So, our adventure kicked off super early at 3:30 am in Baguio. We got to the school gym around 5:00 am for registration and a quick orientation. It was pretty cool 'cause they sell hiking sticks there, which are actually awesome souvenirs afterward! They also had caps, water, and even pancakes if you were feeling peckish. Just wanted to share a quick rundown of what I spent: ₱100 for registration, another ₱100 for parking, ₱800 for our awesome tour guide (worth every peso!), ₱90 for the environmental fee, and ₱400 for the car ride back to where we started. A little tip: you might wanna pack a rice meal, or you could just grab some grub at the canteen near the summit. And if you're a snacker like me, definitely bring some treats! Oh my goodness, the sunrise was absolutely breathtaking! It took us about 3 hours to hike up to the summit and another 3 hours to get back down. Our guide mentioned that folks who are more experienced hikers usually take around 4 hours. For us beginners, it was more like 6 to 8 hours, but totally doable! Honestly, this was such a fun experience, and I'd absolutely love to do it again. It's also a really great hike if you're just starting out! 😊
Went last May on a weekend. The hike itself is relatively easy and is definitely beginner-friendly. There are so many photo spots, but it was also very crowded. We waited almost 2hrs to get a picture at the famous rock formation but still didn't get the chance because we had to descend due to the weather. Nevertheless, the mountain is very picturesque. Since it's in the Mountain Province, it wasn't that hot, but I would still recommend bringing a hat or an umbrella as there are segments with no trees or shade at all.
Mountain is well maintained I don't remember seeing any trash during the trail and at the peak (picture taking spots) The trail was not that hard thus leaving up to its "beginner friendly" Category. It was a 9km hike but once you started, you won't notice that you're approaching the half point and exit. I suggest bringing your own foods since the food stop at the mountain halfway was soooo expensive that foods were priced at least triple than normal e.g pancit canton, eggs, noodles and their ulams and drinks even water was priced 70 pesos per bottle. Overall it was a great experience
One of the most beautiful places I have visited. The mountain is tall and is challenging to go down but the view is worth it. It is 9km but expect to hike in almost 11km.
Went here last June 12, 2025, and it was raining that day, and the locals did mention that it has been raining days before. Started our hike at 6AM, arrived at the peak at 10AM, pacing was due to no exercise, could be better and faster if we prepared for the hike in advance 😅😅😅 it was rainy and foggy all the way up to the summit, thankfully it cleared a bit when we arrived at the summit. Locals say its better to go there during Ber months when its not raining as the mountains offer a very good view of Pangasinan and La Un
It's about a five-hour drive from Manila. Unlike many mountains in the Philippines, it has an open view. Big animal waste is all over the trail, but it doesn't stink, perhaps because it's high in altitude. The difficulty level is also not hard enough for beginners.
02.25.2024 Difficulty 3/9 Features: Grassland and pine ridges, scenic views of the Cordilleras, burial caves 👍🏼 Good for first time hikers/ Beginner friendly. 👎🏻 Too crowded, mahaba ang pila sa spots na picturan.
Went last October 18, The hike was relevantly easy, Beginner friendly and the scenery was breathtaking.
