A very relaxing place for shopping with a wide range of brands having shops at the outlet. The highlight from the Outlet was the long chips - they were freshly made on site and they tasted great!
We visited Nasu Garden Outlet on a Saturday, and it wasn’t crowded, which was great! There was plenty of parking space, and we were able to park just a few steps from the entrance, making it super convenient. While there weren’t too many shop options, it still had all the well-known brands. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience!
This outlet is great for walking with your pet. I particularly think the Nike store is fantastic for anyone looking for good, cheap sneakers. There are many on the shelves compared to other Nike outlets. The photo posted of the La Boheme restaurant is wonderful, sophisticated atmosphere and very good food.
I love this outlet mall. Because it is one level only, it’s quite big. Prepare to walk for long distances. Besides that, lots of brands and products are available at a very reasonable price. Food selection is also good. To get here, the best option is still by car. If you are a visitor coming to this place can be quite tricky.
The atmosphere is relaxed, with many brands and food products to explore.
While this outlet mall is conveniently located near Nasushiobara Station, international travelers might find it somewhat lacking. The selection of luxury brands is very limited, and even popular brands like Nike have a restricted range on offer. However, the mall is extremely pet-friendly. You can dine with your pets on the terraces of restaurants, and they are allowed inside if you carry them. There’s also plenty of space for dogs to run around freely. That said, the quality and variety of the products might be a bit disappointing, especially if you’re used to shopping at outlets abroad. Overall, Nasu seems more suited for enjoying the great outdoors and local cuisine rather than for shopping.
Really big shopping garden with lot of famous branded outlets, you can find clothes, foods, vegetables and some sweets. also can find rare items for gift like blue berry honey. so it's good visit if you have a extra time like 1-2 hours. price is very reasonable for almost everything
I went there on a free shuttle bus from Nasushiobara station. If you want to get there, try to check it on thr website for the schedule. It snowed the day before I came (on 28th Dec) so snowed all the place. This time every brand is on big sales with many famous brands. Got nice stuffs for my holidays. They also have restaurants and convenience stores in case you are lost in the maze of shopping stores. :)

Bridge
Footbridge over a river, 320m in length & a popular proposal spot when leaves are golden in fall.
Slide 1 of 8
We went in Autumn season which the leaves haven’t changed color much yet. The weather is still not too cold. The ticket for walking on bridge is around 300 jpy / person. The view is very beautiful and the weather is nice and the air is clean. Good place to visit not only in Autumn but the other is also nice to visit.
We visited early on the morning of Sunday, November 17th, during the fall foliage season. The news had reported that this weekend was ideal for viewing the leaves, and by the time we were leaving, there was a line of about 50 cars outside the parking lot. The autumn colors were visible around the large suspension bridge. Although this year's foliage season was quite late, it seemed that all the visitors were enjoying themselves.
It was a nice little spot for a quick photo. We didn’t actually cross the bridge, but ended up spending more time at the nearby local shop instead. It was clean, well-organized, and had a great selection of local products.
Require a ticket to walk the bridge. In spring, you can still see the cherry blossoms. The view is stunning as you walk across the bridge.
A less known tourist spot but worth the experience. Neatly nestled in the Shiobara valley and prefectural forest, off season is the best time to visit if you want this place for yourself. Supposedly it is famous for marriage proposals. And its easy to understand why - because if the partner says yes, one would feel like settling down in the valley & if the partner says no, one would feel like living the life of a recluse in the valley.
The time I was there was not the right time to watch the red leaf. Other than the red leaf there is nothing special as the road station. To cross the bridge is not so expensive and certain exercises can be done.
To cross the bridge you have to buy a ticket, around ¥300. Nice place to enjoy the Autumn leaves. Crowed in season. Free parking with several shops around. When the free parking is full, ¥100 parking also available.
A must visit place if you go to Nasu. It’s beautiful during autumn and picturesque..!! The length of the bridge is 320 metres, is the largest pier-less suspension bridge in Japan. Magnificent views of the Shiobara valley can be seen from the bridge. In autumn, the bridge commands enchanting views of the foliage reflected on the lake. Officially listed as a “Sacred Place for Lovers”.

It's a road side station. There's a cafe, restaurant, bakery and farmers market. The bakery selection was great. Even if the bakery itself was closed, you can get something in the cafe or farmers market. Very delicious sandwich with mixed corn bread, hard to find in Japan! The restaurant was crowded.
Road station michi nari the place that everyone gonna visit during going somewhere. 1 restaurant there 1 cafe (gelato) 1 bakery and some ice cream restaurant ourside. Lots of people there and really bad driving since everyone wants to park there car. Supermarket there is cheap tho. Especially vegetable!
Nice place to take a break and buy local veggies, fruits and some good fresh (recommended) milk .
Old Edo outlook from outside. Some interesting food shops inside. Nice to stop by for a few pictures and fish shape waffles.
Good place to stop for omiyage. Excellent fruits and vegetables. Some meat products, great natto.
It was closed right now due to its renovation however you can still use loos.
Big parking lot. Clean washrooms. Safe, convenient.
Good quality veggie store.

Spacious and comfy michi no eki with local produce and goods. Prices are on the high side but to be expected since they try to sell their best stuff here for visitors coming from other prefectures.
Nice little place with a heritage site you can visit (paid), a cafe/restaurant and a farmers market. You can visit the park, parking and toilet for free.
Very new and clean. Not as many vegetables available as some older places. Everything looks to be good quality.
Update (August 2021): Recently opened up the rice bag we got during our visit two months ago and IT HAD BUGS!!! 😫😫😫 lots of lively black bugs writhing with cocoons on the sides of the bag. This should not happen. It was quite disgusting. Be careful of buying rice here. Former post from June 2021: Good area to get some veggies and plants! Have a bite to eat and take a walk on the former residence of Ambassador Aoki and his family.
I like this place.
(Translated by Google) It's a beautiful building with some shade, and the sunflowers were in full bloom. It's the perfect place to take a break during a drive at this time of year. The store sells fresh vegetables at relatively low prices. The eggplants and bitter melons are large, and the asparagus is also fresh. What surprised me most was the corn. It was incredibly sweet and rich. It seems to be a variety called Sunny Chocolate. I'd go back just for this.
(Translated by Google) Visited in the evening. Locals have complained about the increased prices since the renovation, but the selection is generally quite good, and I like the fact that prepared foods and bento boxes are half price. The store is clean, and if I have the chance, this is a roadside station I'd like to visit again. I bought bento boxes, eggs, etc. I missed the soft serve ice cream, so I'll save it for next time. Beautiful waterfalls that you touch on the route like in fairy tales. A beautiful forest along a clear stream. You have to climb the stairs mainly at first. There is a second entrance further down the road but it seems dangerous to walk on the road itself, it is better to go up the stairs especially with young children. It took us less than 20 minutes to reach the waterfall
Ryuka Falls is a beautiful waterfall with a very fairytale scenic road to get there. It's especially beautiful during autumn. The total lenght of the route is roughly 700m-1km. It's rather easy hike and accessible for any age. There is also parking available 150-200m from the starting point.
Just a simple 15-20min hike but the sceneries were breathtaking 😌 I spent too much time taking pictures that I missed the bus I was supposed to ride on lol
We came this place for hiking and enjoy the call breeze of the forest during last autumn, and I hope we can have time for any seasons to complete the whole year round and the falls is so nice.
Beautiful spot. Required a short hike to access the main falls but even the most novice of hikers wouldn’t struggle. More of a walk than a hike. Makes for a very relaxing stroll with beautiful scenery to enjoy the whole way along.
Free to enter, free to park. Forest walk through many waterfalls to this one tall waterfall
A most amazing place! Wonderful landscapes, well worth the walk! Was very lucky to be there at the right season, Autumn! Not so easy walk as claimed, but not impossible too! And a free car park at the start! Very popular, and quite busy! Plan to go early....
If you go for the little hike its worth the sights the water fall. The path may be a bit slipy

Anyone who likes to travel in nature Recommend here another place. The entrance is narrow and cars cannot pass each other. But when we arrived The waterfall is very beautiful. Still maintaining nature well We came while it was raining and it was very beautiful.
Natural, scenic, peaceful place: lush greenery, cool mist, relaxing atmosphere. There is a viewing platform (“Kanbakudai”) and from the parking lot some stairs → then further path down to the waterfall basin. Free admission.
This place was amazing! Short walk, suzushi tenki! Family all took our shoes of and dunked our feet in. Wow, late July and the water was sooo cold! Our daughter found a frog, frog attached.
Fantastic place deserved a super 5 star rate! The water fall, stream, greenery is the piece of art by nature. Definitely a pleasant place to visit in spring and summer season. Only 3min’s walk to the waterfall, good to access and less difficult walking.
Free parking and entrance and there’s a lovely cafe near it.
A great little excursion from our hotel (Epinard Nasu). We had it to ourselves, and loved the beautiful sound of the water as well as the rich green surroundings.
Nice place to visit when you travel around Nazu area. Free parking available. There is a staircase to go down and have a close look.

Lovely Bridge for some nice photos, best view is in Autumn time, Nearby Toilet is available, enough parking space. Also best part is foot spa just before entering to parking area.
I don’t know what else do they have in here but it’s beautiful and peaceful hearing the sound of the river . Once you reach the middle of the bridge you will feel it swinging 🙃 there’s a parking in there and when you reach the end of it there’s a stairs going up (i forgot what it is i think it’s a visitor’s center) i don’t know what it means and we didn’t go there .

(Translated by Google) We went on the last day of the Obon holiday. There were hardly any people there. The views were amazing!!! <<<<<But it was pretty tough getting there! >>>>>> First of all, the winding mountain slope to the parking lot was steeper than I expected. From there, it was a brisk 15-minute adult walk to the entrance to the marsh. Recently, there have been bear sightings in Nasu-Shiobara, so there were concerns about bears. The path from the parking lot to the marsh required pushing our way through quite a bit of overgrown grass and trees, which was quite challenging, and even the bears were scary. I highly recommend going with as many people as possible and bringing bear bells and other bear protection gear. Also, since it rained until morning, there were some muddy spots. The worst part was right after leaving the parking lot. Your shoes will seriously get dirty there, so be sure to check the weather the day before! Also, there are some areas along the way where there is a lot of grass, so it's best not to go on short notice. However, once you overcome these difficulties, a beautiful view unfolds before you! (Translated by Google) It's a nice place, but if you come by family car or luxury car on the narrow mountain gravel road, it's hard to pass each other and there's a lot of traffic. Even during the tourist season, wouldn't it be better for the store to have someone standing at the entrance (maybe a security guard) and restricting the number of cars entering when the store is full? I'm scared that my car will fall off a cliff. The parking lot fills up quickly, and if you don't stop, you have to park on the side of the road, which causes another traffic jam. I don't know what jurisdiction (prefecture, country, store, etc.) it will be in, but if the store says it's open from and until what time, and everyone comes there, I wonder if this place is the store's. However, be careful as you will have to go down a mountain road that is only wide enough for one car to get to the site, so if an oncoming vehicle comes, one of you will have to back up the steep mountain road to a wider area, so it is recommended for beginners and those who are not confident in driving. It's better to stop. Also, this mountain road is extremely rough with an extremely steep slope, and low-height cars will scrape the bottom and spoiler of the vehicle. (Translated by Google) A Rinzai sect temple with a history of 800 years. It is said that after the Taira clan was defeated by the Genji clan, Shigemori Taira's younger sister, Zenni Myoun, escaped from the pursuers of the Genji clan, built a hermitage in this area, and enshrined a statue of Shaka Nyorai. By the way, there is also a historical site in Shiobara called Gensan Cave, where it is said that Minamoto Aritsuna, who was chased by the Genji clan, escaped and lived the life of a fugitive. Is this land connected to Genpei? Once you pass through the Sanmon gate, which is located in a rather chaotic atmosphere, you will instantly feel a tranquil atmosphere. The precincts are very well maintained and filled with Japanese elegance. This temple is also famous for its peonies, which are in full bloom during the peak season of May. We entered during the botan matsuri, when there was an entrance fee of 500 yen. Immediately felt it was worth the price, as we received tea and Japanese sweets as a service. We enjoyed the sweets while watching the temple from the garden. Afterward, we walked up a small mountain at the back of the graveyard, which was a great experience. It was quiet and the air was refreshing, and at the end, there was a bell you could ring. In the graveyard, the peonies were in bloom. Additionally, we ran into a large troop of wild monkeys, that were eating fresh flowers from the graves. The monkeys were not afraid of people and you could see them at a very close distance. We also saw a wild honey badger. The area itself is also very beautiful. Would absolutely recommend.

I have visited Nogi Shrine in Tokyo several times, but this is my first time here. Unfortunately, the villa where General Nogi lived was burned down twice in suspicious fires. The current building is a reconstruction. General Nogi is represented in various forms, including paintings, photographs, and statues. General Nogi had a gentle appearance as a soldier, and has a gentle image of showing samurai compassion to his enemies in real life as well. However, he was not good at war, and two of his own children were killed in the Russo-Japanese War under his command. He also served as the president of Gakushuin University, and excelled in both literature and martial arts. There is a villa behind the shrine, but it was burned down in a suspicious fire and is now a reconstruction. [Deities] Nogi Maresuke, Nogi Shizuko [History] Emperor Meiji passed away on July 30, 1912, and on the night of September 13, when his funeral took place, the couple repaid the Emperor Meiji's blessing by committing suicide. On the day of the funeral of the Shogun and his wife, which was held at Aoyama Funeral Hall, local residents who remembered their virtues held a distant worship ceremony at their villa. At the ceremony, Tezuka Genki, the chief priest of Otawara Shrine, who later became the first chief priest of Nogi Shrine, proposed the founding of a shrine to enshrine the spirit of the Shogun as a god of earthly virtue, and with overwhelming support from those in attendance, the decision was made to establish the shrine. August 28, 1914 A proposal to establish a shrine was submitted June 16, 1915 Permission given by the Minister of the Interior: "The shrine should be considered a prefectural shrine" March 6, 1916 The main hall and worship hall were completed April 12, 1916 The deity was transported by train from the main residence and enshrined at 8pm April 13 Grand ceremony held to celebrate the enshrinement (Original) 2025.5 日清戦争後に乃木将軍が閑居した別邸の敷地内にある神社。
