I visited Bridal Falls on New Year's Day to start the year with some peace and quiet, and it was the perfect choice. I was looking for a calm place to enjoy nature, and this spot gave me exactly what I needed. The drive there was beautiful. Even before I reached the falls, I felt a sense of calm as I took in the peaceful surroundings. When I arrived, Bridal Falls was as stunning as I hoped. The water was flowing strongly, falling down in a powerful display of nature’s beauty. Even though it was winter, the falls were still impressive. The cold, fresh air mixed with the sound of the water and the wind through the trees created a peaceful, almost calming atmosphere. I spent a lot of time just standing there, enjoying the moment and the quiet beauty around me. What I loved most about the place was how it helped me slow down and relax. With so much going on in everyday life, it's easy to forget how important it is to take a break and connect with nature. Bridal Falls was the perfect place to reflect and recharge for the year ahead. Overall, the experience was refreshing and peaceful, and I left feeling calm and ready for the year. I highly recommend Bridal Falls to anyone looking for a quiet place to escape or simply enjoy the beauty of nature. It’s a great spot for reflection, a hike, or just taking in the surroundings. It was a great way to start the year with a positive, relaxed mindset.
bridal Falls comes up in things to see in the area and we have noticed it used in some Canadian filmed shows so decided to explore. We went on a misty morning on a Wednesday in December thinking we’d be the only tourist types going in the rain but there were small groups of people coming and going. There really isn’t anywhere to park but a road edge and it is a fairly steep hike for 15 minutes up to the falls. Very scenic area and a beautiful falls.
Went there in the morning for a short walk during weekend with friends. Better be there early on weekends to get parking spot. Trails available and going up to the right you will able to see the amazing Bridal Veil Falls. Their Picnic area, tables and pit washrooms are better than Shannon Falls. Although these parks have their own must see great views. Dog friendly on leash park and trail but didn’t see any playground for children.
Beautiful waterfalls conveniently near highway 1. The short hike is worth it. But i hope they place more direction signs. It may be a short trail, but we still got a bit lost as there were 2 intertwined trails. Parking can be full, so a little bit of patience is needed even on a not so busy day.
Are you getting sleepy on a long commute? If yes, then here is a quick little hike to get the blood flowing and wake you up. Trail will take you about 15 minutes hike to the top, and the waterfall waters are good for a quick cold shower (if you choose to ignore the signs and hike the rest of the way up). It is worth a stop 100%
The trails and paths are extremely well maintained and clearly marked. The viewing area at the waterfall has a taped off area to prevent people from climbing up to the falls, but someone cut the tape. Beautiful picnic spots near the parking area with plenty of restrooms close by. The picnic tables are right next to a small stream which is incredibly peaceful to listen to. I would imagine the place gets very busy in the sunny months though. This was an amazing morning trip from Abbotsford.
Wonderful place for a short (uphill) hike to the falls. There are two trails up -- one is steeper and shorter. We took that one up and then the longer, less steep one back (has some stairs). Other trails as well for longer hikes.
the walk is steep in some places, but not incredibly difficult if you have no physical barriers. Some slopes are about 30*+ and you feel it. The view is worth it. There are two paths up, the short one from the parking lot has the steepest slopes. The other one has some stairs to help.

Haven't been here since I was 11 years old. Great to visit with my 11 year old son and his best friend. Slides are super fun! It's great that you can bring your own tent and outside food from home. The ice cream was insane! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the line ups were manageable. The best part? Absolutely fantastic value! Get the water park and adventure park pass for less than $50 each. All day fun for cheap! We will return for sure. We went on a Thursday so it wasn't as busy. Love it!
I really enjoyed the place — the park is fantastic! It’s a great space for both adults and children to spend time, relax, enjoy the fresh air, and unwind. That said, there were a couple of things that slightly took away from the overall experience. First, the staff. I wish they were more friendly and engaged. It was rare to see anyone smile or show interest. It often felt like the younger staff members saw themselves as being “in charge” and behaved in a somewhat condescending or superior way. That kind of attitude isn’t very welcoming and doesn’t encourage return visits. If the staff were more open and positive in their interactions, I would happily give this place five stars. Secondly, the food at the food court was underwhelming. Some of the vegetables looked like they had wilted long before they made it to my plate. The tomatoes, for example, were completely inedible — I couldn’t even manage to eat them. On a positive note, though, the poutine was delicious — so thank you for that!
A excellent Waterpark located just a hour across the Canadian boarder from Washington State. The Staff was outstanding, very helpful and and friendly. A great variety of water slides. Lots of splash areas for the young ones. The area was so clean. There is plenty of parking ( They do charge a fee) really enjoyed everything they offered
Fun-Filled Family Day at Cultus Lake Waterpark! We visited Cultus Lake Waterpark last Saturday with the whole family, and it was an absolute blast! The kids (and adults!) had an unforgettable time. The park offers a fantastic variety of rides suitable for both children and adults, ensuring everyone finds something to enjoy. The highlight of our day was the colossal canyon - grabbing a four-person tube and navigating the twists and turns was thrilling and had us all laughing like crazy! There are plenty of picnic table areas throughout the park, perfect for setting up a home base to relax and eat. We also loved discovering the hot tubs scattered around—see if you can find them all for a relaxing break between rides! A few things to note: There’s a bag check at the entrance, and open bottles will be emptied, so plan accordingly. Also, once you enter, there’s no re-entry, so make sure to bring all your essentials with you. Overall, Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic spot for a family outing. With exciting rides, great amenities, and plenty of fun, we can’t wait to return!
Cultus Lake Waterpark is considered as one of the best in British Columbia. It's only a couple of hours away from Downtown Vancouver or about an hour away from Surrey. The drive to this place is wonderful. The rides are amazing and for most rides you don't need to be a swimmer. There are lifeguards watching you from everywhere so you're pretty safe. Beware: some rides do need you to be an expert swimmer. Please buy your tickets in advance as on weekends they are mostly sold out. You can carry your tents, umbrellas, mats, wagons full of food and drinks, etc. They have a ground which can be used for having a picnic. You can get lockers there to store valuable belongings. As for parking, you get two options - free parking at the back of the park (unsupervised), and paid parking ($10 for the day) in front of the park. You can check their website for all the good things you get. It's well written over there. A must go with friends or with family.
The park has a great, fun, and family-friendly atmosphere. Lots of slides and activities for kids, and the whole place is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and make you feel safe. ✅ Pros: • A wide variety of slides for all ages • Clean, family-oriented environment • Helpful and polite staff ❌ Main downside: They don’t limit ticket sales, so it gets overcrowded. We had to spend most of our day standing in long lines. It would be much better if they controlled the number of visitors.
Fantastic park! Layout makes everything accessible. Also a ton of fun slides/rides for teens and adults. Since it was a bit cloudy, it wasn't as busy as I feel it would be if it was sunny. We were able to get a covered table and that made a different compared to being on the grass (as we didn't prepare for that). Staff was friendly and helpful. I honestly enjoyed all the slides and raft rides. Price was $40 CAD (I'm from California) and I felt that was about right. Food is always pricey, but there is an option to bring in sealed food. I did buy "Valley of fries" which was like $12. Also there is a coffee/expresso/frappe' bar too. Valley of Fear, Speed Slide and Freefall were awesome. Again, honestly impressed with all the slides. And if it is a bit cold at 1st, there are hot tubs dotted throughout the park! My kids enjoyed immensely.
Such an amazing waterpark!! The best I’ve been to in BC. It’s got a whole bunch of slides ranging from easy to difficult, and ones for all ages. The lineups aren’t terrible, they seem to cap attendance at the right number to keep everything flowing smoothly in the park. There is food available and it’s not too expensive. I recommend the fish and chips, it is excellent! Don’t fear if it’s raining, you will still have a blast at the waterpark because the lines will be shorter, and there are hot tubs everywhere. I’ve been here on a rainy day before and it was one of my favourite days in the park. You can’t beat a sunny day though, even with the longer lines! Highly recommend checking out this waterpark, you will not be disappointed!

I love that this nature reserve is so well kept up! So many herons were seen on our walk today, plus so many other different types of birds. We will definitely be back several times throughout the year ❤️
One of our favorite walking places. Changes with the seasons. No admission fees. A variety of trails, viewing blinds. Always see wildlife, from birds, squirrels, and rabbits, to herons, spawning salmon, migrating waterfowl. Very nice building with displays and gift shop. Run by volunteers.
Walked all of the trails with my partner. I personally haven't been here since I was a kid so it was very nostalgic! Gorgeous adventure!
Absolutely beautiful little piece of nature. Nice visitor center. Well maintained, easy trails with plenty of spots to sit the sights and sounds. Definitely worth the visit.
Quiet nature reserve. Has a lot of ducks and herons. There are a few blinds to watch birds without disturbing them. We like to visit when we are in the vicinity. The two closed-loop trails are ready to walk. Reach time we went, we saw various birds like hawks and herons in addition to ducks... So many ducks. The visitor centre is staffed by very friendly people. One can get up close with The taxidermy to check out details. We encountered more birds walking the trail along the north lagoon. But the trail around the south lagoon is longer and has a wider variety of flora and a high watch tower. We like them both.
Nice place to walk around and spot some wildlife, even a flat footed rhino like me can walk right up to some rabbits, snakes, woodpeckers and herons.
Beautiful park year round for walking, enjoying nature, and bird watching. Well kept and the volunteers are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this park in all seasons too. Some of the nesting area trails are closed from March for a bit but otherwise it’s open year round. So relaxing.
Wonderful nature reserve! The river has very clear water. As a birder, there are many beautiful birds as well. Great place for hikers and photographers!

Was a great experience esp for the little ones!! Reasonable pricing and free parking with in and out privileges. It was easy to visit. We will definitely be back! Ps most of the food was sold-out. We had to dine elsewhere.
This place is perfect for kids 5 and under. Adults and everyone else, it's s just a kiddie pool. All the slides were closed minus two very small kid slides. On the plus side it was not busy at all. Hot tub was perfect temp. Staff was friendly and helpful.
We recently visited Bridal Falls Waterpark hoping to support a local business, but the experience was shocking and unacceptable. The tube slide is still closed, yet patrons are charged full admission. The website claimed all body slides were open, which was the main reason we went. When we arrived, my children lined up for the body slides only for me to notice there was no water running. I asked a lifeguard, and he casually said they were still doing repairs and waiting for them to set, which would take at least 30 minutes. That 30 minutes quietly turned into over 2.5 hours without any announcement over the PA system or notification to guests. Opening times for the body slides kept changing constantly. Guests were asking lifeguards every few minutes for updates, but the staff were evasive and unhelpful. Management in the office was rude, dismissive, and unapologetic about the delays. No announcements were made to inform anyone about the situation. The lifeguards were completely unprofessional. They allowed people to linger and sit in front of the body slides, even occupying platforms marked “Lifeguard Only.” The fundamental rule of clearing the pool as soon as people exit the slides was ignored. One child accidentally splashed a lifeguard while exiting the water, and the lifeguard yelled at the child. These lifeguards behave like a mean-girls or mean-boys gang rather than professionals. They should be fired immediately and replaced with mature lifeguards who understand their responsibility to keep guests safe. Why are repairs being done while the park is open? Considering the serious injuries that happened on the tube slide last year, this raises severe concerns about the park’s overall safety practices. Charging full price when most attractions are unavailable is unacceptable. The ongoing repairs during operating hours are a blatant safety hazard, and Technical Safety BC should flag this immediately. The park needs more inspections and stricter oversight. While my children waited at the top of the hill for the body slides, no lifeguard was present to tell them the slides were closed. I had to personally tell a lifeguard to go up and notify the kids. This is a dangerous oversight. What if a child had gone down a slide under repair? Unsupervised slides are an accident waiting to happen. Many families, including ours, drive out here every year with the intention of supporting a local business. After the horrific accident last year in which people were seriously injured, we were hesitant but gave the park the benefit of the doubt. That trust has been completely undermined by this visit. The combination of ongoing repairs during park hours, unprofessional and inattentive staff, misleading advertising, and rude management makes this park unsafe and unreliable. Management needs to take immediate action. Lifeguards must understand that their job is to protect guests, not socialize or act like they are above the rules. Until serious safety and staffing issues are addressed, I cannot recommend this park to anyone. Cultus Lake offers a far superior experience and much better value for the price. (*See photos)
We absolutely loved this place! The staff were so warm and friendly, and they made sure my kids were having the best time. Even though the tube slide was closed, there were still plenty of activities to keep us all entertained throughout the day. I have to mention one blonde staff member in particular who was amazing with the kids on the slides she really went out of her way to make the experience extra special for the little ones. I truly appreciated how much effort they put into making the day enjoyable for everyone!
This is a pretty fun water park. It is good for most people. Even for little kids, they can still enjoy the enfant safe part. The slides are fast when you lay down and slow when you sit up. There a little wait to go on the bigger slide. Even the people that only come in the park and not play need to pay the full price too. But overall a good experience.
Went for the first time great for families with smaller kids. There were no stairs and the park is relatively small keeping it easy to keep track of little ones. The slides do enough of thrill for the kids to enjoy but not as big and spread out as cultas. The food was ok but the time to prep the food was too long especially for a bit so busy day. We went when the tube slide was not open so that was a bit of a disappointment however the website was clear in stating and sharing the information so I appreciated the communication. Overall was a good day and a place I would like to come again.
Honestly, for what it is, it's perfect. Smaller slides but you can sit in the hot tub and see your kids the whole time. Nostalgic candy shop, good tunes playing, much more chill than Cultus Lake. We had a lovely afternoon there. Buying tickets online is a bit cheaper (but you have to buy before 10am for same day tickets). We did the half day (late afternoon) and it was great.
The rapid river is the prime draw for my family. The other four main slides are okay, but the time in lineups compared to actual slide time is not terribly good. Long lines on the river, however, go quickly and the time on the river is a quasi-dangerous hoot! There's also a good amount of space to set up day camp and the scenery around the park is second to none.

Everyone was super nice. Even though we were late by a whole 45 minutes due to insane construction on the way, they were more than happy to serve us. The sweetest people, a great experience and really lovely tea!
We were there at a Saturday afternoon being told not much food left on the menu. I do not know is this often happening in a busy afternoon or not ?? But still a Lovely tea house, yummy food and friendly staffs. Different experience in Canada to taste British food and a lot vintage items in their museum. Reservations needed if you want to have their high tea.
We had British High Tea to mark the Coronation. Everything was very good! Loved the variety. Beautiful tea service. Enjoyed viewing the attached museum and picking up a few essentials at the store. Our first time...but not our last!
Great selection of teas and teaware paired with knowledgeable staff. I'll definitely be back!
I love this place its amazing when I lived in chilliwack I loved coming here and when I visit I try to come here when I can ♡ it's really great atmosphere, the food and goods are very reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable I always learn something new about England when I there and I always have a lot of fun, try the high tea for sure as most high teas in vancouver and stuff are like 30- 40 $ per person so for 13-15$ person it's a steal and leaves you with money to buy pastries teas and uk sweets afterwards ♡ they also always have special high teas and meals each month so theres always something new to eat there ♡
Great spot for high tea. Easy to book, great pricing, great service. Nostalgic for people!!
There. Is. So. Much. To. See. AND there's lovely dine in food service available if you fancy some high tea or classic British far. A must visit for any tourist or for those just feeling nostalgic for all things British. You definitely won't be disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. So many places along side the river to just put up a tent and camp. Love it
Great trail for the whole family. Not very long but for the more adventurous there are some side trails.
Awesome scenery....right by the river, obviously....BUT POT HOLES galore. Taking a Toyota Matrix was no fun. Time to sell this car for a 4x4
Vert beautiful provincial park. There are also some of campgrounds here.
It's a small park but they have rehabilitated an old salmon spawning stream putting it back to what it was before we humans put our footprint on it. It has very refreshing easy to walk hiking trails through the forest and sign boards explaining different highlights along the way.
Chipmunk Creek ATV riding was great but alot of heights involved and not particularly wide paths. But there are several at the base that are at ground level and the river/rapids stretch a great length next to the trails and there is even a small spot where it 'looks like' u could take your machine across the creek...we will be testing that out the next time we go back! Beautiful views everywhere you go
Great facilities and beautiful trails.

We had a fantastic time there on the water! The weather was perfect and our friend's place in the residential area was a few steps from the lake. If you go, definitely recommend you to book a place in advance. Be prepared to pay though during peak season. The water was cool because the weather just started to warm back up. But with a few days of higher temperatures, it'll definitely be warmer. The scenery is picturesque, and the water is very calm. Even with some speed boaters around, you'll have a great time kayaking and pedalboarding!
Cultus Lake is a beautiful spot in Chilliwack! The crystal clear water, stunning scenery and there’s also so much to do such as swimming (of course not in winter), kayaking, hiking, or just relaxing by the lake. It’s clean, peaceful, and perfect for a day out with family or friends.
It's a beautiful well keep provincial park. One of the best parks so closed to the city. The big parking lot is just next to the big lawn. It's really good for the families with seniors and little kids. It's a quiet park on weekdays. You just need to bring your picnic, tables, chairs, canoe, paddle board and life jacket if you go there in summer. The lake is big enough for people enjoying the water sport. Hopefully, they will add more bathrooms there since it is super busy in summer. The parking will be a big problem in summer.
In love with this beautiful lake; so peaceful and charming. Not over crowded at all. Enjoyed some quality time with family; views were amazing. You must drive to the village and houses on top;
Cultus Lake is a popular destination near Vancouver, offering a variety of activities for visitors. Here's a summary of what you can expect: * Outdoor activities: Cultus Lake Park is a great place for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking. The lake is known for its warm water, making it a popular spot for swimming in the summer. * Waterpark: Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fun option for families and thrill-seekers. The waterpark features a variety of slides, pools, and a lazy river. * Relaxation: The area around Cultus Lake is also home to a number of resorts and cabins, offering a chance to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Overall, Cultus Lake is a great place to visit for a day trip or a weekend getaway. With its variety of activities and beautiful setting, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
What a beautiful location!!! Plenty of room for large gatherings/families. Clean, sandy beaches. Lots of picnic tables and shaded areas. Plenty of parking. Stunning scenery. Local shops and amenities, huge theme park for children (? And adults). Great way to spend a day outdoors soaking up the sunshine!!
Beautiful lake and provincial park, is often very busy and in the summer full to capacity. Great spot to kayak early in the morning or evenings as there is less boats on the water. There is also some wonderful restaurants in the area as well, and it’s a Great Lake for swimming.
Water was very warm, great place to float around in a tube and take in the sun. The parking is ridiculously priced at main beach and just as busy. Entrance bay is where it’s at. Free parking, but be there before 10 if you don’t want to fight for a spot. Entrance bay has a steep grade so you can’t wade out as far. But it’s great for floating. I would say main beach would be best for people with small children with the big park and big flat area in the water.

Absolutely beautiful & quiet. Went on weekday and wasn’t busy at all. Road up to the lake & campground is pretty rough and snowy, would definitely recommend 4x4. With temperatures dropping, there’s black ice too, risk of vehicle skidding, just be careful. Views are absolutely worth it.
One of the best kept secrets. You would need an suv or a vehicle with good ground clearance to reach this location. The last 10 kms to this location is gravel road and the last 3 kms is completely bad. A good spot for camping or spending a day.
A hidden gem in Fraser valley. The views are absolutely stunning, it’s great for fishing camping. It was very peaceful not crowded. Road to the lake can be rough so I would recommend 4x4 vehicles. It’s a peaceful, off-the-grid spot—just be sure to pack out what you pack in.
*TRIGGER WARNING* This is an amazingly beautiful lake to fish on and camp next to, and I’ve loved coming up here for years. Unfortunately there has been an abundance of misuse of the land with trash being left behind and dead stumps and drift wood being burnt on the shore that left me shocked when I went up yesterday night for a one-nighter. There were also plenty of people playing music at high volume until the late hours of the night having no consideration for others. If we don’t treat each other and the land with respect it won’t be usable anymore. Camping courtesy reminder: Please don’t start setting up your tent within proximity of others when they have already found their spot and are trying to sleep. I know it’s a free for all and nobody is paying, but it’s pretty rude to arrive after dark and set up for camp right next to ours, when we don’t know you. In my opinion, completely disrespectful.
Its beautiful nice Beach very Calm..But Yogurt will be Lassi That kind Road Is.. Need 4x4 with High Clearance. Pregnant Ladies Stay Away.. Dharan Paon wali Sadak a
Awesome Location. Drive with 4x4 Suv's in Bad Weather Conditions otherwise in good weather you drive with 2 wheel drive car also. But with 2 wheel drive car you need to drive with extra care we also go with our Camry. If you have 4x4 that's good. Drive safe Thanks
Omg our first time there and it was like we were in another country..it was breath taking so beautiful..water was to cold to swim but it truly was beautiful...the roads were to rough unfortunately!
i went when the water level was pretty low, posted up right on the beach with the crowds. fairly busy and popular lake, be prepared for that, however the lake itself is beautiful even if its filled with deadheads. the mountains are phenomenal. everyone says 4x4 and clearance, but my little trucks 4x4 doesnt work and i made it up fine, aswell as the mercedes, civic and tesla model 3 i saw coming down. would i recommend offroading a car? no. ^clearance helps, 4x4 maybe if its muddy but i was fine.

The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is a fantastic gem in the heart of Chilliwack! The facility is modern, clean, and well-maintained, with excellent events, shows, and concerts happening year-round. From theatre and music to local art exhibits, there’s always something worth seeing. It’s close to downtown, and there’s lots of parking, which makes going to concerts easy. We went for a performance and also checking out the art gallery. This centre is a real asset to the community. Highly recommend checking it out!
First time to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, and I was favorably impressed. The building is impressive and the design completely appropriate for an artsy venue. An expansive foyer makes it feel upscale and classy. There was an abundance of helpful and friendly staff around on the evening we attended the PMJ performance. Seating was OK, but a wee bit tight for a big guy like me. Chilliwack residents should be proud to have a venue such as this. I'll happily return for any performance that may come up in the future.
Such a gift to the local community. Well managed and run. Great communication. Wonderful and welcoming staff. Comfortable seating. Every time I go, I’m impressed just a little more. Most recently was here for Chris Hadfield and it was a 5 star event (and then some).
Excellent venue! The theatre is small enough to enjoy a more intimate experience but still large enough to accommodate many guests. Bathrooms are bright and clean. Lots of local and indigenous art pieces on display ( and for sale) to view while waiting.
Saw Afrique en Cirque last night. Great show and Chilliwack Cultural Centre always has great shows/events on offer. We watch for upcoming things and have enjoyed everything attended. #Recommend
Fantastic show! Talented musicians. The candles bring a very unique ambiance and make the music even nicer, smoother and so enjoyable! 😊
The concert in the round was new to me, and it meant that the first/lead violinist had his back to us throughout the concert. Nevertheless it was as enjoyable as the Listeso String Quartet always is, especially with Vivaldi. The instrumentalists continue to be amazing!
ABBA tribute string section very nice time .

Moderate hike with some steep climbs through the forest to a summit viewpoint overlooking a valley.

The Elk Thurston trail is a challenging 17-kilometer (10.6-mile) out-and-back hike with an elevation gain of 1,175 meters (3,855 feet) near Chilliwack, British Columbia. It offers stunning views of the Fraser Valley and surrounding mountains. There is a designated parking area at the trailhead, which can get crowded on weekends. The hike can be split into two sections: * The ascent to Elk Mountain: This is a steep 5.1-kilometer (3.2-mile) climb through the forest with an elevation gain of 810 meters (2,650 feet). The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow. * The onward trek to Thurston Peak: This is a less traveled 4-kilometer (2.5-mile) section with some elevation gain and loss along a ridge with exposed rock sections. Microspikes are recommended for snowy conditions. The views from Thurston Peak are even more spectacular than those from Elk Mountain. Overall, the Elk Thurston trail is a great option for experienced hikers who are looking for a challenge. Just be sure to be prepared for the weather conditions and to bring plenty of water and snacks.
A stunning summer hike to the top. It's worth the effort to see the beautiful wildflowers. Yes, challenging but absolutely doable. Poles help, bring extra water, snacks and something warm for the top! It's cooler up in the clouds!
Love the hike. Pretty steep at some places but worth it. The views are incredible. It took us 4.5 hours for round trip.
Elk Mountain is by far the best trail I’ve ever hiked around Vancouver. The trail starts with a gentle slope, which is great for warming up, but be prepared—the incline gets steep and challenging toward the top. The panoramic view from the summit is absolutely breathtaking, overlooking all of Chilliwack and the surrounding mountain ranges. A must-do!
Fun little hike with a decent grade and a well groomed path. The roadway up to the parking lot is not in the best shape at this time but it can still be navigated with a small car. There is a lookout with a rocky outcropping about 1km before the peak. The last 3rd of the hike is pretty steadily up hill. There is a washroom at the peak and a washroom at the base by the parking lot. We saw quite a few people packed for overnight hikes in the area. It took us about an hour and 40 to the top with a few minute stop at the first lookout. And then about an hour and 15 down (I have a harder time going down that up because of knee injuries).
First ever hike up a mountain and it was a tremendous experience, did the hike with just my shorts which is a regret after reaching the peak because it was snowy and called up there😂 There is space for parking vehicles and the trail itself is not that hard to the peak, took us 4hrs up and down in total and the view at the top was well worth the effort. The peak was 1432m high and it was an amazing experience, had to dig deep because being a smoker it wasn't easy especially since it was my first ever mountain. Definitely would recommend!
I did the Elk Mountain hike a week ago with a couple buddies. As hikes go, this one is technically very simply. No rocky sections, no exposure, nothing. Mostly just a ramp through the woods - which can be steep, but nothing needing a rope. For a straightforward hike, you can achieve excellent views - depending on clouds. Well maintained with washrooms at bottom and top. Parking lot is accessible with 2w drive low riding vehicle - though you will have to dodge some potholes on the last 500m. There were virtually no bugs when I was there.
Love the hike. Pretty steep at some places but worth it. The views are incredible. It took us 3.5 hours for round trip.

An excellent facility that appears to allow for a wide variety of uses. It is incredibly spacious inside, allowing for large events. Garage doors can easily be opened and closed, allowing for separation between different areas, and separation between the outdoors and indoors. There is ample parking available outside, some of it on pavement and some gravel. The facility is incredibly easy to get to from Highway 1, it’s right beside it. There are good washrooms inside which are kept in excellent condition. Everyone in the area seems to know this facility, it sure stands out from the highway being a giant red barn. An outstanding facility overall!
This is a great facility to fit big events for. I had the opportunity to come to the Fraser Valley Flea Market and see what was in store. There were countless tables selling unique items like hand-crated jewelery, funny decor (like wacky rotary phones and Halloween decorations), trading cards including Pokémon and Sports, and homemade baked goods. There is just so much o look and something to buy for yourself or closed one. I look forward to coming to their Christmas Gifts event.
Doing 4 days of dog shows. The building is clean and well cared for. Lots of grassy areas and plenty of parking.
The Vintage Market was amazing. There was a good variety of vintage toys, clothes and other paranielia. Plus there were other vendors getting a start on Christmas. Heritage Park Building is very as spacious. As well as the Vintage Market going there was the Rotary Book sale going on to.
Amazing venue! If there is an event that you’re interested in, and it’s being held at the Big Barn, GO GO GO!!! Every kind of craft/home/decor/hobby/enthusiast event ever imagined has been held here, the arenas are home to amazing horse events and everything from BMX to motocross and R/C racing is held within these hallowed walls as well!
Absolutely FABULOUS dayat Heritage Park in Chilliwack. GMA and I cheering my son Christopher on in the Mud Races!! Great facility with friendly and helpful staff, clean washrooms, and great food!! Wish we could have stayed All weekend 😎😎
Fabulous very large and super clean facility perfect for a dog show! One of the nicest indoor facilities I have had the pleasure to show our dogs in!
Great place to have a show of any kind , lots of parking. Easy freeway access.

Really nice park and wetlands with some easy family friendly trails. Lots of information signs about the area and it's history. Definitely worth checking out we've been back multiple times. Great views of the mountains and wetlands for photos.
After visiting Bridal Veil Falls, this is less than a 15 min drive away. Surprisingly very little foot traffic, this place offers a serene tranquillity. It was a nice day and the walk around was lovely.
A quiet place to go for a walk. No dogs allowed, no boating at all, no fishing, so not a place people go for that sort of thing. Good nature walks - on this visit we saw rabbits, young turtles (2-3 inch shells) several frogs, birds, lots of dragonflies.
Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park is a hidden gem that offers a serene and picturesque escape into nature. The park is beautifully maintained, with well-marked trails that meander through lush wetlands, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and diverse wildlife. One of the highlights of Cheam Lake Wetlands is the abundant birdlife. It's a birdwatcher's paradise, with many species to spot throughout the year. The observation decks and benches along the trails provide perfect spots to sit and enjoy the peaceful scenery. The park's facilities are excellent, with clean restrooms, ample parking, and informative signage that enhances the visitor experience. The trails are accessible and suitable for all ages, making it a fantastic destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and photographers alike. Overall, Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park is a tranquil haven that offers a delightful retreat into nature. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing walk, a family outing, or simply to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the wetlands. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors!
Beautiful quiet wetlands with gorgeous views and trails. The entire area is full of bird song, and they're currently trying to revive the painted turtles in the area. I sadly didn't spot any. Lots of parking available, as well as bathrooms, and picnic benches.
Beautiful scenery with the wetland and mountains all around... if I lived close by, this would be my secret place to hide when I need to be alone. So relaxing to be immersed in the natural beauty of creation - this place is better than any massage! The lookout is a great place to stop for photos or just to enjoy the view, with Bridal Veil Falls visible straight ahead. Trails are gravel and well kept so it's not a difficult hike. (Perhaps I should add that my opinion may be a little biased - I find any place with mountains spectacular since I'm from Ontario and don't see them every day :)
Wonderful fall day for a picnic at the wetland. Loved watching the birds; widgeon, bald eagle, trumpeter swan, coots, merganser plus many more. I am disabled and it is wonderful to be able to park in the parking lot right beside the picnic tables right beside the wetland so you can see a lot without walking very much.
The day we went was hazy due to the wildfair. Suppose nicer in a clear day. Will come back. Went again another cloudy day. We were lucky to see the swans. They were there almost the sunset. Beautiful and peaceful!

I love this place. I've had a reminder in my calendar for months to stop in while traveling to Vancouver Island from Calgary on vacation. It's even better than the last time I stopped in as they have built a fabulous store front market. Everything for sale is organic including all of their flours and other baking products. I stocked up on whole wheat and white flour as well as a variety of other flours they offer and other baking items. We were there at the perfect time for wood fired pizza right out of the oven. It was so delicious 😋😋. The service was outstanding. I needed to discuss flour varieties and the different grinds. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great chat with the young man who cooked our pizza. He was very personable and showed a genuine interest in us. We will definitely be back for pumpkins on our way back through Chilliwack.
Love shopping here! Their produce is beyond brilliant; fresh, varied and plentiful. Decided to can jalapeños and make pesto because all the goods were so awesome. Oh, and we only came in for one thing 😆😂 Thank you Local Harvest!
Friendly Staffs & great produce!! Got a purple cauliflower for dinner!!
Anita’s just gets better every time we go there. Wish it was closer into the city. Produce, flour, sandwiches and so much more.
The prices are excellent and the variety of fresh produce is amazing. Too bad we don't live nearby
We were hitch hiking from our boat to a hardware store on N. Pender Island in BC looking for propane. On the way we began talking about pancakes. I had forgotten to include pancake ingredients in our supplies. Across the country road from the hardware store we noticed a building with a veranda called, simply, Country Store. Looking to stock our larder for the following weeks we went in. In a few moments Maggie peeked from behind a row of shelves and said, "Here's some pancake mix!!" I checked it out, was impressed and quickly added it to our pile. I just put together Anita's pancakes for lunch and Maggie and I loved every bite. She said, "This is the best pancake I've ever had", which hurt my feelings a little bit since I'm pretty proud of mine but I had to admit she was right. These are the best pancakes I've ever had too!
From my experience they only ever have farm fresh. I have never seen them bring in grocery store fruits, vegetables or other items. So worth the quick stop for fresh bakery items!
Very very high quality product. After hearing about Anita's flour so often and from such a wide cross section of people I was really happy to find that they are located right here in the community of Chilliwack. Keep up the amazing work! Highly recommend.

$6 for a 4 x 3oz sampler paddle. Tasty beer! Love how they are helping reinvigorate old downtown Chilliwack! Good job guys!
Fab little brewpub with surprisingly good beer. Parking lot and street parking in the area.
Great brews and beautiful atmosphere. Excited to see what comes out of this new brewery!!
Pretty rad little brewery right in the heart of downtown Chilliwack. Didn't have a ton of beers rotating at the time of visit but more than made up for it with personality and generosity. Will definitely come back and check on their work and drink their beers again.
This place is definitely open and there's a much better selection of beer than there used to be (though I'd prefer more Stouts & Porters myself) & they have their lounge license now so you can get as many beers as you like.
Yeah, pretty good and a great place to enjoy good beer. Flights are for the newbie, I was one... It says on the menu that they are limited to a particular serving per person, bylaws.... I hope to be there again soon.
The grapefruit radler is delicious, highly recommend coming here for a beer flight tasting. Casual and friendly service in the heart of Chilliwack.
Friendly as always. Great beers. The new kvass is awesome. Kid and dog friendly, and board games to play.
