Really awesome place with different amazing activities. I tried the 5D video experience (not that exciting but okay) the Titan RT hanging bridge (great experience with an awesome view) The tower with a view (amazing viewpoint!) and then also the mega swing (which was the best experience in a long time!) I would have liked to try the zipline but there were no spots left so I will for sure advice you to book tickets in advance
Not for the faint of heart, but what an amazing adventure to experience. I felt safe and I enjoyed my flight down across the river very much. The wall back across the suspended bridge is a must!!!
I recently visited Harzdrenalin Megazipline and had an amazing time! The zip line itself was thrilling and provided a great adrenaline rush as I zoomed down. The speed at the beginning was perfect and the view of the surroundings was stunning. Although the line to get to the zip line was a bit long, the experience was totally worth it. The return trip felt like a mini hiking trip, with beautiful forests and a cool bridge to cross. The view from the bridge was simply breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for some amazing photo shoots. I'm so glad I went and would definitely recommend it, especially if you're looking for an exciting adventure with a friend or significant other. Overall, a fantastic experience!
We went down the bridge and that was a great experience. It was possible to try zip lines, bungee jumping and other daring stuff.
A lovely place with ab amazing wiev. I've got a chance to visit it with no other visitors, during a weekday, at the evening. It has a beautiful panorama and a breathtaking bridge. It was fun... you may also find paintings on the walls.
Its neccesary to order tickets throught webpage, otherwise you cant buy ticket directly in saturday. You can, but only leftovers :)))) As we wanted. Simply almost all were sold out. And place is cool. Go there.
We did the Gigaswing and Megazipline for our anniversary. I have to say that the staff at the Gigaswing were top tier. I wish we would have taken a photo with the two guys who helped get us geared up. They were so kind and focused on our safety and enjoyment. The swing was terrifying but we were safe as could be.
Good for adrenaline junkies, book all activities in advance.

Such a cool experience and we had a brilliant guide. There is a little parking lot about 100m further down the road. You can buy tickets without needing to book in advance. There will be a waiting time as you need a guide to show you through the caves, but we filled this gap by taking the kids for an ice cream across the road. Definitely bring a hoodie, even if it’s a hot day, because the temperature is much cooler down in the caves. They even do Theater pieces, which we didn’t personally see, but there was a rehearsal on as we walked through, and we wouldn’t mind going to watch something as a family! No photos allowed unfortunately. We also really recommend a stroll through the town of Werningerode, and a walk up to the castle.
Definitely recommend it! I myself read reviews doubting whether to visit or not and if you doubt I will describe in detail. The tour is group driven, you don't need to book it. You buy a ticket, where the start time is indicated. The guide is in German, but we were lucky and the boy duplicated the main points in English, which was a pleasant surprise. The cave itself is always cold, take care of your feet and outerwear. It's 8 degrees in both winter and summer. The excursion lasted 1 hour. Very interesting for both adults and children. You spend an hour wandering through an incredibly old cave with natural wonders in the form of stalactites and stalagmites. Everything is illuminated and the guide controls it with a remote control, drawing your attention to certain points. The moment with music and darkness was particularly moving. Photos and videos are not allowed for security reasons. They take a group photo and you can buy it afterwards for 7 euros. All in all it was amazingly interesting to even look at this wonder, and if you also know German, it will be interesting to learn the facts about it all. And we even saw some sleeping bats.
I found out about this cave by coincidence, and I'm glad I did. You need to take the guided tour as this is the only option, but it's understandable since you can get lost or injured in the caves. The tour was very informative, explaining the history about the cave's formation and history and how were the rock structures formed. There is an area inside with a really cool sound and light experience which I really enjoyed. The tour guide was very friendly, especially with the kids. My only comment would be that you are not allowed to take pictures inside, and their reason is you might harm yourself or bump your head in a rock because you will be distracted, I found this to be just an excuse, and there were a lot of sections with very high ceiling. Other than in that, fantastic experience
The tour took ~1h, costs ~30€ for two adults with two kids. 8 degrees celsius in the cave, so be prepared, especially in summer times. The tours are every ~30 minutes. Parking near by.
Counter to another review here we were not lucky. The woman in the ticket office knew zero English. The tour guide knew zero English. He also did not try to explain in simplified German for us. He just talked at length in complicated German. Impossible for us to follow. And - unless you’ve never experienced a lime stone cave before - this trip is not worth it when you don’t understand the guide. When we were in the cave, we saw these audio guide signs. Could we have gotten an English audio guide? Who knows. Nobody told us about it. We only found out once it was too late. Note: There is another cave very close (500 meters ish) to this one, but I heard a similar story (language-wise) about that one. Maybe the one in the western part of the nature reserve has English guides?
We went on a Friday in March. Number of tourists is down so we quickly managed to buy tickets - if you are staying for a few days you might have the 'Kurkarte' the tourist ticket and you ll get a discount. Filming and pictures are not allowed for various reasons one being the high risk for injuries. There is ample parking outside but no toilets at the cave however right across from the entrance for 50cents.The cave holds up to nine different types of bats - and there is a great bear skeleton as well. Tour takes 50mins. Bring sturdy shoes and a good jacket.
We are tourists from abroad, and this place turned out to be very unfriendly to international visitors. The ticket cashier did not speak English and refused to cooperate with us until we somehow managed to communicate in German. Before entering, the ticket checker warned us that it is extremely cold inside and that a jacket is required. As foreign visitors, we had seen no warning about this in advance and had nothing suitable to wear. We went back to the cashier to cancel our tickets and request a refund. Instead of handling this professionally, she spoke to us in an unpleasant and agitated tone in German, apparently because processing a refund required her to actually do some work rather than sit outside smoking. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. In a tourist location, one would expect at least some effort to communicate in English or to show understanding towards international visitors.
Very good experience, beautiful natural cave, well maintained.

Really beautiful cave system! It was really fun to walk around and learn about the whole cave on our own with a little English guide book. The paths were very fun and interesting and really gave a special feeling to it all. There were some crystalization of the rocks I've never seen before and they are truly stunning. Can only recommend a visit!
Cave is more less standard as any other (I saw too many caves). There is 2 extra things I liked. One part of cave called crystal room is beautiful and they have this skeleton of cave bear. Definitely worth to see if you are in the area. And for sure very nice place to cool yourself during summer. It is bummer that staff there tries (not successfully) to stop you from making photos (even when I on purpose disabled flash to protect living creatures from being stressed) - very strange rule.
The tour is purely in German, and I was thoroughly disappointed by it. They turn the lights off if you’re too slow, even though you need to wait for the group to leave before you’re even able to see the cavern properly. The guide seemed knowledgeable, although I’d have no way of knowing. When we told her we didn’t speak German, she ranted for a moment in German about it to us, and promptly moved on. You’re not allowed to take photos, which is weird, and there’s no gift shop on the other end where you can buy photos or have photos taken for you. The caves themselves are pretty interesting, but I would have enjoyed it a lot more with no guide and with more time. Also, the “glitter cave” is just a brief stretch of salt crystals. It’s not even big enough to enter, the only reason it shines is because they blast it with UV and blue light. Overall I was disappointed and couldn’t wait to get out after it started.
The caves are really nice. Many stalactites and stalagmites to see. The crystals and the patterns are really cool. We also saw the tail of the cave salamander! English audio guides are available. The only downside is that the guide was in a rush - we did not have enough time to admire the beautiful patterns in the caves.
Incredibly beautiful. But we were sad to discover we didn't get time to really see it all. Feels a lot like we were rushed through it all. We didn't get time to see the crystals. We could've spent at least twice as long time there, and it made the whole experience less good. Sadly. And the guide only speaks german; if you want an english guide, you have to download an app to your phone and listen that way around (while disturbing the other guests cause you have to play it while the guide speaks, because of the short time you have). But very beautiful place indeed, amazing how nature works that way!
Great activity, especially in summer, to have a first encounter with the Earth insides. More information in English along the path would be welcome to have a better understanding as a non-german speaker. The family ticket makes it more affordable. Getting there early in the day avoided us the long wait we observed when we got out.
Definitely worth seeing. You may want to bring a thin jacket, as the inside temperatur is a cool 8 degrees Celsius.
Great tour from an informed guide. A very great experience walking through the long cave systems. Remember to bring a jacket if you decide to come visit. Would definitely recommend.

(Translated by Google) The pool is relatively small, but perfectly adequate for a quick refreshment break, and the entrance fees are reasonable. Unfortunately, it loses two stars for the lack of friendliness. While there's at least some effort at the entrance, it's lacking once you've entered the facility. At the snack bar, everyone who orders something is yelled at without exception, and woe betide anyone who sits for an extended period on one of the few shady benches...
