The Peace Center Concert Hall, located in the heart of Greenville next to Falls Park, is a prominent cultural hub for the performing arts. With a 2,100-seat concert hall, a 400-seat theater, and an advanced amphitheater, it hosts over 300 events annually. From acclaimed Broadway shows to classical music concerts and international ballets, the center offers diverse performances.
We went there to watch Hamilton’. The show itself was amazing but I also know the atmosphere of this concert hall made me feel even more magical. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely go there sometime soon again.
Kate W — Google review
Not a bad seat in the house. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Great place to see anything you like from Greenville's amazing Symphony Orchestra to plays and concerts. The acoustics are excellent for sound transmission and quality. It's a lovely building too.
Crisco L — Google review
Received an in person tour from Lindsay a week before my event. Needed to see a better view of seat uptime before I purchased. Tour was very good. Lindsay was very kind and helpful. Seats were every comfortable. Aisle way is bigger than expected so no problems there. The balcony is in fact high as hell. Just like all the comments mentioned. If that doesn't matter to you... it is a great view. Hope this helps. You can also look up view from my seat online and it will help as well. Learned that from Lindsay.
Ohsotrue03 — Google review
Peace Center was very easy to find being in a great location. There are tons of employees to accommodate finding your way, whether it be to find the restrooms or even a cocktail. Memorabilia station was quick and organized. The show Back to the Future was great. This was a gift given to us and isn't our normal entertainment but enjoyed the show. It was even equipped with a REAL DeLoren, moving stages and of course lots of singing.
Jessica L — Google review
Nice concert venue. Friendly staff, good acoustics, cheap parking near by. Get the private balcony seats!
Christopher T — Google review
Went here for the Witcher In Concert tour. Was a wonderful concert made better by this nice concert hall. Very spacious and comfortable seating for what it is and the outside of the hall was very clean and aesthetically pleasing to look at. Concessions were courteous and fast as well. All around, great.
Ian D — Google review
We went to see Fraggle Rock Live here a couple of weeks ago! It's a very nice venue and they're equipped to accommodate large crowds. The show was awesome and they have many more that I would like to see!
Leslie C — Google review
This was my first time at the peace center. I went for a comedy show. I loved the seats, they were so comfortable. We had to put our phone and devices in a locked pouch. I understood why but I didn't like it. But the show and surrounding were great I definitely reccommend

Falls Park on the Reedy is a stunning park located in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. It is often referred to as the "crown jewel" of the area and offers breathtaking views of the Reedy River Falls from the unique Liberty Bridge. The bridge, which is 345 feet long and 12 feet wide, provides an incredible vantage point for visitors to admire the natural beauty of the park.
Greenville is such a pretty town that offers a safe environment downtown with tons of entertainment and food options. This little park is so cute. While we were there, a man was placing some live music and so many young adults and older adults were having a blast- dancing to the music. It was nice to see such a small city come to life.
Kory H — Google review
This was a very smart move the city made in creating this public environment for all to enjoy. They're lucky that they have this natural waterfall feature in their town. it's a great for the locals and a awesome place to stop as you travel. There's a parking garage nearby the charge $3 an hour we stayed for about 3 hours it was plenty of time to relax walk around grab something to eat and head on to our next adventure. The kids like going down to the water and walk on the cross the rocks. It was a very beautiful, and romantic we seen a couple get engaged there. Looking forward to our next visit there.
Nancy D — Google review
Amazed to see the waterfall inside the park & inside the city :) it was charming beautiful & clean. Entry is free. Fascinating to that park & surrounding areas were reclaimed & redeveloped - I can imagine it would have been such taunting task. Reedy riverside walk is awesome. Bridge adds to the beauty.
Balaji V — Google review
This park was so beautiful!! And it was within walking distance of our hotel (Embassy Suites). It was so peaceful here. We walked down the creek for about a mile. It was nice to see people enjoying such a beautiful green space together. There were walkers, joggers, and bikers all on the trail and people fishing in the creek. This is definitely a must visit if in the Greenville area.
Christae S — Google review
It’s our first trip to Greenville and this downtown area is so impressive it makes you want to sell everything back home and move here!! So many dining options, then a great path to take an evening stroll, watch the waterfalls and the ducks. We loved it!
Charene R — Google review
It’s truly a beautiful park with so much to see and well-maintained trails. You can even get into the water, and there are plenty of spots to relax or enjoy a picnic. If you’re visiting Greenville, I definitely recommend stopping by here. We parked a bit farther away, but parking was free for two hours.
HJ C — Google review
What an outstanding place located right in the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The river played a major role in the development of the city from its settlement days forward. The park and the immediate area pay homage to that. A magnificent curved bridge spans the river high above, allowing terrific views of the falls and the rocks that form the bed of the river. There was not much water flow the day we were there, October 18th, but my understanding is that when there is a lot of rain it is an incredible sight to see. There are a lot of activities, restaurants, points of interest, and things to see within walking distance of Falls Park, so find a parking spot and take it all in!
John H — Google review
Wow! This place is Beautiful! I could spend the whole day there! We are visiting and my cousin took us there yesterday and we thoroughly enjoyed our time! She said on Saturday they close down the street and put up a market. We are absolutely going to go back for that!🙂

Greenville Zoo

Mentioned on

Zoo
Nestled in Cleveland Park at 150 Cleveland Park Drive, the Greenville Zoo is a modest yet captivating destination showcasing a diverse array of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians from around the globe. Established in 1960 with a mission to foster an appreciation for nature and wildlife while promoting conservation education, this zoo offers an assortment of habitats housing African lions, giraffes, Amur leopards, domestic animals, reptiles, frogs, and snakes.
A nice and interesting zoo with a relaxed atmosphere and very few crowds, which made the visit more enjoyable. Around 20% of the enclosures were empty, which was a bit disappointing, but there were still enough animals to make the visit worthwhile. It took me about an hour to walk through the entire zoo, and overall, I’m glad I came. A pleasant and peaceful way to spend some time.
Volodymyr B — Google review
Smaller zoo which makes it great for toddlers! We were able to walk through in less than 2 hours. We purchased our tickets ahead of time, walked right in, and had no problems! They allow you to bring in outside food and drink as well which is always helpful with kids. The biggest attraction is the giraffes. We were able to feed them right at 10am when the exhibit opened. Would definitely recommend if you have kids in the area!
Abbie C — Google review
It's a small downtown zoo, so you have to have perspective. You can walk the entire thing while taking your time at each enclosure in 90 minutes. So if you are expecting the NC zoo size, then it's quite different. The variety of animals is quite good and on a calm and pleasant day you got to see everyone active. Distance to every animal is fairly close so getting pictures or seeing their movement is really easy. The entire park was clean, well laid out, and simple to navigate. Pricing was typical for concessions and souvenirs, and gate price was lower than your really big zoos which was nice to see. I was very impressed with what you were able to experience while being wedged into a near downtown area. I will come back.
Gregory R — Google review
Greenville zoo is a fun place for a family outing! If you can, I suggest you buy tickets online as it saves you $2 per ticket and all you have to do when you come to the gate is give the confirmation number and you are all set! I went on a Thursday and it wasn't that busy at all! I went with a friend and our young kids and they loved it! Especially the Orangutans and the Monkeys. We only had 2.5 hours to spend there including having our packed lunch which took a half hour of that time. We would have easily spent 3 hours in the zoo part and probably another hour at the park outside the zoo.
Esther L — Google review
This is a small zoo. It's beautifully maintained. The animal habitats are well-designed and constructed. The exotic animals, birds, reptiles, and tortoises we saw looked in peak condition. The Barnyard exhibit is empty. It is going to be rebuilt. There was no litter or graffiti. It was our first visit. We definitely plan to visit again.
Bobbers G — Google review
Such an amazing place to visit while in Greenville. From the expert volunteers to the mist tents to the staff to the animals, this zoo is a great destination for young and old visitors. Our 6 & 9yr old loved the giraffes, spotted African dogs (new) and reptiles that were all well kept and our guide educated us just enough to keep the kiddos engaged. We highly recommend this zoo. Side note, there's some construction for new exhibits but this won't put a damper on your visit. Also, it's not a huge zoo which is a plus as you can make it through with limited chance of kid meltdown.
Vincent R — Google review
Fun day at the zoo with the kids and grands. Small zoo and some exhibits were closed. But still a cute zoo to visit. Very hot the day we went. They had misting stations around zoo, which helped cool things off.
Keila N — Google review
Was awesome! Small zoo but has giraffes, Orangutan, some big cats, etc. Now is the perfect time to go as the animals were very active, including the Alligator!

Museums
The Greenville County Museum of Art, located in downtown Greenville, SC, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. It features an extensive collection of American art with a focus on Southern ties, spanning from 18th-century portraits to contemporary pieces. The museum is home to works by renowned artists like Andrew Wyeth and Jasper Johns. Additionally, visitors can explore the vibrant downtown area with its charming boutiques, eateries, and entertainment options.
This museum was free. Visited on Saturday morning, and it was moderately busy. The museum guards were extremely knowledgeable and had amazing details to share about the work and the artists... which I really appreciated. It is accessibility friendly with ramps and an elevator. The gift shop wasn't open as it's currently being renovated. I had a wonderful visit.
Barbara J — Google review
An absolutely fantastic place! I’m really glad I had the chance to visit. The museum features several floors of impressive art exhibitions, showcasing a wide range of paintings. I was especially lucky to catch a live concert during my visit — a unique performance with bells and other unusual instruments, conducted like a true orchestra. It added an unforgettable layer to the whole experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
Volodymyr B — Google review
Who doesn't love a free art museum? Even being under renovation, we had a lovely time here viewing what was on display in the available spaces. And there was a lot! I especially loved the art of Elizabeth Bradford, her vibrant images of nature were absolutely beautiful. It's always wonderful to experience new art in person. Even if you don't care for certain pieces, being immersed in a space with so much passion and creative effort is powerful on its own.
Jennifer L — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed the Jamie Wyeth exhibit. Their was a film that described his life and work. The museum is well organized, staff was great. The only downside was the gift shop was closed as we visited on a Sunday.
Elaine Y — Google review
Really nice art museum. The museum has a great Wyeth collection, including several works I'd never seen before, and the rest of the exhibits were equally outstanding.
Larry — Google review
Walking through the museum's grand entrance, I was immediately captivated by the array of art and artifacts on display. Each exhibit seemed to tell a unique story, drawing me deeper into its narrative. As I wandered through the halls, I found myself transported through time and space, from ancient civilizations to modern masterpieces. The museum's curated collection sparked my imagination and ignited my curiosity, leaving me in awe of the beauty and creativity of human expression. It was a truly unforgettable experience, one that left me inspired and enriched.
Jeannine J — Google review
Wonderful. We went on a special day. There was an antique sale with local shops displays. Entrance was free. The art was displayed beautifully and there was a nice variety. I will go back when it is just the art. The building is very modern looking but built in 1974. It is also a piece of art.
Diana S — Google review
We really enjoyed this museum. The artwork was beautiful. The staff were friendly. They had a fantastic Roaring 20s band called Absynthe Minded. And best of all.... It was all FREE! They are working on the main entrance, so save a few steps and head to the back.

Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum & Baseball Library

Specialty Museums
The Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum & Baseball Library is a dedicated space in the former home of baseball player Joe Jackson, located near Fluor Field. The museum showcases interactive exhibits about Jackson's life and career, including his time in the Textile League and his controversial legacy. On game days and Saturdays, visitors can explore the on-site research library with over 2,000 books about the sport.
We enjoyed this Museum. It is only open one day of the week for a few hours. Therefore it’s pretty popular. We had to wait in line for an hour and a half before entering. Once you get in, an older gentleman gave a talk about Shoeless Joe, how he got his name, and his life. This area also serves as a gift shop and has a re-creation of the liquor store Joe owned, complete with antique cash register and backdrop (photo op). Next, you walk up a ramp to his original house, which is pretty cool. There is the kitchen, and bathroom, living room, and some bedrooms, One of the bedrooms is set up like a locker room. There are a lot of paper memorabilia in that room in a metal drawer unit. You might miss these, so be sure to take time to look in the drawers. On the walls throughout the house are some very interesting newspaper articles, pictures and memorabilia. There was also a gentleman upstairs who was able to answer questions. Arrive early, as there is a long wait in line. They only allow about a dozen in ever 20-30 minutes. While waiting, a museum worker was outside who knew baseball and “fielded” all sorts of questions and also just enjoyed listening to baseball comments. He was knowledgeable. The museum is free and I believe all the workers are volunteers. Pretty sweet operation under those circumstances. We wondered if this tour could be run been more efficiently so one would not have to wait so long outside in the line. One suggestion is perhaps for them to do a video introduction for people to watch while waiting in line. The man in the first room could give that video introduction as he was very animated and enjoyable to listen to. People could watch that outside while they’re waiting in line. If there was no line at a particular time, then allowing people to enter directly for a live talk would work. I liked learning about Shoeless Joe Jackson and his life. The sad part for me is that while completely cleared from charges of fixing a game in the World Series, the commissioner went back on his word and did not allow Joe and the other 7 players to play again. “What could have been” is left to the imagination of others.
Susan S — Google review
All of the volunteers were knowledgeable, engaging, and nice. They are very welcoming and answered all of my questions. Cool to be in the house that he lived and died in. Used the space well and everything is labeled. Took the free tour then walked around the museum by myself. Great location and spent a lot of time here (1+ hours).
Nicole J — Google review
This museum was so darn cool, even if you’re not a big baseball fan ! The hours are limited to just Saturdays for now so make sure to plan to go while it’s open. It’s only open one day a week because it’s run by volunteers. We were led through the house/museum by a marvelous guide— who was extremely informative and provided such interesting stories using history about shoeless Joe Jackson. Very interesting story. A must-see while in Greenville.
Kelly S — Google review
While driving downtown Greenville SC, I stumbled upon this museum. The name had me curious, and since I had a family member who was knowledgeable about the history of Joe Jackson, we decided to stop. The admission fee is $7, and you can either walk through the museum or have someone escort you through each room, giving you with the history of Shoeless Joe Jackson.
Chantay C — Google review
Tour guides are very kind and knowledgeable. Travelled from St. Louis, Mo. and have to say it was totally worth it! The gift shop is unique and very nice. Make sure to come down on a weekend when the Drive play, it just adds so much more to the experience.
Gavin W — Google review
We scheduled this stop after our myrtle beach vacation. Being a big baseball fan and huge fan of shoeless joe and everything black sox it was a must do. The gentleman who took us on the tour I think his name was norm, apologies if I'm mistaken, he was absolutely outstanding, very informative and friendly. I'd recommend this place for every baseball fan. I'd definitely make the trip from Toronto without hesitation. 🙌
Sal S — Google review
A must stop for any baseball fan or anyone interested in history. Plus it's free, but I donated some cash. The docents are very knowledgeable on the subject matter. And questions are encouraged. It's also within walking distance of Main Street with many shops and restaurants. An added bonus with a minor league baseball within the same block.

A must do when in greenville for a weekend! Just be respectful. Get the kids involved and not just running around. Thank you for the amazing experience. The souvenirs are awesome!

It is a relatively nice and mostly shaded bike and running trail to go on. You would like it. Though towards the south end, once you exit the park the rest is just off a street.

A fantastic resource in Greenville for people wanting to get outdoors - the expansions are making this a major artery for runners and bikers - it's an easy ride with no large climbs, well-maintained and a great place to get in a good ride or run. Highly recommended!!

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate, established in 2009, is a haven for kids under 12 and those young at heart. Situated near downtown Greenville, this expansive 80,000 square foot museum boasts 19 interactive galleries catering to children aged 1 to 15. Recognized as a Smithsonian affiliate since 2014, it draws visitors from across the United States and abroad.
What a wonderful place; can’t believe after so many years in Greenville I am just discovering it! I took my six and nine-year-old here last weekend. They had so many interactive and fun stations in addition to a big park fenced in outside where kids can run around.. the only thing o would say is to maybe offer more actual food options in the cafeteria for us parents that are there ALL day long🤣we got there around noon and stayed until they closed at 4:30. For $15 a person I would say it’s money well spent !
Gina M — Google review
Great place for kids of all ages. The exhibits are very interactive and can keep them busy for whole day. My kids had fun doing the science experiment at the STEAM lab. There is also a special zone for very small kids, a nursing room and a mini golf at the 3rd floor.
Swayam V — Google review
(Images edited to hide identities as I don't know who those people are, and they might not want to be online) Great place to bring kids to play for a while. We do wish they wouldn't charge adults with full price ticket, as we aren't there really for ourselves. Sadly we went on a rainy day and the outdoor playground was closed (but looked cool). They have three floors of exhibits and displays. Very interactive and the kids had a lot of fun. Several of the displays stood out as very inventive. They had a lung display in the body exhibit that you could put a light weight cloth into and it would shoop around inside the lung tubes and then pop out the top. (second floor) They had a Publix grocery store where kids could "shop" and then they could check out at the register and push the buttons for the vegetables then "pay" by pushing the currency amounts on the other side. (sadly other than beeping the UPC codes wouldn't actually scan onto the screens) In theory one kid would run the register and the other would be the customer but kids liked to do both sides themselves (self checkout people in training I guess). Genius of Publix (south eastern ish grocery store chain) to sponsor it. Gotta plant those loyal customer seeds early. Seriously though Publix is a great grocery store, excellent sub sandwiches. (see images) They also had a fully functional crane in the construction exhibit which was very well done (3rd floor). It was magnetic so you could pick up some "I-beams" and some various sized boxes. There was pretty much always a line for using it. Definitely a hit, had the dual joystick controls and button for turning on and off the magnet. (and a safety so you couldn't lift things really high up (about 6 foot) and drop them.) Their 1st floor was a little smaller than the others but had a great water table exhibit, probably do that last unless you want a wet kid running around the rest of the place. (see images) Their staff was friendly and helpful. Specially the puzzle area (kind of inside the Publix store) their staff there did a great job. Lots of little wood puzzles and brain teasers kind of things. We spent quite a bit of time in there. Definitely go by when they are open. They also have a 9 hole mini golf course as well (small tennis balls so you can't whack it and knock some kid out) so that was pretty cool as we like to play putt putt golf. They also have a large climbing display thing in the center of the building that spans from the 2nd to the 3rd floor (entrance and exit are on the 2nd floor so you kid can't go up there and get lost) It is a little bit loud, as most children places tend to be. But we definitely enjoyed it. We didn't have time to hit the library or art museum next door but maybe one day. It was a good location downtown and parking is free on Sunday apparently.
Wraith S — Google review
Amazing hands- on children's museum, with different stations to explore. Kids engage with ciences, mechanics, art, and imagination as they climb, build, and play through three levels. Water and outdoor play options, as well as a canteen area and toddler area.
Lorna H — Google review
An excellent learning space for children of all ages. The exhibits are hands-on, creative, and thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity. I really appreciated how the museum blends STEM concepts with art and play. The facility is spacious and well-maintained, and there’s a great café on the lower level for parents to recharge. A must-visit for locals and tourists alike!
Jessica P — Google review
The perfect rainy day or too hot summer day place for a kid to explore and learn and get all their wiggles out for all ages! So much to do, to spend hours inside. At minimum expect to spend 2 hours just to explore all the museum has to offer but if your kids are playing and enjoying themselves it’s perfect for an all day play date!
Sarah B — Google review
This place was so cool. Even as a 30 year old mom, I enjoyed it with my children. There's SO many rooms, these pictures are just from a couple of rooms. There's three floors of stuff to do included with the ticket. If you have EBT, it's $5 a person. Even if you don't live in SC. The workers were kind, and they have a little store where you can buy toys and books. My kids had an absolute blast and we'll definitely be back!

What a treasure in the upstate. My grandchildren just beg to go there and explore. We make a "grand" weekend (live in athens) of it, stay marriott downtown go to museum, shop, eat fancy, memories to cherish

The Roper Mountain Science Center in Greenville, SC is a hub for science enthusiasts. It features various attractions such as a planetarium, observatory, arboretum, and living history farm. The center aims to foster an interest in different scientific fields through its educational programs like Starry Nights and Science on Wheels. Visitors can explore the mile-long nature trail with a butterfly garden and pond filled with aquatic life.
We enjoyed the Roper Mountain Science Center. There were a lot of engaging, interactive exhibits and activities for the children. Children under the age of 18 even eat free in their cafeteria and it was a nice, healthy, and nutritious balanced lunch. The butterfly garden had many beautiful butterflies. The Wild Kratts Adventure Exhibit was fun and every station throughout the center was very educational. From seeing snakes and underwater creatures up close to exploring a pirate playground, dinosaur trail, and living farm, there's something for all ages.
Kahleela B — Google review
My kids and I had the best time!! I thought admission was really reasonably priced for the summer adventure, $15 per adult and $14 per kid. Plus, kids eat free?? What?? (From 10:30-1:00.) I got a yummy salad for $3 too! My littles are currently obsessed with Wild Kratts and dinosaurs, so obviously when I saw the traveling Wild Kratts exhibit and the life size dinosaur trail we HAD to go. But they also loved petting the stingrays and starfish, the butterfly encounter, the animals and gem mining at the farm, the playgrounds....really just everything! We made a special day trip from Columbia and it was so worth it. We got there at 10:40 and had time to do everything, but I'd definitely recommend trying to get there right at 10:00 so you can have the full six hours. You won't run out of stuff to do! My kids are already begging to go back.
Shalynne O — Google review
Our son and us had an absolutely fantastic time together for the entire afternoon. Plenty to do if your little ones have the patience to wander around several small exhibits. And when they don't there are two playgrounds to help them focus their energy and give the adults a little break. Dinosaur trail is short but they have all the favorites. Butterfly trail is probably incredible during the right season but we unfortunately didn't see much. Only wish is that is that it was open later, not sure why it closes at 5 when the observatory is open until 8.
Randy Y — Google review
Was blown away with all of the fantastic sections of this museum. More kid friendly, with playgrounds and other areas within the museum.
Elissa E — Google review
This place is awesome! The hours are a bit strange, but there are so many things to do and learn in a day here. All the staff were so kind, it is super affordable, and walking around is also a great way to burn some calories and wear out the kids. Can’t wait to come back for some of the events they put on!
Jessica R — Google review
Went here with my kid for a school field trip, had a blast. The food wasn't good unfortunately. Low end cafeteria stuff and very overpriced. No drinks except overpriced bottled Costco water.
Sean D — Google review
The science center has been a favorite of our family for years. Rotating summer exhibits as well as permanent exhibits, a fun outdoor dinosaur trail, a couple outdoor play areas, Living History Farm, and the Hall of Science featuring live animals. There is also a planetarium and telescope viewings. Hours and exhibits change depending on the season, so check their website before making plans to go.
Loretta D — Google review
I have been visiting the Roper Mountain Science Center since I was a child! They have truly revamped it with the addition of the Environmental Science Building in recent years. There are plenty of passionate, friendly, and engaged staff members who help enrich the childrens’ experience. There is so much to learn and spark an interest in STEM in the minds of young visitors. Tickets are reasonably priced and even include free lunch during the summer. I highly recommend spending a day here!

Sights & Landmarks
In the heart of downtown Greenville, South Carolina, lies Falls Park on the Reedy, home to the iconic Liberty Bridge. This modern footbridge offers stunning views of the Reedy River Falls and is known for its unique single-sided suspension design. The park itself features beautiful stonework, walking trails, waterfalls, picnic areas, lush gardens, and public art installations. Nearby attractions include Cleveland Park with its zoo and Swamp Rabbit Trail for biking and nature walks.
This is such a great place to take in the City of Greenville, SC, AND feel like you're in a Sanctuary removed from the hustle and bustle of the world around you. Take your time strolling the pathway with your family, loved one, or even by yourself. Stop to listen and see the beauty that the city is built around. There are several shops and eateries to fill all types of likes. This is a great place to fill your cup. We can all make a difference when our cups are full.

Beautiful scenery! Loved the Bridge. Nice place to spend with family and friends. Downtown location near restaurants and shopping centers.

We arrived just after a nightlong storm, that left several trees down, and damages across the park. The city worked cohesively to clean up as quickly as they could. The park was still beautiful and a sight to see.

Beautiful area just to spend the day and relax. Plenty of area down along the Reedy River. We went on the first kind of warm weekend so, there were quite a few people there

The Nicest bridge in Greenville SC, it beautiful and worth watching with the rivers falls, also there’re cool areas in the town, Liberty Bridge is worth visiting and taking photos and videos.

A stunning urban landscape. They have created one of the most beautiful city parks I have ever visited. The bridge design is brilliant.

Absolutely stunning view of the waterfall! It’s beautiful any season of the year. The water level changes a lot depending if we had any rain recently. The pedestrian bridge is pretty wide so even if it gets busy with visitors it is still enough space. If you are coming to Greenville this is a must place to visit!

The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 22-mile multi-use greenway that connects Downtown Greenville and Travelers Rest, offering a flat and easily bikeable route suitable for both kids and adults. Families can enjoy the sense of adventure as they pedal through urban centers, green spaces, and attractions like the Swamp Rabbit CafA & Grocery, Hampton Station, and Furman University.
A+++ PROS****VERY Clean and kept up. Bathrooms were also clean and well placed. Several places to grab lunch that had bike racks to lock your bikes and people watch or bring your own lunch and eat at one of several picnic tables. I thought I wasn't going to be able to carry my weapon but the no guns sign was for the zoo. There was a bike shop midway which included a very thorough bike washing station. Didn't bring your bike? Plenty of electric bike rentals. The water falls were awesome but probably would have been better if it had rained in the last ten days. Plenty of play areas for kids with a water park, rock climbing wall see (drone shots). It even had a snow cone truck. Very dog friendly with pooey bags throughout. CONS****The trail isn't marked in some spots leaving you wondering if you were on the right route. We have recumbent bikes and there were 2 hills we had to get off and push our bikes. It was really to crowded to get a workout on the bikes. Could have been the beautiful weather and being a Sunday.
Brian K — Google review
As a local, I love being able to walk/ride/run the SRT. Plenty of options for access and length along a paved path. Weekends get pretty busy, but it’s never been too crowded to enjoy. My favorite path is from downtown Travelers Rest to either Furman or the Commons for a snack and back.

A beautiful space for enjoying a bike 🚲 ride, or walking the 🐕 dog or pushing the stroller and taking the kids out for a walk or bike ride. Stretching from Travelers Rest SC and into the heart of Greenville SC, it's a beautiful trail 🌳🐿️ for any activity level or distance. Enjoying the outdoors and the wonderful weather 🌞 is a great way to spend time on the swamp rabbit 🐰 trail.

Goes for 17 miles, clean, most people are courteous, can walk, bike, rollerblade at any age. Cars are patient when crossing certain sections. It’s kept so clean free of ravage and natural debris. Highly recommend checking it out…. The little shops along the way are amazing. Bathrooms and food available

Great greenway right smack in the middle of Greenville SC. Easy walking paths available for running, biking, skating, dog walking. Some parts are wheelchair friendly too. The waterfall feature is great for cooling off during humid summers.

We love this trail because you have many different areas you can jump onto around any area you are staying in, Greenville, SC. There is much to see on your walk and things to teach your children and family about, too. I love the easy and shady walk too. The sound of nature is exhilarating.

The Swamp Rabbit Trail was such a beautiful way to enjoy the Greenville landscape! We are not avid bikers, but due to the flat terrain, easily did 19 miles (9.5 out and back). It was very easy to rent a bike for half a day and still be able to enjoy the stops along the way--such as The Commons, Swamp Rabbit Grocery & Cafe, and Furman University.

We walked approximately 4 miles of 21 miles. Well maintained trail. Beautiful scenery, lots to see along the way. Dog bags, garbage pails

Jianna is a stylish restaurant located in downtown Greenville, offering stunning views of Falls Park. The menu features a mix of house-made pastas, seafood dishes, and oysters on the half shell, complemented by specialty cocktails. Nearby, Passerelle Bistro serves French-inspired cuisine such as escargot and crab cakes, while UP on the roof provides rooftop views until late at night. Jianna's visually stunning setting includes a patio overlooking Main St.
I went out to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we had a great time here at Jianna. The waiter was very helpful with the food and drinks recommendations. I had the duck cooked medium rare, which I have to say was the most delicious duck I’ve ever tried. We got the prosciutto and ricotta honey apps and paired them together (heavenly). My friend got the lobster dish which she enjoyed. For desert we tried the classic olive oil cake which was good but not my favorite for dessert. Overall had a wonderful dinner and I will definitely be coming back since they change their menus seasonally! I am excited to see what they come up with next!
Esther T — Google review
If you appreciate fine dining and truly professional service, Jianna is a must-visit. My wife and I were absolutely blown away by our experience here last night, one of our final dinners in South Carolina. Staff: Our server, Matt, was phenomenal. He knew the menu inside and out, describing dishes with the knowledge and passion of a chef. He was attentive, kind, and just the right amount of funny; clearly someone who loves what he does. One of his recommendations ended up being my order, and it was spot on. The hostesses we met were equally kind and welcoming, making us feel valued at every interaction. Food: This was, hands down, the best meal we’ve had in a long time, and we eat out often. We’ve dined in some of the finest places, and Jianna measured up to some of our favorite places. My wife has celiac disease and must avoid gluten, yet the menu here was perfect for her. Almost everything could be customized, allowing her to enjoy the same experience as everyone else. The gluten-free pasta was incredible. I ordered the Halibut, and it was the best fish I’ve ever eaten, and I grew up on an island where seafood was a daily menu item. The Fingerling Potatoes were bursting with flavor, the Tomato Bisque was smooth and satisfying, and the Summer Salad was a fresh, light start. Every dish had brilliant flavor combinations. It’s no wonder Jianna sells a cookbook! The only regret I have is not buying one to take home so I could try my best to replicate our experience at home in my own kitchen. Atmosphere: We dined on the outdoor patio, which was perfect. The soft sounds of the street below added to the warm feeling of the restaurant, and to top it off, a musician in the park provided live music as we ate. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. If we could go back tonight, we would in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a spot to eat… stop looking and just give them a call and reserve a seat.

Really great meal here! The burrata is a must-have and might as well get some extra bread while you're at it. The chef's created pastas were really well done. I got one with lobster and there was a generous portion of lobster. Very heavy handed on the garlic which isn't necessarily bad but just know what you're getting with that. Didn't have room for dessert after all of the good food but would like to try that in the future. Would definitely go back. We sat outside and it was nice (other than the more-than-occasional loud car) - probably wouldn't work in the heat of summer but was great when we were there (mid October).

Ate outside. Nice and quiet. Had a heater to keep us warm. Offered still or sparkling water. Jacob B was our waiter. Very attentive and explained our dishes to us in detail. We got the Radiatore, Gemelli and Fusilli. All delicious. The pasta is made fresh and lots of fresh Parmesan on top. The Fusilli has large chunks of lobster which was tender and juicy.

Excellent evening from start to finish. Nice and quiet, elegant and classy. Server Fernando was super chill and knowledgeable. Being in the business it's nice to be served for once and treated like family on a Tuesday. Chef on expo when we walked in. This is an owner that doesn't take his foot off the gas and has a culture that is apparent in the vibes of the staff. Smiles all around! Nice to see on a Tuesday. Can't wait to return!

Went to dinner last night for my husband’s 36th birthday and we got a nice spot on the balcony overlooking falls park. There was a sax player out there playing all throughout dinner and the weather and ambiance was great. Our food and service was exceptional and we were really glad to meet our server, Conner. We loved the food so much we got a Jianna cookbook signed by the chef to take home. Thank you guys for such a great evening!

I visited Jianna to celebrate my birthday and had the chance to try a wide variety of dishes. Appetizers: We ordered several starters, including the Prosciutto, NC Burrata, and Marinated Olives. While all were fresh and enjoyable, they didn’t stand out—good but nothing particularly memorable. The Char-Grilled Octopus was nicely prepared, but it lacked the bold smokey, charred flavor I’ve experienced at other restaurants. Entrée: For my main course, I tried the Fettuccine Ragu special with veal and pork. Unfortunately, this dish fell short. The pasta was overcooked and mushy, losing the texture you’d expect from fresh pasta. On top of that, there wasn’t nearly enough ragu to coat the noodles, making it difficult to taste the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Dessert: To finish, I ordered the Affogato. While I appreciated the concept, the espresso was overly bitter and tasted like it may have been over-extracted, which threw off the balance of the dessert. Overall: Jianna has a beautiful atmosphere and some promising dishes, but based on my experience, execution was inconsistent. A few items were enjoyable, but others—especially the pasta—missed the mark. I’d be open to returning and trying different menu items, but overall, my birthday dinner didn’t quite meet expectations.

Nothing like a tiny sign and a door in a wall to say... "We are amazing!" Andy was fantastic from start to finish. I followed his recommendations through most of the meal as well as alcohol pairings. Wild boar shank ravioli, leeks, shiitake mushrooms, Sicilian pistachio, pecorino paired with the "Socrates" Gnocchi sardi. Basil pesto sauce with hailbut, tuna, and grouper, roasted heirloom tomatos and ricotta Paired with a white wine. Didn't catch the type. It was Andy's recommendation Chocolate Pistachio Bar Feuillentine, Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio Ricotta, Granella Sommelier Recommends: 2020 ‘Braida’, Giacomo Bologna, Brachetto d’Acqui, Piedmont, Italy This meal was a 10/10. Nestled beneath Barley's in downtown, The Trappe Door exudes an old-world charm and offers a wide array of traditional Belgian dishes and an extensive selection of Belgian and Belgian-style beers. The subterranean bar boasts a diverse range of refreshing saisons, malty pales, and funky sours. Patrons can also indulge in classic cocktails such as the Sazerac or the house Ramos gin fizz.
Incredible food in a fantastic and unique atmosphere. Service was excellent and the servers suggestions were spot on to our palettes. I has the Steak Frites and it was one of the best steaks I've had in Greenville, SC. The only critique I have is that their fries are, perhaps intentionally, bland. A small bit of salt and pepper would do wonders for them but I suspect this might intentional as they provide 3 unique sauces of your choosing for dipping. Get a reservation and go enjoy this incredible restaurant!

This is a great place. A must go to in Greenville. Belgian Pilsner beer Wild Mushroom Vol-Au-Vent Seasonal wild mushrooms cooked in a white wine and garlic cream sauce served in a puff pastry boat Braised Short Ribs Leek mashed potatoes and creamy brussel sprouts
Reid R — Google review
The food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. We had the Baked Brie and Beef Tartare to start, both awesome. Entrees were braised short ribs with creamy brussel sprouts (these were really impressive); wife got the sautéed duck breast in cherry sauce with PHENOMENAL bacon diced potatoes. I was jealous. I’m not super into Belgian-inspired beers, but they had a ton to choose from if that’s your jam! I would highly recommend this place purely on service, the food, and ambiance.
Jeff S — Google review
The food was amazing. It was bursting with flavors! The atmosphere is pretty cool. Love the wood and brick features. The service was adequate, however we were asked multiple times if they could clear a plate, or if we wanted a box, when we were only halfway done eating. That was a bit frustrating. I'll go back. The food alone is worth a return trip.
Jonathan W — Google review
The Flemish onion soup was delicious. The seafood waterzooi was a bit salty and the shrimp was a little overcooked, but otherwise decent. That stew also appeared to be Americanized since it has more things in it and served with bread which was not the case when I visited Belgium. The inside had a old-world Belgian vibe since it's located below street level.
Travis T — Google review
Didn’t expect Belgian food in Greenville, SC but it happened and I’m glad. We walked down the stairs to the carmine colored walls and bar area and found two seats at the bar. Ordered the house made ginger beer. For apps we tried the beef croquets and Flemish onion soup. Would order the croquets again but not the soup. Then main course shared moules-frites (mussels and French fries) with three different types of mayo. Heaven.
Dave Z — Google review
Love the ambience - staff is amazing - beer selection is great. The problem for me comes from what we ordered - beef stew should have... Beef in it and I barely found one small piece in what was like a runny soup. The onion soup was a puree with nearly zero taste and I had to add salt to just taste onions. Next time I'm in Greenville, I won't be going there at least for the food - $100 for a beer and two meals with little flavor and nearly zero beef is not okay with me.
Steven H — Google review
A real authentic Belgian experience. We come here every time we find ourselves in Greenville SC. A somewhat nondescript entrance, you descent into the dimly lit basement and be surrounded by the buzz. Food and beer are great! We feel like we are in Belgium!

The Anchorage is a neighborhood restaurant in Greenville known for its casual atmosphere and top-notch American small plates, cocktails, and wine. As a James Beard Award semi-finalist, it offers an ever-changing menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy small plates like burrata mozzarella and salmon crudo or opt for the Four Course Appropriately Portioned Tasting to experience a variety of dishes.
Maura waitress & bartender was amazing, chef was hip as they come. Drinks were inventive but not to much, asked my preference and made a cocktail on the fly. Cacio e Pepe was unique and flavorful, bread service was fresh baked, Collard Green plate was creative and great. They deserve a Michelin Star

Everything about the Anchorage speaks yummy! Friend had the gnochetti with anchovy and loved it. I had the sablefish with creamed corn and to say it was delicious is an understatement. It was truly amazing. The white wine we ordered was outstanding, perhaps the best white I've ever tasted at a local Greenville restaurant. Order this one if you love white wine! See the photo. The server Tabitha was so bubbly and fun, and her personality shone through. The manager acted as som and was chatty throughout. We were a table of five as walk-ins and the staff accomodated us promptly. We even sat on the upstairs deck outside for a nightcap. Do not miss this little gem of a balcony! A great spot for an after dinner drink.

Anchorage is a standout in Greenville’s food scene. We sat at the bar on a Tuesday and loved every bite. The Butterbaby Squash Carpaccio was light and creative, the Grilled Bradford Cabbage turned a simple veggie into something unforgettable, and the Seared Black Cod was perfectly cooked with a smoky jalapeño beurre blanc that tied it all together. Portions were spot-on, flavors were balanced, and each dish complemented the next. Thoughtful food, great atmosphere—absolutely worth a visit.
Elise S — Google review
Anchorage delivered an outstanding dining experience, from the moment we arrived to the last bite of dessert. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is impeccable, and the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Appetizers: Bread Service – The sourdough bread was incredibly fresh, with a satisfying crust and soft interior. The cultured butter and bourbon liver mousse were both excellent—perfectly spreadable and paired beautifully with the bread. Louisiana Tuna Crudo – Bright, refreshing, and full of exciting textures. The balance of citrus, umami, and the crunch of black sesame seeds made every bite a delight. Main Courses: Brasstown Beef Flat Iron Steak – Cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the Covington sweet potatoes, kale, and rutabaga purée. The sauce was the silent powerhouse—deep umami-rich flavors with just an ever-so-slight hint of sourness, adding intrigue and balance. Pappardelle Bolognese – A rich, full-bodied dish with perfectly cooked pasta and deeply flavorful veal & flank steak sauce. Every element was executed flawlessly. Drinks: French 75 – A beautifully balanced, crisp cocktail with Roku Gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and sparkling wine. The citrus was bright but not overpowering, and the effervescence added just the right amount of elegance. Mango Angel – A tropical and velvety drink made with Espolon Tequila, lime juice, spiced mango cordial, and egg white. The egg white foam gave it a smooth, silky mouthfeel, while the spiced mango added a subtle heat and complexity. Dessert: Pecan Entremet – A beautifully presented dessert with layers of nutty, creamy, and caramel flavors. The textures were just as impressive as the taste, with a crisp shortbread base, airy mousse, and a glossy, delicate finish. Service & Atmosphere: The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt well taken care of. The restaurant itself is in a charming area with quirky shops, bars, and restaurants, making it a great destination for a night out. Parking was surprisingly easy, which is always a plus. Pricing: The quality of the food, service, and ambiance justifies the pricing. Our meal, including two cocktails, two appetizers, two entrées, and a dessert, came to $127 before tip. Given the execution, portion sizes, and the use of high-quality, fresh, seasonal ingredients, the prices felt reasonable for a fine dining experience. Missed Opportunity?: If there’s one small thing that would have made the experience even better, it would have been the option for an after-dinner espresso. It wasn’t on the menu, but perhaps they offer it if requested. Final Thoughts: Anchorage is a must-visit for special occasions or anyone who appreciates seasonal, high-quality dining. The rotating menu means there’s always something new to experience, and we can’t wait to see what they offer next time.

This meal was out of this world. We did the table tasting and they serve all 9 of their entrees in sets of 3 (for 3 courses) and in portions perfect for the party. The dishes were creative and the flavors were amazing. The 4th course is a dessert. There are 2 floors for dining, the kitchen is open on the 1st floor. The music is great. Service outstanding. Soby's is a renowned restaurant in downtown Greenville, housed in a renovated 1800s historic cotton mill. The airy, brick-walled space with a huge wine cellar offers an inviting atmosphere for diners. With over 20 years of experience, Soby's serves reimagined Southern fare prepared by executive chef Kyle Swartzendruber and pastry chef Tarciani Hargercrab.
One of my new favorite places for sure! We had a table upstairs which was great for us, a little bit quieter. The waiter suggested a crab cake appetizer and She-Crab soup. So that's what we did. I had the Halibut entree and my husband had the Shrimp and Grits. Everything was on point! The sommelier, Robert, helped us find a bottle of wine to compliment the meal, and the price of the wine was less than we had anticipated. To finish the evening we shared a piece of Banana Cream Pie - it was worth the extra calories. If you're looking for a comfortable setting to have some amazing food then this is it!
Lori B — Google review
High class food, but high prices. Soby's is the kind of place that you want to go if you wish to make a good impression or show off to others. You will find dishes here that are far nicer than other places around. At the same time, I really just don't enjoy it. I cannot fault either their quality or their staff, and the location and look is just amazing. But for the price and quantity that you get, it's just not ever going to be high up my list. I tried their quail, hoping to have a new experience and enjoy a different flavor. I understand it is a small bird, but really all I got was a sliver of taste for the quail itself and then an overwhelming portion of stuffing and the flavor of that. Portions, like you would expect from high class, are small but price is double or triple what you could pay for a larger meal elsewhere. It's an experience, and a mostly positive one, but not really a meal that I would choose.

We really enjoyed brunch there yesterday. The atmosphere is comfortable and vibrant. Britt gave us excellent service even though she was covering 12 tables. The food was exceptional. My Shashuka was great and my wife's Egg Benedict on a fried green tomato was excellent. I had to try their special Old Fashion which rocked!!!

We had an amazing dinner at Soby’s last night! We were seated right away, and while they do have a lovely calm outdoor seating area, we chose to sit inside. The service was excellent; our waiter was one of the friendliest and most attentive we’ve had in a while. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the crab cakes, which were packed with crab meat, and the Brussels sprouts with goat cheese... You must order these! For the main dish, we shared the filet, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. For dessert, we tried both the banana cream pie and the passionfruit cheesecake. Both were good, but the cheesecake was definitely the winner. If you enjoy sweet cocktails, I highly recommend the Lady Diana (vodka, St. Germain, and mango purée), so refreshing! Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

F&P has been on my list of local restaurants to visit- and when I saw their Restaurant Week menu, I decided to pull the trigger. With a reservation, we walked in and our table was ready. I did see parties waiting on seating throughout the night, however. Portion sizes were very generous for the price; $45 for a 3-course meal. Added on some amazing bread and a couple drinks at an extra charge. Apps included the pork belly and tomato pie, entrees were chicken marsala and the short rib, and for desert we got the brownie and the cheesecake. Still dreaming about the marsala and short rib- would definitely go back again for either, and loved the apps as well. My only issues were not being greeted by the hostess, and not getting a very friendly energy from our server. Otherwise, food came out quickly and the atmosphere was great!

I’ve eaten at Fork and Plough three times, each was absolutely delicious!! The food is like a flavor bomb in your mouth. Their menu changes 2x daily to accommodate the local foods that their receive. I would recommend making a reservation since they are so busy. Fork and Plough also has a counter where you can purchase desserts, chicken pot pies and more. If you order in advance, you can pick up meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a veggie for your family on Mondays. I believe friend chicken is available on Wednesdays.

Fantastic all the way around. I dont give 5 stars often. It was my first time there and I hope its not the last. It would be great if there was a place on your website that directed the customers to somewhere that has a picture of the menu. I like to take my time deciding what I want. I couldn't find a menu for that day and I was really wanting the chicken and waffles and it wasn't available. The shrimp and grits were pretty spot on though.

Fork and Plough is one of those restaurants that you’re either extremely lucky to live near or you wish it wasn’t 40 minutes away (like me). Everything from the staff, the food, the atmosphere, and even the building itself is so warm and welcoming. I came during brunch on a Saturday around noon and the restaurant was buzzing and playing cheerful music. I chose to sit at the bar and ordered a Bloody Mary, which was quite good. The brunch menu had some amazing sounding options and I settled on the smoked salmon bagel. It was ridiculously tasty! The bagel was perfect, the smoked salmon had zero toughness and the side salad was very fresh and perfectly dressed. Normally bage sandwiches can be meaty, especially ones as loaded as this was, but taking bites was zero issue. If anything, I’m embarrassed I ate it all so fast. Every staff member had a great attitude. I can see myself making a monthly trip to Greenville just to eat here. Come here, it’s totally worth it!

We had high expectations for brunch at this rooftop restaurant, but everything except for the view fell short. We were the first to be seated and the last to receive our food. French toast, with its beautiful presentation, bamboozled us about its bland taste. The French toast was overcooked. The chicken thigh was dry. Both Full Throttle Burrito and Grandma's Hangover Helper lacked flavor. Service was friendly but sparse. My daughter ordered extra bacon, and it didn’t arrive until she finished her French toast. The server didn’t notice that the bacon was missing until we pointed it out twice. Besides the beautiful view, the one bright spot were the delicious biscuits that were brought out before we ordered. However, we were told the biscuits were complimentary even after verifying if they were. Then, they showed up as a charge on our bill.

Our experience did not start off great but thanks to Duke, the manager and our server, the night was a wonderful experience! We had a large party of 20 and had a reservation for outside. When we arrived we were told we were bumped due to a larger party. We were very disappointed. We specifically chose this location for the roof top dining experience. The hostess did not help the situation. I did not get her name…I’m hoping her attitude and passive aggressive manner is due to her being inexperienced. Duke came out and explained the situation, went over alternative seating, and once we were seated…he sent over nachos for the table! Throughout the night, Duke made himself visible and frequently checked in. Duke even brought out the chef! Our server, Allison, was great. She was patient, kind, and very informed. She is a fantastic server and handled our large party flawlessly! I only took a pic of the small meat and cheese platter…wish I took more! We had the nachos, Brussel sprouts, scallops, lettuce wraps, and so many more delicious dishes! No one was upset about their food choice. Drinks were great too! I had a Tito’s and unsweet tea…you could tell it had alcohol in it…which is nice! No watered down drinks! Overall, I’d recommend this place! They have an outside area that is first come first seated. Lots of tables and chairs all around the balcony. Would be a great date night spot! If you make a reservation for the other outside seating area, I’d call that morning to confirm you did not get bumped.

If your looking for a nice, laid back place to hang out, enjoy a great meal and have a drink or two Up on the Roof up a great spot to do that. It has a very nice view of the city. And let’s not forget to mention Duke, the manager. I enjoy myself every time.

Service was great. I ordered the Clucking Good Cobb salad and crab cakes. The crab cakes were good, but the chicken on my salad was so dry that it was separating from itself. The toppings tasted as if they had been frozen and thawed avocado, eggs, bacon blue cheese. They brought another piece of chicken at my request and it was almost as dry. The two people with me said their food was OK, but nothing stood out about it. The weather was nice so we ate outside. The table was not cleaned before we sat down. The servers were very nice and accommodating.

We had a great time went for a late lunch/drinks. Our service was great. The food came out hot and on time. The drinks were made right. The view was great of both mountains and city. A wonderful place to spend a sunset.

It was OK. We were sat outside in the section away from the bar and service was quite slow - 5 July so maybe new / junior staff. We shared an appetizer, the charcuterie board among 4 - it was huge. They didn't have the muscles so I tried crab cakes and others had the Shrimp and grits. The views are great but we won't rush back. So many better places in Greenville to eat. Maybe we just had hit a worse evening.

I had family in town and we were very much looking forward to a unique dining experience at Up on the Roof, but unfortunately, this fell short in providing such. When we arrived, the dining area and extended patio dining area was empty yet we were told it was busy and no outside seating was available. We didn't have a wait, but we did make reservations well over a week in advance and were really hoping for the outdoor experience. The view from inside wasn't bad, but we chose Up on the Roof to sit outside and enjoy the fall weather. Additionally, while the service from our server was great, all three of our main courses were lacking. We did start out with the nachos and those were fantastic, but that ended up being the best part of our meal. The three main courses we ordered fell flat. The crab cakes looked like canned tuna fish, the burger was dry, and the potatoes that came with the cod dish were underseasoned, so I skipped eating them altogether. Overall, it was a mid experience and may or may not be back again.

Latin American restaurant
Asada is a cozy and inviting restaurant that started as a food truck before expanding into a permanent location. The menu features classic Mission-style tacos, quesadillas, and burritos with high-quality ingredients like melted queso, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Owners Gina and Roberto draw inspiration from their time in San Francisco while incorporating various ethnic influences into their Latin fusion cuisine.
We got here because of the high ratings in their reviews and we were not disappointed! It a small cozy place with a really nice atmosphere and the owners are super nice The menu is very interesting with a lot o nicely presented specials which showcase their Latin fusion style. I ended up getting a grilled portobello and Peruvian chaclo taco and the boiled yucas and my wife got the chicken asada burrito. I'm not a vegetarian but this taco was delicious, a cacophony of flavors and textures that complemented each other so well, the soft textures of portobello mushroom was a good contrast to the crispy large kernel corn and the Swiss chard gave an umami touch to it. The boiled yucas balls were delicious too, just a little bit of cheese inside , enough to taste it but not overwhelming the yucas flavor. The chicken asada burrito was very generous and delicious too! We will come back for sure

Stopped here on a Sat just before it opened. By the time we got our food the place was packed so very happy we were there early. Everything we had was great! Guac was super creamy. Quesadilla was unique (not cut). Cuban sandwich was super yummy. The menu is large with many yummy Latin dishes from different countries. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed my meal at Asada, the food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is casual but inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. My only note is that the portion size was a bit smaller than I expected, which left me wanting just a little more. That said, the quality more than made up for it, and I’d definitely come back to try other dishes on the menu.

The counter person was friendly and helpful with our decisions! The food was top notch!! Very flavorful! Everything on our plates went well together! We had the grilled lamb, yucca purée and fig salad. Nicaraguan style churrasco! Plus the tropical Sangria was tasty!! We would absolutely go back and it would be hard to not order the same items!

Wonderful place with great ambiance. We had a large party and everyone enjoyed their food & drinks tonight. I did not LOVE my scallops, because they tasted a little fishy, but the delicious Brussel sprouts & other items made up for them. We also got several appetizers & they did not disappoint. Our favorite was the Artichoke Toast. Our waiter, Paul. Was very attentive & friendly.

This place is incredible. I was recently able to dine at Roost for the first time, as I am not a local to Greenville. Chad was our server and greeted us warmly and promptly brought our beverages. He proceeded to take the most simple appetizer order.. the bread board. When we received the board, the butter provided with the warm baguette was FAR from simple. After we finished the board I knew we were in for a treat.. Because if you can make bread taste like that then the possibilities are endless. We ordered a sirloin that seemed to melt in your mouth. We also ordered a dirt bird (I think it was called) which was cooked to perfection with this savory, what seemed to be a BBQ glaze on top, served with a side of rice and what seemed like some crispy hash browns. The food was top tier, the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was classy but laid back, and they even had the NFL games on the TV in the corner that just so happened to be in my perfect line of sight. I would go out of my way again to dine here if I find myself back in the Greenville area. 10/10 , 5 stars , chefs kiss.

My mom and I came here 2 months ago for a pre-show lunch, and we were not disappointed! I can't remember exactly what it was called, but we had an appetizer of fried cheese nuggets with some dipping sauce that tasted amazing. I had the philly cheesesteak, and oh my god was that cheese sauce heaven! I had a campfire s'more cocktail that was absolute delicious, and my mom had the spicy pineapple margarita which looked amazing as well. I also want to point out that Jasmine was our server, and she was very polite and professional during our time there. Everything was so nice, the food, the service, the atmosphere... well worth the visit!

We had dinner here before walking to Bon Secours, the service was great and the food was very good too. I was hoping for a larger wine list, but what they have is very good. The booth we sat in wasn't the most comfortable, but I understand, this is a hotel restaurant.

Cudos to Christian our server. We felt very welcomed and received great service. He gave great recommendations for food and drinks. Portions were very generous. Food came fast and was very good. I have ordered a medium rare steak and received just that. The ambiance of the place is great and so is the decor. It's definitely a place to visit. I highly recommend it. Sitting inside and outdoors is available. We found it after arriving at the local hotel late, and this place was still open. I'm glad we did.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a fantastic dining experience at Roost during South Carolina Restaurant Week! The pre-fixe menu offered a great selection, and everything we tried was delicious. We started with the truffle fries and artichoke toast, which were both flavorful and perfectly prepared. For our main course, we each had the filet topped with pimento cheese, and it was cooked to perfection—so tender and full of flavor. The sides were equally impressive. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake and cheesecake, both of which were the perfect ending to our meal. We also enjoyed dirty martinis to start, and they were mixed just right. One of the highlights of our evening was stepping out into NOMA Square, where the Main Street Friday night event was in full swing. We loved the live music and even danced a bit. Roost has outdoor covered seating with a view of the square, but be sure to reserve in advance if you want to sit outside. We had indoor reservations and were seated promptly. Overall, it was a great meal and a perfect evening. Highly recommend!

Pros: Great food Generous portions Vegan/vegetarian options that are delicious 😋 Beautiful view of Downtown Greenville Main Street The Truffle Artichoke Toast is a must-try for our plant-based foodies Hubby didn't have a crumb left of his Smash Burger, so he highly recommends that Vegetarian pasta was tasty as well, but I wouldn't order a second time Cons: Our server, Paul, could use a lesson in customer service. His nonchalant demeanor was a bit of a buzzkill. Every question seemed to be met with a dismissive response. Despite the less-than-stellar service, we left a $30 tip instead of the $20 we intended. (That one's on us, we didn't double-check the total!) 🍸🤦🏾‍♀️ You're welcome, Paul. Parking is tricky, so arrive 15+ minutes early if you have a reservation.

Good restaurant with even greater service. I had the roost burger and the blt. They were both just decent. The salad was excellent! We had the burrata board. WOW! Really tasty. The burger was a bit soggy for me. The bun anyway. The fries were fries to a nice crispy brown. Would I come back? Maybe. If so it would be for the service, burrata board and atmosphere.

I am in the area for recording content and found this great cajun spot in Downtown Greenville. From start to finish, the experience was great. I caught them during a slow lunch, which was perfect because I got to get my server James on camera as he walked me around the restaurant. My Po Boy and red beans with rice were seasoned well and with nice portion sizes. It's definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Authentic Taste of New Orleans in Greenville! I just had one of the best seafood gumbos of my life here—rich, complex, and absolutely delicious. But the meal was so much more than that! We started with the charbroiled oysters, which were incredibly fresh and savory. The hush puppies were exquisite, and the fried okra was perfectly seasoned and not at all greasy. The star of the show, though, might have been the side of fried catfish; it was so tender it literally melted in my mouth. Incredible meal from start to finish!

The pinnacle of dining experience. Not five minutes after walking in the door they already have a soup flight on our table to taste test. Everything on the menu is delicious it's hard to choose, but they've made it easy, they have a soup sampler, or a half po' boy with soup. My favorite was probably the gator, usually it's a bit tougher, but here it was so tender. The food came out quick, and was reasonably priced. The walls were covered in New Orleans decor just like a Cajun restaurant should, and the staff was very friendly each time I went in.

⭐️ *Exceptional Cajun Dining Experience* ⭐️ As someone who travels to town for work several times a year, I'm thrilled every time I visit The Lost Cajun. My wife and I recently dined there during happy hour and were yet again very impressed. *Happy Hour Highlights* We enjoyed sharing the Catfish Bites and Cajun Sausage with a nice mustard and tartar sauce for dipping, paired with a featured beer, Kickflipper IPA. 🍺 *Main Courses* I had the Chicken Po'boy*, which was expertly prepared - crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned with a delicious Cajun sauce. I also opted for the crispy Cajun fries as a side. My wife loved her Catfish Etouffee. Our server, Sophie provided warm and attentive service, making our dining experience better. *The Verdict* The Lost Cajun delivers authentic Cajun cuisine with great service. I'm looking forward to visiting again on my next work trip.

I had the crawfish ettoufe, hush puppies and a beignet. The portion sizes were huge and that was just about the best thing about the food. The ettoufe was a bit bland and I had to add a lot of hot sauce. The hush puppies were served with a cinnamon butter but would have been much better with an aioli. And the beignet was so far from being a beignet it was sad. Beignets are fried, not baked. I'm seeing pictures in over reviews of the beignets and they look so different from the one I had. Mine was basically a large piece of bread with an extreme amount of powdered sugar. It had the taste and consistency of a dense piece of sourdough.

This was a very pleasant surprise with great hospitality and great food. The hushpuppies-trust me-go ahead and order the large serving. Sasha is the best ambassador for the restaurant and the city of Greenville. She made great recommendations that satisfied our every craving. They have a flight of all the best tastes that’s not on the menu, but there’s also a sampler of 3 that is filling and a great value. Will definitely return whenever we’re back in the city.

The Lazy Goat is a top Mediterranean restaurant located by the Reedy River in Greenville. The menu, crafted by culinary experts, offers a variety of small and large plates inspired by Mediterranean flavors. Diners can enjoy the open kitchen ambiance and choose from a selection of seasonal wines to complement their meal. A must-try dish is the prosciutto and vegetable Creste di Gallo, best savored on the outdoor patio alongside fried goat cheese.
Came at 2:30pm for a heavy snack to tide us until dinner. Beautiful views and nicely decorated. We order 3 apps and they were all amazing and unique. Brussel sprouts were delicious with a tasty glaze and perfectly cooked. Fried goat cheese were tiny balls drizzled with honey and nuts. Very good. Traditional hummus had a lot of flavor and came with crispy crackers and pita bread. Our server Dominique did a great job explaining all the options and provided excellent service. Bill came to $33 before tip.

We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Finding parking was pretty tough and we had to pay for parking down the street. We got a lamb dip appetizer with pita chips. It was okay but pretty under seasoned. We split a garden salad and the taste was good but the presentation was odd with the lettuce presented in a large chunk instead of already sliced. For entree's my wife got halibut and I got steak. Both were delicious and well seasoned. For dessert we shared a piece of chocolate Marquis cake which was very rich and tasty. The atmosphere was pretty busy and noisy without much room to get around. If going at a less busy time it would have been more enjoyable. It took almost 2 hours to get in and out for only two people which isn't terrible but isn't great either since we were ready to order each time the waiter came by. Overall, not a bad spot but didn't meet expectations considering the price, logistics of getting in and out and atmosphere.

Had a wonderful time at the Lazy Goat. David was phenomenal and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our meal was delicious. I had the Berbere-Honey Glazed Half Chicken which I really enjoyed. I went with a friend who had been there but I had not been. He had the Tagliatelle which was excellent. The lamb was cooked to perfection and so tender. One critique was that it could have used a little more sauce. I had the Gnocchi Sardi which was also very good. The white wine sauce was quite good with the lemon flavor as well. Again one critique I would have is adding more tomato, spinach and feta. The ratio of pasta to extras was a bit off balance. Not enough to take off any stars but just helpful critiques. I also added grilled chicken to mine which was only $7 extra for a whole cooked chicken breast and this was cooked perfectly as well, so tender it could be cut with a fork and the flavorings paired perfectly with the pasta dish. All in all a great place that I would go again but this time I would try the Tagliatelle dish. Prices also reasonable for downtown. Was $28 for mine and $26 for my friend’s. We did not get an appetizer or dessert so tax and tip was about $79.

I came to the airport to fly back to San Diego. The drop off area was easy to navigate. The baggage check counters is spacious, clean, and well decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. At security check I had to go through secondary because of some toothpaste and strawberry preserve. I had to go back downstairs for baggage check. After checking my bag, I made my way to the gate. Asheville Regional Airport

Transportation service
Airport
Asheville Regional Airport, located in North Carolina, is one of the closest airports to the Smoky Mountains. It's about an hour's drive away from the park and provides easy access to the eastern side near Maggie Valley and Cataloochee. Despite its small size with less than 10 terminals, it offers a pleasant travel experience with fast check-in services and efficient security checks.
I’ve traveled through many regional and international airports, and I have to say—Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) consistently surprises me in the best way. Whether you’re arriving to enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains or departing after a rejuvenating trip to western North Carolina, AVL does a great job at making your airport experience smooth, friendly, and even enjoyable. ✅ Check-in and Security The check-in process was a breeze. The staff at the ticket counter were courteous, and I appreciated how well organized everything was. Security was quick and efficient—TSA agents were respectful and professional, and the line moved faster than I expected, even during peak morning hours. ✈️ Terminal and Layout The terminal is small, but AVL makes great use of its space. Everything is easy to find—gates, restrooms, food options—and you never feel overwhelmed or lost. It’s a one-terminal setup, which means less walking and no confusing concourses to navigate. If you’re used to big-city airports, AVL’s simplicity is incredibly refreshing. 🌄 Scenic Views One of the absolute best parts about this airport? The mountain views. Large windows throughout the terminal let in lots of natural light and frame the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. It’s a peaceful and beautiful environment, which definitely helps ease the stress of flying. 🍔 Food and Amenities There are a couple of solid food and beverage options post-security. I grabbed a snack and coffee from the local Blue Ridge Trading + Tavern—prices were fair, and the staff were welcoming. While the food choices are limited compared to larger airports, the quality is better than you’d expect at a regional facility. 🚗 Parking and Access Parking at AVL is very convenient. I’ve used both long-term and short-term parking, and I always find a spot close to the terminal. Rates are reasonable, and the shuttle service is fast and reliable. If you’re being dropped off or picked up, the curbside area is very manageable and never chaotic.

The airport was nice and cute, and it had a clean and well-organized layout. However, the TSA security check process was quite slow, especially during peak hours, which could lead to long queues. Despite having nice equipment, this may cause delays and potentially make you miss your flight. Additionally, the airport is currently undergoing an improvement and expansion project, so it's wise to arrive a bit earlier to avoid any delays. Overall, they manage things well, and everything else was perfect. I would prefer to visit Asheville again. Thank you!

What an upgrade! I will say that I miss the sweetness of our old airport, but it is about time that we entered into a new era with the amount of travelers we have. The renovation is so well done. The bathrooms are sparkly! And there is room in the bathroom stall to bring your luggage. What a concept! We have a few restaurants, although I would love to see something local, but I understand that Jimmy John’s and some other restaurants make more sense now than one of our local brew pubs. Maybe if we keep expanding we’ll get one of our local brew pubs or restaurants to have an outpost here at the airport! In the meantime, I’m just thrilled with the sparkling new renovation. And… 12 gates! I feel like we’ve all grown up!

I have been in the new section of terminal several times since it was first opened. I've reported some of the issues to the airport authority, but as usual they don't respond. 1. The airport is required by the FAA to have service animal relief areas in the airside area of the terminal. I travel with a certified service dog (diabetic support) and can report that the relief area is no where to be found here. Several staff have told me "there is no such thing, go outside". 2. Lighting in the new terminal is very glare-prone and unusable in many places for reading. It's annoying that it was so poorly designed when there are so many well-designed airport terminals. 3. Screens displaying vital information have serious software issues with the system that's controlling them. These glitches are on screens right around the airport. 4. The screens displaying flight information as well are poorly designed and unreadable even from usual distances. The text should be much larger, using a more "bold" font, so that they can be read from normal distances and seating areas. I've attached photos showing all these problems. The time to fix them is now while contractors are still in-place and warranties of merchantability are still protecting the public (who own this airport).

Asheville Regional Airport is a pretty straightforward, no-fuss travel hub that gets the job done efficiently. It’s a smaller airport, so don’t expect anything extravagant—but that’s actually part of the charm. Security was quick and stress-free, and the whole process from check-in to boarding felt relaxed and easygoing. No need to rush or deal with massive crowds. There’s a calm vibe throughout the terminal, and everything is easy to navigate. The staff and TSA agents were all friendly and helpful, which made the experience even smoother. It’s definitely one of those airports where you can show up a bit later and still have plenty of time to spare. While it doesn’t have a ton of amenities or dining options, what’s there is clean and decent for a regional airport. Overall, a solid travel experience. If you’re flying in or out of Asheville, this airport keeps things simple and stress-free.

New terminal that opened in June 2025 is beautiful. The rental car pine is always way too long and they dont seem to know how to staff it when the few flights they have arrive. Perhaps this is Avis and Budget's fault but we rent cars here at Asheville airport often and they run out of cars, only have one window open (like now with 12+ people in front of me and the line is moving insanely slow). It is not safe or fun to stand outside with lightning all around us. Hoping they improve this situation soon

Asheville NC I gave the new/remodeled airport 4 stars because at 5:30 am the line for security was out the door. I had psa pre ck and that line was much shorter. A coffee shop and the newsstand/ junk food were the only stores open in the new north concourse but no lines. Ladies room is huge but no TP in the stall I went into. There’s a water bottle refill which I expected but nice it was easy to see. Gate 7 has a conversation area w/ low table and comfy chairs. Also tall chairs w/ counters for eating. Cell plug ins were scattered- not in every seating area. Also 2 private booth type areas- all to accommodate the restaurants since they don’t have seating. All the eating areas are carpeted w/ industrial type carpet but that doesn’t seem the best choice for eating.

Have always loved traveling through Asheville airport. They make it quick and easy! And the new addition is beautiful! Also wanted to high five TSA this morning for helping me get to my flight on time. I forgot my wallet at home and they did their responsibility of confirming my identity and thoroughly checking my bags, but they were super helpful, gracious, and kind in the process! Appreciate people who take their jobs seriously and also value customer service and helping out a struggling traveler! THANK YOU!
