What an incredible experience at Castello di Amorosa! 🏰🍷 From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. The castle itself is breathtaking — every hallway, courtyard, and tower feels like stepping into a piece of Tuscany right here in Napa Valley. Our wine tasting was the highlight — beautifully guided, perfectly paced, and full of fascinating stories about the winemaking process. Each wine was unique and delicious, and our host did an amazing job helping us discover new favorites. The tour of the castle added so much to the experience — the architecture, the underground cellars, the medieval-style great hall, even the dungeon — all meticulously detailed and authentic. We ended the visit with a few bottles to take home and some stunning photos from the terrace overlooking the vineyards. 🌿🍇 If you’re visiting Napa, Castello di Amorosa is an absolute must — a perfect blend of history, beauty, and exceptional wine. My husband loves their red wines while I love their sweet wines 😍 We bought 23 cases of wines for our wedding ❤️ the best place to taste wine ever🍷✨ Our favorite wines: La Fantasia, Il Passito, Il Barone, Vermentino,
We had an absolutely amazing experience at this winery! My husband and I joined the tour on October 16, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Gonzalo was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He shared so many great wine recommendations and stories that made the whole experience both educational and fun. We loved every tasting and ended up buying bunch of wines and joining the wine club because the wines were just that good! Thank you for creating such wonderful memories for us — we can’t wait to come back again someday. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
A fairytale winery come to life! Touring Castello di Amorosa was like stepping into another world — part medieval castle. The attention to detail in the architecture is breathtaking — from the stone towers and grand halls to the underground cellars that make you feel like you’re in Tuscany. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the winemaking process. The wines were exceptional — especially the reds and the late harvest wines — and the tasting experience felt both intimate and luxurious. You can tell every bottle is crafted with care and pride. Whether you’re a wine lover or just looking for an unforgettable experience, Castello di Amorosa is an absolute must-see. 🍷🏰
Castello di Amorosa is fun, unique, and full of interesting history — just be prepared for crowds. Our tour was excellent and our guide, Cynthia (Cindy), was the absolute best! She’s worked there forever, had tons of great information, and her humor made the whole experience even better. The tasting was delicious, and we loved getting to walk around the castle afterward to explore and take photos. It’s a beautiful property. One tip: have your reservation confirmation pulled up on your phone when you arrive at the gate. Overall, a really enjoyable experience and definitely worth a visit!
Castello di Amorosa winery is located in this beautiful castle that is supposedly, according to some ratings and a poster on the entrance, one of the top 10 castles in the world. It is a small castle but adds to the experience of wine tasting. The staff is mostly Italian. Our host, Julio, did a great job at explaining the wines and making suggestions. We liked their red blend and their cabs. Good experience.
Everyone told us to visit, though we were not anticipating being impressed with a "castle" built a few years ago. We had visited the sister winery, V. Sattui, which was amazing, and hoped for the best. "Everyone" was right! We were impressed with the beauty and architectural integrity of the structure and then wowed by the wine! Truly remarkable tasting of 5 wines and difficult to say what was our favorite!
The castle is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos — such a unique setting! The variety of wines at the tasting was pretty good, and overall the wine was enjoyable, though there’s plenty of great wine to be found throughout the area. What I didn’t love was the tour — it felt rushed and not very engaging compared to others I’ve done. Since the castle was actually built in the early 2000s, it lacks real historical background, and the experience felt more focused on selling wine and memberships than on sharing any authentic wine history.
Wow, love this castle. Makes me I'm in England, Germany, or Italy. The grape juice the red and white one was so perfectly fruity and sweet and yummy. The tour is so much fun to explore with the family and friends. The scenic view is awesome especially the flowers and the grape vineyards. I would love to come back again.

I had an amazing experience touring this winery. Each tasting was excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The views from the winery were stunning, and the Gondola Ride to the reserve was perfect. We were able to join and become members, so now we can continue to enjoy their excellent selections! It was a memorable visit and definitely a highlight of our time in the vineyards.
Had an amazing time at this vineyard. It is a fantastic location with amazing views. The wine tasting we did was self guided and I loved seeing the process at my own pace. The views of the rest of the valley are stunning as you take a gondola up to their building. Their were five different wine tastings and I loved each one. If I lived in a state that would allow wine to be shipped to me, I would have signed up for Sterling. Definitely worth the visit!
We had an amazing time at Sterling Vineyards. The Gondola takes you to the winery. The property is amazing. Marcus was our professional wine person. Walking us thru the regions via the map and educating us about climate, wine skins, the weather, how grapes are picked and processed. All in all a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived and met Cathy, including all encounters with their team!
Everybody loves this spectacular structure on a hilltop. The gondola ride up to the winery is a fun ride. Views from nearly everywhere at the sprawling facility are breaktaking. Multiple tours and tasting experiences are available, with basic self-guided tour at $55.
Absolutely loved this vineyard! The gondola ride up to the vineyard was so incredibly cool and unique! We did not have a reservation, but it was a Wednesday, so we purchased tickets at the gate and made our way over to the gondola. The views are stunning along the quick 5–7-minute gondola ride. Once you get to the top, they give you 5 wine tastings, along 5 different stops, and if you join their wine club, they will reimburse your tasting fees. The wines were very good, and we loved the gift shop at the end. My gf ended up joining the wine club. They have a beautiful rooftop deck where you can hang and enjoy the views too.
I am so happy and thankful for such a wonderful experience, we celebrated my friend’s bachelorette yesterday, up in the Hilltop experience and Maurice was the cherry on top in our visit. Maurice gave us a detailed explanation of the region and wines but also tips on what dish would be the best fit with each wine we tried. Thank you Maurice we had a lovely time. I recommend the Hilltop experience to anyone reading this because you get to be inside with ac and enjoy a walk through the property. The last thing was the cleanliness of the entire property, it’s beautiful and clean. Looking forward to another visit soon.
Amazing winery, spectacular views, the gondola ride was great, and they are the most modern gondola. They can seat up to eight but even better with only two.
I had a great experience. Loved the Gandola ride up to the winery. The views were so relaxing and the staff was very friendly. Definitely going back!

This is the 3rd largest Geyser in the world and originally owned by a badass Woman Olga Kolbek, who observed the Geysers activity in relationship to seismic activities. The Geyser is active every 40 minutes, I'd recommend staying for at least 2 showings. It's a beautiful space, with chairs and benches to enjoy a snack and a beverage. There's a little museum with history on the earth and of Olga and her amazing life. There's also some sweet goats, llamas and horses to visit. Got there around 10am and stayed about 2 hours.
If you are looking for a place to relax with friends or just want to see something new, stop at this scenic site. Old faithful geyser is a hot spring that will burst out water like a fountain. It’s only for a few minutes, but it is beautiful to see. There are other activities on site including a geology museum, a petting zoo, and a bocce ball court. There is also a gift shop as well. Although it was not expensive, there are tickets on Groupon. It is children wheelchair friendly. Bring a picnic and sit down while you wait for the next eruption (around every 45 min). Enjoy 💕💕
A fun space to check out. Plan on bringing a picnic to get the most of the experience. Geyser went off ever 35-40 minutes. Kids really liked the llamas and goats. Games include boce ball and corn hole.
This was a great experience for your entire family! We arrived just as it began to erupt and the ushered us in immediately to see the attraction! Wow!!! What a sight to see!! we took pictures and as it began to fade, we went back and paid our admission fee, but walked back out to wait approximately 35 minutes for the next eruption that we were able to watch from start to finish, and it was truly spectacular! Granted, we were there on a rainy day, but the experience was very worthwhile! We have attached some pictures for you to enjoy 😎💯👍🏽
This was a lovely experience. It takes about 30-40 minutes between each. While you wait you can visit the pony’s and feed the goats. There’s also a tiny museum where you can spend time in. Free coffee was nice to have because we visited after a heavy lunch 😅
A fun stop to see a predictable "faithful"geyser within wine country. We went 5.21.25 and it was scheduled every 40 minutes or so. A lot of seating available while you wait. You can purchase food to feed the goats and llamas on site. I think it is worth a stop.
great place to be at spend the day. Picnic area swings petting zoo and relax. We had a wonderful day. Must see.
The geyser sprays every 20-30 minutes. There are alpacas, goats to pet. Great seating area and have some family time. For EV owners there are 2 free Tesla EV chargers at the property.

We booked a tasting here for my birthday and had a lovely time! The gentleman who did our tasting/tour was knowledgeable and kind with a lot of great stories. Beautiful grounds and wonderful experience ☺️
Wonderful tasting as well as host. We stayed for at least two hours and it was totally wonderful. We are european and used to great french and italian wines but this beat our expectactions.
We stopped by Chateau Montelena just to take photos since we didn’t have a tasting reservation. The property is absolutely beautiful — the castle-like building and the peaceful lake surrounded by trees make it feel like stepping into a fairytale. Even without tasting, it was worth the visit for the scenery alone. We’ll definitely come back next time with a reservation to experience their wine tasting!
Historic, Serene, and Unforgettable Chateau Montelena is everything you hope a Napa Valley winery will be—elegant, peaceful, and rich with history. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with a storybook stone chateau and a serene lake surrounded by lush greenery. It's the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. The wine lives up to the legacy. Their Chardonnay, which famously beat the French in the 1976 Judgment of Paris, is still a standout—balanced, crisp, and beautifully structured. The Cabernet Sauvignon and other reds were equally impressive, showcasing depth, restraint, and finesse. The tasting experience is thoughtful and unpretentious, guided by knowledgeable staff who clearly love what they do. Whether you're a longtime wine lover or just beginning your journey, Chateau Montelena offers something truly special: world-class wine in a setting that feels timeless.
We took the tour with our tasting and had such a wonderful time! Their property was gorgeous and had a great family history. Wines were great. Keeley was our host and her warm, welcoming personality took our experience to the next level. Definitely worth a stop!
We visited as a group of 15, and unfortunately this was the least enjoyable tasting we’ve done so far. The property and history are impressive, but the actual experience felt disconnected from what makes great hospitality. We stood for nearly two hours while our host gave what felt like a scripted monologue focused heavily on himself and the legacy of the owners. The tone often came across as condescending rather than welcoming, and there was very little conversation about the wine itself. When we moved to the kitchen for a food pairing, the setup felt overlooked. The cheese board was placed in a way that most of the group couldn’t reach, and there were bats and bugs on the food prep area. It didn’t reflect the level of care or quality we expect at this price point. This ended up being the only winery of the weekend where not a single person in our group purchased a bottle. We really wanted to enjoy it, but the presentation and hospitality made it difficult to connect with the wines.
The estate tour was wonderful! Keeley was very kind and we learned a lot from her about the history and the wine! The wines were delicious and we love how personalized this tour was. The Riesling and Zinfandel really stood out to us!
The property was beautiful, the wine was amazing, but Christian truly made the entire experience a 10/10! He was incredibly knowledgeable about wine and the processes involved in crafting different varieties. I had so many questions, all of which he answered in depth, providing examples that helped me better understand the complexities of it all. We visited during the winter, so it was quite cold. Because of the cold, we were able to enjoy a very intimate wine tasting with just my family and me. I never felt rushed or like my many questions were a bother! I would definitely book again with excitement to learn more from a host like him!

First time visiting yesterday. We did the cave tour and tasting which was just so cool to see. The cave tour was light walking and me being short, didn't have any problems with the height but there are little corridors that may not be fun for people slightly taller... the tasting included 4 sparkling wines and 1 red with a pairing of cheeses, dried cherries and apricot to combine. Beautiful property and such friendly service. I think the shop was very reasonably priced too. I bought a bottle stopper for only $8 but they had other items too like stone coasters and logo items. Would recommend.
We had a nice experience at Schramsberg! The tour was both educational and engaging—we learned so much about the history and process of making their wines. Christopher was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable and passionate, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The space itself is very beautiful.
We did the cave tour at Schramsburg. It was a pretty nice experience. We love their champagne a great deal. The cave tour didn’t blow us an away, but it was pretty good. Def worth doing!
Our experience here was truly unforgettable, we cannot recommend the Wine Cave Tour enough!! The staff were extremely knowledgeable about their history, wine varietals and craftsmanship! We booked the Cave Tour with Sparkling & Red Wine Tasting, Tony was our amazing tour guide as well as our wine educator. He did an amazing job walking us through the rich history and their own unique process of making sparkling wine! The Cave Tour here at Schramsberg stood out to us the most during our entire Napa Valley trip, and we left with a sincere appreciation for all the extensive care and labor that goes into each bottle! During our tasting we tried the 2020 Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut, the 2021 Brut Rosé, the 2015 J. Schram Blancs for the Sparkling. In addition to Red Wines from Davies Vineyards: the 2022 Dutton-Hallberg and 2022 Nobles Pinot Noirs as well as the 2021 McGrath Cabernet Sauvignon. All in all we truly had a memorable experience here and we can safely say that the 2015 J. Schram Blancs was the best Sparkling wine we’ve ever tried!! FYI - Please be cautious on the road up to the Tasting room, it’s a one-lane road and can be difficult to see cars coming down. Visited Schramsberg Vineyards at the end of 2024.
This was our 2nd visit, and we'll likely visit Shramsberg every time we return to Napa. Really great all-around tour and tasting. Our wine educator Jeff was equal parts knowledgeable and humorous, making a sometimes stuffy type of experience feel casual and fun, while still remaining very professional.
This was my second visit to Schramsberg. I loved taking friends back for the tour and tasting experience. Lots of interesting info on the tour, and a tasting inside the cave! It’s so iconic and memorable. Must visit if you’re in Napa. The sparkling wines are fantastic
The wine tasting and cave tour is an absolute must. It was incredible walking through the caves to learn how they were created and the work that goes into creating these spectacular sparkling wines. And there are pictures with every president from Nixon on enjoying their wines. It's the second oldest winery in wine country.
The cave was / is cool. Interesting - amazing. Beautiful property and great story. Sparkling Wine too strong for me / I did not appreciate so not 5 stars. I’m a fruitier wine guy. Great experience.

We had a great time walking through the exhibit. The stations were very informative. There are some stunning views of the surrounding areas of Mount Helen. There are comfortable seats at various points that provide a quiet place where you can observe nature and experience peace and tranquility. We saw and heard many birds and especially enjoyed the exhibits. The gift store also had so many nice rocks on sale.
We made a quick stop here before heading to a few wineries. The historical aspects were quite fascinating, and the trails were mostly well-maintained. While we enjoyed it, the admission felt a bit steep for the relatively short visit.
Great place to take a hike in the Northern California landscape to see typical trees, bushes, and petrified trees. Plenty of information on the petrification process and on the flora and very educational. Well cared for trails that can be steep at times. Guided tours are available but not necessary due to the excellent signage and map. We met a very well informed retired park ranger who works as a guide there. Great gift shop for adults and kids! Please visit this place soon as it is being sold by realtor.
We were here a couple years ago and decided to revisit with some friends. This is private land (actually it’s currently for sale) that has been operating as a tourist venue for over a century, and apparently been in the same family for almost as long. For $14, you get a map and access to the easy one mile or so loop trail. Dogs are allowed and free! We brought ours. There are lots of specimens of petrified wood, from fragments to long trunks along the trail and a decent set of interpretive signs. 3 million years old and well preserved redwoods (and one pine) is a pretty interesting site. A good hour or two diversion.
If the admission were less expensive, this would be a better review. It is a 0.9 mile loop with some impressive petrified wood specimens. More pleasant than Petrified Forest NP, but much smaller. $28 for two people seemed a bit much, but it really is a lovely place and the petrified wood is very impressive. If you have wanted to own a petrified forest, it is for sale and could be yours.
Would definitely recommend if you have seen the old redwood trees anywhere else in California. It feels almost unreal when you look at a 3.4 million year old fossilized redwood that still looks like the usual redwood tree trunk, but also looks and feels like a rock.
We stumbled upon the Petrified Forest on our day trip from Napa. Really glad we did. It’s definitely worth a visit to see these huge trees that originally lived thousands of years ago and got petrified millions of years ago. It doesn’t take that long to walk through, but you get even more…
Great little park put into your travel plan. Takes about hour to get good look.nice gift shop also nice little lady running store. Self tour.

The staff here is very attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable. We came as walk-ins and were able to get it. They have some great wine and a beautiful atmosphere.
This winery is beautiful. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a glass while escaping the midday heat. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and will engage on whatever level you choose. Make reservations as it is a smaller venue marking it even better to get away from crowds.
Frank Family Vineyards made a strong first impression on our journey in Napa. The tasting room is located in historic Calistoga, housed in a restored pale yellow craftsman home with a “park‑like” feeling around it. We sat outside for our tasting and it was a perfect scenery. Some of our favorite sparkling's that we tasted were Blanc de Blancs and Lady Edythe Reserve Brut. Kevin (our sommelier) was so knowledgeable, friendly and we would 100% recommend you request him for your visit! Our experience delivered more than just good wine, it was a full Napa experience: beautiful setting, excellent hospitality, and a wide wine range. If you care about being treated well, having variety (sparkling, whites, reds, vineyard designations), and visiting a winery with character, Frank Family is the one for you!
I called on Thursday morning trying to get a tasting, Jennifer the wine club manager said unfortunately the times I wanted were not available. She did say come on in to pick up your shipment and if they still can't fit you in, ask for me. When we got there she came and served us at the front bar. She made sure we had a wonderful experience! As a member I couldn't have asked for more. Jennifer is a treasure! Thank you so much!
Tom was an incredible host, we got to enjoy the Winston Hill tasting, tour Miller House, and try many exceptional wines. Frank is always a must visit location when in Napa Valley.
I can’t share enough about how amazing an experience we had visiting this winery. Sal was fantastic and engaged us in conversation during the entire tasting. He was fun, knowledgeable and an overall pleasure to hang with for 90 minutes. The grounds are breathtaking. I would definitely come back during our next visit to wine country.
We have enjoyed Frank Family wines for several years, so when visiting Napa recently we decided to stop in for a tasting. We learned that they allow the bringing in of food from outside, so we stopped at the Oakville Grocery along the way and made a picnic which we brought with us and enjoyed on their property prior to our tasting, and even during it. Our wine educator was very helpful and knowledgeable, as well as accommodating! He taught us quite a bit about the area and the wines they produce here. Their wines were all really nicely done and we enjoyed the tasting experience. The property is quite large and beautiful, with multiple seating areas outside and indoor tasting rooms as well. Definitely a place to visit!

We came to Calistoga to enjoy The Calistoga Spa. Grateful that we chose this Vineyard and Winery to visit. David and Jeff were so informative on the history of this beautiful Vineyard and Napa Valley. Tge location is beautiful, wine was superb. Thank you for an outstanding experience.
It was my first wine tasting experience, and it was amazing. Teddy, our host gave us tons of information and showed us around to learn about how the wine is made. The wine selection was top. Probably the best wines that I’ve tried. Thank you so much for the hospitality and excellent experience!
Everything was excellent! Wine, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, tour guide Jeff; all top notch. The reds were all exceptional.
My partner and I loved our visit to Vincent Arroyo Winery! Teddy (our primary host) and Jeffery were amazing hosts - funny, entertaining, welcoming, and very informational. The wines were excellent, and it was fun to learn about the wine making process, try a grape, and of course try the wonderful selection of wines. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were also delicious. We’re very grateful to have found this vineyard and highly recommend it.
We had the honor of enjoying a wine tasting with Theodore. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and shared so much knowledge about the winemaking process at the winery. We truly loved our time there! Highly, highly recommend! Wine is truly splendid!
Such a friendly and welcoming experience. We absolutely loved the resident wine dog, Rosie. She was such a good girl and pleasure to meet. Our tasting hostess was amazing. She gave us a tour of the production and the wines were truly tasty, especially their petite Syrah.
My wife and I stopped in on a whim a 2 weeks ago. We should have had an appointment but they were incredibly kind and helpful. Surroundings were like a place you never want to leave. Will definitely stop back with an appointment next time. There are many nice wineries in the area but this is a diamond in the rough.
Fantastic!!! Tasting was so varied. If you try the RSA Petit Sarah, your opinion of rattlesnakes may change. Just kidding. Friendly and knowledgeable, this is a vineyard worth visiting. Kudos to David for representing and making our day, as I started, FANTASTIC.

Wine tasting in May 2025 - wonderful experience. Five different wines, and our host was very knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the winery. Sitting outside among the horse stalls was unique and enjoyable. We took a break half way through the tasting to say hello to the horses - such stunning animals. Tamber Bey is hard to find across the country, so it was worth the tasting and the purchase afterwards. Their branded merchandise is also very distinctive!
Amazing experience for any occasion! We booked this tasting for my sisters bachelorette; she is a fan of horses and wine and this beautiful winery did not disappoint! As soon as you drive on to the property you are surrounded by the winery owners endurance racing champion horses and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. I cannot say enough good things about Robert! We were running 30 minutes late and he was so accommodating and very gracious. When we arrived he welcomed us with a glass of SB with our name on it which was a very nice touch. During the tasting Robert gave us so much knowledge about the wines, the winery and of course, the horses. If you’re a horse girly and love wine, ask for Robert, he is so fun and friendly! This experience did not feel like a regular tasting, it was so relaxing and fun! I will absolutely be coming back!
We love Tampa Bay and Kevin was amazing! We’ve been club members for about five years and never miss the opportunity to go to the actual winery and visit! If you are in the area and want to try the best of the best in the most serene and beautiful environment surrounded by majestic horses- this is your spot! Thank you Kevin for allowing us to come with poor planning on our part.
Very nice tasting experience at Tamber Bey. Good wines, nice people and pretty horses!
Tanner Bey is a gem! Robert was fantastic in helping us pick out the wines we wanted for a picnic. We walked in telling him our mission and he turned it into a delightful experience! He made several suggestions and we tasted each one, while he explained about the wines and how each was made. He was right on target with his suggestions, as we wound up buying the first 2 he suggested! We walked around after making our choices, realizing this was a beautiful spot to plan for a wine tasting or picnic. There were several seating areas that felt like you were hanging out in a luxurious back yard, as well as picnic tables. The wines were delicious! I was very impressed by the oak- barreled Chardonnay that was very mellow without a strong oak taste. We purchased the Sauvignon Blanc and stainless barreled Chardonnay that were perfect for our picnic. Robert was very thoughtful and gave us chilled bottles that he uncorked for us, since we didn’t have a corkscrew! We are taking our Napa wine experience home with us through amazing wine scented candles! They were burning in the tasting room infusing it with fragrance that enhanced the flavors. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Tamber Bey!
We had a wonderful time visiting Tamber Bey Vineyards in Calistoga. The setting is truly special - a peaceful shaded patio. Next to horses and a charming little garden. Cherilyn was incredibly welcoming and kind, and her guided tasting of the Signature Collection wines was both engaging and informative. The charcuterie platter was a perfect complement, and the whole experience made for a perfect sunny summer afternoon
Property is gorgeous. Horses are so fun. Wines are delicious and varied. I have no hesitation recommending this as one of your tasting experiences.
We did the picnic and wine tasting in the courtyard. We appreciated the shade and fans to help with the heat. The wine was great, but the staff and horses at Tamber Bey really added to the experience! Some of those horses were so sweet and calm, they should be therapy horses. 🤣 Shout out to our wine expert, Cher, for taking care of us. Cher was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Also we were able to bring our pup to the courtyard, so that was a plus!

As a member at Girard, we got benefits to complete a complementary tasting here. It’s a beautiful building and our host, Cheryl, was great at walking us through their history and the wines. We fell in love with their dessert wine which is t on the tasting menu but we saw someone else try it so we had to see. I definitely recommend a visit here.
Excellent tour with Wes. Really fun sharing the wine testing experience with other customers on the tour. Beautiful architecture and the cave was enjoyable. Great Cabernet selections and Hommage Chardonnay were delicious.
Had the best experience at Clos today! We were greeted and looked after by Wes who was absolutely brilliant and incredible. He was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. After tasting a few wines, we were treated to a tour of the cave. It was such a treat, and Wes was so sweet. Somehow by the end of the day, we ended up signing up for a membership! Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Wes!
A wonderful visit here with my family. It's truly one of the best wineries and tours we experienced while in Napa Valley. Knowledgeable and fun staff, delightful wine, and intimate cave tours. Please visit!
One of our favorite wine tastings so far. Gorgeous views and wonderful picturesque environment. It was very cool to look at the caves where they also host private events. The guy that was our host was very knowledgeable and knew what we wanted. He was also willing to switch out some reds with whites so we can also taste their rose and Chardonnay.
We signed up for the premium connoisseur tour, and we're fortunate to get Nick as our guide. It was just the 2 of us for the tour, so it was extremely private. We could ask 1uestions and really get an in-depth understanding of wines from this tour. Nick was so knowledgeable and helped make the tour extremely memorable. Going into the caves for a private tasting was well beyond our expectations. My wife and I enjoyed the wines a lot and the food pairings just set the tone. Highly recommend! Look for coupon codes online to save on your tours. Or better yet, sign up for their wine club to receive amazing wines AND get your purchase price refunded.
This was our first visit, and what a find. Arvind poured for us, and we were blown away by their exquisite wines and the beautiful setting. We had committed not to join any wineries on this trip, but Clos Pegase easily won. We both joined as we were so impressed with their collection. The facility is expansive and modern. Art work through with tasteful decor. There are multiple tasting areas indoors and outdoors the tasting area is near the vineyards with gas fire pits to add to the ambiance. Their food offerings well done and accompany the wine well. The staff is relaxed and pour generously. They are extremely knowledgeable and love to talk about wine. It was the perfect end to a full day of wine tasting. Reservations are recommended especially on weekends. I returned with a colleague a few days later, and we spent 3 hours there. She joined the winery as well. Looking forward to many visits over the years!
Absolutely beautiful winery with a great story of the original family's architectural plans. The vineyard is themed on a work and play balance. Even though the vineyard is corporate owned now the wine is still amazing. Thank you for the amazing tasting experience!!!!

I have had nothing but spectacular hikes each time I come to this park. Redwoods, waterfalls & fantastic views along the way. The last portion of the hike to the top of Coyote Peak trail is a bit intense. Definitely not enjoyable on a hot day (I did that only one time). We had to cross the creek at one point- happy to say I didn’t fall in! I recommend this hike- maybe not for beginners but definitely for moderate hikers. Pack a lunch & enjoy!
This campsite is quite the hidden gem! The grounds are pristine, staff was very friendly. Bathroom and showers were very clean. Excellent campsite with paths and hikes right from your spot. There is a large visitors center at the entrance too! This campground offers tent camping, yurts and cabins! Would definitely return and try a stay in a yurt or cabin next time. There is a pool that was very clean and perfect for kids in the summer. The location was the best part, so close to all the vineyards and restaurants along 128. Easy to got to dinner in one of the towns and then back to campground for firepit and smores! We stumbled upon this site and were so glad we did! Will certainly return!
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park is one of our regular hiking spots. If you like wooded trails, the Redwood Trail traces a creek from different vantage points. The Coyote Trail leads to a peak where you can see Napa Valley. There are cabins, yurts, and RV sites available to rent. The picnic area has charcoal grills and a bathroom/shower area. There is a pool open during the summer though we've never used it.
The Yurts are very nice and well constructed. The cabins are more expensive but nicer if you want to spend a bit more. The bathrooms near the parking area don't have soap but there appears to be a soap near the Yurts and cabins. The park is not the most scenic since I am used to California plants and scenery. There is a creek and lots of foliage but no waterfalls or very large rock formations. There were some suspicious folks biking around and no park rangers in sight so be careful especially if you are alone. Maintain situational awareness and don't let your guard down.
We car camped here with friends and our dog during the week. Our initial campsite (17) was pretty barren with little shade and no separation from the next site. We were able to swap to a better site and enjoyed our stay. Thank you camp host. While the park allows dogs, they are not allowed on any of the trails. This includes the short one to the nice creek that runs below the campsites. The location is great for visiting other spots in Napa valley. If you don’t have a dog with you the trail along the creek is nice. It’s actually a portion of the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Restrooms, trash, fire pits and sites are all well maintained.
We swam for 30 minutes, perfect. The picnic sites' bathrooms are the changing rooms. The lightbulb was out at the campsite bathrooms. We hiked over hills to the mill. A great time!
Bothe-Napa Valley State Park features lush forests, peaceful trails, and historic sites—perfect for hiking, picnicking, and experiencing Napa’s natural beauty away from the vineyards.
It is a very nice camping area that is kept clean and maintained constantly. It is expensive but it’s beautiful. It was 43 dollars for one night for the tent and car.

Late Dec2024 A bit under 1 kilometer stretch will get you through most of the main stores and attractions of this small town and it will take you through an eclectic mix of establishments.
We just arrived to Calistoga and were wandering down the street and stopped by to get some info on activities to do in town. Elyssia and Shelby are super friendly and helpful and gave us so many good tips on where to go and places to see along with some coupons. We ended up buying some useful “Calistoga” items that we can use at home.and went away with lots of good ideas of activities and places to explore! Good first stop when you arrive in to town!
A cute little gem with lovely gifts and great staff! Highly recommend stopping in while you’re visiting. Shelley is absolutely wonderful!
Nice people and beautiful area and shop. Very friendly. I recommend stopping by to ship and enjoy the area
Very friendly, has refreshing cold and hot water dispenser. Reasonably priced gift items and local olive oil! Win, win! Shelby was terrific! Thank you!
Great little find. So glad we decided to stop in. Had the best prices in town for shirts and souvenirs reading Calistoga ❤️
Such a cute shop! Reasonable prices and friendly associate.
Super friendly, awesome merch, great info on this adorable town of Calistoga!

The Sharpsteen Museum in Napa Valley offers a charming glimpse into the region’s history with detailed dioramas, artifacts, and vintage photos showcasing Calistoga’s early days and Napa’s transformation. Its intimate setting brings the past to life beautifully. It is free to the public, has plenty of parking and public restrooms.
We went on a weekend and it was not busy at all. The place outside was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms are in a separate building by the parking lot. We were greeted by a kind lady and she offered a tour but we decided to do did a quick browse around the museum (we were limited on time). The museum is Free to the public but donations are encouraged (sadly we have no cash on hand). We want to come back for sure to look at the history and artifacts closer. Great place; and highly recommend for anyone who loves history, loves to read, loves little figurines and artifacts, and just loves Calistoga!!!
Oh my, this little museum made my day! I didn't expect anything and was extremely surprised by our well done, and big this was. Very interesting about CA and the 1800s, great artifacts. A real gem. Calistoga itself was pretty disappointing because looks like any other little US town, nothing special, but this museum really added a great cultural point to the city. Not to mention, the lady at the entrance was very nice and friendly! :)
We arrived close to closing, but this is a great little museum! Especially for the visually oriented learner. Some hands on sections, but lots of 3 dimensional exhibits!
Free museum! You will learn alot about the history of Calistoga. There is also one of Sam Brannan's cottages that you can explore. He is the founder of the town.
This Museum is loaded with memorabilia from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. It is an incredible collection and really fun to see although in a way overwhelming. Is definitely worth a visit. They have reconstructed rooms and there are two stage coaches all setup
Got an impromptu tour from Lorne which made our visit quite enjoyable. He gave us an informative yet humourous overview of the Sharpsteen's and the town. The museum has some interesting artifacts and stories displayed. Its fairly small so it makes for a fun little side trip.
It's a nice place. I recommend 👌

Decided on a smaller family owned vineyard and Bennet Lane did not disappoint! Travis is knowledgeable, laid back and so hospitable; the moment you walk in you are family. Purchased the Cabernet tasting and enjoyed my time that I decided to become a member on the spot. Next item on my agenda is to reserve the custom wine making experience!
Bennett Lane ended up being one of our favorite places! Such a great atmosphere and the wine is phenomenal! We came with an hour left and Ezra took us on a tour all around the winery. All of the red wine we tasted was so good but the white Maximus blend was my personal favorite. Can’t recommend it enough!
A lot of fun on a beautiful rainy day. Ezra was a great host. A beautiful property. Sit outside if possible. Very good Cabernet and Maximus is a favorite.
Jason was exceptional in taking us on our wine experience. They have many quality wines, including their whites! I don't usually buy white wine but the quality of them made them irresistible! They have a wine scent game that was all sorts of fun! The grounds are beautiful and give you a beautiful, tranquil setting for your tasting! Do yourself a favor and experience this place!
Visited here last Sunday on a beautiful sunny day - we visited many wineries on our trip to Napa, and everyone agreed Bennett Lane was a stand out! Ezra completely made our experience, with his genuine passion and kindness. It’s refreshing to see someone of my own generation have such an excitement and eager approach to American viticulture. Ezra took us on a tour of the facilities, explaining the unique climate of Calistoga & the Napa Valley, picking, pressing, stainless steel fermentation, and barrel process. It’s no secret that much of the under 35 population typically dislike California Chardonnays, which have gotten a reputation of being full of toasty oak & heavily buttery. Bennett Lane’s ‘23 Reserve Chardonnay was a welcome change, and one of the only Chardonnays my whole group had ever really enjoyed, it was multi layered with interesting flavor profiles including pineapple and jasmine. Everyone has different taste & preferences when it comes to wine, and I often find California Cabernets to be one dimensional and overly oaky. Bennett Lane shocked me with Cabernets that were deeply interesting - great acidity, gentle tannins, rich jammy cherry & plum notes, notes of cacao and licorice, & long lingering finishes. I loved their ‘18 Cabernet & ‘20 Maximus wines. My partner signed up for their membership & I wish we didn’t live all the way in Boston, so we could come back sooner. Thanks again Ezra, you were so sweet & simply outstanding !!
John took good care of us. We thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was very knowledgeable, spending quality time with us. We loved all of the wines and became a wine club member!
LOVED our tasting at Bennett Lane! The wine was incredible, but our host, Ezra, made the experience the best in Napa. He patiently and enthusiastically answered all of our questions while sharing his passion and knowledge. Their interior space is warm and inviting while the outdoor garden is secluded and beautiful. The wine is so smooth and subtly flavorful. We wanted a full glass of each one! We highly recommend making the trip to Bennett Lane!!
We had such a wonderful time at Bennett Lane Winery! Ezra was an amazing sommelier, his energy and passion made our experience so enjoyable and memorable. He took great care of us and made the tasting both fun and informative. Because of him, this has definitely become our go-to wine tasting spot. Highly recommend!

Reverie Winery Estate 🍷 located toward the North end of the valley, East of Silverado Trail. Spectacular views, great wines 🍷 👏 We were hosted by Austin, very courteous and knowledgeable representative. They are a boutique Winery, so make sure to get reservations. Then give them a try 😉
We love Guillermo at Reverie II! If you’re looking for the best deep red wine you’ve ever tasted, you have come to the right place. This was our second visit to the property and it was even more beautiful than we remembered. The Cabernet Franc was a personal favorite – we had to take some home with us Guillermo took us on an ATV to the best view of the vineyards I have ever seen in all my years of traveling to Napa. He shared some incredible stories from his years in the wine industry.
I had absolute high hopes for Reverie when planning our girl's trip to Napa Valley. Found on a whim, their online presence begged us to see them in person. The grounds and estate are as beautiful as the pictures and the wines are so deliberate and thoughtful, I simply don't know what else to say other than you must taste them for yourself. This was the only tasting I felt as though our host was gauging just how much we knew or appreciated about wine, giving off the impression they would much rather pour for someone deeply rooted in wine vs the person out for a good time without a basic understanding of what it was they were tasting. I could sit on their vista in their adirondack chair sipping their Cab Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon every evening and never grow weary of the experience.
Best wine we tasted on our trip! Grenache blanc and cab franc were the favorites. Beautiful property, fun tasting room and experience. Joshua was an incredible guide. We learned a lot, had so much fun, and look forward to enjoying these beautiful wines for years to come!
I have visited dozens of wineries in numerous countries and US states and none compare to the tasting experience at Reverie. It’s personal, elegant, and educational. The added bonus is the drive up to the mountainside pergola. Guillermo, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The overall experience was perfect in every way and I look forward to returning in the future.
We had an excellent experience at Reverie, once again. Reverie is my favorite Napa winery and it’s a must visit when we are in Napa. My Son brought me to Napa for a milestone birthday celebration. Ryan Graves was outstanding as our Host. He is very knowledgeable and truly a genuine and thoughtful person and a joy to be with. Ryan made sure it was extra special for me which I will not soon forget. We highly recommend stopping by when in Napa. The wine and the staff are the best.
5-star winery that’s gives great personalized service. We said we wouldn’t join a winery as we have a few already & didn’t need another, but Reverie had us at “hello.” Don’t miss this winery when visiting Napa. Also their wine dog “Dodger” was very sweet as well. Thank you for the excellent service. We can’t wait to be back! Love your wine…
The wine is mediocre and the wine tasting was so weird. The guy pouring knew nothing about the wine beyond the name of the grapes which he read off the bottle. The only way to pay is with cash or by writing down your credit card number on a piece of paper. They don’t have potable tap water and the guy made it seem like an outrageous request when we asked for water. Just an overall odd experience to taste wine that wasn’t that good. The view is beautiful and that’s the only good thing about this place
