Highly recommended for both first-time visitors and locals rediscovering its magic.
Beautiful landscaped square with many shops and restaurants around it. Tuesday was market day with food stalls, local sellers and live music. Many people brought their own outdoor set up and picnic. Nice atmosphere
We have always loved coming here and through the years it has never changed. Boutique hotels, great wine and amazing food. It is great for a couples getaway and lots to do with kids also. The square is something you need to see. It is also rated in the top 10 Fourth of July fireworks displays in the country. We went last year and it was unbelievable.
Lots of spots to tuck into, shops, eateries, ice cream, wine tastings, liquor tastings and more. Very walkable. Sweet little square/park in the center. Lots of parking (3 hrs).
Great downtown area, very walkable with a unique variety of shops, restaurants and tasting rooms. Spent much more time in this concentrated area than anticipated. Great people, great experiences, great time.
This is such a nice place. I'm returning in two weeks. Places to stay like the Eldorado, where I stay and lots of restaurants and shops to keep you busy and the beautiful Sonoma square to enjoy
We had s wonderful time last night at the Square in Sonoma for the tree lighting festival!

A wonderful family-owned winery that also features an olive oil shop offering tastings alongside wine flights. The quality and pricing are truly outstanding. The tasting room is beautifully designed, with plenty of space and snack options to enjoy alongside your wine. We sampled the full selection of whites and reds and shared a charcuterie board with three types of cheeses, spiced almonds, and olives. They also serve bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar—absolutely delicious and a perfect pairing. The olive oil shop is impressive, with a wide variety of oils and vinegars. It was hard to choose because everything we tasted was excellent, but we eventually went with a few classic favorites. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you love wine, olive oil, and Mediterranean flavors, this spot delivers it all—at very reasonable prices. A must-visit!
Absolutely beautiful building and proiperty with mediocre wine and service. We came earlier in the day and thoroughly enjoyed an olive oil tasting at their “Pressed” location so we expected similar service here, but it fell short. The wines were decent, we bought a case, but there were only 2 we liked enough to buy. The guy who did our tasting seemed disconnected from us, though he tried to be pleasant. Overall, we weren’t impressed.
We visited this winery on a Wednesday and were able to walk in for a wine tasting without a reservation. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us information on each wine, where the grapes grew, and other interesting facts about the family. We ordered a charcuterie board and also sampled the olive oils in their olive oil shop. We stayed in Sausalito and were able to get here in about 45 minutes.
Beautiful place to spend an afternoon tasting wines. We found the place while driving and were not disappointed. They have gorgeous outdoor seating where we enjoyed their wine looking out the vast field of the vineyard. Their food menu is not extensive yet the choices will fill you up. We ended up ordering pizza with bruschetta. We were a group of 4 so we tried their white & red wine. The prices were reasonable for a bottle and the wines were really good. You can bring kids but i would recommend making an adult trip to this place.
We had a great experience at the bar with the bartenders Sam and Tim, after taking a look in the shop there and trying some pretty spectacular olive oils and balsamics. I bought a 6 pack that I put together with my favorites and just know I will be bummed when I run out, being from Chicago will make it hard to just go and stock up again but wow their carmalized onion balsamic is beyond words. I ended up joining the wine club because of how amazing the service and wine was. The chocolate wine shot was fun. The wine is poured directly into a piece of chocolate. Beautiful property and A++ would recommend.
Beautiful building and property! Service was excellent! Thank you Lauren for a fantastic wine tasting and Genevieve for an exquisite olive oil and vinegar tasting. This was definitely our favorite stop!
I'm from Utah. This is my favorite winery, hands down. Everyone is so accommodating, the wine is fantastic, the grounds are phenomenal, and the experience is always the best. I bring cases of wine home because I can't get it in Utah. I could rattle off a handful of different times where everyone; like literally the whole winery went above and beyond to appease me. I visit every year. Multiple times in some years, and Jacuzzi is just always a high mark above...everywhere else. *FAVORITE*
We came without a reservation and they were so kind to fit us in, very beautiful property, loved the bread oil tasting, the chocolate shot was fun and Derek was great! Would definitely come back!

A very lovely place to taste some great wines and enjoy a day. They got their start in Contra Costa County in the 80s squeezing some fantastic wines out of 100-year-old vines. Beautiful grounds - can be breezy, bring a jacket - and very inviting outdoor seating. Ask for Quinnie if you can - wonderful, knowledgeable, very personable, she'll make your afternoon. Keep your eyes open around the grounds and you might even catch a bit of California history. We immediately signed up for their wine club and will certainly be back.
We came to Cline Family Cellars on a Monday during vacation with our kids — and came back again on Tuesday because it was that good. The wines are beautifully crafted, and we especially loved tasting Cline’s “Shifting Tides” — elegant, smooth, and full of character. But this place is so much more than just wine. The grounds are open and peaceful, with so much to explore. There’s an original vintage train car, several ponds filled with fish you can feed, donkeys and plenty of open space. It’s crazy how relaxing and beautiful it can be — even with kids in tow. They were entertained and welcomed, and we had real time to enjoy ourselves. When we shared a personal story with a staff member, the owner came out to meet us. Their warmth, curiosity, and incredible generosity were beyond anything we’ve experienced at any winery, ever. We left with great wine and even better memories. Cline is a place we’ll return to again — and tell others about. Special thanks to Emma and Quinnie.
We dropped in unannounced but still treated to an amazing tasting. Wine was fabulous! The grounds were amazing from the mission, to the pond to the donkeys! Loved it all!!
What a beautiful garden and pond! Loved walking the grounds. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and our host Emma had a great sense of humor and immense wine knowledge. Enjoyed the classic Sonoma flight, although the Chardonnay was the winner in our group! Very kid friendly and pet friendly!
Came down for a small trip for our 10yr anniversary, Jerry was amazing we loved him and loved how family friendly and beautiful the winery is! My daughter really enjoyed feeding the fish, we left with two bottles, can’t wait to come back!
4 stars for our awesome server & the beautiful outdoor area. Wines were ok nothing that we wanted to buy a bottle of. Kids are allowed outside (not sure about inside) so if you don't mind rugrats running & screaming all around your table, sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
Cline Cellars has a spectacularly beautiful property! It's welcoming, clean, and stunning. The staff was very friendly and our wine specialist was super knowledgeable and kind. I will happily return but also recommend this family owned oasis when you're in Sonoma!
We really enjoyed our time spent at Cline and hope to be back in the future. The grounds were beautiful and relaxed (heads-up, it was EXTREMELY kid friendly and felt more like a brew garden than a winery). This was easily the only wine we had on our most recent trip to napa that had a taste and experience in line with their pricing.

Had an Amazing trip to Napa Valley and Sonoma Wine Country last weekend. Absolutely loved Gloria Ferrer Winery. It was one of the only place that take walk-ins without any reservations. The staff was very welcoming particularly Dominic, who greeted us and reccomended some great wines. Also, Frisco was nice and helpful. The views are beautiful as well. Definitely one of the best vineyards I've been too.
What a glorious winery!! 🍷 Their wines are perfectly complex, balanced, and delightfully scrumptious. Their olive oil and food offerings are wonderful as well. All enjoyed in the most beautiful geographical setting imaginable. Every staff member was friendly, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable to visit with, as well as knowledgeable about their vineyards, grapes, wines, and history. 300 enchanting acres of the best wine & food experience you’ll find.
Every quarter we visit, their wines are simply amazing. Joey always makes thoughtful, precise, and perfectly matched selections to our tastes. His extensive knowledge and genuine passion for the winery make the experience both enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend seeking his guidance when visiting.
This was a fantastic experience! First off, the view is absolutely beautiful and the lounge area we were seated was comfortable, sunny, and had a great vibe. All of the wines we tasted were wonderful and i would love to have again. Kenny G was the one helping us out and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and overall a great host. His passion and love for the wines was evident. He gave us generous pours and even offered us more if our hearts desired. We ordered some tapas and it surprised me how high quality they were. I'm usually underwhelmed with the food at wineries but not here. We got the olives, pistachios, garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas, shrimp, duck leg confit, and the dessert platter. The olives were some of my favorite that i've had and the duck leg confit was so flavorful and cooked to perfection! The dessert platter was the perfect way to end the tasting and really went well with the wines. Our whole group agreed at the end of our trip that this was our favorite of the wineries we visited. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this experience!
What a real experience. The winery has so much history, wines are incredibly high quality and food is at Michelin star level. Top top top!!!
A Sparkling Sonata in Sonoma Let me set the scene: It’s a June morning. Not just any morning. A crisp, sun-kissed, California morning, and the kind Texans write country songs about because we can only dream of being outside this time of year without melting like a sno-cone in a sauna. We had 11:00 AM reservations for the Taste of Carneros experience at Gloria Ferrer, California’s most awarded sparkling winery and folks, the award shelf must be sagging under the weight of excellence. When we arrived, our table was already staged like a magazine spread: glasses twinkling, menus placed with precision, and views that could silence a room. My adoring sidekick: refined, radiant, and ever-so-prepared for bubbly, was already in her element. As I adjusted my chair to soak in the panoramic perfection of rolling vineyards and olive trees swaying like old souls, she was mid-sip, eyes closed, communing with the first pour. The sparkling wines? Ethereal. Each one whispered something different to the senses: crisp orchard fruit, warm brioche, a flirtatious hint of citrus, and all pulled from the estate like liquid gold. This wasn’t a tasting. It was a symphony, and we had front-row seats. We added Spanish tapas to the mix because, let’s be honest, bubbles demand a supporting cast. The Charcuterie Board: A rustic dream. Manchego, almonds, salami, dried fruit, crackers, and yes, the caper berries, plump as grapes and twice as sassy. The Marinated Olives: These weren’t the olives pressed for their estate olive oil, but a separate batch served up with bold, briny flair. While I maintain my lifelong diplomatic distance from olives, my sidekick declared them “sensational,” and I respect her palate as much as I respect her judgment in husbands. The Empanada: Flaky, golden, and filled with something that made my taste buds do a double-take. A savory masterpiece with a side of greens for moral support. Our wine guide, Ava, was the human equivalent of a great toast—elegant, warm, celebratory, and perfectly timed. Her knowledge flowed freely, her stories were engaging, and her hospitality sealed the deal. She elevated an already magical experience. The interior spaces? Picture a Restoration Hardware catalog crossed with a Sonoma dream—open, modern, and inviting. Even the vine sculpture on the wall seemed to lift its arms and say, “You belong here.” Outside, we explored more seating areas, including some modern Adirondack chairs that looked like they belonged on the cover of Architectural Digest: Vineyard Edition. And the views, dear Lord, the views. We stood together overlooking those vines, taking a photo not just to capture the moment but to testify: we were here, and it was glorious. As we wrapped up, my wife lingered with one last glass of her favorite pour, like a perfectly placed encore before the curtain closed on a flawless performance. We didn’t just enjoy the experience. We absorbed it. TL;DR: Gloria Ferrer is the Beyoncé of bubbles. Sparkling wine that sings, tapas that thrill, and views that steal your breath. Impeccable service, stunning surroundings, and a patio made for Texas escapees. Come for the wine. Stay for the soul-realignment. Already planning our return.
10/10 recommend this winery! The brunch and tasting were our favorite visit during our entire three day trip to Napa and Sonoma. They give you five star treatment and the wines are simply superb! Kenny G was by far the best wine educator and host. He recognized what we liked and made suggestions that fit our palate and lifestyle. Can’t wait to go back again and are looking forward to receiving all of the divine bottles we are having shipped home. :) 🥂
Definitely love the venue with the lovely view over the vineyard. Some good service, food and the VN Vista Brut sparkling wine was the best. Definitely make a reservation before you go.

This was my first experience with a race school. I was an absolute novice. The instructors started from the very beginning (I attended PD1, the first of three courses offered) and they walked me and the rest of the nine person class through the basics of driving a race track. It was AWESOME. Don’t be intimidated, take this class. They take you from 30 mph on the track up to 70/80/90 mph by the end of the day and they do it responsibly and with lots of encouragement. I cannot recommend this course enough for someone who is curious about driving on a racetrack or just wants to push their sports car and see what it can do. All the participants were cool car enthusiasts and we all got along great. Well worth the money. Oh, I almost forgot the best part … YOU GET TO DRIVE ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC ROAD COURSES IN THE WORLD!
The instructors for Skip Barber are second to none. It was the best way to introduce my soon-to-be-driving daughter to the world of the open road.
Great experience watching electric cars racing. I loved it!
Great day at the track..

If you’ve never been here, you should come check it out and try their wine while you’re there! The place is historic and beautiful… Lots of amazing architecture and great folks to explain it. Our tasting was really nice too, their wines were really good. Plenty of nice, shaded places to sit & sip outside, but also places inside. If you’re able, go into the large building at the end of the circular patio, past the fountain and check out the caves! I’d highly recommend visiting Buena Vista Vineyards!
If you are looking to get away… this is the place to unwind and reset everything in your day to day routine. An amazing winery that dates back to 1800 year. You will love the ambiance, the paradise look and like spot to sip your wine. And service is also great. See for yourself and and you might even fall in love with this winery
We had a wonderful experience at Buena Vista Winery! The wines were excellent, and our tasting with Mili Franceschi made it even more enjoyable. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and explained what we needed to know about the wines. We felt very well taken care of and truly enjoyed the atmosphere. It was definitely one of the highlights of our honeymoon trip. If we could, we’d come back tomorrow! And we will definitely return the next time we are in the area. Thank you, Mili, for making our visit so special!
Had a very peaceful experience at Bueno vista. We walked in - Don hosted us treated us to some exquisite wines. The location was calm, quiet, spacious, simply wonderful. I’d return right away if I could!
Stopped in for the quintessential winery tour whole in Sanoma. We were pleasantly surprised, the count gave is an incredible experience! Learned a lot, truly discovered what makes a great whine, and really enjoyed the tour. I discovered the the type of whine doesn't necessarily imply what it'll taste like, it only describes the type of grapes and it area the grapes come from.
We visited Buena Vista and had a free complimentary tasting thanks to my husband who is in the military. The place is cozy and beautiful. Wine is amazing and definitely will recommend to pair it with some chocolates. Looking forward next time do the sparkling wine tastings.
Neat winery tour which takes you across some beautiful grounds. I can't say I appreciated the hard sell on a wine club at the end of the tour, but I understand that's pretty typical for the area. Buena Vista Winery was a fun stop but I can't say I need to come back next time I'm in wine country.
Brandon gave a great tour. It was very informative and fun. Thw grounds are beautiful. We even sampled a wine right from the barrel. The oldest winery in sonoma....definitely worth a visit.

Good prices and very good view. Perhaps not the most special views, but very nice Nice service. Food menu is quite slim, only cheese, crackers and salami. However the overall feeling was very good - thus the 5 star review. The wine was tasty and left a good feeling.
Gundlach Bundschu Winery is a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon. The property is expansive with plenty of space to wander and a chill outdoor seating setup that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were laid back and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere without any pressure. During the tasting, the Cabernet and the Gewürztraminer stood out as my favorites, both full of character and flavor. It is the kind of place where you can take your time, sip great wine, and enjoy the scenery. Five stars for the setting, service, and wine.
Good, not grape. A lovely spot to unwind with stunning views, but the $50 tasting felt a bit steep for what hit the glass. Still, a pleasant visit overall—and according to our designated driver, the water alone was a 5/5 experience. Hydration never tasted so good.
Fabulous cellar tour and tasting. Jamie was so knowledgeable and taught us a ton about the history of the wine and how it’s made. The tour included many different types of wine. I fully recommend.
What a great time!!! Robert gave a fantastic tour. We visited the caves as well as walked into the fields sampling different wines along the way. We even tried a few grapes from the vines. Definitely worth a visit!!! So happy we visited this incredible winery.
We loved our visit to Gundlach Bundschu. We came late (around 4:45 pm). We were not able to do the tasting but we were able to buy wine by the glass, which is what we really wanted. Sandra was amazing, explaining not only the wines but also the amazing history of the winery. We picked the Pinot Noir and Cab Sav, which we really enjoyed.
We had such a wonderful experience! Our Pinz Excursion guide, Jamie, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable — he made the entire tour so informative and engaging. Loved learning about the regenerative farm and family history. The setting was absolutely beautiful, and the wine was truly exceptional. The Gewurztraminer and Pinot were delicious. We’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend the Pinz!!
This review is specifically for Charlie. He is such a gem of a person and we were so lucky that he was the one doing our tasting because it took our already 5 star experience to a 10. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the vineyard and the wine. It was such an actual joy to listen to him speak about each wine and with such detail cause you could really tell that he cares about the vineyard but also the experience of the customer. The wine was also incredible and we ended up bringing back a lovely bottle of pinot noir back to New Jersey with us and will definitely be looking for this in our local stores. I highly recommend coming here to catch the sunset as it was stunning and felt like we were in a movie! I loved my experience here and would recommend this to anyone visiting, it was a true highlight for us during our stay. Thank you Charlie and go Eagles!

My husband went to Viansa and the views were just spectacular. The staff were all so kind - we had Adrian as our server and he was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were delicious and we enjoyed a fresh sandwich. This was a great day trip for us and highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back in the future!
Beautiful grounds. Very Tuscan vibe. Played Italian music which was very nice. Did a wine tasting. Took about 15 minutes to get served our first glass from our hostess which was bit long to sit there. She was delightful, very nice and knowledgeable. We ended up buying a few more bottles. Was such a beautiful day. We walked around the grounds which were stunning.
Viansa Winery is absolutely breathtaking. The rolling vineyards, warm stone architecture, and sweeping views make it feel simultaneously grand and deeply intimate. As a wedding photographer, I’m drawn to spaces that let couples feel effortless and truly themselves, Viansa does that beautifully. The light, the landscape, the blend of rustic and elegant touches make it a perfect setting for moments that last forever. -Esme Franco Photography
Beautiful winery and vineyard with an amazing view. We had a lovely tasting with Adrian on the back porch that was both fun and informative. They have a large assortment of wines which makes it easy to fine one to please both white and red lovers. Although we didn’t have a chance to try all their meats and cheeses they had an impressive assortment.
Had the best late afternoon lunch and wine tasting experience at Viansa Winery. Cole was a gracious host, very knowledgeable about the wine and nailed our differences in taste, customizing our tastings with perfection. The food was delicious too! We shared the charcuterie board for 2 and an Italian sandwich on a fresh, soft ciabotta roll. The property and views were picturesque. And the music selection completed the ambiance with a relaxing and easy vibe. We could have spent all day there! We took home prosecco and their signature white. I even bought a cute hat and sweater at their boutique marketplace on site. Loved every minute and worth every penny.
Jamaal was a fabulous and knowledgeable server. Viansa was my first stop in CA wine country and I’m so glad because it set my bar high! Incredible views and delicious wines. Purchased a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to take home. Hope I am able to make it back out to Sonoma soon and come again.
We had a wonderful time at Viansa! The view of the vineyard is gorgeous! Everyone was very professional and friendly. I learned so much about wine during our wine tasting. Thank you for a lovely time!
We absolutely loved our afternoon tasting at Viansa. Our host, Adrian, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wines we tasted along with the terroir that produced each varietal. We loved the rose, the Sangiovese and the Nero D'Avola which is certainly a rare treat to experience at a Sonoma / Napa winery. Each wine tasted very individual and this is NOT your standard Napa jammy cab shop! We never felt rushed or under pressure to buy wine, although we did happily leave with three bottles to enjoy at home! Can't recommend this place, or Adrian, highly enough for a wonderful afternoon of wine tasting with spectacular views and wines to match! Pictures of the stunning property and also my parents excited about the prospect of more wine tasting at home :)

Rolled up to this winery at 9:59am. And they were super duper awesome. Got a tasting. Then an extra tasting. Then a small tour. Which was very informative. Who knew Zinfandel plants were so unruly. And from Croatia. A few bottles on tour. Nice, cool barrel room. Friendly folks. Some small food at the tasting room.
Stayed at a cottage connected to the vineyard. Great place, nice wines in a nice and quaint tasting room. Had a nice outdoor sitting area to enjoy full glasses. Would definitely go back.
Highly recommend! Always a pleasure to come to this winery! The wines are good and the people working here are incredibly friendly and generous! Don't hesitate to ask about the region or about the wine, they will happily answer your questions and help you through your journey!
This was the perfect ending to our day in wine country. It was peaceful and beautiful. We sat on the patio and had a delicious platter paired with the best Moscato I have ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and informative. Highly recommend
Tasting was $25 and was with exclusive wines. With 6 tasters, generous pours, nice staff and a couple extra tastes, pretty solid overall. Can also grab a glass and sit on the hillside.
Great winery to visit. From novices to experts. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Laid back and very enjoyable!¹
Awesome selection of Sonoma wines from the heart of wine country. This was the Zinfidel experts. We loved everything we tasted. Just magical.
Excellent customer service. The staff was beyond polite and treated us as friends/family. I did wish the tasting included more than just the Zinfandels but it was interesting to see how different the wine tasted with the same grapes but from different regions. The prices are fantastic and the product is delicious.

Nicholson Ranch is a winery slightly “off the beaten” pass as you’re coming or going from Sonoma to Napa that offers Chardonnay and Pinot noir grown on their estate. Their Cabernet, which is source from Napa and is labeled under the name of the new owner. The tasting flight consists of five wine and is $50. If you buy four bottles or more they wave for tasting fee. The flight includes one Chardonnay, two Pinot Noirs,, a red blend and a Cabernet. The pinots are a bit earthy, musty, and cost around $95/bottle. These are not baby Cabernets. These are very European “Old world” style red wine. The estate is beautiful. There is a Greek church up on the hilltop built by the Nicholson family a while they own some of the land they sold of the winery. The tasting room is beautiful with a big window overlooking the hilltop and they actually play music that gives you the right ambience to just relaxing and enjoy the wine. Mike is a fantastic host and runs a fun and very educational enjoyable wine like podcast.
We thought it was quite good. The view is lovely, Mike is friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine and the estate (much more so than we were). All five of the wines were very tasty we thought and we were in fact served a few extra sips. We met the owner who in fact seemed to be quite interested in wine and also seemed to know what he was doing. We don't have very bougie taste but we left with a bottle of the Chardonnay and I think we'll be back. All the staff seem to be very friendly to us. I rather liked it.
What an amazing experience at this beautiful family‑owned winery! Our server, Jesse, was fantastic friendly, knowledgeable, and made our tasting so enjoyable. We also met Diepak, the owner, who is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet he personally stopped by to be sure we were well taken care of. The whole place is spotless and has such a warm, welcoming vibe. You can feel the care and love that goes into every detail here.
The estate is stunning and captures the quintessential landscaping and architecture of a premier Northern California winery. The selection is extensive, though pricing runs high—a single glass costs approximately what three bottles would at a discount retailer. They have great wines as well! While the winery's reputation suggests exceptional quality, the flavor profiles were unexpectedly muted and lacked the complexity one might anticipate from their level of experience. The experience reflected a common Napa Valley tendency where attention seems calibrated to the guest's perceived sophistication or spending potential, which detracted from an otherwise promising visit.
It worth every minute. Amazing Winery. Kind people. The building walls, in the last week of July when I got there were, were matching with the hills. Exactly the same color. And then Even the Chardonnay color seems to be part of the nature-men show. Really good esthetics taste. It has been 21 years since the law gave the permit to sell directly to the consumer and they did 21 years of history this year. And wish that the majority celebration come with wine!
We had such a relaxing and inspiring time spending our day at Nicholson. The wine is thoughtfully and crafted good in every way. Don’t miss their chardonnay or their Pinot. All their wine is very approachable but not pretentious. The ambience and views are relaxing at every corner. Mark the wine sommelier is a true craftsman at the helm. The pristine landscaping that is subtle with the needle grass caressing the bay breeze. We stumbled upon this property and the vintner welcomed us in with a smile and a pour. We left with smiles and will definitely be back soon. Don’t miss this vineyard if you do you’re missing out on life’s gifts. Ask for Mark and you will get not only a gentleman but a scholar of not only wine but all that California has to offer. Cheers
Gorgeous location, had an intimate tasting experience with the owner of the winery, and the wines were phenomenal. Highly recommend and walk ins are accepted.
This is our favorite spot in Sonoma. We live on the east coast and visit every fall. Of course we are part of the wine club! Not only is their wine fantastic but they also go above and beyond in showing hospitality. It’s special here. This is a small, family run winery. Deepak (owner, winemaker) is always there to say hello and chat and makes you feel so welcome. On this most recent trip, our friends who were also visiting CA joined us for a first time visit to Nicholson Ranch, and Jessi knocked it out of the park. She provided a lovely educational tasting experience and cave tour which included both Nicholson and Gulrajani wines, followed by some ‘heavy snacks’ (try the burrata with pistachio, it was amazing) … oh… and a lot of laughs. A great time was had by all. We will always come back.

We had a lovely evening enjoying wine outside by the fountain. The buildings and grounds are beautiful. They make excellent wine.
The Malbec is amazing, but Juan was even better! Very personable. He educated us about the wine in a fun and relatable way but. If you are looking for a fun vibe with great wine, ask for Juan! The courtyard is beautiful! Lots of beautiful shade trees and a relaxing fountain. It’s a walkable distance from the plaza, so it’s quiet area. I would highly suggest walking so you can see the beautiful architecture along the way.
Juan and Lynn did a great job. Juan was great educating us on the grapes, how weather and smoke affect the grapes and the wines themselves. Also great ideas on food parings. He also introduced us to their black cherry blocked. 2016 was wonderful! Lynn was great, educating us on the wines and parings as well. She introduced us to their 2020 Merlot which was quite lovely. Thank you both!!!
Sat for 10 min at the bar to taste until we flagged her down, while she walked in circles around a table of 4. After we drank each taste slowly had to wait another 10 minutes for the next round and there were two servers. They were a total of six of us in the tasting room. We have visited many times throughout the last 10 years and service went down hill this time. We had enough and tried to pay the tasting fee cash but they only accepted card. Did not buy any due to way overpriced.
@Sebastianiwines is just a few short blocks walking distance from downtown Sonoma square. We absolutely enjoyed all their wines during our tasting. Their Cherryblock Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best Cabernets we've tried on this trip! Located in historic Sonoma, California, Sebastiani offers Tuscan architecture, private meeting rooms, outdoor grounds and more. The winery was founded in 1904 and has a long history of producing high-quality wines. Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery is currently open seven days a week for seated wine tastings and now accepting walk-ins at the tasting bar. Hours are 10:30AM – 5PM, with the last reservation at 3:30PM.

Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery boasts a storied history and a track record of producing award-winning wines. Their commitment to Sonoma County winemaking traditions contributes to their enduring reputation.
Lovely edge of town setting for this historic winery. Lovely tasting room and exhibits and of course some great wines. Last tastings at 4pm. Wine can be purchased by the glass/bottle. Closes at 5. Nice out door seating area and free parking on site
Recently visited the Sebastiani tasting room in Sonoma for the third time. I think the first time was 1992 (honeymoon) and 2002-ish (10 yr anniversary). Now we're 32 years into this adventure and spent better part of a morning there after breakfast. Service was fantastic, wines are excellent and the facility and woodwork are as beautiful as ever. We bought a case and a special bottle of their 1992 Cherryblock for a future celebration. It's walking distance off the square and well worth a visit, as walk-ins are welcome.

Guys this place is absolutely beautiful. 10/10 am going again. Hiking, fishing, a nice drive with your people, it's defenently worth it. The weather isn't normally too hot, and there's often this mystical fog, especially in the mornings. You have your pick of beach way, rocks, etc. Or just drive a few minuts and youre in forests and hills.
Sonoma State Beach is nothing short of breathtaking. The coastline unfolds with dramatic beauty, rugged cliffs, rolling waves, and tide pools teeming with vibrant marine life. It is a place where nature speaks loudly yet peacefully. The tide pools are alive with wonder, offering an intimate glimpse into the ocean's delicate ecosystem. Sea stars, crabs, and anemones make this beach a living classroom for both the curious and the contemplative. Parking was surprisingly manageable, even during peak hours. Just be sure to plan ahead and arrive early if you want front row access to the more scenic entry points. Footwear and cleanup prep are essential. Bring an extra pair of shoes, a towel, and water to rinse off after exploring. The beach is clean but rugged, and the reward lies in being prepared. You can follow the main trails or carve out your own adventure along the coastline. There is a feeling of freedom here, a kind of quiet that invites you to explore, reflect, and just breathe. Highly recommended for nature lovers, photographers, and those seeking a reset from the noise of everyday life. Sonoma State Beach delivers the kind of beauty you carry with you long after the tide goes out.
Family time at the beach... lots of room but get there early as parking can be tough. Beautiful and clean beaches. Stay updated on the weather, it changes daily!
All the little stops on this coast are truly amazing. They are all so pretty and breathtaking. A definite must see on your trip.
Absolutely beautiful!! I would highly recommend the short hike around the park!! Loved how I could hear the sea lions but couldn’t see them!!
A huge park that contains several beaches with stunning views. It was very windy and foggy when we visited but still very beautiful.
The beauty of this cruise along the coast is the herd of deer. The ratio of males to females are equal in that the growth of the flock is steadily growing.
Take the time to come visit this location and enjoy some amazing views of the Pacific coastline. You can do a small easy walk or get crazy and do a challenging hike in this area for even more wonderful sightseeing. I highly recommend you take the time to stop into Fishermans Cove, located at 1850 Bay Flat Road for some delicious Halibut and Chips. The clam chowder was pretty good as well.

Larson Winery, our server Hayden P. & their entire team made our afternoon on their grounds unforgettable. The wine (specifically the Albarino & Meritage) was delicious. Learned a lot on the tour. The games & entertainment were nice to have as well for the families. We will be back!
What a beautiful place to spend a day with family. We picked this place while driving by and were happy to bring kids along. They had a pumpkin patch in the back for kids to enjoy, a green space with games, a sand box and space for adults to enjoy wine while over looking the vineyard. The service was good and our server made good recommendation of wine and food. The best part was their family dog who was so friendly with the kids and was making rounds all around the property. You can bring your dog as well and let them enjoy the space.
They have the comfy, authentic feel down. Not a bit pretentious, just some people that like wine. The tasting area has all the makings for a fantastic afternoon. Games, a variety of seatings, sports if you’d like, and wine. Really good wine! They have a great selection of reds and an equally impressive selection of whites. The new Malbec is really good and the different cab varieties touch many notes. They have a bubbly rosé which was very good. I will enjoy the bottles I brought home and look forward to the next visit.
Great vibe. Extremely family-friendly and we were able to play with some of their super friendly and adorable dogs. Our host the "wine-god" was very funny.
We visited Larson with a large party of 9 (and 3 dogs) on a Sunday and had a great experience! The flights had a nice variety and mix of varietals from Chardonnay to a very tasty Three Lab Cab. Brian was an amazing host and we were able to get a very informative tour through the barreling and bottling process, as well as access to the vineyards. Definitely recommend visiting Larson. Not to mention they are super dog friendly!
An absolutely lovely winery and grounds!! I highly recommend and make sure you connect with Jeanie! She did a fabulous job taking care of us and pouring wine. Pro tip.....take your pooch! Super dog friendly!
Not a great spot if you actually care about wine, even with kids. We were not able to do a tasting due to staffing, so we could only have a single glass. Both varieties we tasted were unpleasant, not well balanced, and overall quite inferior to other Sonoma wineries. The space for kids to run was nice, but not worth a visit. A playground without any wine would have been superior to our experience here. I'd skip this one.
Visited a total of 7 wineries during our trip to Sonoma and the BEST time at Larson Family Winery. It was such a unique experience here compared to other wineries. We were able to tour the vines, taste wine right out of a barrel, and a tank, and compare them to finished product. Brian was our guide, make sure to ask for him if you go! He was a pro at dealing with our group of 6 women :) Thank you so much for hosting us!

We visited Ram's winery today and had a great time. The wine selection is great and the service was exceptional thanks to our sommelier Maya! She is very knowledgeable and made our day and tasting extra special. We'll definitely be back! The grounds are beautiful as well. Don't miss it!
I can’t recall ever rating a place on Google, but feel the need to here. Ram’s Gate was supposed to be the first of several Sonoma wineries in our day, but we ended up spending most of our day here. The wine and food was amazing, but Paul gets the credit for keeping us there. My wife and I learned so much about the area, the property and the wine. He kept our glasses filled and smiles on our faces. Could not recommend an experience any more than this.
I am a bit delayed in posting this, but my partner and I delighted in the full tasting menu at Ram’s Gate. I’ve enjoyed many tastings throughout wine country and Ram’s Gate has one of the better, more elevated experiences at a reasonable price (if I may add)! I am not even a fan of carrots but the carrot risotto was one of my favorite courses. That should say a lot about the quality of food being delivered by culinary team here. The property is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We were greeted with bubbles while we waited for our reservation in the gorgeous courtyard. We even got some amazing local food recommendations from our server! I’d highly recommend and will definitely come back!
I recently visited Ram’s Gate Winery, and the experience was lovely. The setting is gorgeous, with stunning views and a beautifully designed space that creates a relaxing atmosphere. The wine itself was good —not bad, but nothing extraordinary. I’d say the real highlight is the location and ambiance… Mark was great!
This place is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture is incredible and the wine so delicious. Paul was our server and he was impeccable trying to give us great recommendations of where to visit in the area. Can’t wait to visit again
Beautiful environment, lovely and knowledgeable staff (thank you Paul), delicious food, and impeccable wine tasting...all in a charming setting. You need to go there when you are in the Sonoma/Napa Valley area.
Believe me when I say this is a must add to your Sonoma wineries to visit. Not only is it GORGEOUS and thier wine is beyond delicious… their staff is unbeatable. We had the great pleasure of being hosted by Maggie while sitting at the main bar and this lovely human truly made the experience. Her descriptions of the wines, friendliness, professionalism, and unique personality were truly a treat to be around. The property is extensive and enjoyable to walk around. Do yourself a favor and try the estate Chardonnay. You won’t leave without buying a bottle. Rams gate, hold onto Maggie, she’s a treasure!
The property is really quite beautiful and done up nicely for Christmas. We came in for a wine and bites experience in the morning and it was relatively empty for the first 90 minutes. They were kind enough to let us hang out for another hour or so before they needed the specific table we were at for another reservation. The wine selection was really quite nice. I typically don’t like my wine dry, but even the drier wines were delicious. The bite pairings were absolutely amazing too, and they were able to accommodate for my vegetarian diet too. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. The only bummer is the cost here. For the tiny little bites and wines, it came out to be about $173 for 2 of us! Probably saving this for special occasions in the future!

Quarter-scale, old-timey train making 20-minute trips to a mini town with a petting zoo & rides.
Slide 1 of 8
Great stop for a half-day. Very clean and european-like village. It has a total of 6 rides, plus the train that lasts 20 min. We loved that it stops half way to feed and pet animals. A very nice gift shop. Parking is tight in the morning. It's easier to park around lunch. I highly recommend it for kids 4 and older. No teenagers or young adults in groups. Only families come here and are very patient. Worth the price. We spent $58 for 4 of us. Instead of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom where the cost for 4 ppl would have been $180 with parking.
What a fun experience! Great for kids too! Nice train ride on an extensive piece of property! Quaint little "mock" town near the end with petting zoo and feed the animals... Multiple other carnival style rides and they're adding more!
We had such a great family day at TrainTown in Sonoma! My toddler absolutely loved every single ride, and it was so fun seeing everything through her eyes. The train ride was definitely my favorite…beautiful, charming, and such a fun experience for our family that was visiting from WI. Feeding the animals was adorable, and the lines for the rides were surprisingly short, which made the day even better. The only downsides were that everything felt pretty expensive, and there was a bit of a wait for the bathroom. Still, the smiles on my daughter’s face made it 100% worth it. Despite the high prices, we’d definitely go back again for the memories. Highly recommend for families with young kids! 🚂✨
I went with my baby nephew and it was so fun! He had a blast and I had a blast watching him. We rode the train and I was blown away by the experience. Highly recommend if you have a little one.
Overall great place. My kids really loved it. Like most attractions stuff is overpriced but you are able to go in/out of the area so if you have a lunch in your car it's good. The staff was super helpful and courteous too. We did try the coffee and some of the snacks though. Make sure to bring bills to make change as I wasn't able to find an ATM. The train ride with the feeding farm was really cool too so don't miss that opportunity.
Fun place for a family outing with young people. Can do everything in 3-4 hours. The miniature train set-up is terrific. (Looks to be the result of at least 60 years of cumulative effort.)
It was nice. Wish the rides were longer, feel a bit to short. Over all beauitful place for a quick stop for kids.
Really cute place with fun rides for younger kids. You have to get there early or the lines get really long. It was strange that they have people working multiple rides. Petting zoo was extra fun.
