The beach was beautiful, filled with vibrant colours such as the red-orange sands and bright blue waters. The sand was so soft. The area seemed to be very well maintained as there was no litter around. The water was cool and it was pleasant to dip my toes in. However, in the water the floor was full of rocks so I would recommend wearing some type of flip flops. This was an amazing place to go to especially at sunset time as the views were amazing and the beach was pretty empty.
One of the best beaches in Malta and Gozo everall. I visited this beach on a very windy day with big waves and even the red flag raised. Still, some people were swimming. The beach was a bit crowded but very clean, and the sand felt incredibly soft.
Beautiful and also imaculately clean beach. We spent only 2 hours here but enjoyed every moment. Two bars near the beach are okay and offer variety of food as well as drinks.
The beach itself is okay, but unfortunately there's a lot of algae and other similar plants. Near the beach, there's a mountain with a cave.
A very picturesque beach with an unusual sand color, almost like clay. There are umbrellas and sunbeds for €7 each. At the entrance, there is a toilet. You can also find a café to grab a snack or buy water. There are no changing facilities. The entrance to the sea is over rocks, but it’s very shallow and gradual, making it great for snorkeling.
The sand is red-orange in color There are stones on the beach, as well as near the water.Be very careful not to hit yourself. The beach has sun loungers and umbrellas; for two sun loungers and one umbrella you will pay 21€.We didn't like it. It would be better to go to the blue lagoon. The beach is not for everyone.
A nice contrast to the rocky beaches :) The downside - like any other beach I visited, this one also has no visible changing booths.
Ramla Bay truly took our breath away — it’s unlike any other beach we’ve seen in Malta or Gozo. The deep golden-red sand feels soft underfoot, and the wide open space gives it a peaceful, untouched vibe. Surrounded by green hills and natural beauty, it’s the perfect mix of sea and countryside. The beach is family-friendly, with gentle waves and shallow water ideal for kids. There are public toilets, a small café, and sunbed rentals, making it easy to spend hours here comfortably. Whether you’re walking along the sand, enjoying the view from Mixta Cave above, or just relaxing with your feet in the water — Ramla Bay offers a unique, calming experience you won’t forget.

Loved stopping by Ta Mena on our trip around Gozo. Marnes was very generous and offered free wine/liqueur tastings. She even made up some snacks for us to take to the beach later!
Wonderful small shop with wines, local jams, olives, honey, and fresh vegetables. The owner is welcoming and lovely.
Even though the wineyard is being renovated and everything happens in a small shop, the food was great (we loved the tomato paste and olive oil) and the tasting of their wines is free. Also the hostess is an interesting and funny woman that made the whole experience really enjoyable. High value products for the price. Highly recommended
This may be the most hidden of Gozo’s many gems. An incomparable experience of authentic Gozitan wine, food, history, and culture was had here. My wife and I were offered immeasurable hospitality and generosity as we were treated to Ħobż biż-żejt (bread with sweet tomato paste and olive oil), a wide variety of locally-produced red and white wine, Gozitan cheese, and gluten free sweets (my wife is celiac). As lovers of wine, we can say that this multi-generational family of grape-growers and wine-makers is producing some of the finest wine at the best prices on Gozo. Of equal quality is their homemade tomato pastes, jellies and jams, and sweet treats. Do not pass by their unassuming store front—there is excellence within.
Such a charming little store with fresh local produce, preserves, liqueur, wine, cheeses and more. Definitely go here if you’re around the area - the lady in the shop is so lovely and offered us a taste of her beautiful wines and fruit liqueurs, which were so unique and flavoursome. Go here while visiting Gozo!
We came on a Saturday afternoon, visited the farm and listened to Joseph share about the family history and experiences of running the Ta Mena Estate. It's evident that it's a hard business to run, especially with the high standards of organic production that they have. The wines and antipasti were delicious, especially the Rosé and the Gabillott (red) wines as well as the tomato paste! All around a great experience and excellent value for money!
The estate is a bit different from the winery. As of 8/31/24, the estate is undergoing renovation. However, there is a small shack by the estate entrance where you can try the wines made here along with a lot of tomatoes, paste, and other items. The hostess was very nice and let you try the wines at your own pace.
A fabulous shop selling delicious, unique local produce. We bought olives, jams and oranges from here and were so pleased with everything. The tomato paste is a must too! It was so lovely visiting a family-run shop that has been there for many years, and service was so friendly. We are so glad we came across Ta Mena!

Such a cool place to visit. Definitely worth a visit and free entry with your ticket from the ruins.
Visited because it was included with the Ġgantija Archaeological Park ticket, so I mean why not. A cute windmill to visit, kind workers, clean bathroom, organized and clean site. Tight at the top with others but a great conversation starter for sure 😆. Overall pretty good
If you’ve never been inside a windmill before, this is definitely worth a visit. It’s a unique experience where you can also read a lot about Malta’s history and how important bread was in daily life.
Entry to the museum is €10 on a combined ticket with the nearby Ggantija Archeological park (the latter makes is worthwhile) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums in Victoria (Citadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park and Ta Kola windmill. The windmill makes for an enjoyable 15 minute visit, but I wouldn't trek out to Ggantija just to see it. It is also wholly unsuitable for people who cannot handle lots of twisting stairs (you can see it from the outside though). The windmill is prettier on the outside than the inside, so you may not wish to actually pay for entry of you don't have a ticket for the nearby Archeological park.
We only visited because entry was included in the Ggantija ticket, but I'm very glad we did. A beautiful old windmill that a local man kept working until he died in the 1980s. He was a blacksmith too, and seemed to have made all his own tools. It was great to be able to walk to the very top and see the shaft and gears close up, and marvel at the construction from around 270 years ago. If you're visiting Ggantija it's well worth the 2-minute walk to visit.
We bought the combo ticket which included entry to the temples. There was no waiting time, the staff were friendly, and the windmill was quaint and well-preserved.
This is a very interesting museum, situated just a five-minute walk from the Ġgantija Temples.
Very interesting with lots of artifacts to see inside and great views from the top of the windmill's windows.

Very neat little attraction you would not expect in the center of a town. The story goes the man's grandfather was digging down to search for water and came across this cave. The stairs descend about 25 ish feet into the ground, and one thing that shocked me was how warm it was. Usually, caves in the ground are 70 degrees F, but this was closer to 80 or 85 degrees. Entry was only 3 euro per person and worth it for a quick stop.
Not very big, but worth a visit if you're nearby. The story - finding a cave while digging a well, and the spending years to dig it out - is fascinating. We were given a tour by the great-great-great-great-grandson 🙂
Pretty incredible little stop in the city, the two granddaughters of the man who discovered the cavern face a very good guided tour. Would recommend if you’re trying to get out of the heat for a bit.
Well worth a visit and very beautiful to see. The tour was great and very interesting. We were shown round by a little old Maltese lady who was the granddaughter of the man who discovered it while digging it out for a well. She told stories and the names of different stalactites and rock formations that have been passed down through generations. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and has no set price, all she asked is for a small donation minimum of 3 euros. But feel free to donate more as it's well worth it.
Lovely little grotto underneath the houses. Lots of other posts with info and I wouldn’t want to take away from the hosts presentation as we were shown around by a great, great (not sure how many greats) granddaughter and younger sister (?) of the man that first dug in to the grotto. Very sweet and worth a quick visit.
One of the most unique experiences in Gozo. The cave is 8 meters below the ground, and the tour is led by a descendant of the man who discovered it, which makes it even more special. She explains things really well.
What a cool spot! Under someone’s house, you ring a bell and pay €3 and it’s a quick 10-15min guided tour
Mary-Ann opened up the grotto and gave us a private tour. Originally dug out for a well to 14m in 1923 by her husband's grandfather, he instead found the grotto. For years he worked away to create a mini labyrinth of fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, opening to the public after WWII. What a great marvel, given the tools of the time. Definitely make time to stop by. For 3 euros, it's a "must do ".

Beautiful church situated in a small square in the center of the town. Worth a visit, especially during Christmas time. We had a great opportunity to observe these amazing models representing the birth of Christ.
Wow, this place is stunning. Such a beautiful building. I couldn't find any part which wasn't covered in some kind of decoration. Very pleased to have gone inside.
Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady - another beautiful church on Gozo-definitely worth having a look. Come and see!
This was a beautiful church - the architecture was fantastic! I have more photos and will add when I locate them. I have a 'thing' about churches - especially when in another country, so this was a marvelous one to see. It was hard to think that the first Xaghra church was built in the 13th century!
This is a really magnicent building and the architecture us really wonderful almost breathtaking inside.
Amazing church from the outside and breathtaking inside. A must visit when on Gozo as a tourist and such a great square around it with plenty of bars and restaurants to sit and admire it too.
Yes, beautiful church but what it made it unique for us is the fact that while visiting it with a 1 year old and 3 years old, a man came to talk to us and welcomed us. We ended up talking for around 30 mins about Malta and Gozo in general, he was so friendly and caring. He was the priest! I have never encountered a catholic priest so approachable. His heart shows the real mission of the church. Thank you Father Joseph!
Xaghra Parish Church The Xaghra Parish Church, Marija Bambina Basilica, became a parish in the mid-17th century. The first church was built in 1688, and the church you see today laid its first stone in 1815. There are a number of priceless works of art inside the building, but the main feature is the statue of the Virgin Mary, which was brought from Marsielle, France, in the 1700s. The altarpiece was made by Carlo Zimech and brought over from Senglea, Malta in the mid-1700s. It is a stunning marble piece as is all the work in the interior of this Basilica. The church is located in Xaghra’s main square.

An amazing experience that should not be missed if you make it to the beautiful island of Gozo. Super hospitality and great conversation, all whilst horse-riding down from Xaghra Valley to Marsalforn, just in time for the sunset. They cater for all levels and it is evident that the horses are very well cared for! Strongly recommend.
Very highly recommend, Lino and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. I rode while my husband and son were on a carriage ride in front. We were made to feel safe and comfortable and had a lovely time
Really good experience, we did a mix of riding and driving. Fun trip down the country roads and helpful with experienced and beginners alike. I would recommend throughly! They are a very experienced stable (Also don’t forget to bring cash along)
Was an amazing experience, I’ve travelled to gozo 12 times now and never have I experienced the scenery in such a beautiful way! My partner is an ex jockey and I am a beginner rider and yet both of us were able to have heaps of fun and the horses matched our abilities well!
I opted for a 2 hour horse ride with my Wife and 1 y/o daughter. Lino and His Wife were very friendly and accommodating. My Daughter and I sat in a carriage and My Wife followed on a horse. The horses are well kept, in great condition and very happy. They were easy to control and we all felt perfectly safe at all times. Lino explained a lot about the horses and even gave excellent advice for our stay. If you're in Gozo, don't miss a fantastic opportunity to do something you don't do everyday.
I went with my partner for my birthday and it was fantastic! We rode Whiskey and Ginger and they were incredible! Lino looked after us very well and he was an amazing guide. We had lots of fun
What a lovely man. Recognized my sister wasn't an adventurous rider so kindly offered her a ride in the sulky while I rode. It was absolutely the perfect scenario for us. We enjoyed a 2 hour tour with a mix of country and suburban. My sister enjoyed nice conversation along the way and heshowed us his beautiful dogs afterwards. Very nice man and nice to enjoy Malta scenery by horse.
Great tour. Lino was super friendly and took care of us very well. Highly recommended while in Gozo

Not impressive as a cave if you've been in one before, but impressive because of it's placement and history. We thought it was a scam when we saw the sign on a door in a building not far from the town square. Luckily we were spotted before we could turn around and leave, so we ended up having a lovely experience. We were shown down in the basement by the wife of the man whose great grandfather discovered the cave while digging for a well and then left it for people to enjoy. It had a certain magical atmosphere to step into a cave with stalagmites and stalactites below an apartment building. And the lady was a gem of information about culture and Gozo heritage. There's only room for a few people down there at a time and you only stay at the entrance of the cave, but you shouldn't miss out if you're in Xaghra. It's only a short walk from the Ggantija temple. You pay by donation so bring cash. They deserve it for sharing this experience with the public 😊
Nice ancient cave discovered by the owner of the house when he was digging and searching for water. Now his granddaughter is taking care of his legacy. Cheap access, only four euros per person, and if you like archeology you must visit this sight.
Not quite what I expected but still nice once you're in there. You have to go down a small passageway, ring a doorbell and a little old lady will let you in. It's just a room beneath a house where there's only enough room for about 4/5 people to stand.
This is a free visit cave. Thanks to the lady, who gave me all details on how this cave was founded by her grandfather 130 years ago. This is a naturally found & well preserved cave. Only this disappointed me was, it's a very small cave of maybe 5000sqmeter approx. Also there are very limited public transits in that area.
I really couldn’t believe it. It is in a sweet lady’s house. She is amazing and has a lot go tell about the cave. The entrance fee is a donation of your choice to charity. Amazing and spontaneous interaction
Lovely cave in the basement of someone’s home!! When I arrived there was no one there but a bell to ring, and a lady came from next door and gave a me a tour and the history of her family. 2€ donation but totally worth it.
A beautiful cave located under a family house. The guide has a beautiful story about how the cave was found by her great grandfather. The cave is also free which was nice. As a whole experience it was very nice and personal. Really recommend to go if you are around this area.
Totally mind blowing that Guzepp Rapa discovered this in 1888 when digging for a water well to build his house. Fantastic that his grand-daughter (an elderly lady) is still showing people round and sharing her family story.

We really enjoyed our Tour with the Buggy Cart on Gozo! Our Guide Stefan from Belgium was just Mint! Super personality and a Gent!! Thank you for an unforgettable day!! We would do it always over again. Cheers <3
An amazing experience from start to finish! I had never driven a quad before and I’ll admit I was a little nervous, but the team took plenty of time to explain everything – and, to my surprise, it’s actually very easy! Safety is clearly a top priority, and every instruction was given with great care and attention. We spent the day touring the entire island, stopping at stunning viewpoints, charming little villages, and breathtaking spots. A truly unforgettable moment was swimming in the Blue Hole – pure magic for someone who loves the sea as much as I do. Lunch was included in a local restaurant, perfect for recharging (and giving your thumb a break – anyone who does this tour will know exactly what I mean! 😄). On the way back, we boarded a boat for a stop at the Blue Lagoon. Yes, it was a bit crowded, but the beauty of the place more than made up for it. Before returning to Malta, we also visited the caves behind the lagoon, small but charming and so typical of the area. A well-organized, safe, and incredibly fun day, with a staff who were always attentive, patient, and ready to look after everyone. In short: a perfect mix of adventure, sea, and spectacular views… the kind of day that makes you say: “So, when are we doing this again?”
We had an incredible experience with Yippee Gozo Tours! The tuk tuk ride and boat trip were absolutely fantastic. Our tuk tuk driver, Michael, was a highlight of the day — his kindness, great energy, and fun spirit made the whole adventure even more memorable. He shared stories and history about each place we visited and really brought Gozo to life for us. The boat ride over to the island was beautiful, and the swimming stop was so refreshing and fun. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout the day. We’re so grateful for such a special and well-organized tour of Gozo — truly a wonderful way to experience the island!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the day cruise to Comino’s Blue Lagoon. The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, with plenty of space to relax both in the sun and shade. The crew were friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and looked after throughout the trip💙 The highlight, of course, was the Blue Lagoon itself — the water is unbelievably clear and turquoise, like something out of a postcard. Swimming and snorkeling there was magical, and we also enjoyed exploring some of the nearby caves and coastlines from the boat🥰 We also really appreciated that we had enough time to enjoy the area without feeling rushed👍Having the option to relax onboard with refreshments served by the friendly Crew, we was very spoiled and happy, much appreciated for that😎Overall, it was a perfect combination of relaxation, stunning scenery, and fun. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Malta — it’s an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our holiday!🌞 A Big ThankYou to Wonderful Crew from Saturday 13th September Morning Cruise 👏
What a gorgeous island with absolutely amazing vibes & breathtaking sights. Great company and super friendly tourists. The Jeep Tour was great with a few too many unfortunate drawbacks. Even with a tour guide, who was super friendly and chilled, we got lost twice & missed the rest of the group only to reconvene and hear stories. 😒 The lunch offered was extremely unpleasant & inedible. Like really bad! We were courier back to the harbour over 1hr delayed & in the wrong location so had to “sprint” across the harbour for the last boat.
Worked with Jennifer at yippee and she scheduled an amazing time. First we went on a boat and got a private tour of multiple caves on Gozo and Comino. He made especially sure to remind us to take photos of the beautiful colors of the water shining in the caves. Very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the islands. Took a dip on the private side of the blue lagoon. Then to finish up the day Mike the driver got us to our ATV sunset adventure. I cannot stress enough how they treated us so well like royalty as regular people. Our ATV guide Wesah was great to make sure we got the best views and photos. Even though one person in our party was nervous on the ATV he was patient and never got us lost. Being the passenger in vehicles on our trip made me nervous to drive on the streets but he made sure the way was clear every time. Also the drivers on Gozo seem to be more aware of the ATV riders than on Malta main island. Overall I cannot stress enough how well Yippee Jennifer, Mike, Joseph, and Wesah took care of us and made our adventure the best day out of 10 days in Malta.
Had a fantastic time on a sunset tour of Gozo. Our tour guide, Emilio was very knowledgeable, fun and knew all the best places to take the group. It was a really interesting part of Malta and highly suggest the tour. The purple and yellow tuk tuk was also awesome!!! Thanks Emilio again for really making our time in Malta brilliant.
We did the quadbike tour of Gozo with Sam and Leon, and we had the best time! The guys were a lot of fun and they went over and above to make our day special. We saw most of Gozo's top tourist spots, as well as some off-road locations. Highly recommend this company to anyone visiting the island. Thanks again Sam and Leon!

Unique collection of antique toys, figurines and games from various countries. The museum owner was friendly and engaging, giving us backstory on a number of exhibits. Would recommend for anyone looking for something different to do while in Gozo
As per other reviews, they need to sort out their opening hours. Turned up with my toddler & it was closed despite google suggesting otherwise; see photo of plaque & see if you can decipher!
Fascinating collection of curios. The owner is very friendly and keen to demonstrate exhibits.
A brilliant place for people born since the 1950s, they'll find lots of toys they played with. It brought back lots of memories of the toys I played with then, both mine and my slightly older friends in the village. The people who run the museum are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I'll certainly be visiting this museum again, the next time I'm on Gozo, because I'm sure I missed lots of things with spending so much time reminiscing on the toys. Thank you for taking me back 60 years.
This was just another treasure we found on an adventure to Gozo during our family visit to Malta! It seems like this museum is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood- no big crowds. It was quaint and intimate. Of course, my 4 daughters (ages 1-11) were all thrilled to look at each an every one of the toys. And, we were not too surprised to learn that Edward Lear loved his visits to Gozo just as much as we did. Best for me, though, was having a chance to chat with the woman working there. I love getting to know more about the area we are visiting by chatting with locals. She was working on making a special kind of Maltese lace, which also interested me very much! She was so warm and welcoming. It's worth spending some time in this sweet museum to soak up some history!
This was a delightful find close to Xerri's grotto. Our toddler loved looking at the toys in the glass cases, and there are even a few toys they can play with (carefully!). It is small, but worth a visit.
Interesting but very small. You'll have a warm welcome and maybe a show of old toys by the owner.
Nice and very interesting toy museum. The owners should think about getting some help to maintain it a bit...maybe volunteering...

We had a lovely tour with our driver Jonathan through Gozo island. We were taken to almost every corner of the island, and each sight was prettier than the other. I recommend booking a tour of your choice to experience the island in its entirety.
We enjoyed the Gozo Local trip with Jon. Everything perfect, very nice trip and beautiful island.
We did a Gozo day tour with the Gozo taxi service and we loved it. Our guide was John, a local vom Gozo which knew all the best places. He drove us around the island to beautiful spots and waited sometimes even 2 hours to pick us up again. I would always recommend their services, it’s the best way to explore Gozo.
We took a four hour tour of Gozo with John and it was wonderful. He gave us overview of different sights, adapted the itinerary to accommodate our interests. Overall it was a excellent experience and a great way to see Gozo.
I would like to sincerely thank Gozo Taxi Service, most particularly Jonathan, for their incredible support. I truly appreciated their help in taking care of my students. Their reliability and kindness made a real difference. Thank you so much!
Excellent service from Gozo to the airport - booked way in advance and the customer service (and driving) was A+. (You taxi to the fast ferry, then meet a second driver in Valletta.) Flawless.
Driver was very polite and gave us a good tour of the main attractions of the island. Van was spacious and comfortable. We managed to get around without having to navigate and deal with trafic, parking etc.
We are so glad we booked John for our day trip to Gozo. He picked us up from the Ferry terminal with a big smile. Such a gentlemen. He took us to all the places we wanted to visit and more places with Gozo’s natural beauty that we didn’t consider. He didn’t rush us at all and took some lovely photos of us too. Really makes a positive difference to the tour when you have a local guide. Thank you John we are so grateful Ikbal & Saajida from UK
