(Translated by Google) Beautiful oasis of calm, very hidden. A stone’s throw for DenkMal Auszeit holiday guests! (Original) Wunderschöne Ruheoase, sehr versteckt. Für Feriengäste von DenkMal Auszeit ein Katzensprung!
The only reason this gets 4 stars is for the lovely residents around town. Super helpful people! The castle is 2 mins away from the road approachable by foot.. nothing exciting about the journey.. neither Are the ruins of the place.. I guess the most exciting thing about the place are the stray cats roaming about for food specially during the winters. A dedicated trip from heidelberg is definitely not worth this place.. but if your passing surrounding villages and town a quick stop is definitely worth your time!
(Translated by Google) Great little romantic castle. That's certainly not what you expect here. Coming from Sinsheim on the main road, there is only a very small sign on the right. Parking spaces as good as no. I parked at the church. I was really surprised at how beautiful the little castle in the middle of town is. Even with a pond. There is also a bench that invites you to linger. Please do not leave any trash behind. (Original) Super kleines romantisches Schloss.
(Translated by Google) A very romantic place. Small but nice. In the middle of town. A small sign on the main road shows the way. Unfortunately you couldn't go into the ruins because it was locked. (Original) Ein sehr romantischer Ort.

In 1446 the daughter, who was married to Matthias von Rammung, inherited the complex and in 1497 Albrecht V. Göler von Ravensburg came into its possession. In 1607, Emperor Rudolf II confirmed the von Göler family with the “Feste”. The castle was damaged in the Thirty Years' War. A description from 1627 states that the main building burned down. In 1730, Karl Eberhard von Göler began rebuilding the castle, mentioned as a “completely new castle”, which remained unfinished due to the death of the builder in 1732. In 1844 the emergency roof collapsed. The complex fell into disrepair and served as a quarry; only the vaulted cellar was still used as storage. In 1926 the first renovation measures were carried out with a concrete slab over the cellar. In 1957, the owner successfully resisted a demolition order issued by the Sinsheim district office due to the risk of collapse and paid a fine. In 1983 the facility came into the possession of the city of Waibstadt from the Göler family from Ravensburg. In 1988 an access road from the main road was created. In 1991, a group of volunteers formed who began security measures at the ruins. In 1995, the ruins were open to the public again for the first time on the occasion of Open Monument Day.

(Translated by Google) Very nice little castle ruins. However, a longer journey is not worth it as the castle ruins are very small and you cannot enter them. One point is deducted because the meadow in front of the castle ruins was very muddy and unfortunately there is no walking path.
