One of the cheapest options for fresh products in the Atlanta area, without trading off for quality. Veggies, fruits, nuts,...you can't find it more reasonably priced than here. Also a great (local) brewery and wine selection, bakery and cheese selection. It can be crowded during peak hours and they don't accept credit cards (only cash, check or debit). Even when it's crowded they always have enough cash registers open to accommodate a fairly quick checkout. There's also a bicycle rack available in case you're on a two-wheeler.
You name the veritable , sea food or anything else,. And it is available here.. this is an amazing place for food lovers.. fresh vegetables acroas the globe is available here at one single place.. it is an amazing place to buy coffee, seafood, fresh vegetables and bakery items.. Loved this place..♥️♥️
If we lived in the area, definitely we'd shopping there often. Their bakery looked so good and their fruits tart was so good😋
Nice products on offer. Really good if you're into fresh and organic foods. Huge selection of everything you could need. Very interesting place. Cakes are nice but the fruits seem to be to the American taste, quite watery
Check in was easy. Gave me door right away. In 45mins unloaded. Pretty much space to back in the dock and also they got parking area for to wait. Im not sure if there is overnight parking. Even after I delivered the load i spend a couple of hours their parking lot. Nobody told me anything. Will definitely come back again.
They dont tell you the price over the phone you have to drive there. Then when I went to get soursop ALL of their soursop was black and not green. Then they say its non-refundable. Lowest quality soursop I've ever seen in my life. Ill stick to soursop shops.
This is one of the reason why I love living in the Atlanta area. I’ve been going to this farmers market since the late 90s and it never disappoints. The market is very consistent about the quality of their vegetables, fruit, meats, and baked goods. It never disappoints! I absolutely love their Italian chicken sausage, cheese, fruits, and vegetables. It’s not the posh Whole Foods grocery store; however, it always has the most challenging ingredients I need when preparing meals. The spice wall is amazing and has any spice that my heart desires. There is meat section that offers some of the most unusual selection of proteins. A fish market , wine area, and different types of flours to prepare just about anything you can think of. This place is an experience and one of my favorite places in town. The staff is generally polite; however, certain times of the year this place is very BUSY and not the most organized when it is time to check out during those times.
This place is amazing they have everything you think you want or need. I lost my mind in the seafood department every single thing in this place is FRESH FRESH.

Nice little pub that was NOT TOO CROWDED when all the other mega trendy places were bursting at the seams acting like they had no use for our cold hard cash. The square pub took us in with friendly service, good food, and a decent beer selection. Come here amd empty your wallet without waiting 45 minutes!
Service was a little spotty-- it took a while to get noticed when we walked in. The Square Pub doesn't really seem to have an identity. We ordered some nachos and they came out with the wrong meat but it wasn't a big deal-- they were actually pretty good.
Friendly staff good mixed drinks and delicious food
Had a great time with a friend. Red the bartender was fantastic. The grilled shrimp with the mango and pineapple salsa was spot on.
This place was amazing! The burger selections were awesome and had a huge variety of toppings to choose from. There were other options on the menu as well and the seating was arranged over three levels. Our group split a pimento cheese dip that was delicious. Overall a great experience!!
It was super chilled and the food was really good. I had the pulled pork on the hash browns with eggs on top. I liked the taste of it because it was very creative, tasted good and was inexpensive. The service/customer service was good. Me and my date are coming back here soon. I don't like collard greens and theirs are amazing! How much I paid? $9.62 before tip.
Cute and quaint hole-in-the-wall kind of bar. They have an upstairs with more tables and games. Not a huge bar but never overly packed. They serve food late as well and their house cocktails are worthy. Friendly staff. I always stop by anytime I am in Decatur Square. Good crowd and good vibes. Highly recommend!
Fantastic location for a late night getaway with friends. The outdoor tables facing the courtyard on the square were perfect. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The food was cooked fresh and served quickly. Attractive daily specials and features are posted.

I've loved the weddings I've photographed here - if you’re on the search for a wedding venue that seamlessly blends history, elegance, and convenience, look no further than the illustrious Historic DeKalb Courthouse. Situated at the very heart of Decatur Square, this tasteful architectural landmark offers a refined canvas that promises to elevate your special day to new heights! IG @AlbionReid
The Courthouse is the perfect wedding venue! My husband and I knew we wanted to bring our family and friends together in Decatur to celebrate, and this venue was the ideal setting. Working with Mallory is a breeze and the space truly speaks for itself - we kept our decor minimal and were so pleased with how the power of the historic details. The location is great with two hotels across the street and the many great bars and restaurants in the square - we were able to keep the party going after the wedding with friends and family nearly. Highly recommend if you want a great vintage look and feel with a fair price! We also had a great experience with their preferred vendors who were well versed on the space and kept the day flowing smoothly.
The DeKalb History Center Museum is the perfect location for your wedding day! The venue can seamlessly transition you from wedding ceremony to reception within the same space. As a wedding photographer, I love the freedom within the space that allows me to photograph the wedding from many angles that most venues don't provide the luxury to do. I was able to capture the day from multiple perspectives and easily transition from bridal prep portraits to the ceremony location within seconds. I would inform all future wedding couples looking for a venue, do not doubt this venue as a selection. I truly believe it is the perfect pick with endless parking options very close to the venue in heart of downtown Decatur....seconds away from Decatur Marta Station as well.
The venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We comfortably hosted 120 guests. Mallory made sure we had everything we needed to make our event a success. She really went above and beyond!!! We're so grateful. The venue looks stunning in pictures. I would definitely recommend to anyone!!!
Had my wedding here and everything was AWESOME! Our small group of family & friends loved it. Mallory is wonderful and very easy to work with, very professional and helpful!
We got married at the Dekalb Historic Center and it was a great time! Mallory was there to answer any questions. She was helpful with a situation we had with our gift table and was very responsive and even reviewed footage to help us out figure out what happened. The catering team had a prep area to use. the venue was wonderful for photos and to host a 120 person wedding. DHC had a spot to store some extra supplies to make the transition easier for set up. It was easy to bring alcohol in for the wedding. As well as all the decore needs. Since we had dinner family style the back room was used as the bar which was perfect to give people a chance to step away from the music if needed. We enjoyed our time so much we ended up extending our time for an additional hour to make sure everyone was able to enjoy their time. Being in the square it was walking distance from the hotels we had blocks at and there are a bunch of restaurants to let guests choose from. We highly recommend this venue for a wedding or any occasion!
They always have a great free exhibit going. Very educational. I love being a resident of Decatur and being able to learn more about the history behind this great area
I have photographed plenty of weddings at the Dekalb History Center and it is definitely one of my favorite wedding venues! There is a ton of potential for wedding photos including the ceremony space, out surrounding areas, and the beautiful front steps. I always suggest that my couples get prepped close by at one of the hotels only a block away to save time. The staff at the Dekalb History Center have always been great to work with as well!

Love this store! Such funky, unique and wonderful items! They sell locally (or close to local) made items. Great place to go to find something special as a gift. The employees are always so friendly!
I loved everything about it!! Such a cute and unique shop!! We were greeted upon entering. Said if we needed help with anything to let her know. So many unique and cool things to choose! After we found what we were looking for, we were asked if we would like our purchases wrapped. I love that touch! I look forward to going back soon!
Cutest shop in Atlanta area! They have the most amazing stuff. They have so many things to look at (and buy😅). And the staff are so friendly, and knowledgeable! I would definitely go again!
This shop is the perfect place to find something for everyone. Such a unique collection of art, jewelry, decor, and so much more. Do yourself a favor and go check it out.
Love purchasing local art from HomeGrown Decatur. We always stop in when we are in Decatur.
I love this place I would buy everything for myself. Great spot to shop for gifts of all kinds.
Such a great online experience! I live in Illinois and was looking for a local shop to get a gift for a relative in Decatur. The online shopping experience was so easy and I found the perfect gifts! I went to checkout and realized that I needed wrapping, so I called and the woman on the phone was so nice! She happily told me she’d wrap my purchase and deliver it that day locally. The gift was delivered this afternoon and I just shopped this morning! Great selection, great service. I wish I could go in person.
I absolutely love this little shop in Decatur! They support so many small artists, and the staff is so friendly. It is full of so many little treasures, and there is truly something for everyone in here.

I was absolutely mind-blown by Kudzu Antiques + Modern! Walking in felt like stepping into a treasure trove—I must have said, "Oh, look at this!" over a hundred times like an excited kid. The selection is outstanding, with so many unique, high-quality pieces that kept surprising me at every turn. The staff was incredibly welcoming, making the experience even better. We had some great laughs, and their knowledge and friendliness made shopping a joy. I was lucky enough to find a Solid Brass Delft chandelier from Spain, and it’s absolutely stunning! My son, husband, and I had an amazing time, and I can’t wait to come back. Whether you're a serious collector or just love discovering beautiful things, this place is a must-visit in Atlanta!
I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the incredible experience I had walking through your store. From the moment I stepped through the doors, there was an unmistakable feeling of warmth and familiarity—like coming home. You've created more than just a shop; it truly feels like a lovingly curated sanctuary. The layout is both elegant and inviting, encouraging discovery at every turn. I was completely captivated by the thoughtful placement of beautiful little trinkets tucked into every corner—each one telling its own quiet story. And then, just when I thought I’d seen it all, I turned a corner and was met with pieces so stunning, they genuinely took my breath away. Your store is a rare gem, a celebration of timeless charm and the enduring beauty of antiques. For anyone who appreciates history, craftsmanship, and the quiet soul that only vintage pieces carry—Kuduz is an absolute must-visit. Thank you for creating such a special space. I’ll certainly be back, and I won’t stop recommending you to fellow lovers of all things beautiful and nostalgic.
A fascinating store with a unique and mindblowing collection of antiques/ old as well as some new items, mostly of decorative and furniture categories. It's so huge... you can spend an hour up to may be an entire day exploring it. They have a very nice collection of paintings and furniture items. Since most of the items are antique/ old, it is difficult to assess the reasonability of prices. The display is nice, the store is immaculately clean, and the staff is very friendly.
Kudzu means a quick-growing eastern Asian climbing plant with reddish-purple flowers, used as a fodder crop and for erosion control. It has become a pest in the southeastern US. This store is a great collection of antique items, furniture, apparels, accessories and many more.. its like a museum where you can buy things I loved this place..
Great place! Make sure you have a lot of time to get lost in there! Friendly staff.
Wow. Great place. Trying to kill some time in the area and Googled Antique Malls and found Kudzu. Drove over and were immediately impressed by the "lawn decor". Very fun and cool. Went inside and really enjoyed ourselves. Lots of great stuff, including furniture. Spent a couple hours checking everything out. Didn't buy much because we were traveling home in a few days and didn't have much room, but did buy a few small items. Gal at the register (Audrey) was so friendly and funny. Just made our day. I would definitely come back if I was in the area again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
A MUST GO TO PLACE if you like antique, vintage or even some modern furniture that is different or unique. Kate is absolutely amazing and very helpful at helping you find what your looking for, even if she has to locate it somewhere else. The place is well organized and you can spend a few hours browsing through the store and find something to buy for every room in your house. Great high-end vintage furniture selection. Even a Baker Furniture Chippendale tea table with a Rotating and Tilt Top that's so rare and absolutely stunning.
Cute place with a lot of variety, but cohesive feel. There seems to be a good mix of vintage items with new and some local items as well. Booths are staged by different vendors, some thematic, others a bit of a hodgepodge. Fun place to walk through.

The Official Waffle House museum is phenomenal and an awesome piece of American history! I encourage everyone to visit and learn about the huge role Waffle House has played in the development of America as we know it today. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Over the years, I’ve asked Waffle House customers if they know there’s a dishwashing sink located right in the middle of the restaurant—between the grill and the guest. Almost none of them do. Let that sink in. That’s how cognitively dissonant the entire Waffle House system is. The dishwashing system—central to hygiene, labor, and flow—is completely unacknowledged in their training manuals. It doesn’t exist in the “10 Steps of Service.” It’s not part of the designed flow of labor. It’s just... there. Loud. Wet. Central. And invisible. This isn’t just a logistical flaw. It’s a culture-wide blind spot. And that’s what Waffle House has normalized: the erasure of labor, the denial of reality, and the expectation that both staff and guests pretend nothing is wrong. I’m not angry. I’m awake. And this system desperately needs someone who is.
I wouldn’t make special plans to go here… but if you just so happen to be in the neighborhood and it happens to be open… then I would go. It takes a matter of minutes to go through the museum. The museum staff members are extremely friendly and welcoming. It is also a great place if you want Waffle House merch… yes there is a population of people that want Waffle House merch… my son happens to be one of them🤪… he walked away with a Waffle House t-shirt. Entrance is free!
They are open to the public without appointment quarterly. There is an additional meuseum next door with merch availible for sale.
We had an outstanding visit to the Waffle House Museum. We were lucky enough to be in Atlanta on one of the 4 days a year when the museum was having an open house. Original restaurant is restored and next door is small museum featuring the history of the iconic institution. Great for pictures. Visitors were clearly enjoying themselves, reliving their experiences at the restaurant. Staff were super friendly and were clearly proud of their history. Highly recommend this if you get a chance.
This site of the 1st ever Waffle House is a great place to entertain the family on the cheap. Go during their free weekends and get waffles and bottles of Cokes...for free! A nice piece of Georgia history and a must for any Waffle House fan, but be aware, this is NOT an actual restaurant, so don't go looking for food on a non-open house weekend. My kid loved playing the available games with the other children and that iconic paper hat...couldn't get it off him!
Happy 70th Anniversary! This museum is wonderful. I love that you all showcase the history.
This is where it began. The very first Waffle House and it's now the Waffle House Museum. I've been to a hundred Waffle House restaurants, as far north as Scranton PA and as far west as Oklahoma City and 27 of them just in North Carolina. The marker reads, "At this location, on Labor Day 1955, Avondale Estates neighbors Joe Rogers, Sr., and Tom Forkner founded the first Waffle House restaurant. The name was inspired by the most popular item on the original menu. The restaurant's focus on fast-food speed and round-the-clock service reflected mid-century societal shifts toward an automobile culture. As suburbs and the interstate highway system developed throughout the region and the nation, Waffle House grew to include over 1,600 locations nationwide, becoming an American cultural icon open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In 2004 Waffle House reacquired the original restaurant building and opened it as a museum in 2008." This is marker number 44-2 and it was erected in 2012 by the Georgia Historical Society, the Waffle House, the City of Avondale Estates, and the Avondale Estates Downtown Development Authority. At the moment, the museum is closed for remodeling. I look forward to returning and having a proper tour. Until then, "Chunked and covered, please."

Great place with good beer. Outdoor seating is very good. I was there during a weekday early in the afternoon. So not a lot of folks there. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Wild Heaven Brewery itself is awesome, would give 5 stars just for atmosphere and beer. Had the Watermelon Emergency beer yesterday and it was such a refreshing light beer with a definite fruit-forward flavor, loved it! And we love going to the beer garden, especially on a sunny day. Casual vibes and music, can’t beat it. We wish we could get a solid meal here too though. We had the kids grilled chicken nuggets, the side of tater tots and two of the 50/50 burgers (attached the menu for ref). The chicken nuggets (attached pic) were basically a chicken breast cut into chunks, but the chicken breast was very rubbery and we all tried a bite and ended up not eating any of it because it was so rubbery. The burgers were fair, at best. Nothing special honestly and especially for the price of $17 a piece without cheese or side. The only great part of the food were the tater tots. Those were excellent. Sadly, Would give the food itself a 2 star rating. I guess we know to just go for a happy hour with drinks, tots and the atmosphere. Wouldn’t reco for dinner. We spent over $100 for my husband and I with our daughter, but def didn’t seem or taste like that. We’ll be back for sure for drinks. So giving a 4 overall. Hopefully better food partnership in the future!
Writing this review after four visits to Wild Heaven over a year and a half. The brewery always has good live music and a nice outdoor scene. The beer is good to alright. I’ve had more alright than good styles otherwise it would be five stars. Outside of that, the bathrooms are always clean and there’s usually enough parking I never have any trouble finding a spot. For vibe, it’s great but the beer itself is a bit behind some of its walking distance competition.
There are two stars missing only for two reasons; first of which is somewhat out of WH’s control. 1. Children running amok, jumping on top of tables (where people eat and drink) and parents turning drunk eyes. 2. Compost. This place, despite amazing food, beer and live music, generally smells like cow stomachs. Wild indeed but not so heavenly.
Great basic brewery ala all the purist places in Asheville. I'll stop by at the end of an afternoon bike ride for a quick pint. Very kid friendly and they have a good truck always there. Photos are when I happened upon a marching band doing a brewery crawl through the neighborhood.
Fairly quiet when we got there so there was plenty of parking. They were serving tacos in the front part, and they looked really good, but we did not partake. There were so many beer choices that it was a little overwhelming. The names are fantastic, and I was sad to see they didn't offer flights. I had punched up, and my friends chose three other beers, but I feel mine was the best. I took home you beautiful tropical fish. Can't wait to try it. This is my favorite of breweries that I have visited on my trip.
One of many excellent breweries in the area. I can and there was a food truck and music. Outdoor seat beer garden is a fun spot to enjoy a wide select of beers. Parking can be challenging but worth a short walk.
We visited this brewery 5 years ago - back when flights were still a thing - and I wasn't the biggest fan so I figured we'd give it another shot. Sadly, still unimpressed. Emergency beer is fine, nothing special. Two others have DMS present and one has a fishy taste. It would be fine if I wasn't forced to drink an eight ounce pour. Just not my favorite brewery in Decatur.

The sours at this place are all amazing! We are from out of town and had randomly bought a sour beer at Walmart. When I tasted it, I knew it was one of the places we’d have to hit in person. The outside seating is great when it’s not too hot. We opted for inside up in the loft area. They had tons of games and a comfy couch. The kids had a blast playing games while we sipped. The pot pies they had were really good too!! They have tons of merch but unfortunately were out of hats :(
Three Taverns has my favorite sours. This location has a great inside area to hang out.
Love the space and the beer!! Tried the grapefruit white today and it was great! Refreshing and light!! Not a huge fan of sours but theirs are some of the better that I have tried. Love the inside. Lots of wood, brick and cool light fixtures. They have lots of picnic tables outside and corn hole.
I was in the area and decided to stop by to check out the Decatur location. They have a good number of parking spots right in front of the property.  I entered and the bartender advised that he just said last call, but made an exception for me.  I asked for a good Hazy IPA and he served up a glass of Bright Day Coming.  They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. I walked around and sat out in the garden area to enjoy the beer.  The layout was cool and the bartender was friendly. I will definitely be coming here during regular hours.
Visiting Atlanta for the long weekend and had read about 3 Taverns on a Thrillist article, so decided to come here straight from the airport ($30 Uber). The place wasn't very crowded. The beers were amazing! In particular, the Sours and the Midnight Snack stout are delicious!
It's Three Taverns so you know their beer is amazing. This particular location carries beers not available in stores and you should definitely give them a try. The brewery itself has a homey, rustic pub feel with a nice, outdoor seating area. While, they have an amazing IPA selection, which is my favorite, they also have a fabulous selection of sours and other styles. Bar staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!
Favorite place to go in Atlanta! I'm not a big fan of the busy vibes of the city or traffic, but this place makes me forget about all my troubles. Super cozy place with outstanding beers. The tour was great and the staff is helpful. Sours and stouts are my favorite and this place can't be beat. From seasonal to just for fun limited time releases to their tried and true brews everything here is my favorite!
The beer is on point if you like a sour or a dark beer. I am in love with the sour asylum serries (genius name!). The dark beers are so heavy so of your into that kind of thing look no further. the other beers are great to but we all have our favorites. Staff is on point and always fun. When they have the New Zealand meat pie guy there it's dinner and a drink out. COVID practice is all staff always in masks, they are social distanced inside and have heaters on the patio for those not comfortable indoors. They also offer a sanitation and water station as well outside to provide you with water and hand sani. Love this place and the vibe! Before covid Wednesday nights were open like and they did movie nights as well. 2019 halloween they did a classic film fright night and it was awesome!

I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional customer service and attentiveness from Loren during my recent visit to Glenlake Pool, and I must say, it truly made our day memorable. Loren's dedication to providing excellent customer service was evident from the moment we arrived. Her warm smile, friendly demeanor, and willingness to assist with any inquiries created a welcoming atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. Our experience at Glenlake Pool was nothing short of delightful, largely thanks to Loren and the exceptional team of lifeguards. Their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. I wholeheartedly recommend Glenlake Pool to anyone seeking a family-friendly and safe swimming environment. Thank you, Loren, and the lifeguards, for making our visit so enjoyable.
Clean and well maintained. There is parking, but it's hard to get on the weekend. There are also 3 picnic tables but if you need one, it's better to reserve one. My only complaint is that the pool isn't 25 yards wide for swimming laps.
The stars are for the two young lady’s doing a great job. I was sadly disappointed by the restroom appearance and smell. Also, the fact that the African-Americanyoung lady at the front only had a Fan and it was 91° and at the other end there was a nice non-African-American young lady? Working in a air conditioned office after going to the bathroom realizing it wasn’t in the condition for changing my clothes to go for a swim I asked if I was able to get a refund because of the unsanitary conditions. I was told that I needed to email someone, I just opted to donate that amount and leave this review instead I have been in the area for years. I’ve come there I’ve walked the cemetery grounds for exercise I always thought of this place being very decent. To actually see the type of filth and no smell of any cleaning agent, and again the young lady working with only a fan and that heat. Need to do better for real. She was a very apologetic and professional individual, and we all deserve the same fairness I didn’t see where she had any water some other people Where? complaining about something that went on inside the pool area. This young lady was handling it like she actually owned the business. Her customer service skills are impeccable and she deserves better. If that’s all you have to offer her is a fan that just circulates the hot heat. You should be ashamed of yourself. You should at least have a portable AC for this area. Go to this pool at your own risk, If you care about who you are, you we don’t deserve to pay to be in a dump! 😩🥵👎🏽
The pool was little dirty. They have a lot lounge area. It’s on their policy “avoid large float that lifeguard’s can’t view you” but they don’t allow any kinda of float that’s ridiculous. There’s not plenty of parking.
Free parking. Easy to find. Close to gym Clean. Opens at 10 and closes at 6pm. Locker rooms to change clothes. Tables to eat. Chairs to recline. Stay out of the lap lane. Pool is huge. Area for kids and deep end 8' for adults. Lifeguards on duty. You can bring food and snacks. They don't sell food. Great location. Swim here then head down to square pub or raging burrito to eat. Mixed crowd of people. All ages. I would recommend this to someone wanting to chill and swim.. kids are loud buy that's expected. Oh and once a hour there's an adult only swim. So for 10 mins all kids out of pool. Smart. Helps parents keep track of their little ones... and the water is clear and clean.. great place overall...
Massive pool (1.5 ft up to 6 ft depths) with lifeguards on post. Lap lanes in center of pool as well. RATE is $5 daily entry fee, plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, picnic table area. Outside food and coolers allowed!! Easy access off Church St. in Decatur, with street and lot parking available. Special designated "adult swim" times allotted through out the day. All in all, a great public pool. Only 4 stars due to dirty restroom. Will return.
Open for swimming , social distancing, stay with your group? Be respectful of time, to let others swim during restrictions and social distancing. Have a great day.
Love the pool. So happy they allow non-Decatur residents.

We had my husband’s 50th birthday party at Blue Tarp/High Card last night. It was perfect! The space was ours for the private event. The management & staff were all great to work with, they even helped us decorate. They’ve been on our radar as a local brewery for a while, but it is a great space for events. Highly recommend!
Solid brewery. Had four beers while here; two from BlueTarp and two from High Card. The IPAs I tried from BlueTarp were made with fruit, and I also had a ‘new release’ pale ale along with a sour from High Card. Everything was solid to tasty with the BlueTarp beers being better than the High Card ones. Space is kinda funky with a solid mojo. Staff are friendly but only chatty with what I imagine are the regulars. All BlueTarp and High Card beers are served from the same tap space; at least while I was there…although there is two spots to order beer from but the ‘right side’ was either closed due to lack of visitors or is permanently closed down. There’s roughly 15 spaces in the parking lot, but plenty of street parking as well, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot. Glad I checked it out, but not sure how soon I’ll return again.
Walked in for the first time and couldn’t tell if they sold beer or social ideologies. It was overboard so just left. Went to another nearby brewery who simply sticks to selling their product.
Beware, pay only cash here. Just stopped in w a party of 3, my cousin her husband, and I. Have 1 round, start a tab, cash out my tab ~40 and it’s $48. i hit 20% w/o thinking too much about it, and then realized that’s a lot for 3 drinks. I asked the bartender and he said my party ordered more drinks. I checked w my party, and we each only had 1: $13 drink; $9 drink; $7 drink. So charged $48 for what best case should be $29, maybe plus tax. Then tipped 20% on top of the phantom drinks, and bartender refuses to believe. Come on man.
This place is great. Tom & Alan, co-owners of the space, are top-notch laid-back guys. They are also great brewers! Between BlueTarp & High Card there is something for everybody. Plenty of inventive styles/flavors, without the try hard vibe you may experience at other places. I am obsessed with Bloodmoon, their beet beer. They are dog friendly, kid friendly, host music shows, art markets, and let girl scouts sell their cookies. Can't get much more welcoming.
I had the Italian pilsner and thought it was good but not great. My wife had the apple cider and it was excellent. The bourbon finish added an extra kick. We also sampled one called "white queen" I think. The chocolate notes combined with the spicy finish were a pleasant surprise. This would be a good dessert beer after an autumn bon fire. Definitely recommend trying it. The owner was very cool.
Giving it four stars for the quality of the beer and the friendliness of the staff. However this place is rather depressing inside apparently due to COVID fear. There is limited seating outside and the man working on Sunday was very attentive to the guests putting up a table for someone, moving the TV so everyone could see, and being friendly. I hope they can open up the inside soon because it looks like a great space they could utilize better.
Me and the missus both both ordered the Tucker IPA - took one sip, looked at each other and in tandem said “this is bad”. There was a metallic aftertaste and it was just funky- and not in a good way (you know, ‘dank’) we were being polite and didn’t return the beer. They need to work on their standard IPA form. Music at the venue was good - that kept us there.

Very nicely kept place. This is a great place for birding. Dense forest with loop trail around a nice little pond. There are a couple of photo blinds on the property as well. Nice job, Boy Scouts on the raised path. Cool little gem tucked away in Decatur.
Beautiful little easy hiking spot in town. Makes you feel out in the wilds. Some of the trail was washed out due to flooding but all still passable.
Very small little preserve tucked away in a neighborhood. Not much to it, but there's a pond and a little loop you can do. Paths kind of mix but luckily it's small enough to not get turned around.
Very nice nature trail. Most of the trails were covered with mulch and boarded with tree trunks/ limbs. Trail used boardwalks adjacent to swamp area and a small lake. Many benched and sitting areas as well as a photo bling located next to the lake. Several area with dedicated garden equipt with bee and butterfly houses. Very quiet with lots to look at from herons and ducks to turtles and squirrels. Limited street parking.
This is a nice spot. I find it easy to take different lengths of trail depending on how much I feel like walking. There are lots of muddy spots after a rain, but I haven't yet found a wooded trail that doesn't have that issue.
Walked a few trails and branching paths all in under an hour and nearly all at the same incline on easy to walk well maintained paths. Very relaxing and with wide trails so it might be great for the entire family or a group! Free Parking spots by the entrances and free to enter. A viewing deck for the marshy bits was great. And plenty of seating every so often. I'll definitely stop by here to read.
Nice little pocket park. The outer trail is a loop of about a mile. There will be significant muddy and wet spots after a rain. Bug spray is a must. Parking is along the street, be sure to lock your car. There are sections with boardwalks. Dogs MUST be leashed. Sometimes they have goats 🐐 eating the overgrown areas.
Great small community trail under an hour. Park along street. Well marked trail great nature walk. Saw some chipmunks, cardinal bird. Nice areas to stop and just observe nature relax.

We held our event Empowering Designing Women there in October 2018. James Horton was a wonderful host. He allowed us to utilize his great museum for a simple donation based upon how well our event went. It was a great afternoon. As we leave Georgia for Florida at the end of July, he will be one of the people we fondly remember. Thank you, Mr. Horton!
I absolutely loved my visit! Mr. Horton's collection is wonderful! He is a great tour guide and a wealth of information. I can't wait to go back and take some other folks with me.
This black historic museum is totally underexposed. There's a need for a documentary about this place, it's exhibits and Mr. James C. Horton who personally collected everything on exhibit. My wife and I truly enjoyed our time there and with Mr. Horton knowledge as to each and every exhibit. This museum needs a permanent home for all (young and old) to experience at lest once in their life.
This museum was a much needed escape from the madness of metro Atlanta. Me and my lady were on the way back to NC when something told me that our trip wasn't over. I googled "things to do near me" and this museum showed up, all I can say is that I'm glad God lead me to it, it was an amazing experience. The owner was full of knowledge and wisdom and I left with a reinvigorated desire to get back to my black studies. Please visit this museum and donate, it is very needed!
NewBorn International Foundation is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural organization that helps underprivileged newborns in need. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in DeKalb County. We appreciate Mr. James Horton partnership and collaboration in support of our humanitarian efforts to help newborns in need locally. When I asked Mr Horton about having an event for newborns in need, at the museum, he welcomed the idea with open arms and made sure we had everything we needed to have a successful event. My experience at the museum was phenomenal and Mr. Horton was genuinely kind and very enthusiastic about sharing the African American stories. This is one museum you'll never forget!
Mr. Horton is phenomenal and consistently engaged each time that I visit. It's an amazing place to take your children, visitors, or any audience to learn about history.
I was honored to meet Mr. Horton today. I stumbled upon this establishment as a last-minute Sunday activity. I googled atlanta museums and stumbled upon this place. We learned a lot, took pictures and enjoyed our very knowledgeable tour guide. #highlyrecommend
A beautiful, organic, TRUE historical account of Africans & Africans in America. Mr. Horton was so pleasant & knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the experience!

Such an amazing space!! The windows, lighting, etc. is gorgeous both day and night!! Can't wait to have another excuse to be there!
Not only is the event space absolutely gorgeous—so much so you don’t even really need decorations—but Carrie and Felix were absolutely amazing. The most kind and helpful. Carrie was our contact from the beginning and Felix came to help the day of the wedding. Felix has the best energy and helped my anxiety so much, just full of joy! Carrie is too, and was fantastic about giving me step by steps and making sure I asked the right questions in the middle of bride brain. I would recommend this venue over and over to anyone, no matter the time of day or night, no matter the season. It is Magical. Thank you!! ❤️❤️
My husband and I just had our 85-guest wedding reception at the Solarium (Oct 2025). It was a HUGE success and the lovely people at the Solarium helped make it possible. Carrie was so kind and accommodating, and allowed me to do several walk thrus with my vendors before the event. The day of went extremely smoothly. On top of that, the venue was beautiful for fall and was a perfect and inexpensive venue for our reception. I’d plan it the exact same way! Thank you Carrie and the whole team.
The CUTEST event space to have a party at. Went to a wedding in April 2023, and loved the patio space the couple used for the ceremony. At times it was hard to see and hear everyone inside when toasts were being made due to the pillars, but for an intimate event it’s absolutely perfect. And parking is not hard to find near the venue at all!
The Solarium is a true hidden gem in the heart of Decatur. As a DJ and AV vendor, we've had the pleasure of working multiple events here and can confidently say it’s one of the most thoughtfully designed and vendor-friendly venues around. The aesthetic is beautiful — a seamless blend of historic charm and modern elegance that creates the perfect backdrop for weddings, celebrations, and special events. Load-in is easy, and the layout is ideal for sound and lighting setups without overpowering the space. The onsite team is fantastic — professional, responsive, and always a step ahead in making sure everything runs smoothly. Their hospitality and attention to detail make the experience enjoyable for both clients and vendors. We always look forward to working at The Solarium. It’s a venue that truly values collaboration and helps create unforgettable moments for every event.
We celebrated our wedding at The Solarium and it was wonderful. I probably emailed the staff there 3-4 times a week in the last month as we approached the big day, and they were always super responsive. If you’re looking for a laid-back yet beautiful venue, this is the right place for you! Thank you to the team for making our wedding such an enjoyable experience!
This is where my family celebrated our annual family reunion. A good place for family get-togethers.
Very nice place. Plenty of room for small or medium gatherings up to 150 people. The outdoor area is in front of the building. There's limited parking and a fire station across the street. They provide the tables and chairs, there's a double bar area and a warming kitchen. Historic building that used to be Scottish Rite children's hospital.

Pool opening Memorial Day 2026
If your child has a disability this is not the place for them. Particularly if it’s behavioral. The adults here take children’s behavior personally. I’m a single mother that chose this program because it’s inexpensive compared to the programs in the area and its in the community he’s growing up in. He is 7 and has a diagnosed behavioral disability which I verbally made every adult aware of when I noticed they weren’t handling him properly. They would suspend my child every week because they simply didn’t want him there. I realized other children involved in his infractions weren’t punished at all just my child. They literally suspended him for “horseplay” once. Adults have lied in that paperwork and then recanted when I had further questions. They’ve built up a paper trail on my child and have yet to consider his disability at all. When he had issues they completely ignored him because he was a less desirable child to deal with. Moved him around to other classes, etc. There is nowhere to voice these concerns so I heed this warning to parents of little black children with behavioral disabilities. They aren’t equipped for those type of children. Find somewhere else.
The playground is nice, but not as cared for as other playgrounds in the area. The benches were rusty, and it's time to replace the flooring of the playground. The area was calm and quiet. We felt safe.
Very busy place and has a great location
This center is great I put my daughters in the summer camp. The summer camp is awesome they go outside and go on field trips every week. The little kids and older kids are separated and the kids are really nice to each other the only downside is the teachers don't pay attention to the kids. And I'm thinking about putting my daughters in the after-school program
Hidden 46-acre gem of a park. Beautiful trees, new playground, rec center, good tennis and basketball courts with ample parking. So much potential to make this park even better. Great place to walk your dog. Park is underutilized however, and can feel a little lonely and deserted at times.
I have two of my grandchildren in camp here. I love it!!! They're very nice and they really keep up with the children at all times. My kids fuss at me when I pick them up around 3:30 telling me it's to early come back later.

One feels welcome right away! Kayla is one of the many incredible singers that makes one feel in the company of "Angels", at peace and with a calmed heart. Everyone there wants to spend time with you and you are invited to share communion freely at the Lords table without payment or requirement. It brings you to such a peaceful sacred place that you leave the burdens of life behind you. The people there are accepting and confirming of you just as you are.
i’ve gone here all my life the church is litterly my family and james oh my gosh i miss him so so much he taught me to believe in god
Like what I see. After the election, I want to move. Looking for a small country house with a front porch and no HOA'S and plenty of running room for my 2 Chihuahuas. It's just me and my babies. I need a good church and a couple of doctors so I can celebrate my 72nd birthday. My doctors keep me healthy as a horse and I'm an frequent walker. I love to bake and make a mean bread and butter pudding. I use Barcardi light run and it takes me 3 days to whip up this taste of Heaven. If God desires to see me in my own bakery, it will be called Juliana's Confectionaries and Sweets. This is my granddaughter's name and I was blessed to choose her beautiful name.
What a great use of resources. All churches should be as open to the community as First Christian Church of Decatur. First Christian allows for non-profits to utilize the churches Sunday School rooms and extra spaces as offices during the week. The majority of churches have these big huge buildings with little to nothing going on but one to two days a week. Hats off to the church, the pastor and steering committee for flinging open the doors to so many organizations that would otherwise have to spend hundreds of dollars a month in rent. WHY AREN'T MORE CHURCHES DOING THIS? What an absolutely wonderful way to support the community the church is located in.
Welcome Home! That is the reaction one receives entering the circle of these community oriented people. When asked, one learns that a majority of the members here come from many different religious practices, (Catholic, Jewish, Methodist, Episcopalian, etc.) And many tell how they were burned out by "religious blaming". So many times people were made to feel that they "could not" be Chistian, if they had had a divorce, loved same sex, drank, or felt Transgender. The feeling is that you work out your salvation with God! There is no place for blame, God is Love.

Beautiful large farm & barn, part of DeKalb County Parks & Recreation system, with Atlanta Audubon (removing invasive species & planting native ones), Little Creek Horse Park Foundation (supporting entire site; membership & volunteer opportunities!), Stride Ahead Equine Facilitated Therapy & Learning (varied, flexible, & fun volunteer opportunities!!), Atlanta Riding Academy (lessons in hunt seat & jumping), Mark's Riding School (lessons in general equitation & dressage), and Saturday morning meetings of "Pony Crew" club for kids -- all operating at a high level of quality & concientiousness. Strong barn director, assistant director, & staff adhere to best practices for the safety & health of the horses (& safety of the humans, too). Privately owned and school horses are boarded here. Multiple pastures, mostly Bermudagrass (& I think some crabgrass). Hay, feeds, balancers, & supplements, plus winter blanketing, provided to horses according to owners' instructions (& horses' needs). Nice outdoor arena with lots of jump and cavaletti equipment. Well-maintained, large, indoor arena (I think traditional dressage arena size) with soft combination footing. I've ridden horses off and on all my life & am in graduate school in equine science. I took dressage lessons here for 3+ years 30 years ago, resumed 2 years ago, and find it super therapeutic. I also enjoy volunteering for Stride Ahead. The best way to get information is to visit, park your car inside the motion-operated gate, walk to the far barn entrance, and look for a staff member to show you in what area of the barn each organization operates. Go to that area and get phone numbers from posters on the walls. Do NOT feed, give treats to, or touch any horses when you visit because what you think a horse might like could make him or her very sick, plus you never know which horses like to "nip at" or bite your fingers. But DO visit and look at the website! 🥰
Beautiful place. But u can’t pet or feed them. Which is why I only gave 3 stars. However the horses look healthy , clean n happy.
It's really nice to see horses intown. It's really nice that the public is allowed to get close to the fence. I wish the barn were open, but I'm glad they are keeping things safe with COVID. I thought there might be more of a walking trail than we found, but it was still nice and we'll be back.
I love this place. It's very close to my house I love going here whenever I want. There is a small walking area around the farm, where you can go in the evening and enjoy! Recommend!
This is my happy place! It is well kept and beautiful. Every horse I've ridden so far has been fun.
This page is huge! Definitely one of the bigger, and nicest equestrians I've visited in quite some time! Keep up the great work Little Creek!
If you love horses like I do it is a nice place to go. Sometimes they have events for kids like riding horses and if you have available time you can volunteer there. I enjoy going there to walk around.
"nice" a word with imprecise meaning appears way too often in these reviews. please stop with the "nice" to fully express yourselves. thanks.
