Great beach on the Atlantic side of Florida. I liked the option of parking on the beach for $20. The beach was clean and the water also. The only issue was always a line for the bathroom.
New Smyrna is always great. They do a very nice job keeping it clean.
Simply the Best! A True Florida Gem! Our family just had the most wonderful beach day at New Smyrna Beach, and I can't recommend it enough! If you're looking for a clean, safe, and family-friendly spot, this is it. The first thing we noticed was how impeccably clean the sand and water were. The sand is soft and white, perfect for building sandcastles, and there wasn't a piece of trash in sight. The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming. It felt incredibly safe for our kids to run around and play in the shallow, gentle waves. We saw lots of other families enjoying the day, which created a really positive and friendly vibe. We had plenty of space to set up our chairs and umbrella without feeling crowded. It's the ideal spot for making memories, whether you're splashing in the waves, searching for shells, or just relaxing in the sun. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful, well-maintained beach. Five stars all the way!
This place is so beautiful! I love how we can jus park on the sand while over looking the water. They have a food truck there with burger fries corn dogs, and they also have Beach umbrellas and chairs for rent amongst other things. My new favorite place to go to.
Loved this beach, the sand, the water. Very clean and if you want the car by the beach you can pay 20,00 for the hole day.
This is one of my favorite beach. It was really beautiful. The beach was close to the water and had some shade.
Beautiful. Water is crystal clear. Waves are not as strong as cocoa beach which is great. There’s rentals, showers, bathrooms… perfect spot
This 'drive on ' beach is great! Plenty of good fishing too. The only thing missing are the shells! If you want shells, this isn't the place to go!

Amazing park! Stunning vibes, great water in and out of water for shelling. We got some great finds! Clear water, the sand bar was fairly big, great to walk out on. Dog friendly beach. There are bathrooms, small food truck and showers before walking on path.
A beautiful way to spend a day outside and experience local Florida wildlife and nature. The entry cost is $10 per car and lasts the whole day, including reentry. Certain areas are dog friendly as well. The beach is absolutely beautiful, but beware it's definitely more of a natural beach and not the best for swimming. I enjoyed learning about local plants with signs located around the park. There are pavilions if you want to bring a picnic, as well as a fishing pier. You could truly spend the whole day here as there is much to explore. We can't wait to come back!
Beautiful beach! The boardwalk has several access points, and the views at sunset are amazing. The beach is peaceful, with little “pool-like” areas that are perfect for kids to splash around. Lots of wildlife too… we saw butterflies, dragonflies, birds, and even tortoises. A great spot to relax and take it all in.
The place is simply stunning! A must see if you enjoy walks on a number of boardwalks or dipping your toes in the water on a warm and sunny day. You’ll see surfers and an abundance of wildlife that thrives here. The sunrise is gorgeous and so peaceful. In the afternoon, take a break and enjoy a bag lunch at one of the several picnic pavilions that’s available here. Dogs are welcome on the dog beach. Restrooms are also available.
Found this place while driving around new Smyrna Beach while family was in town We explored the whole boardwalk from start to finish taking time to walk on the beach and go seashell hunting I will say that this boardwalk or path was extremely well thought out you can see the wildlife in their natural habitat on our most recent visit, we saw several different types of birds, but also a few different turtles. It’s cool to see their home and how they naturally act in their own environment. Also, really great place to take photos
Very nice park with great wildlife watching and expansive views in all directions. It’s rare to see this much open land right next to the beach on Florida’s east coast. It’s an easy walk and very peaceful!
UPDATE: We visited this place again and loved it just as much as we did the first time. I've added new photos. PREVIOUS REVIEW: We loved it here! It’s so nice that there’s a boardwalk through the protected habitat to be able to view it all from a safe distance. We even spotted 3 tortoises on our walk. I highly recommend visiting here if you’re in the area!
Very cool place to take a walk. Boardwalk is 1 3/8 mile long with a number of places to get down to beach

Love this boardwalk. Beautiful lookouts, neat plants along the way, picnic tables and some flat space at the beginning.
Awesome view, make sure to climb up to the lookout. I was surprised it was there and glad I explored it.
My husband and I went for a walk to this magnificent place, and it was so impressive to be in contact with a lot of butterflies happily flying around us. The peaceful of this place is a therapy for your mind and heart. It's completely worth it. The weather that day was perfect. Fresh and beautiful!
Nice views. Nothing to be feared, but if you have arachnophobia be forewarned.
My family love this place! Very calm where you can spend a great time with your family or friends.
• Visited on Friday morning in late December. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all. • We stopped at turtle mound before park visitor center, and views were great and worth the stop. • There were a hand full of parallel parking spots on side of the road.
What a beautiful place!! Views were gorgeous and it was very peaceful. We saw several turtles crossing the roads. Would recommend going with your family and stopping also at the 1st beach parking area to enjoy the beach, shells and waves. :) However, if you have kids you may not want to go any farther down the road because the last few beach parking areas are also a nude beach.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful sights!!! Absolutely stunning, the board walk also look really cool. I would definitely go here again!! Not a hard hike at all, I wouldn’t even consider it a hike. Not a far walk at all. Totally worth it!!! I highly recommend!!!

I mean what can you say about New Smyrna Beach except for Flagler Ave and the amazing dining multiple restaurants that are superb and just it's just an overall great time to be had anytime you're in New Smyrna no matter what time of the day you go
Parked right at the edge of the beach, parking was rather expensive at $20 for the day but it is what it is. The sand was exquisite a very fine grain. The beach was very clean and managed. We were able to place our umbrella close enough to the parking but also close enough to the car traffic on the beach. Again well-managed by the parking group, the lifeguards, the beach patrol. Felt very safe. Plan on going again.
Flagler beach was absolutely beautiful. We had to pay to park but I think it is free after 5pm. The beach was very clean, plenty of sun and fun. There are several eating places by the beach so no worries on food. Make sure to bring your chair and umbrella and enjoy the day.
I LOVE New Smyrna It is so quaint. The beach is awesome, flat sand (Cars ride on the beach so be careful) There are sooo many little shops and restaurants and bars when you are striding towards the beach We happened to go because there was a jazz festival going on. PROBLEM with the festival was most of the groups were inside certain restaurants/ bars Very few just playing in the open like a "regular" festival. BUT, we went to LUMA'S it is an outdoor coffee shop with tables and swings. I loved this little gem The young baristas were awesome. Since those who follow me know my husband is a Coffee connoisseur (and we've been known to go to many, many coffee shops known in Volusia County) I am a Coffee Teeterler and I still have trouble figuring out what coffee I like to taste Anyway, we had a great time and if you're local (Daytona, Ormond) especially a tourist, This is a MUST on your list to travel to Photos are awesome
So much fun!! We parked on the beach which was a little pricey at 30 something dollars but we spent majority of the day there so it was worth it! Clean and well maintained. There were lifeguards up and down the beach. We had a great time. Definitely coming back soon.
Flagler Avenue Beachfront Park is a gem—easy parking on the beach , beautiful sandy shores, and a mile of unique shops and eateries just steps away. Cool beach spots, friendly vibes, and plenty to explore make it perfect for a laid-back day by the ocean. Great beaches, great energy, unforgettable atmosphere.
Always so fun and clean. Plenty of parking for $20.00 per day in the lot. You can drive and park in the beach too.
We stopped here on our trek up north and the water was absolutely gorgeous. I love sand bars and they did not disappoint ! The area was clean and public restrooms were near, along with lots of shops and restaurants. I gavor the Gulf coast but this area is one of our favorites in FL.🌴🌊😎

Always a fabulous sunrise at the beach. One never has to guess or question the beauty of nature. If visiting, remember that this beach is clothing optional, so if you go here there will be bits and bobs hanging out.
Great area but sharing parking for nude beach. Sometimes people don’t follow rules and are in parking lot nude. Yes, clothing should be worn in public parking area per park staff.
Nice beach. We went in mid Sept so it was not the tourist season. National Seashore so $25 day pass or bring the Nat'l Parks Pass. We went for a rocket launch. Pretty good spot to see it. Not crowded for it at all. Be comfortable with the human form in all it's shapes and sizes if you are going to be on the beach.
Gorgeous beach. Sand is grainy and you tend to sink when you walk so may be hard to navigate. Lots of shells of many colors. We saw a bobcat! Armadillo and tortoise too. Not for children as there are exposed bodies. Private area when we were here. Only a few people when we went but it was also chilly.
Even on overcast days. It’s a perfect place to feel free and liberated. Can’t wait to go back when it’s nice and sunny out 🌞☀️🌊🏖️ They have a nice parking area and bathrooms right on the road. The road is paved all the way down to boardwalk 5. We did see some beautiful wild life on the way down as well : a few armadillos, a wild hog with her six little piglets and a lot of different types of birds. Great park for anyone who just enjoys nature and nudity. PS. It does cost to enter the state park. We traveled here in dec 2023 and it was $20 for the car and that was good for 7 days.
The very end of the Drivable Rd., Canaveral Beach. And it is stunning. You have the Indian river on the west side of the peninsula and 100 feet in the other direction is the Atlantic ocean. This is a primitive beach, although it had it has a place for fishing. Incredible views in the park service has put in an audio tour that gives a quick synopsis of what you’re looking at. Share is wildlife everywhere we passed several armadillos in pelicans. In the summertime I understand there’s 5000 turtle mess out here.
Early risers get the few spots available for parking. The wait for a spot can be trying on your patience but if you just chill a spot will open up as people leave. The beach is worth the wait Is like having your on spot on a very exclusive private beach There is an entrance fee.
• Visited on Friday morning in late December 2023. Most kids still in school so it wasn’t busy at all. • We went down to pier 5 just to see what all the fuss was about nude sun bathers. There was decent amount of parking. We saw one “old” guy obviously nude way way down the beach to the left. That was it. It was a little cold the day we visited but sunny. Wife said it was a bit too windy and chilly to be sunbathing. On the other side we saw a kite-surfer(not sure what to call it?) That was cool to watch. • We did not see any tortoises as we were hoping for but saw at least 6 armadillos on the side of the road driving down and back up from the beaches. • You do pay at the gate and/or check your national park pass. We would visit again maybe when it was warmer.

Small, very interesting site with picnic tables and locked bathroom. There is a short very nicely shaded nature trail leading through the woods behind the ruins
I really like this historic oddity. The history is explained and preserved well. The main entrance needs more conspicuous signage. The transition from the road to the lot needs grading but everything else is good. The garbage cans were full and litter has a potential to creep in.
No cost to visit. Very small area takes no time to walk around and read plaques. 15 minutes. Quiet with walking trails.
Neat area with a bit of history and plenty of spots to picnic or relax.
These ruins were neat too see, off the beaten path a bit. Almost missed the road to get into see them, But well kept. Was interesting to learn about what it was, n used for. The ruins have chains around them. But you can see everything, walk around n get close too them. There is a hiking trail, kinda off to the side of the ruins to explore a little. I went a little later in the day towards the Evening, they have a small gravel parking area. Its free to see. I also saw a big Owl flying around n hanging out in the trees around the ruins. That was really cool. Nice interesting place to stop n explore.
Free. A bit of bugs while we visited prepare accordingly. We were the only ones there so we really enjoyed taking our time. Not a lot to see but a treasure to be present. A short little walk through the woods with trees labeled for viewing. Check it out!
Awesome lil drive thru the woods up to the ruins. Its beautiful 😍
Great Shaded picnic areas and beautiful SugarMill Ruins our historic Florida. It features a small but informative hiking trails with QE code stops along the way.

Excellent volunteers who were friendly and helpful. The museum is packed with knowledge. We will be back on our next vacay to learn more about our top vacay spot NSB
Just finished the Coronado Beach Flagler Avenue walking tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. So pleased to hear of the interesting history and especially the personal anecdotes along the way which were so informative. Thank you Mark! Very well done and perfect length too.
My Grandson and I are Locals. This Museum was a delightful surprise. The way it is laid out and the way they present artifacts and information is beautiful. We learned a great deal there. The Guides were very informative in answering our questions. We'd encourage any visitors to go and visit it, but really encourage Locals that haven't been there to go. It's a wonderful Museum. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Very interesting place for those who love learning about history and how lifestyles were created. Very enjoyable to read about how the area was built and created by certain people and where workers came from. Tickets only $8.00. Recommend if in the area.
Was more than I expected. The staff of volunteers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Had no idea of the rich history of NSB. A must. My 8 yr old son enjoyed it as well.
Fantastic museum. Staff is great friendly and knowledgeable. You will be smiling after you have visited. And if local join and support history !!
I'm a native of Orlando and have been coming to this beach my whole life. This is the first time I have visited the museum. It was very informative and I enjoyed it very much. The people who volunteer there are super nice!
This is a small history museum about New Smyrna Beach. It is free. Employees are cheerful and friendly. They have numerous old photographs of people that contributed to the early development of the area. They have old artifacts that were found from early settlers. They have a few short video presentations too. They have small wooden, handmade model ships with tiny hand painted little people that accompany the ships. They have some old clothing from early settlers too. Then they have a newer room with surfing equipment and history. Visiting this museum is a pleasant way to spend some time.

Wow!! A lot of history in a small house. Friends group man the home and provide a video which was lost initially but rediscovered during the 50th Anniversary celebration. Also a lot of knowledge in the gentleman that was there for our afternoon visit. Even kind enough to take our photo in front of the house. Great National Park, Eldorado was a surprise for us!
Love this little gem tucked away in Florida’s beauty. I just wish it was open inside! :( However, the trails and the docks make up for it, and it makes for an amazing fishing spot, so bring your license with ya!
Friends and I stumbled across this hidden gem back in '77, when renovations were just underway, I think. Were on our way back from Apollo Bch. complete with a whole body burn. The site was wild and wooly and the swamp angels were rockin'!
House is representative of 1800's settlers and farmers in this area. No charge to visit the house.
We parked in the parking lot, and headed out on the short walk to the Eldora house. We scanned the QR code the the audio tour sign, and listened to a narrated history presentation while walking. It was suggested that visitors relax in the rocking chairs on the porch and imagine what yesteryear might have felt like. We did just that! Those chairs are sooo comfortable! So glad we stopped here.
Just wished the museum was open. No idea when it is open for tours.
A great piece of Florida history. This historic site is inside the Canaveral National Seashore park and so has a national park entrance fee for the vehicle. After entering you travel about 1.25 miles (just past the Apollo Visitor’s center to the River Road turnoff on the right-hand side of the road. This road will take you by the parking areas 7 and above. There are signs for the turnoff for this site. I believe that it is about parking lot 8. Parking lot for this location is a fair distance (about 300 yards down the road) from the physical structure and the river. It is a beautifully restored house to museum for the time period. Upon entry we were greeted by a park ranger. He offered and we watched a 13 minute video. Following that we looked at the displays in the first two rooms of the house. The staff member was very friendly. Outside the house there is a dock to the north and a walkway and trail to the south. We did not go very far along the walkway. If you are a Florida history fan, this is a must-see!

This is a nice beach area. The sand is more coarse than Daytona beaches. The surf is rougher as well. There is not a lot of beach area when the tide is up. It is beautiful here and a great place for surf fishing. There is off beach parking. There is paid parking available, or if you're a volusia county resident, it's free with a permit. There is a lot of fishing from this beach due to deeper waters and less beach area. Near the beach area are public restrooms and covered picnic tables
Every year we book a pavilion on the beach here! We had a wonderful time with our family reunion this time. Everyone was comfortable, the area was clean and easy to navigate to. The bathrooms are close and convenient for elderly guest and children. The beach is right in front of you. It was safe for our children to play in the area and the pavilion made it safe for us when it rained to continue our picnic and family reunion festivities. Definitely will continue to book the pavilions at this park for family events. My only concern was the $20 parking per car in certain areas of the park. This was not made clear, and signs were not in front of every parking space or area. It would’ve been helpful to inform my guests that although we as organizers are Volusia County residents, and also paid to rent out the pavilion, that every guest still has to pay for parking. One of our Illinois guests received a $70 ticket during our visit while sitting in their car facing the beach.
My daughter and I go here often for sunrise, as it's only about 40 minutes from the house and parking is free before 8am. I've been taking my children here for years and we always have the best time, whether it's a cold day and we just want to enjoy a picnic and walk on the beach, or hot summer day and we want to swim. Lots of shells, cute little playground for the kiddos, an outdoor shower area and nice sized bathrooms for changing. Before my daughter left for college my girlfriend's and I took the girls for sunrise and Bible Study and it was breathtaking! A really great spot for the entire family 🤍
This is one of my favorite spots to see manatees and dolphins. Great launch for paddle/kayak. Close to JBs Fish Camp. Watch out for tourists. They can often be found encroaching on the spaces of endangered manatees and allowing their unruly children to splash about disrupting the serenity.
I love coming here to the beach at this spot it's never crowded. You can see for Miles in both ways. have the baby turtle things roped off and it's always clean from trash
Nice park. Three good picnic areas. One very large. Grassy area which is nice to lay a blanket down or put your chair out. Several showers. Was very clean and not a lot of people. The beach area is great. Nice sand and lots of great shells.
This is a beautiful beach, pristine coastline, amazing place to walk. I went on a day it was sunny but also Mist and fog was coming in- it was still stunning. I loved watching the fisherman who was there, loved watching them catch bait and just enjoy the day. There's a ton of ground shells and sand- it feels wonderful to walk in but beware- I walked through my house with it on my shoes and the next morning a piece literally sliced my foot! Brush your shoes off before going home! Otherwise I was fine walking barefoot all day. Around 3 or 4ish the surfers came- it was fun watching them stretch and paddle out to catch waves. It's a beautiful site to watch them surfing, the waves coming in, and seeing people walk along the beach so they can enjoy the surf. The parking along the walkway is good, a few one way streets but the sand and wheels are probably 6- 12 inches deep. That's an actually parking lot at the park worth shaded places to sit- is really pretty too. We brought a pucnic lunch to eat, as did several others. I'm not too sure if there's a lot of restaurants but i did see quite a few on the other side driving out. If you want some rest and rekaxation, being a blanket or chairs and plan on exploring. It's a Great free way to spend the day at the beach!!
This is a quiet little spot with a restroom and outside shower. There isn't much of a shoreline, but still you can lay out or sit in the benches up on the sidewalk. It's $20 to park.

Beautiful grounds and friendly people! I especially enjoyed the Virgin Mary grotto-so beautiful! The interior of the building is nice as well with stunning stained glass everywhere, especially the altar! We enjoyed Fr. Quinn's homilies. He has a humble and welcoming personality and he's funny! We look forward to returning next time we're in NSB.
The music is absolutely first class with performances that you normally have to pay to hear in a concert hall. The priest is sweet, funny, smart and I always feel like God whispers his sermons directly to his ear and meant for me. Visit any time, services are casual dress so no matter who you are or how you look, I assure you the door is open and the invitation is officially extended. You will feel God’s presence when the piano keys are playing straight out of heavens choir.
Father Quinn is GREAT and one of the nicest caring persons I’ve ever met. Father Quinn’s sermons and masses are spot on, and the church is first class, and oh so beautiful. All are welcome, so come celebrate with us.
Beautiful church! I feel welcomed and close to God here the second I walk in. Brings me so much peace and happiness knowing there is this awesome Catholic Church in NSB. I am part of the younger crowd (25 years old) but I still feel close to the church community here. God Bless
Please update your mass times on your website. I drove 35 minutes to get here only to find out that the 7:30 AM mass no longer exists.
Nice service, music and church.
Beautiful church. Supportive pastor and AMAZING music ministry team! Great fellowship!!!

Like this park a lot. There are a lot of dirt areas though which can make it messy. There are also bathrooms for humans (not even a port o potty). So if you’re staying for more than a quick visit that might be an inconvenience. I haven’t had any issues with other ppl or their dogs. All have been friendly so far in the 2 weeks and I’ve been visiting almost every day.
I went there expecting some kind of play ground for dogs but it’s pretty much like my backyard. The plastic kiddy pool they have was mud water and the drinking areas were dirty and I definitely wouldn’t drink from there why should my dog. There is shaded spots and seating I hope they would try to get some more fun stuff for dogs.people do bring unvaccinated dogs there and if your not aware they could get sick
A lot of ill mannered, bad behaviored dogs with owners who don't care
This dog park is closed and the lady at the humane society advised me that they are building a pickleball court now as of 6/21/2025
Just reopened on the 8th today is the 11th and with new grass less dirt. However, everyone always leaves as soon as I get there. Apparently because nobody ever picks up their dogs poop, I have picked up the poop rude dog owners are ruining it yet again.
Amazing spot for a beach date with your pup! There were a lot of other dogs there for my dog to play with. Just beware for sharks and riptides.
Nice large park. Plenty shade and picnic tables.
Great dog park went here almost daily until we moved

Loved the board for the military. It shows the patriotism of the people who come in. 1st time visitor, and that in particular caught my eye. If you are military as of 12/11/2024, there are some big $$$ for you. Go grab a drink. Workers were very friendly. Beer was good. Nice atmosphere and vibe.
NSB Brewery is a fantastic place. All of the beer is delicious, and there is something for everyone. The staff in one word, we'll there isn't just one word they are knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, professional, well they are down right awesome. Run to NSB Brewery, and you will not be disappointed.
This brewery is absolutely amazing! We especially love spending time here thanks to Rachel, Brent, and Jeff, who are fantastic bartenders. And the beer? It's hands down the best you'll find in Florida! To anyone questioning this establishment's respect for veterans, ignore them. I'm Retired Army, and I visit this place frequently sometimes two or three times a week. My experience has always been one of outstanding service and genuine respect. Don’t listen to the haters. Also buy Brent biscuits.
We visited on a busy Thursday during a festival, and even with the crowds, the service was just great. I counted only four people covering the entire brewery, yet within a minute of sitting down someone was already at the table. And unlike many breweries where you have to go to the bar for everything, here they come to you. And they seem to have a sixth sense for checking in with you so you never run dry. The space itself is beautiful. The bar paneling and built-in seating backs have really cool barrel barrel staves. We the Bait Pod Black IPA (8.4%), which was excellent! Roasted malt, peppery rye, balanced hop bitterness, full texture, and a refined bitter finish. We also ordered their pretzel with beer cheese. It was fresh, soft, and huge. Great beer, great energy, incredible service, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend this brewery.
Interesting to see the recent reviews that match my experience. We were there for the Fleet Feet demo run so we arrived a little early. We noticed that they didn’t serve food but allowed you to bring in outside food. We brought pizza from Panhead ( 2 blocks ) which we enjoyed with some cider and a flight of tasters. Our server ( Rachel ? ) knew how to sign Thank you which I appreciated. The male manager chatted with us for a bit. The beers itself, I would say they have a good variety to choose from. I enjoyed two out of four tasters. It would be nice if they expand their menu to include other Florida craft beers for comparison. And more cider options, not just one.
This hometown brewery is absolutely the best! It's always friendly and welcoming. The beer and company are great! Twining Tuesday with Rachel and Brent is always a blast. They even make growlers to go or pick up on the way to an event.
New Smyrna Beach Brewing exceeded my expectations. Rachel and the staff provided outstanding service, guiding me through their impressive beer selection with expertise and enthusiasm. The cozy ambiance and delicious brews made for a memorable visit. Highly recommended! We visited this location 3 times during our trip, it wasn’t because of lack of options but because of their great service that kept us coming back here. If you are in New Smyrna Beach and you want a good beef with friends or family this is seriously the place.
This place is awesome! As a beer lover, I can’t believe I’ve been living in the area and haven’t been here until today. The beers were great, the bartenders were friendly, fun and attentive, and the place was astonishingly clean to the point you wouldn’t know there is beer brewing right behind you.

This area of the beach is amazing!!!! It has parking available ($20 for full day in parking lot, $34 to park on the beach) a park area, basketball court, and a pavilion. This was my first time parking on the beach and the attendant was kind and there was a lot of room and space to park on the beach. I encourage anyone to arrive early anytime before 10am as afterwards it tends to get very busy. My family spent about 4-5 hours and it was well worth it! I look forward to returning and creating more memories.
$20.00 to park for 4 hours. Sand that day was packed down like a road. You can park on the beach as well but I walked 4 miles on the side you can’t drive on. Beach was super clean and had lots of shells that day. Parking lot bathroom was well maintained with real plumbing.
The neglect of this park over the last few years is pathetic. I cannot believe the parts of the playground that are broken have not been fixed, the ramp access has not been restored, all of the umbrellas have been removed from over the tables, and the swings have been removed from the swingset. And it has been like this for years. This was a really beautiful park I used to love taking my kids to and now it feels totally abandoned. Very, very sad that the city has not stepped up here.
The entire playground has been beautifully upgraded with a secure, all-around fence that locks in place, ensuring a safe environment for children. It’s incredibly accessible and thoughtfully designed for kids of all ages. There are tons of fun, new play features—everything from creative climbing structures to engaging activity zones.
Play ground was under construction. we were there on the 27th of April. 20.xx to park with c.c. only . Clean bathrooms beautiful view. Photo is before sun came up.
Clean park with nice equipment that's all shaded. Has bathrooms and showers so if ur coming from the beach u can rinse off or get clean before getting in ur car. Lots of parking an generally well kept. Will go again when the beach drive on access is open. Over all a nice park with good adminities that I would recommend people go to. Specially if some of the party isnt all about the beach.
This was a really nice beach, access to close parking, and bathrooms nearby. So why would I only leave a 3-star review, right? Well that's because this is a very short beach and while it's nice. If you go here at the wrong time you can basically get ran off the beach by the tide because when it's high tide there is basically no beach yes the water comes all the way up to the wall consuming the entire beach.
Major bummer the ramp is under repair! 7.30.2022 Update, 07/29/2025: no beach access at all, wiped out from storm few years back. We had to share the driveway access with cars to access beach. $20 parking inside the lot, $33 for beach parking.

Coastal nature site housing the ruins of an ancient fort whose origins are shrouded in mystery.
Slide 1 of 8
Mysterious origins to this fort located adjacent to a marina and NSB waterways. Really nice park setting, very close to downtown.
No one really knew its real actual history. It really doesn't look like something an Anglo would have built for a hotel.
A wonderful, close up look into some of the earliest known history of the state of Florida. You can walk right up to, and down into the base of the “fort” and wonder for yourself what it used to be. If you consider yourself a spiritual person, I will say, there’s a “vibe” you get walking these grounds and you feel like you’re really “in it”. Enjoy.
Nice little park in town. The fort ruins are an interesting site. There are also a few markers for other historic buildings that stood on the land. Worth a quick stop if you're in the area.
Nice Old Fort Looks like the top of an old castle 🏰 coqiuna stones custom cut then a weird motar to hold them together. Good view of local marina and river as well andnlots of grass areas for picnic or dogs.
I like the park , it brings back memories of being a kid and going to the movie theater on Canal St. It's alot nicer than when I was younger. There's 2 plaques with some of N.S.B. history on them, many benches to sit on. You can bring your dog but they must be on a leash and you have to clean up after them.
Nice little spot overlooking a big body of water. Also overlooking the marina here in New Smyrna Beach, FL. Great place to take pictures and to have a peaceful stroll with the family. Never crowded and the NSB police station/municipal complex is about 50ft directly across the street, so going here at night with the family is safe. Just be careful traversing the concrete pillars and big holes-this landmark is hundreds of years old after all. Overall a short but fun experience.
Wow what a beautiful park, surrounded by huge oak trees greatly landscape, great park for an outdoors event, located across the New Smyrna City Hall, in the heart of the New Smyrna downtown, the old fort is a great place to visit, while you do that you will be able to feel the breeze and the beach ambiance, wonderful blue skies, a most see if you're visiting.

We took a friend who was visiting from out of town because she loves art. She loved every second and spent time in every booth. There is something for everyone, no two booths are the same. Proud of our downtown area!
I was brand new to glass fusing when I joined LC and Tommy Tobey’s class, and I couldn’t have asked for better teachers. They are both incredibly encouraging, patient, and gentle in their approach, while still giving clear, practical instruction that makes you feel confident to try something new. Their enthusiasm for fusing is contagious, and they create a welcoming environment where beginners feel supported and inspired. By the end of class, I not only learned a lot but also had a great time. I highly recommend their classes to anyone curious about fusing—you’ll walk away with new skills and a big smile.
This place is very cool! I had never been here before and found it very interesting. I liked how the artists had their own studios and could display their work as well. There was quite a variety of artwork to see and purchase. I loved the building as well with the exposed brick and painted stairs.
Don’t miss this gem! We stumbled across this beautiful gallery while walking the historic district. So many great artists displaying their art. I wanted to buy so many pieces. Sculptures, wood working, oil, watercolor, pencil canvas’s they had it all even some comical art. The people are so nice and we even got to see some art in progress. Highly recommend this lovely place 🎨
The Organization and Individual Artist space(s) has made me admire the significance we have in the Diversity of arts; from sculpture, poetry, or visual.
The Hub is great! There are many vibrant exhibits here from many artists with stellar talent. TmThey have a wide variety of media: paintings, sculptures, Glasswork, and guitars. There are usually artists working there in the gallery studios. They have classes and other special events, too.
Awesome multi-studio location filled with the talent from local artists. You have to stop in if you love art! They also hold classes for youth and up at certain times.
This place is a gem if you are interested in local artists and talent. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, recycled/found art, pottery, and jewelry adorn the rooms and walls of this beautiful gallery. We spent about 45 minutes perusing before lunch and we enjoyed it immensely. I've been taking my children to museums and art galleries since they were little so hearing my daughters (18 and 14) and my 16 year old son discuss which paintings they admired or which sculpture was their favorite brought a smile to my face. The guitar exhibit was especially enthralling to my husband and son, as was the exhibit of drawings of famous rock stars/legends. The kids each purchased a card with a reprint of a favorite painting to remember their first trip to New Smyrna Beach. Thank you so much!

Sons of speed event with Billy Lane is a twice a year must for us! Great venue with all of the necessities to make for a pleasant racing experience. Old school Americana race venue is a step back into simpler times and great nostalgic moments.
We had such a great time at the track tonight like we always do. They did a kids Easter egg hunt and it was very well done and he had a blast. Definitely a great experience for all ages as long as you can handle the noise of the track.
I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I have but this is our new family fun night go-to place. It's a lot cheaper than the movies and a great way to reconnect with my kids. We all pick different cars at the beginning of the race to root for and cheer them on to victory. 🏁 🏎 Just remember your ear plugs and you'll have the best time here
Went here for the first time last night. Had a great time. The weather was t 100% cooperating but the track crew was on top of everything and when the weather stopped they dried up the track and the races went on without a problem was a great night. Will definitely be back.
Family day at the Speedway was excellent. Cheap to get in and a full evening of entertainment.
Do not miss out locals and visiters! So exciting! If you love cars and speed this is the place to be! Your normal snack shop with hot dogs, fries and burgers. Grand stand seating. COOLEST part is the little saloon nestled right in the heart of it all. Draft and bottled beer. Sweet lady running around with raffle tickets for 50/50 and prizes. Family oriented children friendly! ALL AROUND GREAT TIME!! CHECK FOR ALL THEIR EVENTS!
They are so friendly here! I highly recommend going to watch the races here. They went out of there way to be friendly with my kids too and made sure they had a good time.
We attended the Governors Cup 200. It was a great time and there was some great racing. This is a 1/2 mile banked track. It's a small track but it's a great atmosphere. The food and beverages were reasonably priced and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to attending more races in the future.
