime. You can reach the start of the Speikboden lifts via car or preferably via bus from nearby towns. Prices are still lower than for the larger ski areas. Kids area, restaurants, ski and equipment rent.

What a gorgeous mountain region! I do appreciate the Tour we made, well-constructive trails, beautiful scenery, no stress from massive crowd, several different levels of hiking trails available. We enjoyed The rolling mountains cover with early snow surround the green valley and clear blue sky above that is so surreal! The truth nature is supposed like it without man-made ingredient. There are some hiking trails we could choose but for the sudden snow fall and my physical weakness therefore the shortest and easiest trail - Zirbenweg is our best choice. Ö

Summer review: amazing views from the panoramic trail, very well marked too, but no water/fountains in the whole area and all the huts sell half a liter for 3 euro (which is about double the standard cost)
Barbara B — Google review
We have been to Speikboden two times now and really love it. The ski instructors are so knowledgeable and fantastic. We skied with Doris this year and the other year with Charly. They improved our skiing so dramatically. I would say the instruction is some of the best instruction for any sport I have done in my life and I have taken extensive riding and swimming instruction. This is a very family- and kids- friendly ski resort with a variety of terrain and great food options. We love skiing down to Mittlestation which is a traditional "hut" or large cabin. The food is incredibly good, especially their pasta with ragu in a pan and rosti, which is grilled potatoes in butter with two eggs and parma ham on top. For the holiday season this year they had a huge snow castle and giant igloos you can go into and have drinks. Also we rented sleds and you can ski down from the top of "Speiky-way" all the way to the village 7 km below then take the public bus with your pass back to the ski resort. So much fun.
Karen Z — Google review
Granted in summer the views are great and true hikers will enjoy the trails that follow the high ridges from peak to peak. But if you're coming here with kids expecting lots of activities like Plose or Klausberg you'll be dissapointed. Besides a small playground, mini hay jump and neglected petting zoo (where baby rabbits are manhandled by overeager children) there's not much to do and considering the price of the lift ticket you're better off at the above mentioned destinations where you can go-kart down a mountain or enjoy a hair raising bob-run. Enjoy the journey!

We were sitting in front of the bar counter. They had a stack of plates one on another on it. One of the plates just started to slip from another. My husband tried to jump to the bar from our table and catch it in the air, but couldn't. He did that cause he is very nice personwho wantst to save someone else's plates. After a minute, one of the staff just started to clean and told us that "you could just say sorry" and tried to blame us in this accident. He was not listening to an explanation, even though it happened in front of his face. Just blame us for nothing and yelled. I don't know what was a problem with this person, but honestly, it's so rude. I don't recommend visiting this place ever, cause you can be yelled and blamed for any reason. Maybe it's a standard of treating people in this cafe, have to idea. But just avoid it.

Overpiced and VERY bad done cocktails.. Pina colada doesnt tastes and looks like it should. I have got in large cocktail glass 3cm of the drink and 8cm of the foam which was not possible to identity what it was. but caffé and cakes are average.. They dont make you happy but either not offend.. Staff is polite and nice. This is only one place in Campo tures where you can sit, drink or have dessert during the day. Place is nice and clean.

Bartender has a temper. A plate fell off of the counter, I've seen it and tried to stand up and catch it - he saw that and blamed me in the incident. I tried to explain, but he did not want to listen. It was very inappropriate and not professional. Not mentioning the inhospitality.

The Kaiserschmarrn at this location is priced at an exorbitant 24 EUR for a portion meant for two people. However, if you take a short walk down the valley, you'll find a standard-sized portion for one person with almost the same quantity for just 9 EUR. Crazy. Presentation and food is good though.

Incredible price level. Audacious. The owner seems to have bought some kind of marketing product that doubles prices without changing/improving the quality: just wasting energy and money on displays and frivolities. Can’t imagine anyone going there twice. Food prices are double of what you pay elsewhere, drinks 150% of normal prices.

Overpriced tourist trap. Watch out for innocent-sounding questions. ‘Would you like a little bit of bread with your dish?’ — will end up adding €7.50 onto your bill.
Wild-young-passionate F — Google review
Not so good experience, weitress were friendly but they didnt give receipt and after paying they run inside. There is a good selection of food, but the place is too touristic, prices are high and quality was low. So fast to serve the dish that they were probably already prepared. Bread was old and also the others taste not so fresh
