Great place to view and sit in the current line-up of Toyota and Lexus vehicles. While not exactly a museum (which I would recommend to visit the Toyota Automobile Museum or the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology instead), it still has an area of seasonal special exhibits. There were interesting vehicles displayed when I visited, such as the Crown, GR Yaris, GR Corolla, Land Cruisers and even the LM500h! There is gift shop on the second floor which sells a wide variety of goods, and you can even find some souvenirs from the other Toyota museums as well. Worth a pop by if you are around the area! Visited in November 2024.
The museum itself is nothing special. However, you can't complain, as admission is free and you get a glimpse into Toyota's production process. If you're a car enthusiast, or even Toyota enthusiast, a visit might be worthwhile.
I spent a night in Nagoya specifically to visit the Toyota Kaikan Museum and soak in the full Toyota brand experience. The future exhibit, virtual factory tour, and showroom—featuring models from Toyota, Gazoo Racing, Crown, Lexus, and even the Century—were all highlights. I had hoped to see every current production model, though some areas appeared to be under renovation. My only suggestion for improvement would be to expand the gift shop selection—it felt a bit sparse. Overall, it was a rewarding visit. Toyota for life.
If you're a petrolhead and you like Toyotas, this place is well worth a visit. Parking and admission costs nothing. And there's no need to make an appointment. There's one big hall that displays the comprehensive range of passenger vehicles currently produced by Toyota in Japan. And the best part is, visitors can explore the interior of almost all the vehicles. So you could sit in a humble Yaris, and sample the luxurious interior of the Lexus LM. If you want to try something that moves, you can register to ride Toyota's personal mobility solution known as the C+Walk. And if you want a glimpse into Toyota's vision for future transport, there are a few funky looking concept vehicles too. Wifey tagged along on this visit. She isn't a petrolhead, and she's definitely not a fan of any particular car brand. But I could tell she wasn't bored out of her mind here.
Hard pushed to call it a museum. There is some technology on display and there’s an educational piece about Toyota and their various manufacturing processes but it’s definitely skewed to children, under 12. There is a display of current cars that you can sit in and prod at which was probably my highlight. With the factory tour no longer offered I’d probably give this experience a miss, especially when it’s 90 mins away from central Nagoya
It's good to know about the history of the company and when it started, good explanations and demonstrations by the staff.
It’s not that I enjoy going to museums. But I didn’t get to go one when I was a kid and whenever I see these children with their parents in every museum, I feel happy for them and kinda feel sad for myself at the same. Maybe I would have enjoyed more going to museums like this if I went here a little younger. But cheers tho! Cheers to life ✨
Nice history on Toyota brand. Gives insights into their innovative products and also shares how they are impacting their community and sustainability.

Visited the Toyota Stadium for the WRC Rally Japan 2024 Special Super Stage event. The atmosphere for the weekend was fantastic! The event was well-organised and there were ushers guiding and controlling the crowds well. There were clear signages around the stadium for the event too. Most importantly, the stage set-up and light shows were simply splendid! I had a great time watching the SSS and the view from all sides of the stadium was great. This is one of the best mass crowd events I have been to too! Do note to bring along a good jacket as it can be very cold at night during November! Visited in November 2024.
Amazing Stadium 🏟️ 👏🏻well maintained.. easy access to gates 👍🏻 we had been to Rugby match 🏉.. washrooms are available inside and when there are matches there will be food stalls outside too 😊 walkable distance from T face mall
I went to my first soccer match here. The event was well organized, clean facilities and a wonderful reception and fan base. Lovely way to spend an afternoon. They also regularly have free tickets for foreigners. 🙂👍
Stadium is really nice and good atmosphere even if the game sucked and was 0-0
Why didn't they have any cool food? They didn't even have any drinks! And for some reason they closed all parking lots dude ayo chill bruh... They have to make the rally more epic. Ay Subaru c'mon to the rally bruh u got phone call! Well good thing I saw the Celica
Nice small stadium and could easily manage to find your seats with many staff that will direct you if needed.
The stadium is spacious with plenty of seating. Because of the steep slope, it’s easy to see the field from the stands, but it feels a little scary. I wonder if there are still scalpers on the way from the station to the stadium?

Chic museum showcasing contemporary artwork, with a tea house, eatery & landscaped grounds.
Slide 1 of 8
The Museum of Art, designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, is a masterpiece of minimalist architecture. Opened in 1995, it features clean geometric lines, concrete, glass, and metal, creating a sleek, modern look. A key highlight is its use of light and space. A long entrance ramp builds anticipation, while glass walls and water features seamlessly connect the building with nature. The galleries follow a white cube concept, offering a neutral space for exhibits. Located on a hill, the museum blends with its surroundings, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to time and transportation constraints, I didn’t get to see the night view.
If you appreciate art, architecture, and culture, the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art is a must-visit destination in Aichi Prefecture. This museum is not just a place to view art—it’s an experience that blends stunning modern design with a carefully curated collection of Japanese and international masterpieces. One of the highlights of the museum is its architectural brilliance. Designed by Yoshio Taniguchi (who also designed the expansion of MoMA in New York), the museum’s minimalist aesthetic and seamless integration with nature create a calming and immersive environment. The use of natural light enhances the beauty of the exhibits, making each artwork stand out in a unique way.
I visited the museum on March 5th, 2025. Beautiful architecture by Yoshio Taniguchi. Highly recommend for architecture fan of Taniguchi. :)
Signage to the museum is very confusing if you are on foot. It shouldn’t be that hard. The way I finally found didn’t have a footpath most of the way, so it mightn’t even have been the route. The permanent collection is scant, but boy is it quality. Had a few wow moments. The temporary exhibition on at present is “Escher, Behind the Paradox”. It was a joy to see such a range of his work from the different stages of his career. However, the interps is largely in Japanese, so be prepared to use Google Translate a fair whack to get the most out of it. Service is exemplary at the museum restaurant, but the food is uninspiring, sadly. Go for a drink to experience a crack team of wait staff.
An incredible exhibition by Tamayama Takuro in Toyota Municipal Museum of Art
This museum always has interesting exhibitions. I went to see a contemporary art exhibition and the Ghibli exhibition before with my family. The building itself is as beautiful as a work of art, so it's fun just to walk around. It is a bit far from Nagoya, but I would like to visit this museum regularly.
Architectures were nice as art works were spectacular. I heard that this museum bought a art pice of On Kawara. Parking spaces were big and free. I understand why everyone recommend this museum.
I love the outdoor sculpture terrace and there's a lot inside but of variable interest for me. We ate the "plat du jour" in the restaurant (¥1500 + tax) which was very good. There was an hors-d'œuvre and then I had fish "sawara" (鰆) or "Japanese Spanish mackerel" while my wife ordered pork. We shared and enjoyed both!

Went to the upper side, which is just beside the large park with a large shed, where people were relaxing, having picnics, and others were playing with their kids. Though not quite in full bloom, there are still some cherry blossoms. Had fun taking photos and videos.
This is such a nice park in Toyota city! Forest Adventure ropes course and zip line (only ¥2800), lake, indoor playground for kids under 12, Starbucks, free Toyota museum, petting zoo. Plenty of parking (some free, some paid). Definitely worth spending a few hours here with the family!
A big park with no entrance and parking fees. It's a nice park for everyone. There's a hall for small kids, a mini zoo, a botanical garden, rainbow bridge, a swan paddle and a lot more. This is also a nice place get fit and relax.
Wonderful place for families. There's a cooled indoor play gym, great for kids. There's a large outdoor covered area to setup a small tent and relax. A Starbucks a close by with a wonderful view. There's Forest Adventure Toyota to go zip lining. It was a nice surprise to encounter food trucks and locally created crafts for sale. My family and I spent a whole day here and had a terrific time
One of the best places for family picnic, wide grounds, walking tracks, a small zoo with beautiful birds and animals, horse ranch, botenical garden with lots of plants and boating area with breathtaking view of fish and ducks. Highly recommended.
Chill place with a Toyota museum, botanical garden, kids playground and small zoo. Cherry blossom was beautiful.
This park is legit. You can play inside and outside under a huge canopy all for free, so a good option even on rainy days.
Children are looking forward to playing trampoline. In winter they don’t have enough time to play outside.its a great opportunity.

Fantastic living museum. Artisans on site crafting everything from footwear to wooden baskets. Only some of the signs had English translations, but we used Google translate and that worked well. Staff have limited English but are very friendly and helpful. Signs state to ask permission before taking photos. Souvenirs crafted on site for sale. We all had a great time.
Great place to visit while in the area viewing the fall leaves. Before the pandemic the little village square area transforms into a little fair grounds with beer and sake stands, yatai and sweets for sale as well as the living museum buildings and exhibits. The cool night air along with the celebration like atmosphere is really nice.
Hidden gem sightseeing spot in Aichi. There were not too many people like Kyoto so we had very quiet and tranquil time. I highly recommend this place if you are interested in architecture, crafts and culture. I bought beautiful handmade washi( Japanesw paper) Whatever you buy hand craft products from this place you will be satisfied by their qualities.

Unfortunately, it rained before I visited the place. Lots of cherry blossom were fallen due to the rain. Most 🍁 trees were still green though. After all, it is still an amazing place to visit.
Came all the from Kyoto to see cherry blossom in November but dissapointong none in the park and the sighn boards not clear walked all the way to the clock and climbed up to the second spot which has to be accessed through the main road crossing family mart and were we saw very few flowers not worth and to our suprise they are running a cherry blossom festival two days after our visit and no way the flowers are gonna bloom in two days
Sakura blossom is not yet full blooming but still also nice. There are also Maple trees and ginkgo trees. Their leaves are turning to red and yellow. Sign of autumn and becoming winter. Edited: Toilets are available but limited.
Beautiful Park, went there on November 2022. Nice weather, beautiful color on the leaf, something we couldn’t see in tropical country. Soothing and relaxing afternoon..
There are a lot of street food stalls, such as takoyaki, sobayaki, waffle, kebab, mochi, and many more! When I visited there are a car exhibition held infront of Obara Tourist Information Building. This is a perfect place to rest and having a snack after taking a long walk at senmishikizakura. The view here was beautiful too, you can see a red leaf, ginko tree leaf, and sakura also blooming in November.
Beautiful view in Autumn, the best attraction point is "Senmi shikizakura no Sato" at Kaminigi bus station (and walk around 500m). Own driving or buying one day tour may be easier if you want to visit Obara and Korankei in the same day. Taking the public bus has to wait for quite long.
Visited in November and timed with peak autumn foliage. Shikizakura trees were in bloom providing a nice light color contrast during fall. I find Senmi Shikizakura no Sato better though during the time of visit. Saw an ongoing festival in the park and happy to try a very simple hot udon dish and egg on stick. If planning to go to Korankei, there's a free shuttle bus service here.
Sakura in autumn! Nice cozy park, easy to explore, Visited on 16 Nov

(Translated by Google) You can clearly understand the history of Toyota Motor Corporation from the early days of the Toyoda family. The history of Toyota Motor Corporation, from its early hardships to its period of development, is explained in an easy-to-understand manner using dioramas, models, and videos. Kiichiro, who inherited the ingenuity and challenging spirit of inventor Sakichi, is passionate about helping Japanese people launch the Japanese automobile industry. Toyota Motor Corporation, one of the world's leading car manufacturers, I am reminded that over 90 years ago it was a venture company. I also take my hat off to the Toyota Group's cohesiveness and the wisdom, ingenuity, and courage of our predecessors. You can take a leisurely tour. I would like you to do so. It's been a long time since a Toyota 2000GT was displayed leaning against a wall, and now a Lexus LFA that participated in the Nürbring 24h endurance race is on display. The former Kiichiro Toyoda residence is also a must-see. This is the residence where the current chairman, Akio, also spent time. Nice serene location at the top of a gradual hill close to Korankei Gorge. Just a short climb with two entrances, would recommend the side entrance with the tori gates for a more scenic route. Shrine masters were kind and friendly and could even communicate in English! Overall a great place to rest and meditate.
Beautiful, serene, quiet place inside Korankei. You need to climb a little to get to the temple. I visited the end of the day, and the priests were conducting prayers. The ceremony was quite harmonious.
A very beautiful temple located on the hillside of the Korankei gorge. The entrance gate is flanked by elegant maples which are beautiful in every season… especially autumn.

I am happy that there is such a historic site nearby.
(Translated by Google) It is the birthplace of the Matsudaira family. It is a must-see for fans of the Sengoku period, as it is a valuable facility where you can see materials that clearly explain the roots of Tokugawa Ieyasu. (Original) 松平家発祥の地です。徳川家康のルーツが良く分かる資料が見られる貴重な施設なので戦国時代ファン必見です。
(Translated by Google) I visited on the 15th, the last day of Obon. It was so busy that the first parking lot was full. There is space for more than 10 cars, and there is also a second parking lot, so I don't think there's anything to worry about. It's a small museum, but it had exhibits such as a timeline, swords, and Buddhist statues. As it was hot, I was able to cool off in the air-conditioned room while viewing the exhibits. (Translated by Google) I went to Matsudaira-go to search for my roots! I was born in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, and recently learned of its existence, so this was my first visit. It seems to be a power spot known only to those in the know, and there were spots everywhere that seemed to offer various benefits😃 What was particularly impressive was the book "Kagetsu Ichisou," which is said to have been written by Ieyasu as a ten-year-old during his time as Takechiyo, while listening to the priest's grateful stories. I had the opportunity to copy sutras at the right time, and it was placed near the place where I was writing, which I was curious about, and by chance the priest gave me a detailed explanation later😃 Ieyasu will be in the spotlight in the 2023 Taiga drama, but it is also very educational to learn about Matsudaira's history☺️ It has become a special place that I would like to visit again. The ceiling paintings of Toshogu Shrine are especially impressive. Aoi no Gomon is everywhere. It had a bitter taste and was very good. You can also get two types of goshuin. Toshogu Shrine and Takatsukiin Temple. You can also enjoy a Japanese-style parfait at a teahouse along the way. We also have mitarashi and red bean paste, udon, and soba noodles. I didn't eat it, so I don't know about the taste. Either way, it was a nice place to take a leisurely stroll. It has lots of shops that serve local food and bakery products. It also has four parking lots. It's very popular.
Look, this place is famous for a reason. They've got good local food and a spa – what's not to like? My only beef is how slammed it gets on weekends. Seriously, it's a zoo. So I pretty much only roll through during off-peak hours to avoid the madness. But if you can hit it when it's not packed, it's highly recommended."
A fun spot to stop for an onsen/public bath, local products or for taking a short break if you are planning on a long drive to the mountains! It's often packed so can be a bit tough to find a parking lot though!
Michi-no-Eki Donguri-no-Sato Inabu (道の駅 どんぐりの里いなぶ) is one of those countryside rest stops that makes you not want to keep driving 🚗🌲 It’s charming, cozy, and packed with local flavor — the kind of place where you come for a bathroom break and end up buying snacks, souvenirs, and probably a bag of random vegetables you didn’t plan on 🥕🍠😂 The scenery around it is pure Japan countryside magic — fresh air, rolling hills, and seasonal colors that make every visit feel new 🌿🍁 Inside, there’s a farmer’s market area selling fresh produce and handmade local treats 🍎🥬🍡 The soft-serve ice cream here is legendary — creamy, rich, and made with local milk that tastes like it came straight from a happy cow 🐮🍦 There’s also a hot spring right next door (Donguri-no-Yu ♨️), so you can shop, snack, and soak all in one stop — talk about efficiency 😌🛍️♨️ Parking is easy, staff are friendly, and the whole vibe is slow, friendly, and authentically local 👋💚 It’s not flashy, but that’s exactly the point — simple joy, small-town charm, and lots of donguri (acorn) spirit 🌰✨ If you’re road-tripping through Aichi or heading toward the mountains, this is one stop you’ll actually be glad you didn’t skip 🏞️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Taking the country side roads while traveling from Lida to Centrair and in order to avoid the E19, you'll pass by this popular roadside station. Seriously there isn't much food choices which is a great disappointment. And you need to keep watching the swallows which are nesting above you. You know why.
Worth to drop by. Can buy very fresh corns, blueberries, and other veggies/fruits. Appears to me it might've been just recently renovated. Very clean facility.
A hot spring facility in a wonderful location. You can go by bus from the station. Managed by Toyota City. Currently under renovation.
It's a good place to take a break.

Very nice large park. It’s lovely especially in the fall with its vivid colors and long leisurely walking paths. There were also garden supplies and several booths for the children to make toys from natural materials. A beautifully landscaped very large park: good for kids and adults.
