If you want to see tuna that's almost as big as people, then go to Market 1. They have blue marlin and yellow fin tuna. Go early, maybe at the latest 7:30 to 8:00 AM as the catch of the day would be sold and packed if you go any later than this time. Bring an ID and follow their dress code. There are boots that can be rented near the entrance.
An interesting site in GenSan, though not a tourist spot per se. It offers a unique experience, especially since the city is known as the Tuna Capital. Sleeveless tops and shorts are not allowed, and visitors are required to wear boots. There’s a booth where you can rent attire that complies with the dress code.
saw how big fishes from the tuna capital of the philippines are distributed. you can buy a whole tuna here and have it packed for plane travel
It was a fun visit. My wife paid. I do not remember the cost of the fees. I think under 500 php. They have a dress code. Pants White rubber rain boots Those were the two important things to have. Rent 50 php each. Check list Pants White boots Coolers Helper Bags or buckets to carry fish. Ice they will give you ice if you ask A cart if buying a lot. (No walking space in the market. Outside the building, you can leave a cart) Do not worry. You can rent (50 php each) them at the entrance left on the roadside before the guard booth. There are 4 markets. Some places inside to rent. Market 1 by parking lot can rent too. Mark one was all the large tuna. There you will send more money, because the place sells whole large tuna. Market 2 to 4 they seem the same. they have mixed stuff smaller fish (under 1 kilo here) Shrimp Squid Octopus Tuna Other fish
Queen Tuna is here! You must be on the port early in the morning as they dump their Tuna's very early. There's no entrance fee when you go here. When we went here, we only signed up on the gate and leave one government ID. There is a dress code as you enter, you can't wear sando, shorts and slippers. You can rent boots before the gate and must pay 100 per pair. I went here on my sando but manong driver is so good that he let me borrow his jacket. Kudos manong driver hehe. The tunas here are legit giant. You can take a picture inside and have fun! We had a great time here!!
The area is cleaned and they follow high standards in their operation procedure in processing new arrival fishes.
Dreamy City in the heart of Mindanao. Life is beautiful here and bountiful! Sun is up all day but nights are clear and bright. No smug and the stars twinkle at night. Tunas are huge and very fresh! The fish port is a must visit while in GenSan.
It was a great experience to tour around general santos fish port complex. Providing the city the tastiest tunas in Mindanao which has been served not only in the Philippines but also in the world. Proud to be generals ❤️

Best place to jog in Gensan! They have a designated lane for joggers. Safe place for kids too especially in the morning. It’s a little dark during night time though. Also, it’s better to close the road between the plaza and court for an ever safer jog loop. There’s a lot of joggers here so it’s not an awkward place to run!
This hidden gem is a breathtaking nature spot that's truly worth discovering, stunning views, peaceful surroundings, and to top it off, the food is delicious and budget-friendly. Highly recommended!
Nice park. Quite peaceful and relaxing. I even saw a small praying mantis.
It's okay. Good place for a rest, but just has too much people, especially at Noon or Afternoon. A-ok place for a walk as well, and has ample amounts of decorations as well, good for picture taking. Not against beggars, but there's numerous of them going around the place as well. Not like anyone can blame them though for doing so.
I recently visited General Santos plaza, surrounded by lush trees, and it was an absolutely perfect spot to relax, unwind, and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. I found a peaceful corner under the shade of a massive tree and spent hours watching people walking while enjoying the gentle breeze. I like the greenery vibes..
After Church ⛪ 😌 me and my son was having a good time there in a day time. 👍👍👍 so clean and so peaceful from our photos, you can see how beautiful nature wa in Heneral plaza in.
There's a lot of food and things you can do, great place with friends or family
It is generally a wheelchair friendly park except for the area where the statue of General Santos is located, but then a person with mobility problems can still have a picture of the statue from a nearby area at a different angle. There are paths and ramps everywhere. The problem of the disabled persons would come from vehicle owners who park and block the ramps. The reserved parking space for the disabled is also used by just anyone. Its great the park has a memorial for the fishermen who died because of Bagyong Pablo.(Typhoon Pablo) Any tourist is recommended to visit the park as it offers a nice view of the City Hall, the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Church and the once center of economic activity of the city, the downtown or the Pioneer Street

Perfect for kids! They have Kidzoona, inflatable slide, pool bump boat and various snack booths. I highly recommend french fries paired with iced cold drink. Not to mention the decorations at the mall is always superb! Your kids will totally enjoy their mall experience.
As of writing, the Mall is still recovering from the damage it sustained from the past earthquake. You'll find all sorts of shops here, from local and international fashion to electronics, home items, and unique stores. Plus, there's always the SM Store (their big department store) and an SM Supermarket for your groceries.
Okay naman. Parang ginagawa yung ceiling kasi may net. Feels like other SM Malls, which is a love it or hate it affair, depending on individuals who visit the place.
SM City General Santos shines as a modern retail and community center blending thoughtful design with diverse shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Families and casual shoppers will appreciate its comfort and variety, though souvenir hunters or cinema.
Excellent place to meet friends and short meetings, they have a wide array of food options, coffee shops and stores. Bills payment in supermarket also very convenient for errands while in the mall. Air conditioning always efficient and mall security superb!
Almost 4 hours in the place. 3 hours getting food, party supplies for a birthday party and 1 hour or more in the check out (even with over 100 checkout registers). Great experience and I go back again.
Awesome! We're first-timers here! So, we travelled from Bohol to Cebu via Tubigon, and then took a flight from Cebu to General Santos. Nice trip!
So much fun here at SM Here at SM We got it all for you

Lawned city park on Sarangani Bay with beachside cabanas & a number of trees for shade.

The beach is well maintained, clean and it is where you can get to mingle with simple and happy folks.
Though still under construction, the park’s beachline offers a soothing escape. A relaxing spot for a breezy day and a quick getaway from the city’s hustle.
Nothing is really catching in the area..it's like a dating place. You can rent 40 pesos for the bench if you want rest there. The gate put signage Beach close.
A favourite place to go when in Gensan to have a relaxing meal with bbq chicken and pork, rice, calamansi at sili soy... sitting by the water in open air while drinking a San Mig Lite and having a cigarette. If it rains, which it does often, make sure you've got your rain jacket.
Always been a recipient of Earth Day celebration, last 2019 a scubasurero and coastal cleanup drive activity was conducted to help remove trash in the oceans and preserving its marine life.
The public beach park of General Santos City. Its like a version of Manila Bay but much cleaner tho. Swimming here is not allowed, but people still do.
Enjoying the cool sea breeze at night feels like heaven. The Queen Tuna Park (formerly Lion's beach) is one considered as attraction at the city. But sanitation and maintenance is so poor that degrades the attractiveness of the place. We pray for improvements in this place, as it could be the next Gensan's tourist destination. Cottages were already destroyed and the place is too dark.
The location is good but the place is not ideal for a vacation for a lot of garbages can be seen. The water is also very dirty.

KCC is the one-stop shop for everything you need! Their grocery items are cheaper than other malls and they always serve fresh goods and vegetables. They have department store, hardware, bookstore, arcade, cinema, various shops etc. Also there’s plenty of parking spots in the main building and more in Veranza carpark. There’s a bridge connecting KCC & Veranza so it’s very convenient to mall goers. Elevators and walkalators are in place for shoppers with grocery carts. The entire mall is PWD-friendly. There are trash bins with proper segregation labels. It’s great for anyone looking to buy stuff or even just for strolling. KCC has been the go-to place of our family since then. It’s something embedded in our memories as Generals.
KCC is a must stop for most locals Always backed with pepole of all ages. Two main things make me fo there ,one is grocery and second the Buffet restaurant in the underground floor. Reasonable prices and quality.
KCC Mall is known for being a very spacious shopping center, giving you plenty of room to walk around and buy items from various shops. KCC supermarket stands out, you'll find that many of the items here are offered at low, budget-friendly prices (pinakabarato), making it a popular spot for locals. This mall also serves as a terminal for tricycles/Vans going to different parts of Gensan or beyond.
If you’re looking for affordable and reliable grocery shopping stores, you must consider this KCC mall. I was shocked how this mall has everything that you need specifically in the grocery. There are fresh and frozen products. You can also see lot of products that usually don’t have in other mall.
Holly crowed today. The traffic wasn't bad but so many people in the mall. 🫣🤣
In my 24 years of existence, ever since I was a kid, KCC Mall of Gensan has always been the go to mall. It’s more than just a place to shop, it’s part of life here in Gensan. For many of us locals, it holds memories, routines, and even little milestones. Out of all the malls in the city, KCC really stands out for being the most budget-friendly, especially when it comes to groceries and department store finds. The prices are so student and family friendly, which is why it remains the top pick for practical shoppers. Their grocery section is always well-stocked and affordable perfect for everyday needs. And the department store? You’ll find everything from clothes, shoes, and bags to home essentials and appliances, all without breaking the bank. They also have regular sales and promos, so every visit feels sulit.
Great place when it comes to your store!!!!!
Fantastic mall. Bright, clean, and well air conditioned. It is a largish size mall with all the big brand names. Mall is also connected to another mall by an enclosed walkway. Parking is easy and is on the top of the mall. The parking is not covered though so your can can get very hot inside while the shopping inside. Design of the mall inside is very modern amd well organised. Great way the get out of the heat and relax.
