Kimball House, located in a former train station built in 1891, is now a stylish eatery and raw bar offering farm-to-table dishes with a French twist. The restaurant is renowned for serving some of the freshest oysters in the city and plans to start farming their own oysters soon. The interior and exterior maintain the energy of motion reminiscent of a transit station, with tiled floors, high ceilings, and tall windows.
From the moment we stepped into Kimball House we knew we were in for a treat. Impecable service, drinks and food.. Our server Bradley was on point. She took great care of us and had great recommendations. First time coming, and will be back again! Highly recommend!

Good place for drinks and snacks. They change the menu often so wait for mains you’d want to try. We had the Hawaiian roll, it came with fresh strawberry preserves which were excellent! Our waiter said the pork belly lettuce wraps was a sleeper item and so glad he recommended them. Really unique and it had pickled strawberries which was nice. Dessert was the dark chocolate tart, it was too bitter for my but my husband loved it. Good amount of searing at the bar if you just want to drinks and snacks

Fancy place for oyster lovers. They have so many different kinds to pick from, each with detailed explanations of their taste profiles. The drinks were good. I got the scallops and they were juicy and very sweet. Definitely on the pricier side. Overall a good dining experience, especially for the seafood lover.
Angel H — Google review
This was our first time here, and WOW, some of the best oysters and steak we’ve had in as long as we can remember. Drinks were great as well. If you’re looking for steak, go for the spinalis, you will NOT be disappointed! We sat outside on the (covered) patio in the rain, and the atmosphere was lovely! Not crowded or loud at all. We will definitely be back

I love this restaurant! Their food is amazing and they have the best cocktails. And you can’t forget they always have fresh oysters. It’s a great place for celebrations.
Ludmila S — Google review
Such a kind, helpful and knowledgeable team! The oysters are so fabulous! I couldn't keep them in my mouth long enough. Don't even get me started on how magnificent the caviar was. I. Would have ordered three!

This is such a beautiful restaurant. We made a reservation last minute and arrived about 5 on a Sunday only to realize we had made the reservation fkr the floor Wednesday. The host was very kind and fixed our reservation and seated us immediately. Parking was slim to none but we found something on the side street. Their cocktails were great. We loved the old fashioned. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and had a wonderful flavor. The trout over blue corn grits was out of the ordinary and delicious. Don't forget to order the rolls. We will be back.
Jessica B — Google review
We ordered a ton of food and while most of it taste really great, I didn’t feel like it was “to die for”. Also parking is not ideal and not validated. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very well done. Our server was very nice and welcoming. We went for our 5 year anniversary, I emailed them before asking if they do anything and never heard back which was a little disappointing. Food Hawaiian Rolls - 5 stars served with a whipped butter and jam that were great French Onion Soup - 4 stars good and full of flavor, enough to split Kale salad - 5 stars the salad had a nice Cesar dressing with fried shallots on top Snapper - 3.5 stars, the fish was cooked to the perfect temp and most of the skin had a good crunch. The beans it’s served on didn’t wow me Duck - 3.5 stars, the Duck was good but the side it was served with didn’t hit the mark for my partner. Fingerling Potatoes - 5 stars, Crispy and delicious with cheese and aioli Mock Tails - 6 stars (out of 5), these were amazing and you can tell they used fresh ginger!

Indian restaurant
Bar
Chai Pani Decatur is a vibrant and casual spot in Atlanta that offers a diverse menu of Indian street snacks, platters, lassis, and draft beers. The colorful space exudes a hip vibe, making it an ideal place to savor the flavors of Indian cuisine.
Whenever I visit Chai Pani in Decatur, it truly feels like home. The setup has such an authentic Indian vibe, and the food is absolutely delicious. I can never control my appetite when I’m here - everything is just too tempting! What’s impressive is that Indian food is cooked and served by Americans, yet the flavors are spot-on and never miss. The staff is always friendly, polite, and welcoming, which adds to the overall great experience. They offer a wide variety of food options along with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Their alcoholic desserts is a must-try! Also, don’t miss out on the Pani Puri - it’s a total winner!!
Prathyusha B — Google review
Came for the lunch buffet right when it opened and had high hopes for this place! The service was friendly and the ambiance is very fun and festive and the food looked legit. However, I wasn't wow'ed by it. It might've just been that day, but the curries weren't all that flavorful or spiced, which is usually what I'm looking forward to with Indian food. The butter chicken is on the sweeter side, which was interesting, but the aloo tikka chaat was pretty good! The hot chai for that day was watery unfortunately. Maybe coming early in day is not the right move, so I'm willing to try it again! Lunch buffet prices (Oct 2025) for weekdays is $17 and for weekends is $21. There's some parking in the back, so when it's not busy it's okay.

My first visit to Chai Pani surely won’t be the last. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience was unforgettable. The service was prompt and incredibly kind, and our waitress offered us a free token to try out the Pani Puri counter for the first time! Plus, the Pani Puri itself was delicious (though sorely lacking in aloo filling)! Every single item ordered was an absolute hit. We immediately adored the Gobi 65, which is dry-seasoned with the perfect spice blend that - I felt - was reminiscent of the “gunpowder” spice blend commonly served with dosa/idli. The Zucchini Uttapam is a celebration of South Indian flavors (with an unconventional twist coming from the zucchini slices), and served alongside the very filling uttapams were the most spot-on-tasting sambar and pointedly spicy coconut chutney. The mint chutney and tamarind chutney that came with the delicious Samosas (off-menu item) were equally delicious. The Basmati Rice was also cooked perfectly and salted so well, acting as the perfect vehicle to pair with any remaining sambar/chutneys from the other dishes. Overall, I know I’m coming back here for the experience, hospitality, and delicious fare. Definitely go with company - it’s a colorful, lively spot with food that’s meant to be shared among the table! (Additional Notes - I’ve also had food that was catered from here, which was just as delicious. The Vada Pav patty is perfectly fried and comes in such pillowy pav; the Chana Masala pairs beautifully with the rice and some raita; the Pickled Slaw complements practically everything. Never a bad dish from this place!)
Shreya R — Google review
Me and my husband were visiting there for the weekend. One of the best Indian food I had since I moved to USA. The pani puri counter was the highlight of the evening. The vadapav was delicious. There are stings both inside and outside. Great ambience and the service was really good. Would love to be again if in the area.
Pushpalata K — Google review
Chai Pani is a Decatur staple and for good reason. Amazing options ranging from Indian street food to more indulgent dishes like butter chicken or saag. The SPDP is a must. We always start out with an order and oftentimes pair that with the Gobi Pepper Fry or the Samosa Chaat. Recently tried the Vada Pav which was spicy and delicious. Also tried the KFC sliders which are a new favorite. Great spot to try Uttapam, their naan is solid, and their bowls like butter chicken are consistently tasty. Chicken Kathi Roll might be my favorite though. Gotta try their cocktails here as well, especially any with some spice!

A very glossy flashy Indian restaurant with an amazing vibe and ambience and to some extent with a decent food menu section but an extremely delicious and tasty food at your disposal. THE FOOD: The menu offers a good amount of Vegetarian items to choose from, but most of the items are pretty standard and usual that exists in most of the Indian restaurants. But every food we ordered was just top notch. The taste, the flavor, the smell and everything was just top notch. We ordered Samosa Chat, Disco Bhel, Kids Cheese Uthappam, Vada Pav and Gulab Jamun. The Samosa Chat and Disco Bhel were amazing to start off with. The VadaPav was great but the Gulab Jamun was something else. The best and the winner. Probably the next best to the one we get at Yellow Chilli. It just melted and tasted amazing! SERVICE & AMBIENCE: The ambience is just wow! Extremely well lit and the vibe was so good. The atmosphere was just perfect for a nice summer evening. The service was quick and fast and Sam (our waiter) was so friendly. But the restaurant sounds noisy all the time. It’s like everyone talking at the same time and you barely can hear the waiter or someone speaking. But that’s ok, and understandable since it’s not a Fine Dining restaurant. BOTTOMLINE: A restaurant that serves good amount of food for the price alongside a very different and high energy surrounding with a flashy colorful environment. Would visit again probably during summers and probably not on a weekend to avoid the crowds and wait times. But an excellent dining experience on the whole. MY PICKS FOR YOU: Disco Bhel, Gulab Jamun, Vada Pav, Sweet Lassi
Kishore B — Google review
INCREDIBLE. it felt like home. I was craving uttapam and this hit the spot. I would prefer it without cheese though. The samosa chaat, and the dahi puri were the stand outs. We took our non indian friends here and they loved it. The pani puri stand outside was so fun and very tasty. Price was reasonable !!! Am counting down the days till I come here again.
Shayona B — Google review
Food was excellent! We ordered Desi salad , kheema pav and ‘Dal of the day’ it was delicious! We sat out on patio and the atmosphere was lovely! The parking might be a squeeze but not a problem compared to the food you’re about to experience. Pauline our server did an awesome job suggesting food and being a fun person; she made the experience even better. We’ll be back.

"The Deer and The Dove" is a fine dining American restaurant located in Decatur, Georgia. It offers a variety of Greek, Italian, and seafood dishes. The restaurant is recommended by Michelin and is known for its high-quality cuisine. With its private dining option, it's also suitable for hosting events. This establishment is part of the top 10 must-visit restaurants in Decatur according to Tripadvisor.
We’ve been twice now to this restaurant in two weeks. Both times we’ve driven 45 minutes in order to come experience this restaurant. The food is absolutely incredible extremely unique and well-thought-out and curated. The service is incredible and the atmosphere is super cool and a beautiful restaurant. Be sure to get the coffee rubbed venison, and the trout is incredible as well. On both occasions, people in our party got the burger and absolutely loved. It said it was one of the best burgers they’ve ever gotten.

$280 for two. The food itself is fine, but the price is too high and the amount of food is rather small. It’s gonna cost a lot if you want to get full (me and my friend weren’t full even though we spent $250+). Taste: food themselves are good. We especially liked the burrata. The bone marrow & snails is a little disappointing because the edible part is really small. Most of the dish is the bread (although the bread tasted good). The squab has a good texture and the beans underneath taste nice. The duck and the hulibut are good but not beyond my expectations. The desserts are average. Service and vibe: the atmosphere is cozy and the servers are nice. The only problem is that the serving speed is really slow, perhaps because the house is packed that night. We waited thirty minutes after we placed our order and the main dishes took another thirty minutes to come. Price: the price is too high for almost every dish. The food is good but either the amount and the taste don’t really match with the price.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. And it was also our first time dining here. Wow we were impressed. The atmosphere was fantastic as well as the service. And OMG the food. Top notch and not your run of the mill restaurant in Decatur. It’s definitely higher end. The dishes come out looking so fancy you almost don’t wanna eat them. But don’t worry we got over that real quick. The first thing we had was the D&D Cured Salumi plate. It was so delicious and almost too much for two people to share. Good problem to have in my book. Next came our main courses. I had the pheasant dish which was absolutely incredible. And my husband had the trout which he said was insanely good. We also enjoyed the two mock tails they had on their menu. Also, very good and wasn’t just juice in a glass. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Overall, it really was a fantastic meal and we will definitely come here again in the future for more date nights. I highly recommend. And if you can sit outside, do it. There was a man playing the sax on the street and it was very enjoyable

Decided to dine here for my 48th birthday dinner. The restaurant had some rave reviews, so I thought this would be an excellent way to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, I think the menu is overrated. Here's why: 1) The Bone Marrow + Snails were amazing. Definitely recommend it due to its richness and FLAVOR. Wow! On the contrary, the focaccia it was served on had the consistency of it being 3 days old. Not good. Since the focaccia was so difficult to cut, we decided to order the Homemade Salted Yeast Rolls. 2) The Homemade Salted Yeast Rolls - get them! And eat it with the Bone Marrow + Snails. Swirl your warm rolls all through that sauce and enjoy it. We certainly did. 3) The Halibut - sure, the fish is fresh, but the sauce underneath it had a strong mayonnaise taste that did NOT compliment the fish. My Mom and I both found it to be off. She didn't care for the taste, but ate it anyway (in disappointment). 4) The Porkchop - holy moly, it was THEEEEEEE toughest porkchop I've everrrrrr had. And that's no exaggeration. I had to send it back because I could barely cut it! And I rarely ever send food back to the kitchen, but this was incredibly overcooked. The next one came out and, to my surprise, was almost as tough as the first one! Also, after looking at the team's online photos, it was the owner Jenn who came to our table to resolve the issue that night. Quite frankly, she was kind of a "See You Next Tuesday" about it if you catch my drift? Listen lady, if you want to be mad at someone, talk to your chefs. Don't make me feel bad for sending an extra, extra, extra well done piece of meat back. Get it right the first time. Note to the restaurant: Take the porkchop off the menu for the sake of your knives and for the customers. It's either A) not that great of a chop that you're ordering from your supplier or B) your chefs are just overcooking them, like a lot. Whatever you do though, don't get rid of that sorghum pork jus the porkchop is served in because that sauce is divine, really. So overall, was it the dining experience that I was hoping for? No, far from it. Just a heads up - if you're going there hoping for a nice, complimentary birthday dessert, it ain't happening. The waiter, very rudely, said to my Mom "We don't do that here." I was taken aback with his tone. In my 11 years of working in the service industry, I would never speak to a customer that way. Ever. I realize this review may be a little harsh, but this was our experience at a restaurant that was apparently recommended by the MICHELIN Guide and was a James Beard Foundation Award Winner. Then again, that was in 2023. Just goes to show you that a lot can happen in 2 years.
Erica S — Google review
Pretty place with rustiv deer-and-dove theme décor and fine service, but overall overpriced for what you get. Dishes look great but don’t quite deliver on flavor. Simple, ethnic vibe — nice experience, just not worth the hype or cost.
Khushboo G — Google review
Best meal I've had in Atlanta. The burrata, venison, and duck were knockout dishes. And don't skip dessert, the creme caramel was complex, rich nutty toasty caramel over creamy flan.
Kevin Z — Google review
Very cozy but not over the top fine dining. The food was excellent in preparation, presentation and flavors. The plates for all dishes were more than adequate servings for my wife and I and we probably ordered one too many. Steak tartar and the burger were my favorites; and I eat around alot of bread now but I like to see bread and have a bit of it if it is served. The cheese plate alone was stellar and that and the burger would have sufficed. I kept it simple but the wife ordered the venison and it too was outstanding. The only thing better than the foodnwas the service and the staff. All this food and wine, with tip, was a reasonable just over $200.00 USD

"There are no two words more harmful in the English language than 'good job'." I came to Deer and Dove twice between 2019 and 2022, and both times I was very impressed. Upon hearing they had won a James Beard award, I was dying to return. So last night, we came for my birthday. We were unimpressed. It made us wonder if the James Beard award - the "good job" - hasn't caused the staff and the kitchen to get a bit too comfortable. When dinner costs $250 for two people, you should never want to leave. Instead, we opted to leave before desert and martinis to go around the corner to a different restaurant for our nightcap. In terms of taste, presentation, and overall experience, this was NOT a $250 meal by any stretch of the imagination. The Beef Cheek contained very little beef, and very MUCH flavorless steamed cabbage. The Octopus was far less tender than I remembered from when I had it twice before. The Yeast Rolls never came because they were out of them, so we had Duck Fat Potatoes instead. They tasted as if they were made in a kitchen that didn't have a grain of salt present. The Rabbit was tender, but overall really didn't blow me away. The Sweetbreads were fine. In total, everything felt *uninspired.* The entrees actually took pretty shockingly long to reach our table for a Tuesday night. The other restaurant where we went for dessert and drinks provided faster, more personable service - even after we warned them we would only be there for a few minutes. Overall, the experience left much to be desired. I guess it goes to show: a restaurant must ALWAYS be on their toes, and on the absolute top of their game. Even after winning awards. Needless to say, I have darkened The Deer and Dove's door for the final time.

Went here last Saturday, the food was amazing! Service was great! Our waiter was very informative about the food and answered any question I had. He made a splendid wine recommendation, food came out fairly quick. Atmosphere was dim but not romantic. A little tight seating but I didn’t mind it as I was too focused on the food. 10/10 my favorite dish was the octopus!

Great experience with a lot of Vegetarian options. Better to reserve before if you do not want to be on the waitlist like us. We waited for 20ish minutes to be seated. However the lovely neighborhood had a lot to explore. Atmosphere: lovely atmosphere with some noise which makes sense with all people there. Service: pretty amazing and super friendly service. Food: I loved the coca con seta but the Berenjenas was a little sour for me even though I love eggplant; The green sauce was great though. Parking: the county tax assessor parking is free at weekends but you need to walk like 6 minutes to there. Seats: both indoor and outdoor seats available.

I love this place! I've been 2x and both times were an awesome experience. My most recent visit, my mom & I were tended to by Jade and they're absolutely lovely and a very attentive server! We ordered the charcuterie board, drinks, plates, and desserts. Everything was delicious and filling. The atmosphere is sexy, but also casual. The ambience is perfect for a date night, drinks @ the bar, or dinner with the fam. Don't skip this place, you will not be disappointed. They have something for everyone and a very intriguing cocktail menu!

Never had a bad meal here. The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere, top notch all around. Tonight we started with the bacon wrapped dates and croquetas, two fan favorites and for good reason. The pork cheek tacos though…so dang good. The salty, tender pork along with the corn, avocado, and lime is one of my favorite bites around. Had the broccolini next which was smoky and delicious, then the beef enchiladas which are absolutely amazing. Perhaps my favorite bite though was the choripan. That chorizo with the heavy paprika flavor and that incredible salsa criolla on top…I could eat a hundred of those in one sitting. Finished with the almond flour tarta which was lovely, their fresh made cheesecake with blueberry compote (a must), and a nice glass of port. Our server, Cameron, was attentive throughout, as was the entire staff. Always a great time to dine here.

I went for a solo dinner. The hostess sat me at a table (rare for a solo diner but so so appreciated). I ordered the patatas bravas, gambas al aijilo and the ravioli de pato. Also got a mocktail. The drink was absolutely delicious! I cannot rave about the food enough. I’ve been to Spain 3 different times and this food was just as good or better than a lot of what i ate there. The dishes reflect different regions of the country beautifully and i will be thinking about that ravioli for a minute. My server was incredible. I will absolutely be here again. 10/10 dining experience.

Overall this is a great restaurant for a nice dinner. The atmosphere is pretty nice and the service is amazing. Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The food was a hit or miss. We had a few different tapas and half of them were really good and the other half were not. Really liked the smoked eggplant dip, roasted carrots and chorizopan. Unfortunately the bistec, croquetas and patatas bravas were not what we were hoping for. The bistec tasted weird in general, almost like the meat was bad. The croquetas were just meh and the patatas bravas were too fried. It’d give it another try because everything on the menu sounded good. It got busy after 730 so make sure you have a reservation

The place is very quiet, I enjoyed all the dishes, the second time I visited them I tried the duck ravioli and I can only say that it was spectacular, the sauce was exquisite, I recommend it in its entirety and I think that the sauce should be incorporated into other preparations. Very juicy empanadas de carba, gambas al ajillo also have a sauce full of flavor. I would recommend this place without a doubt, and I will definitely do another visit.

Pub
Located in Decatur, Brick Store Pub is a popular beer-focused tavern offering casual pub grub like fish 'n' chips. The pub features two bars, including an upstairs Belgian bar, and serves a full menu of gastropub food. It's known for having one of the best beer collections in the country, with a large cellar collection and a manual of vintage beers available for perusal at the bar.
Bartender staff is superb. Brunswick stew amazing. Fish and chips I could eat every day. Every dessert on their menu is worth getting and they have a special every month! Cornbread is worthy of my liver. Love this place and only been there 4 times.

Fantastic beer bar with an interesting old-school atmosphere and a solid food menu. Some of the food (salmon pasta) was a it greasy, but that's the only real complaint. Wait staff was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. Beer menu is among the best in the country. Wish I lived closer.

I LOVED my experience here: food was great, ambiance was cozy and the people were the best! Don't let the "pub" part deter you. I'm not normally a huge fan of a "pub" but the menu looked great and when I stopped a server (Jared) on the patio to ask a few questions before dining here, he was warm and kind and happy to help. I dined at the bar with Jordan and she was so genuinely sweet, caring and happy. Sarah, the manager, runs the place with an ease and bustling joy, you can't help but see the magic in the air. The people love working there and it shows! I also had the pleasure of chatting with the owner for a bit and I can see why they've been successful, he cares for his people. If I were not visiting from out of town, this would become a regular spot of mine for sure! And they just opened up their private event space, how cool! In case it matters: I had the Trout dish, perfectly cooked crispy skin on trout fillet. Lovely puree and arugula citrus salad. YUM! Flourless chocolate cake hit the spot and the "Tittle Pop" popcorn is a yummy snack as well!

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and it was delicious, just what I was looking for. I'm so happy a pub has "healthy" options for food. I travel alone a lot and tend to pick pubs because it is easy to blend in. Most only have fried foods. This was a great find and will come back. Ordered the flowers chocolate cake, never tried before. It is good, thick, and just a bit dry. Maybe a chocolate, raspberry, or caramel sauce drizzle would take it to the next level. Mid-week getaway at the Belgium Bar in the heart of Decatur! Incredible vibes, mouthwatering food rated 10/10, and a perfectly poured Guinness champion!

Honestly it's been me and my wife's favorite date night restaurant for like the past 10 years. It's right at 45 mins away from us but more than worth the drive every time. We've found multiple micro brewery beers that are amazing that were suggested by a very knowledgeable and passionate staff. The other patrons have always been curtious and well mannered. Honestly everything about this place is something to love, I genuinely can't think of a critique. * just a little side note: one Christmas I got my wife some personalized action figure/ dolls made to look like me and her. The plastic case background could also be personalized. I took a photo of the Brick Store as the backdrop. It was a nerdy gift, but she found it cute.

Overall enjoyed lunch here. Walked past and was able to get seated for 2 right away. Our server was punctual and friendly and the decor is cool. We split the biscuit service and it was literally one of the best biscuits I’ve ever had. Perfect. For lunch I had the fish and chips and I would not order again. The breading is thick and reminded me of a corn dog more than typical fish fry. They also didn’t have lemonade or bbq sauce which bummed me out.

Italian restaurant

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
No. 246, also known as Two Four Six, is a popular Italian restaurant located in central Decatur. The restaurant offers a modern space with Italian vintage decor and serves inventive Italian dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The menu features a variety of delicious pasta dishes and wood-fired oven-baked pizzas, along with main courses like half-roasted chicken and Scottish salmon. Chefs Ford Fry and Drew Belline have crafted the menu to showcase authentic flavors using culinary techniques from Italy.
No. 246 is an incredible Italian spot—everything we ordered was delicious, but let me tell you… the cheesy bread stole the show. It was seriously the best thing I have ever tasted! Soft, gooey, and packed with flavor. The rest of the food was top-notch too, and the atmosphere made it a perfect dining experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Took my girlfriend on a date here. We loved it. It’s very casual but the food feels fancy. The atmosphere is very loud, which I didn’t expect from the photos. The tables were also very close together, I could hear everything from the people on their dates to the left and right of me. Otherwise, the walls were pretty and the whole restaurant was decorated very nicely. The food was amazing, I just heard you have to be careful what you order. The cheesy bread apps were amazing. It is a nice place for a date. Only took 1 star off of service because we ordered sparkling water which was $7 for a $1 bottle. And the waiter would come and pour it as often as she could (even if we only took a sip) so she could charge us for multiple bottles and raise the price of the tab.

Visited for my birthday. Definitely recommend reservations. Had a lovely dinner. The atmosphere gives very cozy. In a great location parking is near only 1 min walk. Food was 7.5. Cheesy garlic bread was very salty and kinda burnt at bottom. The meat ball is definitely the star. My table had Chicken Scallopinni was good but side pastas lacked flavor. Waiter Josh was very kind, knowledgeable and made sure to take care of us. Over all it’s a great experience to visit for yourself.

Came her for brunch after church. My absolute favorite thing was the pre-meal snacks! Such a clever and elevated departure to the standard table bread and butter. I'm a foodie who loves variety and having 4 snacks to nibble on before my meal was phenomenal. We ordered the pancake for the table and it was so so good. Fluffy with crispy edges. Not too sweet either. It's memorable and I'd order it again. The entree items all looked delicious and it was hard to choose but I settled on the spaghetti and meatballs. I figured it'd make for good leftovers for dinner. I will preface my opinion that I usually prefer creamed based sauce over tomato based for pastas. With that context, this entree was okay. The pasta was cooked slightly past al dente. You could tell all of the ingredients were fresh, which I appreciated. The two meatballs were huge and reminded me of meatloaf, in taste and texture. Excited to go back and try their cream based pastas. I can always value Italian restaurants that makes their own pasta.

This was our 2nd visit and it was just as good as the first. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server was super attentive and our food came out on time and hot. The noise level was the only issue. It was hard to talk or hear because the noise level was HIGH! I ordered a peach Bellini but I could hardly taste any peach, it was more just Prosecco. We did have to send the espresso martini back because was very bitter, but when it was made again, it came out extremely sweet.
Tina C — Google review
The ambience is really nice, especially outside. I heard good things about the food, but I might have ordered the wrong pasta dish which really lowered my impression. While the some of the appetizers, the ricotta and meatball, were really delicious, others had very small proportions. The fritto misto barely had any calamari and shrimp. My main dish the cacio e pepe lacked flavor and freshness, but my friends liked their main dishes. We ended our night with tiramisu which was pretty good. I hope the food would be better next time I visit.

First time at No. 246 and I can say that was one of the best Italian restaurant I experienced here in Georgia. I got the Bolognese and the pasta was amazing! Our server Adam was so nice and gave me the rundown of the food menu & Wine selection. He made my experience enjoyable and my sister birthday dinner memorable. I’ll definitely come back!

The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Great spot for dates. The only thing i didnt like was that the place itself was pretty small. However, the food made it worth it. The food is really good and authentic. The portions are pretty large so share the Caesar salad if u will. I got the shrimp scampi with a side of pasta. Definitely worth it. Lol my friends got the tiramisu and were blown away by it. They purchased another to go home with.

LEON's Full Service is a trendy restaurant located in a converted gas station in Decatur. It offers a diverse menu with New American cuisine, including small plates like goat cheese peppadews and bacon in a glass, as well as main dishes such as market fish and smoked quarter chicken. The restaurant also features an extensive cocktail selection and a spacious outdoor patio with a bocce ball court. Additionally, they have added gluten-free options to their menu.
One of the best places to come grab food and high quality cocktails crafted by professionals who love their job. My server Khalil went above and beyond to make it a 5 star experience. Would take pics of the drinks but they were here and disappeared in seconds 😉

We were on a business trip and were looking for something local. We were walking through the area and Leon’s looked like a friendly and inviting establishment, so wandered in. I’m so glad we did. From the seater to the wait staff, everyone was welcoming, kind, informative, and helpful. They answered all our questions, pointed us in the right direction for what we would like to eat and their suggestions were perfect. I feel like everyone there really went above and beyond. We were lucky enough to go there twice during our visit. The tofu was AMAZING, the burgers were incredible, and the bacon with peanut butter sauce was delicious. I do hope we can go back one day.

Besides our appetizers coming out before our drinks did on a Wednesday night when it wasn't busy, it was good. The server was excellent. I had a chicken rice bowl that was out of this world! Very tasty! My cocktails were delicious as well. Our appetizers were quite disappointing, though. Calamari was kinda bland. The peppers stuffed with goat cheese were just okay, and I can't even remember what the third one was, which goes to show you not that impressionable. They said they were known for their burgers and my friend got a burger. She said it was really good. Overall, I would go back, I just wouldn't get the same appetizers.

Nice outdoor ambience. The dinner menu is quite small but it offers something for all tastes. We had the steak and trout. Both were good but the trout was overloaded with garlic. We liked that both meals came with a variety of veggies.

Great service, cool spot to sit down and eat. If it’s busy you can always walk around the town while you wait! Food was decent, drinks super good! Charcuterie board was nice but the burger a tad underseasoned - easy fix with a tad manual intervention. Good on it was perfect 👌 definitely give this place a sit

Great outdoor ambience. Plenty of shade. Even though we were seated outdoors, the passing of cars and pedestrians did not hinder our conversation at a medium to low decibel. While we could hear other diners conversing, we could not actively make out what they were discussing. The food and drinks are divine! I had a hibiscus inspired drink that was truly delicious. It was floral and sweet and hot the right spot. I also had the mushroom Swiss burger that was absolutely yummy! I can't say enough about the French fries and the multiple flavors of dipping options offered. Amazing. Perfect for friend meetup, casual dates, family, and most importantly to me, their patio is pup friendly!

Good environment with good food, the staff and customer service is really good, but sometimes went too much to check you in your table more than 3 different employees in a short time range of difference but it's okay the prices are not too crazy and the decoration is so good, they have different ambient rooms to eat indoor and outdoor, I'm full recommended the chicken sandwich 🥪

Yummy food and great service. Blaze was a great server and his recommendations were delicious. He recommended adding shrimp to a popular pasta dish and it was great! I got the half portion but should have gotten the full. Yum! I tried corn chowder for the first time and it was life changing.

We have been coming to Cafe Lily for about two years, and we have always loved it. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, our recent anniversary dinner fell short of expectations. I usually order a half-portion of their pasta, which in the past has included 6–7 ravioli. This time, however, there were only four. I also added the grilled shrimp, which are typically prawn-sized, but instead we received just four medium shrimp for $12. Lastly, although the menu states that the first basket of bread is complimentary, none was brought to our table. I understand that prices have gone up; however, the dining expense felt hard to justify given the portion sizes we received, especially compared to our previous experiences here. I’m not sure if this dinner was just a miss with their portion sizes or if there have been some changes, but even with this experience, Cafe Lily is still one of our favorite spots for celebrating special occasions.

First time visit and the first impressions were great! The staff was so friendly and attentive (A++ to them!). There were so many great menu options that we have to go back to try more. Grilled Tuscan bread (A+) Insalata mista (B) Ravioli di Zucca (A++) Petto di Pollo alla Parmigiana (B) Pinchitos (A+) Lemon-Sponge Custard (A+) for dessert! BONUS: they have great drink specials on weekdays. We went on Tuesday and got to have Vodka/Gin Cocktails for just $5! Can't beat that! We will definitely be back!

The food selections were scrumptious. The ambiance was sunny & happy and everything we wanted for the day. We love the fabulous consistency that Cafe Lily gives! How could we not think of them when planning to share our next fabulous moment together?!

It's been at least 10 years since I've been to Café Lily...shame on me. I don't remember having a better meal anywhere in downtown Decatur. The risotto was cooked perfectly, infused with perfectly seared scallop essence. The calamari presentation was wonderful, continuing to cook on a sear plate at the table. Tuna was a perfect medium/medium rare, and the crab cake, while a bit small, was one of the best I've ever had.

Community Q BBQ in Decatur offers a low-fi space with counter service and lively country decor. The restaurant is known for its succulent ribs served on a large platter, creating an aristocratic dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with the aroma of smoke filling the air as guests enjoy their meals. The menu features smoked meats, sandwiches, sides, salads, and pudding for dessert.
This is a little hole in the wall spot and it was amazing! Hubby and I both ordered their brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and collard greens. The brisket was super tender, the mac was nice and cheesy and the greens were shockingly good! They also had this vinegarette stuff on the tables that when mixed with their BBQ sauce gave the perfect tangy taste to the meet. The staff was very pleasant and our food was ready fast. If you happen to be in the area I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yeah! They are absolutely amazing. The service, the space, the ambiance and atmosphere gives cozy as soon as you walk in. Chicken was tender juicy succulent. Greens aren’t oily. Great texture not soft. The bake Mac & cheese lol definitely a great go to. Baked through al dente indeed. Beautiful people, beautiful place. I will be going back very soon. Thank you guys!!! Shout out to the crew & the establishment.

Loved the BBQ here! The brisket was the star – super tender, packed with flavor, and that smoky taste was just perfect. Honestly, I’d come back just for the brisket. The rest was great too, but that brisket hit different!

Ribs have a wonderful char on top that brings out the flavors of their rub. The bone in chicken is JUICY. Brisket is tender and smokey. All of the sides we tried are pretty good. More cheese in the mac and we can make this place a regular, ours was mostly noodles and butter. The baked beans were tasty and meaty, and could be a meal. Collards were tender and well seasoned. Coleslaw is good but I can do without the onions even though it's not overpowering the slaw. Will return.

Great ribs and brisket! The other meats are good as well, but definitely try the ribs first. We got some Brunswick stew to take home since it was perfect as well. And the service was excellent with some good music in the background.

Stopped in for late lunch after long day of traveling. Ordered the brisket sandwich and potato salad. Brisket was beautiful. Little light on smoke flavor, but near flawless. Well done fellas! Potato salad hit the spot to!

I was craving BBQ and googled a few restaurants before choosing to go with CBBQ. The drive there was 40 minutes and WORTH IT. I got a Rib combo with sliced brisket, mac n cheese, baked beans and banana pudding. My total was $30. The ribs were SPECTACULAR. I already want to go back for a full slab. The brisket was good. The first few slices were tender and seasoned well, but the last three slices were dry. The Mac n cheese is extremely cheesy and creamy. I loved it. The baked beans had a smoky bbq flavor. Never tasted anything like it, but I liked it! The person who took my order was extremely friendly and welcoming. However, I took off a star as my one complaint/issue is the portion size. I ordered the banana pudding and it was $4.50. It was the smallest portion size I’ve seen for a dessert. Maybe 4 spoon fulls. It was the same size of the sides that came with dinner, and I, too, thought they were too small for the amount of money paid. For $30, you’d hope for leftovers, but nope, I ate it all, no crumbs. Great BBQ. Just wish the sides and desserts were larger. I’ll be back for more ribs.

French restaurant
Cafe Alsace is a charming French restaurant in Atlanta that offers an authentic Alsatian dining experience. Since its opening in 1997, this cozy spot has been serving up classic Alsatian fare such as boeuf bourguignon, spaetzle, and flammkuchen. Unlike other French restaurants in the area, Cafe Alsace goes beyond the usual offerings with specialties like beef wellington and coq au vin.
Loved our experience here. This place is small and so busy! Lots of people in and out which made for great people watching. The food was traditional and outstanding. Their onion soup was divine and their tomato soup was almost as good. I loved my Brie sandwich. My husband’s dish (crepe) wasn’t as good as my entree but still very tasty. Their macarons were so freaking good. We ordered the strawberry and chocolate and both were soft and exquisite. Their pecan cookies were similar to sandies but kept their shape much better. It also came with some chocolates that were very good. The creme brulee was excellent albeit cold. The vibe is amazing. We literally felt like we were in a cafe in the middle of France. The family pictures on the walls really made the place feel cozy and warm. The service was awesome. The owner was very pleasant and kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!!!

They have some amazing specials as well as solid menu staples. When you order a lunch they offer you soup or salad and we tried the Butternut Squash with one meal and the French Onion with the other. Both did not disappoint! Prices were reasonable too. I think 2 entrees (1 being a special) that each came with the soup and 2 drinks was all around $45 bucks with tip! If you’re looking for some delicious food in the downtown Decatur area you should pop in!

Can’t beat the cuisine. Anything they serve is amongst the best you’ll ever eat. Exquisite dishes severed beautifully. We’ve never had anything but great food here. The service is great and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We had the special which was rabbit leg over spaetzle and was like coq a vin except with rabbit. Our desert was a grand marnier mousse with a pistachio macaron and was maybe the best desert we’ve ever had. If you’re in the area give this place a chance, we think you’ll love it like we do.

While strolling through the charming streets of Decatur, I discovered a little gem of a French restaurant that instantly transported me back to Europe. It had been quite some time since I’d tasted good pâté since moving to the U.S., but their pâté en baguette was simply magnifique — rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. To top it off, the crème brûlée was perfection — silky smooth with the most satisfying caramelized crust. From the warm, attentive service to the cozy, inviting atmosphere, every detail felt thoughtfully French. Un grand merci for such a lovely experience! 10/10 — I can’t wait to return and enjoy it all over again.

A tiny cute place, very unpretentious for a French restaurant. 12 tables i side plus two outdoors on the sidewalk....that's all. Came on a random Thursday, and every table was occupied. Wonderful for romantic dates be cause of its intimacy. Service was impeccable, not too rushed, not overbearing, and very efficient. The food.....OMG! The Nage de Staint Jaques (it's a mouthful) but basically it's scallop, shrimp, salmon, in Bouillabaisse (read: soup) style, was Out-of-this-world good !!!!!. If I was local I would be ordering that once a week, maybe twice on cold days! Decent, but not huge wine list. Prices are very, very reasonable. My seafood soup was enough for two people and was $25, while down the road, another place was selling ONE octopus tentacles for $28 !!!!! If you are even a little bit predisposed to French cuisine, GO there!

Their extensive menu features a variety of options, including sides like lobster mac 'n' cheese and healthy entrees such as grilled spicy lemon tofu.
Anniversary dinner tonight. Really enjoyed our dining experience. We had the charcuterie board as an appetizer, which was excellent (very nice portion as well). My wife had a Greek salad. She loved it. I had the surf and turf - 6 oz filet and 3 jumbo fried shrimp. So so good! The only thing that didn’t get 5 stars is atmosphere. I think I was expecting a bit more.

This was my first time here and it was amazing! This was a special occasion as I met up with an old friend ❤️Reservation at 5:15pm we were seated promptly. Our server Jerome was very courteous and timely. He was very patient with us and made excellent recommendations. The strawberry cucumber martinis were spot on! The ambiance was perfect. I will definitely be back

Parker’s on Ponce, nestled in the old Mick’s spot in downtown Decatur, has been a family favorite for nearly 20 years, especially for my mom. This underrated gem holds its own against Atlanta heavyweights like Bones, Marcel, McKendrick’s, and Capital Grille, offering exceptional steaks with a cozy, old-school vibe. Parker’s is just not as well known. My prime ribeye was cooked to perfection - juicy, flavorful, and a standout. The kitchen’s creativity shines through with high-quality ingredients and unique dishes, complemented by a solid adult beverage menu and great weekday bar specials (we had half-priced Gin cocktails at our Thursday visit!). The service is a highlight - Danny, our waiter for 17 years, consistently delivers warmth and attentiveness that make every visit special. The Scott family, who own Parker’s, are deeply tied to Decatur’s community, adding a personal touch to this family-run steakhouse. The ambiance, with its fireplaces and live piano, feels both classy and welcoming. One downside: parking can be tricky. Expect to pay $10 for the parking behind the restaurant (not their fault, just downtown Decatur). Still, the experience is worth it. If you’re after top-tier steaks, creative recipes, and stellar service, Parker’s is a must-visit.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that has a bit of everything but truly shines with steak and seafood, Parker’s on Ponce is a must-visit. For appetizers, we enjoyed the Parker’s Caesar, tender grilled octopus (excellent), and salmon potstickers, which my daughter loved. The beignets were also a hit—light, fluffy, and delicious. Our mains were equally impressive. The lump blue crab cakes were flavorful with plenty of fresh crab meat. The choice ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the surf-and-turf featured a generous steak paired with some of the largest shrimp I’ve ever seen. I also tried the daily steak special—don’t recall the exact cut, but it was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Our server, Hodan, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant’s decor was stylish and inviting. We dined indoors, but there’s also outdoor seating. Parking is convenient, with a garage across the street and free street parking after 6 p.m. The mixed drinks were great, the food outstanding, and the overall experience a treat. Parker’s on Ponce gets a solid recommendation from me.

First time visiting and wasn't impressed. Made reservations which upon arrival wasn't immediately honored. The manager then came out and stated it would be 40 to 45 minute before being seating because they didn't have space. It wasnt until he asked the front desk person if I had a reservation did all of a sudden a table was available. Only to be seated in an area where there were several tables available. Strike 1. Once food was ordered it was then brought out and put on some else table, rule is food touches table it doesnt get re-reserved. Strike 2. Once brought over to our table it was over cooked. Strike 3. My waiter Jerome was great. Food was not good and other staff was so so. Not sure I'll be back..

Twain's Brewpub & Billiards is a quintessential American gastropub that perfectly embodies the brewpub experience. With its inviting atmosphere filled with laughter and chatter, it's an ideal spot for families and friends alike. The menu shines with hearty comfort food, featuring generous portions of favorites like poutine, chicken strips, and vegetarian chili. Beer enthusiasts will appreciate the house-brewed tap beers, including delightful options like nut brown ale and American pale ale.
This place was absolutely delicious. I decided to be basic and order their chicken tenders and fries, but there was nothing basic about them at all. The tenders were huge and so crispy. The fries were seasoned perfectly. They make all of their sauces in house, and they make the best honey mustard I have ever had. Don't skip out on dessert, because the German chocolate cake tasted heavenly. Also, this place was playing emo bangers the whole time, and it made my whole experience absolutely perfect. I would definitely return!

We hit Atlanta this year for a mancation, and Twain's was our favorite place to hang for drinks, food and games! Can't say enough nice things about this place. Great ambience (a little bit warehouse, a little bit man cave, and a little bit local bar), freshly prepared food with a very, unique and varied menu, and great, friendly and helpful staff!! There's a charge to play the games but they're totally worth it and they have both homemade craft beers plus the usual brand names and liquor options. Please support this awesome establishment and cheers!!

I would have given a five-star, but many of the menu items are no longer available, so we had to use the paper menu given. For two people and one appetizer, it was a little over $50. Please get the fries. Yum. I had the chicken wrap, very filling. Would have sat outside, but it was too hot. The parking is a bit tight.

A little on the noisy side but not really that bad considering it’s a pub with billiards. However, it was very clean including the restrooms. Customer service was excellent and our server was very attentive and courteous. I was told that the wings were very good and I was somewhat skeptical because I’ve been told that before and been very disappointed. But, these wings were the truth! These wings were made with just the right amount of seasoning and just the right amount of sauce. They were very flavorful and tender and were not dry or overcooked. The wings were all we had. I would definitely come back not only for the wings, but to try other items on their menu. I recommend you checking this place out.

I have too many good things to say about this place to fit it all into one post! The mixed drinks? hilarious and delicious. the food? beautiful presentation and delicious? the ambience? absolutely welcoming! i do wish there were more pool tables, but all in all, i absolutely love the place. will definitely be back in the future! EDIT: Went back again and had an absolutely amazing experience of course. Added more pictures from our second visit!

Visited for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised. The bacon jam was a lot sweeter than anticipated and isn’t something I’d order again, but I appreciate the variety of options. The beer cheese was the perfect comfort pick on a rainy day!

We have been coming here for a few years, but it's been a while since we have been back. It seems like the food quality has fallen off a bit. It may have just been an off night. The pretzels were not pretzels. They were more like a weird sourdough and were hard/overbaked. This used to be one of our favorite spots to eat and the pretzels were a lot better in the past. We have some other minor complaints about other dishes. Still an amazing place to drink/eat/shoot pool, and we will definitely be back. Just can't let this thing slide. Hope to update my review in the future.

Universal Joint Decatur, also known as U-Joint, is a popular neighborhood pub located in Oakhurst Village. Housed in a former gas station, this unique spot offers a cozy bar area with large TVs and a spacious patio for people-watching. The establishment prides itself on being dog-friendly and hosts various events throughout the year, including Trivia Night and Lobster Boil.
Cool spot with 1 of the best burgers in Atlanta. They came through with the thick cut bacon, not that cheap stuff. Was pleasantly surprised how fresh and divine the salad was. Very attentive staff. I didn't know if I could handle the jalapeños on my burger, but my server assured me. Great experience.

Great local bar and eatery. Very casual atmosphere and the menus is pretty standard bar food from tacos to burgers, sandwiches and fish n’ chips. A full drink menus available. Most entrees were in the high teens, so with a drink expect to pay around $20 per person. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. We had shrimp tacos and fish and chips, with a beer and wine. There was a single piece of fish with fries. I would have appreciated a little more fries to fill me up. The batter was substantial, but didn’t take away from the fish. Only issue was I wish the fish and chips came on a plate. The fish was hard to cut in the plastic basket lined with a sheet of restaurants paper and the malt vinegar leaked from the basket.

Best neighborhood restaurant/bar right in the heart of Oakhurst. The staff is amazing and the food never disappoints! They have trivia on Wednesdays and live music often. The patio is my favorite part. Tons of fans to keep you cool in the summer and heaters during the winter. Their patio is dog friendly and they even added a dog menu!! Highly recommend adding this to your regular list of places to eat/drink!

The best trivia around! I really like their format, so we’ve come a few times to play. The service is excellent, and everyone is friendly. Vibes are great, love the outdoor patio seating. Chicken fingers are crispy as heck and their tacos are great. Amazing all around for a fun, relaxing night.

A formula has been on the rise across America. If I were to write a screenplay about the trend, I would title it ‘Fill’er up and Check your fluids!’ Universal Joint is part of that trend, each are built inside old service stations. They’re a little bit gritty. Kinda like you’d expect to see Matthew McConaughey hanging around. They always have plenty of charming, friendly staff to pour a nice cold brew. This trip, we had the extraordinary hummus and pimento cheese starter. For dinner, we jumped into the deep end of the pool, ordering the Crispy Buffalo Chicken sandwich, the Gyro sandwich, and the Brisket Tacos. The Gyro was dry and the least favorite of the trio. The brisket was on point and the buffalo sauce was the right temp. And I mention we ordered tots!? For us, our issue was not service food or atmosphere. It was the 3M spray adhesive like stickiness of the table we were sitting at. Perhaps it’ll keep your napkins from being blown away from a big gust of wind. However, it doesn’t set a wholesome tone. Hey UJ! get out your sander and let’s get these tables back in running condition. It’s an old gas station, this’ll get em back on the road and running on all eight cylinders. Still, highly recommended

I'm not sure what happened to the U Joint but every issue points to poor management. I really hope they figure it out soon as I really miss how good it used to be. Attaching a photo of an order of tater tots we received. U Joint is known for great tater tots. These came out in broken pieces, clumped together and full of grease. In my fifteen years of coming here I've never received a bad order. Maybe a bad day but this experience, on top of the past 10, finally drove me to write a review hoping management is reading this.

Good vibes. Outdoor seating was spacious. Server was nice and helpful. My burger was huge and decent but not the best. Tots were tasty but a little too greasy. Queso was bland but salsa and chips were good. Hubby enjoyed his salmon salad. Would recommend.

Service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and food came in short wait. Food was good, but few beers were out of stock. Only thing we cared was the table. It was sticky and could use good cleaning or refinishing its surface.

Located in the heart of Decatur, The White Bull is a modern rustic restaurant that offers thoughtful New American cuisine. Chef Pat Pascarella leads the culinary team in creating seasonal menus using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's commitment to quality and craftsmanship is evident in its handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and house-cured charcuterie.
We chose this restaurant because spare of the moment and great reviews. Once we arrived we were seated immediately, our waitress Renee was fantastic. Since we were new to the menu, Renee did a great job explaining the menu also giving some great suggestions. Our espresso martinis hit exactly how we wanted it and the food..We had no complaints. Fine dining so that means $$$$$, certainly expensive however food was delicious. We probably will not return because of prices however was a great experience. This restaurant gives me the feeling of that tv show “the bear” after they were established. Food was definitely fun and vibrant. Any suggestions I will have is to lower the prices a bit, other than that I won’t take away from 5 stars because food and decor was fantastic.

Was in town for a conference and this restaurant was recommended by a staff at our hotel. I looked at on yelp and saw all the reviews! Yes we must go there. A quick walk and we arrived, such a cute and welcoming restaurant, we didn’t have a reservation but they seated us promptly. After we told our waitress that it was our first time (I think her name is Kindra? She was amazing!) chef Pat came over and greeted us! You can just feel the love he had for cooking so we knew we were at the right place and in for a treat. We asked for recommendations so we started off with the bread and butter (all made fresh, even the butter). A must! Crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, amazing smell of rosemary and the butter, I have no words. We also got the shrimp, another outstanding dish, and the beets and berries (love loved it). For entree we knew we wanted the black spaghetti, and had asked the chef to surprise for the other two pasta dish, one was the CAPPELLETTI (my favorite pasta dish for this trio) and I don’t remember the 3rd one which was also delicious. For dessert we were told from the other Pat that his wife was the pastry chef and we must order the biscuit and gravy (lemon ice cream with raspberry sauce), the birds and the bees which is a chocolate dessert (chocolate with hazelnut ganache), and the Pavlov’s law. My favorite was the biscuit and gravy, so light and the combination was insane! We had two bottles of wine, everyone was so nice there! Absolutely loved our experience there and had the best food. Highly recommend if your in the area and actually going to stop by tomorrow for a quick dinner before heading to the airport.

This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! The flavor combinations with the perfectly cooked pasta were unique and tasty. I had the short rib pasta with grapes which sounds weird but it worked and was delicious. The key lime pie had just the right amount of tart and sweetness, great was to end our meal. And Brenae was the best server, she was funny and attentive! Highly recommend for a special night on the town.

Wonderful server - thanks Jonathan. Happy hour is not much different than regular hour, just some pastas not on the main menu. Think that was the biggest nit pick. The cacio e Pepe was delicious. As were the arancini. I’m not a fan of paying for bread. They don’t take cash.
Jen G — Google review
Very clean restaurant, great food & the staff was very kind. The fresh bead was amazing and memorable "but", you slice it at the table. The knife did not slice it easily and your hands end up dredged in oil and spices. Maybe management/owners could have the servers slice it at the table? Also, the restaurant was nowhere near capacity, but everyone was seated next to each other. I mean extremely close to where you had to squeeze between tables when getting up. We had no desire to hear conversations from the birthday man and two ladies who we were seated on top of. Suggestions #2, if the restaurant is not at capacity, don't seat patrons next to one another.
HAB — Google review
Took my lady for date night and we got there just in time for happy hour (4-6pm). Charcuterie board and crispy potatoes were divine. The bread and butter with sea salt and rosemary is a must order. We both got the black spaghetti and loved that too; we will be back!
Darrius C — Google review
We enjoyed our dinner at the White Bull. We had the rosemary bread, heirloom tomato salad the two different ragu options they offer. Both pasta dishes were good, but the bread and salad were the highlights! We went on a week day so it was pretty quiet and we were able to get seated right away.

From the moment we walked in the door, we knew. The warm greeting, the cozy ambiance and the energy felt like catching up with friends and family even though it was our first visit. We knew we’d be back. The drink and food menus were thoughtfully creative and inspired even my husband’s rigid palate to be a little daring. Our server, Dan did a wonderful job of explaining the menu, making suggestions and answering questions. What we had: Pomegranate Cucumber mocktails, Arancini, B&B, Black Spaghetti, Gnudi and Tres Leches cake. Everything was fresh and/or house made and was delicious beyond our expectations. I could go on about each item, but you can’t taste words. Just go.

Last time I dined here was prior to Covid and truly forgot about this gem until my birthday came around. Truly amazing food, atmosphere and service. The fried green tomatoes were great (I would add a sauce to it though), the crab bisque and the grouper !!!! YUM! Highlight was the bread pudding and the butterscotch pot. My only complaint is the bread pudding came out with a long piece of hair in it.

A buddy and I decided to hit up Farm Burger for a much-needed break, and it did not disappoint !!! Justice, the guy who took our order, was super friendly and really patient with us. He went through the menu in detail and even came back a few times to check on us after bringing our food. They burgers were fresh, juicy, and tasty!!! The fries were loaded with parmesan cheese and were hot. Loki came to our table several times to check on us as well and was extremely nice. Loki was great too; she noticed little things, like my friend needing a top for his soup to take home. The whole team was just fantastic. This place is definitely my go-to for burgers!

My last visit was not good experience which was reflected in my review. The owner reached out to me via email requesting that I return to try again. He was very professional and friendly. I went back and this time it was excellent! I had a double cheeseburger with a fried egg and grilled onions. The burger was fresh, cooked to my request and juicy! The fries are always good! Thanks to the owner, because excellent customer service nowadays is very hard to get but it means a lot and goes a long way. I highly recommend Farm Burger. True rating - 8.5 out of 10!

I’ve ordered Uber Eats from this Farm Burger many times and it’s usually on point, but this one was disgustingly bad. Stale bun, nasty chicken with the wrong toppings, 4 day old fries with random green things in them. Gross. Threw it in the garbage post haste and went to pickup Grindhouse. Get it together.

No idea about the atmosphere as I ordered Door Dash. Weary of ordering DD, because of a bad previous experience. But I'm with family at Emory. Rating is more like 4.85 stars, only a small ding due to temp of the burger. Otherwise the burger was exactly 💯 % as ordered. Thus the 5 stars for service. Tender, juicy, and flavorful 50/50 bacon burger with fresh jalapeños and pepper jack cheese.

Sometimes I’ll switch it up and get a salad (love their farm salad!). They also change up their menu frequently which I love since I like trying new things. Customer service is also really great! Love this place and would recommend if you are looking to have a good burger with fresh ingredients!

I was there around between 5 pm and 517 pm today Sunday October 5, 2025 picking up a GrubHub order for customer named Michelle K? . Upon entering, I grabbed some paper towels from one of the tables, showed a black male employee with dread locs my phone with the customer's name and order information on the screen, but before I got the order , I told this male employee and the others standing around him that I needed a restroom first, this same male employee said, "I could have given you napkins." I proceeded to restroom telling him it's okay. I pressed the lock button on the door two to three times trying to lock it, but I was in a hurry hoping not to urinate on myself. After I used the restroom, I went over to the sink where the napkins were, but before I could pull my pants up... At this time, that same black male employee came and snatched the restroom door open seeing my naked ass with my pants and underwear down to my ankles.. He just said, "Ouh" And hurried back to the bar /register area where I first saw him upon entering the restaurant. He did not knock. I don't work there and had no idea the restroom door doesn't lock, but he and the other employees must know the door doesn't lock. This is unacceptable. My public, privacy rights have been violated causing me embarrassment and distress, and more. I reported this to GrubHub who said they will reach out to the restaurant.

The restaurant is known for its vibrant outdoor dining area adorned with a larger-than-life Mona Lisa mural, creating a unique and relaxed atmosphere.
We love Raging Burrito & Taco and go here very often. Every time we bring any guest they love the fat burritos and it’s delicious with a great patio vibe in the back. We usually get margaritas that are great but also got some mocktails last time and those were honestly some of the best drinks we’ve had in quite awhile!

The food was pretty good. The burrito was giant just as promised and the marinated tofu was pretty good. Service was quick and they were nice. The only thing I would argue with was the accessibility. I got trapped in the bathroom in my wheel chair. And while I know they can not control the ramp angle outside it was very hard to get up the ramp.

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Decatur. I dash here almost daily, and have never eaten anything. Giving them a try was a very good decision. All of the food was 🔥🔥🔥. The service was quick and attentive 👌🏾. The atmosphere is... well, I got two words; GARDEN PATIO 🤯🔥. Lush greenery with distinctively beautiful flowers outline the scenery as murals of Godzilla and King Kong grace the walls holding humongous burritos. Add in the owner's smooth ass playlist and you have PEAK vibes. You'll almost forget how good the food is... ALMOST. 5 out of 5 all the way around. Highly recommended. No complaints.

Cinco De Mayo dinner for 2 It was Cinco de Mayo, and we threw together a last-minute plan to grab some Mexican food. We made our way down to Decatur to check out Raging Burrito, a place we hadn’t tried before. I’d passed by it a few times but had never stopped in to eat.  We arrived and noticed the shared parking lot that we had actually been to for another nearby restaurant. It was the usual scan-and-pay setups, but the pricing was kinda weird—$7 for 30 minutes or $19 for three hours. No in-between. I went with the $19 options this time.  We walked into the outdoor patio area and were told we could sit wherever we liked. A few tables were open, the layout was relaxed and casual. Our server came by and handed us the drink menu. There weren’t many beer options, so we both went with the Raging Mexican Lager. Not long after, she returned with the food menus. After looking them over, Wifey ordered the Carnitas burrito bowl, and I went for the jerk chicken and pineapple burrito. Our beers arrived shortly after and the food followed surprisingly fast. We both dug in and were pleasantly surprised—everything tasted great, and the portion sizes were just right. After we finished, we walked through the restaurant and realized the front entrance opens directly onto downtown Decatur Square. Like I mentioned, I’d passed this spot before, but this was our first time dining here—and we’ll definitely be coming back. The food was excellent.

Huge portions, 90s vibes, the coolest hidden garden patio, friendly staff, and food that comes out quick no matter how busy they are. This is where all the old school Decatur locals go. Great for vegetarians and vegans. Basically every item on the menu can be made veg. If you order a burrito you WILL have enough food for 2 meals for under $13. Any burrito can be a bowl or salad and they are also huge. To get to the patio go all the way back and find an oasis hidden off the square. I once saw ladies in their 70s get up and start dancing with men in their 30s out there. Just the chillest place with perfect vibes.

We sat at the bar. We were celebrating a milestone and the bartender Joshua was super busy, incredibly nice and extremely attentive to our needs. The tacos were mediocre but my daughter loved her burrito and the chili cheese dip. I loved the salsa and chips , the salsa tasted homemade. My margarita was absolutely spot on .

Stopped here for lunch. Service was great (server remembered the whole order without writing it down). The homemade guacamole was very good! Ordered the baja fish tacos. The fish was thinly pieces of breaded fried fish. I personally didn't care for it. If in town again, I would give it another shot by trying something else. They do have a large patio that looked great but, we ate inside this time.

The restaurant also offers a variety of salsas and chips, with the salsa verde being particularly praised for its bright flavor. While there may be a wait during peak hours, the efficient ordering process helps make it manageable.
The place was pretty busy on a Saturday night but we were still able to get a table. This is an order at the counter and sit down type of place. The woman at the counter was friendly and helped us decide what to get. The food was great! We got enchiladas and the fried chicken taco which was simple but amazing. The beef red sauce was so flavorful. I also ordered a side salad with thousand island dressing which was good but the dressing left a garlic taste in my mouth after. We still overall enjoyed our meal and would return.

Taqueria deal Sol is definitely a local favorite. It is always delicious. The place runs like a well oiled machine, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. There is nothing on this menu that I do not like. I also have the cookbook, and make the fresh salsa all the time for parties. People love it! Their fish tacos have to be the best fish tacos I have ever had. I always compare other places to them. I like to add slaw to my fish tacos. It is so good! The chili and cream sauce are amazing! And everyone loves the chowder. The skinny margarita is the best. It is not a diet margarita, but rather one made with all pure ingredients. So it is just tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Make sure to get your hatch chilis during the season. They are the best! I cannot say enough about how much we love this place!

First time I've been to this location as I like their Inman Park location. I got the Tea Bird and Little Havana sandwiches while my wife got the Tea Bird and the Beast on Yeast, both on gluten free bread. All the sandwiches are awesome. Definitely worth getting two of you're hungry, as they're not huge on their own, but perfect if you're in for some of their beers on tap and just want a nice sized snack sandwich to go with. Outdoor patio was great and it was very nice to have a good meal out in the sun. This is a perfect place for a quick drink or to bring the family for a meal outside. Highly recommend. 💯

Been coming here forever but realized I never wrote a review for it. They serve big “little”sandwiches, you can’t go wrong with the tea bird. It’s cheap but that doesn’t mean lack of quality the cocktails are better than most other late night spots in the area and even most restaurants tbh. As a Chicago girl living in Decatur I always feel very at home here. Staff is chill and friendly as well. Don’t change a thing!

Overall a nice spot to grab a quick lunch in Decatur. The sandwiches are pretty small and quality can vary. The Little Havana sandwich I had was flavorful but the meat was dry. My partner enjoyed her VLT but found the pimento cheese side underwhelming. During their busy time it can be loud but the atmosphere and service very good.

Tried the breakfast burrito and it was delicious but very greasy. Also the burrito is decent size so you will be craving more to eat. For me I was still hungry after I had the burrito. Also based on the price of the burrito I felt like the size is small. Worst thing you have to pay for parking. Iced latte was decent.

The interior is adorned with beautiful cherry wood furnishings, creating a cozy atmosphere for patrons to enjoy their meals. Additionally, the pub features a charming outdoor patio for guests to relish in pleasant weather. With its location in Decatur and a lively event schedule, The Marlay House attracts a vibrant crowd every night of the week.
10/10 recommend! We had our wedding welcome lunch at Marlay House and it was one of the best decisions we made. We worked with the general manager, Michelle, from March to plan for our lunch in August. From the beginning she was so helpful and accommodating to our needs. Their food options fit all of our guests dietary restrictions which was big for us. The day of our lunch the staff was incredible! Everyone was so friendly and kind to us. We felt very taken care of. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was. The pub was a great location especially for our out of town guests staying in Decatur Square. The pub has plenty of parking. Michelle and the team made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying their time. If anyone is looking for a place to host their next event and want amazing food, friendly staff, great location, and good prices - look no further! Photo credits: @frykmanphotography

We came here because we had been craving fish and chips. We definitely made the right choice! The fish and chips and brussel sprouts were so good. We were greeted as soon as we sat down and service was excellent. The beer was cold and the Sangria was great! We will definitely return soon!

Approaching the Marlay House, I noticed they had a small parking lot right next to the restaurant, along with a sign pointing to additional parking in the rear. I quickly found a spot in the side parking lot and headed to the outside seating area where I saw my group of friends. I joined them, and our server quickly came by to check on us.  I reviewed the beer and food menus. The beer selection was okay—about ten options to choose from, including offerings from some local Atlanta breweries. I started with a Three Taverns Night on Ponce IPA. We were chatting it up, and after a while, I started to get hungry. I ordered the grilled mahi tacos and a Creature Comforts Bigger Dreams Hazy IPA as my second beer. The tacos came out pretty quickly, and they were good—went well with the beer, too. A friend of mine ordered the fried fish tacos and really enjoyed them. I walked through the restaurant’s interior, and it was dimly lit, really living up to the Irish pub motif. Everything looked very clean and overall I enjoyed my first visit to Marlay House and would return to try some other items.

My server knows us by our name when we go there. The food is delicious all the time. The grill chicken is to die for also love the lemon dressing on my salad. We are going on Friday for dinner again.

Great place with a nice Irish feel. Staff and service are excellent. British Isle food was very good with nice selection of their signature drinks. Much better parking situation than the restaurants around the Decatur town square. We had a egg breakfast, fish and chips, smoky chicken sandwich and their signature Irish Roast dinner and desert available on Sundays only. This Irish roast dinner was more blackened than an English roast beef dinner with a lot of smoky flavors. Included dessert was out of this world.

I can't say I was thrilled with the food. The interior is a bit gloomy😒, and it's hard to read the menu.

Stopped by Marlay on a beautiful Tuesday evening. The outdoor seating was very popular and accompanied by a group of musicians. There was plenty of indoor seating available as well. Indoor pub decor was cozy. We were excited to see that there was a Tuesday menu special for small / shareable plates and drinks. Altogether, we ordered the fish and chips, pretzel, smoked chicken tacos, and deviled eggs. All were fantastic. Vinegar was on the table to sprinkle on the fish and chips. It was good with just the vinegar, but the tartar sauce was a nice touch as well (almost like a tartar-slaw?). The shredded smoked chicken tacos really surprised us and were so tasty. 10/10 would get again. Overall, great place with plenty of options on the menu. We pass by this place almost everday and it looks lively. We really enjoyed going on a "slower" day.

The Po'Boy Shop & Basement Bar is a vibrant establishment that serves delicious Cajun cuisine, including mouthwatering po' boy sandwiches. This lively hub boasts a cheerful atmosphere and offers various options for dining, such as a cozy dining area on the first floor or an expansive basement bar with a tavern-like ambiance. The bar features numerous TVs, creating a sports bar experience for patrons to enjoy. The service is efficient and attentive, ensuring prompt assistance.
First time visiting after a recommendation from the family. I had the gumbo, red beans & rice, and jambalaya; my wife had a shrimp po-boy and gumbo. Service and atmosphere were very nice as they had a strong New Orleans flavor. The shrimp po-boy was delicious, as were the red beans & rice. The jambalaya was a bit spicy, but damn good! I was torn on taking a blackened grouper po-boy to go. But after the owner urged me to try it, I gave in and grabbed one. 😆 The gumbo was good, but the roux was just a bit thick (it did have okra) and seemed to lack a dash or two of creole seasonings. We were given a sample of the bread pudding; it's the only dessert on the menu. I must say that it's DAMN GOOD! We'll be back!!!
Dana W — Google review
This was our first time here and we like this spot because it has a nice neighborhood chill vibe. Our waitress was completely on point, she didn't rush us and was super informative and friendly. Prices are fair and I liked my poboy (half shrimp half catfish) and his fries were great! The gumbo was pretty good but we thought it needed a little salt. We both will return to play darts or shoot pool and maybe drink from the shooter/shot menu $4 or $5😜! The only disappointment was the little burger, (Peyton did say it was small🤷🏽‍♀️)
Dabid G — Google review
A whole hidden underground late night community downstairs in the basement. Glad to see a restaurant with a kitchen open past 10 pm on a Friday night. I wanted to try the catfish, but I didn't want a large platter and no ability to substitute a side for the slaw. The basket options are limited to only 3 proteins. I wound up getting the blackened catfish tacos, which came with chips & salsa. The chips were fresh and not overly salted. The salsa was a good mild-medium heat. The blackened catfish was great, but wish I had it by itself and without the toppings. I also had the shrimp/corn/andouille sausage chowder. Not sure if it was because it was so late that I got the remainder from the bottom of the pot, but there were maybe 10 kernels of corn, 4 shrimp, and no sausage. It wasn't a thick, creamy chowder. It was more like a watery roux. It did come with a couple packs of crackers. The seating is mainly community high top tables. They have a pool table and a couple dart machines. The servers didn't seem to come around very often and it took a while to flag someone down to get my check. They were polite to interact with when they came by.

One of my favorite duck off spots. This place has good food, and better aesthetics. Basement bars are everything. It's kinda like going behind a secret door. You can stay upstairs and eat, or you can come down the stairs to a well lit room with string lights, long wooden bar tables, pool tables (thank the cosmos), dart boards, a few gas station slot machines, and an arcade game with Ms Pac-Man and Gallagher (bonus points). A local townie bar with a comfortable feel and a touch of nostalgia. Again, the food isn't praiseworthy, but their flagship item (the po' boy) will satisfy you. There's even a lil smokin' section out the back exit downstairs (extra bonus points). Good mixed crowd... no bullshit going on... open 'til 2 AM everyday. Vibes. If they could find a way to make room for live bands or a DJ to play music; it would be just about PERFECT. Give them a try.
Flame G — Google review
This joint has a bit of a "divey" vibe. Nice people, but the music in the kitchen was so loud I couldn't hear myself think 😅. 10/10 the Ferdie poboy was my favorite. Pulled beef gravy, ham, lettuce, tomato, pickle, remoulade. Delicious. 7/10 the fried shrimp poboy was good, but not great. This poboy is usually one of may favorites but the bread was dry, and the bread to shrimp ratio was way off (too much bread to shrimp). 8/10 the duck and andouille sausage gumbo delivered on flavor, but I wish the duck wasn't in fine shreds and still had some texture. Would get this again though! Overall, I'd go back if I was in the area, but not somewhere I'll seek out specifically.

I ate here to try a po'boy for the first time! It was delish, i order the oyster mushroom po'boy. The service was exceptional, i cant remeber my 2 servers name, but we went wednesday around 12:45pm to the basement part. I wasnt a fan of the fries as they were quite thin in my opinion, we werent fans of the gumbo, it had spice but lacked flavor/seasoning. Our server took care of that immediately and switched it out for the jambalaya, once again the service was exceptional. The ambiance was very "homey" chilles vibe. I believe the price is right for the quality and quantity of food. We ordered a purple voodoo beverage which we absolutely loved and got to keep the souvenir cup as well. I will be returning.

Love coming here for the alligator but wish everything wasn't fried. I also think they should have butter to dip the hush puppies in bc their sauce gets tiring when it comes with every part of the meal. Over all a good place, but the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit in.

Buena Gente Cuban Bakery has gained popularity with its iconic pink food truck, but now it's preparing to open a permanent location in August. The bakery is known for serving the best Cuban sandwich in Atlanta, featuring roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard pressed to perfection. In addition to their signature sandwich, they offer traditional Cuban pastries like pastelitos and empanadas as well as desserts such as flan and arroz con leche.
This Cuban bakery captured my heart in an instant. I’ve always loved a good Pastelito and had only had the traditional Cream Cheese & Guava kind in the past. Interestingly, they also had guava-only and CC-only filling options; the warm, flaky, buttery Guava Pastelito was simply overflowing with gooey jam that felt so nourishing to the soul. The fruit’s natural flavors were accentuated by an addictive sweetness, and the jam provided a smooth textural contrast to the crackly puff pastry that it was encased within. The Cortadito - a traditional double-shot of espresso with steamed milk - was absolutely divine and, honestly, a coffee lover’s dream-come-true. Truly, this was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Per others’ recommendation, having it made with real sugar at their suggested level was splendid. I’m also planning to come back to try their Key Lime Pie, Flan, and Tres Leches - coincidentally, three of my all-time favorite desserts. If you’re looking for the best way to start the day, you have to go here!

The food here is beyond amazing! This is also an upscale bakery offering Cake Boss level cakes. The space is small but comfortable, with outdoor seating as well. This well worth the drive. The vibe was so good we sat and ate and drank our Cuban coffee while watching the steady stream of customers come in and pick up their custom cakes, and others come in to grab some pastelitoes and other treats.
Arron G — Google review
Pastries were great, the empanada was amazing and the croquettes too. The cafe con leche both hot and cold were not to my taste, nor was the cuban. The soursop milkshake was good though. They only allow 10 people inside at a time, and no dining inside. There are no chairs outside and the tables are high tops. There was no online ordering available either. For us it wasnt worth the 30 minutes in line or the $50 spent.
Kathryn F — Google review
Finally! A Cuban spot that does pastries. Yes the flavor is good and its fresh. Authentic in my opinion. Price is too high (spent$70.00 plus $5 in tip) but expected when there is not much competition with Cuban pastries or authentic Cuban food in GA. Also they had no seating available this morning and you can’t eat inside but it was well worth the trip. I will be back again!

My go to coffee shop in Decatur is closed on Sundays, so I decided to try this iced latte. It's amazing! Growing up with family from the Caribbean, the flavor was very nostalgic. And no need for additional flavors. The espresso really shines through. Very strong, perfectly sweet. I've only ever had hot cuban coffee so getting it iced was a new experience. I'd gladly stop by again.

I got 2 empanadas: chicken and beef. The beef was ever so slightly sweet but it worked. That thing was amazing! I was had when it was finished. The chicken was good but not as good as the beef imo. I found my new snack spot.

The best tres leches cake I’ve had for sure! On the pricey side, but a good slice of cake nonetheless. The guava and cream cheese pastry is also delicious, but I wouldn’t recommend the beef pastry as much (although it tastes fine too). Overall would recommend for a quick snack!

Nestled in Decatur, GA, Sapori di Napoli Pizzeria & Restaurant is a charming family-run establishment that specializes in authentic Neapolitan cuisine. With its inviting casual atmosphere and a traditional brick oven, this eatery serves up delicious wood-fired pizzas alongside an array of pastas and fresh salads. This restaurant on the outside was a beautiful place to have lunch. Nestled right near Decatur train station. Let's talk about this food...the square item is their version of fried Mac n cheese. Presentation was amazing, tasted like fried Kraft Mac n cheese. The special was the spaghetti and meatballs that were made of veal, beef and lamb. Tasted like Spaghetti'Os and the meatball was not pleasant. The other pasta was a salmon pasta with caramelized red onions. This was more pleasant than the previous 2 dishes, although it could have gone without the onions and maybe add some asparagus, broccoli or spinach. Just my suggestion. Now the best thing we ate was that salad! I would go back just for the salad. No warm bread and no good wine variety. The server seemed to have a bit of an attitude only to come to find out he was the manager.

Last dinner in atl for a while ): A bit sad but overall great experience. The food was solid. The pizza had a good taste to it, cooked well. My favorite part is when the undercarriage has a hint of charcoal but not overpowering and crunchy but soft at the same time. This pizza did that alright. The pasta was alright. A little watery but overall, great flavors and the texture to the pasta was great. I went here with my big. She’s great and overall great atmosphere. I’m sad to leave college but I’ll be back next year. I’m most sad about the people graduating, especially big A. I threw up in his car and he was fine about it. Overall great class and sad to see them leave. But back to the food and restaurant, the service was good. Was not entirely sure what to do at the beginning but we got a seat in the end. Atmosphere was great. The outside was really nice and it was also a nice day out so that helped. My Beli gave it a 7.6 I think which I feel is maybe a bit high. I would give it more like a solid 7.0 round up to four stars. Great place.

Very nice people and great food. We tried everything but the pizza. I am very picky on my eggplant Parmesan. Must be peeled and sliced thin in layers. This is just like Nona’s. Best ever. The lasagna was large and flavorful. Great salad, very large and fresh incredible meatballs perfect texture and flavor. Very nice sauce. Even the meat and cheese board was very well done. Terrific experience. Great job team.

Went here as I saw other reviews about the great gluten free crust! Sadly mine was barely cooked. Onions were raw, and the crust was burnt, quite an odd combo - gluten free food is expensive enough, I like to warn people when it’s not worth it! (Priced at $19 for 10 inch pizza)

Zyka: The Taste Indian Restaurant in Decatur, Georgia is a popular spot known for its simple yet flavorful Indian cuisine. Chef Meherwan Irani has expertly combined authentic Indian flavors with Nukkad Indian Street Food to create a diverse menu featuring halal meats, vegetarian options, and their signature dish, Chicken 65.
We have a group we call Foodies In Atl where we selects country each month and visit that food place and we decided to go try Indian food! This was the perfect spot for that. I also got to connect with the owner of the restaurant and he was AMAZING and so kind to our group. I’d definitely recommend trying out this place. Their samosas were great! There were about 15 of us too!
Yabi D — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) I stopped by Zyka for dinner and overall had a really good experience! I knew it was going to be a great restaurant based on who I saw ordering when I walked in, and it definitely lived up to that first impression. • Chicken Tikka Masala – Fresh, hot, and flavorful. Definitely one of the highlights. • Bhindi Masala – Tasty with great texture, though it had a little more spice than I expected. • Naan & Rice – Both were solid. The naan was soft and fresh, and the rice portion was generous—definitely enough to share. • Mango Lassi – The only miss for me. The flavor leaned artificial and didn’t sit quite right. Service was quick, and everything came out hot. I arrived right after they opened (around 6 p.m.), and by the time I was leaving, the parking lot was completely full. They also have a banquet hall, which probably explains the extra crowd. All in all, it’s a popular spot with good food worth coming back for—just might skip the lassi next time.
Shavone G — Google review
I recommend the vegetable Samosas, flavorful. I also ordered the chicken 65 which actually is tender chicken, but a little spicy. The naan bread is authentic! I definitely will return and try different dishes.
Rose N — Google review
I visited Zyka for the first time after hearing from a friend that it’s the best Indian spot in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I found the food to be pretty average overall. The portions were generous, and the meat was tender enough, but the biryani especially their signature one just lacked that authentic flavor punch I was expecting. At $14.99 for a self-serve plate, it felt underwhelming. I’ve tried over 20 Indian restaurants around Atlanta, and I’d rank this one as solidly middle-of-the-pack, at least when it comes to the biryani. The butter chicken was another letdown; it tasted quite watered down. I went in with high hopes, especially seeing the high review count and solid rating, but there was a real disconnect for me. Maybe it was an off night, or perhaps the place has gone downhill over time who knows? The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly, which was nice. That said, I probably won’t be back. If you’ve got other options in the area, I’d suggest checking those out instead.
Francolin — Google review
I gave it three stars because I expected a full-service experience, but this isn’t that kind of place. If you’re looking for table service, this isn’t the spot. I was also disappointed that the food was served in plastic containers with plastic utensils. The food itself was decent, but overall, I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Hanan B — Google review
I bought the following traditional dishes: Naan, Butter chicken, Tandoori grilled chicken. Food was spicier than my liking. I am Indian but eat Indian food once in a while to fix my craving. Butter chicken did not resemble the original taste. Same with the Tadoori chicken, it seemed like I got the dollar store version! If they purposely made their own take of butter chicken then you can’t call it by the original name. I won’t return, but the prices were so good and promising.

Zyka rules. I love the baby eggplant dish- Baghare Baigan. Really everything there I've eaten is excellent. I try something new every time I go. It's best to get a few dishes and take it home and feast with your Nan(bread) and your wife or you can chill right there in Decatur and eat amongst new friends at Zyka-The Taste.
Hanes T — Google review
Hey all, I visit this place with my family every time I am in Decatur GA. The food is good and the ambiance is nice to sit and dine, I am ok with self service, but when you don’t have table service, they should have more hospitality and courteous service at the counter, the girl working at the counter is very good at serving customers, It’s the guy’s working with glasses the skinny and tall one just does not know how to treat and talk to customers, I ordered a dessert called qubani ka meetha ( Apricot sweet ) after seeing the way it was presented you can clearly see the dessert cup is filled with apricot jelly laid in the bottom of the cup and up top covered with Rabbdi but you can see the apricot jelly visible through the Rabbdi in the center, that’s how you know it’s Qurbani ka Meetha. The one they have is not, So I walked back to him and make sure I have got the right one, but he instead telling me it’s the same one, he is telling how I should eat it. I come from the city of Moghul’s, My city Hyderabad born and raised. I know the delicacy and authenticity of moghuly dishes which I have been eating all my life. Long story short don’t teach a father how to make babies. And answer questions only asked. My dear friends who visit their next time make sure to not deal with this guy wearing GLASSES is very RUDE and Have No Hospitality.

Third time's the charm! The first time we came to this restaurant we weren't able to be seated in a reasonable amount of time. The second time we were seated but sat around for about 30 minutes waiting for our server who ultimately never arrived so we left. We decided to give it one last try today and were impressed! Our server, Aric, was welcoming, polished, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food and drinks were a 10/10 and came out pretty quickly. It was a lovely experience and we're looking forward to the next time.

We stopped by for dessert and had the beignets which were light, fluffy and so good. We also had the bread pudding. It was just right. Not too sweet and very tasty. Service was great and they had a band playing - the Milkshake Quintet. They played a variety of jazz style music. We really enjoyed ourselves. The band is at this location every Wednesday. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the music and dinner the next time.

The food was amazing! Best ceviche I've ever had in my entire life! The service was great. Ambiance was on point! I cannot wait to eat here again.

Disappointed with My Visit to Las Brasas I had a one-time experience at Las Brasas today, and unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I ordered the half chicken, which cost around $20, but it neither looked nor tasted like it was worth the price. The chicken had an off-putting smell and did not taste fresh at all. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt uninviting—almost like stepping into the back end of a kitchen rather than a welcoming dining space. I also noticed staff preparing food without proper hair protection, which raised hygiene concerns. As someone familiar with authentic Peruvian cuisine, I have to say this meal did not reflect the rich flavors and quality that Peruvian food is known for. In my opinion, it did a disservice to the cuisine, and I will not be returning. I wish them the best, but my experience was far from what I expected.

Las Brasas was delicious! They had so many options we could choose from that all sounded great. A but difficult to choose from but I would highly suggest their Pollo Frito. That was our highlight and thought it was delicious. The service was quick and there is parking in the back!

After a seven month wait for the remodeling and expansion to be completed, we are back. Did not disappoint. Best fried and rotisserie chicken in the metro area. Inca Kola also a must.

The Pollo a la Brasa left us satisfied and full. Everything was good, and the family portion is perfect for 3–4 people. The staff is super friendly, even during the busiest times. It does get crowded, so come prepared!

My first time dining at Las Brasas! Food and service was exceptional. Get the calamari with chimi! 💙

I have loved this Decatur staple for years. I even celebrated my 18th birthday here! My favorites include the lamb empanadas, side salad, the chicken arroz chaufa and of course the pollo a la brasas. The serves are all really nice too.

💯 EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT AND RECCOMMEND! we ordered the family meal, 1/2 fried and 1/2 rotisserie chicken. Everything was tender and amazing flavor. Note, it's take out only this month while they are remodeling, but you can sit outside so you can eat it fresh. I think they reopen the dining seating area next month.

Sushi Avenue is a modest Asian eatery known for its sushi, sashimi, and Japanese-style entrees. It's a local favorite with convenient parking and fresh ingredients. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere for a date or outing with friends, with the option of outdoor seating. Customers have praised the steamed shrimp gyoza as an excellent starter and enjoyed the variety of rolls, particularly highlighting the yum yum roll. The service is friendly and efficient, making it a pleasant dining experience overall.
One of the best sushi spots I have been to in a while. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. We ordered a variety of items from the menu and every item was delicious. My only regret was that we didn't get desert. If you're in the area and want sushi, this is the place to go.

Sushi Avenue is our favorite local sushi spot! The fish is always fresh, prices are fair, and the service is great. They don’t have uni, but they have all of my other favorites, so it’s still our go-to.

We came for dinner on a Thursday evening, arriving around 7:25. We were greeted with smiles when we entered. The host offered us seats right away & asked if we wanted a booth or table, we chose a booth. They weren’t super busy, but had a decent crowd. We started with some steamed shrimp gyoza, which were definitely better than a lot I have had. We ordered 5 rolls for the main, all came out within 15 minutes of our order being put in. All of our rolls were so good, the best one in both my & my wife’s opinion was the yum yum roll. I think it’s the crispiness, being that’s it’s flash fried, plus the spicy mayo & eel sauce, it was amazing! Our servers, they team up here, were very nice, super responsive & kept checking on us as we enjoyed our meal. Overall, the entire place was great, I can see why they have been in business for so long & why their reviews are so high, well deserved! If you’re looking for a great sushi spot that has a large variety of rolls, along with ramen & poke, this is your spot! Parking is limited in the front of the restaurant, but there are plenty of parking options in the area

Seriously one of the absolute best sushi experiences I have had in metro ATL. Zen was our server and he was incredible. The best energy ever, as his name suggests! We enjoyed quite a few dishes and everything was delicious: Shrimp Shumai, Fried Oysters, Harumaki (spring rolls) and Edamame were our shared starters. We also had the tuna and salmon poke hand rolls. These are MAGICAL. Then for rolls we had the Clairmont, Bagel, YumYum, Salmon Skin (so good), Salmon roll (add spicy!!), Decatur roll, Spider Roll, Saba Roll (OMG mind blowing salty and ginger combo is top tier) and the eel roll. My little guy had the Sushi Boat for his first sushi experience and he LOVED IT. (We have a sushi fan). He then had mochi ice cream and loves that to!!! And then the 10 herb tea was so good we purchased some to take home. IT'S SO WORTH IT!!! You have GOT to give this place a try!!! You'll see. You will ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

Never a bad experience here. Friendly staff, you can see the sushi being made behind the counter, seldom a wait. I order sushi.
Nate B — Google review
Flawless. I was the patron in the late 90s but haven't been here in about 15 years. It's as good as I remember. The restaurant is cozy and has little romantic pockets where you could snuggle up to a date. The decor and cleanliness is also exceptional. There is a space for larger groups in the back. The service was also a exceptional. Helen, was a perfect host and made pleasant conversation while not intruding. She had that balance of being welcoming and also grateful that you're here to experience her restaurant. The menu is extensive and, fortunately for me, offered lots of options for my dietary restrictions. I don't need soy sauce, so the chef gave me a ramekin of spicy mayo. I had the Decatur roll, Salmon skin roll and a couple pieces of mackerel. For me, sushi is one of those things that you want to feel like everything has been handled with extra attention to detail, it's all fresh, and you'll never have a problem. That really comes across here. I thought that after 25 years, I had just romanticized how good this place is. It really is exceptional.

Found our new sushi spot after our last go to closed down. We loved sushi ave ! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The prices are way more than reasonable. The food was fresh and made to order. All in all I would highly recommend if you're looking for sushi they may just be the best around.

This restaurant was pretty good. It definitely did what it needed to do, so I will give them their props. This is a great place to go to for a cute little date, or even just a small outing with friends. They have outdoor seating, which is not my favorite because of the location being that there are many people walking back-and-forth along the strip, so the indoor seating is a nicer option. The food was good and came out in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely go back!

Ms. Iceys Kitchen & Bar is a vibrant establishment that offers a fusion of Caribbean cuisine and Soulfood, creating a joyful adventure for your taste buds. The restaurant provides classic American Southern food and brunch in modern, industrial interiors with a lively bar area. Named after the owner's grandmother, Ms.
I have to say before I went, I already knew what I wanted to try because I checked out the menu days before. There are really good options to choose from. FIRST OFF, the appetizers were so good. The Mac and cheese, the cornbread and Brussels sprouts were all good. We left no crumbs. My friend got the oxtails and he loved them. I got the "THEE SALAD" topped with shrimp and it was delicious. My other friend got the plantains and Cesar salad and she said it was good. And the drinks were really good. I got the coconut rum punch and my friends got the coconut mojito! To top everything off, our server was great! She had great suggestions and checked on us several times after we received our food!!! I will be going back soon!

Ms. Iceys Kitchen & Bar offers a casual dining experience with a Southern-Caribbean fusion menu. I tried the jerk chicken with rice and peas - the portion was generous and filling. While the food was tasty, it wasn't particularly memorable. The interior has a modern industrial feel, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a decent option for a casual meal.

Met one of my friends here for drinks last night and from the moment we arrived, the hospitality and the customer service was top-tier!!! Cliff was our server and he was so patient with us (we spent so much time talking, he had to keep coming back asking if we were ready to order lol) He was so nice and fun and personable!!! The food was amazing. I had the jerk, chicken, cabbage, and macaroni. And Cliff went out of his way to make sure everything was fresh and up to par! Everything still came out pretty fast! We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely be back for brunch!!

We arrived to the location around 3pm it was empty as we were the only seated customers besides what look like a take out or delivery. Host(or in the booth in the front) a male. Was on his cell phone and back towards us. Ignored us, like it was someone else job to seat us. After a 1 min, I asked can we seat ourselves, which he then turns around and said yes. The atmosphere and environment it self was cool and we were table of 2. Someone put the stickers for the menu on an axis. You have to turn it straight for the menu to read to bring us to the website. The waitress was ok, checked on us frequently after the food came. But Prior We asked for water & lemon. She bought the lemon in one glass this was the worst lemon slices I have ever seen. We had to then use a hands & fork to peel the lemon off the skewer to share. She seemed annoyed when I asked for ice and declined her 3rd inquiry for drinks. The food came out very quickly, see pictures, we ordered steak medium came well done which most restaurants get wrong. Fries weren’t good, strip clubs wings are def not, we didn’t like the taste at all, the waitress said it was popular here. Jerk chicken was a little salty, it was spicy in a good way and cooked well. Mac n cheese had no flavor, I expected better from a Caribbean restaurant. Corn bread was good just a little hard. Trying to cut into it was crispy but soft in the middle, maybe that’s by design. Honestly cornbread was the best tasting item. Maybe this was an off day in the middle of the week. Of course the bill came with automatic gratuity for a party 2. I know that’s the new thing but it’s off putting. Along with inconsistent dining experience, with a $100 tab, with $20 going to gratuity. Place is visually appealing

Went for the first time on a Sunday (had a reservation). The atmosphere was really nice…Dj played some hits from my era (90’s) as well as current hits (although quite loud if you’re trying to have a conversation during dinner). Staff was friendly & courteous although it took some time to get a table & menus once we were seated. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience but when I visit again it will probably be a day other than Sunday.

Our waitress checked on us consistently and made sure we were good. Whatever you do please be sure to get the Blueberry Cornbread.. thank me later!

I don’t throw out 5/5/5 like that but this Caribbean Spot is the spot. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere the very welcoming and inviting, the music is laid back good vibes Caribbean music. The service was very quick they don’t have paper menu that I can see it’s all digital. I ordered the jerk chicken peas n plantains and everything was amazing. Jerk chick had a nice kick and very flavorful as well as great size portion, rice and peas was just like my Haitian 🇭🇹 mums would make it, and plantains wasn’t over cook or over ripe. Only small but very small discrepancy; plantains and rice wasn’t enough for $5 each 😅😅😅😅. Would recommend to any one

The food is just okay. It's decent food if you're super hungry, but it's nothing to write home about. It's not really worth the price. The music is way too loud. You can't even hear the people at your table. The atmosphere is lively though. Friendly and fast customer service.

Mezcalito's Cantina is a vibrant and lively spot with colorful murals and a spacious concrete bar, offering an array of creative Mexican classics and refreshing drinks. This eatery stands out from typical Tex-Mex restaurants by serving an authentic menu alongside delightful sangrias. The addition of a covered patio provides an inviting option for al fresco dining, making it perfect for warm evenings.
Every time I come to this restaurant it's always a vibe!! The atmosphere is very calming with the music and low lights. The drinks never taste weak and the flavors are always mixed well. The food is never too heavy and always comes out hot. The staff is friendly and they never forget a face. On my visit today we were served by Eliza and she was AMAZING. Very nice neighborhood Mexican restaurant. Cool atmosphere and outstanding Mexican dishes. The Chicken tostadas were cooked to perfection and the Taquitos Dorados were outstanding with hints of lime throughout. Jamaica (lavender?) ice tea was a treat.

Elizabeth was our server for an early dinner and the service was fast and helpful. She immediately let us know of the special and she gave her opinion on which margarita to get. I chose the tofu tacos with no jalapeño sauce. As a vegan traveling to ATL for a short time, this restaurant was exactly what I was looking for. The margaritas were fresh made in house amd so good. My parents has the chicken tostadas and the grilled fish tacos. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere felt authentic. Definitely will recommend to my local friends!

My fiancé and I were strolling the neighborhood and decided to grab food from Mezcalito’s….it looked very inviting and once we walked in Elizabeth greeted us and told us to sit anywhere. We went straight for the main course and got the chicken enchiladas and fried chicken mole. If you are a mole lover like me, you have to try it! It has a good depth of flavor and just the right amount of heat on the back end. I tried the black beans that came with my fiancés dish and had to order my own! They were truly a highlight! My fiancé and I cleared our plates! The price points are budget friendly and worth every penny. We will be back!

Mezcalito's Cantina is an excellent Mexican restaurant with a good variety of authentic Mexican options. The queso is fantastic and difficult to stop eating with chips. The veggie enchiladas were delicious and surprisingly quite filling. I would try to veggie chile rellino next time. It was crowded in a Friday night, but the wait was not long especially with outdoor seating available.

With various locations including Downtown Decatur, Piedmont Avenue, Memorial Drive, Brookhaven, Athens, and even two terminals at the Atlanta airport, it's convenient to indulge in their killer burgers wherever you are.
We stopped by for Saturday lunch. The food came out relatively quick. We tried their iconic dirty south fries, grind house style burger. The portion is big. The food is fresh and flavorful. We opted for counter service, they also offer full service upstairs with large screen TVs for game days. Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking around the building.

The burger was excellent even though I asked for no pickles. No biggie, I just took them off. I didn't care too much for the onion rings and my margarita was a little watered down. Alex was our waiter. He was very calm, attentive, and patient with our very large group. I'll definitely be back.

Pretty small burger for the price, but at least they actually put Bleu cheese on enough for flavor and not just decoration. Fries were frozen crinkle cut, but properly cooked and not overseasoned. Tea not overly sweet by Georgia standards, but served warm so you have to water it down with ice. Service was under ten minutes at lunch, but the place was pretty empty.

Absolutely obsessed with this quirky little pizza place!!! The menu is amazing with so many fun flavor combinations, but don’t worry, their classic pies are also delicious. The owners are truly incredible humans & members of the community… And did I mention they have Chess Night On the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month…

Location is great. Atmosphere is great. The pies are not unfortunately. 6.8. It could get into the 7’s but right now it’s just too much dough, to much sauce and too much cheese. It’s a heavy pie. The flavor isn’t bad but it’s just too much of everything. The crust needs more char. There’s just no crunch. Which I assume is by design and some people like softer floppier pie. The closest thing I can compare it to is Mellow Mushroom.

I've been here twice now, once with my fiancé and his sister, and again with a big group of friends and both visits were great! Even with the large group, the food came out quickly. We walked over from another establishment ( Paolino's) after having sub par service and still being hungry despite spending a good bit of money on a meal. I wish we had went to Mojo's before that happened, but finding this gem afterwards was perfect too as everyone was still hungry! The service at Mojo's was amazing and the food was perfect! Our crew enjoyed chess while they waited for the food to cook, and everything came out speedy! We ordered mozzarella sticks and an 18" pizza along with sweet teas and waters. The tea was perfectly sweet ♥️. We will definitely be back next time we are in ATL! 1

Quaint little pizza bar in a small village in Atlanta between Decatur and Kirkwood. The pizza was NY style and well made, tasted good, not out of this world. The service wasn't the best but suspect that's an aspect of a family run business in a small town, that many people don't mind. Maybe if you live here and get to know the people over time it would be more friendly but I wouldn't return as 'an outsider'.

This was my first visit to this tavern and it was nothing short of amazing! We came here specifically for Atlanta burger week and their burger did not disappoint! The cheese was so melty! Looking for a down to earth, old school, earthy comfortable bar in the heart of Decatur.. .. u gots it . Gets a bit loud at times later at night, and still holds on to that friendly family vibe, you don't see anymore in Decatur. Their beguiling beer/tap menu is bout 4 pages long by itself. The friendly informed barkeeps (EMMA & Davey ) are more than happy to guide you thru the choices and give an intelligent recommendation. No joke. I always gets one of their plethora of stouts, with their soup o day, Veggie Empanadas, & the vicious Deviled Eggs / Spicy Fried Pickles. Yum. Locals and regulars are always there and friendly & kind. Easy Parking, lot at TMT. Made a friend at this place.

Recently visited for lunch and was really impressed! It's hard to find good vegetarian/vegan stuff in the area that isn't just some variation of a veggie burger, but at Thinking Man we ordered these really tasty tofu sliders and buffalo cauliflower and both were excellent and came in large portions for cheaper than we've spent elsewhere for lunch. Even at lunch time in the middle of the week, the bartender/server was very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

Found this spot from a quick glance driving by and I'm so glad I stopped in. Best fried pickles around, their wings were crazy good, and the people I was with all loved the food! Great food, good drinks, and fun trivia! Me and my friends came here on a Tuesday for some trivia and had a blast. We got the chicken nachos and bavarian pretzels to share and both were excellent. If we came back, we would definitely order those again. The trivia was fun, but it was pretty slow since it was just one person reading out the questions and calculating the score. 20 questions for trivia ended up being almost 3 hours... :/ Might try somewhere else for trivia next time, but I'm still happy for the experience.

My girlfriend is a Packers fans so we went here to watch the Sunday night game New Years Eve. The staff was great and so were the Packers fans that came in. The food was great, we got fried cheese curds and I got the Southern Living burger, pimento cheese and bacon, so good. The building and the bar itself has a nostalgic feel that I cannot put my finger on, if I lived in the area, this would be my hangout.

I have lived in the area and never tried this place. Thought I’d stop in for dinner with my daughter after reading reviews and looking at the menu on their website. Food seemed reasonable and good from what people said. I ordered the chicken fingers which were listed as $8.95 on their menu on their website yet they are $15 when you get there. Also, it said included a side. I looked at the sides and got Mac n cheese. When I got my bill I was charged $4.50 for Mac n cheese so 3 chicken fingers (which were just fair) plus Mac n cheese side was $19.50. So much for a reasonable dinner! My waiter never even told me that Mac n cheese was an up charge. I would’ve gotten fries had I known I would’ve been paying extra for the Mac. Very disappointed in my overall experience and definitely wouldn’t recommend.

It's been some years since I've been here. Always had a good experience so I decided to come have lunch. Ordered fish and chips and I couldn't eat the fries as they were firm and very greasy. I was charged the full price for the meal, I paid left a small tip and realized why my friends said they had stopped eating there. I HAD THE POUTINE. It was different but very good...but let me tell you about the people and the atmosphere. It felt like I invited all of my neighbors and friends over for food and drinks. So chill and welcoming. I came here after a very busy day. So busy that I forgot to eat-btw, I'm a diabetic. By the time I came in, I was shaking and couldn't get my words straight. The bartender, I'm gonna call her Angel(she had on a rainbow halo), suggested the baked beans as something quick to eat. It was out in seconds and shortly I was feeling better. She peeped over several times to check on me. She eventually came over and personally checked on me. I was going down fast and didn't realize it. I know that was long but, just know if you come here, you're not just eating good but you will be surrounded by good people and good vibes.

The Imperial is a great local pub with patient & kind staff, great food, and an environment where everyone can feel welcome and accepted. It's my favorite place to have a drink or a bite after a hard day. Also for the triviaheads out there, they are one of the hardest places to play trivia in the area on Monday nights.

Took my date here. We both had a great time. The servers were attentive, bar tender was skilled, food was fresh and tasty. The homemade pizza rolls filling could use a little improvement but the concept and portion size were definitely a hit for me. I also had a burger and it didn't disappoint. Nice char outside perfect temperature inside. Good work. Will definitely revisit.

One of my favorite new places in Decatur! The food is excellent and many local beers are on tap all the time. The wait can be long sometimes, but the waitstaff is always very friendly. Would highly recommend!

I came here to get a moment to myself and it was very chill. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and listening to the music. Everyone there was friendly and the service was great. I didn’t eat though because the kitchen was closed, but I do plan to visit again. Also, wine is 50% off on Wednesdays!

Pub
Steinbecks Restaurant is a cozy spot with an old-school vibe and exposed-brick walls, offering creative pub fare and unique beers. It's an under-the-radar local favorite known for its inspired gastropub dishes. The impressive beer list is complemented by a diverse food menu, featuring traditional yet contemporary dishes like their tempura-battered fish and chips with old school tartar sauce. Visitors have praised the delicious food, efficient service, and wholesome neighborhood feel.
A cozy local haunt. We sat at the bar; the staff was friendly. The food came quickly, was presented well, and everything tasted hot and fresh. The wings are absolutely a Must Try. They have a great crunchy texture, and the flavor balances savory and sweet perfectly. So good we didn't take a pic 😂

I went here on 5/11/2025 for the first time. I'm new in the area this is a neighborhood pub or bar. Cool vibe from the music and entertainment on the TV..It took a minute for me to order but it was definitely worth the wait. I had a Guinness beer to sip on and a water until my food came. I got the Shrimp Ceviche with $1.00 extra chips made in house. The entree is delicious. Everything is fresh and good..My pretty nice waitress Remy took care of me..

Atmosphere is great! Food was good but nothing special. We had fish and chips, chicken sandwich and Philly cheese steak. Did not care for the aioli on the cheese steak. Fries were really good - skip the Mac and cheese!

We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday at Steinbecks Restaurant. We had fun. Lily and Luke are new friends we met. Luke was celebrating his MBA🎉🎊🍾. The steak was delicious. I had the chicken sandwich with Brussels sprouts... We enjoyed our meal.

The vibes of a pub mixed with some innovative food options. Came here with the family on a Sunday night and it was warm enough that the outdoor seeing was open. The beer menu is decent with quite a few local options on draft. Make sure to check though as a few were tapped out for us. I had the Smoked Wings and loved the flavor. Just the right amount of spice to give them a kick but not so much you can't enjoy them. They have an entire kids menu as well with quite a nice selection. My kids got the cheeseburger and fish and chips, with the latter being so good I'll be ordering the adult size when I come back.

Short review: For what seems like a small pub, they serve an amazing salmon dish and have overall great service. Definitely expect more options than frozen mozzarella sticks. Long review: The other dishes I have gotten here as a pescatarian have been good but not memorable. This, however, the salmon risotto, is one of the best things I’ve ever had and we have gotten it more than once and it has not missed. Excellent dish, well cooked, full of flavor. Our server was also wonderful and attentive. It does seem like it can take a while for a server to come to the table at times, but our server provided such excellent service and apologized for the wait, so I don’t feel justified in taking off points. In terms of the food selection, as others have mentioned, they don’t offer much (including dessert). They do, however, have a nice beer selection including a tasty stout (Monday stranger danger or something like that). But again, that salmon is so good, I don’t see how I could take off points. The place is pretty small, making it feel a bit claustrophobic for my taste, but they do have outdoor seating. The parking lot is also an interesting gravel/ dirt area for multiple businesses. It might be a bit difficult (though not impossible) for those with accessibility concerns in terms of maneuvering through the parking lot or restaurant, particularly people who use wheelchairs.

Great local place on the Oakhurst square. They have some varied dishes and a great outside seating area. Overall the seating spaces are limited FYI. The outside patio is a great locale if you're looking for warm afternoon sun!

Greek restaurant
Nestled in Decatur, Kafenio Avondale is a delightful Greek café that brings the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean to life. With its airy industrial vibe and inviting patio, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or coffee break. The menu boasts an array of options including all-day breakfast, gyros, wraps, and fresh salads.
Good for a quick bite of Greek food. We ordered 2 salads: Greek salad with chicken, Village salad with gyro meat. We also ordered a gyro platter with rice & side salad, & a chicken platter with potatoes & side salads. All the salads were fresh & delicious with light dressings. The potatoes were a favorite. The chicken was average. The gyro meat was good, thick cuts. The Tzatziki sauce was very good, just need more of it. Love the Arden’s Garden juices. Located in Avondale Estates area.

My first time actually getting food from here to go. Nice restaurant and ambience. They have dessert that will make your mouth water. The gyro is huge and delicious. I got a gyro with fries for dinner and a gyro platter with the salad for lunch at work the following day.

This place have great services and have the best coffee. The food is delicious. The desserts are also tasty. Update: Visited recently and did I missed this so much! I relocated to the other side of town so it’s a bit difficult to visit as frequently as I did in the past. As always, everything was amazing and very delicious. The staff continues to be friendly and kind. You can visit with family and friends. The coffee is GREAT!

My best friend and I have lived in the area for years and were excited to find Kafenio, especially for gyros. Our first visit was great, excellent food and 10/10 customer service, so we planned to return regularly. Unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing. I asked the cashier (a young woman with black hair and hot pink highlights) a few questions about the menu, which she answered politely, just like last time. However, while waiting for my order, I overheard her loudly mocking me to a coworker (another young woman with short jet black hair), saying things like “I know the menu better than anyone,” and “What does the menu say?”, “How are you going to try to tell me what the menu says?”, and other remarks clearly aimed at me. I was less than 10 feet away. As someone who works in food service, I understand customer questions can be repetitive, but I wasn’t being rude or difficult. I simply didn’t know/understand all the options and asked for clarification. Her comments felt uncalled for and made me uncomfortable. At least have the decency to wait until I’m no longer there if you’re going to complain about any customers at all. Kafenio is a great spot with good food and a nice vibe, and I was looking forward to attending their networking events offered on Eventbrite, but after today, I’m reconsidering. I hope management addresses this, so no other customer is made to feel this way.

I love coming here because the food is great (who doesn't like fresh Greek food?), the decor is awesome (you get to see a glimpse into the family history), and the service is friendly. As a matter of fact, the people who work here are not miserable and it shows in the food and service. Oh yeah, they also have alcohol, so you can have a beer with your gyro.
Noriko I — Google review
Came to try after driving past so many times. I stopped in and ordered the standard gyro wrap, which came with a side. I chose the rice pilaf. The portion size was great for the price. FYI, they also do breakfast if youre interested. Service was very hospitable, and the dining area looked cozy. Parking is on the street adjacent, but spots might be minimal. I'll be back for more.

O'Sullivans Irish Pub in Decatur is a top choice for those seeking an authentic Irish pub experience. With daily happy hour deals until 6pm, including specials like 25% off wings on Mondays and a $15 burger and pint deal on Wednesdays, there's something for everyone. Whether you prefer grabbing a seat at the bar or settling in at a table, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make for an enjoyable visit.
This pawsome location transports you across the pond in terms of atmosphere and taste. We had a fish and chips. Which turned out amazing! Fresh juicy and with amazing breading. The staff was incredible getting us what we needed when we needed it. Many wags as we were left full as satisfied

I’ve been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Amy (bartender) is very nice and helpful. I’ve never had their food but the service is amazing and you can tell this is a neighborhood gem. Everyone is welcoming. I highly recommend and will continue to visit.

O’Sullivans is one of those places you just keep coming back to. The food is always amazing — from the crispy fish & chips and creamy Mac and cheese to the creative themed nights. The staff is super friendly, quick, and really on top of everything, making sure you’re taken care of the whole time. The vibe is cozy and relaxed, with a great whiskey selection and rotating craft beers that make it easy to settle in and enjoy. Whether it’s for a quick bite or a fun night out, O’Sullivans never misses.

Best pub in Atlanta. Their Guinness is poured the right way, they always have the big soccer matches on the TVs (or the projector) and usually have the audio on, and the atmosphere on big match days is unrivaled. Great spot to drink before, during, or after a match (we pre-game for Atlanta United matches here and then hop on Marta), but their food is also stellar! Their scotch egg is as good as I’ve had (wife is English so I’ve had plenty), the curry chips are indulgently delicious, the Reuben egg rolls and pretzels are great, and even the beer battered cauliflower is fantastic. Fish and chips and bangers and mash are both stellar, but I’ve also gotta shout out their Reuben and the pub BLT. Always love a good BLT and theirs is excellent.
Pcarruth2 — Google review
Disappointing experience with misleading pricing and poor customer service. This restaurant has long had daily happy hour specials clearly listed on a two-sided chalkboard. Friday has always been fish and chips. That same board, with the prices still written on it, was propped up in the open doorway today, fully visible from our table. I even took a picture of it sitting right there in the entryway, uncovered, not crossed out, not moved out of view from the entrance. When the bill came, we were charged full price. The server said the new management isn’t honoring happy hour specials anymore and claimed that because the sign wasn’t outside, the price didn’t apply. When I asked for the manager, they repeated the same thing and refused to honor the posted price. If you’re no longer offering the specials, take the sign down, or at the very least, don’t leave it prominently displayed where customers can reasonably expect those prices to still be valid. It’s disappointing to see a long-standing, neighborhood spot handle something so basic with so little integrity.

There are no words to describe how great this place is - and I work with words for a living. We've been coming here for a while, appreciating the vibes, excellent food, hospitality, staff, Guinness pours, sports on TV, and more. Each time, we grew to love it more ... so much so that we made it part of our wedding celebration. This past weekend, Josh and I were married just across the square - and the thing people keep talking about perhaps more than anything is O'SULLIVANS! This place took care of us and our crew all week and weekend. Declan is probably the world's best bartender and manager - he assured me days before our wedding that I had enough to worry about, and to take O'Sullivan's off that list. He was so right. O'Sullivan's made my guests feel right at home. We had a rockin' little after party here post-wedding. And the next day, we spent mannnyyyy hours gathering as friends would come and go. They munched on delicious apps (don't miss the curry fries or the wings - oh and the pretzels!), watched all the football games, talked about drinks and life and travel with the staff, and had the best time. We may even forgive Declan for shaking up a bottle of champagne and giving us a surprise celebration outside. To Gareth, Amy, Rich, Caroline, Declan, and many other staffers: From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU. You're stuck with all of us now - we'll be coming back forever, especially for anniversaries. SEE YOU SOON! <3, Janelle aka THE BRIDE.

This was previously known as Mac McGee Irish Pub. We spent a while looking for that as it was recommended by one of the bartenders downtown. We may have gone there at an off time. But it was not at all crowded and very nice to relax and get a drink. The guy who helped us was Irish himself which we liked. It's known for its bourbon and scotch collection and did not disappoint. I don't drink either so I stuck to my Moscow mule which was pretty decent. The Decatur square is a nice place to hang out but does have homeless people as it gets late at night. The train station is right there.

Nestled in the heart of Downtown Decatur, BOHO115 is a delightful gem that has quickly made its mark on the local dining scene. This charming eatery, which proudly identifies as a fish camp and bar, offers an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. Despite its unassuming exterior next to The Iberian Pig, BOHO115 serves up an impressive array of seafood dishes that are anything but ordinary.
This place was amazing. The atmosphere was so adorable, we sat on the top level facing the window to the square. We ordered the oysters, Cabo tacos, and shrimp. The Cabo tacos were the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. 10/10. Service was super friendly and knowledgeable about menu!

In a great location with a casual atmosphere. The crab cake and mahi ceviche were my favorite because they had lots of flavor. The tuna steak, I was expecting more like an ahi tuna, but that was probably an error on my part. It was cooked all the way through and served with a side of mashed potatoes like a real “steak and potatoes” dish. The mashed potatoes were delicious. The lobster taco has a bunch of small pieces of lobster in it. A little less flavorful than we were expecting, we each ordered one, but we still finished the plate. Service was incredibly quick.

The food here is outstanding! We came here on a date, loved the ambience and our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The clam chowder was probably the best, filled with tender chunks of clam and lobster. Quite often, when you get clam chowder, the clams are rubbery. These were so soft. Also loved the mussels in cream sauce, served with buttery slices of baguette (I could have eaten those for days)! And the shrimp and crab fritters were a perfect appetizer. Such a nice restaurant.

VISIT THIS PLACE!! I don't write this often, but this place BLEW US AWAY! Only wish I could give more than 5 stars. Amazing Central and South American hot and cold seafood plates. First, the vibe was great seated outside in front. Service was fast and friendly even during the dinner rush, and the decor fit perfectly with the menu. AND that menu! Wow! Huge selection, inventive dishes and twists on the classics you think you know. I could gush on how awesome the food was for hours. We had chips and dip, cocktail shrimp, several cocktails, and tacos. Everything was very fresh, served hot, and perfect. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail especially, as it is a surprisingly flavorful glass of food! Recommend having chips on hand as the delicious cocktail mix will be eaten to the last drop. Overall, highly recommend this place for date night or impressing adult foodies, but the menu might be wasted on young children. Can't wait to bring friends here, and very happy to see this great restaurant join the Decatur Square.

A beautiful establishment and great customer service/dining experience. My server Mina took great care of me and recommended great items to try. I had the delicious guacamole and salsa with chips along with the Jerk Chicken wings as appetizers. My main course was the grilled halibut on a bed of Spanish rice topped with peppers, onions, and spinach. For dessert, it had the key lime tart. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. I highly recommend and will be back.

This was a spontaneous stop for us for lunch and we were so pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. To start, the margaritas were excellent! Very bright and refreshing. The service was friendly, the ambience was fun, and the seafood was INCREDIBLE. We ordered the beef empanada, tostadas de mariscos, tostadas salvaje del mar, and calamari. Very generous portions with all of the seafood toppings and the whole experience was chef's kiss. Definitely worth the stop and can't wait to be back.

1st visit. Everything was GREAT! It was a Sat at 6pm, decent weather, wasn't crowded. They have both indoor n a small amount of outdoor seating. Our server, ( A 19 y/o African American male, sorry can not recall name) was excellent. The shrimp & crab fritters are a must hv, my Boho margarita was small, but tasty & my entree, the Alambre specialty tacos ( grilled shrimp, bacon, guacamole & cilantro) were delish. I will definitely return & recommend.

Fine local specialty grocery store with a coffee bar and a little deli shop. Pretty small with a nice selection of premium gods. Offerings include everything from wine and olive oil to prepared foods. Prices were pretty standard for coffee and a very nice sandwich in the deli….the grocery items were “Decatur priced”. Nice staff and unlike most places in Decatur there were 3 free, 15 minute, parking spots out front.

Located at the intersection of Little Five Points and Candler Park on Dekalb Avenue, Fox Bros Bar-B-Q is a renowned BBQ spot in Atlanta. Founded by Texan brothers Jonathan and Justin Fox, this eatery offers slow-roast ribs, pulled pork, and Southern sides in a casual setting with a patio. Their style of BBQ blends Texas influences with a southern touch.
What an amazing place to eat smoked and grilled food. Everything is well cooked and served in time. The service is fenomenal. There is in and outdoor seating enough for large groups. I would recommend inside. If you are in this area, you should come and try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Found a super popular spot nearby that serves fried chicken & BBQ 🍗🔥 The place gets packed fast! I had my eyes on the Smoked Chicken, but sadly it was already sold out 😢 So I went for the Classic Combo (2 meats & 2 sides) instead. I picked two Beef Briskets — one lean and one fatty. The French guy sitting next to me highly recommended the fatty cut, and wow… he was right. It literally melts in your mouth 🤤✨ The sauces were just okay, but honestly, the brisket was already flavorful enough without them. For sides, I chose Potato Salad 🥔 and Mac & Cheese 🧀. The potato salad was hearty and filling, while the mac & cheese was absolutely delicious — creamy, cheesy, and comforting in every bite 😍 Overall, super satisfied! Next time, I’ll definitely come earlier to finally try that Smoked Chicken 🙌

Love this place. Weve come here for over 10 yrs. Haven't been in few yrs since its a far drive. But we popped in last night & its still great. The brisket is definitely my favorite. Gotta always get the 1/2 & 1/2 fried jalapeño & pickles app. We thought we would have to wait 30min. But was lucky & immediately got a table for 2. Still great all this time.

Always 5 stars! My go-to is the Fox Bros burger and tots, but I've tried almost everything on the menu over the years- everything is flavorful and made with love. The food is served hot and portions are generous- I always leave with leftovers. In the 15+ years I've been a customer (DeKalb Ave location), I've never had a bad experience with the food or service. I recommend the chicken fried ribs as an appetizer- they never disappoint. Love Fox Bros!

The General Muir is a contemporary upscale Jewish deli that brings a taste of New York to the South. Located in Toco Hills, it offers classic dishes like latkes, pastrami hash, and bagels with lox. The restaurant's name pays homage to the refugee transport ship that brought one of the co-owners' family to America after WWII.
The food was delicious, and the service was amazing--our server, Sosa, was an absolute sweetheart and took great care of us! We had the roast chicken, NY strip steak, and strawberry mascarpone cheese cake. All of it was great, and we also got some cookies and matzah ball soup to-go so we could try them later. By the end of the meal, we were already talking about coming back next week to try more things on the menu. Looking forward to it!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant forever because there is so much hype and they got Michelin recognition. My food was like a 3.5. The food came out quickly. I had the East Side Platter and the Nova and Gravalox were wonderfully not overly salted. I didn't really care for the Smoked Trout Spead and I've had several smoked fish spreads. The biggest issue was my bagels. They didn't taste fresh or amazing. I was expecting really great bagels from a Jewish Restaurant with a Michelin Recommendation. My service was woefully lacking and staffing was not understaffed. My server basically went missing and I had to ask another server for bill. Ambiance was top notch. I might return and try the Rye Bread and Reuben.
Mia C — Google review
This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Atlanta. Sometimes service can be a little slow when they are busy, but that is to be expected since they are really popular. Their coffees are pretty good and I also get a cookie to pair with it. Their brunch entrees are all hits! I recommend the fish and potatoes, the general, and the smoked hash. Overall, a great brunch spot that we keep in the rotation.

I had two lunches and ate at the bar. The place is beautiful and the servers friendly and helpful - my fountain sparkling water glass was refilled constantly. Coffee was great. Chopped liver was perfect, Reuben and Tuna sandwiches were also terrific, pickles were crisp, and coleslaw seasoned very delicately (not too sour or too sweet which commonly happens) which worked very well. I’d definitely return!!!
Naftali K — Google review
Great brunch or lunch spot. Absolutely top bread and bagels. We usually get the bagels as a go-to. But got the mushroom and grits, which had an umami truffle taste to it without being overbearing. The coffee and cocktail drinks are also freshly made with their barista.

Great spot with amazing sandwiches, matzah ball soup, pastries, bagels, and really everything on the menu. Their Reuben is go-to with that delicious pastrami, sauerkraut, melted cheese, and fresh baked rye. The Pastrami & Egg is a close second though. Their everything bagels are so garlicky and delicious. The Chicken Club is another favorite, and you gotta grab a few Black and White cookies on your way out. Theirs are as good as it gets. Lovely coffees as well and of course, fantastic gravlax. The General Muir is always a great spot!

Pretty solid Jewish style food. They have a shellfish/ pork free kitchen but the restaurant is not kosher. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was a 3 course meal which was pretty cool. As for the rest of the party they got salmon, and a burger which they enjoyed. The "truffle fries" needs some work. they could use a little but more cheese and garnish, they were kinda dry. For the desserts the cheesecake was incredible and huge and the tiramisu was good and a decent size portion. The ambience feels very classic NYC. I have to come back for their bakery items and breakfast.

We asked The General Muir to cater our wedding and would recommend them to any and everyone. Brandy and team were so incredible to work with and made life so easy. People said it was the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding, and they even saved us a black and white cookie. Thanks for making our big day that much better!

Bar
Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Gunshow, located in Atlanta, is a unique dining experience created by celebrity chef Kevin Gillespie. The restaurant's concept combines elements of Chinese dim sum and Brazilian churrascaria, offering small plates like Japanese bacon-and-shrimp pancakes and Caribbean red snapper crudo. Diners can enjoy quirky cocktails made with inventive ingredients while seated at communal tables. What sets Gunshow apart is the interactive dining experience where multiple chefs prepare their creations and personally present them to diners for selection.
This was one of the wildest dining experiences I have ever had! We took our son here for his 18th Birthday and man what a treat we were in for! If you don’t want a spoiler don’t keep reading, but you get to watch the chefs each cook up high end dim sum type portion dishes. They then come to your table and personally describe the dish to you and ask if you would like 1 or 2 portions if it. You then share the dish with your group. They also have an amazing rolling bar that a bartender brings by your table and makes drinks on the spot for you. I had this amazing Old Fashioned that he did some type of flame over the top of it (see pics)! And to top it off they have a dessert selection they bring by your table at the end and ask if you want to try one, a few or all of those. I have to admit we were not in love with every dish. Some we thought we would like and didn’t and some we thought we would hate and we loved. Examples of this being the Sea Urchin dish was a very weird taste, but they had this ice cream dish with Caviar that was to die for! The menu changes every few weeks so if you go you may have a completely different set of dishes to try, but you WILL have an extremely fun time and have something you are telling and showings pics of to other people and talking about with whoever you go with for a while after! If you fully immerse yourselves you can expect around $100 bucks a person. We feel like we could have reserved a few things and it would have been more around $80 bucks a person which to me is not bad. We definitely plan on returning for a flavor tasting rematch!! Thanks for the amazing night and experience Gunshow!!

This restaurant reminds me of the TV show The Bear—high-quality fine dining delivered in a fresh and unexpected way! All the chefs are hard at work in an open kitchen, each preparing their own special dish. Once it’s ready, they bring it straight to your table and offer it to you. You get to decide if you want it and how many portions you’d like. It’s an amazing system—such a great experience and absolutely phenomenal food! Every single dish was perfectly executed. I highly recommend this restaurant. We’ll definitely be back! Ps.: they customized the menu to say “Happy Birthday Brandon” for us! Great touch!

You come here to sample spectacular amazing beautiful food, not stuff your fat gullet. The staff is fantastically attentive, the sommelier is superb, the cocktails are transcendent, and the food is a blend of creativity, love, respect, and effort. You will spend money, but you will gain significantly more in a palette experience worth every penny.

Gunshow is less a dining hall and more an elaborate theatre, one where food plays the reluctant understudy to spectacle. They charge, mind you, not merely for sustenance but for art. Alas, one’s purse grows lighter whilst one’s stomach remains in tragic suspense often times. I departed the place not unlike a man who has attended a sermon, spiritually stirred, but bodily unfed. It is, in all fairness, an experiment and an expensive one, akin to those alchemists who turn gold into confusion. There is, I daresay, an air of European pretension about the whole affair, as though the roast quail had studied abroad and returned unbearably cultured. Reservations are scarce, of course, for scarcity is the new seasoning. It lends the place an aura of exclusivity, much like a velvet rope before an empty ballroom. I have dined upon finer fare and sipped more honest wine, yet I find myself oddly amused. For truly, no one visits Gunshow in pursuit of mere nourishment. Nay, one goes to witness the grand performance of modern appetite: where hunger and vanity duel with silver forks and the only casualty is one’s wallet. Tragic, delicious folly!

I've done Gunshow for my birthday the past two years now and it has impressed each time. I am both an avid cook and admirer of those who create unique dishes I would never think of, so this is a great place to be inspired. My only complaint, is that both times they forgot it was my birthday (not a huge deal) and someone else at a table near me did not have their birthday forgotten haha. It's almost a tradition now and I'll probably be back next year.

Such a fun concept! Reading the menu we were unsure what sounded good but then the chefs come by and explain their dishes and you gotta have it. One recommended saving the crab omelette to eat with the steak course and we were not disappointed! I think we only passed on one dish the entire night. Creative cocktails, great food and a fun atmosphere. Definitely check this place out!

After living here for seven years, I can confidently say that Gunshow is THE most creative dining experience in the city — a decade‑old “classic” that reinvents itself every time you visit. Located in the vibrant Glenwood Park neighborhood, everything about Gunshow is bold, experimental, and interactive. 1. The concept is bold and interactive: chefs in t-shirts walk up to you, introduce their signature dish, and you decide whether you want it or not. 2. The environment is more like a dining hall than a fine-dining restaurant: guests sit together next to and across from each other along several long tables. 3. They end the experience on a high note. After each group finishes their meal, if you would like, the whole squad will ring a metal bell and gather together with you to take a Polaroid photo in front of the signature Gunshow letters and the iconic open kitchen. We ordered the following to be shared for the evening: 🍈 cantaloupe — vodka, cantaloupe, pink peppercorn, lemon, bubbles 🦪 admiral oyster, bear creek beef, hay 🐟 bramlett trout, chanterelle, whey 🐚 sapelo island clam, hickory hill potato, nc trout roe 🦀 dungeness crab, carolina gold, benton’s bacon 🥩 dry-aged bear creek ribeye, sauce périgueux, eggplant 🌱 moore summer squash, banana pepper, pineapple mint 🌽 arrivato ossetra caviar, bradford corn, 5n egg yolk 🍌 warm old-fashioned banana pudding A few dishes stood out: The ribeye paired with onions and eggplants, served with preserved beauty berries was my favorite by far; the pickled eggplant and berries paired beautifully with the smoky, tender dry-aged ribeye. I didn’t expect the summer squash to a showstopper — the citrusy and freshness brought by the banana pepper and pineapple mint from complemented well with the summer squash grilled over embers. The egg omelette filled with Dungeness crab was the most creative dish on the menu, but it was overly salty, overshadowing the richness and umami flavors from the crab, butter, and bacon dashi. Chef Kevin Gillespie and Chef Cody Chassar are the masterminds behind Gunshow, which opened in 2013. Gunshow celebrates seasonality and local ingredients, sourcing from farms like Bear Creek Farm, Moore Farms, and Sapelo Island. The menu changes regularly, with dishes that are fresh, surprising, and deeply inventive. The name Gunshow is a tribute to Gillespie's family and the time he spent with his father going to actual, literal gunshows. Taste: 8.5 Value: 7.5 Experience: 9.5 Overall: 8.5/10 ——— Atlanta, USA

BoccaLupo is a cozy Italian restaurant located in Atlanta's historic Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. The intimate dining room offers homestyle Italian cuisine and creative cocktails, perfect for sharing with a partner.
Have you ever been wowed by every portion of a dining experience? Have you ever felt like you've known the chef without meeting them? My experience at chef-owned and operated, BoccaLupo, was excellently sensational, and service with Amelia was an absolute pleasure. HAVE to go back. Chef Bruce, you speak my language. The flavors are layered and intentional. It was both an exhibition and a relaxing time. As someone with culinary interests, I'm inspired. I fear there was nothing else to want but to come back and do it all over again. And James Beard voting body, this could be the winner we've been yearning for - down to their farm-to-table creativity genius and culinary sustainability. Love.

Very intimate dining experience with top notch service. From start to finish the wait staff makes sure you are knowledgeable about the dishes, cocktails, and wine and selection. We went for a dinner date so the ambience was dimly lit but the music was jumping. The scene sorta reminded me of the show “The Bear” on Hulu. Every dish was made with intention. The restrooms are clean and spacious and there’s plenty of street parking in this classic neighborhood. I didn’t get a chance to tour the restaurant, but there is a good sized patio as well as a back room area for additional seating. I’d love to come back again in the next couple of months. The menu changes with their seasonal selection.

Wonderful time at dinner with a few friends. Got the tasting menu & a few more dishes that didn't disappoint. Atmosphere, service & timing was on point for sure. Love that everyone that drops off food reviews it instead of dropping off leaving you wondering.

Great atmosphere and wonderful place to share delicious food with friends. Waiters are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The Sothern Chicken Fried Parm was the best and plentiful, while we ended up ordering another Crispy Octopus because it was so delightful. To top it off I enjoyed the Chocolate Torte and Basque Cheesecake because they were tasty without being too sweet.

This was such an excellent meal!! All of the dishes were creative and super flavorful. They also have a small, but very well curated wine list. Service is incredible, every single staff member was friendly and knowledgeable. There are so many more items on the menu I want to try!!

Loved everything about this place! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of pescatarian and vegetarians options but the menu does change a lot (I think they even said every night) so it may not always be the case (the first time my husband went without me and said they only had a fish risotto he was able to have, which, I will add he said is to die for). Either way we will definitely be back!

Unbelievable fresh food and unique experience of Italian flavors. Great vibe of music, art and restaurant with a nice bar on hand. Everything was so good, price per dish is smaller, almost like tapas but bigger, so order a bit more than you think. Desserts were phenomenal

Celebrated our wedding anniversary here, which was our first time and it did not disappoint! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my sleeping toddler (giving us a pillow to make sure she was comfortable). They made every interaction feel personable and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed working there! All the dishes that we had were packed with flavor and left us wanting more! Specifically the crudo with crispy rice and the branzino. You can appreciate the effort that went into the presentation and the way that all the flavors blended together so perfectly. We also enjoyed their cocktails and their cheesecake that we had for dessert. We're already excited to go back and try out even more! 10/10 would definitely recommend!!

Japanese restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Nakato Restaurant is an elegant, long-standing Japanese establishment that offers a variety of traditional dishes such as sushi, washoku, and hibachi items. The restaurant also features an extensive selection of wine and sake to complement the dining experience. Located near South Fork Peachtree Creek and Morningside Nature Reserve in Atlanta, this family-owned restaurant provides an interactive Hibachi Teppanyaki experience along with some of the finest sushi in the city.
I enjoyed this hibachi experience. The cook was nice and friendly and he was patient with our autistic child. He cooked the food really well. I didn’t like that the fried rice was extra from the price of the food and the waitress didn’t mention it. The seating was different as the seats go under the table but yet you’re still sitting on the floor. Gratuity is included. The drinks were strong and tasty lol.

I really enjoyed my experience eating at Nakato. They have free valet parking which was nice and convenient. The hostesses were nice and accommodating. Our waiter was okay not very attentive and waited quite a while to place an order and get help. Didn’t check in on us. The food though was solid and I enjoyed it for a moderately prices sushi meal. Overall positive experience

In town for the weekend visiting family and this was a top hibachi recommendation. Prompt and very courteous customer service by the hostess. The food was good not great. The ginger dressing on the salad was delicious. Not a fan of the soup. The shrimp were cooked good as well as the vegetables. Generous portions of both. The fried rice was average clumpy not hot and fresh and just overall bland. The noodles were a pleasant surprise and were much better than the fried rice even though the rice was the preference. The restaurant has a nice and relaxing ambience. Server was prompt and courteous. Would recommend as well as visit this location again. Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

My go-to place for hibachi! I wasn’t a fan of hibachi growing up, but it has grown on me over the years. This place is a plus because it’s family- owned and you get full experience taking your shoes off and sitting on the floor, if you prefer that experience. I’ve yet to see the renovations, but I am sure it’s beautiful. When you order hibachi it comes with your chose of rice and like butter garlic noodles, I don’t a hibachi spot that does that. I love the sushi here (Ika, Yellowtail, salmon, Amberjack). I am not a big fan of rolls, but I love their my spicy tuna roll and negihama roll. Lunch time I usually do a to-go chicken hibachi bowl, love love love. Would love to try their omakase one day! Pictured: spicy tuna roll and chicken and shrimp hibachi with extra yum yum sauce on the side.

I am writing to share feedback regarding my recent dining experience at this establishment on 10/17/2025 our reservation was for 6:00 Pm Initially, our visit was off to a truly wonderful start. The food served was absolutely outstanding; every dish was prepared to perfection and incredibly delicious. We were particularly impressed by the cook, whose culinary talents shone through, and who also possessed a fantastic, engaging personality that greatly contributed to our enjoyment of the meal. Our waitress, while starting out with excellent and attentive service, unfortunately became less available as the evening progressed. We observed that the restaurant became quite busy, and it appeared she was managing numerous tables simultaneously. While we understand the demands of a busy shift, this did lead to periods where we felt a lack of attentiveness, causing some slight delays in our service. The most significant point of concern arose towards the end of our dining experience. As we were in the process of ordering dessert and a final round of drinks before preparing to depart, we were approached by a manager, Charles, who requested that we move from our reserved table. This request was quite perplexing and frankly, rather disappointing, especially considering we had a reservation for 6:00 PM. We live approximately an hour away from the restaurant and, to our surprise, we were already back home by 7:30 PM. This timeline clearly indicates that we had barely occupied our reserved table, let alone overstayed our welcome. Being asked to relocate while still actively dining left us feeling rushed and unwelcome, which unfortunately overshadowed the otherwise positive aspects of our meal. We had hoped for a more relaxed and uninterrupted dining experience, particularly given the distance we traveled to visit your restaurant. We believe that situations like this could be managed with greater consideration for guests who have made prior arrangements and are still actively enjoying their meal. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback.

I've been going to Nakato since the late 80's. But, my last visit was a real eye opener. Even with reservations the wait was unreasonably long and the waiting area was very crowded. And the most outlandish thing was I felt like I was not at a fine dining restaurant but at Chuck E. Cheese. There were unruly kids running all over the place. It was quite shocking. (I don't have a problem with children. I was a child at one time but it was like a Zoo Farmer opened the pigpen gate.) It is unfortunate that there are not very many choices when it comes to fine hibachi restaurants in the Atlanta area. I've told this story to many people who really didn't care. The food was pretty good but not great. I probably won't be going back anytime soon.
BRAD M — Google review
My sister in law picked this restaurant for our monthly sisters outing. Restaurant was gorgeous. Had a new experience with the seating layout. It appears your sitting on the floor, but there is a space for legs to hang, so its like your sitting on a bleacher but with back support. There are chair options in a different area. Food was great. Had hibachi chicken and shrimp, and tasted the steak which was very tender. Thought the noodles were bland, but you have to eat it with the proteins and vegetables which made sense for the flavor. My sisters in law enjoyed their lychee margaritas. Everything was going great, until we were approached by an employee named Charles that we needed to move to the " lounge area" ( a bench) because of a large party that needed to be seated. I've never experienced this my whole life. Me and my two sisters in law were in mid conversation and catching up; when Charles came over the whole energy changed, and our night felt abruptly over.

They offer various dining options including limited capacity dine-in, takeout, and delivery through popular platforms such as Doordash, UberEats, and Postmates. The restaurant has a welcoming family-oriented ambiance with generous portions of delicious food made from authentic recipes.
Great neighborhood restaurant. We stopped by for lunch. Food was fabulous and plentiful. Nice Greek atmosphere in this larger than expected restaurant. My wife had a mini mushroom pizza and I had the Chicken Tetrazini. We both got a fresh lunch side salad. Service was excellent. Leave some room for a great dessert!!!

Had the privilege of trying Athens pizza for the first time last week when some co workers brought several boxes of their Pepperoni, Cheese and Athens special in celebration of Lab week at the hospital where I work. The Athens special stood out for me with the feta cheese, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and pepper toppings all on each individual slice! I was quite impressed which compelled me to make this review to say a job well done on their part.

Love this restaurant! A gem in a field of ordinary stones! Take time to check out this authentic Greek restaurant. It’s a large facility that’s well-staffed. The pizza is out of this world and other menu items had generous portions! Can’t wait for one of the delicious desserts!

Can't judge atmosphere as I ordered Door Dash. Food arrived in a timely manner and exactly as ordered. Fried mushrooms were warm, but not crispy, they don't travel well. But their taste was good. Pasta held up to al dente and hot for the ride.

We came in about 20 minutes prior to closing, but received excellent service. The food came out fresh from the oven and was delicious! They have more than pizza, and nightly specials. We got the garlic bread with cheese appetizer expecting small pieces of bread. Nope! Unless you eat a lot, this is good appetizer for 4-6 people and it had a gracious amount of cheese. The pizzas were delicious!

Bread & Butterfly is a stylish cafe and bistro that offers French-inspired dishes made with local ingredients. The restaurant serves expertly soft-scrambled eggs, cold-smoked trout, and an array of pastries in a European-style setting. The whimsical Parisian-inspired decor features marble cafe tables, bright green subway-tile walls, and leather barstools.
Just enjoyed a delicious dinner with friends at Bread & Butterfly. It was my first time dining at B&B, we made reservations for dinner and were seated right away. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We started off with the plantain buns, scallops and Haitian pastry. The scallops came in a very tasty curry sauce which we used to dip our buns in. The pastry was filled with a lovely seasoned beef. The chicken was moist and paired so well with the wine reduction sauce. The risotto was filled with herbs. Needless to say we ate it all! Great night out with friends with great food!

Very good food. I had the lamb belly ummm melts in your mouth..just enough char and very flavorful and tender. The pork ribs were delicious and also very tender. The plantain bread was a surprisingly delicious 😋 treat. The chicken was amazing. I cant wait to go back for brunch so I can get more of those famously delicious biscuits. Great job everyone! The Chef Demetrius Brown is a genius and a very nice guy.

Everything was amazing here. The food, the service, and the beautiful interior of the restaurant. I had the best salmon toast I’ve had in my life so far. It had all of my favorite ingredients in it. Also, my friend ordered the steak and eggs which turned out to be way too salty, so we told our server and the manager came out and offered to remake it. We did get it remade and it tasted a lot better. I wish I could come here frequently but sadly I don’t live here. I will recommend my friends to go here if they ever visit Atlanta ☺️

I enjoyed this experience immensely. I was greeted with a friendly face. She was quick with seating us and kept excellent communication with the kitchen and staff. I loved the presentation of the table. The coffee was delicious, well brewed and enjoyable alone. Cream came on the side which I added after trying the coffee itself. I ate the salmon toast; my partner had the aged prosciutto toast. I was amazed by meeting the head chef there on my first visit. Brown was kind and generous. I asked him where to go in the city and he said to come back for dinner. It was the best decision we made while there. The lamb melted like cotton candy. The pork ribs were savory with a little crisp/char on the surface. We returned on our last day in the city to take croissants to go because the buttery croissant was too good to only eat it once. I bought the other two to see if it compared!!

Nice brunch spot close to the Beltline! The mimosas were great and the prices very reasonable. We tried the ham toast, salmon toast, and the omelette—everything was fresh and delicious. My friends and I had a wonderful time, and we’ll definitely be coming back.

So glad I finally made it to this place! As a French person, it’s not easy to find truly high-quality, flavorful French-inspired brunch dishes in Atlanta that don’t just rely on a French-sounding name to justify the price. This spot delivered on all fronts — the food was absolutely delicious (the biscuit is a must-try!), and the cocktails were just as impressive. From the bartender to the hosts and wait staff, everyone was welcoming, kind, and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. What I particularly appreciated, and what might not suit everyone, is that the ambiance felt more adult-focused. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed brunch date or a gathering with friends. I personally prefer a calm atmosphere when I eat, and I loved being able to enjoy a meal without the usual hustle and bustle of a family-focused restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!

First experience: We stopped by their little outside food stand at the Inman Park festival, which had Lamb belly kebabs. My husband tried one and had to spit it out and throw the rest away because it was pretty much all fat. With that said, I do want to come back and try this place for breakfast items. But we definitely cannot recommend the lamb kebabs. 2nd visit: we visited for brunch on. Saturday. Not too long of a wait. Food was okay but very pricey for breakfast items - $68 for 2 people - we had the avocado toast; tomato toast; crunchy potatoes; 1 coffee; peach burrata. The service was pretty good. Decor / ambience good. Didn’t like the peach burrata dish but didn’t realize it was cheese based dish and I’m dairy free, so that was a waste of money. Too bad our server, who we told I WSD DF and GF, didn’t call this out when we ordered it. The gluten free bread was pretty good.

My wife and I had a great experience at bread and butterfly. We sat on the patio facing the street with a view. The food was really good. While they didn’t have bacon, they did do fried hard pancietta which is bacon. My wife didn’t care much for her yogurt and granola, I tried it as well and it’s a little different but not because it was nasty, the flavor collaboration didn’t fit my pallet. I will be back on my next visit to ATL!

Calle Latina is a vibrant restaurant located in Decatur, known for its colorful decor and patio seating. The menu features a diverse selection of Latin American street food, including arepas, tortas, and tacos with various fillings. In addition to traditional dishes like Cuban ropa vieja and Puerto Rican mofongo, the restaurant offers fusion cuisine such as Latin-style shrimp and grits, arepa burgers, and a chef's poke bowl.
I believe this is the same place that was downtown Decatur on church street. Really good food and seasoned well but not spicy. The only thing missing for me is the red beans you get in the puerto Rican or Dominican restaurant. Drinks are great and priced well

Stopped in to this Delicious Decatur destination for upscale latina cuisine. They have a different special each day and a Sunday brunch special. The food was a delight for the eyes as much as the taste. The taste was Divine and inspired. Full of nutrition without weighing you down. The staff was incredible, very upbeat and positive vibes. The building is absolutely beautiful, I sat by the covered patio area and it was fitting for the Spring weather the view is nice. I had an amazing server by the name of Cassidy she was very attentive and suggested I got the special of the day which was the lobster and roasted corn empanadas. It did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes was amazing! It was like a party version of our southern staple very much enjoyed those. Table for 2 for dinner We approached the restaurant and noticed a nice-sized shared parking lot. I quickly found a spot and took the short walk to the entrance. We didn't have a reservation and requested outside seating. However, we were told the outside area was reserved for an event. Later, we heard someone else ask to sit outside, and they were led there without hesitation. It felt like there was some miscommunication regarding the outside seating area. On a nice day, outside seating is always our preference. I mentioned the mix-up to our server but didn’t make a big deal out of it. We reviewed the drink menu and ordered the Sweetwater Lager, which our server suggested, and Wifey ordered the same. We thought we were tasting something new, but It turned out to be the Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale that we’d tasted before. We reviewed the food options and made our decision. Wifey went for the Lombo, described as Brazilian pork tenderloin with a side of plantains. I opted for the Fried Adobo Chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. While waiting for our food, we noticed the great overall design and ambiance of the restaurant, with vibrant colors and original art everywhere. The food came out pretty quickly and looked delicious. We started to dig in, and the food did not disappoint. I loved my fried chicken meal, and Wifey just said, “Wow Wow” about her pork tenderloin. The portions were big enough that we had leftovers to take home. We also decided to order a Tres Leches to go. Overall, we had a very good experience at Calle Latina, and our server, Ciarra, was nice and took good care of us.

I love this little hidden jem of a restaurant! I have only been a few times, but I highly recommend it. The fried green tomatoes are legendary. The prices are reasonable and the food in general is... I don't know how else to describe it but clean. Like you know how when you normally get Mexican and it's a greasy, heavy meal. It's simply not like that here. I don't know what the chefs are doing back there, but I have eaten a lot here and never felt like I was going to slip into a food coma afterward. Seriously, if you try it, you will understand.

I hope there is never a time I enter the state of Georgia and don't find myself at a table at Calle Latina! Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted by a live quartet including an angelic voice singing my personal playlist with zero input. The artwork and lighting created an intimate, warm, and inviting setting that made us all feel honored to be allowed into the space. We started our meal with tomates verde. The first bite was so delicious I simultaneously burst into laughter and tears. I couldn't quite decide what culinary adventure to partake in, but the tapas menu made it easier with the trio. I ordered the chile rellenos, crispy carnitas flautas, and empanadas negras and finished with a delightful flan de piña. Every element of this meal was perfectly complimentary while standing out magnificently. I'm not sure my taste buds will ever recover from the pure love Maria put on our plates. This was more than a meal; this was a divine masterpiece.

Thai restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Decatur Square, Siam Thai Restaurant is a delightful spot that captures the essence of classic Thai cuisine while adding its own unique flair. With an inviting atmosphere and charming decor, it’s a perfect place to unwind after exploring the area. The restaurant features an array of dishes, including intriguing options like volcano chicken and honey garlic tofu, alongside beloved vegetarian choices such as Three Flavors Tofu and Buddha's Delight.
We enjoyed our dinner here. The food arrived fast. The service was very good. The atmosphere was family friendly. We visit many Thai restaurants across the US and this one pulls us back every time we are in Decatur.

Ordered Thai Basil fried rice. It wasn't the tastiest Thai food I've eaten. However, the vegetables were well cooked and the rice was mild in flavor. May give this restaurant another try someday. Gave this restaurant a second try within the same week. I explicitly asked for vegetarian massaman Curry with tofu. I was served curry with chicken. I didn't realize it immediately. However, I did find the tofu funny looking and asked my colleague to taste it. And of course it was chicken. They didn't look very apologetic that they served the wrong dish. Just a casual "I'll take the food away" and that's about it. Not going there again.

One of my favorite places to frequent in Decatur - the atmosphere is lively and inviting, and the decor is cute. Also, I always enjoy how perfectly spaced apart the tables and seats are - the interior is never too crammed nor sparse. Additionally, since the restaurant is at the heart of Decatur Square, there’s so much to do and see in the area after having a meal here! Among the vegetarian dishes, the Three Flavors Tofu has been my favorite dish, and the Buddha’s Delight is good as well. The Curry Puffs with duck sauce are also a fantastic appetizer. Unfortunately, I would skip the Cashew Delight - it was a bit bland compared to the other awesome options on the menu. Would totally recommend coming!

We went here for dinner, ordered three different meals. My rating is the reflection of my order. Pro: vegetables were not overcooked. As simple as it sounds, not many places succeeded at doing this by the time the food reaches the table in my experience. Service was prompt and generally pleasant. Con: my pineapple curry was so sweet that I could not eat more than a few bites, which translates to food waste. In fact, I asked my husband to try a spoonful. He said it was a “burning sweet” taste. I have had Thai food plenty of time, but never had it been this sweet. I asked the waitress if the sweetness came from the pineapple or sugar. She said it was sugar and that was how they made food. I asked her if it was regional. She confirmed but could not tell me what region. My companions’ food were also sweet (sweeter than I would typically like) but no where near the sugar water in the bowl of curry soup served to me. The second con is the rice. The rice was very dry (as you can see how the cooked grains are separate in this photo). I assumed they used Thai jasmine rice. But I know there are many types of Thai rice and they are not all equal. The rice served to me was not fragrant and tasted bland. I grew up growing rice and eating it on a daily basis. This rice is mediocre.

Brought my family here for dinner. We are sorely disappointed. I got Drunken noodles and chicken. Family got Pad noodles and chicken as well. Got the pad Thai wings for the little one. Somehow that came out to 73$ for two plates worth 17$ on the menu and a 12$ plate of wings. Only like six wings on the plate. For how mid the food tasted. It was nowhere near worth 73$! The noodles are entirely too sweet. I don’t know if it was cooked in coconut based sauce but I don’t do sweets very often. I don’t want my primary meal being sweet. Especially when there’s no spices or peppers to offset the overwhelming sweet flavors you get hit with. It made my loves chest hurt and I couldn’t finish. I’m 250 pounds I always finish my food but tonight I could not. The customer service was mid as well. She only came to check on us once. Never came back once the food was brought out. The ambiance was decent but again. We left feeling robbed. It was my first time ever trying Thai food. And if I was overly critical I wouldn’t ever want to try Thai food again. This was not a bad tasting or horrible experience. Not like that. But after paying what we did. You just feel the prices are way too much for the mid level food taste you get. I have eaten better at places that charge 15$ for a plate and only spending 40$ for food for three to eat.

The food was amazing! It is a must try believe me! Atmosphere 10/10, Service 10/10, Love in the Food 10/10, Drinks 10/10! ABSOLUTELY coming back! Best service I’ve had in a VERY long time. Hospitality is awesome!

A quality Thai restaurant that’s convenient to Emory. Not as spicy as I’ve had elsewhere, but very tasty.

Fun little spot on the square in Decatur. Service was great! Super friendly! Nice menu with lots of selections. Food was meh. The fresh basil rolls were definitely not fresh. Must have come straight from the refrigerator after having been in there for hours. Super cold and hard. The chicken dumplings were fine but pretty bland and the pad Thai was also just okay. I really didn’t find anything flavorful like Thai food should be. Probably not going back.

Southern restaurant (US)
Restaurant
Revival is a lively restaurant that offers innovative Southern cuisine, with some dishes served family-style. The restaurant features a spacious patio and exudes a gracious Southern charm. Located in Decatur, the classic bungalow setting adds to its appeal, with walls adorned with family heirlooms. On Sundays, patrons can indulge in delectable offerings such as giant housemade cinnamon buns, fried chicken sandwiches, cathead biscuits with sawmill gravy, and ham hock hash.
Went to celebrate our anniversary with a couple of friends and had an amazing time. The portion sizes were perfect and both the server and the bar tender were so nice. Everything tasted amazing maybe one of the best fried catfish I've ever had.

Arrived at 5:01pm without a reservation on a Friday night and were seated inside (read no mosquitoes) at 5:10pm. We were told that we'd need to vacate by 8pm. Ordered the beet salad appetizer which was quite tasty, though a tad bit small for $9. Basket of cornbread was tasty and the butter delicious. I ordered the fried chicken which came with three smaller sized prices of chicken which was perfect. Can't imagine if they'd be 3 Texas sized pieces of chicken. It was fried to perfection. I ordered the 3 bean salad (marginal at best but fortunately my wife thought it was amazing so I only had to eat two bites). The mushrooms were sauteed with heavy garlic and super scrumptious. I also tasted the meat loaf which was yummy but kind of pricey for the one slightly smallish sized piece of meatloaf. The roasted potatoes were ok but not particularly flavorful. The icebox lemon pie was good and big enough to share. All together enjoyable place to eat. Unfortunately we sat next to a noisy table of women and men who all cackled (seriously cackled) and the hardwood floors made their voices even louder. A little pricey for meatloaf and fried chicken. We might be back but we'll probably try some of the other Decatur options first next time we're visiting our daughter at college.

We had an early dinner in the garden space last night and it was so pleasant. We didn't have reservations but went at 530 and were able to get a table. I recommend reservations as they were quite busy. Friendly hostess and wait staff. Very nice and socially distanced with face masks and individual cutlery. We split the fried chicken which comes with three pieces (thigh, wing, drumstick) and two sides (collards, sweet potato). They don't provide substitutions but we ordered the green beans and mac with cheese. Everything was great!! We had a couple cocktails as well. The southern old fashion and tropical negroni. The southern old fashion had a peanut brittle flavor. Really interesting flavor. I would order again. I would like to go back for brunch and dessert too!

The chicken sandwich offered on the Sunday brunch menu is delicious! The peach cobbler French toast and biscuits and gravy are also very good. Reservations are highly recommended. They were able to accommodate a party of 11. There is no kids menu but they offered coloring books and Legos to keep the kids entertained. A side of mac and cheese was enough for my girls who are not big eaters.

You know that satisfying feeling when you have super high expectations and those expectations are exceeded? That was my experience at Revival. The deer complemented the white grits well while not masking its flavor, the fried chicken was the best I’ve ever had, the dill was the star in the tomato and dill soup, that was the first time I’d ever had a melted pimento cheese. Oh and the cornbread is magical - it’s delightfully sour by itself but the butter brings out a sweetness that you can’t taste without it. They were very purposeful in their COVID precautions and the service overall was fantastic. Definitely up there in my top 3 Atlanta restaurants.

We came out on opening night during front lawn and patio dining. Chef Kevin and his team did not disappoint. An amazing southern dinner kicked up to another level. Loved the peach shortcake and we cleanee every plate. Everyone was socially distant and we loved it.

No valet, qr scan limited menus, & patio seating only. Limited parking. Made online reservation, but not on list upon arrival. Easily seated at 6pm on Sat. Staff is excellent, knowledgeable, courtesy, & timely. I'm not a fan of (green beans) NO SUBSTITUTIONS!🙄 Food was delicious as always! Highly recommended for comfort food & relaxed atmosphere. 😋

High expectations were definitely met, perhaps exceeded. Chef Gillespie's team was thoughtful, attentive, and delivered a great dining experience. The sweet tea was as good as any outside of your Grandma's house. To start things off, we had the pimento cheese and house made potato chips. The pimento had a little heat, but was balanced by the richness of the creamy cheese spread mixed in. The house chips were golden-brown and delicious...savory, perfectly crunchy, and substantial enough to hold up to the cheese spread. We went with the classics, fried chicken and meatloaf. Both staples were elevated renditions of the best classic offerings I've ever had. The chicken was crunchy know the outside, but juicy on the inside. The meatloaf had a great texture and deep flavor. The bacon wrap and barbecue glaze set it apart from other meatloafs. The sampling of sides offered on the menu won't disappoint. The mac 'n cheese was creamy and comforting. The brussel sprouts and collard greens both had a bit of surprising heat. The apple cider vinegar on the Brussels was a nice acidic counter balance to some of the other richness on the table. The collards were tender without being over cooked to the point of losing all texture. Some of the best grits and sweet potato casserole you'll find anywhere. We were celebrating a birthday, and the Revival team prepared a personalized message on our menus leaving no opportunity to wish a happy birthday left untouched. All in all, a great meal in a wonderful historic and comfortable setting.

New American restaurant
Bar
Southern restaurant (US)
Sprig Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience featuring seasonal farm-to-table American cuisine and creative cocktails. The charmingly rustic dining room is constructed from reclaimed barn wood, adding to the overall ambiance. Their menu caters to diverse palates with mouth-watering dishes like flash-fried deviled eggs, kale Caesar salad, seared salmon, quinoa salad with grilled chicken, Italian sausage rigatoni, and their renowned Sprig Burger.
We stopped by Sprig on a Thursday afternoon, and we were immediately greeted by a warm and welcoming staff. Known for boasting the most extensive whiskey list in Georgia, and rumored to house a legendary speakeasy, this restaurant definitely piqued our interest. We decided to sample a variety of their lunch offerings. The Quinoa Salad was incredibly fresh and vibrant, a perfect light start. The Grit Fries were a delightful surprise – crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside – and the Chicken & Waffle Sliders were a delicious combination of sweet and savory. But the star of the show was undoubtedly the "World Famous Sprig Burger." It lived up to the hype, juicy and flavorful, a true testament to their culinary skills. The portions were surprisingly generous for lunch, offering excellent value. To complement our meal, we ordered the Whiskey Peach cocktail, which was exceptionally well-balanced and refreshing. Our server, Eric, was outstanding. He was not only attentive and friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He even gave us a sneak peek of the secret passage to the speakeasy! Let me tell you, it was mind-blowing. We also had the pleasure of chatting with Heather, the wealth of knowledge manager, who further fueled our excitement about the speakeasy. Unfortunately, the speakeasy is only open at night, from Wednesday through Saturday. But after seeing the hidden entrance and hearing about the atmosphere, we've already made plans to return and experience it for ourselves. Sprig offers a unique dining experience, combining delicious food, an impressive whiskey selection, and a touch of mystery. Whether you're a whiskey aficionado, a foodie, or simply looking for a memorable meal, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

2025-8 update: Went for lunch and as expected the meal and service were excellent. Nice selection of lunch items all impeccably prepared. We had a Korean wrap and a Turkey bacon club. Our server (Jason) was excellent. This really is a great restaurant. 2024 review: Great neighborhood restaurant for a nice meal. Atmosphere, service and selections are outstanding. We had a couple of their World Famous Burgers with bacon jam (delish!!!), Meatloaf and Lamb Stroganoff. All were excellent. Our cocktails consisting of The Kind Word, a Cranberry Orange Moscow mule, and a Chardonnay were all very good. They have an excellent Bourbon selection also. Inside it is cozy and inviting with a nice bar. There is also a nice outdoor seating area. This is a popular spot so if you come at popular times, be prepared for a wait.

We have been here for multiple brunches and dinners. They always do a fabulous job. They have a great menu with lots of gluten free options. They have an amazing bar with great cocktails and bourbon selection....and a speak easy that was festively decorated for the holidays. Just a great neighborhood location or a great place to drive across the city to try. Always well prepared and tasty food, excellent cocktails and friendly staff. My favorites are the shrimp and grits, fried chicken and the grit fries but there are so many tasty dishes!

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The southern gluten-free options are amazing. The menu changes with the season, so it is farm to table fresh. I am always impressed with the wait staff. My husband and I went tonight for our 20-year anniversary. The food was amazing, and I treated myself to an Apple cider mule that was delicious. The bone in pork chop melted in my mouth. If I were to say 1 negative, it would be that their water could use a filter. I always look forward to trying something new.

We had a reservation for 5 for brunch at 11:30 am on Sunday, 7/28/24. Sean was our waiter and he was wonderful! So patient with us! The average age of the customers skewed higher. Seems like a lot of retirees frequent the restaurant. Everyone was very sweet! They have a good selection of liquor at the bar, and it seems like they’re known for their whisky. Very casual. They have high chairs! We split 2 appetizers and each got our own entrée. Here’s what we got: - Pimento Cheese Fritters ($14): Good. - Blueberry Baked French Toast ($14): Glad we split this. It was really good and sweet, but I couldn’t have eaten the entire dish myself. - Sprig Classic Burger ($14) with Sweet Potato Fries (+ $2): The burger was good. The fries would’ve been great if they weren’t so salty. Others in my party had the Veggie Omelet ($14), Chilaquiles ($14), and Breakfast Croissant ($14). All were pretty average. The veggies weren’t cooked into the omelet, just sandwiched between the egg. The portions were also pretty small. Decent food, reasonably priced, portions on the smaller side. Good service!

Recently, my friend and I visited our usual brunch spot, but we were quite disappointed with our experience. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, but they were sliced too thin and not enjoyable. For sharing between two people, there should have been six tomatoes instead of five. My friend’s eggs Benedict had issues as well; the eggs were soft-boiled instead of poached, the salmon resembled beef jerky, and the muffin was not toasted. Additionally, her grits were served hot, but by the time she received a spoon, they had cooled down. I ordered the pastrami Reuben and, regrettably, I have to say that Arby’s offers a better sandwich. This meal was a sharp contrast to our previous visit, which had been delicious. Unfortunately, we are now considering finding a new brunch place. I don’t like giving negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share this feedback so that improvements can be made. Please do better.

This place is popular with the locals and i can see why! You might miss it if you're just driving by or scanning the area for something to eat but i definitely recommend stopping by. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is fantastic! So far i've had their quinoa salad, grit fries, world famous burger, eggs Benedict, and Spinach salad with grilled chicken (not pictured). All have been delicious and i think about going back on a daily! Special shout out to the manager Heather who is such a pleasant person to speak with and a joy to be around. Oh yea, did i mention they have an extensive WHISKEY BAR??? Literally a wall of different whiskeys ready to tantalize your tastebuds. Just amazing. I'm Completely sold on this place.

Sprig claims to have one of the largest bourbon selections, and after perusing the bar wall, I agree. That being said, I did not drink bourbon. I chose water. And a fantastic spinach salad with grilled chicken atop. The dressing was a tasty honey mustard and full of goodies like hard boiled eggs, nuts and bacon. My wife chose breakfast (they serve brunch until 2:30) which included eggs, grits, bacon and a biscuit with jam. Audrey was a great server. We will return.

Chinese restaurant
Golden Buddha Restaurant in Atlanta is a long-standing favorite, known for its extensive menu featuring both traditional and Americanized Chinese dishes. The restaurant offers Mandarin and Szechuan options, with popular choices like Honey Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. The casual diner-like setting provides a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy familiar Chinese fare such as sesame chicken alongside spicy Sichuan dishes.
I don’t usually dine in this town, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty, and there was construction going on next door. The exterior looked quite unremarkable, so my expectations were low. However, as soon as I stepped inside, my perception completely changed. The restaurant had sample dishes beautifully displayed as decoration, instantly giving off an authentic Chinese restaurant vibe. I soon discovered that this place was a local favorite. We ordered soup, dumplings, vegetable delight, fried rice, and their famous chicken. The service was attentive, and the prices were reasonable, making for an overall great dining experience.

Very elaborate decorations which did make for a nice atmosphere. Quantity of food was very good, more than one meals worth, so value for the money is very good quality of food is a solid 4. Meaning most people will enjoy their dinners and a few picky people will not. I do suggest this restaurant for military veterans having to use the Atlanta VA, for a nice reasonable priced restaurant for lunch and dinner.

I went to this place last night to for a bday dinner that I was invite. My experience here was 50/50 good and no too good, unfortunately I didn't like the food that I ordered and the most of my friends too in the same table, idk if was too hot the food or the flavor in general, I just tried to taste something different and I ordered sweet & sour pork, literally tasted like frozen food. The attention was good but during the process of the dinner bc at the beginning was a little hard to order for because it was so difficult to communicate well with the waitress. Later she understands us good according our necessities. At the final all the sweet and sour food was meh, but the fried rice was so astonishing. Idk if was me or I just had bad lucky ordering that night that specific dish. The place it's so beautiful and the atmosphere it's so good but I didn't enjoy the food to be honest

Ordered lunch delivery few days ago for first time. Chinese food is my fave & have eaten it in many cities, including NYC and San Fran as well as in Hong Kong. I couldn't believe how disgusting this food was. The eggrolls were filled with something I've never seen ... black unrecognizable and very yuk. The Mongolian beef was very tough, and very few pieces; the sauce was almost passable. I also ordered the shrimp in Oyster Sauce. The few shrimp were large, somewhat chewy and I couldn't eat the sauce. I had to throw it all away. A waste of almost $34! Delivery was very quick, however. I hadn't had Chinese for quite a while and was so looking forward to a delectable meal. I'm in my 80s, in a facility, have no car so can't get to any restaurant I'll never ever order fron here again although I've heard and read only good things. I wonder what happened! I was so very disappointed.
Marilyn S — Google review
This is in no way to slander this restaurant, but to add constructive criticism in hope of change. I’ll start by saying I am from NJ, was raised til 17 in GA, and spent my 20s and 30s in the tristate area. So when it comes to Chinese food, anyone from up north can completely understand where I’m coming from when I say, we don’t eat a lot of Chinese food here. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special which from pics and my actual order looked delicious. I’m ordinarily a beef and broccoli type of gal, but I said why not. I ordered take out and this was the second day in a row I would’ve missed lunch, so blowing my budget on take out was high on my priority list, and I have been craving Chinese food. The good: I was greeted as soon as I walked in, environment felt good, food was ready and hot. It took everything in me to wait until I got back to my office to not open my food. The bad: the pork egg roll was greasy, no biggie. But it had zero flavor. Ok, let’s get in to the main. Asian food has a way of making even white rice taste delicious, but this tasted like water. Thought maybe I just haven’t had it in a while. Now I’m not sure what type of sauce Mongolian beef is supposed to have, but this also taste like water. Like someone rinsed it off after cooking. It came with the red sauce that you usually get with Crab Rangoon, so I dumped that on top. Believe me when I say, I’m one of those ppl that likes to eat my food the way it comes, so adding sauce hurt my feelings….and also did nothing. So I added a pack of duck sauce while being super conscious of how many additional calories on top of that blown budget I just added. Alas, still nothing, and the reason I had to write this review. I paid $14 for this meal knowing I was taking a risk, so I’m not upset, just disappointed. Again I’d like to reiterate, as someone used to northern Chinese Food, this could very well be just me. Other reviews were great which is why I chose it. This is just my 2 cents from someone that would love to love the food. I think I will try the beef and broccoli next time to be able to accurately have a view of my fav dish.

Not Impressed with Lunch Egg Roll - absolutely outstanding with great flavor and served hot Rated 5 stars Crispy noodles - not full of crunch as you expect. Rated 2 stars Egg Drop Soup - no flavor very light color and not what I would expect from a good Chinese restaurant Rated at 2 stars Sweet and Sour Chicken - the sauce was very thick and a gel like consistency to it. The chicken pieces were very large and not as easy to eat as I prefer. Rated at 3 stars The Fried Rice - Gross is the best way to describe this. Very yellow in color and NO flavor. I asked for soy sauce a couple of times and never received it. Rated at 1 star Service- Disappointed in the service. I never got any condiments that I requested including Soy Sauce, Salt & Pepper. Never checked on me to see how I liked the meal etc. What was most interesting is anyone they knew as a regular customer got top notch service. The booth in front of me had his soup and drink waiting when he sat down. The waiter was checking on him. Rated at 3 stars Overall rating at 3 stars for this lunch meal
