Third Wave Cafe & Wine Bar is a charming spot offering gourmet coffee, sandwiches, pizzas, global wines, and craft beers. The outdoor seating area is like a garden paradise with palm trees, string lights, and lush greenery creating a cozy and magical ambiance. Indulge in delectable dishes such as Wagyu Short Rib Hummus made from scratch or the Spanish-style Shrimp Gambas.
Review for Third Wave If you’re looking for a fantastic outdoor dining experience in a tropical setting, Third Wave is the place to be! The atmosphere is absolutely stunning, with lush greenery and a relaxed, breezy vibe that makes you feel like you’re on vacation. We ordered the Greek salad, mushroom pizza, and Brussels sprouts, and everything was delicious. The salad was fresh and flavorful, the pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust and savory toppings, and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Third Wave is a must-try for great food, a beautiful ambiance, and an all-around amazing dining experience. Highly recommend!

This place had some of the best potatoes I’ve ever tasted, they were delicious! They were perfectly seasoned with onions, peppers, & corn. The steak was slightly over cooked than I prefer but I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed everything here so much I visited twice while in the area. The second time I tried the shrimp & grits, also delicious! The coffee here is great as well! Don’t hesitate to visit if you are in the area.

What a great spot! We were visiting NSB for a few days and a waiter from another restaurant recommended Third Wave and after our meal we could see why. I decided on the Sammy sandwich with tomato basil soup. Ok that sandwich was mind blowingly delicious. For real it was just perfect. The soup was amazing as well. My husband got the Steak and eggs and devoured it all. Very tasty. Third Wave is currently undergoing some construction so it doesn’t look open but it is! Super pretty patio. Definitely don’t miss this spot!

We are repeat customers here. The food is always good no matter what I order. On this most recent visit, we had the apple bruschetta appetizer, which was heavenly. For dinner, I ordered their fresh fish special, Blackened Red Snapper over shrimp and grits with chorizo. The heat was just right, spicy but not overpowering. Delicious! My husband had venison tenderloin, which was another special for the night. My daughter had Creste de Gallo, a pasta dish with seafood and a light olive oil lemon sauce. The menu changes frequently, so there is always something new to try. This is one of my favorite New Smyrna restaurants. Note: This place (along with most restaurants in New Smyrna) does not take reservations. There is usually a longer wait on weekends. We were seated right away on a Thursday evening on a cold January night, but this is not the norm. It was a full house and we were lucky. The food is worth the wait.

A cute gem of a place. So different and unique with great food selections. After lunch or breakfast take a walk upstairs to the coffee shop grab a perfectly made cupa Joe!

Beautiful venue with great outdoor seating. Drinks were wonderful. Staff were amazing. We went on Halloween night, and the Third Wave staff did not disappoint! Will be back!

So, when looking for a place to meet for a first in person date for lunch in New Smyrna Beach, Google Gemini recommended Third Wave Cafe. It noted one of the reviewers calling it "Magical" I was intrigued. So, since the overall rating were very good I gave it a go. *The staff was super friendly *We sat on the patio by design but also because the inside was being renovated. *The patio indeed was very nice. Plant filled in a very well thought out design. Quite inviting! One might even say beautiful *The waitress was excellent and gave fantastic guidance of the menu items *The food was VERY good and served nicely plated and in a timely manner. *** Was it MAGICAL? Well all the basics were perfectly executed, and the environment truly was beautiful, yet casual. ***Final thought: For me it was "Magical", in no small part to the sweet, intelligent, beautiful woman I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time and sharing a meal with. Thanks Third Wave Note: your mileage may very. LOL

The Garlic is a classic Italian restaurant located at 556 3rd Ave in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It offers an old-school atmosphere and serves traditional Italian dishes like eggplant Parmesan and osso buco. The restaurant also hosts live entertainment and has a wide selection of wines available at the Blu Bar.
Get there before they open and there is a line at 4pm! Great place and our waiter was so attentive. My husband got the 32 oz Ribeye and it was $82 Lol. He did enjoy it, and it was cooked to perfection. The bread was amazing. The Harlots Cheese is a yummy appetizer to get. My chicken fettuccine alfedo was delicious, too. I had a raspberry mojito that was so good. Highly recommend you try!

Wow! Immediately impressed first time walking in! The food, service and atmosphere is just prefect for a great time! Chip was our server and he was phenomenal. We also enjoyed the live entertainment provided by Mr. C Johnson! We ensured we left him a nice tip via, I think it was via Venmo. We will definable coming back! *Fair Warning!* This place is very popular, so be ready to wait for parking .

Another restaurant that I've been wanting to try for years. After tonight's visit, I'm really disappointed in myself for not going sooner! We had a fantastic time celebrating my mother's birthday at this New Smyrna gem. The Garlic does not take reservations, which can be good and bad at the same time. Luckily, we were seated immediately at a great table that's called "the Celebration table." (Couldn't have been more perfect for us). Our waiter, Jimmy, was fantastic. He did a great job making our first visit memorable. He started us off with warm bread and a large oven-roasted garlic which he made in front of us by smashing the garlic and mixing it with crushed black pepper, virgin olive oil and 12 year aged balsamic vinaigrette. The white sangria was very watered down due to tons of ice, not enough fruit, and tasted virgin. Would definitely not order again. However, all of our entrees were amazing. They each came with a houses salad, so Jimmy brought it out family style in one large bowl to share. The salad was fresh and went well with the olive oil and vinaigrette. I ordered the "Seafood Cannelloni" which contained an array of scallops, shrimp, and mahi mahi wrapped in fresh pasta baked with a newburg sauce. It was absolutely amazing! My mother ordered the "Pollo Marsala" which was sautéed chicken with shallots and mushrooms in a classic marsala wine sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes. She enjoyed it but it wasn't as amazing as my dish. My wife ordered the "Shrimp And Scallop Scampi" which obviously cones with sea scallops and shrimp sauteed in a light white wine and garlic herb butter sauce served over linguini. She said it was really good. We capped off our amazing dinner with the chocolate chip cannoli's. The Garlic is a really cool spot that has unique ambiance, non-traditional Italian dinning, with amazing food and service. It's easily become one of my favorite restaurants in Florida!

1st time visiting. Will definitely take the 3 1/2 hour drive to eat here again. (We did spend the night in the area as planned) Food freshly made. You can smell the garlic from the road. And I love garlic. When you plan a mini vacation to eat at a restaurant it has to be good.
Rodeliz P — Google review
Visited NSB for a few days and made sure to stop at The Garlic. We are so glad we did! Fantastic atmosphere. Fun and funky design inside and out. They had a talented musician playing. We really enjoyed that. Our server Bobby was wonderful. He knew his stuff and even gave us a list of must try restaurants in the area. Now about their food. The food was top notch! They start you off with amazing bread and a whole head of garlic with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We started with a Cesar Salad and it was delicious. My husband got the Bocce Ball meatball and he raved about it. It was very flavorful and gigantic! I had the Ravioli Bolognese. The raviolis were delicious and the sauce was SO good! Great flavor. Slightly sweet with a little bit of spice. We ended our meal with Espresso Martinis. They were A+. Also the whole meal was very affordable. We were shocked at how inexpensive it was. So don’t miss this spot!
Sarah C — Google review
absolutely love the atmosphere, inside and outside! our friendly and attentive server was Harrison. the food was great, but not phenomenal like I'd heard about. especially the roasted garlic with the bread which I expected to be garlicky but was not. I did love the lack of skimpiness when it came to the parmesan cheese! and the Chocotini was divine!
Lena T — Google review
First time here, celebrating our 20th anniversary. The food was incredible. Harlot’s Cheese pull video below. New York strip was perfect. Generous portions (we couldn’t finish the incredibly tender bocce ball!) and fun atmosphere. But our server Jimmy is definitely the highlight of the evening. He was attentive, funny, warm & personable - just made the evening extra special. I can’t wait to come back and bring our kids!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dining at The Garlic in New Smyrna Beach was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! 🌿✨ The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and full of charm — the perfect setting for an exceptional meal. We started with mussels al forno and flash-fried calamari in a vibrant herb marinara, followed by a family-style Caesar salad that was fresh and flavorful. Our entrées — from the bacon-wrapped filet mignon and chicken Alfredo to the lamb lollipops with sambuca-mint jelly and seafood cannoli al forno — were all cooked to absolute perfection. 🍷🍝🥩 A special shoutout to Eric, our waiter, who provided impeccable service all evening! He was attentive without ever being intrusive — clearing the table promptly, refilling our glasses with perfect timing, and ensuring every detail was taken care of. 👏🍷 Highly recommend The Garlic to anyone seeking an elevated dining experience filled with exquisite flavors, beautiful ambiance, and top-tier service. 🌟 #TheGarlic #NewSmyrnaBeach #FiveStarDining #ExceptionalService #GourmetExperience #FoodieFavorites #EliteHairDesign

SoNapa Grille is a rustic-chic bar and eatery in New Smyrna Beach, offering a selection of seasonal New American dishes and Northern California wines. The restaurant aims to bring the ambiance of Napa Valley and Sonoma County to Florida, with a carefully curated wine list that complements their menu. The establishment prides itself on providing more than just dining, creating an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere reminiscent of California wine country.
First time trying SoNapa Grille and let me tell you something, this place is something special. The vibrant ambience, friendly and attentive staff, the wine list (OMG the wine🫶) and the exquisite food just caught my heart! We had a reservation for the room upstairs but we started at the bar to check their happy hour menu. He had Aperol Spritz and ordered the short rib arancini balls. I was not expecting to be that deliciously insane! What a perfect start of a night out with Hubby. We then went to our table and the atmosphere was equally amazing! We ordered the Lamb Lollichops to start and Dear Lord that was spot on. That bacon Jam was to die for. For main, I got the Chicken Marsala and Paul had the Short rib ravioli. Every bit was an exhilarating experience, and with the wine, this was a perfect date❤️ We were going to ordered the bread pudding donut for dessert but we were full so that would be done on our next date to SoNapa. Thank you so much for providing us with this amazing culinary experience.

New favorite spot!! Best dining experience in a long while. All the food was great, not one dish wasn’t anything short of delicious!! And the Service is top notch. They seem to really hold true to what restaurant experiences are supposed to be- being taken care of! They do a fabulous job… thank y’all for such a great birthday dinner💝

We had the tile fish and it was absolutely delicious and then we had the donut concoction for dessert and that was just out of this world. The atmosphere is perfect. The food was great and the service was stellar reminded me of a Manhattan type restaurant.

One of our favorite spots for date night. The food and drinks are always great (recommend trying the Beef Wellington Crostini appetizer - you won’t be disappointed!) Service is also always top notch - our server at our last visit was John and he was fantastic!
Courtney M — Google review
When we walked in it didn’t seem so great because we stood there for a couple of minutes while people at the hostess stand talked amongst themselves without acknowledging us standing there. When we were noticed we let them know that we were early and were happy to have a drink at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was FABULOUS as well as our martinis. I wish I knew her name because she was great. Our table got ready and we headed upstairs. Our server was Rhiannon who was absolutely the BEST. She took her time and allowed us to take ours. The food was unreal. Our favorite was the Bacon wrapped scallops, so great that we got another order. I would highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed and we can’t wait to go back

Came here for some dessert and Amanda took care of us. She had a lovely aura and was absolutely so nice. We had a surprise picnic for my grandma at the beach and wanted some dessert. We ended up getting the rib ribs. They were a bit on the salty side, but for the desserts and the Service A+, so delicious and felt so welcomed will definitely be back again for Amanda.
Aiyana S — Google review
My wife and I enjoyed a very romantic dinner at SoNapa. We each had a cocktail before dinner from the cocktail menu. Very good! The server was very nice and recommended a few of her favorite menu items. I got the soda isl, fresh flounder stuffed w crab meat and my wife got a linguine dish. We each had some very nice glasses of wine. The manager, Eddie asked how everything was. He chatted us up for a minute and asked if we needed anything else. All around we grade a great experience. We live SoNapa!

We had a wonderful evening dining upstairs in your beautiful restaurant. There were eight of us and our reserved table was ready for us when we arrived. The food was delicious- fresh and hot! Our server, Megan, was attentive and very personable. We go to So Napa frequently and always have a great experience.

Norwood's Restaurant & Treehouse Bar is a nostalgic seafood spot with a vintage vibe and an extensive wine selection. The restaurant has a rich history, starting as a Pan Am gas station and general store in 1929 before transforming into the beloved eatery it is today. Guests can dine in a whimsical treehouse adorned with twinkling lights or opt for seating on the second-story patio nestled among trees.
Best seafood around! My friend tried she crab soup excellent! Full of crab! Then he had seafood pot pie soooo delicious! His son had pimento Mac and cheese with grilled chicken lots of food! Fantastic! Me and my other buddy had all you can eat shrimp so fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant! Open for brunch on Sunday as well!

I liked the restaurant, the food was ok. The service was ok, the place is beautiful, but I expected more from the food… I found it very heavy, and the “dumpling” we ordered seemed frozen and just heated up in a red sauce that was way too strong. My husband ordered a medium rare burger, but the sandwich came well done. He complained to the waiter and all he said was “I am sorry.” I didn’t really like it and expected more from both the service and the food It’s not a restaurant I would go back to or recommend I’d give it around a 7

We had reservations and were greeted with friendly, welcoming faces as soon as we arrived. Since we were waiting for our friends, we asked if we could wait at the bar — the staff was great, and the drinks were delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and had such a nice vibe. Once our party arrived, we were seated in the outdoor garden area, which was beautiful, especially with the perfect weather. Our waitress, Lex, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were excellent, and every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and high quality. From start to finish, everything about our dining experience was fantastic and worth every penny. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We go to this restaurant all the time. For dinner or drinks, it’s always fantastic. The Treehouse is beautiful with amazing view of the area and so fun to enjoy a cocktail and great music. We recently went for a Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner that was amazing! Fantastic food and wine pairings! Looking forward to the next time we go!

My husbands birthday dinner was so pleasant and Noah was a big part of that. He was attentive and so knowledgeable. From being greeted to leaving everyone was great. The food… omg. Escargot was our favorite app. We all loved everything we ordered. We can’t wait to come back!
Kris C — Google review
Great atmosphere, drink and service. The food though, could be better. The scallops wrapped in bacon were okay, the bacon needed to be crispier but was saved by the pasta/seaweed salad it came with. The coconut shrimp were just friend shrimp, didn't get any coconut. The dish got was the chicken gorgonzola, the flavors were great but I needed to borrow a steak knife to cut the chicken it was overcooked. The almond crusted grouper was also overcooked and very dry. The gorgonzola ribeye was served to two people and they were completely different sizes/pieces of meat. These were cooked closer to the ask but we're still overdone. The environment is fun, the drinks are good and they have good bourbon options but not the best place for food.
Jaclyn D — Google review
We came on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 with a group of six, and it wasn’t crowded at that time. Since it had rained earlier in the day, we stayed inside instead of sitting in the treehouse section. The outdoor seating is really the highlight here, tucked up in the trees and giving the place its name. The food was enjoyable, and next time I’ll plan for a clear-weather day to try the treehouse seating!
Ayumi S — Google review
We had the best time tonight! My husband, our friends, and I enjoyed excellent service from Allison, who took care of our table. She was incredibly attentive, offering her best recommendations from the menu, which helped us choose our food. The meal was superb; I had some divine shrimp, and for just $8 more, you could get an extra dozen—what a great deal!

The Sunday brunch has been described as phenomenal with its diverse array of dishes and impeccable taste.
Beautiful atmosphere, we decided to sit outdoors, the weather was perfect. Excellent service and food were delicious. I liked the Clam Chowder, filled with lots of ingredients. Bula Burger was an interesting choice, pineapple on a burger, fabulous, but messy, so big. Catch of the day was a nice piece of fish, cooked to perfection, really good fries. There was no room for dessert. Highly recommended

Lost Lagoon is a great place to eat! I have had brunch here a couple of times (which is amazing), but this was my first time for dinner. This is my friend's favorite place for a cheese steak sandwich, and I had the coconut shrimp with onion petals and fries. The shrimp were the perfect size and very crispy, and the onion petals and fries were so good.
Kristen H — Google review
First time visit and mostly great. 😉. We started with the loaded nachos that looked great and tasted even better. Sorry I forgot to take a picture. We both had burgers and my Philly was awesome. Rated great with perfect fries. Jess ordered black and blue (medium rare) and it came out well done. We usually never send back but we did and our server Janelle was super sweet about it. The burger came back and it was still a bit overcooked. Big burgers and definitely hand made. They were really busy and noisy but a cool spot. The other entrees look good so we will likely try again.

Great burgers in a fun atmosphere served up by kind, helpful servers - and make sure to try the Sunday Brunch Buffet! Our group of 5 stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon in April 2024. There was a short wait as it was during peak hours, just after 12:00pm. We were seated pretty quickly at a great spot out back in the outdoor porch area. My wife and daughter opted for the Brunch Buffet and my other daughter and I got a burger and fish sandwich. We were all happy with our choices and will definitely return!

Flagler Tavern, located at 414 Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, is a charming establishment housed in a historic 1920s building. The warm and inviting decor reflects the period it was built in, making it a popular spot for families, beach enthusiasts, and music lovers. Whether you're looking for surf 'n' turf or premium cocktails, this tavern has something for everyone.
My husband and I enjoyed eating lunch here after a morning at the beach. We sat on the roof and there was a nice view of the ocean from our table. The portions were very filling, especially the pasta. They have an extensive menu with multiple choices in each category, so you'll definitely find something you like. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend!

Nice lively spot in NSB. Great outdoor deck to people watch. the smashburger was two thin burger patties but definitely NOT a smashburger. Ya gotta grill it a certain way. Underwhelming and dry. Just read their menu description. It was nothing like that 😅 Smash Burger $16.00 Tavern’s signature Smash Burger is pressed or “smashed” onto a hot griddle to create a crispy crust and a juicy center, served with savory caramelized onions and our Tavern Smash Sauce. Beer selection is OK nothing spectacular. Sweet potato fries were good.

Stopped here for lunch. Haven't been here in 20 years. Still a great place to sit on the front deck for lunch and people watch. Your sure to find something tasty to eat. The service was the best. Melissa, our waitress, even made a cocktail not on the drink menu for me.

Went for a quick lunch before heading back to Orlando and the airport home. We shared taquitos and the fried shrimp basket was yummy. They even fry them up after removing the tails. Recommend for anyone hungry on the beachside.

We ordered our food and one hour later the waitress blamed it on a large party, but when we talk to the manager, she said there was no large party. The food was terrible. My oysters for the tiniest ever. My drink tasted like perfume. My friends food was so dry. We will not be back!

So me and the hubby went to Flagler Tavern in new Smyrna Beach tonight for dinner and drinks and to listen to some great music Our server was Mya she was very attentive and friendly, answered a couple of questions that we had on the menu our food came out hot fresh and fast !! Mya also came back to our table multiple times to check on us and sure if we need anything The manager on duty, Kayla also stopped by our table just to make sure everything was going great… As it was, we enjoyed listening to the live music and the drinks were out of this world. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great evening

This place has been an institution on Flagler Ave for as long as I have been visiting New Smyrna Beach, finally gave it a try last night - first the good: the service was quick and friendly. Now the rest: the drinks were weak and seemed premixed. The music was overly loud and uncomfortable the food was bland and also seems some of it was precooked. The prices also seemed a bit much. Glad I finally stopped here, now I’ll never have to go back.

Stopped by for a bite while checking out the art show on Canal St. Glad we did! The Pulled Pork Tacos were amazing and seemed like fresh ingredients. Nice place you folks have here!

I had a fantastic experience at Yellow Dog Eats! The outdoor seating was lovely—cozy, comfortable, and perfect for enjoying a meal on this lovely evening. The pulled pork sandwich was tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced, while the pulled pork nachos were an absolute treat—crispy, cheesy, and loaded with delicious toppings. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service—I’ll definitely be back!

We got the chicken breast curry salad, the veggies were fresh! Very refreshing and the portion sizes can do for 2! We also got the green wrap, if you like food that has sweet and salty combinations you will definitely love this wrap and this place! My husband is not too much on the sweet and salty side, so he didn’t enjoy the wrap too much but I loved it! It all depends on what your personal taste is, and what you like on your taste buds. So choose accordingly. If you have peanut allergies make sure you let them know! The salad and wrap we ordered both had peanuts, I don’t like peanuts in food too much but this was enjoyable. Also the curry contains coconut milk. It makes it a tad sweet too. Lastly the pulled pork sandwich was another level! There’s many places that don’t get the pulled pork right but this place definitely gets it! The pulled pork is not too dry neither too wet, so you will not have issues with the bread soaking and getting soggy. Portion sizes are generous, you get your bucks worth. I recommend this place if you’re looking for something healthy, light and refreshing. It’s worth it. Hope you like it and enjoy.

A unique spot with a funky vibe! The atmosphere at Yellow Dog Eats is definitely the main draw. It's an eclectic, fun place with a cool courtyard that makes for a great setting. The menu has some really creative and interesting options. We got our food quickly, which was a plus. The food itself was decent, but I have to say it felt a little expensive for the quality. It was good, but not amazing. Our server was very efficient and fast, but not overly friendly; the interaction felt a bit dry and impersonal. Overall, it's a four-star experience. The atmosphere is fantastic and worth checking out alone. While the food and service didn't quite hit the five-star mark for me, I'd still recommend it for the unique ambiance.

We were a party of 8 and we ate in the back courtyard. It was a chilly day so an outdoor heater was provided. It's a great atmosphere outside. The food was very good and the carrot cake is absolutely delicious. Our waitress Alyssa was great. So,friendly, helpful and on top of everything.

Photo shows buffalo soldier wrap. I’d recommend the salmon BLT or Mexican mutt. Good food, prices are eh. I would say some foods aren’t worth the price. Nice to come here with friends, back patio is always nice. Other reviews mention poor service, and when it gets pretty busy I would agree that yeah they might not be very attentive-especially b/c the have two areas to attend to. Food is for the most part, good..would come back but not frequent 👍 DO NOT get the brown butter brownie 🙅‍♀️🙅‍♀️

1st timers. Ordered for Lunch dine in- the "WHAT THE FIG" has crunch onions, pulled pork, goat cheese substituted for Gouda instead and delicious fig sauce(never had b4 but was like a sweet sour sauce like McDonald's) with a side of bagged kettled chips. Husband had a "Smash burger speciality" with red onions(he doesn't even like onions, but said that on this burger it was fine) with spicy pickles(so good he asked for a side pickles by themselves). He had a side of chips and salsa. IN HOUSE SMOKER, so the meat was smoked fresh and Both meals devoured.. forgot about pictures til like the 3rd bite, hahaha. Resturant has indoor and outdoor dining, a dog was welcomed also. Bre(our waitress) was helpful with helping us order. Loved the environment 👌🏾, prices were reasonable. WILL TRY THIS PLACE AGAIN..

Great food at good prices. The smoked fish dip is a steal, and very good with Rasta sauce mixed in. Added Jan 2025: I come here at least a half dozen times a year. It's one of my faves. Usually have the fish dip, but occasionally try something else. Great staff too. One of my top 5 places in the greater Daytona area.

Chases on the Beach is a relaxed oceanfront hangout that offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, burgers, and pizzas. The restaurant provides an inviting atmosphere with daily drink specials and a heated pool, making it a popular spot for those seeking great food and fantastic ocean views. Guests can enjoy delicious bar food and drinks while taking in the salty breeze and lively ambiance.
Imagine a breathtaking wedding on the beach, not in the sand! Our niece and her fiancé got married in the early evening with a perfect sunny day and an amazing ocean backdrop. The Chases on the Beach staff took care of us throughout the evening, ensuring we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and the desserts were sinful. We also enjoyed lunch at Chase on the Beach, which was equally perfect. The food and service were outstanding. Unfortunately, I was distracted because not many pictures were taken. But hey, go enjoy Chases on the Beach!

It was one of the best pieces of Mai I have ever had. My husband does not like seafood at all, and he is almost a whole piece of my fish. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. Drinks were great and service was so fast. Staff was well put together and very clean place. Has a very modern vibe to it. Loved everything about this place!

Chases on the Beach is such a dream location for a beachfront wedding! The ocean view backdrop is breathtaking, and the space gives you the best of both worlds—laid-back beach energy with enough structure to feel like a full wedding venue. From a photographer’s perspective, it was a dream to capture. The golden hour light reflecting off the water, the elevated ceremony space right by the sand, and the open-air reception area all created stunning, natural moments. The team at Chases was friendly and helpful, and the whole day flowed beautifully. If you’re looking for a venue that feels like a true Florida celebration—this is it. Perfect for couples who want to keep things elegant and relaxed. — Amanda Michelle Photo @amandamichelle.photo

This place is pure paradise! The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and the stunning pool right by the beach made it an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed a fresh, flavorful meal while soaking in ocean views, then spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool with the sea breeze in the air. The atmosphere is both relaxing and vibrant—perfect for a special day out. Can’t wait to come back! 🌊🍹🍴

Beautiful spot to be after a long day at the beach :) The food was okay, there weren’t too many appealing choices for us. But we really enjoyed the sweet potato fries they were soo good. We had Calamari and wings as well. Their burger was good. The service wasn’t great, the server took forever to take care of us and she didn’t check up on us often. We had brought a cake and she said she brought a knife and she never did, so luckily we had to use a knife that we bought from the store. We loved the atmosphere, and the scenery was amazing. However the service can be improved and the menu can be better as well.

Was taken by a friend who grew up here. His verdict? Extremely disappointed in how the food is. Food was pretty mid. Fried gator was extremely chewy and we struggled to eat it. In comparison, we went to JBS later than night and I ordered another fried gator dish which was much better. We ordered a bunch of dishes and the jerk chicken was absolutely disappointing. Service was good, but the menus were extremely dirty. Chilled 1800 coconut shots were nice and drinks were strong.

We got there at happy hour. 1/2 price apps and drinks. I haven’t been there in years so was surprised to see they renovated it was so pretty and clean. They still have the pool. We had the peel and eat and the Bourbon chicken satay, delicious

Latin American restaurant
Located on North Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna Beach, The Taco Shack has been a local favorite since 2010. This Mexican restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its funky window-serve setup and inviting patio. It's known for serving Latin specialties, including delicious tacos and Puerto Rican mofongo. The family-owned establishment is popular among budget-conscious locals and visitors looking for tasty food at great prices.
The best tacos I had in the NSB area while vacationing! Add this to your must try list of locally owned casual spots in the area. Counter style service, friendly people, fresh ingredients, outdoor covered seating, and a cool vibe. The fish tacos were amazing! Cheese dip was so good, made in house for sure! It’s only 2 miles south of the NSB airport. This is the perfect lunch stop for visitors, and the locals line up to get lunch here too. That’s the sign of a great privately owned restaurant doing it the right way, always. I’ll definitely be back when I visit again!

This spot was recommended to my husband and I and it did not disappoint!! The staff was super friendly in helping us order, making great suggestions! And we loved everything we got. We will definitely be going back next time we are in town!

Best taco spot I’ve been to in a long time! While vacationing in New Smyrna Beach, a cashier at Publix recommended The Taco Shack—and wow, what a great call. It seems to be a family-run place, and you can feel the love in every bite. The food was absolutely phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and made to order. Be aware, they do close early, and there was a long line when we arrived, but it moved quickly and was 100% worth the wait. The dining area is open-air with outdoor seating, and they’ve got fans going to help keep things cool. Such a great local find—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

This is a charming ocean themed Taco place. We ordered 3 tacos that were ok. They come with a meat choice, lettuce cheese, and tomatoes. There are a few tables available to sit in, and the parking is extremely tight on dirt. However, the charm on the "shack" nakes this a great place to go. It's definitely worth stopping in and having a bite!

Kirsten and I had taco salads. We thought that jalapenos came with them but they do not. I asked about that and the nice lady gave me a side of jalapenos and everything was good. In the future, taco salad does not get jalapenos unless you ask for it and the nachos do get jalapenos.

Awesome food, great atmosphere and amazing people. The local taco spot. The only reason not 5 stars is that the phones are always so busy and it's like trying to get thru to a radio station to be the 9th caller to call in a carryout order. Located just steps from the beach, The Breakers Ocean Front Restaurant & Bar is a cozy and casual eatery known for its American menu featuring juicy burgers, seafood, and a variety of beer options. This pink beach shack offers fantastic views of the Atlantic and is a favorite among locals. Whether you're in the mood for a simple beach burger or an overflowing NSB burger, there are seventeen delicious options to choose from.
This is the perfect place to go for lunch after spending the morning on the beach. Let's be honest you go for the location and convenience, not the food itself. The service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was super busy. The views are AMAZING and they keep the windows open so you have the fresh ocean breeze blowing through the whole place. This was the perfect spot to end our day and head home with full bellies. I recommend you stop in for some grub after a day in the sun!

Burgers and Booze with an Ocean View! The Breakers Restaurant on Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach—an iconic spot in an area that’s been around since the early 1900s. Located right on the sand with ocean waves rolling in, it’s a favorite for both locals and visitors. They’re famous for their burgers (and for good reason—one of the best in Central Florida!) and the vibe is pure beach shack meets dive bar. Most folks are in swimwear, shorts, and flip-flops, which makes it feel laid-back and classic Florida. If you’re looking for a cold beer and a great meal with unbeatable ocean views, this is the spot. Service is always fantastic—friendly, quick, and everything running smoothly for such a busy place. Always one of our go-to places when we’re in NSB!

Having a beach day in NSB and stopped at this little hole in the wall 😂 male bartender was awesome. Wasn’t able to get his name but he was attentive and made amazing rum runners (a must try) HH had $1 off. Place has beach views right from the bar. Great location and friendly staff.

We had wings, fries, fried clam, and corn nuggets. EVERYTHING was delicious and the price was great for 2 people. Casual vibe but crowded at 7p on a Thursday (to be expected). Parking is tight and you may have to park across the street or down the street. This is a hotspot right on the beach so no complaints there.. plus we were able to park in the restaurants actual lot. There was a young guy helping in the lot which I thought was a great idea. We will definitely be returning but will go between 8-9 as opposed to 7p.. crowd seems to die down a bit. Beach, parking, picnic tables, hotels, restaurants, convenience stores and other shoppes all in one area. Much more lively than the boardwalk in Daytona imo. Overall 10/10.

Enjoyable beach front restaurant with tasty food. Ordered a fried white fish sandwich that was cooked to perfection. Their breakfast rum runner was a refreshing dinner drink. My step mom had a taco salad with grilled chicken - and ate the entire thing. Our server was very sweet and ensured we were taken care of without feeling rushed. Will be back. :)

Nothing crazy, but a solid menu for some good bites and drinks literally right by the beach. The views so nice if you’re able to get a window table. Saved this spot for future NSB trips!

It's right on the beach. But I think that was the best part. To me, more of a place to go drinking beers with a group of friends... the food was just ok.

Stopped in for lunch after relaxing on the beach with my partner. We were greeted and served by Clayton. He was super friendly, attentive and all around a great service provider. Our good was good and the view from our chairs facing the ocean was beautiful. We'll definitely go back for more Pina Coladas and lunch again.

This place is a solid 12/10. came here twice within the same week with my friends and family and the service and food was outstanding at both times. Siding near the dock and seeing boats come in and out is such a great time. rarely do you find a place with a good view AND good food. This is a new favorite. We come here every week now!!! 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Outriggers. The atmosphere is outstanding - we sat outside (there is also indoor seating) and enjoyed watching the boats go by. The live entertainment was just right and made the evening perfect. The restaurant is also pet friendly and several customers had their dogs with them. Our server was helpful and friendly. We had Lobster and Shrimp Tortellini and Shrimp and Grits with Andouille sausage. We had their fresh made Key Lime Pie for dessert. Everything was delicious!

We enjoyed our first visit here. The view is beautiful and the staff were friendly. The only recommendation we have is to add some more vegetarian options to the menu. The only entry was a salad which was tasty but we would like to see a veggie burger or something added as an option. Also, there are no vegan options so something vegetarian without cheese would be a great addition as well. We love checking out new restaurants but it’s a lot more likely we will be back if there are a few things on the menu we can eat. The asparagus was really tasty (we ended up getting 2 sides of it).

The restaurant prides itself on serving homemade pizza with an array of delicious toppings. Visitors rave about the delightful flavors, particularly the meat sauce marinara and fluffy gnocchi.
ThIs is a local hidden treasure on New Symnra. Great pizza! They offer a variety of Italian food. They have gluten-free options as well. The place is small but there is a 6 person table top. They have a larger outdoor patio that is heated in the winter. This is a charming place with a full bar. The service was great. It does take time because all pizzas are made to order. Of your in a hurry than to to would be a great option. They also work with delivery services such as Uber Eats. There is limited parking in front of the restaurant. There is a larger parking lot that is free parking about a block away. They have nice, clean restrooms and a fun atmosphere that makes this a great choice for an evening with family friends and good food.

It's a hole in the wall, it only has 3 tables inside, about 3 tables outside which is covered but with heat index it was 109° and 2 small fans out there that didn't serve the purpose of nothing and 6 stools at the bar, but it's so tight in there, the owner was sampling wine from a rep in front of all his customers, which is very unprofessional, it's over staffed and the waitresses dress stinky, it was much better the 1st time we came in March then this time in August but I won't be back. The prices were a little high too, we got a calzone that had no toppings, so meat and vegetables are $1.75 ea, more dough than anything and picture is attached. They messed up on my father in laws pizza and had to remake it.

We went to get a pizza but once there, all the items sounded so good but then I saw the chicken nachos being delivered to another table and I had to try them. My husband ordered the seek and destroy. Cafe Verde is a vibrant and colorful Mediterranean-style cafe located on Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create a unique menu that includes a variety of vegetarian options, gyros, tortas, and Sunday brunch specials. Whether you choose to dine indoors or enjoy the outdoor patio seating, Cafe Verde offers a casual dining experience with gourmet-quality food.
We are local to NSB and routinely visit Cafe Verde. We love going here because their food is delicious, but also because they accommodate for many dietary restrictions. For these reasons, we decided to use their restaurant as our wedding dinner reception venue on Halloween. Chef June and her team were amazing in organizing and accommodating this event. The newly renovated restaurant is beautiful, with a tropical and down to earth vibe. Their food options can satisfy the carnivores, herbivores, and even those with gluten and dairy sensitivities. We are gluten free and plant based, which can be difficult to do for many, but they always knock it out of the park. Our wedding guests also had nothing but glowing reviews. Mary, the bartender, was flawless in her execution of complex, specialty requests. Lilly and Maureen, the servers, made dinner a thoughtless process for us and kept up with the demands of the large party. Chef Rudy personally oversaw kitchen execution for the event, delivering beautifully crafted meals. They helped design a table arrangement for family seating, instead of segregated seating, which was important to us and put out our décor in a tasteful arrangement. Overall, our dinner wedding reception was flawless. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Thank you Cafe Verde for making our special day!! <3

Great little spot in New Smyrna Beach! I loved the menu selection - honestly I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to order.. I was going between Thai Curry, Tina poke bowl, Bibimpap and Quinoa salad - I decided it will have to be a quinoa salad and I will have to come back several times to try everything else. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a great fusion of different ethnic cuisines. My salad was great! My husband ordered tuna poke bowl, that was very flavorful - the presentation was beautiful! We got a side of yucca fries garnished with butter garlic sauce; it was perfectly crisp and delicious. We will be back soon!

We checked out Café Verde after a local realtor raved about it, and I’m glad we did. It’s tucked behind a Mexican restaurant on Flagler Beach, with plenty of parking if you come in through the back. Even though it was a rainy day, the covered outdoor seating was comfortable and inviting. The whole place has a modern yet cozy vibe, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I went with the tuna poke bowl while my wife had the quinoa salad with shrimp, and we added a side of yuca fries. Everything was incredibly fresh, plated beautifully, and tasted just as good as it looked. The menu is really diverse, so whether you’re craving something light or something hearty, you’ll definitely find it here. The service was quick, the mocktails were excellent, and overall the whole experience was top-notch. We’re already talking about what we’ll try on our next visit. This spot is an easy five stars from us.

We were excited to drive down from OB. We got in early afternoon and only one other group of three ladies were at an outside table. Out of the gate on this day the service was horrible. The young girl waiting on us was more concerned with serving the table/tables that were ordering alcohol than taking care of our order. It was apparent after we ordered a couple sodas and an appetizer. The sodas were in the smallest of glasses and it was quit shocking. Our last visit the glasses of soda were in the same size as the water glasses. After we got our appetizer it was as if she forgot about us. She spent more time chatting with the bar tender. At this point she had two more tables. My question would be why would you not have another server working alongside the young girl that clearly was not a good server. The food was lacking the freshness that weve experienced in previous visits. I did not complete my meal. It was terrible. The server never asked if anything was wrong with my meal. No concern or care, other then getting us out of there. It's unfortunate for her, because my husband is a good tipper. She was basic, and she got basic. Hire some people that care about the job. We won't return and absolutely will not recommend. There's so many good restaurants around. Restaurants with great food and excellent service.

Yesterday, we had the best lunch at Cafe Verde. Having recently switched to a vegetarian diet, we were looking for a place that offered delicious food within our dietary restrictions. Let me just say, we are ashamed we hadn’t come here sooner. We dined outside under a shaded gazebo and even enjoyed a brief rainstorm. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered our drinks and food, and were astonished at how large the portions were. I opted for the Mediterranean Salad, and my husband ordered the Tofu 'Poke' Salad with a side of rice to make it a bowl. Let me tell you, we were both thrilled with the presentation, and the food was incredibly fresh and delicious! There were lots of beautiful plants surrounding the property which I absolutely loved! We will definitely return for another meal. We highly recommend this place for a date, or a casual lunch or dinner.

My husband and I recently hosted our wedding reception at Riverpark Terrace. From the very beginning, Beth, listened to all of our wants and wishes. Her & Mary were excellent about communication and were happy to meet with us multiple times. The night was absolutely perfect. The food was amazing as always and their team was so kind and helpful to our family & friends. We've always loved the restaurant and now it holds an extra special place in our heart. Thank you, Riverpark Terrace team!

We did the sip and stroll which had this restaurant as one of the stops. What great service! The kitchen had just closed but they were nice enough to make the tuna tartar for us and it was sublime. The service is very welcoming. We will definitely come back!

Saturday night 8 pm couldn’t be seated for dinner. But we found a little table at the bar and had drinks and were able to order food. Lots of locals and friendly staff. The bartender was so friendly. The food has a different flair and was excellent. We ordered the pork chop but was brought medium as to how they recommend. I definitely like mine cooked a bit longer but good flavor. The pear salad was 5 star

First time experience - went with family. Our server (Matt?) was really kind, attentive, and very quick to meet a request...the food was really special. The kitchen staff are superb; every single item was a joy to try. Definitely a place to visit often!

Had such a wonderful experience dining at the Riverpark celebrating a birthday and anniversary. The entire evening was delightful and delicious, I would definitely move this place to the top of your ratings. Already at the third spot for the Best dining while in New Smyrna Beach, but heads above many. The menu has a lot of excellent choices with a specific chef quality all it's own. We ordered the duck and the hearts of palm cakes accompanied with specific flavors to enhance these dishes along with perfectly roasted veggies. Amazing! Speciality Drink selection was nicely balanced and paired with our meals from the cozy bar zone of this adorable hidden house in a wooded location overlooking the River view Park. Don't forget to leave room to share dessert which is a dining experience all it own from this local area. I have to say, we have enjoyed fine dining around the world from South Africa's best in Cape Town to all point around Europe and South America..and the US., Don't leave town without first stopping here to be graciously welcomed by hostess, wait staff and owner, on the grounds overseeing to make sure you had the best experience. Thank you kindly, we will return next year for our annual visit.

The spacious outdoor deck offers stunning ocean vistas and live music, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the sea breeze.
Perfect at the beach option. Great outdoor area to sit with plenty of tables and outdoor stage. Inside seating as well, looks like can accommodate a larger party inside if needed. Partially Open inside and not a cramped feeling. Good service. Good food. Sandwich, chips, pickle slices. Parking is tight but worth it if you get a spot. Beach walk up access as well. Right on water/beach.

Toni and Joe’s is one of my favorite spots in New Smyrna Beach. It’s right on the sand, so you can literally walk up from the beach and grab a table — no hostess, just find a spot and settle in. Super laid-back and easygoing. The service is always great — the staff is friendly and on top of things, even when it’s busy. The whole vibe is relaxed and beachy, perfect for a drink, some food, and people-watching. Parking can be a little tight, but you can just park on the beach and walk right up. Also love that you can bring your dog on the patio as long as they’re on a leash and well-behaved. Great drinks, good food, awesome view, and just a really fun place to hang. Highly recommend if you’re in NSB

I took my wife and aunt to Tony and Joe's for brunch. They got the basic eggs, sausage, bacon and pancake breakfasts. I got (finally) a Bloody Mary and the Avocado Toast. First the good. The good was very good. The Potatoes were excellent and the Bloody Mary was very good. I liked the Avocado Toast, but it was a little salty and kind of plain. It was basically just mashed Avocado on toast with nothing else. It was still good. Now the bad. They only serve breakfast until 10:50. We got there about 10:20. By the time the waitress came to take our order we almost missed the cutoff. I ordered a Bloody Mary, and we all ordered breakfast. We got our drink orders, but no Bloody Mary. The waitress said she was waiting on the bartender. We got our food, so no Bloody Mary. Reminded her a second time. I finally got my drink as I was finishing my meal. I might have ordered 2 if I had gotten the first one an hour earlier. The atmosphere is great, being right on the beach. The food is actually pretty good. But the service was severely lacking.

When you find yourself in New Smyrna Beach, make sure to swing by the Beachside Tavern, a beloved local hotspot that perfectly captures the essence of beach life and vibrant music culture. This lively open-air bar is adorned with quirky pop culture posters and island-inspired decor, creating an inviting atmosphere for both locals and visitors alike. During those warm summer days, there's nothing quite like enjoying a refreshing drink while soaking up the sun on their fantastic outdoor seating.
Jeff White was performing when we were there. We only stopped in for drinks and to hear some good music and we were not disappointed. The bartender was on point all night. Super fast service and the mixed drinks were perfect. Can't say it enough how good she was. Being from out of town it was a great choice and we're happy we ended up here for a good night out. Great atmosphere all around.

Have not eaten here so no comment. The atmosphere is good because of talented bands that often play here. The negative, I am a local, but I'm not a regular. I waited at the bar and watched the bartenders wait on three people, that obviously they knew personally, while being ignored. Finally, a guy I was standing next to called the name of one of the bartenders and was finally served.

The restaurant is known for its prime rib and offers an early bird supper with various delicious offerings. Established since the 1940s, Blackbeard's Inn exudes old Florida charm with its cozy and intimate setting.
Based on the mixed reviews. I wasn't sure how the food would taste. However, I want to let you know that my husband and I had a great experience and delicious food. I had the Crab Cake and Shrimp Combination Platter, and I skipped the soup and salad for the second side, which was broccoli along with my baked potato. My husband had shrimp and T-bone steak with broccoli and a sweet potato. The food was excellent, it was cooked very well the rolls and the cinnamon rolls are great. For dessert, we had a slice of key lime pie, and it was great. We really enjoyed ourselves, and our server Ariel did an excellent job.

A fun place to relax and have some good seafood. Prices start at about$19 a plate but you get a lot for that. Soup, salad, rolls and one out two sides come with all the meals. The restaurant has many tables and a bar area, all decorated in a Capt. Blackbeard" theme. The staff are all upbeat and friendly. I don't think I've ever seen a restaurant with so many staff members. I highly recommend trying out this Awesome place.

We hadn’t been here in many, many years… And my wife was in the mood for prime rib, so we drove out to check it out. I have to say it was really, really good! The prime rib was on point… With so many places that serve average prime rib, this was definitely up there. I had one of their seafood platters, and it was enough to feed for people. I’m not really a fish eater at all, but the main attraction of the plate was a big fillet of white fish, which was absolutely fantastic. I really give them Full points for great food. I was surprised to see that There weren’t many people in the restaurant on a Friday night… Back in the day that place used to be slammed with a long, wait most nights. But regardless, the service was great, food is great and it was fun to be there after so many years. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere here is fantastic—cozy, rustic, and brimming with a charming local vibe. It’s the kind of place that feels welcoming the moment you step in. The service is impressively fast, making the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The food is absolutely top-notch. I had the surf and turf featuring a perfectly cooked New York strip steak paired with flavorful shrimp—it was simply amazing. Every bite was a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the care put into the preparation. One unexpected highlight was the salad dressings. They’re not just good; they’re genuinely amazing, elevating even the simplest salads to something memorable. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this spot delivers an exceptional dining experience with its great food, fast service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Off the Hook Raw Bar & Grill is a casual and comfortable spot located in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It offers a variety of seafood sourced from local waters, including popular menu items like oysters and Hawaiian style dishes. The restaurant is known for its fresh and local seafood, as well as the option for customers to bring in their own catch to be prepared.
Oysters came out quickly and were delicious. We also ordered chicken wings shrimp and chowder because we wanted to try everything. Timing was perfect because they brought them out just as we were finishing the oysters. Great service and amazing food.

A neighbor referred us here and told us to sit at the bar for happy hour and get some oysters. We are good listeners so we did just that. I'm so glad we did. The oysters were amazing. Vibe was super chill and the bartenders were so very nice. We came during happy hour and got $3.50 lemon drop martinis and they were super delicious! The next time we are in New Symrna, this will definitely be a go to place for us.
Jennifer P — Google review
Off the Hook Raw Bar & Grill has a comfortable neighborhood feel. It's the kind of place where you can grab a seat at the bar or in a booth, watch football on Sundays, and enjoy food that’s far above your typical sports bar. We’ve now gone two Sundays in a row, and it’s quickly become a favorite. The oysters during happy hour were some of the best I’ve ever had. At $14 a dozen, they were very clean, expertly shucked, and full of flavor. They came with three hot sauces: classic Tabasco plus two house-labeled sauces, a habanero and a garlic blend. Both house labeled sauces were excellent, with the garlic one giving a nice vinegar kick. The cocktail sauce seemed house made too, with fresh horseradish on the side. Our server, Mac, was outstanding! I'm not kidding when I say he's truly one of the best servers for this type of restaurant we’ve had anywhere. He was personable, attentive, and clearly service-oriented from the moment we sat down. Mac told us about the fresh catches of the day (swordfish and grouper) and helped us make excellent choices. He also shared his own love for fishing. With staff like Mac, Off the Hook should be giving out awards for service. We opted for the swordfish, lightly blackened and perfectly cooked. My wife had the swordfish tacos while I went with the swordfish in a sandwich, and both were tender, juicy, and delicious. She added onion rings, which were crunchy, house made, and spot on. We paired it all with Central 28 Show Pigeons, perfect matches for the oysters and swordfish. Inside, the atmosphere is casual and nautical. The booth seats are worn and have some cracks, and the tables have lost their finish, leaving them a little sticky even though they’re clean. But there are some great touches too: one entire wall features a colorful mural of fish that looks like it was painted by a local artist, the floor is ocean blue, and the ceiling lights feature images of aquatic animals as if seen from underwater. All together, it gives you the feeling of being at sea. We haven’t tried the outside seating since it faces a parking lot and the heat made it less appealing. If there’s one area that could be improved, it’s the wine list. It’s short and could use some work. Adding some value wines like a crisp Italian Vermentino, a Loire Muscadet, and a refreshing white Bordeaux would really complement the seafood menu. We tried the Campo Viejo Rose the previous week. It was aromatic and fruit-forward, showing strawberry and floral notes with a soft, creamy texture. While pleasant on its own, it carried a touch of residual sugar and leaned too fruity, lacking the crisp acidity that would better complement seafood. Still, the food and service are so good that these small shortcomings are easy to overlook. Off the Hook delivers excellent seafood in a laid-back, friendly setting. With food this fresh and service as great as Mac’s, we’ll definitely be back.

The Service was Great, and the price was right, less than I was expecting considering the amount of food I got! Kate is The Best, had the Royal Red Shrimp Dinner, and the Steamed Clams! They were both Steamed Perfectly, and Excellent! For dessert we had the Key Lime Pie & their Fresh Chocolate Chip Bread Pudden which they make fresh daily! Again both were Absolutely Delicious, and will definitely be coming back soon!🍻🤙

Look up. There is a fun ceiling decor above your head. For the food, it was decent for a seafood restaurant. I preferred this restaurant that was a little away from the coast to avoid the long waits.

Me and my sister went here tonight to try and it was great! Our server Mack was absolutely fantastic. He was attentive, answered our questions, and very polite. Our food was also pretty good. This is the cheapest we have spent while being on vacation, and we still have plenty of leftovers! Portions are great, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area; and ask for Mack!

Lovely place with a nice tropical vibe, and was hopping on a Wednesday night! Great service by Tristan and the food was delicious. I had the curry chicken stuffed avocado which was just the right portion and something different. Not too much curry as to overpower-- just right. My only suggestion would be to take the avocado out of the skin, much easier to eat, very easy to do. Hubby got the corkscrew pasta with Cajun seasonings and he absolutely loved it. It included chicken, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I tasted it and almost wished I got it, that's how good it was. $5 margarita was a $5 margarita (iykyk). Nice lovely atmosphere and we would definitely come back. They even have parking.

Visited last weekend with some friends and had a good time! The atmosphere was fun both inside and out, and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. We started with the goat cheese appetizer and the buffalo shrimp. My friends couldn’t stop raving about the shrimp, calling it the best they’ve ever had. For mains, my husband went with the Adult Tenders and the Teriyaki Filet Skewers, while I ordered the Veggie Patch Pasta with blackened chicken added. The dish was tasty, though the $8 upcharge for chicken felt a bit steep. Overall, it’s a fun spot worth checking out. While we enjoyed the experience, we likely won't be returning. Felt a bit overpriced for what it was.

Wow! Most amazing dining experience in Florida in three weeks. Donna was the most attentive and personable server. Multiple stops at our table and great conversation. Four other staff assisted and checked on needs as well. Food was quick, picture perfect and delicious. Plum sauce was perfect for coconut shrimp. Seafood platter was outstanding - fish fillet, clams, shrimp and oysters. Salads were huge. Two for one margheritas. 3rd time I've had a meal here, not really a fan this visit. The atmosphere is good, bar on one wall, tvs on all the other walls. The restaurant was clean, wait staff kind and courteous. Parking is fine, plenty of space. I stayed trying the squirrel soup, a conch chowder. It actually was pretty good, I enjoyed the flavor. Next, I ordered the same meal I had one time before in the past-and the serving size was shockingly less. This visit, i ordered the Thai shrimp wrap. The wrap was only about half full, and at that it was mostly spinach with some coleslaw with the outer wrap being most of the meal. I think there was only 3-4 pieces total of shrimp in the whole thing- and although it was a good flavor, it was just very skimpy on ingredients for an $18 wrap! Unfortunately not at all worth the price. Additionally, I ordered sweet potato fries and there was probably... 10-12 fries, Max? I've never had a small serving here, it was so odd. I did mention to the waitress it looked like some of my food was missing 🤦‍♀️🤣 The sweet potato 🍟 fries were good. They were well cooked, firm, not soggy at all. Wish there had been more than a few! I ordered dessert, the peanut butter pie. It honestly was terrible. I took a few bites and it just tasted like a boxed pie. It was heavy, and lacked good flavor. Peanut butter pie should be light and fluffy but this was a heavy, dense slice and just not good . I'm disappointed and probably won't go back, which is unfortunate. It's been fair to good in the past but now it's rather expensive with mediocre food. None of my 3 visits have I been able to say the food is more than mediocre, it's just plain average and priced too high.
Karen A — Google review
Been here twice. The first time my food almost never came out of the kitchen. Everyone else at the table wasn't finished when my food came out. The manager came over to apologize and gave me a coupon for a free appetizer on a future visit. The food was good, the apology was sincere, and so I made the return trip with a buddy for beers and the appetizer. I'll be back again even without another coupon. Nice place.

Shrimp scampi and fish dip was amazing and the peanut butter pie was PHENOMENAL! We will be back for sure!!!

I really went back and fourth on the star rating. My family and I stopped in our last night on vacation. First off the crunchy fish sandwich is HUGE, order a xtra bun and share it with a friend. The down side it was BLAND! Tasted like I was eating nothing. Filling but bland. We also had the wings with the lucky leprechaun sauce (all the sauces combined). Above average for bar wings (I consider myself a expert) my biggest complaint even tho the skin was crispy they were a little dried out. The sauce was unique but it made wish it was either more sweet or had more heat! Sever was very kind and attentive. Bill was a little high for basic bar food. Ultimately the lack of value is what drove the star rating down. I can see how the locals like it, but it feels like a tourist trap!

Nestled in the heart of New Smyrna Beach, Merk's Bar & Grill is a laid-back spot that perfectly blends good food and fun. With a cozy covered patio and an inviting indoor space, it’s the ideal place to unwind with friends. Known for its mouthwatering Frankenstein wings and Merk's Special burger, this local gem also boasts an impressive selection of craft and import beers.
I recently placed a takeout order from Merk’s Bar and Grill, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! The wings were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. The cheeseburger was equally impressive—succulent, flavorful, and topped with fresh ingredients. Merk’s truly knows how to satisfy their customers’ cravings. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious, high-quality bar and grill food. Can’t wait to order again!
Keith C — Google review
Multiple visits to Merk's while on vacation in the area. Great food, great folks, welcoming (albeit loud) atmosphere, varied menu, drinks with a kick. Little folks welcome up until 2100. Pool tables and games available, bait shop next door, it's a total package. Staff super friendly and service outstanding. Food quality superlative. All of that said, Merk's is an awesome spot. One I'd gladly visit again, likely many times. There's just one little issue and that's the Volusia County Sheriff. If you're driving a rental with out of state tags, they're going to see you as their ticket to prosperity. You'd best not sneeze or they'll be on you like stink on trash. So, while I'd love to visit this area again, my latest experience means my future tourism dollars will go to a more welcoming community than NSB. One Sheriff with way too much self-importance is more than enough for me. His $160 ticket will cost this community the future thousands of dollars my family would have otherwise spent in the area. Really a poor tactical approach, but I suspect they just don't care.

It’s a bar vibe and it’s done very well! Service was prompt enough with drinks being served quickly. I ordered the 10 “FRANKENSTEIN” Wings - grilled and they were cooked beautifully and served quick and hot. The wings are good sized wings so 10 were very filling. The flavor of the sauce - Delish!!!!! My partner ordered the Taco Salad Bowl and he gave it a solid 5 saying it was very good.

The house-made sauces are the stars, especially the white Zinfandel vinaigrette on my salad. Simple greens, but that dressing? Next level. Tried the Frankenstein boneless wings, killer sauce, wings were just okay. Fried mushrooms were solid, and I’d absolutely come back just to dip those in the Frankenstein sauce. Service was warm and attentive, with nonstop refills (even on water, which hit the spot after a hot-day walk). Definitely a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for laid-back eats with flavor that surprises you.

Awesome place to sing karaoke and have fun with friends. Great mixed group of people and Erick was awesome as the DJ/karaoke master! He kept the beat going and was a great back up singer! Made everyone feel like a rockstar!

Got the avocado bacon burger to go. The meat was disgusting, only ate bread with toppings. Fries were old and soggy, barley ate them too. The server was great, though.

Very tasteful & delicious food !!! Everyone on my table was very happy with their lunches. We ordered Shepherd’s Pie (best according to my spouse), Reuben sandwich with tater tots (excellent per my friend), Dublin double dip sandwich ( another hit per my other friend. He loved it) and a veggie wrap with fresh cut fries (delicious “melting pot of flavors”). We ordered a slice of cheesecake that was delicious. Very happy with their service. Ben was great. Very friendly and attentive. Congratulations to the chef for the delicious food! Job well done. Thank you everyone! Visiting from Michigan. We will be back!

I was searching for a place for dinner that wasn't a bar, but I was too late. Another place on last call recommended I stop here and so I did. I popped in on karaoke night and it was loud, but it ended up being a great night! The crowd was pretty small, maybe 15-20 max but everyone was having a blast and singing their hearts out, the atmosphere was surprisingly positive. The food was great. My friend ordered a Reuben and I went for the poutine and potato cakes. The Reuben was fantastic! I had never tried poutine before but I ended up really liking it. I love potato cakes, too so no complaints there. The bartender was running to our booth to serve us but our drinks were never empty despite her crowd, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The drink menu is extensive with everything from seltzers to cordials, so I doubt you'd have trouble finding the perfect drink. Overall, I'm very glad I came here last minute, what was going to be a regular dinner wound up being a very high energy meal. I'd definitely recommend this place for a good Reuben or a fun night out!

The menu at Tayton O’Brians is a true testament to the chef's creativity and passion for food. Each dish is a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that dance on the palate. From the perfectly hand cut homemade french fries, to the Ruben with real corn beef was sensational! Everything is homemade which I don’t think anyone realizes that what a gem! What truly sets Taytons O’Brians apart is the impeccable service. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the dining experience they provide. From the moment I was seated until the our last minutes before leaving felt like a valued guest, with every need anticipated and catered to. The attention to detail extends beyond. We also could go there and just grab some drinks at the bar. It was wonderful atmosphere.!

Down the Hatch Seafood Company is a bustling eatery located in a '40s fish camp that offers a wide variety of delectable seafood dishes. Situated by the Ponce de Leon Inlet, this long-standing establishment has been serving up its specialties since 1975. While seafood is their forte, they also cater to other cravings with options like their renowned She Crab Soup and Bang Bang shrimp.
Beautiful spot right on the water. Fantastic food, fantastic menu. Plenty of seating inside and out. Placed a to-go order for 6 people - everything was included. The manager even came by to ask the host that the order was double checked for accuracy. Very large portions. The 1-lb fish sandwich was enough for 3 meals. The only item we ordered that I wouldn't get again was the (out of season) fried oysters. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Nice place on the River. Had about a 20 minute wait for an outside on a Tuesday night. Drinks were good. Service was great. Food was a little disappointing. The portion of the Lobster Thermidor special was small. More like a stuffed lobster tail. Fish tacos were just ok. We will need to go again and try some other food.

Excellent service , the views of water and laid back atmosphere was nice. The cheeseburger a d fish tacos were delicious. The smoke fish dip and Parmesan oysters were tasty. Did not care for the Parmesan trigger fish, she crab soup, or the trigger linguine. The blackened scallops, fish, and shrimp plate was tasty!

Thats not correct. Fajitas were completely burned they over heat the pan understand it should be hot but this were burnn a lot not some ! We ordered some mixed fajitas, the smallest I have seen in any Mexican restaurant. The flavor was good but very little for the price. I'm looking at the other reviews and I'm not the only one who says that. The waiter Christian J was very kind.

SMALL PORTIONS. Ordered fajita and tortilia soup, no drinks, for total of $40. Bowl of soup was half full and kids size of fajita. Everything taste good but little disappointed. Usually Mexican pleases serve good amount of stuff on plate for half what I've paid here.

Generous portion of good food. Excellent jazz. We had to flag down someone to get service (it was very busy, and seating ourselves may have added to the oversight). Our server had a super attitude and did a great job.

It was a nice change to go to a Mexican restaurant at the beach. Food was prepared fresh and delicious. They were more than willing to accommodate my husband by changing out the sauce on his burrito. I ordered the pike bowl with was a nice size and prepared with fresh veggies and delicious tuna. Would diffently order again. Will make this a stop to eat in the future.

Stopped in while shopping in New Smyrna. Big mistake. It was the worst food I've ever had in my life. I don't know what happened to Clancy's. It used to be the best. But this food wasn't even edible and the service, not one smile. The bartender was rude like asking for chips and salsa was a problem. I will never go back to Clancy's. I suggest you save your money!! It used to be the best. And now it is not even edible. The fries a joggy mess. The salsa frozen cold, the chips stale, the Margarita was like syrup, the grouper fingers had no fish all batter, the beef taco was another soggy joke. Save your money and time, do not go in there!! They really need to do some soul searching on what business they are in because it's no longer Mexican food!!

Thai Mango is a cozy Thai restaurant that offers a variety of familiar curries and noodle dishes in a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors from their kitchen are well balanced and harmonious, with the option to choose the level of spiciness for your food. The dining atmosphere is unpretentious, but the food is amazing. Customers can enjoy great service and should not miss trying the Thai tea. Despite some minor issues like warm beer and small portions, many customers find the food delicious and reasonably priced.
We love to try new Thai restaurants as we travel and we were not disappointed. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our drink and food orders were also taken promptly. The complimentary spring rolls were hot and flavorful. The Tom Yum soup was a large bowl and had great flavor and the Thai Chilli Fish Sauce added just the right amount of heat. We both ordered the Thai Basil Chicken as our entree and it was delicious as well. The atmosphere was typical for this type of setting We will definitely return in the future.

The food was amazing!!!! Definitely the most authentic to my palate!!!! Their mild spice level is a true mild, it was spicyyyyy, had me sweating bullets, but it was soo good. We ordered the chicken larb with a side of rice. Usually taste better with sticky rice, but that needs to be requested a head of time. No biggie, the jasmine rice was just as good! We also ordered chicken basil fried rice which was amazing too!!!! If I had known they had the Thai salad with the Padaek sauce, I would have ordered that too! It’s definitely a must have if I’m in the area next time!

Ocean Breeze Tiki Bar and Grill is a beachside gem with unexpectedly delicious food. The salmon tacos and pizza are highly recommended, while the salads are also delightful. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the place is clean. Located on Flagler Avenue, it offers a stunning view of the neighborhood and the ocean from its upper deck. The atmosphere is lively, with quirky signs adding to the fun vibe.
This restaurant was great. We had a party of about 16 people and we let them know ahead of time and they were able to accommodate . The fried calamari was amazing, the firecracker shrimp was great too. I also had the crab Rangoon dip and everything was devoured because it was delicious! Food was out fast, and the environment was very relaxed. Sitting right on the beach able to watch the waves come in as you eat was just a bonus. Watch out this can be a busy place, we parked at the beach and paid for parking there but it took about 8 minutes of circling to find a spot!

The food we did get was really good and the service itself was great! Our server was attentive and punctual. The biggest complaint was just that we saw the ad for onion rings and got them but they were onion straws? They comped it for us so that was also really nice. They also stop brunch at 11 which is kinda early but overall not a bad experience! Very beachy vibes cute spot for brunch.

Five of us had lunch here. We sat outside with an ocean view. The drinks were strong and refreshing. The food tasted fresh and delicious.
D C — Google review
I don’t normally review restaurants, but want to be sure to give this one the credit it deserves. Three things stood out the most - one being that our server, Cecee (spelling might be off) was the sweetest server ever, and that’s coming from people who’ve served for years before and still pay close attention to service. She actively engaged in full conversations with not only us, but our daughter, too, which absolutely made her day, and ours. You can’t fake that sincerity. The second being that price gauging isn’t happening there. They’re selling crab, for example, at a reasonable rate— about half the price of anyone from here to Daytona. Third being that I could actually taste the alcohol in my cocktail, which I’ve found to be a unicorn situation around here. Yet, I wouldn’t have put a review up for 2&3 had it not been for number one, Cecee. You keep that one if you know what’s good for you!

Your favorite local bar and restaurant at New Smyrna Beach. Close to the shore. Get to people watch and enjoy sports, great food and even better drinks. We always come here. Great bartender and the atmosphere is even better. Highly recommend coming here.
Andres A — Google review
We enjoy dining at their fun swinging tables! The 2 handed flounder fish sandwich is absolutely fantastic! The kids' menu needs better variety; adding a simple option like a cheeseburger would make it much more family-friendly. Overall, Despite the limited options for the little ones, this restaurant always delivers a good experience and is highly recommended for the view and that incredible fish sandwich.
Mary P — Google review
I used to love the menu, it was one of the few restaurants on the beach with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options, I went there specifically for the veggie burger just to find out the menu was changed the day before. Not impressed with the new options, one of us wanted oysters but they were out, I ended up with a very small, unimpressive, way overs priced house salad that came with dressing in a baggie… what a disappointment, I used to love this place.

Came excited for an open jam night, but it felt more like Linda’s personal karaoke hour. She runs the whole thing with an iron mic—and unfortunately, she’s not exactly the next Adele. Her singing is… a choice, and not a great one. Worse than that, she clearly doesn’t want actual talent to shine. Most of the time was filled with her performing or choosing her friends. Newcomers barely got a chance to touch the stage, let alone actually perform. I watched multiple people with instruments just give up and leave—including Leo, who waited patiently for over three hours. She skipped him on purpose, then had the audacity to mock him for “walking out” as if he wasn’t right to be frustrated. Meanwhile, her son and daughter-in-law walked in and were on stage within 15 minutes. The favoritism was blatant—and honestly, disrespectful to everyone else waiting their turn. BUT—credit where it’s due—the trumpet and saxophone players were absolutely amazing. Her son also sounded great—genuinely talented. That is, until Linda jumped in trying to harmonize and completely threw it off. Her daughter-in-law? Stunning. She nailed an Alanis Morissette cover and sounded like she should be on Broadway. Easily one of the best performances of the night. But of course, Linda couldn’t resist jumping in and messing with that moment too. And someone PLEASE let Michael, the guitarist, run this jam. His rock sets were the only time the room had real energy and connection. The guy knows what he’s doing—he should be in charge, not sidelined. If you’re looking for a real open jam with community, fairness, and freedom to perform, this isn’t it. It’s the Linda Show, and unless you’re in her inner circle, your talent won’t matter. Very disappointing.

With its Caribbean-inspired cuisine and diverse selection of alcoholic beverages, it offers a relaxing atmosphere for families to enjoy their meals on the outdoor patio while observing marine life such as dolphins, fish, and turtles.
My husband and I ate here yesterday and I am TOTALLY pleased. To begin, we were immediately greeted by very friendly people and told our seating options. We chose by the water outside. What a great atmosphere it was! Alyssa (Alissa?) was our server and she greeted us with a big smile and great attitude. I'm a former server so I seen she got "double sat" with us and a large party. I acknowledged that she got "double sat" and told her we would be patient. No need! Alyssa was on top on everything from the very beginning. Our food was out fast, she refilled our drinks, did a "one-bite check back" and made sure we were completely satisfied before we left. We will for sure be back again. What a great place to eat!

Wonderful location and views. Watch the manatee and dolphins swim by. Service was good. A few entrees were almost cold. The Jambalaya, Alfredo, and Salmon entrees were very good. The tea was excellent! The Gator Bites were some of the best ever. Large tender chunks coated in a flavorful batter and fried in fresh oil. They had a nice little cajun bite. Nice clean restrooms. Plenty of seating.

We were on the dip and stroll and this place is one of the stops. The gator bites were one of the best bites we had all day. Not over cooked at all not over breaded. The fish dip is fresh and not too fishy at all. The service from the waitress was good and timely.

I came here with my boyfriend to grab a bite after the beach, the place was packed, so we decided to sit at the bar. The view is amazing here, this is why we decided to stay, the service was ok, but the food was terrible, very bland fish and the worst lemonade I've ever had in my life, not that I was expecting a real lemonade, but it was mixed with the worst tap water ice I've ever tasted.

We stayed at the motel so we decided to grab a bite to eat at the bar. I was a little skeptical but the bartender said the cook was really good so we went for it. Visit date: 11-14 in the afternoon Yarr, this be a beachside bar and deck with treasure buried under a rotten crew. The view be worth a king’s ransom, but the bartender on duty that afternoon near sank the whole voyage. No “ahoy,” no grin, not even a half-hearted nod. Just a face like a storm cloud and an attitude that’d sour fresh rum. Every drink order felt like askin’ her to scrub the decks by hand. Short, snappy answers, no eye contact, and not a hint o’ hospitality. Service was slower than a leaky dinghy in dead calm, and the mood behind the bar was colder than the deep. We came in ready to spend our gold and enjoy the deck, but instead o’ feelin’ welcome, we felt like unwelcome stowaways clutterin’ her rail. With a spot this good, the owners could have this place packed from bow to stern every day. But if they keep leavin’ a bartender like that at the helm, this fine beachside bar and deck will keep sailin’ straight past the real treasure. If the captains be listenin’, it’s time to swap the bartender on that shift or set some new standards, before the whole crew scares off more paying mates like us. Seriously, you should get rid of this lady bartender She’s horrible.!!!

Stayed on a Sunday night last minute. A little more pricey than I expected for a Sunday, $154 total, but cheapest in the area and ended up being a great choice. I spend a lot in time in New Smyrna with my kids and fishing. I live about 39 minutes away. I pass by Sea Vista everytime i go to New Smyrna which is twice a week. Its right on the beach with a sandbox in the middle, a nice quiet pool, nice tiki bar and stairs right to the beach. Beautiful night walking on the beach, especially with your significant other.... Very cute and clean room... only there to sleep, right??? Check it out... nice spot and will go back.

We used to love stopping here, but some of the female bartenders have major attitudes. One refused to get my husband a beer after he made a comment she didn't like. The comment was between a group of friends and non of her business. You work with the public and they aren't going to have the same beliefs that you do. I saw many people get overlooked waiting to order drinks or food while these stupid girls were on their phones. Not a way to run a business. You are losing regular customers.
Kitty P — Google review
We go here on and off and bring friends here for the atmosphere, and beach view more than anything else. The drinks and food are priced appropriately. I don't think I have ever had a bartender here that wasn't completely angry or rude. I have never understood the philosophy of piss off my customers, so I get smaller tips. How can you be so angry when you have this amazing atmosphere and view? Change your horrible attitude or go work at a 7-11.
Thomas F — Google review
Our third time here ( 4 years) hoping it improved …. Not so much … why does the staff have an attitude? We were sitting next to a couple who were tabbing out hoping the bartender would acknowledge us or take our order. Nope… she left then came came back to clean the bar…interrupted her and asked for drinks…with an attitude she got us drinks…with a menu (that I grabbed off the bar in front of me) I would have thought she would ask if we wanted food…nope we had to ask her to take our food order. I felt like I interrupted her day at work because I wanted a drink and food at a restaurant…who would have thought 😳

Nice beach side patio bar. Bar staff was friendly and helpful. Skip the posted drinks, they are expensive and mostly filler. Food was surprisingly good. I had a mahi salad. My husband had a blackened grouper sandwich. We hate old, fishy fishy but both of ours were mild and flavorful. I didn't give five stars because there is nothing "tiki" about this place except for the name.

A biker bar with great drink prices, nice people, and an amazing (and HUGE) pork tenderloin that feeds 3 people. The inside is tiny but they have outdoor seating. They had live music when we were there Friday afternoon, Davey was awesome.

The food was absolutely awful. The shrimp basket was from a frozen pre prepared bag . The grouper sandwich,,,, was absolutely disgusting. It was frozen and they defrosted it in microwave. It was watery and glassy. The best thing ,,, believe it or not was the chicken livers . If you can believe . Shocking I know . I also asked the bartender how was the fish. She said it was great . I will NEVER go back there XxoDP

Italian restaurant
Nestled just off Flagler Avenue, "That's Amore" is a charming Italian eatery that captures the essence of comfort food in New Smyrna Beach. This casual neighborhood spot serves up an array of delicious pizzas, paninis, pastas, and protein dishes, all complemented by a thoughtful selection of wines. Whether you're craving gluten-free options or traditional favorites after a day at the beach, this restaurant has you covered.
All pizza is the same, right.... not at "That's Amore". Not your typical pizza. Excellent combination of ingredients. Stopped there on a Monday night at 6pm. Plenty of free parking behind the shuffle board courts. Plenty of room for inside or outdoor dining. Greeted when we walked in followed by attentive friendly service. A must try place if not just for the pizza. The wife and I are going back to try other menu items. PS The photo of the pizza doesn't do it justice.

Service was very slow. Gentleman was working hard, but our lady server was never around. Actually saw her return from outside the restaurant after a 10 min gap. Wine was blandwere and the food was serviceable. Needed some spice and salt. Had the Chicken Marsala which was dry and bland. They were out of gluten free pasta, but advertised as having it. Caprisi salad needed more Basil. All service was extremely slow, took 2 hours, thankfully we were in no hurry.

Arguably the best Italian restaurant on NSB beachside. Nothing fancy here but good friendly service with tasty dishes. Also, this is the best stop during the monthly Wine Walk - good selection and super generous.

Great little Italian place. The ingredients are great and the food is amazing. The restaurant a nice contrast to the many seafood restaurants in the area. The service was amazing! Definitely recommend it!

Pretty good. Lots of menu choices. Very friendly staff. Small place so gets a little crowded. When you ask for butter for your bread they give you a whole stick! 😁

That’s amore used to be awesome. It has been awhile since we have been however there have definitely been changes that have not been good. Last time we were there the service was awesome. The server knew everything about the menu and recommended their favorites. The ambience was awesome and relaxing. Last night there was a radio station playing instead of quiet music like they used to have. The server never went over the specials with us while we heard another serving going over it. We asked for a wine list and his response was there wasn’t one. But no explanation as to why and no recommendations for anything. We ordered the antipasto but got about 8 pieces of meat and 3 pieces of cheese for $18 and pretty sure most of the meat was from publix. However the little mini peppers were amazing. My wife’s chicken was slimy and rubbery. My lasagna was actually very good though. The cooks and waiters were serving a rooster food on the front porch while smoking cigarettes which also seemed very unprofessional. We really hope they can go back to their old ways but we will for sure not be back until major changes have been made.

Southeast Volusia Humane Society is a remarkable haven for animals in need, where the staff's dedication shines through in every interaction. Their commitment to community support is evident, as they actively raise funds for various local initiatives while hosting fun events like Monday Bingo Night. Visitors often rave about the friendly and knowledgeable team members who genuinely care about each animal's well-being. Many have shared heartwarming stories of finding their perfect furry companions here, whether it’s a playful dog or an affectionate cat.
The staff at this facility were so very friendly and helpful. Most importantly everyone there really seemed to care about the animals. Crystal was incredible! She knew so much about each of the animals and spent the time to help us find the perfect match. I can’t remember everyone’s name but we thank them all for such a pleasurable experience. We highly recommend Southeast Volusia Humane Society to anyone! Thank you again to all of you!!

I'm only giving them one star because I didn't get to get inside and check things out. I was a little put off by the fact that I drove quite a distance to get there after reviewing their web page and it didn't bother to inform anybody that they were going to be closed for staff training. As you know staff training is a necessity and if anything it shows good leadership however if you're going to have a place that's a public venue and people are taking trips from God knows where to get there it would be nice if there was a heads up online. I will be going back out there in the next week and I will report back then as a side note there is a lot of space there and everything on the outside that I could see look to be in good repair and maintain and that includes the buildings the parking lot and the common areas. If the inside looks as good as the outside we're in good shape

We adopted our kitty from here about 4 years ago. She is the light of my life. Her name was Miley when we picked her up, but now we call her Milo. This place seemed to really know each individual cat well, and the facility seemed clean and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend supporting this shelter.
Meredith U — Google review
Went in to try to adopt a kitten. As I'm filling out the paperwork, the woman at the front desk looks up my address apparently on some appraisal website. Hadn't even asked to look at my ID yet. Then she says they can't trust what's on my Driver's License because of this appraisal website which apparently doesn't even get updated for new home owners over the course of 6 months. She starts saying I would need to bring in my mortgage paperwork for the house to prove I live there?? What a crazy experience

We aren’t originally from here, but my father passed away recently and we have had to come stay for several months to take care of some things. Our Rudder has been with us for his whole 11 years, but we knew he was suffering. I am so glad we found Edgewater Animal Shelter to help us through the process of his end of life. We felt so welcome and Jewely was so kind and supportive. She explained everything clearly and made sure Rudder was as happy and comfortable as possible. I just wanted to make sure I could thank them all for making one of the hardest days of my life as tolerable as they could.

I like the facility and I like the people I met there. My only concern is that they do not allow you in the back to the kennel area to look at the dogs. What they do is let you look at pictures in the front and if you see a dog that looks interesting then you ask for that dog and they'll bring it out... I have several issues with this type of system. They have two separate enclosures outside in the front for guests to meet the potential pooch and hang out. There was no pressure for an adoption or for the time spent with the canine. It also should be mentioned that they are a no-kill shelter Bravo to them! The grounds for clean and the observation / greeting area was clean and void of debris. There is adequate parking and when I left there I felt a sense of gratitude toward these individuals working so hard for our furry friends. I would highly encourage anyone looking for a canine partner to check the place out

After calling to see about helping my son surrender puppies from a litter his two dogs had, Dina asked for my son's information to supposedly see if he was in the city or county but in reality it was to get his info to turn him in for the adult dogs not being fixed. He wanted puppies but wasn't prepared for 11. They can spin this however they like but alittle compassion goes a long way especially in dealing with pets.

We can’t say enough great things about our experience at Edgewater Animal Shelter. My elderly mom adopted a senior cat named Liam here. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and gracious! What a friendly staff 5 stars for the for most of them and they had a great dog groomer here. The last time I went there, they had a new groomer that was horrible, she gets 1 star. I will NOT be bringing her grooming again. To bad the old groomer left, the photo shows her work. The new groomer was terrible. We have been going to Jan's grooming now and she's great.

Great food good service. Gonzo Burger and Gypsy Bowl were very good; the fish in the bowl was done to perfection and the french fry seasoning was excellent. The only thing was the guacamole had a bit to much lime. There is no reason not to go have a bite to eat here; we will be back soon!

Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Absolutely love the wonderfully fresh food and personable, knowledgeable staff at this place. I drove past here for two years blowing it off as a place I thought I wouldn't enjoy, wow was I mistaken. It's a reformed house, a joint by all accounts but it is inhabited by one great little restaurant!!! It immediately became one of my favorite places with incredibly fresh dishes!! After my first visit I immediately craved it and have not lost that craving. I literally crave it the very next day after going there. Have I mentioned how fresh everything is??? Just go! Don't think about how it looks from the outside, go in and eat well!!!

I've eaten here several times since Gypsy Fresh opened. Everything I've had here is quality, prepared fresh and unlike any fare at chain or franchise restaurants. The service is friendly and fast, servers are knowledgable on the menu items and the restaurant has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Each visit, the owner has personally come to the table to ensure our food was prepared properly and to our satisfaction. It's a welcome change to have freshly prepared, delicious food in New Smyrna! P/S - Be sure to order the fries!

Crimson House is a charming wine bar located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The cozy interior of the old turn-of-the-century house provides a comfortable and quaint setting for enjoying a wide selection of wines. The outdoor area features small tables and chairs nestled under a canopy of trees, creating a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Visitors can also enjoy live music performances, adding to the inviting ambiance.
There is little that can beat ending an evening at a wine bar. It was a nightcap of the highest order, the finishing touches on what was a progressive dinner of sorts, starting at the local brewery, migrating a few steps west to eat, meandering back to the brewery, and then aiming toward Crimson House a few blocks away. New Smyrna Beach is lucky to have all of this going on, and being such a walkable town makes it even better. I went with a couple of reds, first a standard issue Cabernet Sauvignon, and then one that more closely resembled a Tempranillo. Think dry and dryer. Crimson House sources their wins from across the US, as well as South America, so you’re never forced to drink locally if you don’t want to. Besides, it is hard for southern wineries to produce a dry wine unless they buy their grapes from the west, because the local grape—the Muscadine—is so sweet. It was refreshing to have such a nice selection from which to choose. Our family gathering of five sat on the front porch around a small table. The evening was perfect, the ambience on-point inside and out. Soft lighting on the inside, lines of Edison bulbs illuminating both the porch and sprawling garden seating area, and live music made for a delightful finale. We’ll definitely return.

Food was different but delicious. It was my first time there but it won't be my last. I loved the atmosphere! Outside with little lights twinkling, great setting to meet up with friends or make new friends, like I did. Hope to see you there?

Whether you’re looking to stop in and enjoy a great glass of wine or looking for an amazing party venue, Crimson House has got you covered. I organized a 60th birthday party for one of my friends, it was amazing! The owner, Linda, couldn’t have been more accommodating. So helpful in making food / quantity suggestions as we had a pretty good crowd. Party was on a Sunday afternoon which worked perfectly as there was already live music scheduled! We were set up in our own area outside under the tree canopy (beautiful) next to the outdoor bar making it extremely convenient to grab a beer or glass of wine. It was the perfect day! Aside from having an event there, my husband and I stop in regularly and always enjoy chatting with Linda and the staff who make us feel right at home and really know their wines! Whether you’re a local or visiting the New Smyrna Beach area, please don’t hesitate to stop in and check out Crimson House. You won’t be disappointed!!

I can not speak more highly of this venue and it's incredible owners and staff! I booked Crimson House to host my rehearsal dinner on March 17, 2023... St. Patrick's Day during spring break....needless to say Crimson House was almost the only venue willing to accommodate my family and friends of 30 people on this day. Linda was so communicative and helped with with planning our menu; which was absolutely DELICIOUS! My friends and family were raving about the food all weekend; we had charcuterie, meatballs, mac & cheese, pork sliders, dessert, and a variety of other small bites. We also had the bar available for beer and wine service; and it was so convenient and perfect for our group. Crimson House set everything up on the back lawn for us and kept me informed the entire time we were there. The outdoor space of this venue is the exact vibe I was hoping for; I want it to be casual, social, comfortable for everyone. This venue DID NOT disappoint. Everyone had a blast and we could not be happier with our experience. Thank you so much Linda and the Crimson House for a perfect rehearsal dinner!

If you like wine and Floridas natural beauty and history, this is your place. There is a huge backyard set up with small tables and chairs under a canopy of trees. The inside bar is in an adorable old turn of the century house styled for comfort and oh! so quaint. Live music was a surprise. A local artist with her guitar was just enough ambiance to blend in to our conversations. Great place for a after dinner date. My hubby was thrilled to find his fav IPA on tap too. Flagler Avenue was very interesting. We went on Saturday and didn't get there until 12:30. Big mistake. We found a parking place on the street by the skin of our teeth. We had been to the pay lots, as were waves of others, with no luck. I use a rollator now with long walks and the sidewalk was a huge chore. Very cool sidewalk. Bricks with names. Lots of bar/restaurants. If I had been spending the weekend, it would've made for a great bar crawl. It was packed up and down the street and barely any room left on the beach. Had a great clean handicap bathroom beside the beach parking. If you're younger like most were and have money, great fun. If you're older like we are, I fully recommend going on a weekday.

Flagler Avenue is such a fun spot! Lots of great restaurants, cute shops, and a relaxed beach-town vibe. You can grab a coffee, browse the boutiques, enjoy a nice meal, and end the day with a walk to the beach. It’s the kind of place you can visit again and again and always find something new.
