Went on a Thursday evening before Christmas. There was a small line that moved quickly. The kids had a blast looking at the lights and feeding the animals. They were able to ride in the truck bed and touch the animals. Be prepared to pay extra for the Deer Forest and for food to feed the animals. There is a walk through Santa’s Village that is optional after the light show and that is also extra (we skipped this part). Great way for people of all ages to get in the Christmas spirit. Enjoyed that it ended with a small nativity and Bible verses.
I had a blast going here. I did think it was going to be a bit more but I still enjoyed. I am excited to go back during Christmas to see what they have going on. As a mother I would not travel a long ways to go here. I also wouldn't drive the nicest car I have. Lol. I may have a little horn bump but what did i expect? Great laughs and beautiful animals.
We went for the Magic of Lights, it was so packed and I'm guessing if you have young kids it'd be great, but it was just OK, the best part was the drive thru deer experience, but that cost an extra ten bucks and no where does it say that when you choose which way to go, it'd be nice if the sign said "for an additional ten dollars, drive through out deer experience", because although that was the best part, it wasn't anything special. Great for little ones, teens and adults not so much, but I will be back for the zoo itself.
Their light display was one worth of the patience to experience... well maintained, though a little muddle, so don't wear good footwear. The deer forest was worth the admission and feed. Cows and deer came right to the vehicle and there was sure enough deer to keep you on your toes driving.. bring Hand wipes and sanitizer. Cows and bulls will sure make you wish you had some ... but hands down, best experience I've had the privilege to make memories from... Thank you hollywild.
We were very disappointed with our visit today. The main entrance listed on the website was closed, and there was a sign saying that all information is on the website. The website clearly stated that it is open on Sundays from 1–5 pm. We arrived at 1:30 pm, but everything was closed. Later, we saw another sign on the road pointing to a drive-thru, but that area was closed too. We even drove around the entire place, and every gate was locked. We also saw another car driving around, clearly trying to find an entrance as well. Our child was very upset, and the whole day was ruined. Very frustrating experience.
Took my mom and daughter. We had a very nice night. The wait at the beginning was about 10-15 min, after that, no wait at all until we got in line for the deer forest. It is very very muddy, but no a problem for my vehicle.
3HOUR WAIT TO GET IN. Seriously we got in line which is over a mile long at 5:45pm... they close at 9pm. We didn't get to the lights till 8:50pm a WASTE OF MONEY! We drove over an hour to get here and I bought tickets ahead of time in so we had to wait 3hrs for less the nothing. 3 hours 3 HOURS for the line to split into 6 lines.... 2 of which DON'T MOVE. Only to go back to 1 single line. Seriously the 2 far left lines don't get in them youll be stuck watching everyone else get in. The women working the shack are too busy chatting and having "technical issues" to get people through. Watched 12 cars in the line to our right get through as we just parked. I finally had to walk up to the shack and ask whats up and magically the line is moving.... then the person "directing Traffic" let's just the cars to the far right go and forgets there are other lines. I paid $90 to sit in a parking lot..... we also didn't get a chance at santas villages, too long to get in. My kid was heart broken at not getting to see santa or the grinch. Also if you buy online TELL THEM they aren't paying attention so deer forrest, small toys you buy if you don't tell them you don't get it. Just this was a horrible experience. 1 of the geese in the park also has a messed up beak and I felt so sorry for it. We got in 9minutes before they closed. Just not worth it. Paying $90 to get to see some ok lights and animals that are now overfed so the deer forrest wasn't worth the extra $10. None of the animals were hungry anymore. So not worth it. So terrible, I've been coming to hollywild since I was a kid....and honestly this is the WORST I have ever seen it. You'll be paying for a parking lot experience. This just was horrible. I wasted money and more importantly so much TIME.
We go every year. It’s a Christmas tradition. It always worth it. I highly recommend the deer farm! Go early because if you don’t, the animals get full and they won’t eat as much. Always a wonderful experience.

I've always been a fan of BMW and I've enjoyed driving the three I've had. I finally received the opportunity to tour the facility. I had a wonderful time touring the BMW site and museum. It is so state-of-the-art and advanced. Very clean, organized, and heavily involved with continuous improvement, and 6S (6th S for safety). Employees looked like they were enjoying their careers and daily tasks. My tour guide was Mrs. Tracy and she was extremely informative and engaged with us. The one thing that caught my attention the most was the fact that many BMWs were parked in the employee parking lots. That speaks volumes on BMW as a brand and the fact that the employees trust the product enough to own one. I'm looking forward to returning after the expansion and is interested in building a career there, myself!
Cool walk along present and past BMW vehicles produced in the plant there in Spartanburg County. A very cool building with the fountain outside made for a neat experience. They even had a few of the BMW motorcycles on display that were nice looking.
Don’t go with big expectations they have a few classics BMW’s and a sample of all the latest. No reservation required and is walkin to the museum. Clean space nice little cafe and a BMW souvenir store. Takes a max of 30-40 mins to go around
Very informative tour, beautiful facility. Impressive machines and efficiency of factory. Loved that they take you on a bus, give you safety goggles and headphones to guide you through the factory.
The building is an architectural art piece. The museum itself is lacking. Only about 20 cars, 5 worth seeing and 3 motorcycles. Video is interesting. Snack cafe has a few offerings. Most everything in the gift shop is made in China and overpriced.
Very nice tour. Just wish you could take pictures on the tour. Amazed to see how much is sourced from the local area to make each vehicle. Makes me want to buy one.
This was park of a factory tour and we enjoyed it but there is not much to see at the museum and at the factory. It is about a 30mins walk inside the factory at most, a lot of robotic arms and not much to see as they have fence all around.
I visited on 3/6/24. Our tour guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. The tour did not seem rushed and we were able to see many facets of vehicle assembly (excl drivetrain, mechanicals, interior), especially fit and finish. The museum was compact, but comprehensive. I wish they had some additional motorcycles on display; there were only four and I hoped the display would include adventure bikes. Maybe they didn't feature more because they aren't produced there? (Hey, BMW, they don't take up a lot of room!) The biggest miss was the gift shop. I wouldn't be so harsh had I not previously toured the Munich plant (Sept. 2016) and experienced that store. Munich's store was nothing short of phenomenal. Reasonally priced, custom-made goods, with European flair and design. I previously purchased a black "BMW Welt" women's fitted v-neck t-shirt with cool, unusual graphics and made with thick cotton, a "BMW Welt" rollerball pen, a blue "BMW Motorrad Motorsport" women's fitted v-neck t-shirt (again, thick cotton with white and red sleeves and a BMW logo appliquéd patch, a silkscreened image on the other sleeve and "BMW Motorrad Motorsport" larger and written down the back, on the reverse). What the Greer, SC facility did have was two light pink women's shirts that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing (one was a polo shirt). I saw nothing with "BMW Zentrum" on it. Instead what I found was typical American apparel with overinflated prices. I was interested in purchasing items for my three young grandchildren. There was nothing I could find to purchase for them! Two boys and a girl, ages 7, 4, and 2! My son always asks me to purchase books from where I visit for them. I purchased "Greenville, SC" books for them at O.P. Taylor's Toy Store in DT Greenville. I also wanted to purchase a book about the facility. There were no books, postcards, coloring books, children's books, or any reading material for that matter! During my visit I walked through the store three times to make sure there wasn't anything I missed. Nope. This facility has been open for 20 years! What gives? The gentleman working behind the counter in the Isetta Cafe made a perfect, European cappuccino! Bravo. Addendum (2/6/2025): The other day, my grandson was wearing one of the items I bought at the Munich museum gift store in September of 2016. I am adding them to my photos so someone at BMW can see the difference in items offered in the Greer location gift shop.

A serene park in the middle of the bustling surroundings. Walk the many pathways through the densely wood areas. From every location you can hear the sounds of the waterfalls and brook. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the experience. Informational signs provide great explanations about the trees, wildlife, plants and the environment. Work is continuing to enhance and expand the park.
This is a quaint little park that is quite lovely. It’s a great opportunity to walk through the little trails through nature and see a bunch of different flowers and plants. There’s a nice little waterfall and some water features. We stopped here as a stretch break from our long drive And the kids enjoyed the trails. Most of the trails are paved so you could bring a wheelchair if needed. Some trails are steep so if you have problems with steps or have to use a cane, you’ll just have to take your time or go on the less steep paths
One of the best gardens we've been to. It was really done well with good walking paths and neat bridges and arbors scattered here and there. There were surprises sprinkled in like Myrtle the Turtle and the interesting tile work in certain areas. The children's garden was still a work in progress, but looked like it was going to be done well also.
A beautiful woodland garden with paved trails. Great place to take small kids and enjoy nature. The loop is not long but enough to have a good experience.
Pretty place but not very large. Well kept, clean and shaded. Not very crowded but I did go at the hottest time of the day in the summer. Lots of memorials & spots to sit.
Beautiful and sooo peaceful. We visit every time we're close to Boiling Springs. Really miss the koi fish pond that use to be here. Great place to picnic, walk or even meditate if you come early when there's no kiddos.
What a beautiful oasis to come across! There are paved trails and also wooded trails and lots of beautiful plants and gardens! The staff were kind and helpful!
Absolutely breathtaking. I got away from the rat race of life. Breathe again, relax, sit quietly and listen to the babbling brooks, and stare up to the top of the 40' oak trees. I took my family there today. Play loved every moment of it. There is no admission and you may take your dog if they are on a leash.

We came a bit early and there were very few crowds, by 8pm it was definitely turning up. Had the pretzel bites and the loaded eggroll both were very good. Drinks were good but pour(strength) varied upon which bartender was making the drink. Atmosphere was clean and relaxed.
Got their Philly cheese steak with fries. Meat, veggies, and bread were on point. The cheese tasted weird..I would probably get it again but without cheese or maybe sub the cheese for a different kind. It tasted like beer cheese? Or cheese you dip pretzels in. Fries were super good and the staff were incredibly friendly!
Really enjoy this brewery. The wheat/peach based Son of a Peach is amazing. It used to be available around Norris Lake in Tennessee but it is no longer distributed to this part of the country so I made a run from Cincinnati exclusively for picking up several cases. Well worthy the effort Also enjoyed the fish and chips which were perfect and brought out extremely fast. Great staff, great facility. Highly recommended.
Love this home made brewery. The live music is fun and they allow friendly puppies.
I have been twice recently and have not been disappointed by the food or beers! I’ve had the fried Phunky Chicken Sandwich and the Buff Puppies. The chicken was much larger than the bun which provided a few challenges but I would go back any time just for the Buff Puppies. The smash burgers are pretty tasty as well! It can be a little loud at times, but doesn’t make it impossible to talk and have a great time. I will definitely be going back.
this bar is THE hidden gem of spartanburg! their cocktails are out of this world! if you’re in town for a concert or a spartanburger game, this is THE PLACE to pregame. ask the bar staff what their recommendations for cocktails or beer are! they’re super helpful and can help you kick off your night the right way! also try the wings! best in spartanburg! smoked and house made sauces!!!
Was in town passing through for business. Great atmosphere usually live bands the nights I would patron. Barkeep we’re usually very friendly and the pace is broken up into two sections. 1 for the main taproom and the other will a full bar. All in all the experience was great and enjoyed the brews! Cheers!!
We did not come at a very good time to catch this place at its best, so I don't think we got to see how much fun this place could be. We'll definitely be back to check out RJs a few more times, and I hope to be able to bang out a solid 5 stars for them. I understand you can bring your dog to a certain area of the bar, so that's a pretty cool feature that I'd like to try out.

Croft State Park is where we cut our teeth, learning to camp and meeting some great people willing to help us learn. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is also a wonderful place to go hiking.
7/23/25 Nice comfy family trails from beginners/intermediate. Lots of short backs. A few trails are dangerous, be cautious. Some trails with heavy drops with large rocks. Donations are recommended and possibly enforced. Group ride on Tuesday Evening weather?
Great State Park. I only camped, but very interested in the horse trails. Cool history to the place that I just didn't know about this region. The RV spots were decently spaced. The park it's self is pretty and well wooded.
Great camping experience. At first glance, the sites seemed close together, but once set up, there was decent privacy. Great place to bike, hike, watch horses and relax. There is a playground near the horses.
We camped in a 44’ class a with tow. We had been doing one nighters for a few days prior. It felt good to have some room again. Easy in, park across from the office and you’re good to go. We stayed in site #1 and it was reasonably level. Not crowded, lots of hiking or bike riding. The maintenance was superb with staff cleaning the sites and roads of leaves. One fault, a few low branches weren’t good for a bigger coach. We went out the way we came in to avoid them. It was a one way but we could easily see if anyone was coming. After all, it was site one.😉
This park is one I wasnt a fan of at arrival. The sites for larger campers were difficult to get into, not level and we got a lot of judging stares from neighbors. However it grew on me just a little bit as we stayed, only because of the views. The park is beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking at times. We are big fishers and regardless of fishing all day everyday we didn't catch more than 3 fish. There was weak to no wifi which I enjoy when its time to unplug but also creates issues if you need to work.
Nice setting. Slopes on about half the lots are extreme for Class A RVs but we managed.
Mountain biked a portion of the Southside Loop and Palmetto Trail. Moderately technical in spots with some flowy portions. Will definitely be back.

Great place for a field trip for the kids to the educated about the Scottish family Moores and how life was lived in the revolutionary. Here in the Carolinas. Morgan was an excellent tour guide.
Well kept property with educator guides. Great history of American Revolution - House is damaged from Helene under repairs. Donations appreciated!
We only did the self tour, with 3 kids that was easiest for us. One building was under construction. There was a flower garden with so many cool bugs and butterflies. I think we spent 30 minutes there just looking at all the creatures. Staff at the gift shop was very friendly.
A must visit! We are both history buffs so we throughly enjoyed the tour but even more so the conversations after with the wonderful staff and volunteers. I was amazed at the abundance of knowledge and love for the state of SC they have. We will be celebrating my birthday there during the hot air balloon and kite festival.
Very interesting place to check out! I learned a lot from the guided tour. Loved stepping into the past!
I recently visited Walnut Grove Plantation with my husband and my mother. There was only one other couple there at the time we went (11AM), which was nice for us as we hate crowds! We really enjoyed the experience. Lots of things to photograph, which is always a plus for us. Our guide, Paula, was very friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the history of the plantation. She has all of this info ingrained in her memory! She was open to questions and general conversation as we moved from structure to structure. If you are going, please wear good walking shoes as there is a lot of bare ground and in some places, fairly high steps up or down. Wear your sunscreen, and maybe some bug repellant, too! There is a small gift shop and nice clean restrooms in the building where you enter and exit at the front. They do take credit cards.
All the presentations were fantastic. The renovations on the house were awesome. Thank you all the restorations and presentations!
If you enjoy learning and exploring history then this place is for you. Bring a camera because there is a lot to see. The tour guides are very knowledge and after taking you around you are free to walk and explore. Be sure to walk down to the family graveyard where there is no less then 176 people buried.

Best spirits around! The family that owns and operates Motte and Sons are lovely people. It’s more than just spirits. Local products like Those Pickle Ladies pickles and Colonial Milling Co grits are two of my favorites. The real vanilla they make is fabulous and comes in an adorable glass jar sealed with wax. Now that they can serve drinks too, it’s a great stop to hangout or shop, or both!
Awesome spirits, superb management, fantastic experience. I've sampled most of Motte and Sons' wares and they are all amazing. Smooth, flavorful, and with a personality that mass produced spirits just can't seem to replicate. They are all fair priced, and purchasing supports local business. The owners are super nice, and very knowledgeable about their products and history. Drop in and sample some of their liquors, chat with them, and see what Motte and Sons Bootlegging is all about. You won't regret it.
My wife and I got married recently and had Motte and Sons supply us with some alcohol for the reception. One day while we were there to talk about our order we were given a tour of their distillery. The guys were knowledgeable about all their products and were personable. Eugenia was responsive to our needs and helped us out above and beyond expectation. There is a nice bar inside to sit at. They also have a small section of the store for you to purchase local soaps and such. Definitely check them out, they deserve your business.
Love their aged rum. Lots of great gift ideas, also visit them for assorted nuts, cheese straws, etc for Christmas, they are several dollars cheaper on the few things I checked on compared to their neighbors prices. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out especially if you happen to be in the area. 🥂
Had a lovely tasting, be sure to stop in and have your own!
Highly recommended. Great product selection, friendly staff, good value, and close and convenient to downtown Spartanburg. I guarantee if you stop in for a tasting you won't be able to leave without buying something!
This place is awesome. Fantastic liquor. Very friendly and great service. You'll get to sample their drinks. Try the Jalapeño Vodka...delicious and very good kick to it! Definitely a distillery to check out.
This was our first visit not knowing it was a family made liquor store. The owner provided us with many different tasters and a tour...it was great! I highly recommend you drop by and give it a try!

A great to explore. We enjoyed walking on the bridge around the structures and on the trails. We splashed in the water. There are picnic tables and plenty of spaces to just sit and enjoy the views. There wasn't a public restroom that we knew of. We would definitely come back.
Took the kids to explore, this was a perfect place for a stroll, so pretty and the trails were clean. We stayed for a good 2 hours walking around to see all the things. I'd recommend it for all age groups, there's something for everyone.
Glad to see the grounds of the factory are now cleaned up and open to walk about the ruins. I was here a few years ago and it was all closed off. It would be nice to see the city or donor put some more effort into cleaning up the area and expanding that great resource.
Such a little gem! Loved the hike too. Super cool to see the old mill. Such a great area to have picnics, do for a walk or just sit and be.
A very nice, peaceful place to walk, picnic, and explore. The community garden and picnic area is great for kids, and there’s plenty of variety in the trails and scenery for everyone. Parking can be an issue if you come on a nice day, as the parking lot isn’t very big. I’ve heard other people park at the post office, but I always come at weird times of day to avoid the crowds.
What a beautiful place ooozzzing with history. I wish the graffiti was cleaned up, although I find it neat to see...the curse words with young children around I dont like. Alot of trash laying around. But again beautiful place to visit.
Yes siR! This place is cool I wish I'd have come earlier when it was so hot outside and gotten in the water and relaxed. Definitely a really cool spot to let go of the hum drum of every day life and get grounded in Nature.
Wonderful area for an early morning stroll. Beautiful scenery and well-preserved history. You can bring a lock and put it on the bridge. (I saw this at another bridge in Georgia.) There are stairs that will take you down to the rocks. You can swim in the water and climb on the rocks, but there is signage that it's at your own risk. There is not much parking space, but not an issue as we were the only ones there.

I loved it such friendly people and so worth the trip it was so amazing seeing all the old train artifacts!!!!!
Great place to railfan the NS Charlotte Line. There is plenty of parking and cover in case it rains. I was there on National Train Day, and it was a great place for kids!
Great railroad museum in a working depot building. We enjoyed the caboose in the front and then toured the main building. It was small, but full of mostly Norfolk-Southern/Southern Railway memorabilia. The dining car exhibit was interesting since I didn't realize they had offered that. It was cool to see the "SR" logo on chef's hats and coats as well as on the dining ware.
Hub City Railroad Museum is a neat little museum staffed by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable railfans. It is situated inside the old Southern Railways depot, next to the very active tracks that route through Spartanburg. We actually got some great photos of a train coming through just as we arrived. Inside the depot is the memorabilia and history, plus a gift shop. There is artwork and vintage train magazines and schedules as well. The staff will make sure you don't forget to check out the caboose that has been refurbished and houses a nice model train setup, as well as a mini shop for model train supplies. It's a must see for railfans of all ages as a peek into the history of Spartanburg, the Hub City of South Carolina.
What a wonderful, cute little museum. It was our first time visiting, and Bruce walked us through the museum and shared his knowledge of trains and the history of trains in Spartanburg. It's a small museum, but packed with historical objects and lots of local history. If you've never been, it's worth a stop. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. There's also a small gift shop. Also, dont forget to check out the caboose out front!
Great experience, helpful employees/volunteers who were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend trying out this gem!
It is such a great way to spend the morning while learning about the railway. Our son loved it, and we enjoyed ourselves as well. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful little Museum that is run by local people who love the city. It is free and definitely worth taking time to visit. There is a nice grass area with tables for picnic lunches. When we were there we saw three trains go by. It's a fun little place.

Super fun place. First night here and was welcomed as if a regular. So many amazing choice for drink, but the atmosphere is why we will be back. Looking forward to getting my own mug here too!
Terrible service. We came here for dinner/drinks before a show across the street. I understand it was busy so we waited in line patiently and ordered accordingly and I tipped. My SO noted the bill was high but I didn’t think anything of it. 30 minutes passed so we asked kindly where our food was, when asked they checked and it immediately came out. Again things happen so we weren’t stressed until they brought put three pizzas. Now we clearly ordered two pizzas and 1 drink (which was honestly not even a shot of mead but again we didn’t complain). When I mentioned to the lady at the cashier that our order wasn’t correct, she first tried to argue with me then said she would take care of it. Now I’m upset, first off we waited 30 minutes for flatbreads and now the order is wrong when we are two people who clearly cannot eat that much food. That same pizza is brought out and the guy was waiting for someone to get it. I go up to him and tell him hey we didn’t order that and can you please make sure it’s refunded. The lady interrupts and said she took care of it, no receipt given. Of course when I get my credit card statement, there was no refund and I was charged the full amount. I filed to my credit card company but this is ridiculous. We were kind the whole time and to be treated like this for a mistake we didn’t even make it. Definitely won’t be back which is sad because I love local places but that was a terrible experience.
Picked this place after reading reviews - them having cider and mead to go with a nice selection of beers was a plus as my wife is more cider and meads so it had something for both of us. First time here and stopped in on the way from Charlotte to Atlanta and couldn't have been so pleasantly surprised. The bartender, Shelby, is a gem. Her and my wife had a good time talking about Disney. Good selection of different kinds of beers. I had the Dead Men T.N.T. which is a stout that has like 5 different chilies in it. It was awesome. My wife tried a mead that was just meh but the Fruit Cup Cocktail Gluten-Free Smoothie from Untitled Art was more up her speed. Overall, a wonderful place. They're moving into a new location soon so will have to stop in the next time we're in the area.
Great atmosphere, but quiet for a weekday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers and other drinks on tap. I've been bringing a group of 15-20 here once a month for fellowship, and the staff is awesome. Tonight there were several events going on, which is great that it's so open for the community! And it didn't feel too crowded.
Their service is amazing and the beverages are excellent but it's the atmosphere that really got us. Very relaxing and fun. We just hung out trying new drinks and playing board games. Best time really. Will definitely be coming back!
Another stop on our brewery hop. Enjoyed a flight of 5 different styles of beer. Sour, Eyeland cider, stout, brown and IPA. We enjoyed all of the different flavors, giving very high marks to a sour that goes above and beyond. I really enjoyed the Dead Men TNT stout because it had a fun and unexpected (unless you read the description) bite of different peppers. The atmosphere was trying to be fun. There is corn hole and a ping pong table available. Plenty of seating areas inside and some outside which will be nice for warmer days. (Currently February 20th). The bathrooms are very clean. I just wish there was more of a theme kept in mind with the decor, or in this case, lack of decor. But the beer and service makes up for any of that. The bartender was excellent, very quick and helpful. We ordered an extra growler of the sour to go and he kindly kept it cool for us while we were tasting and even made sure we didn’t leave without it.
1 out the 4 beers we had was meh and had a dish soup aftertaste. Could be because the glass might not have been cleaned properly. Great atmosphere, very informative staff. Not my best experience in breweries, but a place to have a decent beer.
Nice space, loved the retro video games. I wished there were more cyders available that day but the ones we had were great. I appreciate their version of pterodactyl beers. I would definitely come back to try again.

Visited Belks(which has been a stapler in my family for yearrrrs) was assisted by Gabby(Clinique Manager) her service was impeccable!! She was patient, very nice, and knows her stuff. Honestly she went above and beyond definitely donot get this type of customer service hardly anymore. See Gabby when/if you go to Belks for perfume, makeup,or any suggestions.
Pretty chill experience on a Sunday evening… This place used to be bustling w/ foot traffic but I guess ecommerce is impacting the economics of the Westgate Mall (or I came on the wrong day)! The Jade Express has a End of the Night 2 Meats & 1 Side Deal for $5 which seems to be the most popular consumer good in the mall. There is a Church where the theater used to be which is cool & interesting. Overall, it was a very nostalgic experience with a variety of retail options. Would raise to 5 stars for some revitalization in other parts of the establishment.
The people in the stores are GREAT! However, their morale seems low. The mall owners really need to reconsider the mall management staff or something. The mall itself is getting run down & trashy. They've even canceled the walking meets that have been there for years. I don't know why they're not getting in any of the major stores or having events to bring traffic back to the existing ones. It's almost like they don't want new stores to open & are just waiting for the existing stores to leave or shut down. It used to be a destination you looked forward to visiting. Now... there's no one there and little to do except shop. Are they pricing themselves out of business or what? They better increase foot traffic with regular events or I expect even their anchor stores will eventually leave, relocate or just shut down.
I felt a need to express my concerns regarding the unprofessional behavior of the “new” mall manager. My husband and I walked into the mall after eating at Red Bowl inside the mall. During our meal we had a conversation about how unsafe my granddaughters feel when shopping at the mall. When we walked out into food court, it was deserted, as if no one at all was in the mall and in our conversation, I was telling my husband this is the reason our granddaughters don’t feel safe here. When there are people here there’s a lot of running around chasing each other and wrestling and very loud unsupervised kind of behavior. At that moment, a lady walked in front and whirled around on her heel and said excuse me, I am the new mall manager and I plan to make this a top notch mall. In a very loud boisterous voice and in my face she said this is gonna be the best mall around. I’m bringing in new stores. I was stunned at how unprofessional this lady was and to be listening in on our conversation and so rudely interrupting us. This mall will never thrive under her management. It was very obvious that she had no professional skills at all. I was left, amazed at how rude this manager was. Two weeks later there was a shooting in this mall!!! So Miss unprofessional, Teresa Murray, has done nothing to improve the atmosphere here. It is respectfully requested that maybe the “new” manager is lacking in very much needed manager training, etc. Or just common sense training to not interrupt a customers conversation with attacking language
1st time visiting this mall was yesterday. I wish that I could've at least enjoyed the food court. Not a big selection of different food places to choose from. I just learned the there was an entire upstairs arcade room and I didn't realize it was that closed off place that lead to a department on the higher level that was shut down. Visited many of the stores and no lie, I could only remember 2 store workers greeting us as we visited the stores in the entire mall. Kinda boring if you ask me.
I went to Victoria secret. The girl working were very nice but mixed up a return and exchange and still haven't gotten a refund. That's not westgates fault. My biggest thing with the whole mall is please have better directions. I rode around the whole big mall getting out to look for hollister. Pretty and clean.
I honestly can't believe this mall is still open. Half the stores are closed, first time I went in here I was very uncomfortable. Its depressing. The second I had to return here to try to exchange a pair of shoes and some of the stores were shut down because of a shooting the day before. If you like feeling unsafe this is a great mall. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.
I went to bath and body works today and watched the clerk at the register talk about a young man with a disability repeatedly and at one point she even said he is special and you can tell it. She additionally said to the other ladies working there that they needed to call security and the couple who had just checked out had said to leave or something because he started walking out and then I said you need to leave because she wants to call security on you and he said “call security, what does that mean?” And I said she wants to basically call the mall police on you and he said “why, what did I do wrong?” That could have been handles way different than her actions. She could have asked where his parents are or something but the whole way it went was awful and I never want to go back there because of it. Sad

Nice time, relaxed atmosphere, and helpful staff. Held the kids attention longer than I thought it would. Hopefully they learned a little too.
Fantastic orginal South Carolina map collection was shared with me by owner who also was Saturday afternoon curator. If you love maps this is a must see.
My wife and I visited the museum today. We'd like to compliment Mr. Ron Swain. Mr. Swain spoke to us for at least an hour about maps, map making, and some truly fascinating history surrounding them. Please thank him. We truly enjoyed this experience!
This museum is the place to go! There is so much information at a free admissions rate.Everything is interesting and family friendly. They have objects from the late 1700s to early 1900s.From maps to appliances. The staff is friendly and are able to answer any of your questions.
Such a fun place to take your kids especially if they are interested in history we loved it and thank you for featuring my child's art work
I swore I took more pictures but I must have been chatting about the history the entire time!
Great way to spend an hour, and it's free. Lots of neat historical items, including furniture, documents, a neat medicine chest, and stuff from revolutionary, civil, WWI and WWII
A free and wonderfully curated museum that looks at the history of Spartanburg with neat artifacts with clever presentation. We really enjoyed spending part of our visit here.

This is a fantastic library with one of the best children’s sections I’ve ever seen. Most of the bottom floor is dedicated to the train-themed children’s section, complete with a massive catalog of books, many computer learning stations, games and learning activity stations, beautiful mural, and outdoor private playground. I spent about 2 hours here with my three-year-old and we only briefly played with everything. We could easily spend half a day here. HIGHLY recommend for kids and parents.
They offer some wonderful things, but only two stars because I've been able to eat in the lobby or the old cafe room for the last 40 years but suddenly with the advent of the planetarium and renovations, there's a zero food policy. The people who were eating in prohibited areas still will, but I won't, so they'll get to stay and I'll have to leave along with all the toddler moms I've seen giving snacks to their children. Hope they get rid of the new policy that only punishes people who were obeying the rules to begin with.
This library is one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. There is free public parking. When I pulled up the lot was almost completely full. It seems many use it which is a good thing! There is plenty of seating and so many different sections. I used the genealogy department and all of the workers and volunteers were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by if only to view! I’ve seen plenty of libraries but rarely are public libraries this elaborate!
Always a good time at the library. Got to visit the new planetarium today and Wow! Such a cool experience.
Passport process was so easy and non-stressful thanks to the help of Patrice! She was the most pleasant, educated, helpful individual. She talked with me over the phone to make an appointment, send me an informational email with what to expect, and guided us during our meeting. I can not say enough amazing things about her and the passport process. Ask for Patrice!!!!
This is a great library, it is big, has tons of books, they have a computer area, teens area, kids area, it's three floors and very beautiful. I love the self book check out. There is plenty of parking right in the downtown area of Spartanburg.
We have lived from the East Coast, to the West Coast and places in between. We are avid readers and believe a love for reading is the greatest gift a parent or adult can give to a child. Our library system in Spartanburg County is outstanding and one every citizen can be proud of….thank you to all the staff for your tremendous work.
We throughly enjoy going to this library. Known as Headquarters. It has three levels inside. The bottom level has various exhibits and children's books. The children's book area comes with many comfortable seats and areas for little ones to play with costumes, puppets, kitchen pretend, and more. On the second level, or main floor, are a variety of books from Manga to more mature content for an older audience. There is also a teen area on this level for grades 7-12. If you follow the wall around to a set of double doors you'll enter the new Maker Lab. Classes and one on one lessons can be found here with a plethora of machines to use. 3D printing, press on designs, embroidery machine, sewing machines, and so much more. Bring your own materials and save money. All money raised here goes back into the budget to help keep the Maker Lab running. Leaving the Maker Lab and heading back downstairs to the rear corner is the newly opened Planetarium. Definitely worth a visit they have shows a few times a week. On the top most floor are many biographies, research books, and the computer lab. This library also has many things to borrow. Plenty to learn and an incredible staff. For more information visit the website and sign up for events. I hope you and yours enjoy this place as much as we all do. :)

Beautiful place for a picnic, take a nap in the sun, or just hang out with family or friends. They host events throughout the year. You can sit and listen to the trains as well as watch the squirrels. The amphitheater is right there
Good walking or biking park. Tons of beautiful green grass to play in.
Great venue for International festival. We love going every year! Nice big park. My one downside is they host a pride festival which I feel is inappropriate for our town. But good park.
I had a wonderful time in the park during the 4th of July Red, White, and Boom celebration. The weather was a bit warm ok hot. But as the evening comes in, the wind blows cool breeze into the night. The orchestra band played and had a group sign in the fireworks 🎆.
I have yet to attend an event at this venue that I haven’t enjoyed! The Park seems to suit every purpose, from egg hunts to concerts to kite festivals. When not used for an event or festival, the park has a wonderful splash pad that the city turns on in the summer months. It’s a great outdoor space!
Park is nice. A tad small in my opinion. Spoke with a local musician who was practicing in the Amphitheater and he said the park used to be nicer but unfortunately lately has had some homeless people leave behind their things.
Came to Barnet Park for Red White and Boom and to watch the 4th of July fireworks. While the park is nice, leaving after the event took a VERY long time. Make sure to plan ahead and enjoy someof the fireworks pictues...
It's a neat little area. There's a splash pad for hot days but it's not always on & I'm unsure if there is a way to check before getting there. My dog loves the water fountain! Great idea!

These artists perform a range of art forms, from photography to painting to 3d works such as pottery. We attended the reception for the annual juried show and enjoyed it immensely. To think that around 50 artists have come together to buy the old church building and provide a sales gallery astounds me. We drove to Spartanburg from Watkinsville, GA and it was worth every mile. I encourage all locals to visit this amazing center.
I just love all the creativity. I would like to learn pottery and paint it. I did it when I was younger and had forgotten about it. The jewelry is beautiful. I wish I could draw just half as good as some of the people here. It's a wonderful experience to be able to view such beautiful work.
Artists Collective is a wonderful group of amazing artists who welcome everyone who comes. We attended an art show with a live music and cocktails and had an amazing evening. A must see for any resident or visitor crushing the Spartanburg area.
The Artists Collective is such a hidden beauty place with amazing Art works. I will be going again in the very near future. There are so many rooms to explore and see the local artists..
It's a great community art center with lots of happenings.
Such a neat place. Converted an old church into dozens of artist studios. Then there are several galleries and retail shop. Most artwork is for sale. All local artists. Love stopping by here a few times a year and being inspired and adding a new art piece or two to my collection. Great place to pick up gifts!
Great place to see what local artists are creating
Love the atmosphere and events here. Enjoyed Robyn Crawford’s talk and reception.

This is an extremely clean and nice facility. 12 courts and upstairs spectator area!! Food is plentifull and decent although not many healthy options. Who says you can't get your Jesus on while playing vball???
The restrooms are inadequate. They need repair. If you are having a large tournament there then hire someone to clean the restrooms hourly. Make sure all things work prior to the tournament. Have custodians available for clean ups. Guests had to team up to do cleaning and find supplies. Stop guests from walking in front of parents during plays. This facility is not set up for large tournaments. There's not enough space, inside or parking. It also feels dirty inside.
Great facility, friendly staff, and the courts seem to be in great condition.
Was just there the weekend of 5/3-5/4 for the JVA Challenge Volleyball Tournament. The custodial service was more than lacking and made the place pretty disgusting to spend 5 hours of your day once the trash cans became overfilled, which was about mid-day on day one. When we returned for day two, it was as if the staff just turned the lights out after the last people left and went home, because the overfilled trash cans were still in the same condition as they were the day before. All outside trash cans were over flowing as well. It was all pretty gross. On day 2 the women’s restroom looked like a hurricane ripped through it, and there were no more paper towels. Maybe this weekend was an isolated event, as they maybe understaffed the event, but all in all, this venue was pretty unkept.
I am not sure why they started charging for parking since parking is horrible. This place also decides to have more than one event going on at the same time which makes parking even worse. Stalls in the women's bathroom don't lock, not sure what that is about. One facuet only has cold water and the paper towel dispensers don't always work. They have the automatic water fillers but they are all on red so not really sure about the water coming out of them. With the money coming in for parking, looks like they could fix the broken items around the facility.
Super clean. Fun safe place. Well organized and ample parking. Multiple sports fields and courts. Clean restrooms and reasonable concessions.
What a poor decision and very poor planning by the new owners. They’ve decided to charge $5/day for parking. By having one “volunteer” (he called himself) collecting payments. One person. Oh and it’s cashless so you have to wait for it to process AND can’t get a receipt unless you type in your email address. This led to an enormously long line, backing up everyone all the way into the main road with a long line there as well. And if knew how long the entrance/driveway is, then you know that that is a HUGE line. Took almost 20 mins to actually park once arriving. They need at least 4 people out there if cashless. Very poor planning and so inconsiderate or their “customers”. So if you get stuck coming here for a tournament, be sure to add in another 20 mins to your arrival time. UPDATE: wish I could give less stars. Second time here and just more and more terrible experiences. 1. The only bathroom can’t support the number of people. Half the stalls don’t have working latches (or they’re completely missing). Half way thru the day (when PM wave is just arriving) most have no TP. And no cleaning is done at all thru the day so most are not a pretty site. 2. Parking is terrible. Not enough spots so you have to pay to jump a curb and park on a scary hill. 3. They won’t allow outside food but then can’t plan well enough to have enough food. We arrived at 12:30pm for the PM wave and were there til almost 9pm one day and will be here til 7 today. Both days they ran out of food (well except for candy). So PM wave folks, be sure to pack a cooler of food for dinner as this facility’s strong suit is not planning. 4. 3rd year here and can’t believe how the quality has gone down. Courts really need to be cleaned and redone! Cleaning between days and throughout the days needs to happen. More chairs and bleachers are needed. Please do something.
This place used to be amazing. It was clean and bright. Not any longer. Numerous lights out. The sport courts and the floors around them look like they haven’t been cleaned in months. Not even swept. Garbage overflowing out of trash cans. Bathroom stalls not working, or you can’t lock the door, or out of toilet paper. Plus not enough bathrooms for tournaments to begin with, and not enough parking. I used to look forward to coming here for a volleyball tournament despite the design shortcomings of the property, but not any more. It is clear they have eliminated their maintenance and cleaning budget and it shows.
