Popular public beach known for its soft, white sand & picturesque sunsets.

There's a long stretch of fine white sand. Has cool and relaxing ambiance, Crystal clear waters and stunning sunset. A lot of resorts to choose from. The area is not so crowded. Best to walk by the beach is in the morning and sunset.
First and foremost, there is the sand. Consider a magnificent combination of gold and white that is so delicate it squishes between your toes like velvet. And spotless! There are no plastic eyesores or cigarette butts, just pure beauty. There are extra points for the lack of crowds. we discovered our own small paradise without feeling like sardines in a can. Speaking of convenience, there's a row of stores directly behind the beach where you can acquire snacks, drinks, and even get a cool henna tattoo. I can't comment on the restrooms though, as nature called elsewhere that day. In a nutshell, Patar Beach is a hidden treasure for beachgoers. Date Visited: October 2023
Lovely place, but unfortunately and as usual in the Philippines - bad infrastructure, dirty rda… best is that natural beauty still prevails.
Located at the northwest tip of Pangasinan, it’s a wide and long stretch of fine (okay, boracay is finer:D) sand beachfront, in the light ochre tinge; clear midday sun makes it look off white from a distance ; resorts accommodation are plenty from budget to up-end, for day or overnight stay; beach is public so expect a crowd on weekends and extended national holidays; water is rough though during northeast monsoon months; situated in the west youre treated with a good sunset sans the afternoon clouds; as of our visit its pretty much a day time beach destination, elyu or galera vibes are not evident; its dark if its darkXD; for the roadtrippers road conditions are good, worry only about gas.
Fortunate enought to have witnessed a beautiful sunset in this amazing golden sand beach. I just hope visitors would maintain the cleanliness of the beach for I have seen lots of small trash. We didn’t stay in one of the accommodations available here, we stayed a little away to avoid the crowd. Nonetheless, it was a great sunset experience.
The beach is so raw and color of sand is really interesting! Beach water is clean. They have public huts where you can chill. My friends and I stayed there the entire afternoon til sunset! 💖
First time in Patar and was amazed to see this in person. A 6 hours drive away coming from the South but it is totally worth it. Lots of fish to see so bring your snorkel.
Its my first time in Patar white beach where we held our team planning for Pru Life UK. the water is so clear i like walking and running to the sand its a kind of relaxatiom for me.i like the shell Parol that the kids are selling i even used it as i dance as a praps.over all it was a fantastic experience and i would surely comeback.

One of the best places in Patar, Bolinao, Pangasinan. You have to visit this relaxing place. Do not forget to bring your waterproof flashlights & goggles.
Not for me. I love adventure but the place is not worth the money you pay. it is too crowded. You have to wait a couple of hours for your turn to go inside the cave and when it is your turn, You are only allowed to go inside the cave for 30 minutes.
Very expensive entrance fee of 250 per person. Not worth going but you can still try. I only rated it as 3 star because of the over price but still good to experience.
The entrance fee at Enchanted Cave is ₱300 if you plan to swim in the cave and the pools, and ₱250 if you’re only taking photos inside the cave. It’s a bit pricey, and there’s an additional fee if you want to climb up to the cross to see the view. The allotted time inside the cave is only 30 minutes per person. I hope they improve the pathway leading to the cave for a better and safer experience.
We went here on a weekday so there were only few people. Going inside the cave-- the stairs was steep, but normal for caves, not so hard to go in and out to. The cave was wonderful. Nice and refreshing swim. As mentioned, we went here on a weekday so there were only few people :) Fees: ₱300 entrance with swimming ₱30 parking fee
Stumbled upon this from a video on Tiktok and this was on our top list! What fascinated me was that there were dried corals all the way beside the staircases, which means the place was once submerged in seawater. I thought the place was just the cave itself, but it's actually a resort. We had to pay 250 for unli swim on all their pools (kiddie pools weren't available btw). It was super crowded, they could've just made us pay for ONLY the enchanted cave. Only allowed to swim on the cave for 30mins, but we didn't even last 10mins. The water seemed stagnant, and the area smelled like pee. 🥲 Also concerned about the monkey on the entrance, hope they set it free! Not worth the money if you only want to visit the cave itself.
Enchanted Cave is a pleasant half‑day escape if you’re in Bolinao—great for cooling off, snapping photos, and taking in natural scenery. Fees are reasonable, but bring extra for swimming, parking, and the some extra fees. Ideal if you value clear cave pools and light adventure, just be mindful of the occasional crowd.
Don't let the unpaved, rocky road to this place turn you off. The resort maybe tucked away but the rewards are great. Unbelievable experience to swim inside a cave. We went very early in the morning. We were there even before the place opened up. 7:45am. I wanted to beat the crowd. And the decision paid off. No crowds on our photos. No one but us inside the cave and the swimming pools. We had it all to ourselves. until around 10am and then the crowds started coming in. But the experience of being having this resort to ourselves for a moment, was amazing. I can't imagine swimming in the cave with other people, the place could get cramp and the employees said, there is a line during the weekends.

The place was great but offers a limited activities. A 30 pesos entrance fee and 50 pesos for lifevest and parking fee of 20 pesos (not sure if it varies according to type of vehicle used) Thus a lifevest is require since the middle part of the falls is 40 feet deep. The place offers a bamboo kayak and an access below the falls, good for group photos. Secure the environmental fee from local tourist. It cost 40 pesos and can be used in different local tourist spot for 4 days. Just present the ticket/receipt of the paid environmental fee from local tourist officials.
A place worth visiting with a lil problem about how they implement their rules. Beautiful waterfalls and they ACTUALLY OFFER FREE USE OF THEIR TOILET which is rare nowadays for these type of places. The water was clean and the place is well maintained. I have no idea how much the crowded the place can get in a busy day since we went there in a working day. My only problem about this place is you are not allowed to swim 5 inches away from land if you don’t have a life vest which I totally get since safety. However, couldn’t have yall put up a sign that says this before we pay for the entrance fee and descent a 50 step staircase? It just feels like a cheap tactic to trick tourists to pay for a life vest smh. I also hate the fact that fully capable adults that can swim aren’t allowed to swim without a vest. That’s another cheap bs tactic to force tourist to pay up lmfao. Regardless, the falls still look great.
Bolinao Falls looked very serene and pretty. My partner and I were lucky enough to enter this waterfall in early hours when there was no one yet, so we were all alone here (see my attached photos and video)! Bolinao Falls' waterfall and overall atmosphere felt very peaceful. However, I will give 4-stars as "Bolinao Falls 3" was better for me, in my opinion.
The place itself is beautiful and the falls are nice to look at, but the experience wasn’t very enjoyable. The surroundings smelled really bad—like dog poop—which made it hard to enjoy swimming. You're also not allowed to swim without a life vest, and you have to pay P50 to rent one. Even just changing clothes costs P5. Overall, it was okay to visit once, but I won’t be coming back.
The water’s super clean, cold, and really calming — perfect for cooling off! Entrance is just ₱25, and kids 6 and below get in for free. You can rent a life vest for ₱50, and yep, they won’t let you do any high jumps without it (safety first!). There are also some food stalls right before the entrance, so you can grab some street snacks before heading in.
Beautiful spot with refreshing waterfalls and great activities. Just be prepared to pay multiple fees—parking, entrance, environmental, and charges for using restrooms or showers after swimming. Also, extra fees apply for floating and other activities. Keep some cash handy to avoid surprises. Overall, worth a visit if you’re ready for the extra costs.
The road going here is a bit rough, so be ready for a bumpy ride. Once you get there, you’ll need to go down a steep path with some stairs, but it’s not too bad if you take your time. There’s an entrance fee (about ₱80 total with the environmental fee), and if you want to swim, they make you rent a life vest for safety — around ₱50. You can jump from some of the rocks or just float around and enjoy the water. It’s not crowded if you go early, and it’s a great spot for pictures. Overall, this is worth visiting. It’s a good mix of adventure and chill time.

Bolinao Falls 2 I think is more beautiful than falls no. 1. There is more to do swim play paddle jump in all these small lakes and bays. Free parking but we chose the wrong road long and bad but free parking.
Parking 50 Rent for life vest 50 Entrance 30 Total of 80 + 50 parking for car with 1-2 mins of walk from parking area to the falls. Just bring your meals since they have some but limited to snacks and morning to lunch meals only.
The place was great. Though the place requires an entrance fee and payment for the life vest for those who will choose to jump on the lower side of lagoon. The entrance cost 30 Pesos and 50 pesos for the life vest. For those who will just be on the lagoon doesn't require to pay the 50 pesos. The closing time is until 5:00 PM. To ensure safety of visitors.
Takes a while to go to this place. They will assign a guide to lead the way and you just give a tip. Took around 10-15mins. The ride can be bumpy at times, you can choose between Falls 1, 2 and 3, with 3 being the farthest. We first went to the lighthouse and paid 40 per head, and they said we have a free pass to the public beach and the falls, but upon entrance, we were charged extra again (which I don't mind btw, but I hope they disclose everything or post the prices upon entrance) if you want to stay in a kubo or cottage, you have to pay an additional fee. Nevertheless, the water was very clear and you can enjoy the falls for as long as you like ☺️ upon parking, you'd have to climb the staircase (about 60-80 steps so take your precious time)
Many people and noisy in the weekend, otherwise really beautiful place. Just keep in mind that last 500m is dirt road so it can get muddy when it rains.
perfect getaway for riders, nature tripping. affordable kubo with 2 rooms and spacious kusina perfect for groups. lots of clean cr and shower. wide and accessible parking space
If it was not for time constraints, I would have spent all my afternoon relaxing here. This is such a chill place to just hang and let the water cool you off as you sit in the pools. During the time we were here, there were not a lot of tourist so we just placed our bags on the side of the water falls and jump. The water was so nice but if you have little children, make sure to keep an eye on them all the time as the rocks can be very slippery and the current can easily drag them. Overall, do not pass up a wonderful experience to be around nature and the entrance fee is sooo cheap.
Beautiful little fall with jump possibility. The rocky underground requires shoes or slippers to walk in the water.

I visited this church when I spent my holidays alone in Bolinao, Pangasinan. This church is very classical like any colonial churches but the most beautiful part of this church is actually its arch that faces the main road. You can have a good view of this arch from across the street. Another key facet of this church is its ceiling painting. It is like a modern way of doing Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel with bright poster colors used to paint. The main issue is that this was done on either panels or spandrels which is why it has these long parallel lines across all the painting. The vibe of the church is very solemn but the issue is that there are children playing inside the church and kind of noisy but not really that much.
A peaceful and historic church at the heart of Bolinao. St. James the Great Parish Church offers a serene place for prayer and reflection. The centuries-old stone architecture and quiet atmosphere give it a unique charm. Well-maintained and spiritually rich, it's worth visiting whether you're attending Mass or just passing through
Saint James the Great Parish Church, commonly known as Bolinao Church, is a Spanish colonial Roman Catholic church located at Brgy. Germinal in Bolinao, Pangasinan, Philippines. It is under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Alaminos. The church was made out of black coral stones. The church underwent series of natural and man-made calamities, such as the 1788 earthquake, 1819 fire incident, and Typhoon Emong in 2009.
A very nice 0ver 400 year old church made out of corals per our tourist guid. Nice olace to visit for a solemn prayer.
Historical and Solemn place first before going around Bolinao. St. James the Great Parish. It's a good place to stop and take a moment to pray and give thanks for a safe trip you have had. The church was made out of black coral stones. The church underwent series of natural and man-made calamities, such as the 1788 earthquake, 1819 fire incident, and Typhoon Emong in 2009. After visiting the church, you may look for the stall just outside the church when you can buy their delicacy, the Binungey. If you feel like grabbing a snack, you may try going to Adoras Restaurant- they are known for their lomi. For a heavy meal, there are other much recommended restaurants to go to.
A visit to this church is a must when you set a foot in Bolinao. This is also in the middle of the town proper and just a walking distance from the bus terminal. I actually liked it with no paint at all as it gives a very original and natural feels for the interior of the church . I gives a resemblance on the exterior wall facade of the church. Parking space is available could be crowded if festivities will be held. Right now, church is having an on-going interior construction. Dislikes: The stores beside the church wall should be remove as this might damage the church wall.
Being the history buff that I am, I do have an eternal romantic affair with edifices that could be vintage, culturally significant or historically important to a particular town or city. So back when Bolinao was still void of an exodus of tourists, I used to spend lots of weekends here with my family or friends (I live in Pangasinan, lucky me, so places like this are just on my backyard, so to say) , and every time we go, a visit to this church is always a must. And oh, must I say, I am not a catholic, so I do not have a religious obligation to visit every time I go there. I am just simply in love with this church. That's all. There was this trivial info that fascinated me a lot. Bolinao is actually contesting the first mass ever held in the Philippines. Apparently, It is said that St James the Great Fortress in Bolinao is where the first mass in the country was celebrated in 1324 by Blessed Fr. Odorico, a Franciscan missionary who also baptized several locals before returning to his homeland. The mass was conducted as a thanksgiving as their fleet was ravaged by a storm at sea and that they landed safely in Bolinao. This historical information is contesting the mass that happened on March 31, 1521, where Ferdinand Magellan ordered a Mass to be celebrated, officiated by the Andalusian chaplain of the fleet and the only priest then, Father Pedro Valderrama. Conducting near the shores of the island, this First Holy Mass marked the birth of Roman Catholicism in the Philippines and is widely regarded as the first ever mass in the Philippines. These pieces of Historical information are just mind-boggling. But disregard the historical data, Bolinao church is just simply a structure to behold. Just looking at its massive facade made out of black coral stones, you'll already be amazed at how it survived the passing of time. If you ever get to visit Bolinao for a beach holiday, do visit this church first. Its located right in the heart of the town. You can also buy stuff or food you might need while on the coastal side. The market is just right beside it and of course, prices there are way cheaper than buying whatever you might need from the resort you're staying. Try the amazing Binungey too! I am not going to describe it here but do google it. There's lots of vendors of Binungey outside the church. That's all folks.
Nice historical place a 400 year old church. With a painted ceiling about the bible. From old testament to new testament.

Peaceful hardly touched piece of nature. Fresh water exploring in active stalagmite cave that we had all to ourselves. The grounds are quiet, clean and lush with hammock, picnic tables and a few friendly pets of the land owner. A great affordable little gem in the jungle. Costs around 50 pesos per person.
If only i can rate lower than 1 i will rate it, we came early and the fee is 150 per head and 20 for motorcycle parking, when we enter the cave my first impression was just a waste of money, cave is not attractive to swim with, then suddenly the lights went out, we tried to cancel and requested a refund instead since none of us swam yet,and the staff got mad because of it and refunded only about 40% of our payment
We went on a weekday so we got our place ourselves :) It was really nice to swim there, the water was cool and feels refreshing. Also, most if it was shallow (we stayed up to waist deep level) so you can leisurely swim. However, the place itself is already rundown and not maintained. No staff at the time of our visit (beyond 4pm on a Tuesday). We were assisted by an elderly man (he was kind, thank you lolo!) who lives by the fork of the road. Howevr, still giving it a 3-star since the swim itself was really nice Tips: - Go there at an earlier time - Wear mosquito repellent!!!! - We were only two in there, not gonna lie it really spooked me. I suggest to go there in groups. - Available parking
First of all, this is a hidden cave at bolinao. Be there early and you're in for a solo or private like trip in there. There's and entrance fee if Im not mistaken along with a per head charge but you can swim for as long as you like. The cave is a freshwater, cold and a bit scary on some parts. Its maintained by a family. There's a passage deep enough which only scuba divers are allowed to go so you also won't have to worry as the water isn't stagnant inside the cave.
Quite unreasonable for Php 100 for entrance fee. Facilities were not good. Comfort rooms were delapidated. The cave is so small that it can't accomodate 30 persons at the same time. But the water in the cave is clean and clear.
100 pesos entrance fee for 2 hrs stay swimming inside the cave. Accessible to the traveller. Free parking area. Need to improve the services such as, toilet and shower room.
Cindy's Cave is located at Patar road. But the actual cave entrance is a few minutes walk or ride under coconut trees. I found a typical scene from my childhood drinking coconut juice straight from the shell after it was freshly picked off the tree. Several steps lead down to a spacious cave entrance. And inside people can explore the shallow to deeper waters. There are some interesting flora and fauna like hermit crabs, birds and plants. Plenty of stalactites with some old Italian/Latin writings on the cave walls and ceiling, these would be interesting study for researchers, archaeologists, etc. Friendly charming owner/guides who would be happy to escort you to and inside the cave. Some upgrades needed like more activities to make your visit worthwhile. It was a very memorable visit because of the serenity, proximity to nature and Bolinao rustic charm.
Dec 30, 2021. 150 pesos EF. Myst be vaccinated. Upto 15 Feet Cave with clean water to swim.
