A wonderful afternoon out on a picturesque river through villages and farmland made perfect with our guide Ng. He made every family member feel included in the experience. Lovely to end with a drink on the banks of the river.

Nice place for a day out and a rest from the bikes small snack bar outside and a good restaurant plenty to do with kayaking tree climbing and lots of other outdoor activities

We rented equipment for the via ferrata and received friendly service. However, there was no briefing on how to use the equipment (not needed but I'd expect it anyway) and the information on the route was sparse, even after we said it'd been some years since our last climb and one of our party was a complete beginner. The staff gave us the impression the route was easier than it is, but there are exit routes that can be used to avoid the most difficult bits. I'd advise arranging a guide for beginners.

We had a beautiful half-day trip from Vuillafans to Ornan by kayak, with our 13-year-old son in a single kayak and 2 of us in a double. The Class 2 rapids were generally okay although our son did tip out of his kayak on one, and we almost tipped out twice. The river was peaceful in between the dams and the rapids, and we never went too long without some excitement. The cafe afterwards was lovely too. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that we didn’t get specific enough directions and there was no map. So when we got to a junction where there were 3 choices, we were not sure which way to go, so we went right. Fortunately someone on the bank told us to turn around after a few minutes because there was a waterfall that way. There was no signage at that junction and no one mentioned it to us in the instructions ahead of time, which would have been helpful and saved us time and stress.

Beautiful area, very pleasant on a sunny day. My son did the accrobranche and managed well. He’s a sporty boy and managed his way through but I was disappointed to see only 2 young guys sort of managing the group of people doing accrobranche. They were young students not always bothered about checking on everyone. The field on the other side of the river is left completely unattended. My son went there using la tyrolienne and stayed there for a good 15 minutes, I had no idea whether he was doing ok and was safe. I could not even talk to him or hear him, he was too far.
