We had a great time diving with George. He has a great personality and is a very knowledgeable and experienced diver. He made it very fun and easy for us to dive. We went on two dives one day dive and one night dive. Both times were great and we got to see squids, eels, crabs, and many more super cool animals. The gear we used was super high quality and was great to use. I highly recommend going to check out this dive shop to see what adventures George can take you on! We hope to make it back sometime in the future to explore more of the island underwater!

Best instructor ever <3 Update. We did an Padi open water with Yioryos. It was amazing. Felt very secure, the gear rent was well serviced. Fluent english and Greek possible. Reasonable prices. Go check it out^^

We had such a fantastic time scuba diving with George! He has a great personality, very patient, reassuring, professional and last but not least he is fun to just talk to. Definitely made me and my son feel at ease with our first time ever scuba diving experience. So much so that we did it twice while in Ikaria. I can't even recommend enough Amaso Center and especially George! Not only he is a super enthusiastic and full of energy guy but he is also a super calm and reassuring instructor. I have had my first ever scuba experience with him and all I know is that the day after I was already registered for the Open Water certificate. I also can't thank him enough for shifting around his schedule to make time for me and for ensuring that I was gonna leave the island with my certificate. Lot's of hours spent - so again thank you! - for overstaying at night at the center, for bearing with me as a student, for repeating stuff, for helping us clean out correctly all this equipment every single time, for playing in his guitar and calming us down whilst we were resting or studying between the dives, for ringing us up to check out how our dive record was going on (and long after we had graduated), for also taking us to see the WWII plane wreck, for cleaning the sea level in any given chance, for volunteering locally whenever there was and is a need at his own expense, for teaching us how to respect marine life and everything that comes with it. The Aegean Sea and especially Ikaria is full of beautiful marine life, colours, crystal clean waters (that you can see up to 12-18m depth and if weather allows), with lots of fish species and even a type of a mediterranean monk seal, monachus monachus that we have happent to see whilst we were swimming to one of the sites. If you ever visit Ikaria, don't forget to spend just 3-4hrs for the ''Explore Scuba'' or to go to the plane wreck if you have got at least the first Scuba certificate. We booked an introductory session on scuba diving. It has been a perfect experience. Our kids are 12 & 13. I am 40. We felt extremely well with George, his wife and Mariana, who also took pictures under water for us. The course was highly professional, extremely warm and nice. We could not have imagined a better way to discover the under water world. Thank you for everything and good luck in the future 🫶

Had an amazing time doing Discover Scuba with George! He is an incredible guide and knows the best places to go scuba diving in Ikaria. The training process is very thorough, making sure everyone is safe and most importantly having a great time!
