This was the best beach in our opinion we have seen this Year in Bulgaria below Carewo. The beach is quite wide and not that ling, the access is not that easy, but it is worth it. It is partly organised, water is shallow which is good for children and very clean.
I recently visited this beach, which I had heard is one of the best beaches around during the main season. However, my off-season experience was extremely disappointing. It looked as if a storm had swept through, leaving everything in disarray and destruction. Maybe there was a storm, but where is the cleaning? The first thing that hit me was the overwhelming smell of sewage and urine. It was everywhere, making it almost unbearable to stay for long. The sunbeds and toilets were in a state of complete disrepair, with no signs of any recent cleaning or maintenance. The view, which I imagine is stunning during peak season, was marred by the sight of debris and neglect. It's hard to believe that this beach is considered one of the best in the area when it looks like this off-season. Overall, my visit was a huge letdown. I hope the city takes note and makes the necessary improvements to restore this beach to its reputed glory.
A great place to spend a day at. Usually the water is clean and calm. The first at least 15 meters are very shallow so it’s great for kids too.
The road is quite difficult to access to the beach. Once you're arrived there is a person waiting for your money, the parking is paid 5lv for the full day. There is nothing made in the parking, it's also not a parking just a land with trees, nothing else. The beach is nice small place to seat on and the water is quiet, calm for today.. There are a lots of tourists all around, families and friends. Nothing so interesting, just quiet water. I don't give so much recommendations
Silistar Beach is a secluded beach strip, which is also comfortably spacious. There is enough space for everyone who decides to bring their own beach gear whilst also offering enough sunbeds and umbrellas for the people who prefer that. The water is clean because there aren't many buildings in proximity to the beach. However, because of its secluded nature, the beach itself does not appear to be cleaned often, and there were cigarettes and other leftovers in the sand. There are only a few establishments that offer food and drinks, and they do so at ridiculously high prices, so I advise against visiting them and bringing your own food instead. The parking is in the forest behind the beach, which also means there aren't a whole lot of parking spots, and on a busy day this can be a problem as the area is surrounded by woods. Driving down the road to the beach itself is also not a pleasant experience because it is a dirt road, which is also quite narrow.
Beautiful beach. Hard to get there though. Last 1 km is awful. Before that the road is very narrow for 10-15 km. Very close to Bulgarian - Turkish border, so you could be subject of random checks from the border police. Despite of all above it’s worth visiting.
One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been at. The sand is super fine and during the time that we were there, the waves were not that big. In order to reach the beach you need to either leave your car at the begining of a trail or go down on a black road and pay 5 leva for parking, even though the area should be forbidden for cars. There is a bar nearby selling refreshments and there is a lifeguard at the beach.
Wild & free (except that U have to pay 5 leva for parking) beach, shallow water, fine sand, BOD (bring your own devices ;)).
