Pancuran means springs, pitu means seven (the numbers of the spring) It refers to the seven hot springs that flow directly from Slamet Mountain. It took a bit of a hike to reach the top. There were massage areas & tubs filled with the sulphuric hot water. There were some toilet cubicles, which i don't recommend going. But in case of emergency, you don't need to hold in it. Fyi: Sulfur is believed to have antibacterial subtances that fight bacteria, which cause acne and other skin problems. The view from up there was beautiful. The air was clean and it felt peaceful, as we heard the drizzling water surrounds us. Underneath Pancuran Pitu, which still in the same area, there's Tebing Selirang. Tebing selirang is a cliff formed by sulfur sediment from the natural hot water flow of Pancuran Pitu (above it), which is hardened and creates an organic yellowish cliff wall. The water was warm and on several points were hotter than the other parts. It was a nice spot to just relax and enjoy the drizzling sulfuric water and warm steam surrounding you. The terrain was a bit tough for kids. But my 10 years old could do it, with some nagging along the way. Don't forget to bring hat, sunblock, mosquitoes repellant (just in case), hiking stick, hiking shoes, towel & extra clothes.
This is a recreational forest at the foot of Mount Slamet, the second highest mountain in Central Java. The air is cool and clear. It's a good place to relax. If you come to this area, I recommend visiting this place. This place looks like a small waterfall because sulfur water flows out. The view is nice and it's great to go down and up the stairs for your health.
The area where Pancuran Pitu Waterfall is located is absolutely stunning. The trail includes some steep climbs, and there's an additional entrance fee, but it's definitely worth a visit
Nice tranquil place, well maintain. Natural hot water spring.
Our last destination in our trip in purwokerto , from the gate we can pay 25.000 per person , to reach pancuran pitu we must driving inside the forest , we driving through the wood , small waterfall , glamping area , mosque , and conservation building inside the national park. The main road is smooth but almost reach pancuran pitu the road is bit off road , we need to aware while driving prevent accident . From the gate of pancuran pitu there are enough space to park, several local food stall and toilet . We must walking down to reach pancuran pitu , now the staircase was good than when i visited 10 years ago . We will see the hot spring water out from the source and it is totally super hot , some people also take a chance to massage their body with sulfur powder and it help by local masseur . Besides that we can walk again 1 more down below and we can enjoy the waterfall with hot spring water. For this place you need prepare the extra energy . The forest so good in preservation.
150k idr for private pool. Worth it. so refreshing but the private onsen is lacking privacy. Pls noted our onsen-neighbor flies a drone but the staff didn't do anything.
Visiting Pancuran 7 was really an eye opening experience. Surrounded by nature brought a tranquility and serenity to the soul and a perfect place to escape from overcrowded metropolitan such as Jakarta.
When you came from pos2 is very adventurous. I can not explain it...you need trekking shoes
