This a great park to take little kids to. It's not huge but it is very accessible for little kids and all the animals in the park are native to the area. They have a good animal petting area and there is a snack bar on site. There is also a nature trail just outside the park through the woods that the park is located in that includes a 46m high tower that has an awesome view of the surrounding area.
Although the zoo is not very large, it makes for a pleasant and relaxing day out. The atmosphere is peaceful and shaded, making it a nice spot to enjoy a calm getawa
Nice little zoo for the kids. Our 2 year old loved it. There is an elevated walkway above the enclosures and a small petting zoo and playground. 1 euro for bags of feed and plenty of parking.
Very cool park in the hills. It utilizes the natural surroundings for the animal enclosures which are for the most part also large. There is a small but nice selection of animals to see featuring wild boars and red deer. Lynx are also featured. It contains a nice little bit of educational info but they have staff who are quite knowledgeable if you want to know more. The park is good for kids and features a large playground and petting zoo. I particularly liked the walkways over the enclosure ensuring you get interesting views of the animals. The surrounding area is really nice, located in the hills so has a good view. Lots of hiking and biking in the area too. We went in autumn and the colors of the trees were fantastic.
Fantastic place. Very nice little exhibition area, great tour through the forest, very nicely arranged path. Red dear, wild boar, lynx and other wild animals. Lots of information as well as nice playground and very kind staff. The little coffee shop is the only thing that could need some improvement, though the prices are very reasonable.
A lot of reviews talk about how small the park is, but you can easily spend an hour and a half plus here if you are not rushing through it. Totally worth it
They do not take Visa nor MasterCard. Only some German EC card... Otherwise the park is great, maybe for the exception of some animals who have very little space to live in (racoons especially had a tiny penn)
Fun for sledding when possible, had so much fun,but went on Sunday and no bathrooms or food was open all closed, bring your own sleds lots of fun
