Awesome place for the family, you will love this place whether you like coffee or not, the place is huge so you better bring sunscreen, comfy clothes and good shoes for walking. There are attractions where you will get wet, so wearing clothes that dry quickly is key. Try using the lockers in a central part of the park to store your stuff if you plan to live the full experience.
Awesome theme park. If you really want to enjoy it, this have to be a full day run. On weekends it's really crowded, so try to get as early as you can. The best parts: the train, horse rides, no one smoking and lots of sunrays.
Great park to visit with family or friends. It’s stroller friendly, lots of activities for the kids, make sure they are tall enough for the rides. More than 90cm. Being extra clothes and shoes because there are water attractions that you can easily get soaked. Good sunscreen and hats for all.
Fantastic experience of nature, attractions, coffee flavors and culture, art, landscapes and of course Colombian warmth and hospitality. We had a great time, savored coffee like never before, danced and rejoiced at the folklore show, relaxed walking along the trails. It was a blast.
Amazing amazing experience. There is something for everyone, you can easily do everything in 1 day. By far one of the best folklore shows I have seen and like everyone says, you cannot miss it. The reviews do not lie.
Parque del Café in Quindío is a must-visit destination to enjoy with family or friends 🎢☕. It combines fun, coffee culture, and beautiful landscapes all in one place. The weather is warm, so it’s advisable to wear light clothing and stay hydrated 💧👒. Among its attractions are roller coasters, a cable car, and tours that highlight the history and tradition of Colombian coffee. A truly unique experience you shouldn’t miss!
We had a very fun day at the park. We’re 4 adults and we came for coffee but the park is so much more. It’s a cultural experience and there’s a lot of fun rides to do as well. I can recommend the coffee show, take a stroll in the bamboo park, ofcourse take the teleferico for beautiful views, the train is fun, all the water rides are fun but prepare to get absolutely soaked. The coffee museum in the beginning is a must and the sensory room at the end completes the whole thing. For food I can recommend the oriental place at the food mall near the tree boat ride. Although there are more options at the plaza bolivar (there’s even a Subway). Get your coffee at Juan Valdez or try a granizado. The horse ride is fun (and a complementary $15,000) but a bit boring. I would do it again though! We didn’t expect to spend almost all day here. It’s very fun for kids too and people of all ages. We didn’t try any of the thrill rides like the rollercoasters but they look like a lot of fun. There’s almost no lines to wait for the rides and there’s lockers near the water rides to keep your stuff safe and dry.
Great amusement park and great views of coffee plantations. The “coffee show” is a well performed act that takes you on a journey through the coffee regions of Colombia. Fairly priced well maintained.

Beautiful views and delicious food! I came here with my family and we had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Jissel Molina, went above and beyond she truly made our visit special. We will be retuning.
We had lunch here after a hike up the mountainside. We were all a bit disappointed by the food. We had heard that the area was famous for their fish, but it was honestly nothing special. As for drinks, their lemonade de coco was just bad. We didn’t even drink the two we ordered. The service was friendly enough, though they seemed rather absent. Overall, I’d try another place next time I go.
Food was bad. This is the first time that I couldn’t finish what was ordered. Best thing was chorizo, the Trucha was nothing special, and the steak was overcooked and tasted bad (seems like it was of a poor quality). We would have left attributing this to a tourist experience but what was disappointing was the feeling that there was something dishonest happening. We were asked to pay cash for a menu item that was left off our bill. Not sure if this is a common occurrence in Valle Cocoro, but I’ve never had to pay cash for a menu item when the other items were paid by card.
This is a MUST!! The food was absolutely outstanding, the steak was all fresh and served in a platter that kept the food hot. The service received from our server, Daniela Duque, was absolutely outstanding. She suggested an amazing passion fruit dessert and was always attentive to our needs. This is the second time we come and will continue to come.
Best atmosphere I've eaten at, nice to get food here after a long hike
The Food was very good as well as the service and of course the amazing view!!
Food was amazing, the service outstanding. Herney took really good care of us, he was kind and helpful, the company is lucky to have him as an employee.
We ordered a punta de angus black and it was the worst meat I’ve had it wasn’t cooked how I ordered maybe because it was just fat and hard the knife couldn’t cut through it, to be the most expensive item on the menu it was easily the worst I wouldn't give it to my dog, the rest of the food was alright but nothing special the service was good but wouldn’t return just for the service.

We had a great time as a Family at Panaca. A variety of animals (cattle, horses, goats, pigs, ostriches, birds, chickens, to name a few) with plenty to do from feeding the animals to the pony rides and shows that showcase the animals. It was a great way to spend our day and our daughter absolutely loved it. The park is stroller friendly with a little effort and be sure bring your walking shoes. They also have transportation for when your legs get a little tired. Definitely worth the visit.
We had a fantastic time as a family, and my little one absolutely loved it! It’s great that you can bring food and water inside—very convenient. The pig show was a delightful highlight, full of laughs! If I could make one suggestion, it would be to add more bathrooms along the way, especially for families with little ones who might find it tough to wait. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
Lots of activities, mostly for the young ones, a variety of shows around the park (the negative point: the time schedule of those shows not always match your own). Be ready to walk, is huge. Take a hat or a cap with you, heat and humidity is massive there. The thing that you can't miss: El trapiche, where they sell cold "Mazamorra" with solid melasa.
It is a great park for kids, my kids (6 and 2) enjoyed every minute of it. They provide a kind of an off road stroller (12.000 COP) so you can carry your kid. The shows are great and they are scheduled so as to go with the tour, so you don't have to go around, just follow the path. The stand up comedy show is not as fun as you would think, since it is a couple arguing about everything. My recommendation is to try to go on weekdays so you can move around without problem. Restaurants are ok and not expensive, you can take fruits or small snacks and maybe a couple of water with you,
Okay place, a bit on the expensive side. I went on a weekday so it wasn't as busy but not as lively as expected. They have tons of farm animals and some shows. Expect to walk a lot.
PANACA: Where the cows are friendlier than your in-laws and the goats have more attitude than you. From the second we walked in, it was like National Geographic met Colombian farm life — but with snacks, laughter, and a whole lot of mooing. We fed animals, milked cows (spoiler: it's harder than it looks), and I’m pretty sure one goat tried to adopt me. The animal shows? ICONIC. I laughed, I cheered, I questioned my career choices. The views? Straight out of a telenovela. The air? So fresh I tried to bottle it. The food? Don’t even get me started — I left with a full belly and zero regrets (except maybe not wearing stretchy pants). Whether you're a kid, a grown-up pretending to be mature, or someone who just really wants to hug a donkey — PANACA is the place. 10/10 would let a llama photobomb me again. 🐐📸🇨🇴🔥
Amazing overall experience. You enjoy it more if your Kids are 2 years old and above. Definitely plan on taking my Kids back at least once per year.
Many years ago there were more animal acrobatic shows. It might be due to animal protection laws. Now the small animal show is mostly just two people doing comedy. It's very good except that international tourists get a little lost if they don't speak Spanish.

I had a really fun afternoon here. The whole experience was made even better by the tour guides. Our guide was Juan David, and he was faultless! He made the whole experience come to life and was funny, knowledgeable, and engaging with all the tour group. I personally enjoyed picking the coffee beans and learning about the process from bean to cup. Our tour was in Spanish, but they do offer English tours and one to one. At the end of the tour, we all got to dress up and get involved in a dance, which was fun! There was also an option to eat in their restaurant, but we did not have time due to other plans later in the day. I would recommend it for sure.
Spent the whole day here with the family and had lots of fun. They advertise it as a coffee farm visit, but it’s way more than that. I’d even say that coffee takes a small place here. They will put you in traditional costumes and teach you how to dance the old-school way. They will show you a big handmade model village that’s fun to explore. They will also take multiple pictures of you (and charge you for them later if you want to keep them). At the very end, they finally tell you a little about coffee and let you taste a small cup. So don’t come here for the coffee, but more for the photos and the fun experience.
Solid tour. Thanks to Alejandro for his energy and engagement. We learnt about coffee, the Paisas and had heaps of fun despite the heat. Apply sunscreen and keep cool ☀️ The park can feel kitschy at times but that’s part of the charm if you are into that sort of local immersion.
Manuel, our Jeep chauffeur recommended this place. This place is beautiful. Our coffee tour guide, Juan David Giraldo, was the best. He is fun and enthusiastic, and his energy is contagious. We all loved Recuca and in grand part because of his fun energy. Ok. Now the bad: we were horribly disappointed to learn the coffee shop didn't take cards. My heart sank when the employee said it was CASH ONLY 🤯. I mean, this is a tourist spot!!!. We paid for the tickets with a visa card. And we really wanted to buy MANY bags coffee there to bring home..... it was kind of horrible to go home empty-handed. So this is my humble recommendation for the administrator: ALLOW people buy and pay with ALL the options available. Not only cash!!!! You are losing a LOT of clients. 😪
I loved this coffee experience! They taught us everything from how coffee originated to how to distinguish the differences between coffee beans, to how to make the perfect cup and all the varieties of coffee. We even dressed up in costumes that represented the people who previously had coffee farms. Towards the end we had to pick out coffee beans. It was an enriching experience especially for someone who loves coffee
Very fun and informative. There is lots of colored commentary and double entendre jokes along the tour. Not sure if they offer tours in English though. It is recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses and some sunscreen. There is lots of walking and some areas aren’t very accessible if using a wheel chair or pushing a stroller. I wouldn’t recommend bringing small children as it can be hot and they probably wouldn’t enjoy the tour as much. A typical lunch is offered with beans, rice, ground beef, plantain and your only choice for a second meat is either chorizo or pork cracklings.
Excellent chocolate tour! We had an English-speaking (bilingual) tour guide (Andres G). I assumed he had worked there for 10-15 years! He was so knowledgeable. He explained everything about the cultivation and processing of cocoa. My kids loved it. My wife loved it. We got to eat yummy fresh cocoa from the fruit! They made it super fun. I'd recommend wearing pants and long sleeves! This might have been the highlight of our whole trip!
We had a great time here. The tour (in English) was very good. Everything was explained in great detail and you could also take part yourself, for example picking coffee beans. Everything was very informative and interesting and the area is simply beautiful. We had also booked lunch. I personally wasn't a fan of it, but others in the group really enjoyed it.

Juan was an excellent guide. He explained a lot about the animals and plants in the park. The scenery is stunning and has some fun elements with bridge crossings and a high floor look out. The butterfly garden was also amazing with different varieties and tortoises. The tour took 2 hours.
Exceptional plant collection amongst walking trails. There’s some nice architectural elements too, and a couple places to watch bird life and butterflies. Note they only have guided tours.
After arriving in the coffee triangle 6 months ago I have finally made it to the botanical garden. What an amazing place. There were many photographic opportunities. The beautiful plants, birds, hummingbirds and butterflies offered an exciting visit. You are provided a guide that takes you through the gardens and explains everything in detail. I was lucky enough to have Dora assigned as the guide to my group. She is well informed, professional and speaks really good english. It is a bit of a walk and some of it is up and down hills across hanging bridges and such, but if this suits you, you will get to experience several different areas each containg different diverse habitats. You will get to see exotic birds from a little enclosed viewing area. Unfortunately you are seperated from the birds by large windows, but it is really pretty to see. There are also two hummingbird areas with feeders with lots of hummingbirds and a big tented area for the butterflies. It was a great tour and a great day. I cant wait to return. I hope Dora will be assigned to my group again.
Bit pricy with 66.000 Pesos per Person. Guided walking tour starts strong but is far too long with 3h and 2h would be more than enough. Also no English tour available. + nice walk through mini jungle + jungle bridge + jungle mirador + Even with wheel chair or buggy accessible - too big groups (~20 people) maked it hard to see animals - bit pricey - too long - too much Information about tunnels and insects - not enough Information about flowers, mainly about trees - due to being half open, mariposario is not really showing a lot of butterflies when it is raining
Wonderful experience with Dora our guide through these beautiful and peaceful gardens. Lots of flora and fauna to see and we learnt a lot from Dora, thank you! The hummingbirds were a delight!
Beautiful place, the tour was great and very informative.
I absolutely enjoyed my visit to the Garden. I did not expect the additional information and display of the tunel system. My guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to learn about many trees, palms and local animals. The butterflies were beautiful.
It was a good place to be close to nature, we saw a lot of butterflies and learned about different tree species, they have bird watching spots but during our walk we also saw an owl 🦉

This review is for the tour, not the lodging. We did the tour with Carlos, very knowledgeable and passionate on the Kasaguadua project. The place offers lodging in the middle of the forest, in a very sustainable manner. I wish I had stayed there at least one night, probably would be an unforgettable experience. Carlos is very knowledgeable on the plants, ecosystem and natural resources. Only warning: this place is accessible via a narrow path going very steep downhill, so it's not for people afraid of heights or with mobility issues. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Salento, and if so inclined, to consider staying in the lodging. An absolute gem of a place!
We did not spend the night there, but went on a guided tour with Carlos to get to know the forest which surrounds the eco-lodge. He is very knowledgable and we learnt a lot during the 2 hour long tour. We should have booked a few nights there, it looks fantastic!
We did the Jungle Hike and it was a truly wonderful experience. It was very interesting to learn about the cloud forest ecosystem. All our questions were answered to the fullest and we even got to see some hummingbirds and beautiful butterflies.
My husband and I didn't stay the night, but we did the walking tour. Carlos is very knowledgeable and passionate about the environment and conservation. Tour is 50000 per person and well worth it, usually it goes for 2 hours but we talked about all the ways we can save the world. All the money seems to go to protecting and growing the reserve as well. Good luck to them in the future. Hopefully, this becomes a great educational tool for tourists.
I didn't stay here, however my friend and I joined a tour of the cloud forest with Carlos which was fascinating and a great thing to do on our first day in Salento. Carlos is clearly passionate about preserving the ecosystem of the area and has put a lot of work into his project. He is very friendly and remembered everyone's name throughout the hike. Would highly recommend the tour! Please note that it can be muddy and you should wear hiking boots and a good rain jacket.
Kasaguadua is something truly special. Getting into the jungle feels like an adventure in itself—a short trek that instantly shifts your mindset into nature mode. Totally worth it. Once you arrive, it’s like entering a secret world, and in our case, we had the entire place to ourselves for a full day. Absolute magic. The grounds are beautifully preserved, with winding paths, hidden viewpoints, and the constant soundtrack of the jungle all around. The huts are designed with sustainability and comfort in mind—open, airy, and totally in sync with the environment. You feel connected, not just to nature, but to the intention behind every detail. Whether you’re hiking through the forest or just lounging in a hammock with a view, Kasaguadua is pure peace.
Wow - what an incredible experience. We took the two hour tour with Carlos ( it was just the two of us so it was essentially a private tour !) and left with a whole new appreciation and understanding not only of the complex ecosystem of the cloud forest but also of the ethos and philosophy of Kasaguadua. Carlos is so knowledgeable and passionate about the reserve and communicates his expertise in an engaging and authentic way. He is also a lovely person and we left feeling we had made a good friend ! Thank you Carlos for this wonderful experience - we only wish we could have stayed in the reserve! Róisín and Tadhg
This is the best place we stayed at in our whole South America trip of 8 months. It’s a really special place and it was great to stay here for 5 days to learn all about the place’s wider conservation project too. I’d recommend this a thousand times over staying in Salento, and I’d also recommend renting a scooter to get easily to and from Salento. We fell in love with the place and its surroundings and took notice of all the effort that has been put into the details of the decoration and the hospitality that form a truly curated experience. We felt very pampered and Willie is a truly brilliant host. There’s a delicious breakfast included every morning in the stay too.

Wonderful experience!! We did the 12 km walk and enjoyed it so much. It starts with a climb and up to the second viewpoint where everyone goes, but it's not hard at all. The views were outstanding and the walk back along the river is very nice.
This was one of our favourite things to do in Colombia. If you are visiting the Salento region this is one of the places you should definitely visit. Make sure you get there early in the morning. It starts to get busy around 10:30AM. It is also more likely to rain in the afternoon, mornings are usually clear. We started our tour around 8AM. You can choose to do the walk on foot or take a horse. Since it was quite steep and muddy we picked a horse tour. If you have a good endurance you can also do it on foot. There are several viewpoints and the scenery is amazing. The palmtrees are the highest in the world and all other hillside are full of beautiful trees and flowers. It does look like something out of a fairy tale. The viewpoints can get busy later in the morning and you might have to wait in line if you want specific pictures. Still, we wouldn’t want to have missed it. Make sure you bring multiple layers (but not too much since you will get quite hot walking uphill), hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water/snacks. Toilets are available at the entrance for a small fee but not in the valley itself.
Visiting Valle del Cocora is an unforgettable experience. The scenery with the giant wax palms, green mountains, and natural trails looks like something out of a postcard. It’s perfect for connecting with nature, hiking, and taking amazing photos. 👉 Tips: go early as it gets very busy, wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring enough water since the hikes can be long. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in Colombia’s Coffee Region.
Beautiful place! The horse ride is a great experience but optional. You can still go up the mountain without the horse ride. It is just a long walk uphill. There are three different entrances with three unique things to admire and do. The three entrances have separate prices. The most common ones are the first and second. The first one is to your right as you go up the road. It has colorful signs and decorations for pictures and different levels uphill for a great view. It has a parking lot next to it, a restaurant, and shopping little spots. The second entrance is up the road (5-7 mnt walk). There's also a parking spot, but no restaurants. This one is a taller mountain with great views, and if you make it to the top, you'll see the HAND. Built to stand up on it for pictures surrounded by beautiful views!
Not my favourite hike. Might as well have a holiday home at the base. For all that it's not signposted very well...at all. Handily no one was at the information point. What is the point in a sign telling people they have only 30 seconds to take a picture if it is only in Spanish when everyone ignores it anyway.
Cocora Valley is one of the most beautiful places in the entire country. Even after being there a whole day, it’s still unbelievable that palm trees that tall actually exist. The place is already pretty magical with just the palm trees, but they have also added some real eye-catchers that are so fun to photograph. My two favorites are the absolutely massive Colombian flag and the floating hand at the top of the hike. The hike is of moderate difficulty, so pretty much any family can do it together.
Sad to say that such a famous tourist destination has these kinds of conditions for visitors. On a rainy day, which is very common here, the entire access area turns into mud, and you literally sink in it. If this were along the hiking trails, that would be expected, as adventure travelers are used to it. But finding these conditions right at the center of the site, at the starting point, is completely unexpected for many visitors who simply want to get to know the place. Thousands of people visit this area, so it should really have at least some basic infrastructure, like a paved access road, and more comfortable and inclusive facilities for people with limited mobility who also wish to experience this incredibly beautiful place. It’s not the only country where I’ve found such unpleasant surprises at major tourist spots, but this should be taken into account for improvement. Valle del Cocora is still a "must see", for the views, the photos, and the experience of being there. Just keep in mind that you’ll need proper clothing and footwear, because rain is very likely.
One of the best places to visit in Colombia. The full hike is fantastic and worth doing. The palms and the environment are unique and otherworldly at times. We arrived as early as possible to beat the crowds. We had our own car and the road to the valley was completely paved and easy to navigate. The early morning was the best light for the park in my opinion. We did the full counterclockwise loop hike that goes first through the jungle and ends in the palm valley. It took about about 6 hours to complete with a few rest stops for snacks and lunch. The full counterclockwise hike is strenuous enough that you should only do it if you are in semi-decent shape. There is a lot of up and downhill including one particular tough climb to get out of the jungle. You do need to keep your balance on rocks along and on the river which sometimes are slippery. The scenery was varied and beautiful, starting with going through trenches in the valley with some overly friendly cows, to a forest/jungle setting crisscrossing a river on multiple bouncy bridges, to climbing misty hills, to finally overlooking the tall majestic palms that we all came to see. We were lucky enough to see condors from the viewpoint as well. The descent through the valley kept amazing us with scenic vistas when you would hit different angles. The only thing I would change about the park would be to take out some of the instagram artwork that litters the entrance/exit of the park. I understand that these are draws for some people who want a more colorful photo to post but there really is too many of them and the trees and setting really are nice enough. The only advice I can add is to rent the boots if you are doing the full hike. I went with my normal shoes and they ended up in puddles, mud, and then the river. It is basically impossible to avoid, especially after rain which is often in that area. I had muddy shoes that wouldn't come off for the rest of my trip. I dont know how much boot rental costs as I didn't ask but I saw a lot of other hikers wearing them and I would suggest it.

I didn't get the opportunity to visit see the Mirador when I can to Filandia last year. So glad I came this time around. Absolutely breathtaking and such an amazing experience. Definitely a must see for those that visit Filandia.
It is a very tall observation deck, where you can observe very nice view of the landscape end of the town of Filandia. You said good plan to go with family and kids. The place is nice and you will have a nice time. I recommend if you go at the hour of the sunset. But it is not recommended if you were going with reduce mobility people because you have to go up a lot of stairs.
Lovely mirador, well kept grounds. There’s a cafe inside and a snack kiosk. COP$12K entry fee.
Filandia MUST GO, getting here by walking is a whole adventure but totally worth it for the amazing view and information from the coffee axis. Have in mind this place is not wheelchair friendly at all since it's located in a steep hill.
I didn’t know that this city will host NASA annual convention. Amazing place to do alien spotting and perfect way to ruin a world heritage landscape.
The horse ride, the view, the customer service, and everything else around this place is magical. Please have an Aguardiente and a Canelazo on top of the mountain. Many memories came to me. Thanks Mom.
The views are amazing, but slightly obstructed in every direction due to the odd design of this structure. It is worth visiting simply for the spectacular views, and I’d recommend arriving close to sunset to see the sun shining on the city and mountains. We called it the mothership during our time in Filandia because it looks like a spaceship. The hill itself would have wonderful views without the unfitting structure, so it’s peculiar that this was built. Worth checking out for views and spectacle.
Highly recommend checking out this place and go Up to the 9th level of the structure. Before going up the top I wasn’t very convinced. The more I went up the better I felt about the decision.

Cristian was such a great guide! Very knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. Coffee was delicious and the learning experience was invaluable. 100% recommend the full tour!
This was a great experience with wonderful views. The history is very interesting, the place is so clean. The staff are friendly and fun. Started and ended tour with amazing coffee, along with being an ambassador for coffee after the coffee baptism. Highly recommended.
Before coming here, we spent the whole day on a coffee tour where they did a much worse job explaining coffee in hours compared to the young barista who attended us at this coffee terrace in just a few minutes. You can truly feel the passion for coffee that everyone who works here has. The baristas deliver impeccable service and explanations. Of course, it’s no surprise that the coffee here is some of the best I have ever tasted. If all that isn’t good enough, there is also a terrace with beautiful views of the landscape and the small village in the mountains. I will never forget this place, a magical spot in the mountains.
The expresso was very good. The cappuccino was also very good. They have a small variety of desserts but the atmosphere and view are the real reason for coming here. The service is very good also. Enjoying the birds singing and the beautiful view really brings out your our inner peace and awakens you to a beautiful place.
The best place to learn about the world famous coffee culture and its anthology. Great tour, delicious bakery, awesome coffee and a mind blowing cocktail made with a sweet melasa made out of coffee. The landscape you can capture from the terrace has no match on this country.
We had a great time at San Alberto. We learned a lot about coffee and all the different ways of preparing it. The view was beautiful and service was excellent. I highly recommend the coffee experience.
One of the places that you have to visit in the coffee region of Colombia if you want to taste the coffee that won the most of the prices over Colombia. This cafe represents perfectly what is a perfect cup of coffee in many different types of ways. Enjoy it strong or soft, or cold or hot or in many other popular ways. Also San Alberto offers you the possibility to see the coffee process since the picking of the red beans to the drying, roasting and grilling of this coffee of this same farm for the end have a experience with some of the best "catadores" to teach you how to distinguish a perfect cup of coffee.
This is one of the cofee places that owns their own cofee farm and sells it. The cofee is definitely an experience and some are prepared on your table. The view is magnificent. There is an offering of dessert to complement your cofee but very limited and not all may be available. This is not a restaurant just in case you're looking for a real meal.

What a beautiful place and it's free! It's not very big, so take your time to discover all the treasures! The outside is worth walking around to admire the flowers and trees.
The coolest place to go to an exhibition, serch for information or just go to de reading book club.
Good free museum. A few exhibits and a cafe. Took about 40 mins to wander round. English signage on the exhibits.
Excellent place to stay as long as you want, because it is a safe and relaxing place. Inside the museum you will see a few collections of indigenous crafts and you will learn about different eras and historical events. There are also some rooms where you will see different art expressions for modern artists and also a conference room. In the surrounding of the main building, you could enjoy a beautiful garden with different trees, plants and a small pond where the frogs sing all day. It was a very good experience, the only thing to consider is that there is only one small coffee shop so the variety of food and prices is quite limited. PS: This building was designed by a famous Colombian architect named Rogelio Salmona, so if you enjoy architecture, this place is a must while visiting this city.
Happy to have an excellent museum in the Coffee Region. Beginning by the architecture, the place is great to have been done by Rogelio Salmona, one of the best architects of all Colombia. The spaces play magnificent with the water and the nature that surrounds the place in the interior and exterior. In the interior saloons you have an excellent collection of local art that will blow your mind. A big thank you to the administration for the great development.
The Museum is free to enter and we enjoyed the water feature. We noticed there was basically nothing to see so we stopped and spoke to a security guard. She explained, that the museum was closed for six years and is currently under reconstruction. It's free for now and will be completely reopened with lots to see in August 2023.
It's one of the 5 or 6 "Museo del Oro" in Colombia. This one explains who were the inhabitants of the region before the Spanish arrived. The building is well known (locally) for its architecture and it has a small but well cared garden and coffee shop.
Very beautiful and quaint museum. It's free to view everything.

What a wonderful time we had here! I couldn’t believe we were listening to comedians so early in the morning. Humor was excellent and we witnessed excellent actors playing stories all day long. On top of that there is a beautiful ecological path. You need to speak Spanish if you want to enjoy your day
Very fun park that takes you on a circuit around the park with different musical, comedy and theatrical presentations. Everything is in Spanish, both of us apeak the language so it wasn't an issue. Check the pictures for an idea. This park gives you some of the history and process of coffee in Colombia, the importance and process of sugar cane, as well as how farms and animals are used in the coffee culture.
I'm from Pennsylvania,USA,these men and weman actors put on a great show, very funny, interaction with the crowd I will be going back to the show on my next trip
This is a beautiful place, very entertaining, and a great way to learn about the culture of Colombia! Lots of fun and fantastic food!
Excellent theme park that teaches us about the coffee culture of our Paisa ancestors, I recommend it 100%.
The experience here was exquisite. There was quite a bit of people that would entertain us with their speeches and talents. The architecture is of the buildings is pretty beautiful as well. You can tell that the people here worked hard to make it a blast for visitors. Would definitely recommend going to if you want to learn about Colombian culture, 10/10
Stayed here four nights. The rooms are in nicely styled bungalows or multi-room complexes. Rooms very clean. The help was very kind. Included meals were basic, but filling and good. Two days into our stay the pool turned green and big frogs enjoyed their turn. The amusement park tour was a combination of skits. The letdown was a pigeon show. There were interesting horse shows in the horse arena.
Nice place, good food nice shows, affordable prices

Beautiful place, historic monument honoring Bolivar (as customary in Colombia), the best is the cathedral, fully in cement, but you don't realize it is really cement until you pay careful attention. My respects to the architect and builder.
It’s a beautiful place, so quiet a relax, but there are some homeless, and maybe you feel so insecure.
Love this square. Feel comfortable here. A lot of cafes around and good eating establishments. I like the fact there are activies for children to do. My 3 year old loved the electric cars on the plaza along with the electric dinosaurs to side. Nice square.
"Monumento al esfuerzo" is the title of the masterpiece created by Rodrigo Arenas Betancur for Armenia's. Also the township building is across the cathedral, a fun fact about it: back in the days all furniture and employees were located at the right side of the biulding (left wing was empty) people use to say it was related to a slight "tilt" of the tower.
A town without the central plaza is not a town in Colombia. This is one is again worthy of visiting. A couple especial items here: The government build on the side "Gobernación" offers a small art display room with very representative artists from the region. I also enjoy looking at the wide mural on one side of the plaza
The liberator, Simon bolivar born in Caracas, Venezuela and has a legacy and footprint in nearly every City in Colombia. I love the public space of the plaza where everyone gathers to skate, play music, preach the gospel, and hustle up sales for whatever business.
Sort of you post-modern concrete homage to old socialist human engineering design. Suggest you go to the side streets more flavor better coffee
A nice place to walk and enjoy the air or sit a read on one of the many benches. Full of people and full of energy. It can get a bit crowded at times throughout the day but still an enjoyable experience.

We absolutely loved our tour with Alejandra and visiting Don Leo’s cafe paradise. She was an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge and culture to share. Our 2 year old even helped sort the coffee beans. Such a cool experience in the Willy’s Jeep driving through the countryside to get there and we loved Pijao! Magical place. Thank you!!
It's not just your usual coffee tour but a whole experience! We started with a wander around Pijao and visited a beautiful traditional house, not just charming on the outside but enchanting on the inside! Followed by a 4x4 adventure to Don Leo's coffee farm. Everything felt very authentic and so well explained in a captivating and engaging way. Lunch was a delicious traditional soup. Once back in Pijao we visited a nursery which specialises in healing herbs, I learnt a lot about what herbs will help what ailments and we enjoyed a herbal tea. I had a great day out with Alejandra!
This tour was so authentic and without other tourists. We ve be been the only tourists in Pijao. There is a wonderful landscape. We met a lot of locals. Learned about Tradition , Culture , Food and of course coffee :).. It was super interesting. Our Guide was super openminded, we learned also about her past and life in Columbia and Pijao a lot. Thanks for this nice family atmosphere. In Columbia this was our best tour to see different aspects of Columbia, coffee, nature and People
Strongly recommend this tour both for locals and foreigners. I took part of this tour together to we with 4 friends (all Europeans) and had an amazing time. Alejandra is really knowledgeable and well connected in the region so she will take you to places you may not come across but yourself. During the experience you not only learn about coffee from bean to cup, you get to try and learn about specialty coffees from the actual people involved in the process. I can only recommended !
Choosing Experiencia Cafetera to learn about the Colombian coffee culture was the best decision I could have made! For three days I lived a unique space of immersion around coffee production and peasant life in Pijao, a beautiful and peaceful town that has it all: rivers, waterfalls, mountains, lovely architecture, delicious food, unbeatable coffee😃 and wonderful people. The professionalism and warm service of Juan David, Don Leo and Doña Ligia were beyond praise. Special thanks to Juan David for his knowledgeable guidance and for making me feel so at home. I highly recommend this experience for academic visits.
So you are looking for a true authentic experience in Colombia, the Coffee nation? You have probably heard of Valle del Cócora, Salento and the Coffee Park, but, is there more hidden in the Colombian Mountains? Brace yourselves into a magic adventure to one of the true traditional towns still standing in the area of Quindio: Pijao. Experiencia Cafetera will invite you to this simple but charming town who still stays faithful to its roots and the preparation of all the production of coffee; meet the incredible people who live in this wonderful place and accompany them through an exiting trip on the “Willies” to visit Don Leo and his coffee family in one of these mountains. The best of our tour was our guide Alejandra a true Colombian woman who is going to go far in this life! Full of strength and coffee dreams that made our experience complete! Thank you for showing us and teaching us the love for coffee and hope all your good energy will take you far! Do not miss the opportunity to discover more with Experiencia Cafetera
Great tour operator. The 1 day wakecup tour is an amazing and thorough way to understand every step of coffee making, from planting the seeds to savouring the cup. And you can really feel the passion and hard work that go behind it. A definite must for coffee lovers but highly recommended to everyone.
Our family spent the day with Alejandra on our last day in Colombia, and it was the highlight of our trip. Our time in beautiful, uncrowded Pijao, sampling coffees and learning about regionally vital herbs, were the bookends to an amazing visit to the finca where Don Leo devoted hours to a detailed tour of his farm. Alejandra was informative, proud, and joyous throughout, and her excellent English was a relief to our family after some struggles with Spanish! We cannot recommend Experiencia Cafetera enough.

A Beautiful and Inviting Church This church is truly a special place. The moment you step inside, you're struck by the appealing architecture and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The "pesebre" (nativity scene) displayed prominently in front of the altar adds a touch of charm and reminds you of the true meaning of the season. The mass itself was very moving, and the priest delivered a heartfelt and inspiring sermon. The overall experience was incredibly peaceful and uplifting. The exterior of the church is equally beautiful, making it a lovely spot to simply sit and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend a visit!
Our Lady of Carmen in Salento is a stunning Catholic church located in the main square, surrounded by shops and restaurants, making it a focal point of the town. Its unique architecture and beautiful stained glass windows, along with a courtyard museum of the catholic faith in the area, reflecting the rich culture and traditions of Salento. The church is always clean and welcoming, with posted mass times and ringing bells that draw both locals and tourists. This charming parish, dating back to the early 20th century, embodies the spirit of the community and is a must-visit for anyone exploring the picturesque town of Salento.
Beautiful local community church. Feels like a warm and welcoming church.
Nice church to visit!
Excellent Catholic Church in the main square of Salento. Mass times are posted out side and they’ll also ring the bells. Very kind folks attending mass and working at the church.
Beautiful and welcoming. It appears that they have a fairly open door policy. Great centerpiece to the Salento plaza. It is very photogenic, and can be captured against the mountains and plaza. The place is beautiful both inside and out.
Good food, better people! You can find many activities to do around town from there.
Beautiful old church right on the main square. The doors are open.

After a fantastic horseback ride, we visited this charming coffee farm—a perfect spot to unwind and learn. Tours are offered in both Spanish and English, but since no English tour was available at the time, we opted for Spanish. My Spanish is far from perfect, but our gracious guide spoke slowly and took the time to explain key details in English when needed. It was a wonderful way to immerse ourselves in the language while discovering the journey of coffee—from bean to plant, harvest, and finally, the cup. An unforgettable and educational experience!
A coffee farm on a human scale. The welcome was warm and the tour very interesting. You'll learn all about coffee, the different varieties, cultivation and production. At the end, you can try the finca's coffee and buy some if you like. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent, or you'll be eaten!
Excellent day out. Incredibly interesting tour from Sebas. Coffee afterwards was amazing. Great view whilst enjoying perfectly made coffee! Would heavily recommend going. We did it as part of a horse riding trip which again was fantastic.
Such an insightful and beautiful coffee tour available here! The tours are available in Spanish and English and are great value for money! You are able to learn and see each stage of the process for harvesting coffee. We had a great time here and the coffee was delicious!
Absolutely amazing tour (in English). Our tour guide was friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Las Acacias is a coffee farm that goes back Generations- they truly understand the entire coffee process and the coffee is delicious.
Sebas made our experience here so memorable - he was incredibly enthusiastic and insightful. It’s a small, family run, traditional coffee farm & tour, however this didn’t affect the level of experience and knowledge they could share. The tour included a walk around the farm, picking, grinding and tasting our own cherries - finished off with a gorgeous coffee of choice made with the beans from the farm. Super good value for money!!
We had a tour of the farm with Christhian today. He was so friendly and so knowledgable about coffee and the region and was happy to chat about Colombian history more widely. Coffee tasting was included in the price - couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you
We did the English tour with a great guide, that we recommend 100%. It was a 1h round, just enough to understand the basis about coffee production. Then, we enjoyed a good espresso in front of a stunning view and cute birds. Enjoy it💛💙❤️
