Popular island destination for diving & viewing Komodo dragons, the world's largest lizards.

Fantastic and awesome experience sighting the Komodo dragons in their natural environment. It took some effort to walk around the island to search for these reptiles. We found them mainly near the water holes and they were not aggressive as long as they were not provoked. We were advised by the guides to keep a reasonable distance to be safe. Definitely worth a visit to be up close and personal with the dragons
This tour need more love for part to the local and the Labuan Bajo people. Will be different if they teach about the life and how it’s the community of Dragons… They just help you to take pictures. In Labuan Bajo you need to pay a Fee for 350.000 rupias for travel to the island and it’s sad found they even not have a good toilet for the tourist.
It's a lifetime experience to come to komodo habitat island. While it's very hot temperatures and sun heat, and you should bring enough water, you can feel a difference circumstances in the island. The sound of the crows will welcome you as you enter the gate. Came here in October and encounter only 1 adult komodo and 2 little komodos. There are lot of merchandise sellers in the island, and they got little upset and angry when you skip them
As the part of New7Wonders of Nature, Komodo Island is very beautiful. When you met the dragon, they look so tempting. It is good to start your day by tracking the forest of Komodo National Park and end up by saw the Komodo relaxing their morning time at the beach. I guarantee you will be very excited when you see this exotic dragon. Meanwhile, you can also enjoy the clear sea water when you are sailing from Labuan Bajo to the Komodo Island.
The real dinosaur that can you see now in this era. Komodo dragon is a ancient reptil and just a view island you can find this animal, and komodo island one of them. Becarefull because komodo is not a pet and it dangerous if you near from this animal. But don't worry the rangers in komodo national park will guide you if you entering this location. And they will give you a lot information about komodo. But don't expect you will find Komodo in your journey, because sometimes when matting season you will get disapointed when the Komodo is not appears, the rangers said that is could happend because is wildlife not in zoo. Maybe you will charge around 250 IDR for local and around 425 IDR for aliens. But it's still afordable for your experience, the place quite well maintenace, restroom is available, and have tracking path when you entering the jungle. When you going thirsty maybe you can buy in small local shop around here, the price relative more higher than in main island, but it's worth for touirsm place. If you want buy some souvenir i think the price here more cheaper than you buy in souvenir shop around airport.
Komodo Island is one of the famous tourism destination in Indonesia and the beautiful scenery will amuse all the tourist. No wonder this place became of new-7-wonder of nature. It is good to start your day by tracking the forest of Komodo National Park and then see the komodo dragon enjoying their time on the beach in the morning. The view from Komodo National Park is stunning. Looking forward to exploring new things in Komodo Island on my Christmas break this year.
Visited in August (not high season for dragons) and saw a few dragons - a couple of big ones and a baby in the tree. Supposedly it's much better in peak season. Still definitely worth a visit to see the dragons in their natural habitat!
The island is beautiful, the trekking paths are easy and stress free, but public amenities like toilet still needed improvement, especially since this is supposed to be a world class attraction. I'm a little bit disappointed with the ranger because he seemed very reluctant to take us on a tour along the medium route (we didn't even take the long route), but was very informative. We're also swarmed by little children pushing us to buy souvenirs. It's a bit annoying but understandable since the pandemic hit their economy too. Please note that komodos are wild animals and there's always a chance you won't see one, especially on a hot day.

This island is better than Komodo island as the access for the boat, walkway for tourists and information are available. There are lots of rangers who can explain and accompany the tourists. Clean toilets are also available at the venue. It's much safer for tourists to walk around.
We took a private charter to this island and we’re the only ones there! We saw multiple komodos which were incredible. Our local guide was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us lots about the Komodos and life on the island. The island itself is very beautiful with incredible views out to sea. We did not visit Komodo island as well but would highly recommend Rinca due to how quiet it is.
Had a great walk on Rinca Island to see the famous Komodo dragons! Fun fact — Loh means bay and Buaya means Komodo here. The scenery was beautiful and the guided tour was very informative. We were lucky enough to spot several dragons up close.
We had very nice trip here. There was 6 of us including 9 year old kid.. Arrival by boat was spectacular, islands around us were so beautiful! Visitor centre is modern, they have small shop and toilets there. Rangers were nice, they explained us lots on the dragons. We saw several dragons, buffalo and monkeys. Surrounding landscape was also nice. Even I was little bit scared of 🦖I really enjoyed it. I hope, Indonesia can protect and preserve this area forever.❤️
Our group stayed at the fishing village as part of our tour. Nice place and people. The bat tour was interesting but might need to keep to the edge of the cave we disturbed them more than I thought when we walked in a short distance to get a betting look. There was a dead bat but it was dead several days and not from our group. We got to see a dragon nest, learn about the dragon's nesting practices, saw some deer, and saw a female dragon that was near the village from a far distance (not able to get good photos but nice to see it)
Komodo island, are is maizing filll to fisited.therare are so many thing to do fine the acomodation. We coled the brilan island.
Easiest place where to see Komodo dragons (many conveniently hang out by the kitchen). Beware of the potential scams with the "compulsory" ranger fees (ours got significantly lowered the moment we questioned the fee amount...). We spotted a few dragons in the wild too !

We had an amazing experience with Scuba Republic. We went on a 3D/2N Cruise on Capoeng, a very cozy boat for small groups. The diving was incredible, we saw everything we were hoping for: Mantas, Sharks, Eagle rays, healthy reefs, beautiful coral gardens, adventurous drift diving. Everything was perfectly managed and guided by Yano and Archie, very lovely and professional diveguides. Also the boat itself was comfortable and the boatcrew were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. It just feels like a big family onboard. Not to forget the great food we had every day. All in all it was a perfect Komodo dive cruise.
Thank you to Scuba Republic for making us fall in love with the underwater world of Komodo! We had the most amazing experience in the Capoeng liveaboard!! Thank you to Yano and Archie and all the incredible Capoeng crew for the dreamiest days we could have imagined: the dives are INSANE, the instructors super experienced and good at what they do, the crew is sooo helpful, kind and professional and the boat is clean, spacious and comfortable. The food is EXTREMELY GOOD and local!! I recommend it 10000%!!! We also stayed and did some daily dives with them and it was also an amazing experienced, thanks to our divemaster Joe for taking care of us and showing me all the nudiss! Scuba Republic for sure has our heart, the team to dive with in Komodo!!
What a unique experience with Scuba Republic! I was on the Capoeng liveaboard for 3 days and 2 nights. The entire crew was so welcoming and friendly. A big thank you goes especially to our two guides, Yano and Archie. They are absolutely professional guides who gave us the best possible experience you can have on the Komodos. We really saw everything we wanted to see. On top of that, they are so nice personalities. It felt like we had been friends for years. The entire trip was the perfect mix of diving and relaxing. A big compliment also goes to the kitchen! The food was so varied and made with love. I can only recommend this experience to everyone. Hope to see you soon again ❤️
Our Komodo liveaboard experience was up there with one of the best things I’ve ever done!! The boat was beautiful, with incredible staff and professional divers, Joel and Archie. The food and beverages were lovely. They also planned a lot of activities for us out of the blue too🥰 Thank you for an incredible trip, we will be back!!
I’ve been on the Capoeng liveaboard for 3 days, and I also decided to stay 3 more days doing fun dives. It was my first time on a liveaboard, and I’ve had the best diving experience in my 8 years of diving around the world. The entire Scuba Republic team is truly wonderful — they make you feel like part of the family. It’s honestly the best place you can choose for your diving experiences in Komodo. Eternally grateful to Yano, Manon, Flo, and the whole team! I’ll be back very soon!!!
A wonderful three days and two nights on Capoeng with Scuba Republic Komodo!! The experience was seamless from start to finish. The diving was excellent, even in the low season, and waters calm. The crew and dive guides, Joel and Archie, were fantastic and great fun too! Thank you so much for an awesome trip, we’ll be back!!
I loved to dive with Scuba republic!! I was planning to dive only one day but since I loved it so much, I dived the 2 days I was in Labuan Bajo with them! It was the most luxurious diving experience for me who only really dived from speed boat before. The boat was amazing, so clean! The first floor is only for the diving equipment and getting ready to dive and the upper deck is just to relax and eat between the dives. The food was also amazing both days! So much food as well, you won’t get hungry. There are 2 toilets and 3 fresh water showers on the boat which was great. About the staff, they are all very competent, fun and kind. Some speak different languages like french and spanish so it can be nice if that is your language too. Each dive was detailed which a breafing and a drawing. They put emphasis on safety a lot, on the boat and in the water. At the end of the day, they take the time to show you the fishes you saw on your dives in the fish ID books and to give you a feedback on your diving. They also are very responsive on whatsapp. I was able to book everything throught it, only a couple of days ahead. I loved everything about my 2 days with them. I recommend 100%!
If I could, I’d give them 10 stars! ⭐ It was honestly the best experience ever. The crew, the boat, the instructors, the other guests, the food, and the dive spots — everything was just perfect. We saw so many lovely things underwater. We did the 2N/3D liveaboard trip and had our own cabin with AC. Our boat was: Capoeng. All the gear was in excellent condition, and the whole experience was so well organized. The price was also very fair for what we got. The only thing I found a bit less exciting was the Komodo dragon visit 🐉 — we only saw two small ones sleeping near the park entrance. But that’s just luck; other guests told us they saw many more a week earlier. Honestly, we were sad when it ended. Can’t recommend it enough!
