Restaurant
The Beacon Drive-In is a legendary establishment in Spartanburg, serving classic American diner fare and ice cream to customers parked in their cars. Since its founding in 1946, it has been renowned for its famous Chili-Cheese-A-Plenty burgers and claims to sell more iced tea than any other restaurant in America. This iconic drive-in offers a unique and lively experience, with locals always ready to assist newcomers with their orders.
A long overdue review. Life happened. The best fried food in the US. The Beacon still uses fat to fry their food. That taste cannot be beat. It's an old time restaurant. The staff makes everyone feel like a local, but the vast majority of the customers are locals since it's a bit off the beaten path. The portions are HUGE! Eating here must be what it's like in heaven. I had the hamburger steak and it was wonderful. However, for the first time I had their baked beans and they are the best I've ever eaten in my 76 years. I mean, WOW! The onion rings BURST with flavor. It's a good thing The Beacon is 3,000 miles away or I'd weigh 900 lbs. Oh, the prices? The best value of any restaurant I've visited in years.
Norman B — Google review
The food is consistently greasy and overcooked. The portions are humongous, but the flavors are lacking so we seem to leave a lot of food behind. The kitchen part of the restaurant does not looked like it gets cleaned regularly. The menu has a large selection, but if you don't get fries and onion rings, your food will take awhile and it may not be correct. The sense of urgency to order is overwhelming - look at the menu before getting in line or you'll be told to "tighten it up!" When the peach cobbler is warm, it's a nice ending to a meal there.
Rachel L — Google review
First time visiting The Beacon and it was a hit! They give you SOOO much food! My son ordered a burger, I ordered a small flounder (2 piece) and my hubby ordered fried chicken livers. All of our meals were A Plenty, which means they came with fries and onion rings. The restaurant is a true diner, so it's loud and fast paced. The staff is kind and the food is GOODT! My fried flounder and those hush puppies 👌🏾‼️
Shawden W — Google review
My husband and I went here with our baby and the staff was SO incredibly kind. They came up to my son and played with him as we waited for our food to be made. The kindness and southern hospitality made the meal even better. The food was delicious, it’s greasy comfort food! Not sure one can eat it every day but it’s definitely a treat.
Katie M — Google review
Classic "Aplenty" type burger joint that's been serving Spartanburg for decades. We finally visited while traveling in the area. It was exactly like we imagined. Over the top piles of food with a fun staff member calling out your order to the back. This is similar to the Varsity in Atlanta. The only complaint was that the food could have been seasoned more. It took a lot of salt sprinkling to make the onion rings and fries just right. The pimento cheese burger was really tasty. Can't go wrong with that.
Michael M — Google review
The food was what you want and expect. Got the pimento burger all the way and it was big, juicy and well seasoned. My wife had the fried chicken and she loved it. Definitely would recommend only getting one meal with the “a plenty” fries and onion rings. One plate can feed an army. We’ll be back!
JD C — Google review
Always a great experience at Beacon Drive In. They provided chicken tenders for an event at our school the past couple years & very appreciative of the quality of the food and great customer service!
Josh C — Google review
Is it the best food? Nope, though the iced tea is awesome. Is it the friendliest service? Nope. Not honestly it's an icon. The founder helped so many people who were in a tough spot that you see people who were there in the 1990s when I was a teen and they are still there. Glad it's still a fixture in Spartanburg.

Gardens
The Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve is a tranquil public garden adorned with mature trees, conifers, butterflies, and a scenic walking trail. The park management has recently made significant improvements to the garden by adding new features and revamping its appearance. This has made it an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking to experience the beauty of wildlife in their natural habitat. Visitors can spot turtles, small fish and other fauna while taking a relaxing walk amongst the lush greenery of the gardens.
A serene park in the middle of the bustling surroundings. Walk the many pathways through the densely wood areas. From every location you can hear the sounds of the waterfalls and brook. There are many benches to sit and enjoy the experience. Informational signs provide great explanations about the trees, wildlife, plants and the environment. Work is continuing to enhance and expand the park.
StevePotts — Google review
This is a quaint little park that is quite lovely. It’s a great opportunity to walk through the little trails through nature and see a bunch of different flowers and plants. There’s a nice little waterfall and some water features. We stopped here as a stretch break from our long drive And the kids enjoyed the trails. Most of the trails are paved so you could bring a wheelchair if needed. Some trails are steep so if you have problems with steps or have to use a cane, you’ll just have to take your time or go on the less steep paths
Niki P — Google review
One of the best gardens we've been to. It was really done well with good walking paths and neat bridges and arbors scattered here and there. There were surprises sprinkled in like Myrtle the Turtle and the interesting tile work in certain areas. The children's garden was still a work in progress, but looked like it was going to be done well also.
Michael M — Google review
Pretty place but not very large. Well kept, clean and shaded. Not very crowded but I did go at the hottest time of the day in the summer. Lots of memorials & spots to sit.
Victoria — Google review
Very nice quiet, off to itself free walking trails! Beautiful flowers, great nature vibes in a city so that's cool, lot of wildlife activity; we saw lizards, squirrels, tiny baby frogs, lots of insects! There is alot of open waters like swamp like areas without barriers & if you're like me & have a energetic kid, it makes it a little uneasy so that's why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. I'm sure due to the hype & the scenic vibes it draws in a lot of parents & children for the outdoor thrills & free photo props so they should have added more barriers around the iffy parts.
Lacey S — Google review
Beautiful and sooo peaceful. We visit every time we're close to Boiling Springs. Really miss the koi fish pond that use to be here. Great place to picnic, walk or even meditate if you come early when there's no kiddos.

Absolutely breathtaking. I got away from the rat race of life. Breathe again, relax, sit quietly and listen to the babbling brooks, and stare up to the top of the 40' oak trees. I took my family there today. Play loved every moment of it. There is no admission and you may take your dog if they are on a leash.

FR8yard is a unique outdoor biergarten and social hub located in downtown Spartanburg, SC. The space is constructed from repurposed shipping containers and offers a vibrant atmosphere for enjoying food, drinks, and entertainment. The menu features a variety of street food favorites such as upscale hotdogs, chili, and chicken on a stick with delicious seasonings and sauces.
Very cool outside bar/restaurant with a ball game concession feel. Staff super friendly everything clean and well kept. The food is the same that you would find at a sports venue. Hotdogs, hamburgers, pretzels, etc.. parking was easy and they even have putt-putt golf in the back of the establishment. Patrons ages ranged from toddlers to older adult adults. Definitely family, friendly and a great place to go watch the game.

Very cool space. I liked the food and the vibe. Open air. Very casual. Band stage, jumbo TV for sports, picnic tables all in an open setting. Lots of good beer too. Fr8yard is on my shirt list of favorite places.

Love this place! one of our go-to hangout spots. Right in downtown, amazing burgers (my favorite in the entire town, wife agrees) and always have fun different bands and events. This summer we got to watch projector movies that were great for us and our young kids. food is great, beer is cold, atmosphere is a blast. Hands down should be on your list if your visiting or looking for a place to hangout with family or friends

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We are new to the area, and The Kennedy was recommended. Our server, Chelsea, is amazing, and made our evening memorable. The cocktails were perfect alongside the crafty food. Everything was so good, and we had a GREAT night. The Kennedy will be our regular spot for date nights going forward. Highly recommended!

You know when a meal just hits right -- this was the experience we had at The Kennedy today. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and comfortable -- it was just perfect. Erin, our server, was absolutely amazing. She really set the tone for a great meal and was super attentive- helping us with what we needed before we even had to ask. I had the Brussels sprouts and chicken Parmesan sandwich - both 10/10!! Thank you Erin and the rest of the awesome staff at The Kennedy!

We went for a special dinner and were not disappointed. Our server, Rachel, was great, very attentive, very very nice, and was a pleasure to have around. We had the Shrimp and Grits and the Pork Shank. Also had the fries with a sprinkle of parmesan and the sticky cake. We will go back and I highly recommend if you are in town to stop in.

Clean Delicious Friendly The Duck was cooked well. The star of the menu is the Crawfish & Gnocchi soup. Absolutely amazing. Locally sourced ingredients made for a variety of different colors on each plate. Crisp, fully ripe fruits and vegetables make this place a must for everyone who loves great food.

I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and I just have to shout out our server, Erin. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She struck the perfect balance—checking in just enough without ever feeling intrusive. Erin answered all our questions with confidence and made great recommendations, which we absolutely loved. She created such a welcoming atmosphere that really made our meal memorable. Great food is important, but service like Erin’s is what makes you want to come back. Thank you, Erin!

This family-owned and operated eatery has a bustling, vibrant atmosphere with a friendly vibe. The menu features an ever-changing selection of hearty, homemade dishes made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients.
Best restaurant I’ve ever been to! We are in town for the trapshoot in Bostic, NC and wanted to visit SC while we were down here. Looked up good restaurants and stumbled upon Wades. We are so glad we did. Mary P was a great waitress. She was very helpful and attentive, made great recommendations and provided top notch service. For the food, it really tasted like home cooking. Everything was fantastic and just pleasant. We are very glad we stopped and we hope to come back again!

First visit. Motorcyclists lunch ride. Everything was great. Only issue is waiting to get seated and waiting to pay to leave. Don't have solution. Just worth the time. Enjoy sharing your faith with others in line. Praise the Lord!

This family-friendly restaurant is touted to be the best Southern style food in the area. Being an out-of-towner family insisted we give it a try. We sampled several entrees and sides. The standouts; chicken salad, cole slaw, and potato salad. We also tried the fried chicken, beef stew, turkey with dressing, butter beans, greens, mac 'n cheese, sweet potato casserole. Cornbread and yeast rolls were served with the meal. Although, it will fill you up. It's not mama's cookin'. The seasonings seem to be lacking.

Wow! The food here is incredibly tasty! This is the best food I’ve eaten in Spartanburg County. Easy parking. Very clean restaurant. Pleasant service. Comfortable seating. Amazing food! Edit: September 29 visit. Hannah is an excellent server!!!!

Wonderful Fried Chicken! Mac and cheese is out of this world. The corn muffin on point. A delicious meal friendly service and it is Affordable.

Food is amazing. Prices are great. Been rating here for about 40 years now. The drawback eating here today was them wanting to close before closing time. Waitress kept mentioning they were closing soon. We arrived about 2:30 today. They close at 3 but I just think if we made it to the restaurant 30 minutes before close we shouldn’t constantly be told about closing. Waitress was rude. Acted like she had been working since 4 AM or something. Was rude to my 80 year old dad about him wanting some sweet potatoes to go. I mean the man might be gone tomorrow and she gotta talk to him like a dog because he wanted something to go. It’s a shame how they treat you now. When customers are a guarantee I guess you don’t have to earn the business anymore.
Kyle F — Google review
I’m from out of town I ask several people where could I get some real food from. They all told me go to wades if you want good southern home cook food. It was packed in there people standing around in takeout people standing outside waiting to get in. Well I went in spent $49.00 when I tell you nasty it was really nasty. The chicken was tough and no reason the Mac and chess didn’t have enough cheese in it the cornbread was nasty and the rolls didn’t have a taste the tea taste like dirty water. I never thought anyone could mess up rolls. I’m so disappointed and disgusted because I drove home four hours with food in my car from there so I didn’t have to cook when I got home and it was disgusting really nasty. I will never eat there again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. My son also said it was nasty. How can yall that live in Spartanburg say this food is good and it taste like home cooked food. The staff was very helpful and nice that is about the only thing I can say good about this restaurant. Yall need to learn how to season ur food and if you gonna cook string beans out of the can wash them off and put fresh water on them maybe add a few potatoes to it. Add extra cheese to your mac and cheese cook your chicken more so it’s not tough. Add a little sugar to ur cornbread, put some butter on your rolls. I need to come in there and show you how to really cook a southern meal. Sorry but not sorry it was just plain ole nasty. Add on to my review the only thing that was good was the pecan pie even the strawberry shortcake was nasty and I bought a pack of rolls from the freezer a waste of my six dollars because of those frozen rolls taste like the ones that came with my meal oh my God that’s nasty. I pray the owner sees this review and asked me to email him or give him a call cause I was very very disappointed.

Lime Leaf is an intimate and stylish Thai restaurant with a diverse menu of authentic dishes and a full bar. The restaurant is known for its delicate balance of flavors, offering popular dishes like Pad Thai and Crisp Thai Spring Rolls made with fresh vegetables and a variety of meats. Located on Morgan Plaza, Lime Leaf provides a cozy atmosphere for casual dining with friendly and attentive staff. Customers have praised the delicious food, including spring rolls, lettuce wraps, pineapple fried rice, and noodles.
Pretty good my daughter and I enjoyed our meals. I would like to go again to get a better feel for the place since we went at an odd time.

Very cozy with a wide range of seating. I wish they had a more readily available bar menu, because we didn’t even notice there was a bar until well into the meal. My dinner (Emerald Shrimp) was very well plated and decently prepared, though my broccoli was undercooked and quite plain. My partner’s meal (Pork Ginger Stir Fry) was “very flavorful except for the pork”. There are several gluten free dishes (though they do caution about cross contamination) and many vegetarian options. The service was wonderful, and the waiter even chased after one of our party when she left her phone! Overall, this is a good place to have a quiet evening with friends or a semi-casual date.

During my first visit to Lime Leaf, a Thai restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, I found it to be a nice spot for a casual meal. The service was great, with staff members who were friendly and attentive. I can't say that there was anything all that special about the food, but it was a satisfactory dining experience. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the place. Overall, Lime Leaf is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy a straightforward Thai meal in a pleasant setting.

I went out on a limb and took my parents here - no one was disappointed. This was some seriously great food! The only thing I would say is I would be liked my plate to be spicier, but different places have different scales so I can fix it next time. Most importantly, even if I found a Thai place that somehow had better food, I'd still go to Lime Leaf because of the amazing staff! They are very friendly and accomadating. Edit 2025: Lime Leaf is still amazing
Sean P — Google review
I was very disappointed. It wasn’t particularly busy when I was there with my friends, but the service was still very slow from beginning to end. The sushi, despite being more expensive than some other alternatives in Spartanburg, lacked flavor and the avocado was far from its best. I only knew it was offered because I looked on the website, and the server only offered me the sushi menu after I asked. The server also did not ask my table if we wanted drinks other than water, and did not bring soy sauce until asked. The restaurant was also overly warm. Lastly, my friend was charged $5 for extra vegetables that they did not order. Some of my friends were satisfied with their entrees, and the server himself was pleasant, but I cannot give any higher of a rating.
Ian M — Google review
The atmosphere is good for quality time with wife. The food was incredible. We had dumplings and spring rolls. Then we ordered Pineapple fried rice with chicken and it was amazing. It came in half Pineapple shell.

First off, I definitely give a five star to our service. Noah took care of us, and he was super attentive, and was really helpful with the menu. This was our first time at this restaurant. One thing we noticed when we sat down, it looks like there might be food splatters on the wall. We ordered appetizers, the fried spring rolls in the calamari. The calamari was probably one of the better calamari I have had an a while, it was cut very thin and was in larger circles, and the sweet chili sauce was really good. (I accidentally got a blurry photo of those) The entrées we felt like could have been better. My husband got the hibachi steak and chicken. He said the steak was tender, until you start chewing into it, it then felt grainy. I got the lobster and chicken. The lobster was extremely tough. I was hesitant to order it because it was a new restaurant for me, and I know that lobster is a difficult thing to prepare. It had a little bit of a bitter taste, which made me worried. Although I thought maybe it was just the seasonings they used. The cabbage was also bitter, kind of tasting like maybe it was from the centerpiece of the cabbage. We spent $74 for everything, and we just felt like for the price it definitely could have been better. We really enjoyed the dimmed lighting in the restaurant, that part was really calming. Everyone seemed pretty happy that was working there, and again we had great service.

Nestled in the heart of Spartanburg, The Peddler Steak House is a charming destination for those who appreciate fine dining. With its warm wooden decor and intimate corners, it creates a cozy atmosphere perfect for romantic dinners or special gatherings. Tonight my family had an exquisite dining experience here. Superb cuisine, top notch service, and a warm inviting atmosphere provides a five star experience. The total ambiance is outstanding in every way. I want to personally thank the entire staff for all of your hard work. As a former food critic in Boca Raton Florida, I would rate this as the best place for fine dining in our area. Congratulations on a job well done.

A lovely fine dining experience, with some uniqueness that I will remember. The menu is verbal, which is interesting! They cut the steaks in front of you, which also a nice touch. Our steak was very well cooked, even if the ribeye was a touch less tender than expected. We will absolutely be back — and you have to get the Mac & cheese!

Much different from the greenville peddler... it's alive and bright. Nonetheless, both are charming in their own ways. Alex was such a polite and kind server. He was very attentive and knew his menu very well. He made excellent suggestions. The food was wonderful. I love my cowboy ribeye. Perfectly cooked with the steak fries that were served hot!

Our experience was on 05/21/25 and we went around 5pm on a Wednesday to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary! From the moment we walked in the hostess greeted us with a smile. This was our first time at the spartanburg location and it was a better experience than Halls. Don't get me wrong Halls is great but they’re always so busy that it’s the normal hustle bustle of a busy restaurant. However peddlers was more intimate and the staff treated you like family. Our waiter was brandon and he was phenomenal, he made a wine recommendation as pictures below and it had to be the most delicious wine i’ve ever tasted! Notes of black cherry, raspberry and even some blackberry. He also made some really good recommendations for food! I had the cowboy ribeye which melted in your mouth and my husband has the house cut ribeye! we both had salads and brandon had recommended the dill salad sauce which was amazing! He did amazing at answering any questions we had and was so friendly. We will definitely be back for further occasions!

Ate here a few days ago. Unfortunately it was my first and last time. Nothing was explained on how things work here until I asked. It was over an hour in and had basically what looked like old salad. We were outside and guy that comes out with the meat still hadn’t come out. Ended up ordering something else on menu. The steak was burned and no seasoning, potatoes were blah. Felt bad for our waiter because we weren’t the only ones dissatisfied. Guy behind us had to send his steak back twice because it was undercooked…this is a steakhouse and can’t seem to cook steak properly.

Went to the peddler steakhouse on September 25 with local friends that had been wanting to try the steakhouse. First a young lady ask us I what we wanted to drink and if we wanted appetizers, then someone else brought us the water then we ordered the salad and someone else brought us a salad then personal person showed us the steak of the night, which was ribeye and showed us the size that it was gonna be cut, which we are great, but salad was good but what happened to the steak? I had never seen a ribeye flat then no salt no pepper not even the shape of a ribeye. We didn’t complain and it was Chuey. Also just ate what we could and pay our big bill. We were four of us. As a Texan, we know our cuts of meat, felt that the cook should be ashamed of himself for sending us that piece of meat

Rotten meat. We’ve been coming here for years for special occasions but will never be back. My steak was rotten and my husband’s steak was completely different than it usually is. They must of changed cooking methods. Price does not reflect quality. I can cook just as good at home for 1/4 of the price. Service was good but that was about all.

Delicious food and really cute decor. Just be aware- no menus! Everything is verbal so add ons/ up charges can add up! And don’t forget Spartanburg city tax is a whopping 9%! Food and service were spot on. We will be back for sure

Spill the Beans

Coffee shop
Ice cream shop
Spill the Beans is a popular spot located in downtown Spartanburg, offering a combination of smooth coffee and custom-blended ice cream. The modern interior provides ample seating and natural light, making it an ideal place to relax or work remotely. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the high-quality beans sourced from local roasters, resulting in expertly brewed pour-overs and decadent espresso drinks.
My husband and I filled out paperwork with a minister and quietly got married sitting at a table while enjoying affagatos. This place is wonderful and holds such positive memories for my husband and I. The coffee is amazing, the staff are kind and the seating area comfortable. We've been a few times since and will likely be stopping by on our anniversary, definitely worth stopping by and giving a chance to.

It was around 9:00 at night, and although the service was fine, our cups were just a little over half full. The rest of it was froth, and even the froth wasn’t to the top of the cup. It was such a big weight difference, we noticed it as soon as we picked up the cups. I just shrugged it off thinking surely they wouldn’t do that, but my husband stopped and was thinking the same thing even without me saying it first. We walked out sort of incredulous, but didn’t want to make a scene. But that’s dishonest and unacceptable. We didn’t pay for the smaller size, but I don’t even think it would have filled up their smallest cup. In the photos, this is before we even took one sip. We took these as soon as we got in the car and took the lids off, and you still can’t even see the top of the coffee in these pictures. Just the froth. Incompetency is one thing, but dishonesty is where we draw the line.

I don’t live in the area, but stopped here for a quick cup of coffee and something to eat after fasting for a medical test. Considering there were at least six people on staff and hardly any customers I should have known when I walked in not to expect too much. All they had to eat were three muffins. They were out of light roast and medium roast, and the dark roast was ice cold. I ate the muffin and threw the coffee out and then left and went to another coffee shop. Disappointing to say the least.

My daughters’s favorite ice cream shop in Spartanburg. We visit it about once a week. In our last visit, they ordered Matcha ice cream, raspberry and mango and brownie and raspberry, all vanilla. My husband’s favorite is coffee ice cream. The atmosphere is really nice.🍦🍨

Beautiful spot with great service and good coffee. The bathroom situation could use improvement, although it's shared with other businesses, so that might be tricky to fix.(note: a fellow reviewer stated that the toilets were also flooding 2 years ago, so change doesn't seem imminent) Also, be aware that the space sometimes attracts unhoused individuals, which can occasionally mean louder voices, people sleeping on furniture, or being approached. Not criticizing—just something to keep in mind, especially if you're visiting for a rare moment of quiet or quality time. I've been solicited 3-4 times the last 2 times I visited.

First time at the Spartanburg location but have gone to the Greenville location on multiple occasions. Have to say that the Greenville location is far preferable. This is entirely due to the staff. I understand giving teens and early 20s jobs, however it needs to be said to them that they really shouldn't be on their phones. Especially not where customers can see them. The entire group of girls were standing around on their phones, saw my group standing at the counter waiting for them, and then continued to be on their phones for a time longer before sending one girl to get our orders one at a time while the others stayed on their phones. Just comes off as a bit rude is all.

This was my first and last time coming to this place. I ordered a ice cream I paid the $4.53. I waited for about 20 mins only to be told we are out of the cone you ordered and here's a whiffle cone. I didn't get a chance to say I didn't want it or anything. The girl pushed it at me and walked a walk. I could've gone to McDonald's and got a better ice cream and service.

Sun King Chinese Restaurant is a sizable, straightforward dining option located in a shopping center. It offers a wide variety of food choices, including sushi and American dishes. While the writer didn't provide many details about their personal experience, they did mention that the buffet food was fresh and hot. The restaurant follows CDC guidelines to ensure safety during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With over two decades of operation, Sun King Chinese Restaurant has built a reputation for excellent food and service.
Friendly attractive and ample staff. This place looks fancy but 100% reasonably priced small buffet but super fresh high quality food. An Allstar line up of the favorites! The wings are done right too which is rare for an Asian buffet.

This place made my family feel neglected I did have a big crowd as already being black we were ask to pay before we sat an I ve ate there before with my job an payed after . Also know we arrived a lil later but we had a hour an after my step kids mother I law al the One it was shrimp after the second and third time going to get the shrimp they started covering up and taking it and putting shrimp on the plate they sell. I thought it was a buffet 200 something dollars later. I don’t recommend this place what so ever !!!

We were leaving, left a tip on the table, got to the register to pay & The OWNER asked if we were leaving a tip on the card, and as we were trying to say NO WE LEFT IT ON THE TABLE, he got so defensive and rude & started saying how his employees he only pays $3 an hour & people have to tip. And trying to start an argument without even letting us finish. This place is so unprofessional & the owner has absolutely no business trying to force customers into tipping. Absolutely will not be back.

Buffet. Decent selection (except for green salad options which mostly offered stuff that doesn't go on a green salad) but to my taste the flavors were bland. And everything overcooked. I might try it out again but not from the buffet for sure.

Willy Taco Hub City is a vibrant and lively Mexican restaurant located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The original Willy Taco offers a hip and upbeat cantina atmosphere with Day-of-the-Dead decor, creating a fun and colorful dining experience.
Well seasoned food, usually taco spots are bland and colorless, but this place adds contrast and saturated to the food. Great waiter, and atmosphere ( Dog friendly) fast service, small but still spacious. PATAGONIA STEAK TACO / KOREAN BBQ / FRIES-SPICY RANCH

I took my kids here and we split brisket nachos for appetizer. I ordered a shrimp taco and a mahi taco. The shrimp taco was absolutely delicious and I would definitely order that again. The mahi taco was a bit dry and I probably would not do that again for that reason. The brisket nachos were good as well. I do wish there was a little bit more brisket, but overall it was good. My kids ordered Nashville Hot, bacon cheeseburger, Patagonia steak, mother clucker with the fries on the side. Both kids finished all their tacos and said they'd order them again. The fries were good too, but I think they were too full to finish. Wed probably skip the fries next time. I wish I could give 3.5 stars for service. Not terrible, but she wasn't quite as attentive from the get go. A table that was seated after us was served first, and we sat waiting after we finished the appetizer before she came to take our taco order. The tables are tight and I was slightly uncomfortable in my seat because the person behind me sat so far away from their table. Lighting was also off - I essentially ate dinner in my own shadow. The weather was nice but we weren't given the option to sit outside even though there were available tables. All said and done, I'd go back but specifically request to sit outside.

i dont like to leave reviews but this is the first time in 10 years of pretty regular visits that i havent enjoyed a meal from willy taco so i feel like i should. :( first i want to say our server maddie was absolutely lovely!! she gave us great service and was super sweet the whole time. i got a mother clucker and some birria tacos, the new grilled chicken in the mother clucker is terrible. they stopped putting the pulled chicken in all of the tacos and replaced it with this rubbery grilled chicken, the texture reminds me of chicken from a really cheap buffet. it also tasted completely different from how the pulled chicken did, but they’re labeling it with the same “chipotle” seasoning. the birria was really bad. it was VERY sweet, to the point i think there may have been sugar in the consommé? im not sure but it wasn’t appetizing. it was also very dry, and i know you’re meant to dip them, but i’ve never had birria that was bone dry without the consommé. if you’re interested in birria id suggest going to a local authentic mexican place instead!! i have had much better for much cheaper elsewhere. my partner got the chicken chimichanga which is his favorite dish from WT, and while they left the pulled chicken in, he said it tasted completely different and it wasn’t very good. we asked our waitress what had changed and she said that they no longer use seasoned rice and now it’s plain white basmati rice. this is a strange choice as it got rid of a lot of flavor :/ neither of us finished our food and we didn’t bother with the leftovers. the salsa and queso were good at least! im not sure if they’re trying to save money by using lower quality ingredients and raising prices or if they actually think these changes are good, but keep that in mind if you haven’t been recently. ive been going every few months for a long time, but that might change for me. its disheartening to see, especially considering all of their new business ventures. :(

Barnet Park, situated in the heart of Spartanburg, South Carolina, is a seven-acre urban park offering a peaceful escape from city life. Named after Dr. Barnet, the city's first mayor, this picturesque park features an amphitheater hosting live music concerts and various events throughout the year. The well-landscaped park provides amenities such as play fountains, walking trails, picnic pavilions, and even a fishing pier with a trout pond.
Beautiful place for a picnic, take a nap in the sun, or just hang out with family or friends. They host events throughout the year. You can sit and listen to the trains as well as watch the squirrels. The amphitheater is right there

I had a wonderful time in the park during the 4th of July Red, White, and Boom celebration. The weather was a bit warm ok hot. But as the evening comes in, the wind blows cool breeze into the night. The orchestra band played and had a group sign in the fireworks 🎆.

This place opened early for my staff to host a Team building event and let me tell you that they hit the bulls eye with their customer service. They do allow you to bring in food so we had a catered meal from Moe’s Original BBQ , another local hit. There was plenty of room to spread out and really enjoy yourself. I forgot the young ladies name that opened for us ( you know who you are ) but she was so polite and very helpful. Even helped a few that had never thrown an AX before. It was just OK. As someone that considers themselves a sandwich expect, this fell way short. Pros: the pickles and homemade ranch were top notch. The blue cheese pimento cheese and lemonade were very good as well. Cons: the sandwich was very puny and looked as though it was for a 3rd grader. Very little pimento cheese and a couple of slices of roast beef. I specifically asked for it not to be toasted or heated (because I was going to eat it later). The box felt hot when they handed it to me because it was toasted. For a $10+ sandwich, you expect a decent amount of meat and this was just underwhelming. I spent $17 (including a tip) and it was definitely not worth it. I will go back to try another sandwich or salad, because I believe in trying restaurants more than once to give them a shot. They had a lot of frozen soups and meals that looked good, so perhaps I’ll give them a try too.

As the city's oldest craft brewery, established in 1997, it has become a cornerstone of the local scene, offering over 18 unique microbrews crafted in their solar-powered facility.
We came a bit early and there were very few crowds, by 8pm it was definitely turning up. Had the pretzel bites and the loaded eggroll both were very good. Drinks were good but pour(strength) varied upon which bartender was making the drink. Atmosphere was clean and relaxed.

Got their Philly cheese steak with fries. Meat, veggies, and bread were on point. The cheese tasted weird..I would probably get it again but without cheese or maybe sub the cheese for a different kind. It tasted like beer cheese? Or cheese you dip pretzels in. Fries were super good and the staff were incredibly friendly!

Really enjoy this brewery. The wheat/peach based Son of a Peach is amazing. It used to be available around Norris Lake in Tennessee but it is no longer distributed to this part of the country so I made a run from Cincinnati exclusively for picking up several cases. Well worthy the effort Also enjoyed the fish and chips which were perfect and brought out extremely fast. Great staff, great facility. Highly recommended.

I have been twice recently and have not been disappointed by the food or beers! I’ve had the fried Phunky Chicken Sandwich and the Buff Puppies. The chicken was much larger than the bun which provided a few challenges but I would go back any time just for the Buff Puppies. The smash burgers are pretty tasty as well! It can be a little loud at times, but doesn’t make it impossible to talk and have a great time. I will definitely be going back.

Had high expectations after the hype. Food is overpriced bar food. Meatloaf was awful, fish was VERY greasy, pork chop is okay but not for $22. Server was on point, live music is good. Outdoor seating is very rundown, tabletop are very rough, seats are uncomfortable. We were disappointed. Alot of hype for nothing special. And the step near the front door is a definite liability.

Realy nice place, with a great assortment of beers and other drinks. The service was great, fast and precise; for somente who doesnt like to wait, it was heaven. The main room is nicely decorated, and the outside tables would be great to stay if the weather wasn't prone to rain. I asked for the restaurant week menu, going with the bbq eggrols, the whiskey ribeye, and the peanut butter pie; the food as really good, the bbq sauce for the eggrols was amazing, and the meat precisely medium rare. For the drinks, a whole selection with various types of tapped beer.

Love this place. Have never had any issues until tonight. They have an urban orchard cider that is amazing on the menu but the last three time I have been there it has not been available. Also ordered a taco salad to go with ranch on the side. I got home and I did not have ranch, sour cream or salsa. Since I live 30 minutes away this was disappointing. I tried to call multiple times to see if they could rectify this on my next visit but it seems they have taken the phone off the hook. I’m usually not the person to complain but this was frustrating.

Steak house
Perched atop the 10th floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Spartanburg, Level 10 offers a stylish and upscale dining experience with scenic city views. The restaurant features elevated global fare crafted by head chef David Phillips, known for his refined fall dishes such as sweet tea-braised roasted chicken, zaatar scallops, and mushroom-stuffed ravioli. This modern south cuisine with an international flair has attracted talented chefs to the area as Spartanburg continues to grow.
Level 10 is one of the few high-end, fine dining restaurants in Spartanburg. This was our first visit, and the restaurant did not disappoint. Our server, Amy, was excellent - knowledgeable, personable, and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is tastefully decorated with simple elegance and the best views in the city. After our experience, I consider Level 10 an optimal place to celebrate any special event, and the restaurant takes special care to recognize the special time for the patrons. The menu has options for all tastes, and our selections were well prepared and seasoned - the key is that the steaks were cooked exactly to order. The level of service and attention offered by the staff is refreshingly consistent and the attention given to the diners is palpable. We look forward to our next visit. Well worth the experience.

Great flavorful food! Prices you’d expect. I’d recommend coming here if you want to stick to Spartanburg. Only reason I gave it a 4 star is because I’d recommend other places in Greenville.

Stopped in to place a to go order for my wife and I. Host sat me nicely at the bar, and bartender served me a beverage instantly. Spoke with another server who took my order. Mentioned my wife and I having a new baby, and our current stay at the hospital being prolonged. They went above and beyond to cater to my situation while providing 5 star food. We ordered the three part meal. Everything was spot on, still hot and fresh when I arrived back to the hospital with our meal. What an amazing place. They care for details, and have a great personality to top it. The rooftop view is amazing and gives a quality view of the city. I would recommend them any day. Best restraunt in Spartanburg. Thank you again for a great experience.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Level 10! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and elegance. The ambiance and view was perfect for a romantic evening. The staff was incredibly attentive, catering to our every need without being intrusive. The food was divine, each dish a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly. Overall, it was a flawless evening thanks to the impeccable service and exquisite cuisine. We'll definitely be returning for more memorable date nights!

My partner and I had a 7 PM reservation on September 13 to celebrate our anniversary. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess and a gentleman who initially came to our table, and we noticed every server around us engaging with their guests, asking about special occasions, and creating a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, our experience changed once our server, Deanna T., took over our table. She never asked if we were celebrating anything and was very short when we asked for menu suggestions. After our food arrived, I had an issue with my steak, but I never got the chance to address it because our server did not return to check on us. We were not offered drink refills or additional orders, though we saw her giving attentive service to other tables. Eventually, we decided to take our food to go. When I went to get her attention, I noticed her at the bar digging in her teeth, which raised immediate concerns for me from a health standpoint. We ended up getting assistance from another young man dressed in black who kindly helped us pack up our food. Only at that moment did our server reappear — not to check on us or address our experience — but simply to ask if we wanted a drink to go. This was extremely disappointing on what was supposed to be a special evening. The service we received felt dismissive and unprofessional, which left us with a very negative impression. Let’s face it the server makes the experience. We had heard such wonderful things about this restaurant, but unfortunately this was our first and last visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no guest should leave feeling the way we did.

Rick Erwin’s Level 10 is an absolute gem in Spartanburg! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was second to none. Our server, Gracen, made the entire experience unforgettable. She was friendly, outgoing, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. Gracen went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—her energy and genuine care made us feel right at home. The food and drinks were outstanding, but the service truly set the evening apart. If you’re looking for a top-notch dining experience in Spartanburg, I can’t recommend Level 10 enough—and be sure to ask for Gracen, she’s amazing!

I turned 37 years old one 9/24/25 and this is my first time giving a negative review in my lifetime. Typically, if I have a bad experience I will simply never go back to that place. I only get on here to give positive reviews but this is just different. My birthday experience here was atrocious and I am embarrassed for RICK IRWIN. It started this our drink orders which they just could not seem to get right but hey... we looked past that. It was than followed up with the wrong salad, but again, we also looked past that. The waitress could not answer one SINGLE QUESTION on the entire menu and said she was just hired but again, we looked past that. However, it was then capped off by the entre which was steak that was so raw it was REFRIDGERATOR COLD on the inside and completely rare and just an FYI it was ordered MEDIUM RARE. There was actually no manager that night so a gentleman who works the bar Colin (Very Nice guy) stepped in because they had no one else. He did his best to correct the situation and I can appreciate that but it does not change the fact it was that all it was a worst dinning experience I have every had in my entire lifetime. None of our meals were good except for the bread, the wine and oh, the view was nice. The mash potatoes were lumpy and cold, the salmon was dry, one of the orders was wrong and the biggest issue was a RAW REFRIDGERATOR COLD STEAK. Never experienced anything like this and yes, I shared my experience with every single person at my job today who asked about my birthday. I will never go back to any Rick Irwin steak house in any location and still in shock over the whole experience, what a disappointment.

Absolutely enjoy my experience at level 10 always. The service is always great. The bartenders are all amazing. Irina always takes care of me when I come up and so does the manager Kieth. Papa's Breakfast Nook is a popular college-town eatery that serves classic American diner food around the clock. Established in 1988 by Papa Sam Rhodes, this beloved Spartanburg restaurant offers a variety of hearty dishes such as omelettes, pancakes, burgers, and salads. It has gained a reputation for being a favorite 24-hour spot among locals and visitors alike. Recently, it made its way onto the renowned Spartanburger Trail.
The reviews do not do this establishment justice! The food was immaculate! The place was clean as can be, and the staff were very nice! I visited at 5 AM, and it took a few minutes, but this is a great place to eat! 10/10!

We use to come here all the time, but since we moved to Lyman, this is the first time in 20 years. Usually we always got breakfast, and it was always great. We are doing the Spartanburger Trail, and Papas is on the list. We all got their Big burger all the way, It was amazing, I would have liked it better personally if it was on a bun instead of Texas toast. The onion rings were great, and the fries were also.

I liked this place a lot! They're open 24 hours (most of the time) , good comfort food, & a really fun relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy when you are more like friends/ people, rather than just customers. Some people don't, so if you can't be understanding of the stressful diner atmosphere this isn't the place for you, cuz some of the workers were overwhelmed & multitasking. But they were fun and kind and I enjoyed meeting the employees. It's nice to be talked to like a person & not a rehearsed can I take your order. It was fun to be there & I definitely ate my fill!!

I have always heard great things about this place and finally tried it. The food was good. Service was great! The prices are good for the quantity and quality. We got two omelettes, grits and pancakes. Only comment I have is I wish they had better ventilation because it felt like we were breathing the fumes off the stove top. We had a great time though!

It could have been a rough day for the staff when I was there but Papa's was a classic diner without the diner speed. The food took an hour to come out, were out of silverware and my omelette was really just eggs on top of vegetables. I would be willing to give it a second try because the place was packed and the servers were doing their best. I wish they would have stopped taking to go orders with how packed it was inside

24/7 Breakfast establishment in downtown Spartanburg. CASH ONLY or use the ATM machine they have for a surcharge. Unfortunately, the food (Belgium waffles and eggs) had no flavor and they overused the margarine on everything. I will say this the staff are very friendly and prices are very reasonable.

Just not well executed at all. Menu said Spartanburg’s #1 burger so I went for it. Failed miserably. If it was close I’d understand. Took forever to get order. Country ham was tuff and had salt added to it. Salad was just a mess. While waiting for or order they shouted they had to stop taking orders because the cooks weren’t able to perform their job. I ordered French toast for dessert and it was good and refreshing. It was the only redeeming thing about this visit. * this was at 1am on Saturday

My beautiful friend had the Florentine Omelette with homefries, serving was so big, she's taking the rest home for later. I had the Papa's Old fashioned Buttermilk 🥞 drenched with Syrup and whipped margarine. Ordered (2) Biscuits with eggs and cheese to go.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Big Air Trampoline Park. Not quite as popular as Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

I had a fantastic time at Big Air Trampoline Park last Sunday night, January 30th. I called the day before to inform Michael about our planned gathering. When we arrived, the place was incredibly crowded. Big Air has always provided an enjoyable experience for me and my family. The staff, especially Dawson at admission, is always friendly and welcoming when we enter. I also had pleasant conversations with employees Michael and Jackson, who were great with the kids.
We've been coming to Big Air for years, and always have a great time. However, this summer they have revamped many of the attractions, and my kids love them! The employees are very attentive, and are present at nearly every attraction. There are also employees walking around monitoring the safety of the facility! My son even started crying when he bumped his chin, he was fine, but one of the employees stopped to check on him which was so sweet and thoughtful! I didn't think our experience could get much better, but it definitely has!! Great place with great fun, and great people!

This place is crazy to me. Kids running around no one watching them. Nobody watches the doors for kids to be dragged out by strangers. Don't get me started on how expensive it is for a bottle of water. Take cash because they charge you for using a card.

I had such a fun time at this big air. I would just like to point out one of the workers there. Denise she was such grate help and very sweet. I knew I could go to her for help because she answered with such manners and she knew what she was talking about! This girl does her job very good! She payed attention at what she was doing and was taking her job seriously. We need more people like her to work at places like this! Thank you Denise!

Fun place to take your kids & friends. It’s going to be busy when outdoor events/activities aren’t a good option. So, plan ahead & check their website/social media, you’ll be happy & your kids will get a good workout.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Abby for providing the absolute best customer experience. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. What truly stood out to me was how she interacted with my child and her friends while they were on the trampolines. She was friendly, engaging, and clearly great with kids—she made them laugh, encouraged them, and kept the energy positive and fun the entire time. It’s not every day you see someone take such genuine interest in making sure young guests are having a great time. Her presence made the whole experience even more memorable for the kids, and as a parent, I really appreciated that. Thank you, Abby, for your kindness and enthusiasm—you made our visit truly special!

Heirloom - A Milltown Eatery is a charming restaurant located on the west side of Spartanburg, housed in the historic former headquarters of Spartan Mills. The eatery offers two distinct dining areas – one with shaded seating and ceiling fans, and another open-air space featuring comfortable cushioned seats around a modern fire pit. The menu showcases traditional Southern cuisine crafted with local ingredients and contemporary culinary techniques, proudly sourced from Spartanburg County farmers.
First time but I'll definitely be returning. Food was amazing. We had the special which was Grouper with the shrimp and grits setup. Absolutely delicious! Our server Vivian was extremely attentive, she was very knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Atmosphere had a an outstanding ambiance. I can't wait to return! Thank you for such an awesome evening as we celebrated a birthday!

We went to this restaurant and really liked the atmosphere and the good service. My husband ordered a burger, as always (lol), and our child got something from the kids’ menu — they both liked their meals. My dish was just okay: the potatoes and sauce were good, but the meat was overcooked and tough. I also ordered a cocktail that was served in a glass from Goodwill, which I’m totally fine with, but the glass still had glue from the price sticker on it, which wasn’t very pleasant. The cocktail was also way too strong. Overall, it was okay despite these little things, and I’d come back to try other dishes and cocktails.

Really enjoyable experience all around! Terrific food, great service and a cool atmosphere. We ordered a drink, a meal, and dessert — and every bit was tremendous!

First shout out goes to the servers. Attentive, Informative and friendly. I felt right at home. Our waitress was excellent. While all the food was very good, my favorite was the salmon dip. I had the chef's special pork chop, pureed beans with okra and tomatoes. Loved the use of the wine bottles and liquor bottles to serve the chilled water.

Absolutely one of the best places to dine in Spartanburg, it is true hidden gem!! They get most of their meats from local farms, that is always a delicious choice. I have tried just about everything on the menu but I love to try the “specialty meals” they are also wonderful!! The desserts are hard to resist with so many different flavors!! I highly recommend to give them a try! If the food is enough the staff is amazing and so friendly we always feel like we are at home!!

Really a lot of positive things about this place. Great choices on the menu. Food was really quite good. Enjoyed the cocktails as well. Service was excellent. One of the best things about the service was that we were not given the bill until we asked for it. And we were there a LONG time. We opened and closed with them that night. lol Very cozy atmosphere.
Talon W — Google review
Just four stars for the food for me. The service, atmosphere, and seating is five stars for sure. This is a beautiful place that is both upscale and casual. It is a bit pricey so I expected to be blown away by the food. The plate presentation was nice but the food lacked flavor, in my American-Portuguese, flavor-seeking opinion. The Oysters Rockefeller was over powered by the scoop of spinach on top. I felt sorry for the poor oyster. I really couldn't taste anything but spinach. I got the pork chop and swapped the menu sides for mashed potatoes, zucchini and squash. Again, it was good, but nothing real special about it. My son got the Salmon as described on the menu. It was very good and cooked well. It comes with some kale on the plate and peaches. I wasn't impressed and felt like my son was still hungry, especially since he opted for dessert. We shared the bread pudding with pineapple ice cream. I don't know what that was, my son thought it was French toast. It was edible, nothing special. All in all, a nice place with great staff and a comfortable dining experience but not worth the money my son spent for a mother's day meal. To end on a not positive note, the cocktails were done well.

Tried Heirloom for a date night out in Spartanburg. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. The food was decent, but we had to send a dish back, which we felt was not handled correctly by staff. This is a higher end eatery, and we expected better for the price. Overall, the cocktails were good, and the service was as expected. **The Heirloom GM contacted us and was amazing. This was a very isolated incident and was more than made up for by James. Would definitely return.

Airport Park

Park
Airport Park in Spartanburg is a serene recreational haven located near the downtown airport. The park features lush green spaces, well-maintained walking trails, and two playgrounds for children to enjoy. Visitors can also cool off in the waterpark area or observe small planes landing and taking off from the nearby airport. Additionally, there are picnic tables with shade, a soccer field, and an area for working out.
Great for the kids. Soft rubber matting all over. Wonderful views of the planes taking off.
Mark S — Google review
We love this park! So much open space for bike riding, soccer, race games and even tag! There’s two playgrounds geared for appropriate ages. Watching and listening to the helicopters and airplanes take off is also really cool! My only complaint is that the bathrooms never seem to be open. There is a Port-A-Potty but if the park is crowded and several have to use the facilities, it’s not the best situation.
Jordan S — Google review
So glad I found this playground! It was perfect for my 15 month old daughter, especially on a cloudy day with no other visitors! There is indeed a little kid playground (see photos) in addition to the main playground and splash pad. My 15m old was able to get onto the playground herself, and many of the features were great for her size/age. There is also a nice walking path and restrooms with water fountains. Will definitely return! I do not see lights but I’m sure the park closes at sunset anyway. It isn’t in the nicest area and there is no nearby security (or much of anything happening nearby) so I made sure to be vigilant, though the playground is separated from the road with a fence.
Abbie K — Google review
A very nice park, very clean, maintained nicely. You can walk while your children play in one of the two playgrounds. The park also has a waterpark area to cool off. The airport is right next to the park, which is pretty cool. You are able to see the small planes. There is also a small area to work out, picnic tables with shade, and a soccer field. The parking lot is a good size. ****NOT a Shaded Park!! FULL SUN!!**** HIGHLY RECOMMEND to bring the kiddos.
Laura C — Google review
Love this place for my family. Has a variety of options from a larger play structure for older kids, and then a smaller part for younger kids, as well as a spray park for those hot summer days! Walking paths, open fields and of course, getting to watch airplanes land and take off!
Ana W — Google review
Would have been 5 stars if there had been better views of the airport. All said, this is a nice park. It's one of the nicest splash pads seen so far at local parks. There are nice play sets and tower to play and climb on.

Nestled in Spartanburg, CityRange Steakhouse Grill offers a delightful dining experience that combines rustic charm with modern elegance. This lodge-style steakhouse is renowned for its elevated American comfort food, featuring an impressive selection of steaks and grilled items complemented by a full bar and an extensive wine list. The inviting atmosphere, characterized by high ceilings and a contemporary country aesthetic, makes it an ideal venue for romantic dinners or lively gatherings with friends.
Looked for a place for our anniversary dinner. I had prime rib. If you have the baked potatoe ask for extra butter and sour cream. My wife had the ribeye. If you want medium ask for medium rare here. Meals were delicious. Service was very good. Ask for Jade. We prefer non chain restaurants but we try one occasionally.

The food was good, but not great as it once was. The first bread loaf was crispy, like it’d been reheated too long, with the inside a little dried out. The second better, still a little crisp on the outside, but the inside was nice, soft, & warm as it should be! Other than an obnoxious diner nearby subjecting the rest of us to her speakerphone conversation part way through our meal, the atmosphere is nice, but not upscale. It’s good with decent portions for the price.

I am gonna be completely honest like always. I have been trying to diet and cut back for myself. Talking with a dietician to learn the correct way to eat healthier. I sat down and was disappointed in the menu. It looks like a lot but wasn't to me. I am allergic to fish and boo is allergic to nothing. A lot of the healthier items are fish/seafood. They had some chicken nope so I went with what our waitress Kayelee suggested. It was fantastic all of it. I love the bread even had a piece or three. 😁 I will say compliments to the Chef that was the best medallions and salad I had in a long time. We went out earlier in the week to another restaurant. Had the same meal basically and it was horrible. I found it so juicy and cooked to perfection 👌. We will be back for sure boo loved his plate also. The only opinion I have please add more dietary plates to your menu. That will give us people who are trying healthier options. If you stop in ask for Kayelee she is a country delight.

Superb. First class treatment from beginning to end. My meal was excellent and worth double what I paid for it. Lauren my waitress provided excellent conversation and really represented the restaurant with class (she was even prettier than the food I don't know how she does it) I think every dollar that is spent here is a dollar well spent. The servers were thoughtful. The food was questionable. Not anything wrong in terms of the order. Just. Not good. Tough steak. Little flavor it did have came from the cream sauce. Tuna wontons were fine. TBH it looks delicious—it’s a good thing your eyes don’t have tastebuds.

French restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Mon Amie Morning Cafe is a charming daytime spot that captures the essence of a Parisian street-side cafe with its al fresco seating and classic black and white flooring. Open from 8 am to 3 pm Wednesday through Saturday, this cafe is a favorite among locals for its delectable breakfast and brunch offerings. The menu features an array of crepes, pancakes, French toast, egg dishes, salads, sandwiches, and more.
When I went into this quaint restaurant I felt like I was in a charming Parisian cafe. I was able to view fresh crepes being made right at the bar. The menu offers delicious options like fluffy French toast, delectable crepes, warm beignets, savory quiche, and even shrimp and grits for a Southern twist. And of I course enjoyed brunch with a perfectly brewed cup of coffee and a refreshing mimosa. Also there are patio seating options available that continue the flow of the ambience of a French cafe. This place is quite popular, so if you're planning an early morning visit, especially on the weekends, be prepared for a bit of a wait. I say it's absolutely worth it! My picture is of a heart shaped fried green tomato that we shared as an appetizer. So cute and delicious!

Great southern style French breakfast. Full of flavor. No complaints whatsoever. Very pleased with the service and the food. Decor is s bit rough but not terrible. I really like this place. Try the ribeye crepe. Best ever.

The food is so good, it also got there VERY fast! my waiter was very attentive and sweet!! I wish i knew her name to mention her, they also gave us the best seats in the bar so we can watch the crepes

The food was so great. They place was packed but there was only a very short wait. There were little signs inside that pretty much very politely said to get out when you are done eating your food, which I very much appreciate because I am an American and lingering at the table is a French thing to do...speaking of that...this place needs a serious rebrand. It has the absolute weirdest 90's tacky fake French vibe. I'm really not trying to be mean, it's so ugly in there. I really hate to say it because the food is so good 😭 We will be back for sure because the food is what's the most important.

My wife and I went there today for the first time for breakfast, and everything was great! Food, service, and atmosphere. Definitely recommend this restaurant! 👌
Gaudencio G — Google review
This spot definitely piqued my interest—the menu sounded fun and the photos had my stomach rumbling. We arrived around 9 a.m. to find a line already forming outside, always a promising sign. Luckily, we only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The place is on the smaller side, but it has a cozy, welcoming vibe. I went with the Crêpe-o-icious—a cute name with decent flavor, but it didn’t quite wow me. I also ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream, and sadly, that was a letdown. It lacked the creamy richness I was hoping for and leaned more watery and bitter than indulgent. My husband ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich, which he found just okay—not bad, not great. It came with fries dusted in powdered sugar, which he wasn’t a fan of, but I actually thought they were surprisingly good—a quirky twist that kind of worked. On the bright side, the service was solid, and our food came out quickly. All in all, it was a fun experience, but not quite the standout we’d hoped for. Still, worth a visit if you're in the area and curious to try something different.

We had a great time at Mon Amie Morning Cafe. The food was delicious and service was really quick. Highly recommend the French toast and the cinnamon apples! Looking forward to our next visit. C'est magnifique!

Mmmmmmm!!! Was delicious 😋 I am a night owl and rarely up early enough for breakfast, so when I am up I want something worthy of the occasion lol. Mon Amie did impress. Banana foster pancakes for me, some kind of eggs Benedict with bacon and tomato, with grits for my mom.

Family restaurant
Charlene's Home Cooking is a cozy spot that specializes in comfort food, offering soulful dishes like barbecue ribs and homemade almond pound cake. Run by owners Charlene and Mike Davis, the restaurant prides itself on serving down-home cooking with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Despite its small size, the place bustles with patrons who appreciate the delicious food and good service.
Incredible home cooked food. We stopped by on our way to Spartanburg and had some awesome Meat and two plates, they also offer meet and three. Don’t let the initial outside appearance keep you from going in to some incredible food. Service was also great and they made us feel at home. We will be back if we’re ever in the area to get more of those delicious pork chops, fried chicken & homemade mac and cheese.

The food was really good and the staff/owners are super nice and friendly. The place is small but full of kindness and laughs from the staff. It was a little pricey but the food is good. The Fried Ribs were off the chain and their Hushpuppies were really good.
David B — Google review
This was our first time here. We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door. The food was amazing. We had the fried chicken dinner and the pork chops. The portions were plentiful. The owner, Charlene took our order and brought us our food. She even gave us a sample of fried ribs because we had never tried them before. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely stop back here if in this area again. If you want true southern food, then stop in and try this place.

Lovely family run place, awesome fried chicken! Will come back next time for sure!
Fabian G — Google review
Last week, I visited your establishment and, unfortunately, was not entirely satisfied with the meal. I spent $125.00 on food that I felt was overpriced and lacked flavor, leaving me disappointed. I would like to suggest that you consider reducing your prices. I ordered the chitterlings plate, which is the most expensive item on the menu, but it lacked flavor and the potato salad was bland. While I regret my choice, I do not believe I will be returning. Although I typically support Black-owned businesses, I am unable to continue supporting this one.

Nature & Parks
Cleveland Park is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Spartanburg, South Carolina, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation for visitors of all ages. This picturesque lakeside park features an inviting promenade along the water, ideal for leisurely strolls or fishing adventures. Families will find plenty to enjoy with playgrounds, picnic spots, and scenic walking trails that encourage exploration and outdoor fun.
This park is beautiful and a thoughtfully designed space that offers a perfect blend of recreation, relaxation, and natural beauty. The park has a large duck pond, and impressive magnolia trees that add a touch of Southern charm. There are trails leading visitors past charming features like a picturesque bridge leading to a gazebo on a small island. There are towering shade trees that line the paved walking paths, offering cool relief from the sun and enhancing the tranquil walking experience. This all comes together creating countless spots for reflection or photography. For those who enjoy staying active, there is outdoor fitness equipment placed thoughtfully along the trail. A major highlight for the park is The Great Adventure playground, a well-maintained and spacious area with rubberized flooring for safety. Kids can enjoy a wide range of playground equipment, including a large climbing wall that keeps them active and engaged.
Lindley — Google review
huge and absolutely beautiful! There’s plenty of space to explore and the playground is awesome for little ones... lots to climb, slide, and play on. The only downside is the lack of shade around the play area, which made most of the equipment way too hot to touch during the day. Still a great spot, just best enjoyed early in the morning or later in the evening when it cools down!

Been here several times! Love it! Even had a wedding at this venue! June 2025 And a grill out event at one of the shelters. Great staff: very helpful. Lovely park shaded ...gazebo...bridge...swings..trail .playground (closes at 8:30) I believe.
Talitha C — Google review
Probably the best park for children/adults in the area. My baby doesn’t like the other ones we have explored as much as this one ! They have a big kid and toddler section ( swings Included) so that’s cool. They have 2 vending machines for drinks( not sure if they work) there as well as restrooms. Bring your own drinks (cold water or water with ice ) in some kind of insulated cup to keep cool if necessary because you will need them it gets hot cause the material for the ground instead of using mulch at the playground definitely absorbs heat. They do have a sideline sit down fanned area. I suggest misting fans lol but yea a nice big body of water where lots of ducks are. No fishing allowed but I’ve seen some break the rules. You can rent out the gazebo since when we went , going over the bridge was blocked off due to a wedding which I think was crazy to have in this heat! They also have some event centers in the park so another cool thing for people looking to have an event. They have walking trails that go to a baseball field that is actually called “berry field” we were disappointed that it wasn’t a field of berries… they have a little creek next to the playground not like a swimming in creek but a splash your feet in creek with rocks They also have a big rock fountain. It just has water coming off of it all around in a nice shaded circle so you can sit or I saw one person lay to cool off. However I minused a star due to the odor of marijuana in the parking lot. A cop was there parked so I guess they were made aware. If you are going to smoke please be considerate of children & do that before getting to the park. Thx.
Psychemelic — Google review
What a lovely park! We came on Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of parking. Even though there was a lot of people at the park. Beautiful walkways. Nice lake with geese and ducks swimming in it. Although beware of duck poop. Our vehicle got bombarded with geese feces.
Google U — Google review
Beautiful park and awesome playground! Swings, slides, musical instruments and a space for littles. Whole playground is fenced in for safety. Great nearby pavilion in the shade with picnic tables & fans and restrooms. We stopped to have lunch on a long drive. Glad we did!
Alyssa A — Google review
Awesome park! Definitely visit if you haven't. There's something for everyone no matter what age. You'll find baby & toddler play area, bigger kid play area, even has a tire swing, & rock climbing wall, pond, walking trails, covered sitting areas, geese & ducks, baseball field. Also have areas for rent not sure of price or if any for birthdays, etc. The only down side is the actual playground is directly in the sun & it gets hot! Bring plenty of water.

A great park with a nice walking trail around a pond. The plauground is huge and am a big fan of it being split into an area for 2-5 year olds and 5+ sides.

The Children's Museum of the Upstate in Spartanburg is a delightful destination for families with young children. This charming museum offers a variety of engaging play areas, including an impressive train table and a unique water feature that even has built-in seating for little ones who may need extra support. The main floor is filled with interactive exhibits like a grocery store setup where kids can role-play as cashiers or chefs, while downstairs provides additional fun experiences.
What a great place! There was so much for littles to play with, and the museum was clean with friendly staff members. We were traveling through and popped in for a couple hours with our three toddlers. Definitely worth a visit for those with young families. Amazing train table, Also, notable to mention that the water table has built in seats for babies or little guys not quite tall enough to play. I had never seen this before! If we end up visiting Spartanburg again, we will surely be back here again!

We decided to give this location a try since the one in Greenville seems to be made for older children and my little one is only four. There is plenty to do and lots of fun to be had. We stayed for two hours. I’m glad to know this is a spot we can frequent.

I truly enjoyed celebrating my Sista's son birthday here. First, the staff was very friendly. It's small but so cute. It does have a main floor plus downstairs. On the main floor they had little stuff animals, a play area with balls and other learning tools on the wall. They had a cash register, a stove with pots and pans. I guess you can say it was a grocery store where the kids can pick up items and place them at the register or cook. Downstairs was very fun. It had an area for the kids to sit in the chairs and play with the boats in the water and they had a big castle. The kids could put on outfits, crawl through the castle and climb. It was really nice. The bathrooms, very clean. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you are in Spartanburg, SC to visit. Oh and before I forget they do host parties downstairs in the party room
Ria R — Google review
A cute space that offers a lot for young children to play. While not as big as the other location, you can easily spend a few hours here exploring what each section has to offer. They have few different spaces for crawlers to paly safely, both up & downstairs. Upstsurs has a doctor's station, little store & nature tree corner all with little activities/ information to explore. Downstairs has a nice long water play space, what seems to be a new section for imaginative play which offers a cool climbing section & slide, & a very large train table. Definitely worth a visit!
Elizabeth W — Google review
Absolutely stunning water feature in basement Upstairs was a mess, no one was picking up after their kids and staff was just sitting around the front. The train table is amazing as well! Kiddos seemed to enjoy the cute treehouse! Recommend another trash can and hand washing/sanitizing station downstairs - there was only 1 and the only trash is in the restroom. Please police people to clean up or have staff putting stuff back so the kids can enjoy it. We spent 15 mins putting the food back in the shop and still didn't finish. Bathroom downstairs covered in water (expected) and had 2 stools for kids to use, changing pad and diaper genie. Ok been here 2 hours and someone is finishing up the tidying we did when we first came in. There's a soggy food specimen under the treehouse 🤢

Nice little place to take the younger kids ages 1-7 while downtown. Has two floors. Right across from public parking deck.

This place is so much fun. It’s much bigger than I expected with two levels. My nephew had the best time playing at the water table and sending leaves through the pneumatic tube in the treehouse area. Everyone there was very nice and it was clean. A wonderful spot to take your kids!

Multiple arts buildings with multiple disciplines of art. We visited the museum of art that had some interesting paintings from various artists. It was small, but the displays were placed well and it seemed larger than it was. Free admission was a good thing also. Would recommend this Cultural Center to anyone who appreciates expression and imagination.

This place is awesome. I had my daughter's bridal shower here and everyone had a fantastic time. It was clean, organized and the art displays were so beautiful. Kathy, the event planner, was also awesome. She is such a sweet person. Thank you Kathy. I have also brought my granddaughter to the museum (It's quite entertaining). I would absolutely have another event here and highly recommend the Chapman Cultural center.

Sophias is a cozy establishment with an outdoor mural, offering classic Italian dishes in a minimalist dining area. The restaurant is famous for its delightful cuisine and warm hospitality. The menu showcases options such as garlic bread, lasagna, and chicken marsala. Visitors are greeted by the inviting aroma of garlic that fills the air upon arrival. A notable feature of Sophias is their attention to detail and personal care towards their patrons.
Located in Morgan Square, right around the corner from the famous Spartanburg mural, is this quaint Italian eatery that serves up excellent dishes and impeccable service. Sophia’s is a gem. The food is fresh, the beverage options are plentiful, and it is priced appropriately for the offering they provide. It’s a wonderful place to celebrate, enjoy a date night, or dine outside and take in the downtown views when the weather allows. We always enjoy our time here…and you will, too! (Be sure to get dessert!!)

My hubby & I stopped in prior to seeing a show at the Memorial Auditorium on 12/17/24 and it was a nice experience. We were greeted promptly at our reservation time of 5PM & seated near the entrance. I do not recall our waiter's name but he was fine and took our order promptly. What stuck out is he didn't tell us his name nor did he go over the evening's specials but did so with the tables near us that were seated after us (and funny enough, what I orderes was a special that night and he never said anything...)Seemed odd and made his service to us seem impersonal. The fresh bread & oil was good for me but hubby found the oil to be a bit too bitter & green for his tastes. I had the lobster ravioli and hubby had alfredo pasta with sausage and mushrooms, both dishes we really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared an order of chocolate coated cream puffs which were just the thing to top off dinner. Hope to stop in again soon!

Wow! The food was so good and the service is impeccable. The best service of anywhere I have ate in Spartanburg. If you haven’t been here, give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

My sister wanted to go we made reservations whilst we walked dogs. Hostess, manager and the runner were prompt and delightful. We were having a great time catching up. However, my chicken masala was salty and I made mention to our waitress and wherein she rolled her eyes. All of us saw it. We are 3 beautiful black women. We said nothing yet decided that her tip was going to be low. Manager immediately came and he asked me if I wanted something else...marinara sauce a little spicy. Laaaawdy they dumped the red pepper flakes in my dish. We continued laughing requested takeout plates and then left after leaving $6 and a note to the waitress. Never again...nor recommend.

Amazing food. Best chicken Alfredo in town. The place is small and tight. That makes it quaint, but it does get loud. Wish they had a little more room. Waitstaff has been great each time I’ve been there. Really good little date night spot if you can get a reservation.

This place was amazing. My husband brought me here for my birthday and everything about the restaurant was great. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter helped with our selections which everything suggested was great. We had the Meatballs for appetizer. The sauce was really good and I enjoyed it with the bread. I had the lasagne which is a must try and he had the fettuccine and sausage. For dessert which we got to go, the tiramisu was delicious.

Its art deco design, chic furnishings, and tantalizing aroma of in-house roasted coffee make it an ideal spot for meetings, coffee dates, or solo study sessions. The vintage charm combined with modern flair creates a unique and inviting space for patrons to enjoy their favorite beverages along with delicious breakfast and lunch items. Additionally, visitors can borrow putters from partnering businesses downtown to play mini-golf.
If you're searching for a coffee shop that perfectly blends outstanding food, excellent coffee, and a unique ambiance, look no further than The Pharmacy Coffee in the Upstate area. This charming spot, one of Little River Roasting Co.'s locations, is a must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone looking to unwind in a thoughtfully designed space. The atmosphere is one of the first things you'll notice—pharmacy-inspired decor paired with a beautiful view creates a relaxing and distinctive setting that feels both welcoming and inspiring. Whether you're journaling, catching up with friends, or simply savoring a quiet moment, this is a place that truly elevates the experience. The coffee here is just as spectacular as you'd expect. I started with the Lump of Coal, a rich and indulgent drink complemented by a bold shot of espresso. It was the perfect pick-me-up to kick off my visit. For lunch, I tried the Vannerson on Croissant, a delicious combination of smoked turkey, hummus, havarti cheese, cucumber, tomato, and mayo layered onto a flaky, buttery croissant. Every ingredient was fresh, and the flavors balanced beautifully—clearly, a lot of care goes into crafting their menu. The staff at The Pharmacy Coffee are another highlight. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure every guest felt right at home. Their kindness added to an already exceptional experience. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by The Pharmacy Coffee. From the incredible food and coffee to the thoughtful ambiance, this spot is a gem worth exploring.

This is a cute coffee shop, the coffee is delicious, I love that they ask if you want it served in an actual coffee cup or to go cup! Of course I picked the cup to sit down. Pharmacy has been my favorite coffee shop in Spartanburg ever since it's opened! All the staff have consistently been super helpful and sweet, the drinks are amazing, and so much love goes into the shop. I'm a huge fan of their specialty pop up drink menus. It's both a treat to see the staff have fun and get to be creative, and also a literal treat for me when I get one of the specialty drinks. Thanks for all your hard work, Pharmacy!

I have been eating here over 30 years.over the last 10 years this has become one of if not THE WORST restaurant. My last 3 times have been horrible and I didn't leave a review just kept hoping for a better outcome the next time.well Tonight was the next time!and the last time.We only came because it was boiling springs high school basketball fund raising night that my child is part of.The meal was 33.96$.Not one single piece of hot nor fresh pizza. The only positive Tonight was the tea(which never disappoints)and the basketball team smiling. The turn out was nothing like it should have been. Im almost positive because of the reputation pizza inn has gotten established over the last couple of years. I gave them a 31.00$tip but should have just came and gave them the full 60+ and some hugs and left.i can't express how disappointing this place has become.

Went here after a graduation ceremony and the food was delicious! I could taste the greasiness in the bread and that delicious oven cooked taste that homemade pizzas have. The staff was good, we came in within about an hour of closing time and we ended up being the last customers out the door. The staff didn’t even begin taking up anything from the bar until we were getting ready to leave, our waitress even came to ask if we wanted anything off the bar and we were not rushed out like many other places do! THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY BETTER THAN CICI’s PIZZA and I let them all know that and how much we were satisfied! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! It was worth the over 2hour trip to get some good quality tasting pizza❤️with plight service and where they don’t kick you out so they can close the establishment on the dot! This was also our 1st time here or any Pizza Inn anywhere, very well done guys A+ across the board!

Waited 15 min for a fork. Asked twice. Only about 20-25 people in the whole restaurant. I got attitude each time I asked. How long does it take to wash a fork and how do you run out with only 20 people in the whole place. I eventually went and asked for a plastic fork after I ate pizza so I could at least eat the salad I made and not waste it. This place has went severely down hill over the last couple of year.

Multiple employees INCLUDING the manager, went from making pizza without gloves to changing a trash can, touching the inside of it, RIGHT back to making pizzas. I was going to file a complaint but the manager started doing it too before I could get him to talk to me. Skip this place.

Fantastic as always, this is the pizza inn to go to. I'm 50 years old and it's just as good as when I was a kid! It's always a pleasure to bring family and friends here,at some point this pizza inn is like part of the family too! Thanks to all the management and staff that make this place what it is.

This could be a good place if they didn't serve rotting food. Spaghetti bake was rotten and the salad bar smells funky as well. The people working were nice.
Toni — Google review
Staff is very nice and friendly, they're painting and fixing up the place so the atmosphere wasn't quite the same, did find a little secret that place over by the game room so we had privacy. But to be honest the Pizza Hut on the east side to me and to my family we talked about it and we agreed that they had a better quality pizza, because we like thin crust and they're thin crust is better.

Hollywild Animal Park is a zoo that boasts a vast array of animals who roam freely. Many of these animals have been featured in movies and television shows, and the park offers safari rides to visitors. One of its main attractions is the drive-in Christmas lights display and feeding experience, which is highly anticipated by visitors every year. Despite some issues with vehicles going in every direction during feeding time, people love this unique opportunity to see these precious animals up close.
Went on a Thursday evening before Christmas. There was a small line that moved quickly. The kids had a blast looking at the lights and feeding the animals. They were able to ride in the truck bed and touch the animals. Be prepared to pay extra for the Deer Forest and for food to feed the animals. There is a walk through Santa’s Village that is optional after the light show and that is also extra (we skipped this part). Great way for people of all ages to get in the Christmas spirit. Enjoyed that it ended with a small nativity and Bible verses.

I had a blast going here. I did think it was going to be a bit more but I still enjoyed. I am excited to go back during Christmas to see what they have going on. As a mother I would not travel a long ways to go here. I also wouldn't drive the nicest car I have. Lol. I may have a little horn bump but what did i expect? Great laughs and beautiful animals.

We went for the Magic of Lights, it was so packed and I'm guessing if you have young kids it'd be great, but it was just OK, the best part was the drive thru deer experience, but that cost an extra ten bucks and no where does it say that when you choose which way to go, it'd be nice if the sign said "for an additional ten dollars, drive through out deer experience", because although that was the best part, it wasn't anything special. Great for little ones, teens and adults not so much, but I will be back for the zoo itself.
Renee — Google review
Their light display was one worth of the patience to experience... well maintained, though a little muddle, so don't wear good footwear. The deer forest was worth the admission and feed. Cows and deer came right to the vehicle and there was sure enough deer to keep you on your toes driving.. bring Hand wipes and sanitizer. Cows and bulls will sure make you wish you had some ... but hands down, best experience I've had the privilege to make memories from... Thank you hollywild.

We were very disappointed with our visit today. The main entrance listed on the website was closed, and there was a sign saying that all information is on the website. The website clearly stated that it is open on Sundays from 1–5 pm. We arrived at 1:30 pm, but everything was closed. Later, we saw another sign on the road pointing to a drive-thru, but that area was closed too. We even drove around the entire place, and every gate was locked. We also saw another car driving around, clearly trying to find an entrance as well. Our child was very upset, and the whole day was ruined. Very frustrating experience.

Took my mom and daughter. We had a very nice night. The wait at the beginning was about 10-15 min, after that, no wait at all until we got in line for the deer forest. It is very very muddy, but no a problem for my vehicle.

3HOUR WAIT TO GET IN. Seriously we got in line which is over a mile long at 5:45pm... they close at 9pm. We didn't get to the lights till 8:50pm a WASTE OF MONEY! We drove over an hour to get here and I bought tickets ahead of time in so we had to wait 3hrs for less the nothing. 3 hours 3 HOURS for the line to split into 6 lines.... 2 of which DON'T MOVE. Only to go back to 1 single line. Seriously the 2 far left lines don't get in them youll be stuck watching everyone else get in. The women working the shack are too busy chatting and having "technical issues" to get people through. Watched 12 cars in the line to our right get through as we just parked. I finally had to walk up to the shack and ask whats up and magically the line is moving.... then the person "directing Traffic" let's just the cars to the far right go and forgets there are other lines. I paid $90 to sit in a parking lot..... we also didn't get a chance at santas villages, too long to get in. My kid was heart broken at not getting to see santa or the grinch. Also if you buy online TELL THEM they aren't paying attention so deer forrest, small toys you buy if you don't tell them you don't get it. Just this was a horrible experience. 1 of the geese in the park also has a messed up beak and I felt so sorry for it. We got in 9minutes before they closed. Just not worth it. Paying $90 to get to see some ok lights and animals that are now overfed so the deer forrest wasn't worth the extra $10. None of the animals were hungry anymore. So not worth it. So terrible, I've been coming to hollywild since I was a kid....and honestly this is the WORST I have ever seen it. You'll be paying for a parking lot experience. This just was horrible. I wasted money and more importantly so much TIME.
Hawk C — Google review
We go every year. It’s a Christmas tradition. It always worth it. I highly recommend the deer farm! Go early because if you don’t, the animals get full and they won’t eat as much. Always a wonderful experience.

Ciclops Cyderi & Brewery, founded in 2014 by Kolby Garrison, has evolved from a home-based operation to become Spartanburg's first cidery. The brewery's beers and ciders are a testament to the team's playful and unforgettable character. The food menu offers around 10 options, including shareable items like meat and cheese trays as well as individual meals such as the chicken salad croissant.
Super fun place. First night here and was welcomed as if a regular. So many amazing choice for drink, but the atmosphere is why we will be back. Looking forward to getting my own mug here too!

Terrible service. We came here for dinner/drinks before a show across the street. I understand it was busy so we waited in line patiently and ordered accordingly and I tipped. My SO noted the bill was high but I didn’t think anything of it. 30 minutes passed so we asked kindly where our food was, when asked they checked and it immediately came out. Again things happen so we weren’t stressed until they brought put three pizzas. Now we clearly ordered two pizzas and 1 drink (which was honestly not even a shot of mead but again we didn’t complain). When I mentioned to the lady at the cashier that our order wasn’t correct, she first tried to argue with me then said she would take care of it. Now I’m upset, first off we waited 30 minutes for flatbreads and now the order is wrong when we are two people who clearly cannot eat that much food. That same pizza is brought out and the guy was waiting for someone to get it. I go up to him and tell him hey we didn’t order that and can you please make sure it’s refunded. The lady interrupts and said she took care of it, no receipt given. Of course when I get my credit card statement, there was no refund and I was charged the full amount. I filed to my credit card company but this is ridiculous. We were kind the whole time and to be treated like this for a mistake we didn’t even make it. Definitely won’t be back which is sad because I love local places but that was a terrible experience.

Picked this place after reading reviews - them having cider and mead to go with a nice selection of beers was a plus as my wife is more cider and meads so it had something for both of us. First time here and stopped in on the way from Charlotte to Atlanta and couldn't have been so pleasantly surprised. The bartender, Shelby, is a gem. Her and my wife had a good time talking about Disney. Good selection of different kinds of beers. I had the Dead Men T.N.T. which is a stout that has like 5 different chilies in it. It was awesome. My wife tried a mead that was just meh but the Fruit Cup Cocktail Gluten-Free Smoothie from Untitled Art was more up her speed. Overall, a wonderful place. They're moving into a new location soon so will have to stop in the next time we're in the area.

Great atmosphere, but quiet for a weekday. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers and other drinks on tap. I've been bringing a group of 15-20 here once a month for fellowship, and the staff is awesome. Tonight there were several events going on, which is great that it's so open for the community! And it didn't feel too crowded.

Their service is amazing and the beverages are excellent but it's the atmosphere that really got us. Very relaxing and fun. We just hung out trying new drinks and playing board games. Best time really. Will definitely be coming back!
Cecilia S — Google review
Another stop on our brewery hop. Enjoyed a flight of 5 different styles of beer. Sour, Eyeland cider, stout, brown and IPA. We enjoyed all of the different flavors, giving very high marks to a sour that goes above and beyond. I really enjoyed the Dead Men TNT stout because it had a fun and unexpected (unless you read the description) bite of different peppers. The atmosphere was trying to be fun. There is corn hole and a ping pong table available. Plenty of seating areas inside and some outside which will be nice for warmer days. (Currently February 20th). The bathrooms are very clean. I just wish there was more of a theme kept in mind with the decor, or in this case, lack of decor. But the beer and service makes up for any of that. The bartender was excellent, very quick and helpful. We ordered an extra growler of the sour to go and he kindly kept it cool for us while we were tasting and even made sure we didn’t leave without it.
Laurie R — Google review
1 out the 4 beers we had was meh and had a dish soup aftertaste. Could be because the glass might not have been cleaned properly. Great atmosphere, very informative staff. Not my best experience in breweries, but a place to have a decent beer.

Nice space, loved the retro video games. I wished there were more cyders available that day but the ones we had were great. I appreciate their version of pterodactyl beers. I would definitely come back to try again.

UnderPin Lanes 'N Lounge is a unique entertainment venue that combines an upscale bowling experience with a creative cocktail lounge. Located in a repurposed warehouse space, it offers eight full-service lanes for cosmic bowling and themed nights. The atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for family outings, date nights, or hanging out with friends. Additionally, the venue features an outdoor Biergarten called FR8yard made from re-purposed shipping containers and Bond Street Wines for wine enthusiasts.
Wow we had the best time bowling here! It’s like a boutique alley and the decor is very cool! We ate before hand so I can’t comment on the food but the menu looked nice. We will definitely be back for Sunday Funday.😍 I really like how you can customize your game and the theme on the monitor ( we choose Halloween themed) and you can even take bowler photos for the monitor.
Cara P — Google review
If your priority is bowling don't come here. If you do come here and care about your gear don't bring it. Lanes are more dust than oil and I have multiple new scratches on my ball after only 3 frames. The approach has gunk all over the floor and is not swept often so there is a good chance of sticking rather than sliding. Pins are on string which make it harder to hit and in some cases not count if they slide/are launched into the back or corner still upright.
Jake Z — Google review
Don’t go here. They don’t take care of the lanes. Super dry, very dusty, and the gutters were full of dirt / trash. Additionally, no refunds given if unsatisfied and don’t use the time.
Joseph H — Google review
I wish I could put 0 stars. We paid for a full hour and barely played for 20 minutes because the ball chute wasn’t working on lanes 7 or 8. And the “best” they could do was a free hour and the manager didn’t even have the audacity to hand it to me herself and had her young employee do it and put her head down walking by me. Reading back in a previous review from OVER A MONTH AGO, they had the same issue. Why continue to put people on those lanes and not fix the issue. Definitely not worth the $56 we paid.
Kaitlyn M — Google review
This place is sick 10/10. We came here randomly with some of our family and loved this place. 💛 it’s 21 and up after 9pm 🤌🏼 and there are only 6 lanes total which keeps the vibe right. ♦️The vibe is very lounge/chill. ♦️Great for a date night with your SO or fun adult atmosphere for the family. ♦️Food was INSANE: 🔸 Chicken Nachos 15/10 and enough to feed 4 for sure 🔸 Chicken Fingers 12/10 so tasty and perfectly crunchy + the seasoning on the fries was delicious. 🔸 We all had a couple drinks which were great as well (vodka sodas and modelos) and the bartenders were awesome as well. We’re already planning on coming back with a bigger group next time 😛

I am honestly disappointed in my experience at Underpin tonight. I have been multiple times before with no problems, but tonight was a different story. We arrived at around 11:15 on a Saturday knowing they close at 12. Immediately upon entrance we were greeted with disdain and told they were closed prior to speaking to a manager. Once we got a lane, we ordered drinks and were told it was last call, which was not a problem at all. We began our game and were enjoying our time but about 5 minutes into our game, the music was abruptly turned off and an employee came to inform us we had 30 minutes left, once again, this was not a problem as we knew the closing time before we arrived. At 11:40, we were on our 9th frame and close to finishing our game, when an employee once again approached us and asked if we had all gone and were ready to leave. Clearly, with only one frame left and 20 minutes until close, we were not done. The condemning glares and disgusted attitude was enough to make me and my friends not want to come back to this place that we have frequented for multiple years. If you want to be successful as a business, I would suggest accepting customers with a good attitude on a Saturday night.
Joe Y — Google review
Sadly, the service was extremely poor. Despite paying for a full hour, we lost half of it due to constant issues with our bowling balls getting stuck, requiring multiple calls to the front desk. The lady's apology and offer of just FOUR additional minutes were insufficient. NOT ACCEPTABLE! Line 7, Saturday July 19th 2025. I was having a great time visiting my family from Naples, FL. But this ruined the moment.

Specialty Museums
The BMW Zentrum is a museum and information center that showcases vintage cars, motorcycles, concept automobiles, and more. Visitors can take a factory tour to observe the impressive machinery used in production. The tour involves some walking but includes frequent stops for detailed explanations by the guide. The atrium at the entrance features several cars on display, and there is also a gift shop available for purchasing BMW merchandise. It's important to note that strict policies and procedures are enforced during the tour.
I've always been a fan of BMW and I've enjoyed driving the three I've had. I finally received the opportunity to tour the facility. I had a wonderful time touring the BMW site and museum. It is so state-of-the-art and advanced. Very clean, organized, and heavily involved with continuous improvement, and 6S (6th S for safety). Employees looked like they were enjoying their careers and daily tasks. My tour guide was Mrs. Tracy and she was extremely informative and engaged with us. The one thing that caught my attention the most was the fact that many BMWs were parked in the employee parking lots. That speaks volumes on BMW as a brand and the fact that the employees trust the product enough to own one. I'm looking forward to returning after the expansion and is interested in building a career there, myself!

Cool walk along present and past BMW vehicles produced in the plant there in Spartanburg County. A very cool building with the fountain outside made for a neat experience. They even had a few of the BMW motorcycles on display that were nice looking.

Don’t go with big expectations they have a few classics BMW’s and a sample of all the latest. No reservation required and is walkin to the museum. Clean space nice little cafe and a BMW souvenir store. Takes a max of 30-40 mins to go around

Very informative tour, beautiful facility. Impressive machines and efficiency of factory. Loved that they take you on a bus, give you safety goggles and headphones to guide you through the factory.

The building is an architectural art piece. The museum itself is lacking. Only about 20 cars, 5 worth seeing and 3 motorcycles. Video is interesting. Snack cafe has a few offerings. Most everything in the gift shop is made in China and overpriced.
Catt H — Google review
Very nice tour. Just wish you could take pictures on the tour. Amazed to see how much is sourced from the local area to make each vehicle. Makes me want to buy one.
David P — Google review
Great tour of the subassembly process. Loved seeing the giant Kuka robots manipulate the vehicles easily. Lots of welding and gluing of the vehicle parts to make a completed frame. Our tour guide was truly phenomenal! Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was incredibly well informed and educated about the BMW manufacturing processes and kept us all safe throughout the tour. Well worth the time and money for this tour!
Erick P — Google review
I visited on 3/6/24. Our tour guide was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. The tour did not seem rushed and we were able to see many facets of vehicle assembly (excl drivetrain, mechanicals, interior), especially fit and finish. The museum was compact, but comprehensive. I wish they had some additional motorcycles on display; there were only four and I hoped the display would include adventure bikes. Maybe they didn't feature more because they aren't produced there? (Hey, BMW, they don't take up a lot of room!) The biggest miss was the gift shop. I wouldn't be so harsh had I not previously toured the Munich plant (Sept. 2016) and experienced that store. Munich's store was nothing short of phenomenal. Reasonally priced, custom-made goods, with European flair and design. I previously purchased a black "BMW Welt" women's fitted v-neck t-shirt with cool, unusual graphics and made with thick cotton, a "BMW Welt" rollerball pen, a blue "BMW Motorrad Motorsport" women's fitted v-neck t-shirt (again, thick cotton with white and red sleeves and a BMW logo appliquéd patch, a silkscreened image on the other sleeve and "BMW Motorrad Motorsport" larger and written down the back, on the reverse). What the Greer, SC facility did have was two light pink women's shirts that I wouldn't be caught dead wearing (one was a polo shirt). I saw nothing with "BMW Zentrum" on it. Instead what I found was typical American apparel with overinflated prices. I was interested in purchasing items for my three young grandchildren. There was nothing I could find to purchase for them! Two boys and a girl, ages 7, 4, and 2! My son always asks me to purchase books from where I visit for them. I purchased "Greenville, SC" books for them at O.P. Taylor's Toy Store in DT Greenville. I also wanted to purchase a book about the facility. There were no books, postcards, coloring books, children's books, or any reading material for that matter! During my visit I walked through the store three times to make sure there wasn't anything I missed. Nope. This facility has been open for 20 years! What gives? The gentleman working behind the counter in the Isetta Cafe made a perfect, European cappuccino! Bravo. Addendum (2/6/2025): The other day, my grandson was wearing one of the items I bought at the Munich museum gift store in September of 2016. I am adding them to my photos so someone at BMW can see the difference in items offered in the Greer location gift shop.

Monsoon Noodle House is a casual eatery that offers a variety of Pan-Asian noodle dishes and bubble tea. From Vietnamese Pho noodle soup to Thai coconut noodle soup, Japanese ramen, and more, they have an array of comforting noodle bowls. In addition to noodles, the restaurant also serves stir-fry rice meals, fresh salads, spring rolls, fried wonton, lettuce wraps, and Asian platters.
We visited Monsoon Noodle House and loved it. We loved the stir fry the most. We look forward to going back for dinner with our two daughters.

Food looks, smell and taste was good. Quantity is very less for the price. Hence, food is pricey. Restaurant location and ambiance is great. Menu options are good. The young staff at the register was friendly and welcoming.

First-time customer who loves Vietnamese food. Monsoon Noodle didn't disappoint. Warm and clean atmosphere with fast service. You can enjoy inside and outside table dining. You enter. Check the menu on the wall order then take your table. You may want to read their menu before visiting them to speed entry. PHO soup was excellent, my partner enjoyed the Satay chicken and vegetable spring rolls. They also have a full bar. Enjoy Asian then make this a must in a relaxing , fun setting.

This place is a dream. The food, the staff, the atmosphere. Its amazing. They were so quick with delivering the food we were shocked that it was still hot or cold exactly as it should have been. Food was fresh and perfectly flavored. Everyone worked as a team to give prompt, perfect service. My son even called it a " 10 out of 10 stars." I didnt even get pictures before we started eating because it looked so good. 100% recommend.

Finally a resturant with asian dishes packing flavor! The flavor of the “house noodles” was savory and had all the right notes. Overall environment was good and staff were always checking in to make sure we had what we needed. A bonus is on their website they have pictures of each menu item. Would highly reccomend for those needing a little help.

Oh my gosh! So good!! Best dumplings I’ve ever had in the noodle soup. The Thai coconut noodle soup was out of this world! We had two giant bowls of incredible noodle soup, two Thai iced teas and a wonton soup and it was only $41 when we paid with cash. Food came out fast and hot. The atmosphere is great with unique, colorful decor and good low volume music.

Very good food. Consistent quality. Service is also good and consistent. Staff is friendly and seem genuinely happy to see you. We park in the city parking lot next to Blue Moon and walk into thr back of Monsoon. Easier to get in that way. There is plenty of tables inside as well as tables outside in front. I enjoy the chicken pad Thai and pot stickers. My husband and kids and tried a variety of items and everything has been delicious. You can specify the level of spice or even no spice if need be. Go. You will enjoy it!

"The Lemongrass Kitchen" is a new Vietnamese restaurant located in downtown Spartanburg. It offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with their pho being highly recommended, especially during chilly days. The restaurant is situated in the former Cafe Around the Corner space and has a similar interior. Visitors have praised the delicious fresh rolls, spring rolls, and flavorful pho. The staff is known for their hospitality and knowledge of the dishes.
Teeny little restaurant with a few tables and some window ledge seats for people watching. EXCELLENT food. We had the spring rolls, shaken beef and shrimp fried rice. The shrimp tasted like it was just caught. No fishy smell or taste. Just delicious fresh shrimp flavor. I loved the food wasn't super greasy like sometimes dishes like fried rice are. It was just fantastic and flavorful. Highly recommend getting something to go if you don't have time to wait for a table to open or the weather isn't nice enough for outdoor seating.

We stopped here on our way to Seagrove NC. Here is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 3.5/5 - It looked like a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant with small seating and a couple of tables outside. The place was not very clean to be honest. 2) Service 4.5/5 - The service was good but was not very quick. 3) Food 4.5/5: The food that we had was really good except 1 thing. Here is the summary of the food we had: a) Tofu Pho (Large): It was huge and very tasty. I am not a fan of Tofu bit I loved it here. It was more than enough for 2 people. b) Taro Boba tea - It did not have ice and it was like a smoothie which we loved. had a lot of Boba c) Lychee Boba - This was very sweet and I could see the additional sugar syrup aded to it. Not sure why they had to add it and just because of that I this became very sweet 4) Value for Money 4/5 - This place looks small but its not very cheap PS: There is less parking on the road but there is a public parking right by the corner which is free on evenings and weekends. The Good: 1) Pho 2) Taro Boba Not So Good: 1) The cleanliness Overall, I would recommend the Pho here and PS please get the regular size unless you are two people who are really hungry.

The reviews were right — this is hands down the best pho spot in Spartanburg. We stopped in for lunch and left seriously impressed. It’s a true hole-in-the-wall gem — humble on the outside, but packed with authentic flavors. The pho broth was rich, aromatic, and layered with depth. We also tried the beef banh mi, and it was spot-on: crisp baguette, tender beef, and fresh, vibrant toppings. A must-visit for anyone craving real Vietnamese comfort food.

Very authentic Vietnamese cuisine, best in the upstate. Their pho broth has such depth of flavor and their banh mi sandwiches fire on all cylinders. Their Vietnamese coffee is sweet and packed with flavor. You can tell this is a family run establishment and that they’re cooking food that they know, not confirming their cuisine to appeal to the masses. 5/5 stars, we’ll be back

There’s a reason why their reviews are so good! It’s my go to spot for pho. The ingredients are so fresh and I’ve always had good service.

Simply the best food downtown bar none. It might not look like much, but the food quality is top notch. The pho is phenomenal, even the bubble teas are above average.

Lemongrass cafe slap, no cap. 10/10 experience. Super fresh, super authentic flavors. Phenomenal service and guidance from the staff. Eat there or pick it up and take it home, you won’t be sorry!!! Some of the best food in Spartanburg for real.
