Towering 88 meters over lush hills, this majestic bronze Buddha radiates serene power. The climb up feels spiritual, with chanting echoing around the Nine Dragons Fountain.
A very tall Buddha statue standing at 88 meters in WuXi, you can actually see it from far away! This place is totally huge, I’d recommend using the cart service if you’re together with elderly. You will be amazed how big it is when you’re closer. You can enter the statue to touch the statue feet as well, though the waiting may vary depending on traffic. They also got other areas such as the singing fountain that opens up on specific hours with all the beautiful water fountain and music accompanying a show. Another one is a huge Russian castle that has such amazing art inside the area. I believe some of the rooms inside may be available for a big event as well. Overall, a great and entertaining trip for 4 to 6 hours or more if you decide to eat in the castle.
Various shows, flowers, foods, buddha and more can be seen in this place. Purchase the ticket upfront and onlie to get it cheaper, there are also some shuttle buses which you need again ticket for them to use. There are several Buddhist temples in Wuxi. Nanchan Temple is one of them. It's from 8:30 to 5:30. Without this time you can't enter inside. It's become more Beautiful at night. Lovely place.
Very nice place to walk around and there are plenty of food stalls and you will be spoilt for choices!
A bizarre experience. First, you were greeted with an army of “Dama”(大媽 / aunties)on a stage competing for a sponsored dance competition near the temple entrance. The music was, uh, deafening. Then you would bump into monks paying attention to their mobile phones and locals smoking inside the temple area. There was also a shopping corridor located next to the Temple, littered with run-down shops and stalls selling antiques, as well as vintage comic books and Mao badges from the 60s and 70s of the last centuries. If you were into architecture of centuries-old buildings with an authentic Zen vibe, I am not sure this is the place you are looking for. Free admission though.
Wonderful place with lots of beautiful structures. Plenty of shops all around the vicinity. There is also a boat ride for all to enjoy.
Nice shopping experience nearby.
(Translated by Google) Really cool place – a temple by day, bustling with life at night. Lights everywhere, music, people dancing in the middle of the street. I had the chance to visit Three Kingdoms City during a guided tour, so my time to explore was quite limited. However, thanks to the well-organized itinerary, I managed to catch the live show at 3:30 PM—truly the highlight of the trip. The performance was spectacular, with talented actors bringing to life the legendary battles and stories of heroes like Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Quan. The costumes, stage effects, and choreography were so impressive that I felt transported back to the Three Kingdoms era. It was a memorable experience, even though I didn’t have much time to wander around. The weather in November during my visit was cold and windy, which added a certain charm to the scenery but made me wish I’d brought an extra layer. The poetic landscape of ancient pavilions, rivers, and gardens felt serene and beautiful, even in a quick glimpse. While I didn’t get to explore every corner, the guided tour helped me see the best parts of this historical site. For anyone planning to visit, I’d recommend taking your time to enjoy both the architecture and the live performance—it’s an experience worth savoring, even in chilly weather. Three Kingdoms City is a destination I’d love to return to for a deeper exploration!
Three Kingdoms City was an adventure, especially with the crazy winds that nearly swept me off my feet! The gusts were so strong they made walking a challenge, but it added to the wild, dramatic atmosphere. PThe view from the top was worth the struggle, though! Panoramic vistas of the city and lake, with the wind whipping through my hair, made it feel like standing on a historic watchtower. Overall, a thrilling, windswept experience.
Best experience for the three kingdoms show (location in 1999 chinese film)
The Three Kingdoms City had a really huge area and many attraction spot to walk around. They have their tourist bus service that you can buy from the counter and they will fetch you to wherever you want for the whole day. It was not a historical place but a drama set there was used for filming many Chinese drama and movie.
Many Chinese movies are filmed here. Great! Thai Ho Lake, China.
Should visit place for 3 kingdoms fans.
If you're a fan of Romance of the Three Kingdoms(San Guo) this place will give you joy. They also have a live action show which re-enact the famous battle between three brothers vs Lu Bu. If you are a fan of Water Margin/Sui Hu Zhuan, which is an inspiration for Suikoden jRPG, you can also see their movie prop and show here. Prepare to spend at least one day here.
Despite there being close to 1.4 billion people inside, we were able to have a very good look around while they all enjoyed the horse show. It is definitely worth a look, though perhaps not during lunar new year.

Its a great place. Many food places and sourvenirs. But the food is not muslim friendly/halal. Muslims.. you can bring your own food/snacks if you want to visit the place to avoid hunger.
One of the most amazing place to visit if you want to experience the feels of ancient China. The place has been preserved for over 800 years and it is well regularly maintained so the place still looks amazing to this day. It is good to visit during the day but it is when night comes that the place comes alive and instantly transport you to ancient China. There are lots of store to keep you occupied so better save some space in your luggage for souvenirs.
A huge garden with a lake and many tourist heritage attractions. Many food restaurants and souvenirs too. I come in rainy season, so cannot enjoy the garden maximally. But if come at spring or summer, the place should be very greenery and peacefully for our mind. A lot of place we can sit and relax and watch the scenery. Not too much direction boards so sometimes quite difficult to find the way.
Beautiful gardens and Chinese architecture. A visit to this site will give you a real feel of the ancient traditions of China. The gardens are green in winter. But the full colours of the flowers will be experienced in spring and summer. In winter one should be prepared for temperature's of less than zero even on a sunny day
A good place for a day trip via train and metro from Shanghai. But be prepared for crowds.
I was absolutely blown away by this place. Amazing ancient architecture, plenty tea gardens, flower gardens and places you can sit and enjoy a meal. You can walk around, rent a boat or get a cable car. I love the quaint library for its souvenir ideas. It's full of stunning history. I picked up a pair of handmade shoes among other things. Theres's a little courtyard with stone water tubs where tourists and locals toss in a coin in exchange for happiness. At least this is what I was told! Of course I chucked in a few coins.
The long walk and climate was awesome. Nice shops for souvenirs. Must visit in Wuxi
One of the Best old towns ive been to as its more Rural comapred to the Old towns in Cities such as suzhou or nanjing where its rather overun with modern stores etc. the Old Architecture is still very strong and the maintaining they have done to enhance it is amzing. Great place for photgraphers and nature garden lovers. Theres a Cable Cart towards the far end of the Park, with tour Carts available Also to take you up the hills and slopes around. Must Visit in the Jiangsu Province as a whole!

Small hill beside Taihu Lake. A great resort to escape from the deadly moisty heat of Wuxi in summer time.
Very dishonest people. Very discriminatory against foreigners. Apparently they don’t accept passports as a valid way for age determination. The park is very nice, but the management is something else
Very huge garden with low entrance fee
Very nice park, not so many people. Very nice to walk around, take photos of flower gardens, old buildings and the lake. In the afternoon you can see and take photos of many small birds living in the park. The lake offers small boats to spend your time around or you could use the cable car to go up the mountain and enjoy the view. Next to the park there is a traditional village - maintained as a tourist attraction with canals, old buildings, etc but usually it's very crowded during the weekends.
This is a must on your list of areas to visit. Really beautiful architecture, gardens, water rich areas. Many interesting views. History comes alive.

The garden centers around an artificial hill and pond, surrounded by structures such as the Yupan Pavilion, the Zhiyu Threshold, the Seven Star Bridge, the Hanbi Pavilion, and the Qingyu Corridor. Water from the "Second Spring" (Huishan Spring) is also drawn into a ditch, which, due to its murmuring sound, is called "Eight-Tone Stream." The garden also includes the "Bingli Hall," a garden within a garden, and the "Hanzhen Studio," the former study of the garden's owner. Jichang Garden was a favorite of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, who visited it during their numerous southern tours. Today, one can still see two imperial stone plaques inscribed with Kangxi's "Mountain Colors and Stream Light" and Qianlong's "Jade-like Maple Leaves and Golden Maple Leaves." Even the Xiequ Garden in the Summer Palace in Beijing and the Kuoran Dagong Garden in the Old Summer Palace (destroyed by war) were modeled after Jichang Garden. Furthermore, the garden's towering trees make it a perfect place for summer relaxation, while in autumn, one can witness the vibrant colors of red maples and ginkgo trees. I encountered healthy and friendly cats there three or four times, which shows the park's friendliness towards wildlife! The garden is currently very well maintained and highly recommended for a visit. (Original) 園林位於惠山古鎮園區內,寄暢園裡非常古樸優雅,裡頭遇到3、4次貓咪都很健康、親人,代表園區對野生動物很友善!園林現況整管理保存的很好,非常推薦前往

Lihu Lake is a small part of Lake Taihru, the third largest freshwater lake in China. A very nice park even at the end of winter. This place is very popular with the locals, people come here to fly kites, do tai-chi, enjoy a stroll or simply seat down and relax
I was here with a tour group in August, 2015. I suspected that the objective of going to a free park was just to kill time. Instead of staying put inside an air-conditioned coach, I preferred to explore it as hardly would I come here again!
The Giant Ferris Wheel is worth of a shot. The view is majestic from the top, specially in the night. The rest are just fine.
