Beautiful waterfront park! There are small trails which any age group can access and enjoy the views. There is a playground for kids and beautiful trail for a walk alongside the river with beautiful views. Restrooms are available. Parking lot has decent amount of space.
We visited Waterfront Park during the summer, and it turned out to be a perfect spot for a relaxing and fun afternoon. Just two blocks from the main Leavenworth street, this park feels like a quiet escape from the busy downtown. The park is small but charming, with lots of shaded areas, seating, and clean restrooms. Although we didn’t have time to explore the trail, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. There's a lake within the park, and we saw many people floating down the river — a great way to cool off! There’s also a bridge where people were jumping into the water, which added a fun and lively vibe. If you're visiting Leavenworth in the summer, definitely bring a swimsuit and a floaty. It’s a great activity for both kids and adults — refreshing, fun, and free! Highly recommend stopping by.
River access and spots to enjoy nature. Only a road over from downtown, but offered a different environment. Nice place to take lunch.
Awesome place to tube, hang out by the water and enjoy nature. It’s especially nice about 1-2 hours after sunset in the summer. Parking lot is small but the walk is short. Amazon place for pictures or just to sit and relax.
Excellent mostly flat trails with a few restrooms along the way. A few playgrounds for the kiddos and in the fall, it’s a kaleidoscope of color!! You may even see a family of deer crossing the river.
Beautiful park. The Baird island trail was nice and small.
This park wasn't what I expected, and I was surprised with how many beaches it has. It would be better with more signs indicating the beaches, since I saw some people swimming at certain points and didn't know how they got in there. The playground looks renovated with interesting equipment and multiple types of swings. Portable toilets were at the entrance, but I found out later there's an actual restroom building. It smelled bad in the restroom, and I wish they left the door open if they could.
Waterfront Park is a peaceful spot to step away from the busyness of town and enjoy a slower pace. The playground makes it great for families, and having bathrooms on-site is a thoughtful touch. When we visited, the Sugarloaf Fire gave the park an eerie look in photos, but it was still a beautiful and memorable place to stop

Leavenworth is a charming Bavarian-style village in the Cascades, perfect for a fun getaway. Stroll through Front Street for pretzels, sausages, and cozy shops. Hike nearby trails like Icicle Ridge or Colchuck Lake(start as early as 5 am for less crowds ) , float the Wenatchee River, or sip local brews at Icicle Brewing. Families love the reindeer farm and nutcracker museum. Visit during Oktoberfest or the magical Christmas lights for extra charm!
Summetime at Leavenworth is fun too. Soaking in the sun at the Front Street park. Stroll through Front Street for some beer, pretzel, beer, souvenirs and beer (did I mention beer, just kidding). There is a nice gazebo and plenty of seating in the area. There was a local artists exhibition when we visited. Good food is on other streets and not on Front Street. You will love the vibe both in summer and winter.
We arrived a bit too early. The town of Leavenworth is preparing for Octoberfest. All in all it was a great visit and very scenic place.
Very good experience. The beauty and atmosphere attracted even my kids. Yhe horse ride was also good
Its a really beautiful place to spend a few hours in. There's literally always something new, someplace new to go/look at. You won't be bored here.
Great shopping, great food, drinks, beautiful scenery. I loved the Christmas store, the hat store. There were artists selling there wares set up on the weekend in tents in the park with jewelry, photos, garden pieces.
Can't beat the Breakfast at the park for $10. Lots of shops in the area. Coffee, Carmel Apples, Ice Cream, Beer, Food, etc.
Beautiful park and gazebo in downtown. This is the "hangout" for visitors. There is an art show most summer weekends. It's packed during the holidays but very beautifully decorated. At least once in your lifetime a visit to Leavenworth in the winter is a must!

One of the few places open late on a Sunday night. Helpful people at the counter to order beers, cider, and food. Only a few ciders available, but possibly the best one I had all week, crisp and flavorful. Tomato soup and turkey sandwich were very good. Pretzel was pretty good. Great atmosphere inside.
I liked their ambience and vibes! Actually I don't drink, the purpose I had to be there was that the drinkers needed a driver to send them back to the hotel. I was thrilled to be there! People came in and out holding various beers, cheered for each other, talked loud and laughed like crazy, I could feel the happiness with them. It was a worry free zone, I think we all needed this moment!
The pretzel and beer we got were very good. I wasn't a fan of the beer cheese, but my husband loved it. They have a nice outside seating area for dogs. Very kind staff.
Love the vibes of this place and the beer. IPA was strong and worth every drop. I love the gondola. It was a great experience. It is a little wobby when you get on it, so don't spill your drink. Great place to hang out and get a good feel of the nice and cold weather of Leavenworth with their heater and fireplaces in the outdoor setting.
We wanted some takeaway beer - something quite specific. Friendly guy behind the bar gave us some tasters. We chatted about beers he liked what we were after - we went away happy. Nice place, nice beer, nice service. Chill vibes even though it was Labor Day and the town was really busy. Enjoying my beer on my road trip.

The outdoor patio is dog-friendly and perfect for people-watching, sunshine, or cozying up under the heaters during colder months. What makes Icicle Brewing truly special is the atmosphere. Good beers but the food is below average. The grilled cheese had such a funky taste to it - definitely not quality cheese at all. The tomato bisque was nice but too creamy for my taste. The pretzel is honestly the only food that seems worth it here! Beers were nice too.
This place is awesome. By far the best brewery in the area. They have old ski gondolas upstairs that you can sit and drink beer in. They rock a little bit so if your beer is full take a few sips to avoid spilling. The beer tasted fantastic and the selection was awesome. They have beer flights that you can order 4 tasters at a time. This is a must do! The staff is incredible and know their beer well. This is a must stop in the area. Awesome brewery!

Highly recommend anyone visiting Leavenworth to experience the Reindeer Farm. Buy your ticket in advance online for the time slot and day. Holidays will book fast and weekends too. Show up, checkin and get ready for a unique time! You will also be supporting the family owned business. The owner was great and walked us through the educational and safety protocols before going in with the Reindeer herd to feed and pet them. You’ll also get to feed chickens, see camels, bunnies, and meet their friendly barn cats. They have a little food and drink stand where you can try some unique items or familiar ones. They have several picture spots set up and a full gift shoppe on site. Visiting the farm was the highlight of my weekend trip to Leavenworth (along with riding the Alpine coaster in a separate location nearby)!
This may just be our favorite trip memory out of any vacation we've ever taken! What an incredible experience this farm offers. They've left no detail unthought of and I appreciate that it was a multigenerational family business. The gift shop was amazing and even though it was October when we visited, we sure felt like we were in the middle of Christmas! Great photo opportunities. Delicious, authentic food on site. Learned so much and experienced so many new things! Unforgettable time at Leavenworth Reindeer Farm! I don't want to give away too much so go and experience it for yourself!
This was probably our favorite thing we did while we were in Leavenworth. Even though we went in October, it still had this really magical feel. We really loved it here! The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable, and it's also a family-owned business. As a city girl, I have little experience with animals, so I found myself initially uncomfortable. However, they made sure I felt welcome and comfortable from the beginning. You can really tell that they take good care of their animals. Despite the many animals on the farm, it remained incredibly neat and clean, which is a real bonus. I'll absolutely return soon. It's a must for anyone visiting Leavenworth or Washington state.
We had so much fun! They really take care of these reindeers. It's not at all one of those places where you feel bad about the animals, these guys are very happy and the family is kept together. You really learn a ton about reindeer. There are also adorable cats, turkeys, and chickens.
Such a great place! So much fun interacting with their reindeer and of course the babies! Hansel & Gretel are just darling! Loved the informational video before going in with those wonderful animals! The camels were such a cool part of the place too!
If you're visiting Leavenworth for the first time, one of the spots you definitely should visit is this reindeer farm! A family business where you can see the love and support that the family has on the animals. A very fun place for people of all ages!! We got to see the cute reindeer and feed them while being able to learn more about them and ask questions about how they are raised. The staff are so friendly and genuinely enjoy being there. So I think it's one of the best spots to visit in Leavenworth!
My friend and I had a blast feeding these gentle creatures. Safety was #1 and there were several caretakers who guided both people and deer and took photos with the "safer" of the reindeer. Be prepared for a ten minute video in the beginning which advertises products, explains reindeer anatomy and behavior, and discusses safety.
This is a must stop! I always come in winter but had family in town and wanted them to visit. It is rutting season so some reindeers are blocked off and the reindeers are scraping their antlers to shed the fuzz so they do look bloody (heads up for kids). The family that runs this farm is amazing and welcoming and full of information that shows how truly amazing reindeer are! We got to see the baby twin reindeer! Super rare! When you’re waiting to go in they have feed to feed the chicken and turkeys and the barn cats were out and I got to pet them for a while. The gift shop is gorgeous and they have a little food and drink shack. Decent amount of parking.

Great trail lots to see and do for pics. We left Wenatchee it was 87 at the trail it was in the mid70,s. Lot of breeze and shade. It’s a thick forest with the water close by Easy hike with an occasional tree across the trail from time to time. A water fountain and a faucet to fill water bottles located at the main bridge. It’s cold well water a bathroom is also there. There’s a gravel road the last few miles, lots of cars there so you don’t need a truck.
What a beautiful trail. Very well maintained. Easy map to follow. We used the all trails app and had no issues following. I’ll definitely be back here. The views are epic. The rushing water is calming. Dog friendly. You can go either direction. It’s a loop which is always nice.
Loved this 4-mile trail — very easy to follow. The temperature was over 90°F, but tks for the plentiful shade. Next time, I’ll bring a towel to put on my shoulders to help cool down. Also, note that the last few miles leading to the trailhead are unpaved and a bit bumpy — be prepared for that.
Great loop around a scenic river gorge. Not too long and easy enough to traverse. Found a nice little spot at the end of the loop where you head back with picnic tables near a rapids that was a great spot to eat. Had a great day to hike.
**A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Washington** If you're searching for a place that perfectly blends serene beauty with a touch of adventure, Icicle Gorge Trailhead is where your heart and soul will find peace. Nestled within the majestic landscapes of Washington, this trail offers a little bit of everything—breathtaking views, the soothing sounds of the river, and a chance to truly immerse yourself in nature's embrace. From the moment you step onto the trail, you're greeted by a symphony of rushing water and the rustle of leaves, with towering evergreens standing guard over the gorge. The path meanders alongside the crystal-clear river, offering stunning views around every bend, each one more captivating than the last. The air is crisp, the scenery untouched, and the experience nothing short of magical. What makes Icicle Gorge Trailhead particularly special is its accessibility. It's a trail that welcomes both seasoned hikers and those just looking for a peaceful stroll. The gentle elevation and well-maintained paths make it perfect for all ages, yet the scenery is so spectacular that it feels like a hidden treasure. Whether you're an avid photographer, a nature lover, or simply someone who enjoys a quiet escape, this trail has something to offer. Take a moment to sit by the river, let the tranquility wash over you, and you'll find that this place has a way of calming the mind and rejuvenating the spirit. Icicle Gorge Trailhead is more than just a hike—it's an experience that will linger with you long after you've left. Don't miss out on this little slice of paradise in Washington. Your soul will thank you for it.
Beautiful walking trail. You can make it harder by taking the trail, as well as the loop. Dog friendly, but narrow path so make sure your dog is people and other dog friendly. Lots of great views!
Such a great hike. In September, very uncrowded and easy to make the loop. The Icicle Creek is gorgeous and clear.
Nice and easy 4 mile loop along Icicle Creek. It's a good way to burn some calories before going into Leavenworth for brats and beer.

Phenomenal. The Sound of Music - 7/13/24 This is my 2nd summer living in Leavenworth and this time around we have a better work/life balance and were able to go to the Leavenworth Summer Theater for The Sound of Music. I'm 32 and I've actually never seen The Sound of Music and knew nothing about it. I booked this on a whim the morning of the show because the Facebook page for the theater posted that seats were still available. Parking is adequate. There is a ~10-15 seat shuttle bus to take you up from the bottom area to the actual theater if you need or want a ride. There were probably 8+ Portapotties right by the theater, which were very clean. They even had hand-wash stations with foot pumps, handsoap, and paper towels. They have seat cushions for rent for $1. Bring 1's and get one. Seriously. Get one. For everyone in your party. Do it. Bring water bottles and bug spray. Do not spray your bug spray at or near your seat go walk out by where you came in to spray yourself. Now to the performance: Incredible! I was blown away. My wife grew up going to plays with her mom in her home country and she absolutely loved this. This is truly a professional play. World class performance. If more of the country new about this you wouldn't be able to get a seat because people would fly in for it. Every single actor and actress was phenomenal. The children actors were so good we were blown away by their talent and courage to perform in front of such a big audience! Lead actress reminds me of the girl from fallout and is no doubt gonna be on the big screen. Awesome venue and beautiful experience. Truly not to be missed if you're here in the summertime
Wonderful performance of The Sound of Music in an outdoor theater in the woods. A bit of a walk from the parking lot. Though there is a shuttle, the theater itself has steps and is not handicapped friendly. Rent a seat cushion for $1 and bring a blanket and/or a jacket as it gets cold once the sun goes down.
Lucky enough to experience The Sound of Music while in town. The show was tremendous. Definitely recommend getting the seat cushions and bringing water. The use of the space by the show was so wonderful.
I’ve gone to a lot of plays every year at Leavenworth Theatre. Last night I went to beauty and the beast, and it was the best play I have ever seen. The cast did an excellent job! I hope you guys do this play again in the years to come. Thank you so much for a wonderful night!
Outstanding! 5 stars! Saw Sound of Music under the stars and by the light of a full moon. The setting is perfect for the Sound of Music with crickets serenading throughout the performance. The production and props were top notch, the acting and music were perfect. One of the best Sound of Music performances we’ve ever seen. We were signing the show’s tunes the whole ride home. Definitely, we will go again and recommend anyone visiting Leavenworth to catch this show.
My daughter and I go every year - amazing experience and a great addition to the weekend away
We had so much fun looking at all the lights! Absolutely gorgeous!!
This review talks about costs, parking, the shuttle, bathrooms, and of course the play. 8-) Costs: Excellent value to see a wonderfully acted play, "The Drowsy Chaperone," surrounded by nature with a live orchestra! For around $40, we got orchestra seats plus rented the soft cushions for $1 at the show. They definitely made the plastic seats comfortable and kept our legs from sticking to the chairs. Buy your seats early, since plays sell out. Parking: The website recommends you arrive no later than 7:15 pm for the 8:00 pm show especially if you need to use the shuttle to drop you off closer to the stage plus the parking lots gets crowded. We arrived for at Thursday 7:00 pm with a stop at the Leavenworth Community Farmers Market before. We got first row parking which was nice. Shuttle: There was a line of chairs for people waiting to board the shuttle. We took the shuttle (a few steps up) a short distance up the mountain. It dropped us off at the porta potty bathrooms where it was a short uphill distance and then steps to the outside theater. After showing your ticket, you could rent a seat cushion with $1 cash. The users showed your way to the seats. The Play: The play was a fun, well acted with singing and a great tap dance number. The humor kept me chuckling throughout the play. The live orchestra to the right of the stage sounded wonderful. The theater has a new sound system, and everything was clear and heard at a good listening volume. I was impressed with the "The Drowsy Chaperone" stage as seen in the picture. For an outdoor theater, I thought it was great and looked forward to seeing how they handled the set changes. I have been to plays at the Kennedy Center and Broadway. I enjoyed the quality of the theater at Leavenworth and would definitely see a play again. As it got later, the sound of the crickets singing and seeing the twinkling blanket of stars above the trees contributed to the wonderful atmosphere. Bathroom: During the 15 minute intermission, there was time to buy drinks or a snack or walk down to the porta potties. It has been a while since I have used one, and they are small! They had toilet paper and ability to flush if you use the foot pump on the floor. There was a hand washing station with running water outside. After the play, we walked down the hill to the car. There was a stringed lighting along the road to help light the way.

Our family of six had an absolute blast snow tubing at Leavenworth Ski Hill. The runs were smooth, the setting was beautiful, and the whole experience had that cheerful winter energy that makes you feel like a kid again. The only catch? After each ride, everyone had to rejoin the queue for the next run. We ended up doing this seven times, and while the first few rounds moved quickly, the wait slowly grew longer as the day went on. Still, the laughter, friendly atmosphere, and thrill of the ride made the patience worth it. If you’re heading to Leavenworth for some tubing fun, go early to beat the longer afternoon lines—and get ready for a day full of snowy smiles.
It's a fun experience but I recommend a weight limit for kids instead of an age suggestion, like the website recommends. My son who is old enough is very tall and skinny so he doesn't weigh that much. Therefore his tube goes so much slower than all the others. I went behind my son and almost ran him over a few times. It was very stressful. Thankfully the gentleman at the bottom, who works there, was able to pull my son's tube aside or assist him out of the way, but there were too many close calls. Me and my son didn't even finish our 5 times down the hill just because I didn't want something to happen. The man at the bottom of the hill helping was kind of a grump and rough with my son but he still helped. It's fun for the family but I would recommend smaller kids or ones who don't weigh that much to pass. Especially since they can't ride with you. For reference my son weighs 45 lbs. Also, get there early cause the line fills up quickly.
Very fun great views and did you know that Olympic training was here? You can still see the jump that they trained on from the top of the big tow. I recommend getting leather gloves if you don’t wanna buy it new pairs of gloves.
Awesome Mountain Biking Experience Thanks to Mandy! We had an incredible time mountain biking at Leavenworth Ski Hill! Mandy was super helpful — she really listened to what we were looking for and gave us excellent trail recommendations. Thanks to her, we rode the Nut Trail and Rosy Boa, and they were perfect! Beautiful woods, cool rock outcroppings, and just the right amount of technical downhill. Couldn’t have asked for better advice or a more enjoyable ride. Thanks, Mandy!
Mostly popular during the winter months, It is very known as one of the best locations for cross country sking and sledding trails. During the off-season, mountain biking is extremely popular!
If you can make it to another hill or resort, I would go. Its expensive, however it is privately owned and ran on donations (so I've heard only) it is small. Line too long to really get any enjoyment out of tubing. If you are there for boarding or skiing same expensive. However if you are on a small family getaway and staying in the village its worth the time there. It does have a cute kiddie slope.
This is an excellent running area in the summer. Well groomed trails and forest roads. Beautiful panoramic views. Excellent wildflowers. Open stone parking for several dozen vehicles. Restroom facilities available. Maps and trail signage is found throughout.
Beautiful area!! Great views and the wildflowers were stunning towards the end of May. There are many trails to play around on. There is ample parking and a bathroom. This is a great place to bike or hike and make sure to stop by the cabin for a drink and snack afterwards.

This is one of the best cellars in the area, with amazing views to top it off. We were on a weekend road trip and decided to swing by on our way back to the city—such a good call! They have a great selection of wines, and the staff really know their stuff. Just tell them what you usually like, and they'll give you spot-on recommendations. The outdoor views are stunning—perfect for events, and I can totally see it being a beautiful spot for a wedding. Highly recommend checking it out. We'll definitely be coming back!
Wonderful place with cozy indoor seating. However, you can not beat the vistas that come with outdoor seating on a beautiful day. Staff was welcoming and had good recommendations. We both had a good tasting experience and had our favorites selected. Definitely took a few bottles of those with us. This place is definitely one of the better ones in the area.
All I have to say is WOW!! The 2018 Reserve Cabernet was wonderful!! And all the reds I tasted were very delicious. The winery is beautiful and the view is amazing. I met the owner/wine maker. He was very nice and hospitable. This winery was a very nice surprise to discover. I joined the wine club and looking forward to more bottles.
Absolutely AMAZING experience! We visited as a big group of girls for my bachelorette trip, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The views were stunning, and everything felt tailored specifically to our celebration. Avery truly went above and beyond—he made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived. The wine was incredible, and he even added special touches like a fun champagne pop game and playing a song for me on the piano. Every detail made the day feel extra special and unforgettable. Highly recommend this winery for any celebration or girls’ trip—10/10!!
We loved our wine tasting experience. Dan was educational fun and engaging. We will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere here is stunning. The views are spectacular. Of course the wines were exceptional!
As a first time wine-taster, I had an incredible experience at Silvara. I have always wanted to visit a winery and I am so glad I chose this beautiful place. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the staff were welcoming. Dana was extremely knowledgeable and easy to chat with. Every wine we tasted was delicious but my favorite was the Winemaker’s Reserve White Blend and the Brute Rose Sparkling Wine. I can’t wait to come back for another visit!
My group of veteran wine drinkers thoroughly enjoyed the wines here. Tamara was really amazing to work with. She is very knowledgeable and her customer service is top notch. She even put on blues music for us. The Woodland Goddess was my favorite. Tamara put together a spritzer of Prosecco and a sweet wine that my friends purchased. It was quite good. Wines were reasonably priced. We walked out with several cases.
I made a wine tasting reservation online (not a walk in), and once we got there Nelson welcomed us. He was such a kind/wonderful sommelier, explaining small details on how to enjoy wines to us wine amateurs, without being pretentious or a wine snob. He told us that he had helped the owner choose the cheese that they serve at the tasting, and for our delightful surprise, every cheese was so tasty!! The cheese added amazing enhancement to our delicious wine tasting for sure. Overall, it was one of the best wine tasting I’ve experienced, thanks to Nelson! I’d def go back and recommend this cellar to anyone. :)

The staff here are absolutely wonderful. We had our wedding here and were blown away at how nice it was to work with them. Julie and her team were able to pivot and move our dinner inside as we had some unplanned rain on our wedding in August. Everything ended up so beautiful and perfect we are so incredibly grateful that we had a team of rockstars helping make it happen. If you are considering doing any event here, could not reccomend enough. Everyone here is just so lovely.
We booked a cabin suite hoping for a relaxing escape, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing stays we’ve ever had. Right away, I noticed blonde hairs in the bed (which none of us have) which was a clear sign the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The tap water tasted like pennies and made it not drinkable. The hot tub was lukewarm at best and had such a strong chlorine smell. To make matters worse, there was no door to the toilet—just completely open to the rest of the suite, which is incredibly uncomfortable and awkward, especially when traveling with family. I don’t think there is anything romantic about listening to your husband take a shit 🤷🏻‍♀️. I get that they wanted a ‘cabin’ like experience but no door to the toilet seems kind of ridiculous. On day two of our trip, wasps were coming into the room, and my baby was stung three times while taking a nap. When I expressed concern to the front desk they said ‘oh this usually isn’t a problem till September’. I’m sorry but if you have an annual wasp problem, this should be disclosed on the website BEFORE someone is able to book. If I’m paying $400+ a night for a room worrying about getting stung in my sleep should not be a concern. They offered to either move us to a different cabin or refund us half the night of the second night (even though it was only 45 minutes after the ‘check in’ time). I was honestly so upset that I wanted to leave. I didn’t want to pack everything up to unpack it and the repack the next day. My baby was in so much distress for the rest of the day and had large welts on her legs where she got stung. The biggest insult? The cabin suite cost more than a luxury hotel in Hawaii. For that price, I expected at least better hygiene, privacy, and safety. Instead, we got a stressful, unpleasant experience. Absolutely not worth it—I will not be coming back.
We had our wedding at Mountain Springs Lodge, and had an extremely positive experience. The event venues were gorgeous, well-maintained, and well-landscaped. The catering was delicious, and consistent with the samples we tried. The staff was flexible when we made requests that were different than their normal way of operating. They made the wedding-planning process easy on us. Our guests stayed onsite in the various cabins, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. It was like a luxurious, grown-up version of summer camp. The cabins are a little bit rustic, and some of our guests ended up sharing rooms because of the layout of the beds, but wasn't an issue for us or our guests. Maybe something to note if you're picky about that. From our perspective, our wedding went perfectly. The services provided by MSL exceeded our expectations, even given the positive reviews we'd read.
My husband and I had our wedding here and it was AMAZING! We got the micro wedding package which included photography, cake, catering, an officiant (thanks, Chico!), and more!! We also had two nights in the bridal suite and it was very comfy. Leah was incredibly helpful and on top of things. People kept telling us how beautiful this place was. Highly recommend!
Beautiful lodge wirh friendly staff. Mountain music was fantastic with great food and tunes. Authentic country twang and large delicious portions.
Mountain Springs Lodge was beautiful and the staff there were all so nice and helpful! We had our wedding there and spent the weekend in the cabins with our family and friends and couldn't have imagined a better setting for our celebration.
Came up for Music on the Mountain- LOVED it. Music was good, food was good & reasonably priced. Lovely evening! Arrive on the earlier side- it was busy!
My husband and I went to the lodge for breakfast, a sleigh ride and snowmobile ride. We were served breakfast by Sarah. She was warm, welcoming and willing to share knowledge about the area. The breakfast was simple and yummy! The ladies in the office area were happy and welcoming! They also run the espresso bar and made great drinks. Bailey was our driver for the sleigh ride with Toots and was knowledgeable about the horses and area. It was a beautiful ride and we enjoyed learning about her journey. We chose the one hour snowmobile ride and it was really fun. Jimmy is a great guide and we can't wait to go back. He was funny and friendly and make sure we had a great time. We have a tripped planned next January with Jimmy for the 3 hour trip! Thank you Mountain Springs Lodge for a fun-filled day surrounded by friendly staff!

Absolutely amazing sleigh ride! Hot cider and super cozy wood stove heated waiting area before the ride. Brought out to the sleigh, guided by one of there several sweet Australian cattle dogs. Warm wool blankets provided for the ride also. Entertained and guided by novice poet Jared, (be sure to ask him about his cowboy poem) and 2 beautiful horses, Chip and Dale. Cascade Mountain View’s were amazing. Definitely go with Eagle Creek Ranch you won’t be disappointed!!
I came on what seemed a slower Monday and booked the longer of the two horseback tours. The additional $20ish was well worth it! We went up a lil mountain with nice views; the terrain offered a more authentic horse-travel experience (with all the bumps and strains) than a flat path. Staff were very friendly and took and/or facilitated pictures. Theresa was tuned in for safety concerns, but everything felt under control. The horses were docile and seemed well cared for.
This was such a fun ride and definitely recommend. The other places I looked at were the same amount of time but a lot more expensive. Eagle Creek is pretty close to town, think it was maybe a 15-20 minute drive from town, and the staff were real friendly and nice. Down side was, do to the trails being really icy they weren't able to go up the trail along the mountain. But was still a nice ride, good staff, and the people were really nice that I rode with. They had coffee and hot cider to drink (no hot chocolate) and the waiting area was nice and warm.
We had a great time at Eagle Creek Ranch. It was the first time we'd ever been on a sleigh ride. Coming from Arizona, it was a very special experience to be able to see snow and get that Christmasy feeling. The ride through the snowy fields and the beautiful horses were amazing. The staff was wonderful and so knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!
What a great experience for our family (kids 6 and 8)! Emily was the perfect guide and the horses were calm and gentle. It was our kids first time on horseback and Pete and Stetson were such dolls for them to ride. The views were stunning and we couldn't have asked for a nicer time. For sure book a trail ride!
It was magical! Everyone who works there was kind and friendly! It was the most beautiful sleigh ride, even the snow was perfect! Ben was our driver and Lauren our photographer. I will relive this experience over and over again in my mind forever. Thank you all!!
Amazing experience! The horses are healthy and well trained. We loved our tour! It was beautiful. I would recommend riders to have a few hours of experience and not go in as total newbies.
Dylan (Dillon?) was our sleigh rider. He was an informative, relaxed, and welcoming host and made the experience even better. They made my moms birthday special without even knowing it was her bday! The horses were beautiful and looked well taken care of. Eagle creek is rustic and cozy with a fireplace and free cider to drink (Not to mention the winter mountain landscape) They were so generous and didn’t charge for pictures or drinks. The horses are friendly. I recommend the private ride, which is the one I got to take with my family. So peaceful there, the perfect place to go if you are wanting to get away from the buzz of town and still have fun. Thanks Dylan and all of Eagle creek for the wonderful experience for my Mom’s birthday!

Loved this place. It was one of our stops on a distillery tour. It is elegant, yet industrial and all drinks and food were fantastic. They distilled their own vodka, gin, bourbon and rum, and they also have Tommy Bahamas branded spirits. The staff is great, and friendly! The inside welcomes you with a great bar and tasting room. Behind the bar is an additional space, which leads you to the patio. Given the great weather we sat outside. The patio is covered with gas fire pits, and you can enjoy the outside even with not so great weather. We enjoyed a cucumber vodka mojito, Bloody Mary, old fashioned, a flight of cocktail tasters - mojito, cosmo and lemon drop, and a couple of charcuterie boards. Everything was truly excellent! Would certainly go back
We have a great experience every time we have stopped in here. The first couple times have been with a large group during busy holiday weekends, ordering a variety of cocktails, tasting flights, and pub snacks. We have also stopped in as a couple on a quiet weekday afternoon for a single cocktail. Each time I have found the staff to be knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We truly enjoy the atmosphere and delicious drinks here.
We really enjoyed our delicious dinner and unique cocktails. Normally you order at the counter but they were kind enough to wait on us in back seating area we had to ourselves.
What could be better on a Monday afternoon than a few cocktails with your bestie? Being served by the valley's best employee, that’s what. I’ve spent plenty of time at Blue Spirits in Leavenworth (right off Hwy 2 at the Chumstick Highway cut-off) and always find something to love – whether it’s the craft cocktails, the live music, or the spirit flights. Today, I found one more reason to love this place, and her name is Katie. If she could be cloned and placed in every client-facing role in the valley, we’d be in the stratosphere of customer service. Seriously – whatever magic sauce she’s making (or drinking) is exactly the right one. She crafted beautiful cocktails, worked her magic with the pancetta flatbread, and even turned us on to a new favorite gin. That’s a win-win in my book. Blue Spirits already had my heart, but Katie sealed the deal. If you haven’t stopped in lately, consider this your sign – go, sip, snack, and hope you get Katie too. She’s the kind of service that turns a casual stop into a highlight of your week.
Good drinks, good music, rude staff. Listen, I can tolerate space case staff members, not an issue. And the lady who took over the cash register eventually was by far the best suited for the role. But everyone else? When I ask a clarifying question and I get "I'm not arguing semantics with you" I'm not exactly thrilled. But like I said, pretty good cocktails, but think about the quality of your service before you automatically tip 20%
Amazing drinks, so many selections and great options but not too many that were overwhelming. My group of 4 was well taken care of with delicious food and fast service on top of the drinks we ordered. We were in town for the weekend and went back twice! Will definitely go again if we are in the area
What a fun stop!! We were there early on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn't crowded. The staff was awesome and fun. We had a flight each plus some extra tastings. FYI bought 6 bottles and my friend 2. Ignore the few negative reviews this place is awesome! I wish I lived closer.

Stumbled upon this cool hatchery in early November. It’s pretty astounding that king salmon swim 200 miles up the Colombia river to get here.
It's 3 in 1 - a national fish hatchery, small museum of local wildlife in the area and finally it's a great place for doing hikes around the creek and such. There were porta potties outside available. Plus bathrooms and drinking water in the office/museum. The hatchery was closed when we visited but they left everything open for viewing. We parked on the road outside the signs and walked in. Worth a visit for sure!
The hatchery is located about 5 mins drive away from downtown Leavenworth. It is basically a self guided tour, so remember to grab the leaflet located in the visitor center. As it's free, it's something to do if you have the time to go and have a quick look around. It provides good information on the life cycle of the salmon.
A very cool spot to see fish in different stages of their life, taxidermy of local critters, and learn a lot about the ecosystem in the area. Jack was a super friendly and informative staff member there.
My visit to the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery was an incredible experience that truly deserves a glowing 5-star review. Nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of Leavenworth, this hatchery is a haven for both nature enthusiasts and those seeking a deeper understanding of conservation efforts. The hatchery's facilities are impressive, showcasing the intricate process of raising and releasing fish. The guided tours provided a fascinating insight into the life cycle of salmon and their journey from eggs to mature adults. It was awe-inspiring to witness the meticulous care given to each stage of their development, ensuring their survival and the sustainability of the ecosystem. The highlight of my visit was observing the fish migrations. Witnessing the sheer determination of the salmon as they navigated their way upstream was an extraordinary sight. The hatchery's efforts in creating fish ladders and providing a safe passage for these magnificent creatures truly showcase their dedication to their mission. Beyond the educational aspect, the hatchery also offers picturesque surroundings. The serene beauty of the Wenatchee River, combined with the lush greenery, created a tranquil atmosphere. It was a delight to explore the well-maintained trails and observe the diverse wildlife that thrives in this natural habitat. Furthermore, the Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery plays an essential role in the community. They actively engage with schools and organize outreach programs, fostering a sense of environmental stewardship among the younger generation. Their commitment to conservation and environmental education is commendable and sets an excellent example for others.
We were in Leavenworth with a friend and she got tickets to the theater. Saw Cinderella and it was so cute... The actors were good as well. Take a light jacket because when the sun goes down it gets pretty breezy and chilly
Neat place to see some salmon and learn about their life cycle. They also have problem beavers that they remove and relocate to places where their dams are more useful to the ecology. There are several nature trails behind the hatchery that you can meander down on a nice day with views of the mountains.
We were able to see salmon fry and spawning salmon. They have a beaver rescue, they than move them somewhere safe to build a dam. There is a trail to hike, we didn’t do it. Everything was free. You can't go in visitor center due to covid but someone is sitting outside to answer questions. Google took us to wrong entrance. Need to park outside gate and there's a Porta potty.

Beautiful and quiet park. Nice short, very easy trail with shade from trees. We had a stroller and it wasn't as bumpy ride. Great walk for dogs too as there's river across that's clear.
This is not a true review since most of my hike was along the access road to the trailhead, which is currently closed. It was a good 5 mile round trip since I went partway up the Eightmile trail. Not sure when access will be open, but will definitely return since the hike was still amazingly beautiful. Mostly a slow uphill climb.
Offers a charming alternative walking route to downtown, and/or a spot to amble after a meal. The many places to admire the river face away from the busier town frontage.
So beautiful. Huge baseball field perfect for a toddler to run around. The park is very nice. Also a great spot for sledding in the winter!
Trails near enchantment park leads you to alpine awe. Get the Real Swiss Postcard Views at this family friendly park.
This park is pretty awesome. They have a lot you can do here. There's a pump track, skateboard park, playground, baseball field, and hiking trails. The trails here are great and do have river access if you want to dip your toes. During the winter people will sled down the hills or build snow sculptures and forts in the fields here. Heading in to the park is a nice break from the generally busy Leavenworth business area.
This is such a lovely park and multiple points of accessing the river and going for a dip or skipping rocks
Cool park, with easy access to waterfront for swimming

Doghaus Brewery is one of the best breweries I have ever been to! Joel, the owner/bartender/host, is fantastic. He is super social & grateful to have everyone visit the brewery. The beer is fantastic & full of so much flavor. I tried multiple breweries across Washington and this was by far the best one! Highly recommend
Most adorable bar by sqft! Bartender / owner was so friendly! He gave us a run down on the history of the place and was just a nice stop on the leavenworth town visit
Second time popping in to this little brewery while visiting Leavenworth. It is small and unassuming but the beers are delicious and servers are top notch! Always a vibrant and fun atmosphere, and huge patio if the weather is good. I love the little "to go" cups as well!
Fantastic brewery! Bartender we extremely personable. Location was very quaint and lovely. Will be returning!
Oleeeeee! What a great place to have a beer. They are very good and the brewmaster is very attentive. If you love beer you will love this place.
Cute little spot. Brought the dogs. Husband had an IPA while I enjoyed an iced latte. Grabbed a yummy reuben from the LOGE cafe.
100% a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. 100% dog friendly 100% people friendly 100% casual If you haven't at least tried this place, you're missing out! Try the cider - so sweet and smooth!
Great beer! Small space that won't get overly loud. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to get away from the hustle of the main street. Will be back!

Book camp site 10 months out hoping to catch sockeye salmon. Missed it by a week, but had a good time on the lake fishing. Been over 40 years since I slept in a tent, but wasn’t an issue for me at all. Temps in the mid 50’s at night and upper 70’s durning the day. Stayed a week and no rain which my fishing buddies said was rare. Plenty of trails to walk on. Couple of beach areas with paddle board and kayak rentals at the other side of the river.
Went camping with my husband and two dogs here for the first time. This is the lake that faced my fears. I finally went out on a kayak with my husband! Best choice ever. We will be back! Great camping for children! This camp will keep your kids busy all day!
Lovely campground overall, but many of the sites are very close together. Beach can be very windy, and the boat rental place shuts down if it gets too windy, which can be a bummer. Also, for those hoping to float the river, they don't allow rental boats/SUPs from the place on the beach to float the river. We had to go out to town to find a different rental place. Bathrooms were maintained well, air conditioned partially during the day also, which was a nice touch. All that said, we enjoyed our time there, and sunsets on the beach are stunning.
One of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen. The trails around the park were clearly marked and very scenic. I would love to spend more time here.
Unfortunately due to some car issues we didn’t get to spend as much time at the lake as we wanted to. But we did make it up in the late afternoon and I could tell instantly that this would be a wonderful area to have a picnic at. We only visited the beach area but there were plenty of picnic benches both on the beach and in the wooded areas. The view across the lake was majestic and the bathroom facilities were clean and stocked. Bonus points for having a wheelchair mat down to the water making this mobility challenge friendly
Absolutely stunning views! Great place for a stroll outdoors after stopping by Leavenworth. Ample parking space, a boat launch area, warming cabin, campground, playground, and plenty of tables for picnicking.
A beautiful place to enjoy fall colors, walk around the water, enjoy the glacier view. It had a very good camping site.
Great spot to relax and see the sunset. It is quite a drive but the views are worth it. Theres a small mini “mini mini” mart with some supplies available. But they sell primarily ice cream and water sport accessories. Theres also a separate business that rents kayaks, canoes and waterboards if you’re into that. Life jackets required. Camping spots are based on reservations. Nice pre-made tent site are decent. Do be wary of the 1-way road that goes thru the entire campsite. One wrong turn and you’ll spend 10 mins to try to find a way out. Otherwise, highly suggest.

We crossed the bridge and went to the first creek. Didn’t go any further. Very good trail up to that point, however there are a few obstacles to be aware of so that you don’t trip. A lot of rocks and some metal in the ground. Probably best to keep children close to you.
Nice little hike along the river, it's an out and back that shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes or so one way. Beware of metal sticking out along the trail. Some beautiful views and places to stop for a snack. There seems to be plenty of parking and there's an outhouse also. I read that America the beautiful passes are accepted here so I put mine in the window and we didn't get a ticket 👍 Have fun!
PROS: Great views, clear turquoise river water, easy trail, one area with some sand next to the water! It is a beautiful place to visit! There are two bathrooms (not the flushable kind). CONS: The area is not free parking and there aren't many parking spots. It says parking fee required, like a Discovery pass, but the lock box is taped over, so you have to pay online. If you don't have phone signal, then you probably can't pay and hope for the best because the state is making it harder to pay to park now.
Great place to stretch your legs and use the restroom or have a day at the river, it has a nice sandy beach area. Hiking the trail too!! Sept. 22nd 2025
Super easy to get to the parking lot and well worth the stop. The colors are breath-taking in October. This is a leisurely trail and is great for people of all ages.
Great walk along the river, but not suitable for wheel chair access.
A really peaceful pathway down to the river. Mindful and contemplative. Lots of ideas to incorporate into our rural garden.
Beautiful views from the bridge of the creek flowing down. After that it's a dirt path through woods for about a quarter of a mile the gets difficult - other folks were climbing the rocks (my group didn't - stuck with easy part). Parking area is small (one way enter/exit). Did have 2 bathrooms. Also little paths down to the "beach" area. Pull off is on left if coming from Leavenworth (easy to miss) & cars are flying down the road. We saw 2 chipmunks - absolutely adorable!
