Secluded, sand & rock beach with a bar, on a volcanic island popular with boat trippers.

For 10 euros the boat ride, lounge chairs with umbrellas was a value. He shows you some of the island before the stop at the beach. Spend as long as you want there. We were happy with the beach food sold there. It was a nice sandy beach with clear water to swim in. We were happy we did it.
Interesting place. The beach is very crowded. But the water was very clean. During the transfer other parts of the islands were also shown and the history explained.
Just amazing! Clean water. A beach bar to serve you. Beach umbrellas and deck chairs are free to use. You need to buy a ticket to get there by boat. €10 each (return). The trip includes a little tour where the boat captain explains the history of the area. Really beautiful and definitely a must do.
Monolia beach and Lichadonisia in general are a "hidden" gem in the middle of Maliakos gulf. One can't imagine that at such a close distance from land (about 20 minutes to half an hour by tourist boat) there is a place with crystal clear waters resembling the beaches of tropical islands! The beach bar is well organised and the sea beds and umbrellas are for free. Prices are normal to high but it couldn't be otherwise, the whole experience justify them. I definitely recommend a day trip to these islands. You can find information on boat itineraries and prices on line. Kids under 8 travel for free.
The beach is amazing! You get there with a boat only. Unfortunately, too many crowds are coming without any filter of the amount, so be ready all the sunbeds and umbrellas to be occupied. Bring yours just in case. The mojito at the bar wqs awful! The worst I ever had! The water is amazing, you can see even seals in the sea.
Visited on sept 12, 2025. About 45 min from Edipsos. 10 euro for the boat trip, return. Beach pretty filled up on arrival but there were lots of extra beds to use. Free beds and umbrellas. Nice small beach with sandy bottom. Be aware of jellyfish!
Beautiful beach there is sun seats and umbrellas sand is without any rocks it is soft and nice. Water is still there isn't deep entering in it it is suitable for children . There is bar with music . Food isn't best but is ok
Amazing experience. Clear water. Nice beach. Quiet atmosphere. Expensive kiosk...
