I had the opportunity to visit the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph on a weekday, and it was a truly serene and awe-inspiring experience. The basilica’s stunning Gothic Revival architecture, intricate stained glass windows, and beautifully detailed interiors make it a must-see for anyone visiting Guelph. The quiet weekday atmosphere allowed me to fully appreciate the peaceful ambiance and the grandeur of this historic church. Whether you’re there to pray, admire the craftsmanship, or learn about its history, the basilica offers a sense of calm and reflection that’s hard to find elsewhere. A beautiful landmark and a testament to timeless architecture – highly recommended for history, art, and architecture enthusiasts.
just visited the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate in Guelph, and it was seriously impressive! I'm always on the lookout for stunning landmarks, and this one definitely delivered. Inside, it's so peaceful and beautiful. The light streaming through the colorful stained glass windows was magical. You can really feel the history and the importance of the place. It's the kind of place that makes you stop and just take it all in. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Guelph. It's easy to find, and wandering around inside is a great way to spend some time. It gives you a real sense of the city's character and history.
A beautiful church (Basilica ) constructed in 1800s . Awasom construction I have checked the mass timings on the church site , so that was able to participate in the mass of 11 am on Sunday Inside the church it's very calm and buetiful.. well lighted (naturally) with colour full stained glass Highly recommended to visit at least once if you pass through Guelph
This is one of my favorite historic site in Ontario. inside and out are so stunning, well detailed. Though I not visiting church like other Christian I would say I will be regular here if I am living in this area. So beautiful, if you see the interior of the church you definitely be in 'awe' moment.
I visited the BASILICA OF OUR LADY IMMACULATE today, which is in Guelph. It was a half an hour drive from my place in Waterloo and I have been wanting to visit the Bascillica for the longest time ever. Although the website said the Basilica closes at 3 pm, we were able to visit and pray in peace when we reached there at 3:30 pm. The place has a very calm and soothing vibe, it's very peaceful and beautiful. I spent around 20 minutes there talking to GOD. And then witnessed the amazing architecture. One should visit the Bascillica if they need a break from the busy world and want some peace and time to talk to GOD. Don't forget your 3 wishes if you're visiting the Bascillica for the first time. 🤭
Beautiful basilica! I love coming here during the weekdays, with no one around to calm my mind in thoughtful prayer. I’m in absolute awe with the artistic intricacy and architecture, both interior and exterior. The stain glass windows come to life as the sun shines through it. Beautiful all year round.
Was here for a wedding and I have to say the place is immaculate, the intricate details, the paintings, the stain glass. I mean it was was just amazing to behold. The ceremony was flawless, and the sound when the organ played...wow, highly reccomend a visit
I love this basilica, very great atmosphere with a small garden on the side. Very serene and peaceful.

Hadn’t been to The Donkey Sanctuary in many, many years and today was the perfect day for a visit! The grounds are stunning, the staff and volunteers are so knowledgeable and friendly, and the donkeys and mules are beautiful, healthy and happy! If you need to find some peace and quiet or just check out of your thoughts for a couple of hours this is the place to go! Everyone is happy and who doesn’t love hugging a fluffy miniature donkey?! I fell in love with Caesar! We’ll be heading back before the season closes.
A definite must visit such a beautiful tranquil Sanctuary. It's an absolutely beautiful, wonderful place.so much love and care are given to these beautiful animals. You can't help but fall in love with these Donkeys and gratitude to all the staff vets volunteers who show some much love and compassion
The staff and volunteers were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The donkeys all seemed well cared for and friendly. Very docile creatures. They enjoyed the petting and many would stand by the fence where they could be reached. It was a fun day.
Such a great experience! This place is a safe haven for donkeys and mules. The volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and you will learn a lot. Being around that many donkeys leaves you feeling “zen” since they are so calm and gentle. A great way to spend an afternoon :)
I loved how there are so many volunteers here, caring and looking after the donkeys and so knowledgable too, could answer any questions thrown at them and you could see the compassion and loving nature as they spoke about each donkey. My only disappoinment was that i wish there was more interaction with the donkeys, some kind of space where you could sit with them, feed them, brush them, anything really. I came in from Toronto (1.5hr drive, each way) to spend just 30 minutes at the santuary, i felt alittle deflated but happy i got to see them being so loved.
This donkey sanctuary was impressive. We went to the talk about donkeys and learned so much about them. The donkeys and mules were very gentle. This is a great day trip from Toronto for all ages. I highly recommend it. You can even support this worthy organization by sponsoring one of the adorable donkeys or mules. Just one little warning - the website says to wear closed shoes and long pants. I wore the closed shoes but opted for capri pants. Unfortunately the part of my leg that was exposed came into contact with stinging nettle plants growing close to the fence of the donkey paddocks so be sure to keep away from the nettles or wear long pants!
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our visit to the Donkey Sanctuary yesterday. I am so glad we were able to make it for the last open day of the season and will definitely be back for a longer visit next year. We fell in love with Apollo who came over to say hello when we first arrived. The farm is well organized, the grounds are well kept, and it is a beautiful and peaceful place. You can tell that everyone working and volunteering here truly cares for the donkeys. Thank you for your hospitality!
This is a wonderful place to make many trips to. What an incredible experience and the staff and volunteers were fantastic. It was our first time there but for sure we will return.

Nice outdoor skating trail. Located just to the right of the carousel on the south side of the park. The ice was quite bumpy due to how the ice froze so you can’t go too fast but still very fun to skate on!
A nice park to take the kids has a proper playground for them to play on. There's a cool little train you can ride and a classic carousel. There's a concession stand where you can buy some foods. Very overpriced for the quality of the food.. small hotdog with a giant stale bun. $9? We enjoyed our day, though.
This park is a solid spot for a walk or to take the kids out. There's a good path for walking, a carousel that the kids seem to love, and a playground that's got everything they need. The garden's pretty neat too, with lots of well-kept flowers. There's this bench in the garden where you can sit and just look out at the river. If you're up for a bit more walking, there's a butterfly garden about 10 minutes from the entrance, just across a bridge. It's a chill place to relax and enjoy the outdoors, and there are plenty of benches if you want to take a break. They've also got a frisbee area that's usually pretty busy. Definitely a great place for a family day, and you can even bring a barbecue if you want.
Riverside Park in Guelph is a stunning, family-friendly destination with a beautiful riverfront view. The park offers expansive green spaces, picnic areas, playgrounds, and walking trails, making it perfect for both relaxation and outdoor activities. It’s a great spot for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat in the city.
A lovely park that is great for families. You can find rides for children (carousel, train, play structure), picnic tables, beautiful trails to walk, and a concession stand. A great place to spend a lazy weekend afternoon.
This is a beautiful well kept park! Bring the kids … especially on weekends when the train should be running… plus maybe the old carousel. Squires will come to you looking for nuts - maybe be prepared (shhh not supposed to feed wild animals)
Loved this park. Huge park and the near by location is also good. The washrooms were clean and well maintained unlike many other parks. Good for every age. Children's park is also big and have many different devices. Kids will love this place. There is area for base ball field.
Went here with my buddy and his kids. I can see the appeal for children. I didn't even know this place existed before coming here. The squirrels were very friendly and we got to feed a few of them. I was shocked to see so many kids and such a huge play space for them, I'm glad this place exists for the fact that kids get to have fun and meet other kids. Happy to see parents there too, and there weren't any issues like bullying or shoving, everyone behaved rather well. The staff were polite and friendly for the most part. This is a fantastic place for kids, I highly recommend it to parents out there seeking a place to get out of the house and let their kids have fun, meet new kids and parents. check it out.

A very beautiful and peaceful escape into nature. With winding trails, gardens, and a huge variety of trees and plants, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing walk or a bit of quiet reflection. Each season has its own charm—spring blossoms, summer greens, fall colours, and winter serenity. It’s well-maintained, has informative signs about the different species, and is great for photography or birdwatching. Parking is easy, and it’s close to the university, making it a convenient spot to visit. Whether you’re a nature lover or just need a break from the city, this place is a gem.
The Arboretum is a beautiful and quiet place with fewer crowds and people coming there only to spend quality time with friends and families making the place very interesting. For couples or for family, all have something to do with an enormous trail for nature, walk, and calmness. Must visit for those who are looking to relax and get out of their hectic life schedule.
Beautiful location for a walk. Stroller-friendly trails for anyone looking to take their baby out for a stroll. 10/10 recommend visiting in the fall to experience the fall colours!
Lovely place to come with friends, family, or alone! Beautiful scenery, of courses. Lots of activities, friendly people, plenty of seating available as well. I’d love to be back to see it in different seasons! (Weekend parking at the university is free, no entrance fee either.)
This is one of our favorite places to visit when visiting Guelph. Beautiful and very tranquil. Most of the foliage was not yet green and hence only the four stars. Unfortunately we had already missed most of the blossoming cherry tree.
The pathway is so mesmerizing. Range of different plants and trees to explore. Very calm and well maintained. Will surely come back again. The highlight was the Japanese garden.
Absolutely stunning! We walked most of the grounds over a couple hours. I am so glad we took the time to enjoy this beautiful park!
Saw a couple Blue Jay's, a woodpecker and many other bird yesterday at the Gosling Wildlife Garden. So many beautiful trees. The Japanese garden was very impressive too

It is a lovely beach with a sandy shore for kids to play on. There is ample parking (small fee of $17 for day pass, if noone is at the booth, it's quick and easy to use the QR code to pay). There are boat launches, hiking trails, picnic areas and BBQ pits. Lots of seating areas and shady trees if you love taking your picnic mats with you. Great place for solitude or family time. There are washrooms 🚻 (these were locked when we visited), but there are also portable toilets around. I saw reviews about lots of geese and gulls, there weren't many today and the water and shoreline were very clean.
This lake is such a dream! You can paddle board for hours and hours and not be bored! The water is usually calm. The only downside is you can only swim in the specific areas to avoid geese poop 😩! Overall AWESOME LAKE!
Had a wonderful time at Guelph Lake Conservation Area! The park is beautifully maintained and offers a variety of activities. We enjoyed hiking the scenic trails and spending time at the sandy beach. The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. There are plenty of picnic spots and clean facilities. A great place for a day trip or camping. Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun outdoor experience!
Overall, the Guelph Conservation Area is a fantastic place for a day trip. Whether you're interested in kayaking, looking for a clean and family-friendly environment, or just wanting a lovely picnic spot, this park has something for everyone. We highly recommend it for a fun and relaxing outdoor experience. I will soon visit again here.
It is a really nice spot picnic spot. They rent kayaks and canoes, so you can paddle on a calm lake. There's a simple path for hiking that's not hard, and you can see a small waterfall too. They have a lot of grassy space where you can have a picnic, and they even let you cook on a BBQ. They also have plenty of trees and benches where you can sit and rest. I think it's a great place if you want to have a fun day outside with easy things to do and nice views.
Decent campground close to GTA. Water at the beach was murky but didn’t stop us from taking a dip. Bathrooms are average. Most sites are covered with grass which is really nice to keep things clean. Definitely doesn’t have the Ontario Parks vibe but still pretty good as a last resort camping trip.
This is a large park suitable both for camping and day use. The hiking trail that we used (the Red trail) was not difficult, but not too challenging either for the enthusiastic camper. The showers and toilets were well maintained, and the campgrounds ( we hired an electrical one) were well serviced with water and electrical outlets. This camp is suitable for those with camper vans and fifth wheels. We would have liked to see dishwashing stations to encourage people to reduce waste. The reservoir and dam areas have 2 beaches. The water was very suitable for swimming and looked much cleaner than Lake Ontario, where we visit often. We hired a 2-person kayak from the Grand River Rafting company, and for a very reasonable fee that included life-jackets, we were able to enjoy paddling around the reservoir for an hour. It was a very enjoyable time, and just an hour from Mississauga.
Spectacular views and numerous benches, perfect for sitting, chatting, and enjoying a picnic with family. The park also has multiple hidden entrances to the lake, providing various serene spots to swim, meditate and unwind.

Really nice place to go if you lovr antiques. This is HUGE ! Been there as part of my Crosscountry Bokepacking Antiquarian Trio on my Giant Pakyak with my youtube " TravellingParrot" Chuck. I stayed 6 hours meeting everybody around in search of small antiques i can carry around with me to sell on my Facebokk auction page. I found a lot of interesting booth with lots of decors but also carryong a few smalls. Ranging from Jewelry to antiqure Coin dating back to roman era and african art to literraly A TON OF TOOLS . This place surely has something for everyone. .i did not had the time to go and take a look or a bite at the on site restaurant , but i can say the smell was atracting. The 5 $ entry fee is worth every penny. Recommend this Market anytime. A lot of cool people to meet along the run. Take your time , you never know what you can find !
Great market! Should definitely check it out if you have the chance. Nicely laid out ,stroller friendly. I'm sure you'll find a bargain and there's also food vendors as well. What a great afternoon!.
This was our first visit and wow, it was amazing! So much variety, you need at least 2-3 hours to be able to see everything. There as a $10 per person entry free, bit worth it if you like antiques or vintage items. Highly recommend visiting!
Lots of vendors on this special biannual Saturday edition of this weekly antique market, but unfortunately not many deals. Flea market stuff is priced at antique levels. Eg. DUBBLE BUBBLE coffee mug selling currently at noValue Village for $4 was priced at $18. It's true!!! Pity... Buyer beware. This 70s bike was $1650. Not kidding!!
Always great, amazing finds and lots of new vendors whenever you go.
I've been wanting to go for months and i finally went a few sundays ago. It was just wonderful and so big!! It was like wandering around a rabbit warren!!! It just kept on going!!! full of interesting and intriguing pieces, no 'tat' that i found. Great friendly stall sellers, that either let you be or have a friendly conversation with. Even managed to grab a hot dog for lunch so that i could keep antiquing...i will be back!!
What an incredible place! Such a neat variety of item. Especially great for those into cool and unusual decor, hardware and embellishments.
September 23, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We attended the Fall Saturday Special Show, and we were fortunate to have perfect weather since most vendors operated outdoors. With over 150 unique dealers, strolling through the entire market consumed a couple of hours. Admission was set at $10 per person, an increase from last year. Should you find yourself hungry, there were food vendors readily available. We came across some fascinating discoveries, it felt like a trip down memory lane. Prices seemed a tad high, but haggling was an option. The restroom facilities were notably clean and accessible. Today, my market haul included some vintage $1 and $2 bills. Overall, it made for a pleasant day out.

Amazing venue. Worthy of large venues upwards of 800 people. Highly recommended for large performances. Would love to dj to a large theatre very soon. Let’s goooooooo. Music heads. Make it happen.
Such a great venue! Great volunteers, easy parking and a great location! Saw the Walk Right Back Everly Brothers show and it was first class - energetic with fantastic musicians and a great story! Sound, lighting and seating was perfect! Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a nice walkway along the river. Will come again!
Took my disabled daughter to a concert there & it was an incredible experience! They went above and beyond to help support us, get her comfortable and make sure her needs were taken care of. They were very welcoming & they even managed to switch our seats to a more convenient location due to medical concerns & space. They didn't charge us any extra. It was an incredible experience and everyone was incredibly friendly. Best experience at the RRC!
I saw Tom Morello at River Run this past weekend. It was my first time there. Excellent facility. Helpful staff. The event was flawless and the experience pleasant. It helps that there was lots of parking nearby. Seating was comfortable and the view was great. Acoustics were quite good as well which helps when it’s loud!
Just amazing venue!!! Great staff, From the ushers too the bar tenders, they make sure you are taken care of start to finish. The sound of the bands is top notch due to the incredible sound guys and Crew.
Great acoustics, comfortable seats with a decent amount of room. Staff was kind and helpful. Hope to go there again soon!
Beautiful venue but I found it odd that they scanned your tickets just before you walked into the theater as opposed to in the foyer or the lobby. Like most other soft seat theaters. But it was great. Sound great views. Lovely to see an event there
Great location! Plenty of parking nearby and a variety of restaurants close by in the downtown area. Inside, bright, airy and clean. Staff wear black and white with a vest, sharp! All drinks are poured in to a glass and no drinks allowed inside the auditorium, classy!

If you’re into Guelph history, boy oh boy this is the place for you. The 3rd floor is the main part of the civic museum - lots of detail on how Guelph came to be over the last two centuries. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The second floor (which also connects to the third) is more of a playground, with a somewhat Guelph-centric flavour. Depending on when you visit, there are assorted arts and crafts available as part of exhibits. The second floor also has a “programming room” full of board games and toys of all kinds. There’s a bit of everything for each person in the family. There’s a free unmanned coat check after you pass the admissions desk. Abundant parking.
Lovely place with all the Guelph history and stories you could possibly want. Well organized by floor. If you live in Guelph you should definitely visit. They have an amazing display related to COVID-19 including paintings, writing and a knitted tapestry which I found really cool. There's also a kids-specific exhibit which is great.
Great place for adults! I brought my early teen here, but she didn't really enjoy herself very much. The exhibits aren't very interactive. However, she did enjoy it when I gave her the highlights of what I read. Ideally, if you bring a teen here, you would have read though everything yourself first, and then bring your teen in and point out the interesting pieces. My daughter was also disappointed that there wasn't any science in the museum (except the kids' section). They do have a cute kids' section for young children (8 and under would be the ages my kids would have enjoyed this section). The kids' section has some similarities to the old Ontario Science Center's KidSpark. It has a market with a grocery store that kids can put play food in their carts and drive around. Kids absolutely love that! They were running a camp in the children's section of the Guelph Civic Museum at the time we came, but it wasn't noisy for everyone else. Also, after paying for the tickets for this museum, they gave us 2 free passes to the McCrae House in Guelph! I thoroughly enjoyed the Civic Museum! It tied together pieces of Guelph's history that I didn't understand before. For example, I had never realized that the OVC (which I saw many times listed at College Royal) was one of the 3 colleges that became the University of Guelph. I also found the information about the history of Victor Davis very interesting because there is a pool in Guelph that is named after that man. The Homewood's history is also represented. There is also an art room with interesting pieces. Time: We spent around 1.5 hours there. However, I could easily have spent 2-3 hours there if I read everything, but my teen didn't want to stay that long. Water bottle filling station: Yes. Gift shop: Yes. Food: None. However, there are 4 awesome bakeries nearby; check their hours first though! Killer Cupcakes' Money Cakes and her chocolate cupcakes are out of this world!! Decadently Yours makes some amazing Vanilla Latte cupcakes, and Wellington Cakes makes some incredible, freshly made pecan butter tarts!! Eric the Baker makes a delectable brownie! Washrooms: Yes. Most floors had them. EV charging station: Yes, there is one in the parking lot. Parking: There is a small parking lot with free parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is a wheelchair accessible parking spot and elevators throughout the building.
A charming museum that is situated inside a former Loretto Convent. It showcases the history of Guelph really nicely with charming displays and unique artifacts. Would strongly recommend visiting it when visiting Guelph for a look into the history of the city.
This is a wonderful place to visit. It’s a beautiful old stone building with a glass extension as the entrance and an open stairway. Since it’s located on a hill, the view from the top floor of the glass part has an amazing view of the City of Guelph. I love bringing my kids here to play in the family gallery. It’s so nice to have a fun place for them to play and learn about new things that it so inexpensive. They absolutely LOVE coming here. I highly recommend visiting here if you have kids, or if you would just like to learn about the history of Guelph. It’s a lovely place and a gem right in the centre of Guelph.
The area for families and children is really cool. I recommended this museum for families with little children.
Visited with my family over a Saturday afternoon. It has three floors of artifacts and exhibitions that retrace the history of Guelph. Not a huge museum but definitely worth visiting. The staff is friendly and entry fee very affordable.
It’s my first time to visit Guelph. This museum introduces a very interesting history of Guelph town. It’s nice to bring kids there to get such useful knowledge. Also, there are some facilities for children to discover some fun there. Give it a chance to visit. :)

We love coming here to watch the day fade away. There are lots of seating around the splash pad. Later in the evenings, it isn’t often busy and can be a very calm and quiet space to relax. If you come by car, you might be lucky to find a parking spot near by, otherwise, there is the parkade a few steps away!
Wide open space on an accessible path. I kinda dug it was there October 2024.. they had large lettering 'GUELPH' kinda lit the area up nicely...plus the street was empty.. past midnight! sooo, a nice place to drop yer stuff and just you know unwind and relax.
Open area during the winter with a skating rink, some changing rooms; and Christmas tree right in the middle.
I loved coming here last year the ice was always nicely maintained but this year is the complete opposite. The ice isn’t maintained at all on the weekends except maybe once or twice a day there are holes in the ice and it is almost impossible to skate on. Through the week it is nicely maintained but the weekend staff and evening the ice will not be maintained throughout the day. When asked about cleaning the staff gets upset and ignores multiple requests to clean.
Lovely place for a skate in the winter, with a splash pad in the summer too. There are also some nice restaurants very close by.
Nice ice skating rink in a beautiful place! It has even a warm shelter where to change your skates. We enjoyed nearby restaurants after a morning session here. Will come back!
If you are a visitor in Guelph, what a better place would you find to spend some relaxing time? Splash pad is a great attraction for the kids, and the adults alike in the hot summer day. Lots of seating places around the splash pad makes this place more attractive. This place is very close to Guelph central station. I hope to visit this place in winter to let the children skate
The cement seats are so close to the ice rink. Dangerous. The rink is smaller than some others. Free water fountain, warm change rooms and washrooms. Ice rink in the winter and splash pad in the summer. Recently renovated area with expensive price tag. The walls are so beautiful in the change rooms. Free safe needle disposal in the washrooms. Storage lockers too.

Such a nostalgic, heart-warming museum experience. The reception staff member helped me immensely as I was on a historic mission for my brother in the U.K. I have known about John McCrae and his famous poem since childhood. During my tour, I lived the poem! The monument and garden in the grounds provide a wonderful opportunity to reflect and contemplate a life that was given in service of our country.
Small but important museum telling the life story of famed pathologist and author of Canada's most famous poem. One admission price gets you in here and the Guelph city museum.
Very important historic site as this is the home of Dr. John McCrae who wrote the poem, In Flanders Fields, which was vital in the creation of Remembrance Day on November 11th where the poppies in those field are used as a symbol to remember all the soldiers who died in wars throughout history. Strongly recommend!
Very important part of Canadian history. A proud Canadian moment and informative. Learnt stuff that I don't recall being taught in school.
I was taught at a very young age, in my family home and throughout my years in school to recite the war memorial poem “In Flanders Fields” written by John McCrae. When I approached Mr. McCrae’s home, my heart skipped a beat and I felt tears well up in my eyes. In that moment, I felt honoured being able to visit the birthplace of someone who made history in Canada. I would recommend visiting the home of Mr. McCrae to those who appreciate Canadian history.
First visit today to the John McCrae House museum in Guelph, Ontario. It's a wonderful memorial to a man whose words, penned more than 107 years ago, still resonate today and remind us why we need to never forget the conflicts of the past and heavy prices paid in shedded blood and tears. Thank you for making this monument to this famous surgeon. May he ever rest in peace.
Ive always loved this quiet, quaint, pretty memorial park and house- it's John McMcraes actually birthplace. I particularly love the large bronzed book of the poem "In Flanders Fields" featured in the park. You can purchase poppies in spring to plant in your own garden. Lots of street parking and the beautiful river walking trail is across the road. Easy walk or drive for an icecream at the Boathouse, or a bit farther for restaurants. Down the hill from the University of Guelph.
Small, but fantastic museum in the birthplace of John McCrae. In addition to personal artifacts, the exhibits give more information about McCrae's life besides his time in WWI. I especially enjoyed his sketchbooks. The memorial garden is also lovely to spend some time in.

The Sleeman Centre is an excellent place to see a hockey game. There's not a bad seat in the house, concessions are plentiful and well within reach. All in all a very comfortable venue. Of course, downtown Guelph is always worth visiting.
Will be hosting the 2025 edition of the Grand Slam of Curling Masters; pop in to watch some of the finest battle it out in the roaring game! The Sleeman Centre was an excellent venue to host the Masters! The arena was roomy but I felt close to the action. Great seats! Nice to have curling events within my area.
The Sleeman Centre is a great venue to see a hockey game being downtown in the heart of the city. There is not a bad seat in the building. Our family always enjoys the entertainment if going to the Storm game. The price of alcoholic beverages is way too high like most venues. We always take advantage of the free bus rides to and from the game.
Sleeman Centre is located at 50 Woolwich Street on the East side of the Old Quebec Street Shoppes Mall in downtown Guelph. Sports lovers know it as the home of the Guelph Storm of the Junior Ontario Hockey League and also Cambridge Redhawks. 😃 Do you know why I love to go to the Sleeman Centre? Sleeman Centre is a great place owned and operated by the Royal City in Ontario known as the City of Guelph. Can you believe the many special events held in the centre of Guelph, close to Guelph Central providing bus and train services across Ontario and beyond, bringing people and communities together 😍😃 In addition, there are two parcades providing parking for 1000 cars at reasonable cost, wheelchair accessible and kids friendly. 💘 The seating capacity is over 5000 Apart from catering services furi g the events, access to the restaurants and shopping in the mall is integrated with the Sleeman Centre complex I recommend this place to anybody who wants an enjoyable safe and secure place with or wighout a family and kids. Thank you City of Gurlph 😍😂
Trying to get parking when there's a game (even 30+ mins ealry) is frustrating to say the absolute least. The people working here are pleasant, I have zero complaints about them. The parking in DT Guelph (including the parking garages) though.. awful.
First timers. A beautiful arena! Had lunch at the sleeman and it was delicious. Great seating and the service by Claire was top rate! Thank you so much.
A nice clean facility. Parked in the garage and it brings you right into the arena! Was excellent. Concession stands are right in the rink so you don’t miss any of the action. Seats were comfy with good leg room. And the Storm fans were nice to us visitors as well! Even when the Spits came back to win.
It's great! The Storm store is around the corner down the hall way if your coming in from the Old Quebec Street mall. The center was clean and well maintained though I didn't go to the washrooms. The arena has a great atmosphere and lots of intermission games and prizes and the hockey is fantastic. Game tickets are thirty bucks and it's worth it.

I really like Stone Road Mall! It has a great mix of stores and a nice, clean layout that’s easy to walk through. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s a fun place to shop or just browse around. Whether I’m looking for clothes, essentials, or a quick snack, I can always find what I need. Definitely one of my favourite malls to visit!
Stone Road Mall is a good mall! It includes all the necessities: a food court, clothing stores, electronics, etc. I find it to be very easy to get around, as there are lots of signs and directions. The atmosphere is cozy, and welcoming, and the mall is a great place to browse. Although I do find that it is not quite big enough for being the only mall in Guelph. I feel that they could expand on their second floor, and add new stores. Overall, nice mall though! I do recommend!
One of my favourite shopping as well as best place to spend time with friends in food court here. Love to go for window shopping too.😁
Its been more than a decade since i first set my foot here. Came back there with my family and the mall got bigger. Beautiful Mall❤️
Lovely mall, great stores. Be aware in parking lot. Driveways you think you can turn into lots actually just lead out to the road and in circles you go!
There is a shop at the second entrance with good souvenirs, I really liked it, the price is excellent.
What can I say? It’s the only mall in Guelph! Parking lot is mostly full during the weekend as Canadians indulge in our favourite pastime: shopping! Parking secret for those winter months: go for the free parking garage at the back of the mall. Lots of spaces and it saves you from the cold!
Nice, clean mall with a good selection of stores.

Was clean, so inviting and my nephews had so much fun. Its alot bigger then other ones we have been too
• Size: Medium-Large • Free Wifi: Yes, ask for password at front desk. • Snacks: Good standard selection of chips, drinks, and snacks. Bagels, pizza, coffee, and slushies also available. • Seating: Plenty of comfy couches and chairs throughout, plus a dining area near the front with tables and chairs. • Condition/Cleanliness: Pretty good - shiny clean bathrooms and tidy equipment. Some minor wear here and there (e.g. cracks in pleather couches), and toys from the open toddler area tend to migrate and clutter up nearby floors. • Parking: There's a single row facing the building - we've had trouble finding a good spot on really busy days, but mostly it's fine. • Features: Fun 3-level play apparatus with twisty and wavy slides, unique plasmacar track encircling an enclosed miniature basketball court/soccer room, open toddler area with foamy blocks and assorted oversize toddler toys, tokens/tickets/trinkets-style arcade and amusement games (you'll need cash to buy the tokens), playhouse, pinata area (for birthdays). • Overall: A bright and spacious spot! The track+court centerpiece is the standout feature here, really encourages active play. Relatively quiet and hangoutable for parents.
such a great place to bring your kids! Lots of fun, clean and a great owner!
Nice and clean. It was terrific to find a gym set that our 2 year old could safely enjoy, but that would accommodate both of us playing with her too! We had a blast! Child was thoroughly exhausted. Awesome!
This was our first visit here. My wife and I took our one and a half year old son. First, we were really impressed that you only pay for the children that are playing, and the cost was very reasonable. Second, they have a variety of play equipment for the age ranges they advertise they cater to, and parents are encouraged to play with children. While we were there, there were four birthday parties going on which made things a little chaotic but we were still able to have fun regardless. We didn't take part in the arcade activities or order any food as we were only there for a couple of hours in the morning, but we saw plenty of people taking advantage of it and prices looked reasonable. We will definitely be planning to return in the future. Thanks again for a wonderful time!
Kids had a fantastic time. Impressed on how clean and new everything looks. Lots of room for the kids, as well as seating room for us adults to sit and relax. They also have a good variety of food, as well as very safe in terms of kids not being able to go in and out of the facility which I appreciated. Will visit again soon.
I took my grandkids here today, they are 2 and 4. We had the best time. I believe we stayed for at least 2 hours probably more. Very clean, in fact a young lady wiped down the equipment twice while we played. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices on food, lots of clean table and chairs for us to have a snack on. Can't wait to go back again.
We had a birthday party there. Sure the place is fun, but when the worker takes her boyfriend behind the counter and makes out with him at a kids place, and no security (at all), kids could run out without the parents. Someone could easily take your kid out. Not impressed.

Visiting the Guelph Public Library was a fantastic experience. The quiet, welcoming environment is perfect for studying or simply enjoying a good book. The library has an extensive collection of books and digital resources, catering to various interests and needs. The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist, making it easy to find what I was looking for. The comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi made my visit even more convenient and enjoyable. Whether you need a peaceful space to study or want to explore new reading materials, the Guelph Public Library is a great place to visit! 👍👍👍
Children's library upstairs is great as always. Nice cool air conditioning, and lots to keep kids occupied, it's a perfect summer afternoon activity (and it's free!)
Wonderful children’s library downtown! We’ve been to a few baby/children’s programs and look forward to going to more with our little one… and it’s a convenient location!
Paid parking at a library is a new concept for me. $1 an hour, definitely on the cheap side of paid parking but annoying. Still managed to get my work done besides that so it wasn’t a huge deal.
Wide collections of books. Internet access and amble place to sit and just read until 8:00 PM. Free membership if you have a photo ID with address in Guelph. Furthermore, do have facility to take prints at a cost. Great deal, go ahead become a member.
There are lots of books to bring home and read. Helpful staff, a great selection, and love the kid's programs
Seems a bit Run down, I'm sure it was nice back in the 80s. Guelph probably is short of funds to fix it like like every other town and city does with their libraries.
A great resource in our downtown community. The staff are very helpful and so friendly.

We came here a few weeks ago with the Guelph Beer Bus and had a great experience. The guests were provided a tour and our guide did an excellent job. The staff were great and friendly. They have a lovely patio to sit and enjoy your beer. We have always enjoyed Wellington beers so made sure to taste a few beers and purchased a case on the way out.
One of my favorites in Canada, and the home brewery for my Canadian best friend. Solid range of quality craft beer, with plenty of award hardware to show for it. The food options were on the small side, but straight from their deli. The best deals to-go. Fan of the Welly boot integration ☂️
I was very happy to find that they had a cheese curd flight! It was a very fun surprise - the smoky cheese curds were my favourite and it was nice to have the option to dip in honey. They also had a wide variety of drink options!
Loved it!! Great indoor room and outside patio. Our server was exceptional. I loved the "food" menu...as prices were not unreasonable at all and they had a GREAT selection of various snack foods....so many places offer so little variety but not here. The sausage on a bun was superb. We had the welly imperial stout and it was the absolute best! I'd guess this will be my favorite brew of the year. If I lived closer I'd be here once a week! This place tries hard to be a fun destination and they succeed. Great job everyone!
Really friendly staff and good beer! They have a large patio (only downer is it faces the road) seating inside with lots of board games to play. They had Helles beer as specialty beer on tap which was super great (mango and pineapple flavours 🤤). A pint is $9.60 (w/ tax) came on a weeknight and it was pretty dead. I’ll be back again!
A wide range of good beers to please most people, my current favourite being the Black Knight Porter. Their home delivery in the local area is a great service. Once in a while though, even they can make a mistake, which is sorted quickly, cheerfully and generously. An exemplary business in every way.
I've always been a fan of Wellington beer, so l was stoked to finally visit the brewery. Cool store when you first walk in. I left with a nice glass and some beer and the merch is really cool along with the discs they sell for disc golf! We went for lunch so there weren't many food options other than snacks, so we got some Grilled Brie Cheese Sandwiches which were fine, I mean, Brie is always amazing, but it was just missing something whether it was honey and nuts, cranberry sauce, ketchup etc. The beer was great as expected. We all got flights and enjoyed all of our drinks. Favourites included the Crispy Forever,, S.P.A., and Helles Lager. Fair prices here and a nice atmosphere. Our server was soooo nice too, she heard that I was skeptical on trying the County Brown Ale so she so kindly brought me a little sample to try during our tasting! I'm not big on porters/ stouts and can be picky with dark brown ales, but I very much enjoyed this one, so thank you for the taster! Will be back in the summer hopefully :)
I enjoy low alcohol brews and went online to order “Boot Lite” I had shipping questions/concerns so I phoned in. Taylor in Guelph was seriously professional on the phone lines. I had some of the most thorough, honest and considerate assistance I’ve gotten on a phone call in ages. -Excellent staff! -Cheers!

Stopped in while in town with friends for an event. We sat in the smaller beer hall for beer and food.  The service was great. We had a few samples before choosing a couple of beers. The chicken tacos and pretzels were delicious.
Amazing atmosphere, very friendly staff, delicious food and one of the best craft beers around. Even though we live an hour away we try to visit at least once a month. Worth the drive.
A really fun beer hall! Great place to grab lunch and a drink. Good selection of drinks, and they have great sandwiches! Our group had a mix of meat eaters + vegetarians and everyone got something delicious to eat - the halloumi or chicken sandwiches are my recommendation!
The atmosphere is wide, open and modern, the beer is delicious in particular the cream ale for me. The Brewers willingness to donate product to an independent film shoot, and contribute to local community and arts, is heartwarming: but my favourite part about Royal City Brewing is the way that they work local history and lore into their brewing and labels. Their love of their city, as well as their love of the craft brewing, is evident in every sip
Pretty good selection of beers. Menu was fairly small but what they offer seems like a good value. I had the Haloumi sandwich, and my wife had the Shawarma Cauliflower. Both were very good. Only downsides is it's quite loud inside (lots of glass and brick) and parking may be an issue but we went on a Sunday when the other businesses were closed so it wasn't an issue for us.
Good selection of beers to cater to a wide range of tastes, some wonderful food items (Probably the best hotdog I have ever eaten) and friendly wait staff combines with a nice patio. The bottle shop offers a 10% discount if you show your receipt from the main brewpub and they even have a dog beer!
First time at Royal City Brewery. Service was great and the space in there is quite nice and laid back. The Bootleg Cream Ale and the 100 Steps Stout were both absolutely top notch pints. We ordered the warm pretzels which were fantastic, but the Royale Fried Chicken Schnitzel was dry and lacking in flavour/savouriness. Not a great flavour profile and overall, something was missing from it. Besides that, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back for more beer and possibly the pretzels as well!
We had an amazing experience having our wedding reception here. Jordyn and Kristian were excellent to work with for planning the event and were organized and attuned to every detail. They were very attentive to our inquiries and quick to respond to questions. Carly, Kyle, and the other staff were extremely helpful and kind during the day with set-up. Chef made delicious food that everyone loved and raved about. We brought our own cake and Chef plated it beautifully for service with a impromptu strawberry compote (to go with the strawberry cake) which was so nice and unexpected. We had quite a few dietary restrictions and allergies to work around which the team did a fantastic job at navigating. The event servers and bartenders were excellent and professional. Their event photographer Weldon did an excellent job at capturing our decor in the space and the people we love mingling. All the staff truly made our day feel seamless and worry free. We cannot stress enough how kind and lovely the entire team was to work with. We would highly recommend having a large event such as a wedding at the brewery!
