Fantastic place for a family with 3 young kids. The man who drove the shuttle was especially wonderful. The pool was cold but not terrible (wish it was heated though!) The beach access via shuttle was very convenient and easy. The apartment had all we needed (including a washing machine!), though we did not really cook much. There is a baby gate for the stairs which was a big deal for us with a 9 month old crawler! I have a minor suggestion about the tub in the downstairs bedroom - it is very tall and a handlebar to get out would improve safety greatly. We are from the US so I doubt we will come back, but if by chance we are coming this way again I would stay here again and would definitely recommend to anyone I know who is looking for a more relaxed, quieter town in the region.
Spacious though spartan townhouses. We had way too much room as a couple, but it was nice to have our own bathrooms! Clean and very pretty bathroom tiles. A convenient shuttle will take you to the town/beach and back.
A Hidden Gem From the moment we arrived at reception, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine welcome. It was clear right away that the staff truly enjoy what they do. We were a large group of 14 staying across different villas, yet the reception team made every single one of us feel special. The drivers were excellent, always asking how our day had been as they took us up and down. A special mention goes to the minivan driver (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name) who drove us into Lagos a few times he was outstanding. Villas : We stayed in four different types of villas, ranging from two- to three-bedroom options, with pool views, sea views, and garden views. All of them were spotless, well-maintained, and stocked with essential pots, pans, and utensils. Bathrooms came supplied with toilet tissue and L’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash. The kitchens included a small amount of dishwashing liquid and pods, plus a washing machine for convenience. Bedding was changed every three days, and the rooms were tidied and beds made daily. Outdoor space was another highlight. In our three-bedroom villa, we had three balconies furnished with tables, chairs, and loungers, plus a roof terrace offering beautiful views. The Area: The grounds are beautifully maintained, and Nau Salema Village sits on a hill overlooking the sea. The hill is quite steep great if you enjoy a workout. Walking down is easy, but walking up feels like a session at the gym! ( We did it once) Thankfully, reception provides free transport up and down the hill, and we rarely waited more than a few minutes for a driver. For trips further a field, the hotel offers a transportation service to Lagos (€35 in September 2025). If no vehicle is available, they’ll happily arrange a local taxi. Dining & Amenities: There’s a small café by the pool. Although I didn’t use it myself, members of our group enjoyed burgers, chips, and sandwiches there, all of which they said were very tasty. The fresh orange juice was also a hit. Within the village itself, there are several restaurants. We dined at My Sushi and Aqua Na Bocca. The staff at My Sushi were very welcoming. There are also two grocery stores for essentials. The Beach: The beach here is absolutely gorgeous, with soft sand and stunning scenery. Overall: If you’re looking for a relaxing holiday or break, Nau Salema Village is a fantastic choice. Between the warm hospitality, well-kept villas, convenient services, and beautiful surroundings, it’s hard to imagine a better spot to unwind
Really fabulous staff at NAU Salema. In particular I would like to say how incredibly helpful and responsive the staff team were. In addition our villa was fabulous. Thank you!
We were here for four nights. This was a return trip for us, and our last. The experience seven years ago was excellent. Now the place is showing its age, the experience is one of being nickel and dimed, and the staff were not the friendly Portuguese we found at each of the other four accommodations we enjoyed on our trip. From excellence to mediocrity, too bad. See my comments on the rooms. In short, bad pillows make for a bad sleep, and a good bed is the primary mission of any accommodation business.
Fantastic place to stay! The Villas feel like luxury air b and bs, really quiet and private The reception staff could not have been more accomodating and helpful Love the free shuttles provided by the hotel to and from the beach as the hill was too much to walk Really clean, comfortable beds and fully equipped kitchen! Only downside was the cleaners left our ground floor back doors open which we reported to reception as anyone could have entered so monitor this!
Nau Salema Beach Village far exceeded our expectations. I want to to express a special thanks to Thiago, Miguel, Tobias and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcome. You catered to our needs (14 people), was always willing to assist us and made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. The shuttle service Nau Salema Beach provides was excellent. Our group will always remember our visit to Salema and we hope to return soon. Nau Salema Beach Village is perfect for large groups, families or anyone wishing to experience a 5 star experience.
I loved my stay at this place lovely and welcoming rooms big kitchen big living room and nice bedrooms and bathrooms pool and outside area were good and great for a family of 4, overall great stay will look to return in the future.

Lovely very wide beach with wild Atlantic waves. Lovely beach for a long walk and stunning views. Go see. Pics from February visit.
The best beach we saw in our Portugal road trip. What a cool place! Small parking, ATM and shop present. You can rent surfing gear too. Easy drive from Vila de Bispo. Was here about 8 AM so there was fog, is probably better views later in the day.
Like walking on Mars’s surface. You can easily spent the day here. Late September was a great time to visit. Parking is probably an issue in peak season.
One of the greatest scenarios I have ever experienced! Perfect for kids to run around in the sand and perfect for surfers as well!
Praia da Cordoama is a must-visit when you’re in Portugal. The view from the miradouro is exceptional, especially at sunset. It’s good to have a car to get around this area because it is more difficult to access on foot. But it is definitely worth it!!
We found this beach quite by accident and we loved it. It was at least 400-500 feet from the cliff face to the waters edge and the sand was quite firm so very easy to walk on. This beach was enormous and relatively empty, I joked about it later by saying they averaged 1 person per acre and the noise from the waves was delightful. There were maybe 20 surfers of varying skill levels to match the variety of waves that came in on long swells, some only a couple of feet high and some that I would estimate at 6-8 feet. I am talking about the waves now, not the surfers. Plenty of parking and a beach bar that looked inviting but I was the driver so I did not sample their wares. I loved this beach and that day it was heaven on earth.
Nice beach, big enough and good spot for surfing Not 5 star because the parking situations is bad
Stunning, surreal beach with breathtaking views and fun waves.

A serene, less-crowded beach on the southern edge of the Costa Vicentina in the Algarve, offering a blend of golden sands, dramatic cliffs, and clear blue waters. It’s a favorite among surfers thanks to consistent waves, but it’s also perfect for those seeking a peaceful beach day away from the tourist-packed hotspots. The beach is spacious, with enough room to stretch out and find a bit of privacy even during summer. The surrounding cliffs provide natural wind protection and gorgeous viewpoints for coastal photos. There’s a small beachside café that serves cold drinks, snacks, and simple but tasty meals—perfect for a laid-back lunch with an ocean view. Parking can be limited, especially during peak hours, so it’s wise to come early. Whether you’re surfing, swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying the natural landscape, Praia do Zavial offers a quieter and more rugged slice of Algarve coastline that’s well worth the detour.
This is yet another beach you can come to with a car and park. Fairly big beach and a lot of space for privacy.
Great beach, especially during low tide. Lots of space, convenient access and good parking. Really nice restaurant that serves quality food - cash only but there is an ATM in front of the restaurant. The east part of the beach attracts some naturists but the beach is long and wide enough to accommodate textile folks, also families. We really enjoyed this place and after visiting plenty of local beaches this is in our top 5.
Beautiful coves on the eastern side (to the far left when facing the sea). Watch out for tide times though, you may get stuck and find it very difficult to find your way back or get in the way of the waves which can reach in some point quite into the coves/beaches. Naturist areas are those past the first rocks to the left. The wind got very strong in the afternoon and made us leave. You can park at the main beach where the restaurant is.
What a nice little beach near Sagres. A lot of golf surfers where riding the waves. The beach is clean and tidy. You can easily park your car nearby at the roadside. This beach is a favorite place for surfers!🏄‍♀️
A really peaceful beach right next to the Zavial restaurant. People were surfing here, and you can climb over the rocks to go further - if you're suitably attired. There is a carpal, which was full. You can sit and watch the sand here... there is a cove that the water does come into at high tide.
Great beach and cliffs. About 6 van-loads of surfers from local schools turned up but I think it must have been too stormy that day as they went away again.
Nice beach, but when the tide is high it is not a beach for swimming and chilling in the sand. But for surfing! The space to put your towels are limited and the waves are very strong. We left after a short walk. Mostly everyone was there for surfing!

Perfect beach, great place for a walk along the coast. or just sit and enjoy the colours of the stones
We rate this beach three stars. A plus for the privacy but compared to the average beach in the Algarve this one rates lower due to the big amount of seaweed which has been left on the beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are for rent. I recommend this beach if you like a small and private beach and dont mind seaweed..... There is also a restaurant on the beach but be aware they only take cash.
This is surprisingly quite beach considering how easy it is to access. There is also a restaurant next to the beach. Nothing extraordinary here.
Came in mid November. Very peaceful and uncrowded. Being in a bay, the waves were very gentle and I was easily able to wade in past my shoulders for a very refreshing dip. No services or bathrooms this time of year. Sand is not white, cannot imagine why that was ever written in the description, but it's a lovely beach and the water was crystal clear
Nice little beach with a restaurant. Not as busy as the main tourist attractions. There was a lot of sea weed when we went but it's a beach, it happens. The setting is beautiful, old ruins, eroding cliff faces.
Perfect little beach, clear water even when up to your torso.
Incredible little beach with a very nice beach bar. No elaborate drinks, but good wine and delicious sardines!
Best beach. crystal clear water. White sand no rocks where you enter to the sea. The restaurant is only minus due the unpolite service.

Very interesting visitor centre all about Infante Don Henrique (Henry the Navigator) and beautiful, simple church with Celtic work in the window above the altar. Note the t-tree bush on the left as you leave the church
Beautiful historical property, with obviously a lot of information on Henry the navigator (because we recognized the name from the Castle in Silves) However very little transcription to English so we felt it wasn't worth the price Even though it was only $4 Euro for 2 people,
Unfortunately this lovely little, historically important church always seems to be closed. It was last year when we visited which is a shame because it also has a small museum and you could also get a coffee. Whoever is responsible please bring this place back to life.
The church is not worth a single penny, the small museum is okay, but as a non-native only if you ask for a tablet with a translated text ... if you want to see a nice church, go to Vila do Bispo
Great place to stop by. Little museum with not much information relative to the place but you can watch it by your own eyes. A pity that the sculpture of the was stolen 15 years ago.
Small but interesting Well worth the short detour of the main road
Very small insignificant church, and they charge an entry fee
A good find.. A chapel and a video in the main house with interesting facts about the Portiguese Explorers.. The small entry fee was worth the experience..

Beautiful hostel in a nice place. It is well equipped as there is a big common area with kitchen, plenty of showers and toilets, a place where to manually wash your clothes and dry them, a bar with coffee and drinks and even a pool and a volleyball field. It seems that they had really thought about all the travellers' needs. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay.
Good Feelings? Absolutely. Together with a hostel in Milfontes, this was one of the best places along the Fishermen’s Trail. I spent two days here and felt at home right away. The staff were warm, kind, and always up for a nice chat. Mornings started with real Italian coffee, and sunset came with a friendly conversation. I really liked it. Truly: Good Feelings.
An experience you don’t want to miss. If you are looking for a real guest house, meaning you meet very nice people, while enjoying comfort, this is your place. Beds and mattress are top ! Silent neighborhood, no noisy parties near by, only sounds of nature and animals, swimming pool, surf school, 5 stars breakfast and diners home made ! And every Wednesday is BBQ. It feels home when you are there. And, dog friendly ! 😍 dogs and cats are part of the house life
We had a wonderful stay at this hostel! My husband, our 12-year-old son and I felt very welcome from the start. We chose a room with a private bathroom, which was perfect for us as a family. The facilities were excellent, with a great kitchen, a washing machine, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was one of the best parts – they arrange dinners at a very reasonable price, which is such a nice way to meet people (especially if you travel alone). Once a week there’s live music, and the small bar on the terrace is a real highlight – thanks to the best bartender ever! Our son really enjoyed it too, which made the stay even more special. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and we’re really grateful for how well they took care of us. Thank you so much to the whole team – we would love to come back!
The most beautiful hostel with lovely staff and facilities. We stayed in one of the studios which was spacious and had incredible picture windows. Dinner and breakfast were available and delicious and there were loads of hammocks, a pool and volleyball court to hang out in. I'd really recommend staying here especially if you want to learn to surf, as the Good Feeling Surf School is just next door 🌞
Very nice, friendly and helpful hostel with a family-like athmosphere and the option to eat a delicious, freshly cooked, local dinner.
I Had made a wrong booking, After talking to the people they just send me the amount back. Very nice and understanding people Haven’t visited but I’m sure it’s very nice. Wish I could come. Thank you for understanding 🙏❤️
Wonderful place! Great vibe and great people, good facilities, clean, fun :) Just be mindful that the sunrise and sunset rooms are under the roof, very low ceiling and not very accessible.

Well-known coastal rock formations with caves & grottos that are often visited by boat tours.
Slide 1 of 8
One of the best trips and moments of 2025! It was a perfect spring day (March) —no clouds, no wind, just a refreshing cool breath out on the ocean. The views of the rock formations were stunningly beautiful: arches appearing one after another, the sea shifting from deep blue to light turquoise and emerald green depending on where you were. Sunlight reflected off the cliffs, changing their colors from yellow to orange to rich brown. Our guide navigated skillfully and pointed out the names of unique formations—camels, elephants, even “the Kissing Couple” arch where we were suggested to kiss each other going throgh it. Thinking of the history, it’s humbling to realize how many thousands of years it took to shape such landscapes. We used the Days of Adventure for an tour operator. The boat trip cost €20 per person for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and it was worth every cent. It’s a completely different perspective compared to the hiking trail above, which is free and also offers spectacular views. But being out on the water, surrounded by cliffs and arches, made this experience unforgettable. The natural beauty is beyond words: stunning, breathtaking, amazing.
Just visited Ponta da Piedade, and it was absolutely worth the stop. There are some fantastic walking trails along the cliffs with breathtaking views over the ocean and down to the grottoes. The paths are well-maintained, and there are plenty of spots to stop and take in the scenery. Parking was easy and convenient, making it a great place to start your walk. The views from the top of the cliffs are stunning, especially if the weather’s clear perfect for photos or just soaking in the natural beauty of the Algarve coast. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area. A peaceful, scenic spot that’s well worth a visit!
This place was beyond amazing. The views of the rock formations are mesmerizing. I did not want to leave. We arrived on the first day at 6:30 pm to see the sunset. It was cloudy but we stayed a while and the sky turned beautiful hues of pink. We returned the next day to get a better view of the rock formations. There's a lot of boardwalks to explore the areas. On the left side, there is a staircase that will take all the way down to the water and you have an option to pay for a boat ride; which last about 30-40 minutes that will take you through the grotto. I did not utilize this service due to lack of time, but I highly recommend it. Behind the small lighthouse you will find a small Cafe offering light snacks, with tables and chairs. Large parking lot available a short walk away with plenty of parking. The earlier you go the better to avoid large crowds.
Great for walking and running! The trail is in excellent condition and easy for anyone to enjoy. From sunrise to sunset, it’s a peaceful place with beautiful views - just keep in mind that in summer it can get quite hot, as there’s not much shade along the way.
Most wonderful trail you’ll find in a v long time! Easy access and lots of wooden platforms available for those who do not feel like walking into the rocks. Saying the view was gorgeous is simply an understatement. You need to visit if you’re close. A must for everyone lucky enough to get to Lagos.
This place was extraordinary, captivating and better than imagined. If you are within 100 miles of this place, can walk a mile, go up and down stairs, make it happen is all that I can say. A highlight of my trip:)
Beautiful rock formation and cliffs . Beaches are overcrowded but the ambience is great. Bus facility is reasonably good or if you can walk 2.2km then walk to Lagos train station from here. No tickets are needed to visit this place .

Seemed to be set up for music, but nothing happening on Saturday night. Otherwise a bit sad.
Visited here twice during our 2 day visit to Vila do Bispo. Delicious sangria and super friendly staff! Wished we could've visited in the evenings too!
Delicious sandwich!
Super welcoming staff! Made a great impact on a hot spring day, took good care of us with cold beverages. Price performance beyond amazing. Very authentic. Must visit!

As many said, to do not go to this point, instead go to ; 37°05'46.4"N 8°57'05.0"W. The view of the beach is amazing, especially if you have the chance to go during a very windy day and if the ocean has big waves. Note that the road is very very bumpy and you have to drive very slowly while trying to avoid rocks and holes on your way there, so it's not necessarily for everyone and every car! But the view and the feeling you get up there is worth it. It's much nicer and impressive than Cabo Da Roca and way less touristy!
We did a hiking tour of about one hour from Vila do Bispo to the Torre de Aspa. The road is rather boring - we recommend to go by car. Also do not only stop at the Torre de Aspa - which is rather boring - but go to Ponte de Aspa: there you will have a stunning view and can visit a nice streetart ruin / house.
one of the best views in west algarve. 140m high above sealevel. very quiet. beetween Beach Castelejo and Eagle Beach( eagle beach view close to a old house).
Absolutely recommendable restaurant. Great atmosphere, very friendly, very good enjoyable dishes Portuguese Style. Reasonable prices. Unfortunately they didn't share the recipes. Try the tuna spread with olives and the authentic bread as a starter. We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you!!! Manuela and Petra
Stunning place, but if you want to drive there, be aware that the roads are not paved with a lot of bumps and big rocks. Doesn't recommend if you don't have a high suspension car.
Amazing viewpoint. You need a car that you can drive on unpaved roads... It's absolutely worth the view ...
Beautiful area, gorgeous scenery, untouched landscapes, absolutely recommended. Usually it is a bit windy and fresher than further inland in the Algarve. The Costa Vicentina provides for wonderful walks and long hikes. Some of the views and beaches are absolutely breathtaking.
The abandoned house isn’t here but it’s not on Google Maps. You will need to drive on a little (I think it was straight, right, left, then straight on from memory). Road can get a little tough in a small vehicle.

What a beautiful retreat to spend time at! Loved every bit of it, from our lovely host Jana, to accommodation, yummy food, location, yoga sessions, yoga teachers, and the whole setup. I loved our trek to the beach and the picnic lunch. It was all set up really well and now I have a new family consisting of EVERYONE that I have met on my trip. Will I do this again? for sure! Thank you all! xxx
Enjoyed an incredible weeks retreat at Mekayoga. Highly recommended for brilliant yoga teaching including meditation and breath work and a day of silence. A time to switch off and rebalance in simple clean accommodation with a pool and beautifully hosted by Jana. Worth hiring a car to explore Sagres and surrounding beaches. I went alone as did most others. A fab group from all over the world. Loved my time there.
I recently attended the wonderful Meka Yoga Retreat located in Villa De Bispo in Portugal, which was an absolutely transformative, amazing experience. On arrival the host, the beautiful Jana, immediately put everyone at ease and provided a truly welcoming environment. She is totally amazing at her job!! This was one of the best weeks I have ever experienced. I used to phone home and tell my family ‘it just keeps getting better’. I was not practicing yoga before my trip, so I was very wary about my ability to keep up with everyone during the sessions; I need not have worried as every one of the yoga instructors were totally amazing and made me feel so comfortable and capable throughout the entire week. I really felt a difference when I returned home with my physical and mental abilities! The food provided on this retreat was absolutely stunning! Nothing was ever a bother… I admitted to Charlotte and Jana one afternoon that I had brought sneaky treats with me in my suitcase, but the shocking thing was, that I took them all home with me again! The food was so satisfying that I did not need anything else. I had so many wonderful experiences during this week (including paddle boarding!) that I can’t wait to go back again! A wonderful surprise was when I met Michael and following a brief conversation regarding my 9 year old daughter he immediately suggested doing a short video to send home to her; she was absolutely over the moon to receive his message and now wants to know when she can go lol. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience and for helping me make some amazing life changes x x x
Thank you for an incredible retreat experience! I had a lovely stay with delicious food, knowledgeable yoga instructors, and the warm hospitality of our host, Jana. A huge thanks to the entire team for their efforts and genuine care throughout my time there. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful!
A retreat at Meka Yoga in Portugal is in so many ways a good decision. Lovely host Jana, terrific cook Charlotte and excellent yoga & breathwork-teachers Nick, Andy, Giullia and Michäel made every day a happy day. The location and nature around the villa is wonderful and rooms are very comfortable. I rented a car to explore the area (beaches, towns) during the free time in the program. But staying at the poolside is just as nice. So, if you’re looking for a lovely retreat with great food, yoga-classes and a relaxed vibe, this is the place to go!
Mekayoga retreat was a game changer for me! Everyone at the Mekayoga camp did genuinely their best to give us an awesome experience. Michael has been my virtual teacher for years, so I knew I would be in good company. But it surprised me to find out that there was such a versatile variety of yoga teachers, of whom everyone taught different techniques and approaches to yoga, meditation and breathwork. Not only body and soul had been looked after, but also the belly. Up to four times a day we were served delicious food to die for!
My friend Sasja and I had a magical week with beautiful Girls at a beautiful place. A beautiful gift for ourselves 🙏🏼❤️ No goodbyes, only see you laters 💕 Special thanks for Sarah, Inez, Julia, Nick, Charlotte and Michael for the love, good food and sweet yoga practices… It was a week I’ll never forget! A big kiss to Shiva 🐶😘
Very special week with a lovely group of people! Jana is the most wonderful and warm host .. a beautiful person inside and out . Charlotte’s food was spectacular. The yoga teachers were all fabulous. Accommodation and yoga deck felt incongruous with the standards of everything else as it was extremely basic but the beaches and walks were close by and made up for this . Overall it was good value and very clean .

History from times long past. The significance of the stones must have been enormous back then (just the laboriousness of their production!). Today it is less important. Nevertheless, the place exudes a certain charm precisely because of this. In contrast to other reviews here, there are actually several stones, but you have to look for them. The main stone is not fenced off and is less than 10 m from the road. Parking is also not a problem at all (but beware of fast cars!). But of course, there is no special tourist program here. You have to be able to enjoy less exciting things too.
Very hard to be found. It is 100m before the first house on the right in the way signed as megalitic monuments. It can be seen from the road if you drive low low speed
I thought it was great. But as a Kiwi where we have nothing like this, I love standing stones/menhirs/henges etc. Stopped at the top of the hill near and on the left of the sign and found a toppled stone near the trig point. But you have to go several hundred meters further on and there it is, ten meters from the road on the right. Got lucky, Max the US student studying in England was there doing his masters on these stones. 5000 bc or 7000 years old, not by settled farmers but more shepherds. What were they thinking dragging and shaping these rocks? Could have been getting food or having a holiday. In a line back up to the one I found lying down and onwards. Not a circle. Max to the left, Steve on the right. Nearly the antipodes of where I live in NZ!
An accessible glimpse into deep prehistory! A fantastic piece of history right by the roadside. The Menhir of Padrão is a beautifully shaped standing stone from the Neolithic period, making it over 6,000 years old. It's not massive, but knowing it was placed here by some of Europe's earliest monument builders gives me a real sense of awe. It's amazing to see the faint carvings and think about what they meant. The location is perfect for a quick stop on the way to the coast. You can park easily and walk right up to it. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the western Algarve to connect with a truly ancient past!
Don’t touch it.!.!. Or… Touch it.!.!. I’m not sure whether it heals or curses you, so we didn’t touch it. Why is this here? Who put it there? What was it like back then. How did it make it onto Google Maps? Does Google maps actually get things? Why did I stop? Is this what humanity finds interesting? All kinds of questions. It’s a reason to stretch your legs.
Great Menir, historical piece of rock, emanating the energies of a different time. My dog was especially fond of it.
Good overall condition, some little indentations still can be seen
Loved seeing this neolithic stone. Also visit the museum in st Ilves for more info on other monoliths.

Absolutely fabulous! We went for a one hour hack with two very experienced riders and two novice riders and the whole experience couldn’t have been better! The hack was catered to the novices which suited perfectly, would absolutely go back in the future (or tomorrow if I could!). Very well run and all the horses/ponies are totally bombproof so there’s no fear if you’re a nervous rider. Couldn’t recommend QPA highly enough.
Great first experience! The views and trail were amazing! Experienced, helpful and english speaking staff led us along the way. Calm and well trained horses. Had great chat with the owner. Would recommend the place, especially for novice riders.
Really lovely people! You receive a very friendly welcome and receive clear explanations. You're given as much freedom as possible to cuddle your horse and get to know him or her! The horses look very well cared for, and the place exudes tranquility. We went on a sunset ride, and it was beautiful! In short, highly recommended!
We had a wonderful morning on the trails. A very friendly, family run business with well behaved horses. Highly recommend!
I had a great one hour ride as a beginner. There could have been a little bit more communication at the beginning about how to lead the horse but overall great experience! The horse was very calm and knew exactly what to do. The horses looked all healthy and happy
Had a great trek with a friendly guide and very well behaved horses. Great way to see another side of the algarve, away from the sea, but also very close to Lagos.
Booked a 2 hour trek and had an amazing time. It was just myself and the guide and the scenery was spectacular. Loved that I was paired with a horse that actually required riding skills and wasn’t the typical dead to the world trail horse that’s often the case at trail riding places. We were staying in Alvor and the drive out was easy, however don’t trust google maps 😂 unless you want to do some serious off roading. Will definitely book again if I’m ever in Portugal again.
We've been visiting QPA with our daughter over the last years and it's an awesome spot! She's now 4 and loves riding Bolly, Penny and Romeo :-) The horses are well cared for and the scenery is beautiful :-)
