Bakery
The Gingerbread Factory has been a part of Leavenworth's culinary scene since 1989, offering a charming bakery and cafe experience. The facade resembles a gingerbread house, adding to its quaint appeal. This establishment serves up an array of sweet treats and tasty breakfast and lunch options seven days a week. From quiches to sandwiches, deli salads to baked goods including gluten-free options, there's something for everyone.
Cannot recommend this place enough! The cookies are amazing, especially the gingerbread and the chocolate chip! We went in early and were quick to get desserts for later in the day. Definitely would suggest going in soon after opening for a quick, easy experience for delicious treats.

Truthfully I’m not a big gingerbread fan but this espresso frosted chocolate cookie was amazing! It was a bit dark in the shop but the staff were friendly and they had tap water available, which was really appreciated on a hot day. Definitely stop in.

• Review Gingerbread Factory Bakery – Leavenworth, WA I’m convinced this is the gingerbread all other gingerbreads write fan mail to. Absolutely the most delicious I’ve ever tasted! Honestly — sprint after the Gingerbread Man, tackle him gently, and eat him slowly with zero remorse. (Or, do the “greedy-gobble” u choose! ). Your taste buds will send you a thank-you note. #BestGingerbread #LeavenworthWA #GingerbreadMan #WATourist #Siggie_E 💋

The Gingerbread Factory is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. Their soft, perfectly spiced gingersnaps are delicious, and the friendly staff make every visit a treat. A must-stop in Leavenworth! My wife and children love this place—I highly recommend it!
Michael — Google review
A wonderful little shop specializing in cookies and baked treats. The store is adorable and atmospheric, inviting you to order and enjoy. The gingersnaps were a pleasant memory of Christmas time, even in the dead of August. Every bite left me wanting more.
Isaac E — Google review
Super cute bakery with seating. The entrance is magical with a fairy tree and gingerbread house. Lots of delicious treats to pick from! Very few gluten free options though.
Sara D — Google review
It was very busy inside, there was literally a line out the door when I went so that's how you know you're in for a good time. I went in mostly out of curiosity to see what they had, and was greeted to a case filled with many different kinds of cookies which immediately caught my attention. Most of the cookies were being sold for $3 per cookie (they are quite large, so not an unreasonable price by any means), but I saw a basket of yesterday's cookies and there was a pack of 3 snickerdoodles being sold for $3 so I bought those. Let me tell you, they were the best snickerdoodles I ever had! Perfectly soft and sweet, I ate all 3 in one sitting cuz I couldn't stop once I started! I'm definitely going here again the next time I'm in Leavenworth!
Ezrah N — Google review
Go early so you don’t have to wait in line. It’s a neat little spot, but there’s no reason to stand in the monstrous lines that exist during the Christmas season. The cookies were very good and worth a visit. The atmosphere is also enjoyable with cozy lighting and an agreeable gingerbread smell that sort of soaks into your clothes if you’re there for more than a few minutes. The people working the counter were also cheery, so that was a nice plus. All in all, it’s a spot that ought to be on your list—but don’t prioritize it to the point you’re waiting with the masses in the line that stretched to the end of the street! Would visit again.

Renaissance Café is a charming daytime spot offering carefully sourced American cuisine in a cozy setting. The café boasts an extensive menu featuring breakfast items, sandwiches, and salads, complemented by premium drip coffee made with freshly roasted beans. Visitors can expect a warm welcome from the friendly owner and enjoy a quiet atmosphere while indulging in customizable organic and vegan options.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Renaissance Cafe in Leavenworth, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely amazing, and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. I had the Kylene, which is cinnamon swirl French toast with homemade orange butter. I did pay a bit extra for a side of orange butter, but it was worth it. We also had really good espresso martinis. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Leavenworth. You have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant, and it is quite small inside, but it's still worth it to go there.
Jen R — Google review
Stopped by for Sunday brunch, and the dining area is so small! It definitely makes you feel claustrophobic and hot when there's only a few tables full. I was not impressed with the food, very bland and underwhelming (American classic breakfast food). Service was just okay. Ordered a mimosa, but the orange juice tasted stale, and the champagne-to-OJ ratio was completely off. I also ordered waffles, which were soggy before I even put any syrup or butter on them. I’d highly recommend saving your money and choosing a spot that better fits the town’s vibe.
Alyssa W — Google review
I don't often give poor reviews, but this feels... necessary. First, we were served a cup of old coffee, half-filled. The intention was to serve what was left while brewing a fresh pot. Just. Don't. Do. That. Ever. Just tell the patrons that a fresh pot is brewing and have them wait. Better yet, don't run out of fresh brewed coffee at 9 am. Food came out cold, not hot and fresh. The cook was clearly having a rough time with timing, because another customer across the room also had to return cold breakfast potatoes. I just toughed through it, because hot potatoes wouldn't have helped them taste any better! They were charred, with black soot specks all over them, tasting like old, rancid, dirty oil. The hollandaise on my Eggs Benedict tasted rank and chalky, not at all fresh and lemony. The color was wrong and the sauce had solidified because it was also served cold. I couldn't stand the flavor of the english muffin, either. It tasted like it was brushed with rancid, old oil, then grilled on a dirty cook top. Honestly, that's the same OFF flavors of the potatoes! The tiny flecks of salmon weren't worth the upcharge and had a dry, chalky mouth-feel that needed to be washed down with water... which also tasted OFF... the water wasn't even good. My boyfriend's chicken fried steak was definitely of the frozen variety, over fried, and smothered in cheap, canned, peppered country gravy. The only thing on either of these two plates that was prepared well were the eggs themselves! They were perfect... once I scraped the solidified hollandaise off of them! The service wasn't bad at all, apart from the half cup of coffee served, which I do think was well-intentioned and without malice. I likely wouldn't visit Renaissance again, as no part of that culinary experience would merit my return.
Janette G — Google review
Do not go here unless you enjoy surprise billing and nausea. The menu pricing is inaccurate and they are well aware. Wish we had read other reviews regarding this. The "omelets" apparently do not even include the eggs in the price. What? We already paid separately for 2 omelet fillers, one of which we were overcharged for as well. When we brought up the discrepancies and showed them the menu the waitress said "well that's what we charge, the menu is wrong, and we have a separate per egg charge not included in the price." She showed us a peice of paper stuck to the front of the menu she had (not visible on my menu) that said there was a $1.00 fee for additional eggs, but we didn't add any more than what the omelet included and that additional fee was still less than what we were charged. She shrugged it off and repeated that "the price is the price". So what does the price of their omelets include? Labor to make it I guess, and a diced potato since we didn't even get the toast, and as we were charged and had to pay for every other ingredient separately. We paid extra for strawberries (which turned out to be only about 2 tbsp worth) and gluten free pancakes and both had absolutely no flavor. Also, both my husband and I felt very ill within 30 minutes of finishing this very bland, flavorless meal we overpaid for and I ended up sick for the rest of the day. AVOID.

We found this little gem when we were on vacation for a few days. Great breakfast and loved my tea in a pretty teapot. The owner Kimberlee was welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in town. Thanks!
Sandra H — Google review
A great place for breakfast, although they serve lunch as well. It might be a little hard to find. The street front is only a doorway that leads to a staircase. The pancakes are as big as a plate and are delicious. Ask for one pancake if you don't think you can eat multiples. The rest of the menu is pretty standard. The staff is really friendly and the service is great. Enjoy!

Great food. Linda (our waitress) was great. Food was delicious. We had the omelette and scramble. Must go!

Yes it was as delicious as I expected! Very friendly service and quality food in, indeed a very cozy breakfast nook. One pancake is good enough for two. Eggs Benedict was delicious. Espresso drinks made to order. Highly recommend this cute café when visiting Leavenworth!

Bear Bear is a popular local spot known for its delectable breakfast options. The menu features a variety of dishes, including truffled egg salad on brioche toast, smashed avocado toast, Fried Chicken and Waffles, Shakshuka, and classic Latkes. The establishment offers a vibrant brunch experience with locally sourced organic meals and cocktails. Despite limited indoor seating, the quick turnover ensures that patrons are seated promptly. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor dining with picturesque views from the balcony.
The location is ideal and right in the downtown area in Leavenworth. The food was so tasty and visually pleasing. We had the chicken and waffles also the peanut honey waffle with fruits. We tried their cold brew and Kombucha. The service outstanding and very attentive. The atmosphere slow and chill nothing wild but very relaxing with views of the mountains and the architecture of some of the hotels in the area. Prime people watching platform 😂. Overall a great experience and highly recommended for solo, couples, family dinning.

As I was visiting a Bavarian village, I wanted the culinary experience as well. When I checked their menu online prior to my visit, I knew the Chicken & Waffle was exactly what I wanted. Described as “Buttermilk Chicken Tender, Malted Waffle, Spiced Butter & Real Maple Caramel Syrup~~I mean Come On😃 It was every bit as wonderful as described, with an added touch. A secret combo of spices on the chicken made it all the more wonderful. They sell the bottle of spice right there. Their walls are decorated with lots of fun animal pics & quotes. All in all a great experience.

Such wonderful food, atmosphere, and location!!! The service provided is exceptional and the food is so delicious!!!! My husband and I had two breakfast dates here while enjoying our anniversary weekend. Saturdays breakfast was the smashed avacado toast with poached eggs and apple sausage and my husband had their chicken and waffles. Sunday I had their cream and jam waffle and my husband had their 5 spice salmon latkes. Our next Visit we will be coming back!

My favorite meal is hands down always gonna be breakfast and since this place was so close to where we were staying, it was a unanimous YES when we suggested trying out this cute restaurant! We got here right when they were opening and Danny (not sure if he is the owner but he was SOOOO awesome!) was setting up the sign outside but told us we were welcome to come on in. We had a wheelchair and a stroller in our party and he said he would get the back ready so we would be able to use that entrance to get the wheelchair in. He pushed some tables together since we had a bigger party and made sure we had a place for the stroller and was so accommodating and kind. The space here was so cute and welcoming, there were cool pictures posted up on the walls along with some great quotes too! Not only was the service and decor incredible, so was the food!!! Danny told us one of the specials was pumpkin waffles and since that is my jam, i had to jump on that! But so many other things looked so good too so i ended up getting a few things! We def ordered a lot of food and you could say we enjoyed it because we ate everything. Oink oink is right!! Check out all my food pics of the breakfast sando, eggs Benedict, French toast, and all the other deliciousness we ordered!! Bear bear also serves lunch so you can swing by for that meal too! Really awesome place, def stop by for some great food and wonderful service if you're in the area. Thank you again for everything, Danny, cant wait to come back!
Jen M — Google review
We stopped here for breakfast before we left town. It was recommended by our hotel. We were able to walk up and sit on the outside patio. Service was fast and very helpful. The waitress steered me towards the biscuits and gravy, which I would say was the best I have had in quite a while. It was very flavorful and, in my opinion, had the right portion of gravy to the homemade biscuits. It seems some places give you too much gravy or not enough. I would also say the portion was perfect. I was not overly stuffed. The only negative was that my coffee was never refilled by I also did not ask. My wife had the strawberry waffle which was good.
Brent H — Google review
We didn't go inside because it was full and it was a Tuesday morning around 9am. It was a good vibe just walking up. The wooden stairs and greeted by a cute chalkboard. They have a covered area (plastic walls) with two nice propane heaters with a couple 4 tops and a couple 2 tops. It was a chilly morning (around 32) and we were fine in there with our coats on. The service was great, there were a couple people running food and checking on coffee and taking orders. It was very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, and our two little ones (9 and 4) thought the waffle was the best they ever had. They use REAL maple syrup, which to me, is a telltale sign they care about ingredients. We almost went to the wafflehouse, but they were closed for veterans day! Much to our luck. I'm sure they have good stuff too, but I'm almost positive this was better! I got the grits, greens, and sausage dish with a poached egg, which our server said was the house fave. My husband got the eggs Benny with bacon. All was super yummy and presentation was pretty. I also loved the camping mugs and the little ceramic creamer pitchers were so cute. Go here!
Naomi J — Google review
I'm literally writing this review while still seated in front of my half-finished plate (which is as delicious but so filling!). The shakshouka was incredible and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had gluten free bread even though it wasn't listed on the menu—and it was really good bread! My partner loved the chicken and waffles, as well. Definitely recommend if you like a unique breakfast menu with some southern classics as well. Danny was our server and he was super kind and helpful!
Mandy R — Google review
Not a bad place, went in for breakfast and had the cinnamon roll with a side of 3 latka pancakes. The pancakes were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend, they even came with an herb cream base condiment on the side which was amazing. The cinnamon roll however was pretty basic. It wasn't bad, but if you told me you bought it from a grocery store bakery I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Still a lovely place and it's one of the few places open early enough to enjoy breakfast so I still recommend trying it.

Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The burger was awesome. The waitress was so kind and helpful and big smiles. We tried the tortilla chicken soup..AMAZING! We went back a couple of hours later just to pick up to-go order of just the soup. Try it...you'll thank me later...lol.

First impression: the restaurant feels a bit older, but it has that local, down-to-earth charm and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The food is classic American fare—think traditional burgers and straightforward fish and chips. Nothing fancy, but it hits the spot. Service was friendly and attentive, making it a solid local stop.

Their Christmas decorations are stunning! You have to check out the bar, just beautiful! Kid friendly, high chairs available. Their club sandwich is one of the best I've ever had!
Melissa G — Google review
I wish I had our servers name. He was a younger gentleman and our family really loved having him! He was so nice and accommodating. A lot of places these days have servers that act like we’re putting them out when giving our order 😂😭… he was checking on us, had great manners, very genuine. The food was a fair price compared to what we saw around the town. The food and seating was exactly what we needed after a long weekend of driving! Thank you for having such a great staff here!
Solo W — Google review
Outstanding service, but a bit misleading with the menu. After driving 4 hours to get to Leavenworth, I was famished and wanted to try a major dinner (and take home some leftovers!). The menu states “thin breaded cutlets” (plural!!), so that’s why I ordered it. It only came with one…unless all the pork cutlets are smashed together to make one schnitzel?! Potatoes were great, as was the mushroom gravy. Presentation was a little lacking. Like I said though, service was outstanding! However my dinner was underwhelming for both my husband’s and my choice (wish a salad or bread would’ve come with the meal, especially for over $20 each plate).
Carone J — Google review
The server, Jacob, was absolutely fantastic. He had the best possible attitude; he was incredibly patient, attentive. If you're passing through Leavenworth, definitely check out the full service side of this establishment. The cook missed that I wanted chicken strips as a side, but managed to catch that I didn't want avocado, which was far more important.
Charles S — Google review
Good food. I had a Belgian waffle for lunch. the waitress was really kind and helpful. I would love to go back someday
James — Google review
Solid food with a nice staff. The meals were better than anything we had in the downtown proper bubble. It was chill, everyone around us mentioned they were enjoying themselves, the pours were generous and the food was obviously prepared in house. We had prime rib (awesome) and the schnitzel (subbed brown gravy for mushroom) and both were good. This place deserves more business than it had while we there (but we came early so who knows). Our waitress Shelby was amazing too. Highly recommend.

Louie's is a popular eatery known for its hearty American breakfast and lunch offerings, as well as refreshing drinks like mimosas and bloody Marys. Locals rave about the generous portions and delicious food, making it a must-visit spot for breakfast in town. The menu features mouthwatering options such as cornflake-breaded fried chicken on a fluffy Belgian waffle with honey butter, powdered sugar, and maple syrup.
Great Food! 1st time stopping here was very happy with the service and the food. The venue is very small! Luckily, we got there early so we didn't have to wait for a table. I think there were only 1 or 2 wait staff, but they did good about checking on the table. The menu had a lot of options and portion size was great. Biscuits and gravy were really good. A friend had the breakfast sandwich and liked the flavor of the food, but it would have been better with different bread. Overall great experience, and will come here again

First time visiting this place. We went for breakfast. Food and service were really good! It is a small and cozy space, gets crowded on weekends. French toast, chicken and waffles, omelette, coffee were delish and avacado toast was good too!
Anjali P — Google review
Good breakfast here. I had the avocado toast with salmon. It was delicious, but it also ended up being the most expensive thing on the menu. It was an extra 14 bucks for the salmon, but it was good anyway. I don’t know who needs to hear this but at this restaurant you wait to be seated outside. This is probably uncomfortable for a good part of the year with it being pretty cold or extremely hot outside in Leavenworth. But that doesn’t mean that you can keep opening the door into the small restaurant rooms to get the hosts attention. They will see you they will find you they will let you in. Okay thank you, that is all.

This place was really cute & the seating outside was refreshing! The service was great. The chicken fried steak was amazing & seasoned well but the European eggs Benedict was a little bland.

Cute and cozy inside. You may need to wait outside for a table. We visited on a Friday morning and waited 25 min. Lovely waitress was very friendly and helpful. We loved everything we ordered. Toast - ask for complimentary raspberry jam - it was heavenly.

Wonderful Service and very very good food. It was the best chicken fried steak I've had in my lifetime.

Louie's was highly rated for the food and it didn't disappoint. The approach to entering the restaurant was odd, yet efficient for staff, you may have to wait a little bit to enter. The food was well done, with seasoning, balance of flavor, and portions right on the money. This is not just sausage and eggs place either, good balance to the menu provided the appropriate options. One thing I was missing, hot chocolate. Gotta add it to the menu. The location was very simple but overall it was clean and straightforward.

Delicious savory and sweet crepes! I ordered the special What-a-catch and the Thanks-a bunch. The plant based sausage was delicious and the salmon is wild caught. Mid price item but good size portion. A must go place. The staff is friendly and laid back.

My wife and I split a raspberry crepe and the Mother Load crepe. The raspberry was a amazing with fresh raspberries and raspberry compote. The Mother Load was huge stuffed with prosciutto, tomato, arugula and mozzarella, and had balsamic vinegar on top. We also got an Irish coffee. Everything we had was amazing and we'd definitely get again.

Best vegan breakfast in Leavenworth! Absolutely delicious and creative crepes. I ordered the PB and honey crepe add strawberries, and a savory crepe with vegan mozzarella and vegan sausage and it was SO GOOD!!!! We also loved the mimosa bowl! This place is such a win! They have both savory and sweet crepes. We were surprised with how filling a crepe was too. Once you’re there, make sure someone in your party is able to grab a seat because the seating is limited. Then there may also be a line. It gets busy! But it’s worth it!

Finally—a crepe place with sweet AND savory options! The kickin’ chicken was fantastic and the rest of our party enjoyed their sweet treats. It was a great start to the day and makes for a good ending, too, if you’re looking for a sugary treat with some substance. No reason not to visit unless you have some kind of health issue that won’t let you eat crepes. Make this a priority destination if you’re here because it’s excellent and the women behind the counter seem to take pride in what they do. Second time staying at the Obertal & we will stay again on our next trip. Exceedingly pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Beds are very comfortable & have extra pillows. The breakfast waffles are delicious. The second floor outdoor seating area is lovely. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The location to downtown is fantastic. We walked to the alpine coaster (1 mile each way.)

It was an awesome experience. Perfect location. From the friendliness, perfectly portioned yummy breakfasts, non- bleach smelling towels and sheets, easy peasy check in and out , and the fact that we left something in the room and were immediately informed. Since we were already gone they took the time to mail it to us.

Stayed here for oktoberfest and enjoyed the whole experience. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, plenty of pillows, nice linens that stayed tucked, plenty of very hot water in the shower, literally 5 minutes to walk to the shops and restaurants. It was perfect and we will stay here again.

We stayed in the Garden Haus and it was perfect for two adults and a dog. The location made it super convenient to wander through town and not have to worry about parking. Obertal's breakfast was tasty and very inexpensive. I'd happily stay here every time I visit Leavenworth.

The garden haus was perfect, we stayed in the hotel rooms a few years ago and those were great too. The garden haus is updated though and has a hot tub, and great location to town! Thank you for having us! Also - GET THE STRUDEL AND CARAMEL SAUCE!!! Soooo good!

What a wonderful Inn. Our room was spacious and we received outstanding customer service from the staff, both at check in at at grabbing our take out breakfast which was so yummy. This Inn is located within easy walking distance to the Front street. If you are looking for a place to stay in Leavenworth I cannot recommend it more!

Excellent stay for Oktoberfest. Location allowed us to park upon arrival and walk to everything we wanted to see. Pet friendly which was nice as we always take our dogs with us. Room was clean and well appointed. Definitely our go to place for any future trips to Leavenworth.

As a repeat customer at Obertal Inn I had another beautiful stay. The room was very clean, beds comfy, staff superb and very personable. The refer, microwave were an added feature. Great location and as always free and safe parking for the guest. Loved the busy staff making sure all the flower boxes were maintained. The apple strudel was delicious. Breakfast was fun to have choices to order, served as you walked in. Looking forward to a return visit!

Argonaut Coffee & Biscuits is a beloved breakfast spot in Leavenworth, offering a delightful selection of coffee including americano, latte, mocha, cold brew, and specialty lattes with unique flavors. It's an ideal stop before or after a refreshing walk on the Waterfront Park Trail. The cafe serves Blue Star Coffee paired with buttermilk biscuit breakfast sandwiches and Hipster toast made with rustic sourdough bread and avocado.
TLDR; Excellent place for coffee, best biscuits I’ve ever had. We came in around 8:30 on a weekend and just made it in before the line started behind us. It gets crowded very quickly so I recommend coming as early as possible. I ordered a cappuccino, hipster avocado toast and a plain biscuit with jam and butter. Everything was delicious - the toast in insanely crunchy and the avocado is super creamy, the biscuit was generously buttered and jammed, and had a lovely crumble to it as well. The cappuccino was really well done too - coffee is roasted nicely and does not have an acidic flavor.

Omg, I just popped in to grab a drink, and everything looked amazing! Ended up getting the BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. And don't even get me started on the chai tea latte. Perfection.

**park behind the building, free customer parking there!! Don’t pay for the lot beside it!!** Great coffee, absolutely delicious breakfast sandwich (we swapped bread for their Jalapeno Cheddar biscuit which was amazing, fresh and buttery and flaky) and at the time of this review they also offer Macadamia milk as an alternative which is one of my favorites and hard to find at cafes.

This place is very nicely set up and their biscuits are sooooooooooo good. The outdoor seating area is very nice and accommodated our 7 people group very nicely. I highly recommend sipping here for the exceptional jalepeno biscuits.

We ordered the blueberry goat cheese galette, savory biscuit breakfast sandwich, hipster toast and the lemon bar latte- everything was the best I’d ever had. I never get fruity or fun lattes, but wow… so glad I tried the lemon bar! Sooo so good.

Ordered the pumpkin spice latte, a caramel macchiato, and two breakfast sammies. All was tasty and served up quickly! It was also easy to make the breakfast sammie vegetarian-friendly (removed ham and cheese, added extra egg patty, added avocado). Yum!!

Exceptional. All of the food we had on a weekend in Leavenworth was "fine" but nothing special. Until, on our way out of town, we decided to grab a quick coffee and breakfast sandwich. The line was long and service took a little while, but the staff didn't seem to be miserable. In fact, pride in their work, the coffee, and food, was very evident. There is just something about this place that's hard to explain... it's like you can tell that the owners really care about what they're doing. The menu is very limited and that allows them to make THE BEST biscuits and breakfast sandwiches. I also love the note on their website about tips - they pay their staff a living wage so no tips are necessary. More places should be like this, in every way. Also, I'm still thinking about the chocolate chip cookie!!

What can I say well for visitors the location is right in the middle of the town and near everything you can think of from restaurants, shops, wineries, breweries, candy and ice cream shops. I didn't know what to expect when ordering a bagel my knowledge is limited to only cream cheese and smoked salmon which is delicious but this place knock it out of the park with their recipes. We order some avocado no protein mix with delicious veggies, pumpkin seeds, rosemary bagel, pickled onion, spicy drizzle of some sauce, all seasoning. This was an explosion of flavors so good I had to do a food dance on the table. Yes it was that good without any type of meat or fish. The word delicious can't even describe how good this was early in the morning. We brought our coffee and enjoy this meal with a great views of the mountains. Absolutely a killer combination of ingredients. We had a great recommendation from the lady at the front desk very attentive and knew all the details of this dishes. Oh I forgot this one bagel was $7 a great bargain and we shared this bagel between two adults and kept us full for hours. Overall a great experience and will recommend to family and friends. Come and check them out.

Was visiting to attend the Oktoberfest event needed some food and went here. The staff is amazing but it does take time to get your food. It is worth the wait and bagel was really good. I didn’t get the coffee unfortunately but highly recommend the bagel. I got the Summit Scramble ate it pretty fast I forgot to take a picture for this review 😢. The place is pretty small but they do have couple seats inside and outside.

Bavarian Bagel knows how to start the day right—assuming you beat the rush. The jalapeño bagel was already sold out by mid-morning (rookie mistake on our part), so plan accordingly if you’re after the spicy stuff. The bagel we did get was fresh and flavorful, though the pickled onion and avocado spread came on a bit strong—not in taste, just in volume. Some folks like their schmear stacked like a skyscraper, but we prefer a little more breathing room. That said, the spicy oil was the hero of the morning—a zippy little kick that pulled everything together.
Dustin E — Google review
If you’re heading to Bavarian Bagel Co., 🥯 here’s the move: get there right at opening or order ahead. I went on a Thursday morning and the rush was real—can only imagine what weekends are like. I had the Alpine Avocado and it was out of this world. Fresh, flavorful, and totally satisfying. Bonus: you can enjoy it with some stunning mountain views. ⛰️ ☕️ Pro tip: The coffee is just okay. If you’re stuck waiting, pop across the street at the LOGE while your bagel’s being made.
Zanete P — Google review
Stopped by as it was recommended by a front desk person at the hotel we stayed at. It's run by a couple of young gals and they work efficiently and as quickly as possible. They were busy on the morning I stopped by and their internet stopped working. I felt bad, as that put a damper on things, but they worked as fast as they could. They had a good system going where they'd switch out at the till when needed and they go back to getting bagels toasted and put together or making coffee. It's a small shop, true, so there isn't a bunch of seating but it is in the heart of downtown and close to the river so I recommend getting food and drink to-go and going for a walk. Bonus points to this place as they make the bagels in-house and they are super generous with the schmears. The flavor is on point as is the texture of bagels.
Caitlyn H — Google review
Surprisingly good bagel for being out in Leavenworth, also super interesting flavors and lots of sandwich and beverage options. I got the French Toast Bagel which grabbed my attention due to its oddity, and I also got a slice of their zucchini bread. The zucchini bread was good, but the bagel was amazing. Definitely recommend

I loved this place. I got the avocado bagel (pictured), my boyfriend got the sausage egg and cheese, and we split a chocolate chip cookie. Both of the bagels and the cookie were great, especially considering the price! The customer service was also great and we received our order pretty shortly after ordering.

Leavenworth Coffee and Waffles is a delightful gem that elevates the classic waffle experience with its innovative Stuffed Waffles. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, this spot has you covered with an array of delicious fillings, from fresh fruits to hearty breakfast meats, all seamlessly integrated into each waffle. During my recent visit, I was impressed by the exceptional service; the staff were friendly and attentive, making my meal even more enjoyable.
My husband and I were looking for a breakfast spot on our honeymoon in Leavenworth when we discovered Coffee and Waffles, and my goodness, it did not disappoint!! As a lover of chicken and waffles, I can honestly say theirs are some of the best I’ve ever had! The staff is incredibly friendly and kind and even recognized us when we came back for breakfast the next morning! They were warm, welcoming, and made us feel like family. We even had a chance to meet Nick, the owner, who represents all the warmth and kindness I’ve already mentioned. Nick has worked hard, buying and renovating the entire waffle shop in summer of 24, and you can tell! The Coffee and Waffles shop has been updated beautifully and yet still has a timeless charm. It feels great supporting a small town business run by such nice people, but I’d go back over and over again (and did🤭) for the incredibly delicious food. Don’t miss out on the best breakfast in town!
Kourtney C — Google review
The staff was very friendly and the food was good. The waffles were on the dry side which was a let down. The menu is somewhat confusing since not every waffle option on the menu comes with syrup by default. Some of them require syrup as an 'add on' for $3 which is kinda crazy considering how you get only 2 Oz. I'd recommend the coffee drinks, and the side of bacon. The bacon was super thick and great flavor. The hash browns were just frozen and deep fried.. Nothing special.
Joseph F — Google review
The absolute BEST waffle sandwich I’ve had! The egg was fluffy and the bacon was crispy! A pretty good fruit cup too! I got the October pumpkin special and unfortunately couldn’t drink it because it was just way too sweet. No parking. But it’s right across from the main shopping area in Leavenworth

Great food options and delicious coffee. They have the perfect central location in the middle of Leavenworth. We stopped in here for breakfast at random and I’m so glad we did. The coffee was excellent and the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle was so delicious I’m still thinking about it hours later as I write this review. This place is fairly new; it wasn’t around the last time we visited, but I hope it’s here to stay. A must-have breakfast if you’re in Leavenworth.

The atmosphere here is nice—clean, cozy, and a comfortable place to sit and relax. I ordered a latte, which turned out to be quite good. Smooth flavor and well-frothed milk; definitely the highlight of my visit. I had high hopes for the waffles after reading so many positive reviews, but they didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. Overall, it’s a decent spot for coffee and a chill vibe. Photography by Charlie Su.

Looks nice and new inside. Food was great. Ordered dessert stuffed waffles and loved them so then we ordered the breakfast stuffed waffles! I loved the white chocolate Mocha! (I asked for Easy on the sweetness and it was perfect taste. Boss stopped by our table to ask how the food was :)

We stayed next door at the Bavarian Lodge and stumbled upon this gem while walking to town. Coffee and waffles? Two of my favorites, had to try it. And I’m so glad we did. This spot recently took over the longtime Sandy’s location, now run by Leavenworth Coffee Roasters, and they’ve done a fantastic job. Inside is a warm, inviting, and well-appointed café. As a self-proclaimed espresso bean snob, I was seriously impressed, they roast excellent beans and know how to pull a proper shot. Now let’s talk breakfast. I went all in on the chicken and waffles, and it was next level. They filet a large chicken breast, perfectly bread and deep fry it, and pair it with a yeast-based waffle that’s crisp on the outside and soft inside. Absolute perfection. We also tried the bacon, egg, and cheese waffle sandwich, and it was such a fun and creative dish, the ingredients are sealed inside the waffle and then cooked. Super clever and delicious. To top it off, the owner came out to personally check on guests and was genuinely kind and engaging, clearly passionate about what they’re building here. This will be our go-to spot for coffee and breakfast every time we visit Leavenworth. Highly recommended

The 59er Diner in Leavenworth/Lake Wenatchee offers a delightful experience for visitors. The cabins are charming and well-maintained, providing a cozy retreat. The diner itself serves up delicious meals, with generous portions and friendly service. The atmosphere is nostalgic, adorned with memorabilia from the past, creating a fun and welcoming ambiance. Guests can enjoy classic American fare such as burgers, fries, shakes, and hearty breakfast options like veggie scramblers and Italian scramblers.
This restaurant is really cool! It is true to old fashion with a juke box playing oldies, the entire place is covered with memorabilia. They have a lot of seating inside and a beautiful seating area outside as well! The staff are very welcoming as soon as you walk in and give you directions on how to properly order. Milkshakes are a MUST try!! I highly recommend this very well put together and organized establishment. I will be back in the future.

The food was actually really good. The pictures made it look very generic food I will say the spaghetti that my friend got is pretty lacking, but I also don’t know why you would get spaghetti at a diner I got the burger and the meat was actually phenomenal. The fries are on point and milkshakes were superb. The blackberry cobbler was made, but it’s what I expected. Overall great experience it wasn’t too crowded the night we went. We went to Saturday night. It’s just a really fun atmosphere and very nice staff. I will be back

Milk shake was good. My husband liked his spaghetti. My dinner was okay. I asked if the mashed potatoes were fresh and was told they make everything fresh every day. I thought they tasted like instant potatoes. Probably should have ordered a hamburger. It's definitely more of a hamburger place.

The place itself is retro and cool, the staff was very friendly even when it was really busy. But i was a little disappointed in the food, it was very bland and dry. I came with my husband our 2 little girls, my sister in law and her boyfriend. We ordered the philly cheese steak with onion rings, 2 pulled pork sandwiches with chips, and chicken strips with fries. My daughters did love the milk shakes tho 😋

I never really had meat loaf growing up, and I also never lived in the fifties. But I experienced one of the most homey meals I’ve had at a restaurant, reminds me when I would go over to a friend’s house and feast on something I couldn’t get at home. The meat loaf was rich, gravy well balanced, and loaded baked potato a perfect accessory. The side veggies are whatever is in season from local farms I loved hearing Flo hum along with the elvis and buddy holly while tending to customers, plus their stickers are sick. This is the #1 spot to stop for a milkshake on the way home from a hike, but if you have the time, try the sit down.

I came in for one of their famous milk shakes. I chose their Black-Rasberry shake. It was awesome and so was the gal that waited on me. I will have to come back to try their patty melt, if they offer one.

The restaurant draws wonderful attention from the highway. Highly aesthetically pleasing 50s diner. It’s like it froze in time and didn’t move forward in time, it stayed in ‘59. Happy and easygoing vibe. The waitress and waiters were nice and accommodating. The food was good too. Lots of options of plates to choose from. And lots of milkshake options too (exotic ones too like coconut?) Nice views of the mountains. Everything from the phones and juxebox works in great condition! Very cool experience and great dining!

The Old Mill Cafe in Leavenworth is a charming spot that offers Texas BBQ, making it a great choice for those missing some good tri-tip or similar dishes. Located in the hills, the cafe provides a beautiful drive and welcoming indoor and outdoor seating. The portion sizes are generous, with huge biscuits being a standout item on the menu.
Loved coming here. Customer service was exceptional, and the food did not disappoint. I had the Redneck Benedict with lox, and it was fantastic. The home potatoes were perfectly cooked: crispy and soft on the inside with light seasoning. I was happy to see they have Chai Latte with various non-cow milk options. My family enjoyed the Country Breakfast and caramel machiato. Nice selection of baked goods is available: pies, donuts and cinnamon bun. The two girls behind the counter were super sweet and the cook actually came out to the front to answer my questions and graciously offered to put lox on my eggs Benedict. I was really touched by their personal interest. Atmosphere was warm, cozy and relaxed. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of parking. I would definitely return here.

We would never expect to find a restaurant with this type of service and quality of foods and beverages located in an unincorporated community in Chelan county. The restaurant is very clean, nostalgic in immediate impression with a pictoric overview of Plain's history. Its Chef and staff are folksy and so welcoming. Wow, the food is grrr-eat! We aren't peckish enough to go for the Buffet. An "A" quality buffet here, in this town. Every chafing dish looked well presented, deliciously inviting with a touch of Bellevue / Seattle class, yep, you heard me right. As good as, if not better! We ordered àla carte and every dish was good down to the last bite. Best sure to check out this restaurant if you're in the neck of the woods, totally worth it.

There are no words for how awesome this little spot in the mountains is. The entire staff made me feel so welcome when our RV broke down and I needed a place to work remotely. From their wifi, to a power strip specifically for people to plug in computers and letting me stay as long as I needed to, the entire experience was was amazing in every way and only enhanced by how incredible the food is. Matt & Kim are the epitome of people who should own a restaurant. From the (finally!) authentic and amazing BBQ, full breakfast plates, delicious coffee and GORGEOUS fresh pastries, the Old Mill has it all. Every morning at 6:30 I was greeted by Ashley and Hannalei with big bright smiles and nothing but hospitality to make me feel like family. Fun and lively conversation to get the day started right, this family really goes far beyond standard customer service in every way. We were in Plain for a total of 2 weeks and in that time I got to know the area and this little gem in the middle. We are crossing the country but if I was to ever get “stuck” somewhere, I think Plain and the Old Mill Cafe would be the spot. It was genuinely bittersweet to pull out of that parking lot and wish my new friends farewell. I have never felt so comfortable in an establishment so quickly and again, considering the food is out of this world, it was by far and away the best place to spend my workday. The BBQ slider is a great little meal, delicious slaw, crispy onions, that perfect slow cook on the meat, and their homemade “chips”, an absolute MUST. The chicken fingers also had a great crispy coating without being greasy or heavy. Try it all, you will not be disappointed!! If you’re going to the Leavenworth area, make the detour to the Old Mill Cafe and stop in for a bite and a smile. It is a beautiful drive from Leavenworth to Plain and well worth the trip to see what that little town has to offer. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, the Old Mill has something for everyone. A must try, a must go, a must for anyone who loves amazing BBQ and looks for these hidden spots. This is one you won’t forget! Thank you for everything Old Mill crew, we’re headed east and miss you and your food already!

The tables were dirty, the food was awful, and there was no service. The bacon was cold and the toast was burnt. They were so stingy with the cheese and eggs that the skillet scramble felt more like a salad. They served the food in a disposable paper bowl, so even the tiny bit of cheese I had stuck to it. It was the worst breakfast I’ve ever had.

We arrived in Leavenworth and were waiting for our room to be ready but were really hungry so we looked up local places & found this one. It appealed to us because of the Texas BBQ. We're recent transplants from CA & were missing some good tri-tip or something close, so we chose this place. We mapped it & realized it was a little out of the area but still decided to go. To be clear, it's more up into the hills and than we realized BUT it was lightly snowing & it was a beautiful drive. When we arrived the women who greeted us was very friendly. We put our order in & began to look around. It's a quaint little place that doubles as a ski rental place also. When our food arrrived, it looked & smelled amazing!! It did not disappoint! The brisket was tender and the biscuits were fluffy! The food was PHENOMENAL!!! Hands down, some of the best BBQ we've had and we've traveled extensively. Shortly after beginning to eat, a ski rental customer came in to return ski's and asked what time they closed. They explained that on that day they had already closed! My husband & I looked at each other, threw as much food down as possible, & grabbed a to-go box. We apologized because we realized that when we walked in it was about 5 minutes to closing. The kind women and young lady behind the counter were so nice and said it was not a problem at all. AND based on how nice they were, we NEVER would have known it unless the other customers had asked about closing times. We then tipped again, thanked them, wished them a Merry Christmas, & left. We will be back and would tell others they have to try it because the food is fabulous and the service is even better 😊

Very busy, every time I go here there's a line for the kiosks. Food was ok. Other McDonald's are definitely fresher tasting, as fresh as you can get with fast food anyway. Only go here really because there aren't many spots you can get in and out of quickly in Leavenworth, except here.

Service was decent but not the best. Food was not great. Fries do not taste as good as they use to but I’m guessing it’s because they no longer put an ungodly amount of salt on the fries. But I was very unhappy with my McCrispy. It was two buns, a piece of fried breaded chicken, and two pickles. No lettuce, no tomato, no Mayo. I don’t even like ketchup but would have at least like something on there so that it was just a dry burger.

Don't order online they cancel the order then they lie to you and tell you that you ordered through the drive through when you obviously did it through normal pick up and your friends watched you do it through normal pick up. I'll just screen record it next time. I guess ordering breakfast is obviously just too much for their small minds.

What a terrible McDonald's!!! The wait is long, the attitude is terrible, and the sundae we got was even worse. This McDonald's should be closed or at least have a company audit! We both got 3.99 sundae, and the ice cream didn't even fill the tiny cup. Pass this McDonalds up and visit a business on the main street. Horrible, Horrible restaurant!

Make sure you don't make the mistake I made and show up to pick up your food after 11am, they won't give it to you. I placed an order before 11am via the McDonald's app for some breakie foods, but I didn't show up until after 11am. The manager working on 5.24.25 acted like they did not understand what was going on and couldn't help me. They proceeded to tell me that they were not able to refund my order due to the order being placed on the McDonald's app. They provided the customer service number. When I called the customer service number, they told me that I would have to submit a claim in the McDonald's app. After submitting a claim in the McDonald's app, they reached out via email. After providing additional information that was requested, they told me that they were not able to refund me and that the restaurant would need to do that. I called the restaurant and they are only able to refund me if I were to come into the restaurant. I don't visit Levenworth often enough.

Cafe
Little Red's Espresso & Bakery is a unique culinary experience curated by owner Aubrey Dickinson, who has been a barista since the age of 15. The cafe offers an array of coffee options, from classic Drip Coffee to innovative choices like the Honey Lavender Latte. Their breakfast menu features signature items such as the Loaded Breakfast Burrito and inventive Bagel Breakfast Sandwich, while lunch options include delectable paninis like the Turkey Pesto and Cubano.
Such a cute little hut for coffee and breakfast sandwiches and burritos!!! While they don’t have any indoor seating, they did have cute shawls on the outdoor chairs that you could use to stay warm as you eat your food. This place has super cute branding and the drinks were awesome. Their drip coffee is delicious!! I also highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and veggie burrito - perfect morning fuel to kickstart your day! There’s free parking right across the street. The views from here and the street are also worth seeing!

We come to Leavenworth often and this was our first time trying little reds. Coffee was super good. The views are also great. Funny signs made us giggle. We also got a blueberry muffin and banana bread which was to die for.

Little coffee/food stand at the edge of downtown Leavenworth! Busy, as they are at a prime location for tourists! Line goes quickly! Super friendly staff! Love the comment-stickers on the cups! Honey lavender latte was decent, but nothing super noteworthy. I’m sure their food items have more pizazz! Great little spot to grab a bite or a sip of something!

This was one of the few places in the area that opened at 7. The rest of the breakfast places opened at 8am. We got the loaded breakfast burritos and they were great. I always love when the burritos are toasted/pressed so they’re a bit crunchy. Lots of meat and eggs inside which is always great. The Madagascar vanilla late was good but pretty standard, nothing amazing.

We both agreed this was the nicest coffee place we’ve ever been. The girls working were sooo lovely and started on my drink as soon as I ordered so everything was out extremely fast. They had tons of good options for food and drinks! We got a giant m&m cookie, Madagascar vanilla latte and white peach redbull, delish! They also gifted us a huge treat for our dog. So lovely and can’t wait to come back 🎃

Lots of sugar free options which I can appreciate. They also have the usual suspects for coffee. They sell sweets, but I feel like all of them are oversized, so you won’t find any small treat here. Big time recommend, solid coffee.

Dont Skip Little Reds! Great coffee! Great food! And the absolute best service!

Best coffee shop in Leavenworth! Stopped by here for coffee and breakfast. Ordered their loaded breakfast burrito, breakfast tacos, chocolate chip cookie and nutella mocha and I was happy to my hearts content! The owners are so sweet and they make everything from scratch with love and it all tastes divine. They have cute merchandise as well. I will stop by for coffee here everytime I am in town. Im so glad they moved from peshastin to Leavenworth downtown. They have a few seats outside but usually I grab my coffee and walk around - convenient location. Highly recommend.

Stopped in this Safeway on a Friday afternoon for a bite to eat and coffee on my road trip. The place was busy. Perfect place to stretch my legs. Parking was fine. Picked up a some snacks and then to the Starbuck for coffee. The kind gentleman behind the counter took my order right away and rang up my snacks too. There were two other employees were making coffees. I did not wait very long. My experience was very quick & pleasant. I always appreciate a nice smile too!

A good Starbucks where you can order quick coffee. There are only 2 coffee shops in Levenworth. If you don't want to stand in line for half an hour in town, it's better to drive away and order yourself a cup of coffee here in Safeway.

The tallish, blonde woman has a terrible attitude. I don't know if she was stressed because they were backed up or if she's just a miserable human being, but whatever the case, there's never a good reason to treat customers like garbage. I rarely give out one star reviews, but when people like this are hired in customer service jobs, it's definitely deserved.

Friendly staff but out of almost everything in the middle of the day (1pm); baked items, cold brews, oat milk, and way more. Really disappointing.

The place looked nice but the staff who was training another member of the team was not very good at communicating. When I was describing the drink I wanted (Cafe misto) the girl rudely interrupted me and said yeah I know what it is but I am showing the trainee where to fond recipes. When I took a sip of my drink, it was definitely NOT a Cafe misto. There should have been more steamed milk in it and the coffee tasted old.

As always the coffee was a fabulous and hands down always the cleanest bathrooms around. When traveling with my children when they were younger I would always stop at Starbucks because I knew I could always find a clean bathroom. I love buying Christmas gifts at Starbucks they always have everything packaged all nice and neat, and quality is top-notch

Went in this morning for a caramel Frappuccino and it was very weak. Embarrassed I came back in to ask them to re do it, and the woman Nicki* rolled her eyes, didn't say a word and remade it only weaker and it was almost white. Very disappointed in the service provided and the quality of the drink. The good news- I'm unlikely to ever have a worse starbucks drink again, can only go up from here!

Hands down the worst experience I’ve had at a Starbucks. Three people working, one had 3 easy drinks to make and the other two were both making 2 whip creams. Waited for 4 whole minutes to order. They served the people after us before us. I know the standard for Safeway Starbucks are low but damn. These kids didn’t care at all that they were working.
