The junior suite was very nice and the price was reasonable. Only minus for me were the pillows. Too high and bulky for me. I used a folded blanket instead. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to downtown and fishing. Casino was nice and well lit. We had a great time.
The venue is visually impressive, but our experience was unfortunately disappointing. While waiting, we sat on some available couches. Shortly after, Hotel staff approached us and asked us to leave — with explanation this place for VIP and with no signs indicating that the area was reserved or off-limits. If the space is meant for VIP guests, that should be clearly marked. Everything appeared open to all visitors, and we weren’t violating any visible rules. The interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As for the slot machines — they look flashy and inviting, but the gameplay felt extremely tight. After trying several machines, we noticed that even minimal wins were rare, and there was no sense of fair play or excitement. It felt more like a one-way transaction than a game of chance. None a valuable bonuses. If you're hoping for a bit of fun or thrill, this may not be the place. Beautiful setting, but the overall experience lacked warmth, transparency, and hospitality.
The Safire restaurant is worth going to. It's on the 6th floor, take the elevator up, and it feels very removed from the rest of the gaming atmosphere. Reasonably priced meals and service was good. Casino is big and has other bars/restaurants. Drinks were not expensive. It's smoky but not overwhelming. My gaming experience was a lot of up and down so you get to play, just leave when you're up! If you get a jackpot or a machine requires an attendant for any reason, be prepared to wait. For a casino this size, I'd expect the pay out process to be a bit more efficient. Parking was plentiful and the gas is the best deal around so fill up while you're here.
Very nice staff, beautiful casino. Bingo is fun there. Great food. Haven't stayed in a room as of yet. Hopefully the bingo bus from Anderson will be able to continue.
Good food selection at the restaurants. Gift shop looks interesting from the outside, but haven't been inside yet. Rooms are spacious, a little basic but nice & comfortable & clean. Casino host is warm, welcoming, professional. Great promo gifts. GC has the most generous free play I have seen, which makes the visit worth the drive. Rather out of the way, but we stop & hit thrift stores.
The food at the restaurants are pretty good, but in terms of the casino, they treat their players like absolutely CRAP—especially loyal patrons. I’m a black card holder, the 2nd to last tier, and the way I was treated in my previous stay was utterly disrespectful and distasteful. I spend THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS here just to be treated like a nobody. They don’t respect their players, I do NOT recommend spending your time and hard earned money here—there are better options like feather falls and Hard Rock
This Casino is only 8 miles from my house and my lady and I love to go and enjoy breakfast and dinner there With an anniversary, birthday or that special date night to selibrate the occasion. The bar on the 6th floor is a classy place to take your lady to and enjoy each other's company. Good food and service is great and reasonably priced.
The smoke was sooo bad in here couldnt stay long our throats were hurting. Not good air filtration systems? Also the machines all were terrible we had a $100 each and just kept going down. Not a fun first impression. The acorn cafe was good but that’s about it. We had a great time at feather falls the weekend or so before I kept $20 going forever there and my husband actually won some.

Amazing views, clean trails, and a nice visitor's center. The lookout tower has the best views of the landscape.
Great place to take the kids, horses or just take in the view.
The museum has lots of info over the lake’s history. It’s a great place to go if you’re ever in Oroville to give you an idea of Oroville’s past.
Great place. Liked the view. Especially walking on the dam.
We need more signs directing people to our fun places, other than that Oroville Recreational places ROCK!
Very nice employees with good reccomendation. Clean large camping spots. Nice bathrooms. Great sunset views by the bridge.
Love hanging out with my wife here. We like floating on our rafts in the cove with some music and cocktails.

First stop on our reserviour bike run. If you have never been here its a must especially right no with the spillway dumping. Lake is almost full up 100 ft. Views of dam and areas great. Hiking trails and history.
This is a great museum to learn about the construction of Oroville dam, and part natural history museum displays of Native American life in the area many years ago. Great view from the observation tower.
lovely lookout over lake oroville. Cool winter crafts for the kiddos. Way cool displays!!! With a treasure hunt for the kiddosAnd it was all free, but the big binoculars cost 25 cents.
We were able to watch the movie about building the dam and also watched the movie of Ishi a native American
I came here twice but thats only cause I was 3rd grader elementary school from kynoch year 1998. I remmeber coming here as a field trip, i remember climbing or walking up that outdoor stair my teacher let us! Then I remmeber walking in the musuem seeing alot of unique stuff I miss you teacher thank you im 30 now.
The visitor center is nice. Discusses the history of the Dam construction that formed lake Oroville. You have views of the lake side of the dam. Discusses the Native Americans who inhabited the area. There is a very interesting film about the construction of the dam. This is well worth seeing.
Very informative and peaceful. The views from the tower are exceptional.
Was a very interesting place. There were a lot of different things to look at.

Phantom Falls in Oroville is an amazing spot for anyone who loves nature and scenic views. The hike to the falls offers breathtaking landscapes, especially in the spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The rolling green hills, basalt rock formations, and panoramic views make it a picture-perfect destination. The trail itself is not difficult at all—though there are some rocky and uneven sections, it’s very manageable for most hikers. Along the way, you can also visit Ravine Falls, which adds another beautiful stop to the journey. The best time to visit is after winter rains (between December and April), when the waterfall is flowing at its best. There aren’t any facilities, so bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Overall, a fantastic hike with incredible views that’s definitely worth the trip!
Like other wildflower areas, it can be hit or miss depending on the season. Even without a "superbloom" (a word that gets tossed around way too much) it's a nice area to wander. Literally like a table top, it's mostly a flat hike, though there's a few places the trails dip down and back up. We did a tour of most of the area, which was a 7 mile hike and under 1,000' of elevation gain. The year we went the flowers were probably a 6/10, some, but not a lot. Other years can be spectacular. Phantom Falls was but a trickle, but earlier in the season it can be more impressive. Mostly, the kind of dirt here doesn't turn into thick mud when wet, so you could come right after a rain and not have to worry so much about sticky, difficult mud. Almost no shade out on the plateau, so be prepared if it's hot and sunny. Obviously this place can get crowded, we arrived around 8 and the lot was already filling up and a lot of people starting out on a hike. It's easy enough to get space however, though some of the popular areas and near the parking can be quite crowded, borderline zoo. We prefer hikes with more of a challenge, not so flat, but it was a nice day, and decent scenery.
Kind of hard to not love this place during spring bloom. It’s really great to see developed trail system emerge over the years so the big flower displays have fewer random trails zig zagging through them. A couple of amazing waterfalls within a reasonable hike from the parking lot too.
This is just such an incredible place. We went last month and it was in full bloom, wildflowers everywhere. Truly breathtaking. One thing to note is the hikes to get to the first waterfall and then the second one are TOUGH if you are not in shape. You traverse down and up fairly steep rocky paths with not much room. The view is well worth it. Make sure to pack sun screen, but spray, and plenty of water!
Got there early, before 8am. Rangers show up after that. Day pass QR code is on sign by entrance. Peak season, so 12 port-a- johns plus permanent toilet. Trail is a loop with small inner loop. Can go south to Hollow falls or north to Upper Ravine falls, and either way meet at Phantom falls. The inner loop is a much harder trek to the Middle Ravine falls. The trail is easy when it's pasture, and hard basalt gravel and rock face when it's not. Dogs paws require protection, and they are not allowed in the water because of E.coli from the cow patties upstream. Many times the trail gets narrow, so a very short leash is needed. People afraid of dogs plus other people's dogs are in very close proximity. Young children, toddlers and babies in backpacks are not recommended on the inner loop because maintaining balance is a challenge.
Beautiful Waterfall Hike – Wear Good Boots! Stunning trail with amazing waterfalls and lush scenery. Totally worth it for the views! But the path is very rocky and uneven, so sturdy hiking boots are a must. Be prepared, and you’ll love it.
Yes, there are wild flowers in the spring. The path starts out easy, then turns into a hazard for walking/hiking. Loose rocks (basalt) down hill/up hill both ways. We didn't make it to the waterfalls because the trail becomes dangerous for us. Uneven, no 'real' stairs to shimmy down or crawl up. Yes, we are older, but we also have done plenty of day hikes. This one is not for those unsteady on the feet. Port-a-pottys are filthy.
The area contains many easy to moderate trails on top of the plateau. Flower bloom could be seen during spring time. Crowded during weekends and holidays but otherwise a pleasant experience for hike, picnic, and trail running.

Such a cool local educational experience with an extensive amount of historical artifacts that came from China. The docent was so interesting and culturally sensitive and aware: he’s a valuable resource and community gem! I’m so glad we came from San Francisco and did the tour and definitely recommend! Learning about the history of Chinese immigrants in Oroville is a worthwhile visit. Fyi, the temple only accepts cash and checks.
Very cool California historic location just down the street from The Table Top Bridge and literally yards from The Feather River. One of my favorite spots to walk in Oroville.
What a charming little treasure! The Chinese Temple in Oroville is a beautifully preserved landmark rich with history and culture. For just $4, you not only get a fascinating glimpse into the past—you also help support the preservation of this important site. I learned so much during my visit and was truly impressed by how well-kept and thoughtfully maintained everything is. A huge thank you to the volunteers who make this experience possible. If you enjoy learning about local history or exploring cultural heritage, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s a meaningful, affordable, and enriching way to spend an afternoon.
Admission is $4 per person, cash only. I was born and raised in China. I have been to many grand temples in China. But the place hits different. It was built by the Chinese traveled here during the Gold Rush. Exploring the lives of the Chinese in Northern California from a century ago is truly fascinating. This place resembles more of a shrine than a temple because "temple" is generally used for Buddhist religious worship and the living quarters of monks. This place is dedicated to various mythological deities, including the plaque that reads "Hall of the Sacreds."
Wonderfully preserved, historical temple site. The docent was very knowledgeable and answered all questions, very helpful. The garden within the complex is inspiring. Give yourself ample time to wander around, browse the artifacts and take in the vibes.
Enjoyed seeing all the interesting antiques. There was a lot of different things to see. And they even let my son ring the gong!
My husband and I been wanting to go for years as we don’t live that far, we finally did and loved it the staff were very friendly and welcoming and informative, we will be going back again, and want to go the the Chinese parade next year.
Beautiful, informative experience for a small price. I definitely recommend. I took my hubby on a date here and then we went to the Tong Fong Low restaurant. They are connected in a way. You'll see why when you visit.

Literally one of my favorite places on earth. What a magical and unique experience to see some of the best animals up close. Literally a once in a lifetime place we come to as much as we can.
The condition these animals live in are horrible. They have no grass or room to run around most barely have room to walk back and forth more than 10 steps each way. It was hot when we went and they barely had shade and no misters to keep them cool. They should be taken to an actual sanctuary. This is not a sanctuary it’s a prison.
Great place, this is mainly a rescue center, but some animals did not need to be there. I'm talking about how in the description it tells you why that animal is there, many of the animals were there because of nutritional program where they do lots of testing. Not bad prices 10$ for adult and 6$ for kids.
We really enjoyed this place. I know some people are noting that the animals don't have big habits for space, but I'm happy that they are being taken care of. Not all of them are able to be rehabilitated to the degree that they can be transferred back out to the wild. When we were done looking at all of the animals, we found a very nice spot on the grounds to have our little picnic lunch. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable here, also. We will be back!
Such a cool hidden place! I’m so glad we went and visited. Had a great time and the caregivers of this sanctuary are super nice and you can tell it’s not just like some ‘Zoo’ where they mistreat their animals. Highly recommend going there just as a day trip(:
Absolutely Amazing! Definitely pleased with animals, people, and accommodations. Everyone is friendly and pleasure to speak with. The animals did not disappoint. They were up walking around, we got to see feeding time, and hear a few roars. They had golf cars that we could use, free of charge, for all 6 of us. Nice touch for me being disabled and my 2 pregnant daughters. Such a Great experience! 👍🏽
It was amazing to see all the animals up close. They really are amazing this place works solely on donations they rehabilitate some animals and then house some that cannot be placed back in the wild all the staff are volunteers they do have days where you can arrange to take pictures with baby animals and they very so stop by and visit them and if you can sponsor an animal talk to a volunteer about how
Overall the park grounds where well maintained. There's a lot of different exotic animals to view.. The staff was friendly & kind. The surrounding land on the drive, to the park was pretty. It's a quiet place & u can also bring ur lunch if u wanted (picnic area) inside that's shaded. Overall.. I gave 3 stars bcz I feel, that these animals are being kept in too small of cages! I unfortunately, won't come back bcz I didn't enjoy seeing that part of the park! It's my own opinion. Everything else was great.

A fun little local spot to run around and see salmon and steelhead in the fish ladder. The barrier dam is a beautiful site seeing point. The most is refreshing on a hot day. You can often see fish jumping there as well. There are often painted rocks hidden around in the rock features to take or leave your own. A fun spot to enjoy the river and fish, if they are in the ladder.
The Feather River Fish Hatchery, located in Oroville, California, is a remarkable facility dedicated to preserving and enhancing the populations of Chinook salmon and steelhead trout in the Feather River and its tributaries. As a nature enthusiast, I recently had the opportunity to visit this hatchery, and I was truly impressed by the conservation efforts and educational experiences it offers. First and foremost, the Feather River Fish Hatchery plays a crucial role in the recovery and sustainability of salmon and steelhead populations in the region. The facility collects eggs and milt from adult salmon and trout returning from their ocean migrations. These fish are then carefully bred and raised, with great attention paid to maintaining genetic diversity. The hatchery raises millions of juvenile fish each year, which are released into the Feather River system to support the wild populations. The hatchery's visitor center is an excellent place to start your visit. It provides a wealth of information about the life cycle of salmon and steelhead, their importance to the ecosystem, and the conservation efforts in place. There are informative exhibits, interactive displays, and knowledgeable staff who are eager to answer any questions. I found it to be an educational experience for visitors of all ages, from children to adults. One of the highlights of the hatchery is the viewing windows that allow visitors to see the various stages of fish development, from tiny fry to large adult fish. It's fascinating to watch the fish swim in the clear waters of the holding tanks, and the hatchery staff is more than happy to explain the processes and answer inquiries. The experience is particularly engaging during the salmon spawning season when you can witness the impressive adult fish leaping up the fish ladder to reach their spawning grounds. The outdoor setting of the Feather River Fish Hatchery is equally captivating. Nestled along the Feather River, the grounds are well-maintained and provide a serene environment for a leisurely stroll. Benches and picnic areas are available, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. There's also a beautiful koi pond that adds a touch of tranquility to the setting. Furthermore, the hatchery offers educational programs and guided tours, which I highly recommend. The tour guides are passionate about their work, and their insights into the fish's life cycle, habitat, and the challenges they face are eye-opening. As you walk along the fish ladder and the adjacent nature trails, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of the ecosystem. In conclusion, the Feather River Fish Hatchery is a hidden gem in Northern California. It combines conservation efforts, education, and natural beauty into one immersive experience. It's a place where you can learn about the importance of salmon and steelhead to the environment, witness the incredible journey of these fish, and appreciate the dedication of the staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure their survival. If you have any interest in the natural world, this hatchery is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impact on your understanding of conservation and the beauty of our natural world.
It wasn't open for tours at the time. Great views of the Feather river going over a check dam. Lots of wild flowers at this time.
My little girl and I had a great time. She loved seeing all the fish and learning how the fish get to the hatchery. You get to see up close. You can walk through the viewing tanks and walk out to the spillway. You can see all the fish jumping. There's also trails. And also handicap access. There's all sorts of educational plaques that show you the traveling and spawning process. It's pretty cool!
Nice place to watch the salmon jump. Also the fish ladders are pretty cool.
Just went to have a quick peek at thr river.
Very interesting and informative, we spent about an hour there. You could spend more time. Even got to see a fish in the ladder.

A beautiful location! This stretch has plenty of fishing and camping opportunities. Look for the seams in the river. Either dry flies or nymphs, both work very well and there are some toads in here. Head east to find camping, it’s a secret site with river access (Indian Jim’s elementary school), flat parking , and fire rings. Be cautious of the dangers of rising water due to the pg&e powerhouses (flows can increase at any moment).
If you're looking for some beautiful scenery, then look no further. We loved the drive through the canyon! We tried fishing the river but didn't catch any fish. That's why they call it fishing, lol. Would drive this route again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely beautiful drive through the canyon. A lot of construction/repair going on. That just leaves more time to get out and take some pictures on your way.
Beautiful drive to take. Beldon Town has an amazing bar and restaurant too!!!
A lovely, scenic drive. The area was devastated by the Dixie Fire, so there are still a couple of hold-ups along the highway, but the area is looking better. The Feather River is beautiful and there are many tiny towns still dotting the route. There are plenty of turnouts to enjoy views or get ice cream.
Very beautiful drive. It's a shame some of the trails are damages since the last fire, but still very fun to explore
An awesome cruise. So much to see and do. Swimming spots everywhere. Beautiful canyon views.
Beautiful drive. Lots of little rest areas, trails and view points along the highway. Would recommend.

It's tucked away near a ranger station bring a pole if ya want an orange lol. Not as tall as she once was but still great fruit if you can reach it.
How fantastic is this. These types of places are the reasons we take road trips. Who would have expected to find something of this historical significance off a small country Highway here in the foothills. How much fun is this!
The tree was purchased in the streets of Mazatlan, Mexico, as a 2-3 year old sapling. In 1856 it was planted in the town of Bidwell Bar. In 1964, when the river was dammed, creating Lake Oroville, it was moved to it's present location, out of harm's way. It's mind-boggling that this tree is still bearing fruit at 175 years old...
Seeing this ol'matriarch was a delight. She is humbly houses next to county offices in the tiniest California State Park I've ever seen!
It's amazing that this tree is 400 years old, something to consider. However, its size does not indicate the age.
This tree used to be in Bidwell Bar, a town that is now Lake Oroville. Supposedly this is the oldest orange tree in California, but from what I saw a new tree took the roots of the old one, and the oranges are REALLY sour.
The oldest citrus tree in California. Off the beaten path, but still quite fascinating.
Tree is amazing. Planted in 1856. Miners would get an orange from this tree and plant the seeds at their cabin or claims. Oldest orange tree in California!

Always a fun visit. You're on the vineyard grounds with the intendent environment including shaded seating. Outstanding view. Go inside and find a modern tasting room. The best ports, varietal ports.
Excellent Chardonnay and Ports, reasonable prices, friendly staff, great views and ambiance. Wine tasting is only $5 for 6 tastes.

Awesome displays. Amazed on array of tools, cleanliness, research including date and inventors names. The detailed design of each panel looked as lovely as quilt patterns. I brought my friend also a fan of tools. He was impressed. Thank you for your dedication to this museum.
This is the largest hand tool collection in North America! Very well organized with sections of pliers to shoe maker tools, barbed wire and black smithing as well. For such a small museum, it packs a pretty big punch! Definitely worth the trip if you're into tools at all and even if you aren't. The docents are very knowledgeable and when you get to hear some of the history and stories behind the pieces that have been collected, it's easy to get hooked in. You can also take home a souvenir of your trip from books, t-shirts and lots of other fun stuff.
I went there with a friend who was friends with the owners . Everyone was so incredibly friendly and them joking around together made it a wonderful experience. The old tools were very cool. I loved this place !
Not really into the tools myself but fascinating to see and appreciate one man's life long passion and the museum he built.
This place is incredibly cool. Billed as the largest tool collection on the planet its probably true. The guy that guided me through was as antique as the tools themselves and knew a little story about just about all of them. I was the only one there on a weekend afternoon which is a pity considering how many people love tools. Go and enjoy a simple pleasure. Tools.
Not only can you see over 13,000 tools beautifully mounted on the walls, and identified and databased, but there are presentations on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except December). Their website gets over 50,000 hits a month! People write in asking for help identifying tools or sharing their finds. Many experts in diverse fields (mechanical, electronic, steel working, finances, etc.) are speakers and explain the tools of their trades. Oftentimes when a topic is related to cars, tractors, military vehicles, stationary engines, etc. the parking lot will be FILLED with examples where discussions continue. The museum was founded by Bud & Laila Bolt 11 years ago; they donated 6,000 of their tools to the city to get things off and running. One of Bud's goals was to be open 7 days a week and the museum has been doing that for some years now. Groups like the local DAR chapter and the Old Time Fiddlers use the facilities in the evenings... it's a nice building, with good heat and air conditioning. Please, bring your family and friends and check it out! Hit the website to see what might be coming up talk-wise to add to your experience. And... remember, that if you have old tools you'd like to share, come by and see if yours are already represented or if they'd be appreciated donations.
5/17/25, 12:40 PM, "Closed until Further Notice"
They do have a lot of tools. Most of them are very old and many are very rare. They have binders with the history of the tools but it is a bit awkward to look up an individual tool. The presentation of them could be a little better but the building is limited on size so I think they are doing the best they can with what they have. Only just a small portion of their tool collection is on display but it is still a lot of tools.

Visited November 9th..see my receipt. First of all the warm and gracious owners allowed me in even though they were setting up for an event! This winery is located off Ward Road in Oroville. It's close to town yet you feel you are in the Country! I think they have about 26 acres with a pond and make some delicious wines...including cabs...pinots..and sangiovose. They have a tasting room that is welcoming along with a larger area for events. I bought the Cabernet Sauvignon and the owner was so kind he gave me some delicious mandarins they grow on the property ! I love the bridge and the cozy feel to the place. Family run! Although they don't have food or a wine club at this moment it is a great place to have a picnic with some exceptional places to enjoy the scenery! It was a Great experience with good wines and family atmosphere ( love the cute dogs!). Don't miss out on this place ( check their hours first). Bring a picnic basket and buy some of their wines and relax!
This winery is amazing. The wines are tasty, the area is absolutely perfect for a picnic. The tasting room is delightful
Enjoyed this winery on a PCA rallye day. Delightful environment and delicious wines and lunch. I recommend the frozen margarita. however, they are very inconsistent and unreliable in their scheduling and do not update their open / close days here, and don't answer their phone. I've made one trip too many out here to find the gate locked up so I'm giving up on this winery.
We had been here quite a few years ago they were very friendly had great wine and even had almonds to taste with your wine that you could purchase as well. Today we were very disappointed. The wines were not as good and the service was poor. I don't know who taught this lady how to do wine tasting but she really needs to go back to school. She did not smile and I ended up paying $5 for two sips of bad wine. I don't suggest taking the drive out to Long Creek Winery.
Very beautiful country setting atmosphere. Friend of mine has his wedding there. Was an awesome wedding. The only thing I was not impressed with, was the fact that my friend paid a pretty penny to rent this establishment and the same day, they rented a different section to band? Really? So as the wedding was going on, there were random people coming up the back side of the pond & wondering over toward the wedding. Not to mention, you could hear the band playing, in addition to the wedding ceremony. Who in there right mind would book a band & a wedding on the same day and time? I haven't asked my friend about his thoughts on the matter yet, but I would be VERY mad if this was my wedding. Weddings are usually "invite only" not "Open to the public". This was the deciding factor for my fiance to NOT have our wedding at this venue.
Fairly nice grounds and decent wines but the servers here are a bit snotty. I'd remind them that wine tasting is primarily customer service oriented and you could sell more if people enjoyed being around your staff...
Best Wine tasting in Oroville!! Another beautiful day, blessings and tastings, always 🙏 ❤

The experience was absolutely wonderful. It was challenging but relaxing. Ted made a point of giving it a personal feel by providing snacks and having everything ready to go when we arrived. He even let us pick the music, and we had a great time!
A beautiful space covered floor to ceiling in local art work. Spacious and vibrant. The people working were very friendly, inviting us to come in for local art classes and even saying that if we had our own supplies we could bring them in and just paint in the space. Seems like they host parties as well. Everything for sale is done by a local artist, and all the classes are taught by local artists. It had a great vibe, and I would recommend a visit to anyone!
Great people and classes
A welcoming place to do art
My child likes the rock painting and free paint days here.
I learned quite a bit and had a great time!

This location commemorates the chilling, tragic and complete genocide of Yahi Native Americans, and the encounter between Ishi, the last Yahi, and several anthropologists from UC Berkeley.
Amazing that Ishi wandered out to this spot to find help.
It's a historical marker on a random residential street. I would like to see more about Ishi There, as well as the perspectives of the Indigenous people that worked to return his remains to their undisclosed location.
Love the history of the location, but am saddened to see how little attention this locale is given. Would like to see more to honor the importance of the site and it's role in the life of the last Yahi. Recommend people go up to the visitor center if you'd like to learn more about Ishi.
Four stars for a historical place with a kinda sad story of ISHI! I lacks what it should be! A rock monument and a pick nick table next to a busy road! You can learn more about ISHI and his people at the Oroville Dam Visitors Center! Decent little self guided tour of The Dam and it construction! Some history!
There is a cement table here and some landscaping, but very small area. Not much besides the monument. When I was a kid I remember getting off the bus near there. It's a nice neighborhood where its located in the middle of.
Very nice monument. Looks like it has been cleaned up and landscaped recently. Very nice to learn some facts about the indian name Ishi.
It is a very important part of history.. it's a land mark where they found the last surviving,"Yahi" Indian 1911his name was Ishi which he did pass away in 1916 and that brought a end to the stone Age in California
