Wow-what a cozy find off of Carrera 6! While Salento has been pretty quiet, the inside garden tables were a tranquil experience. The Baba Ganoush was delicious and the drinks were great too (Deloris Cafe & GT with cucumber & rosemary). We tried the chocolate pepper cake and were impressed by the flavors. The owner was friendly and helpful.

I ordered the garlic lemon trucha and found it quite bland and filled with so many bones it was difficult to eat. The food also took about 45min to come out and there weren’t very many people in the restaurant.

Beware coffee in Colombia is acidic! Their $6k hot latte was exactly what I was looking for! It was one of the better cups of Joe's I had in that area. Also the espresso here wasn't as acidic as in other places.

The place looks really nice but they don't have AC, you're literally sweating balls when you are sitting there, all they have for that is some cheap looking fans that they'll put near the tables. leaving that aside, the food is good, nice looking presentation and flavor. if you can keep up the the humidity of place then give them a try, and don't mind the staff, it seems they can't handle a busy shift.

The menu is outstanding and offers a wide selection of appetizers, salads, main dishes, desserts, drinks and coffee. Our server, James was very attentive and professional. We appreciate good service and he was a true professional. The restaurant also sells specialty coffee, ground or whole bean. For a quality dining experience I recommend this place.

Initially we were only supposed to stay at this hostel for three nights, but we kept on extending our stay because we absolutely loved it here! The women who work there made us feel so welcome and like we were at home. We were also served breakfast in the mornings which was absolutely delicious. While we did not get a chance to visit the café in Quimbaya, my husband and I did a tour of the finca (coffee farm), and were blown away. Santiago runs the farm and the tours, and was an incredible host. We toured the farm--coffee, flowers, fruit trees--and learned the whole process of coffee, from seed to the cup. Santiago was so knowledgeable and clearly very passionate about what he does. The coffee--which you sample at the end--was amazing! A wonderful experience from start to finish, and I highly recommend it!

I will always remember Sergio (the owner and barista) for putting us in contact with the local fincas (coffee farms) and for the recommendations of hiking trails in the mountains. This guy could run the local tourist office out of business! Sergio makes excellent coffee and knows enough to teach classes at the university (for students that are unemployed) and at his café for professionals. The location of the café is in a quiet neighborhood and has a terrace towards a garden. We would highly recommend the coffee and Sergio himself to any tourist or local!

WOW! We discovered Del Toro whilst staying in a nearby Airbnb- it is our kind of place: off the beaten track, staff are super friendly and smiley. Oh and the coffee …. Out of this world. I had a slice of their rhubarb cheesecake - homemade and delicious. Daniel is one of the owners and was very helpful in making suggestions for our four day visit to the surrounding area. He is also a fantastic artist. We have been travelling for eight months in South America and this is hands down the best little coffee bar we have visited. It is fully worthy of a five star rating.

What a wonderful surprise as I was driving up the road on the Commando I detected the odor of roasting coffee and then I saw the sign for the coffee shop ahead so I decided to stop. The woman who took care of me was very good with customer service, very knowledgeable and gave me a little tour. I saw things that I have not seen before in Columbia. Here I saw French presses, Aeropress, pour overs espresso, machines and more. I inquired as for the price and they do sell French presses and Aeropresses. They also sell a mini pourover with a metallic conical filter. I ordered an espresso and an Americano so I could taste the coffee in its natural state. I did not order any of the pastries or goodies they make in their kitchen. You can see the very large and very clean baking area through a large glass window behind the counter. As that was being prepared I inquired as to the possibility of visiting the roasting area and they cordially agreed. The gentleman roasting coffee was very friendly and let me take a look at the roaster and their setup is very basic - it's not much different than what I used to do when I had my coffee business, 9th Street Coffee Roasters, in Miami, but it is smaller. The coffee is single-origin, from a single Finca, I'm not sure which here in Quindio; it follows the same basic cupping profile. All coffees here in Quindio have a little bit of pronounced sour tones mixed with acidity. It's not really possible to roast the sourness out although you can get rid of some of the acidity and high levels of roast. I think what they've done here is slow the roasting process and with this elongated roast profile, they really tweaked up the caramelization and so there's a little bit of sweetness to balance out the sourness and the acidity of coffee. I'm sure to stop your again. While this doesn't have the refined elegance of a Cafe Quindio, it does have a charm all of its own; the coffee is as good or better as Cafe Quindio and they are wonderfully friendly. This is surely as good as can Quindio coffee can get!

At my stay in Viajero, the lovely employees, especially Alejandro, went above and beyond the expectations to give us the best stay possible. Thy were out of the cake (and most postres) which I ordered based on the menu, but my girlfriend had a coke and I had an espresso. The espresso was very bitter, and disappointing for “the coffee region”. Recollecting this espresso, now, it has a strong plant/dirt like bitterness unlike any other espresso I’ve had. There were a good number of vacationing Colombians here, some arriving on ATVs. The setting is nice, but it’s basically a roadside, parking lot cafe spot.
