This is a nice place to get away and relax. Nice pool area and hot tub. The staff is always friendly and more than willing to help and answer any questions. The environment is relaxing with the nice setting in the lobby. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. Love the showers, wish the bathtubs were a little bigger.

Went to Feather Falls Casino for the first time last Saturday night. What a Fabulous surprise. So we parked and was met at the front door by super friendly staff, who held open the door for us, and as they did I was expecting 1 quite room with a few handfuls of machines. As I stepped inside I realized oh the parking lot was packed. It was hoping, there was a live band playing, the sound of machines paying out, and the size is secretly hidden from the outside view. We got our players card with no waiting in line. We had a great time, there are so many machines. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms were clean. A little hidden gem.

Had an absolutely stellar experience. The room was amazing, the food at the brewery was wonderful and the staff was more than friendly. I wasn't able to try any of the award winning beers sadly but I'll definitely be coming back.
Colin G — Google review
We were attending a wedding on the feather river and had minimal time to ge t ready after the scheduled check in. The Lodge was able to get us an early check-in! This gave us 3 extra hours to get 3 ladies ready and off to the venue. The room smelled nice and was clean. The staff was professional and very nice. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Just stopped in. On my way home. Didn't get rich but made a couple bucks there. Nice layout and plenty of games to play. Not real busy when we dropped in. Plan on stopping by again someday soon.

Super helpful staff. They could use more towels at the pool but I didn’t ask. If I had I have no doubt they would have brought more. We ended up staying an extra nite and canceling our rooms at our next destination. My Traveling Ape, Akut liked the bed too.
Chalene P — Google review
I haven't stayed in the hotel but I have spent plenty of time in the casino. The thing that impressed me was the slot techs and table dealers were very friendly. They went out of there way to let you have fun. I know the attitude of employees really determines my choice where I spend my time and money.

The sashimi at the casino main restaurant is very fresh and just as good as i've had at high end suahi bars for a fraction of the price. The portions are very large on the 3 boat sizes they offer. The other food they serve is also very good.. I've never had a bad meal here. Always great!

Gold Country Casino Resort is an award-winning hotel and casino located in Oroville, California. The resort offers modern rooms and suites, a lively casino floor with slot machines, card tables, and bingo games. Guests can enjoy various dining options, bars, bowling, and live entertainment at the Gold Country Event Center. The venue hosts a variety of shows including live comedy, music performances, and MMA fighting events.
The junior suite was very nice and the price was reasonable. Only minus for me were the pillows. Too high and bulky for me. I used a folded blanket instead. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location to downtown and fishing. Casino was nice and well lit. We had a great time.
Malia Y — Google review
The venue is visually impressive, but our experience was unfortunately disappointing. While waiting, we sat on some available couches. Shortly after, Hotel staff approached us and asked us to leave — with explanation this place for VIP and with no signs indicating that the area was reserved or off-limits. If the space is meant for VIP guests, that should be clearly marked. Everything appeared open to all visitors, and we weren’t violating any visible rules. The interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As for the slot machines — they look flashy and inviting, but the gameplay felt extremely tight. After trying several machines, we noticed that even minimal wins were rare, and there was no sense of fair play or excitement. It felt more like a one-way transaction than a game of chance. None a valuable bonuses. If you're hoping for a bit of fun or thrill, this may not be the place. Beautiful setting, but the overall experience lacked warmth, transparency, and hospitality.
Galina S — Google review
The Safire restaurant is worth going to. It's on the 6th floor, take the elevator up, and it feels very removed from the rest of the gaming atmosphere. Reasonably priced meals and service was good. Casino is big and has other bars/restaurants. Drinks were not expensive. It's smoky but not overwhelming. My gaming experience was a lot of up and down so you get to play, just leave when you're up! If you get a jackpot or a machine requires an attendant for any reason, be prepared to wait. For a casino this size, I'd expect the pay out process to be a bit more efficient. Parking was plentiful and the gas is the best deal around so fill up while you're here.

Very nice staff, beautiful casino. Bingo is fun there. Great food. Haven't stayed in a room as of yet. Hopefully the bingo bus from Anderson will be able to continue.

Good food selection at the restaurants. Gift shop looks interesting from the outside, but haven't been inside yet. Rooms are spacious, a little basic but nice & comfortable & clean. Casino host is warm, welcoming, professional. Great promo gifts. GC has the most generous free play I have seen, which makes the visit worth the drive. Rather out of the way, but we stop & hit thrift stores.
Kris S — Google review
The food at the restaurants are pretty good, but in terms of the casino, they treat their players like absolutely CRAP—especially loyal patrons. I’m a black card holder, the 2nd to last tier, and the way I was treated in my previous stay was utterly disrespectful and distasteful. I spend THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS here just to be treated like a nobody. They don’t respect their players, I do NOT recommend spending your time and hard earned money here—there are better options like feather falls and Hard Rock
Yu T — Google review
This Casino is only 8 miles from my house and my lady and I love to go and enjoy breakfast and dinner there With an anniversary, birthday or that special date night to selibrate the occasion. The bar on the 6th floor is a classy place to take your lady to and enjoy each other's company. Good food and service is great and reasonably priced.

The smoke was sooo bad in here couldnt stay long our throats were hurting. Not good air filtration systems? Also the machines all were terrible we had a $100 each and just kept going down. Not a fun first impression. The acorn cafe was good but that’s about it. We had a great time at feather falls the weekend or so before I kept $20 going forever there and my husband actually won some.

The restaurant's inviting atmosphere and friendly service make it a favorite among both locals and visitors. With its contemporary Chinese design, Tong Fong Low provides a pleasant dining experience for all.
Was a bit skeptical about the price, 5 items rang out to $87 and changed. But turns out it was all worth it. Tons of food! Big pieces of actual meat. Great flavors, the Honey walnut PRAWNS were the best I ever had, everything was fresh and uniquely flavored. I love having to pick fresh garlic and ginger out of my teeth 😋 after a meal like that. Seriously no reason to go anywhere else if you are in the area.

So... was so disappointing to buy 72 dollars worth of food then to have the chow fun have no seasoning..like it was just plain noodle and green vegetable. Then they did not give me hot mustard or chili oil. My husband went to get food last time and he had those sauces. Must of been because he was Asian and I am white.. I even tipped them 5 dollars for being good service to take my order and being patient with me asking about items. Everything else I bought was good but to pay that 17 dollar for veggie chow fun to be unseasoned that I've never had it..

I grew eating at this place, I knew it as Charlie’s. I now live in Alabama. My mom really wanted their food, and still is local. I called to make a payment over the phone and was greeted by the sweetest person. Jamie not only told me they don’t take over the phone payments but walked me through step by step on their website to make sure my mom got the meal she wanted. The online menu didn’t have what she wanted, and Jamie took the time to walk me through how to make the right changes to make the meal special for my mom. My mom finished her meal and called me to tell me it was soooo delicious. Growing up the staff and atmosphere was always delightful. I look forward to visiting sometime soon to thank the staff that went above and beyond for my mom’s order. My usual is the broccoli beef with low mien noodles. My mom and bonus dad LOVE their black peppered beef, orange chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and their bbq pork noodles. 10/10 would highly recommend them any day. From a childhood favorite to a place I always look forward to visiting when I’m in town. THANK YOU JAMIE and the staff that made sure I got the right food for my mom. You’re the VIPs

I never knew what the fuss was about this place, and I had been trying for years to fill the void left by Teriyaki Express and I finally found it. This really is the best Chinese restaurant in Oroville. I've never seen such a massive plate of food, and the food came out so fast and was actually high quality. Recommend this place 100%

BRING YOUR APPETITE! Visited Jan. 24th..see receipt. This place has massive portions! Tons of leftovers! It is located in Oroville California. Try the orange chicken with fried rice lunch special! All of the dishes are enough to share between 2 adults and still have leftovers! I am a petite lady so this is SO Much food! They are extremely quick and food is always consistent. Beer and wine. Takeout or dine in!

We went when they weren’t too busy at 7:30pm a group of 5 plus a baby makes half. We ordered too much, it was our first time here and they give you lots of food which is good! 👍🏻 The food was superb! Would come again! We ordered too much guess our eyes were bigger than our stomachs haha!!! Lots of leftovers which is nice to have the next day! Highly recommend! Also the staff were really nice to us! :)

We came for an overnight stay in orovilke after a full day hiking. We were hungry and very excited to try the food since it was well rated. We ordered three items. We are foodies and have had these dishes in many different restaurants all over Bay Area and in the world. 1) Salt and pepper ribs 3 star wasn’t very flavorful but not bad. We’ve had better garlic flavor was not strong and it seemed like it was out of a premade chopped garlic salt and pepper part not strong. Portions were huge so that’s 4 stars Overall 3.5stars 2) wonton soup 4stars The wonton themselves were blah and very bland and the wrappers were terrible. However they topped it with a stir fry of meat snd veggies sautéed in a nice sauce. I’ve never had that before and unusual but delicious pairing. The wonton ehhh but the rest of it was delicious 3) mixed chow fun special was delish 4 stars Noodles were decent semi fresh and the sauté and sauce was delish. (Same as what was on wonton soup) We had large portions which was a plus and we were hungry and still had leftovers. But the quality is so so since we are used to really good Asian food in our area(and we can cook some of it better)

Been going here for 30 years and it's been going down the toilet in recently. The food quality and consistency just isn't what it used to be and the serving staff doesn't seem to care anymore. Many of their plates are way too salty now and they charge automatic gratuity (tips) calculated on the after tax amount. You don't tip after the tax amount and you should inform the guests it's going to be charged before they order.

Park
Nestled along the serene banks of the Feather River, Bedrock Park is a delightful escape for nature lovers and families alike. This charming riverfront park boasts an array of amenities, including a splash park perfect for cooling off on warm days, fishing spots to reel in your next catch, and even a sandy beach area for sunbathing. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, there's a disc golf course that adds an element of fun.
My favorite park. A little flooded due to the release of water from the dam. Goats on site now eating the undergrowth. Peaceful and tranquil and there is a nature trail as a bonus
Cindy F — Google review
I went to Bedrock in July 2025. I was deeply saddened by what I saw. The once cool shady place was now not a shadow of its former glory. The trees had all been cut back to their trunks. The picnic tables were gone so was the simple swing set. The grass was brown. I walk over to take a look at the river. The pool that I spent so many summer days on was covered in moss. The smell of stagnant water filled the air. I felt it was my fault that a place that held so many memories was now abandoned. Where was I when it was decided that it would no longer be maintained? I am sorry Bedrock Park will no longer be a right of passage in Oroville. It was here I got my first kiss. What is left? Nothing.

This park has been a favorite place of mine for almost 60 years. If your kids love be the water it is the perfect place. No currents, not too deep, tadpoles, crawdads, etc...

Yes, it's a little trashy, but still totally lovely!

Bedrock is a beautiful, quiet park along the Feather River. There's BBQ pits, picnic tables and a nice long bike trail that connects to Riverbend Park if you bike West, and connects to the Feather River Nature Center if you bike East. The bike trail parallels the levee which runs along some of Oroville's most historic places, and best establishments such as The Chinese Temple, the mother orange tree, Historic Downtown, The Book Worm, The Municiple Auditorium, and Boss Burger. The main entrancr is also near the public skate park and tennis courts. Recently the bathrooms were burned down due to vandalism, but hopefully will be rebuilt soon.

OTHER THEN HAVING TO LOOK AT ALL THE HOMELESS PEOPLE AND TWEAKERS ITS A NICE PLACE. WAS GREAT AS A KID TO COME HERE AND SWIM BUT NOW THAT IM OLDER I DONT SEE HOW I TOLERATED THE COLD WATER. REGARDLESS ITS STILL A GREAT PLACE

This was my spot as a kid and we had just as much fun when I took my kids. The area was quiet. There were some people in the parking lot minding their business but I know sometimes it makes people uncomfortable. I love that there isn't a current and the water is clear. It also has plenty of shade close to the water that makes resting very comfortable.

The park features open-air pavilions for picnicking and nature viewing, as well as a popular water play area for kids. Additionally, visitors can look forward to future additions such as an Aquatic Park with various pools and waterslides. A highlight of the park is the Riverbend Disc Golf Course, offering free family-friendly entertainment for all ages.
It’s a decent park for the kids to play at during the day, best one in town! Some homeless come in, not like the others parks though. Great place to do photoshoots at! Contact me if you’re interested in a photoshoot done here 😉 (Luna Family Photography)

This is an amazing destination for families looking to enjoy a hike with their children. The trail offers a variety of scenic viewpoints, with lush greenery and vibrant wildflowers lining the path. There are gentle slopes that are perfect for young hikers, and plenty of shaded spots where you can take a break and have a picnic. Additionally, the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves create a peaceful atmosphere, making it a fantastic way to connect with nature and spend quality time together. It's a beautiful place to cast off your boat and just cruise along the lake. The park is well maintained and clean. The water is crystal clear and cool. The people we met there were friendly and accommodating by allowing us to launch and load the boat without hassle. Just got my feet wet today; driving the boat and enjoying the day on the lake with dear friends. It was a good day.

I didn't know what to expect and, having been through, I'm still not sure what I was supposed to get out of it, aside from a very dusty Jeep 😋. I did see a bunny, though! Very cute! And there was river access, in a way. I mean, you *could* jump into the Feather there (please don't do this) but there's no dock or boat ramp or anything from the gravel road there. (There is one elsewhere) I picked the number of stars more or less at random... I still kind of feel like I missed something.
Kat F — Google review
Pretty easy trails, moderately well kept roads. It's not very foresty, but there are some cool meadows and hollows, many with a lot of thorny vines. It appears that camping is allowed with a permit but is free for day use. I went in January and it was green for the most part but I think it would be brown and ugly in the dry season

During my recent visit to Saffire, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their calamari appetizer. Despite being in a small inland town, it turned out to be some of the best I've ever tasted—tender rings and large tentacles with a delicate tempura coating that was simply divine.
Exquisite and Outstanding. We had a great experience at Safire with a good meal. I recommend the filet and the spinach artichoke dip with the wedge. The staff and service were amazing. Fantastic atmosphere and drinks were great. Wanted to try the crème brûlée and the Macadamia chocolate nut pie but didn’t have room.

My first time at Saffire, I figured I'm taking a big chance ordering calamari appetizer in a small inland rural town. What a surprise to admit that these were some of the best calamari I've ever had. I prefer rings and tentacles over steaks, and these small rings and large tentacles were tender beyond compare. The tempura was delicate and crumbly. It was absolutely delicious. I sat at the bar where the bartender, Owen, was attentive without being intrusive and helpful in answering any questions I had. The menu surprised me when I opened it. It lit up, making reading it super easy. I actually returned yesterday evening to enjoy another calamari appetizer. I hear their crab cakes are divine also. The hours are odd, closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but good to know. I also enjoyed the Beet Salad, which was one of their specials yesterday.

Gussy was the best waiter! Everyone else was aight. The atmosphere would be 5 stars but they had a huge pepper grinder that made me uncomfortable. The food was very good but one of the servers put water in our lemonade. One of the waitresses took a sip of my Dr Pepper. They were all out of creme brulee which sent me into a fit of rage. One waiter asked if they could refill my "pepsi" which was in fact a Dr Pepper, and I said no thank you, and yet they brought me another one anyway. Strangely, they did not let me order the 260 ounce prime rib. When I tried to haggle the price from above $300 down to $15 they refused my offer. I could hear Santa laughing from somewhere else in the restaurant which added to the holiday cheer. Also they let me into the restaurant in a T-shirt. Overall 4.5 out of 5

The food was delicious. We started with their house salad which was so fresh and pretty tto look at. I wanted lamb, but they were out of it. Our waitress recommended the halibut. I had halibut. It had an exquisite sauce and the vetables were so delicious. My husband had salmon. He ate the broccali too! He loved the sauce. We were served 2 yummy breads, with an olive oil and vinegar type dipping mix. We had an awesume wine called Meiome which complimented the meal well. We had blueberry topping over cheese cake for dessert. My hubby gave me $5.00 to play as we were leaving, and we were pleasantly pleased with the winnings which paid for over half the meal. Great way to bring in the new year. Also our waitress was wonderful.

We had a party of 6 celebrating my daughter's 40th birthday....all I can say is fantastic! All the way around!!! from service to food to atmosphere . I had the best prime rib and garlic mash potatoes everrrrr....the only thing I would suggest....we didn't have a reservation but we were there for an early dinner 4:30...nobody there...my brother who is handicapped With a cane and wobbly had to walk down 2 sets of stairs (6 each)...6ft 4..275.lbs....ramp maybe? ....maybe should have sat us on the first level in dining room..anyways still a lovely dinner and thank you

Had a group of 16 people. We were seated right away. They took our drink order, didnt arrive for 30 min + we had a big party but at least start us off with drinks faster. They took our apps and entree order together. Apps are good, but pricey for what it is. Main course arrived 1 hr after arrival. But big party, thats fine. Prawn Pasta - prawns great, sauce and noodles not so much Pasta Puttanesca - dont recommend New York - steak was excellent. 15 potato was awesome as well. Lamb Shank- very tender, taste almost like french bourguignon. Salmon- somewhat dry, its eh. Presentation was pretty and all. This place is for an experience, overall it was ok.

First two table preferred were filthy. Black plates on table were dirty table clothes weren't pressed, and when seated the floor needed to be vacuumed. The host kept talking about husband and his surgery when I with most of the guest were coming and going. I thought that was very unprofessional. My food had no salt.I ordered pasta. The New York strip was good. Calamari tender but full of grease at bottom and breading was breaking away. I returned pasta and dessert menu was not even offered. Owen was the server his look worked for place but other than that horrible service. Ended up at Game Tyme with pastrami sandwich which was excellent and Evangelina had the best service every time. Service always superb!!!!!!

Based on the dark, burnt look and taste of the butterfly shrimp I had the displeasure of eating twice in one month, I would bet that fryer oil is at least one month old. Not good. Also had a salmon dish there and sent it back because it was warm but raw. Same with the second try, I came back about 10% better but not cooked as requested. I have had the Fila mignon a couple of times in the past and that was spot on. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen but the management needs to correct these flaws. Even the patrons leaving after eating there advised me that the food was terrible as I was entering Safire Lounge.

Sushi restaurant
Nori Downtown is a hidden gem in Oroville that sushi lovers simply cannot miss! This vibrant spot offers an impressive array of fresh and delicious sushi rolls, including favorites like the dragon roll and rainbow roll. Diners rave about the chef's special roll, which adds an element of surprise to your meal. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it perfect for families; kids will enjoy tasty options like salted edamame and crispy pot stickers.
Had a few couple dishes, such as the Takoyaki, Pork Buns, and Dragon roll, and I'd say they did a splendid job! The sushi they did not whole back on the amount a customer is suppose to have, they give you a good amount! The area is lively and enjoying to be at. It is pretty expensive especially with a big party, but the all the better to be at! It also has a Restaurant and a Bar that plays modern EDM music, (when I was there). I recommend going to this place to eat with family and friends once and awhile! Me personally would love to come back to eat.

1st time trying since they moved to this location. We came in at 6pm, place was packed after we sat down. Seemed like they only had 2 servers so service took awhile. But they were doing their best, and he even thanked for our patience. They have a bar but no beer on tap. Most of the dishes were $15-$20. 2 bao buns for $17. They were good but not $17 good. Calamari was honestly the star of the night. Tried the special Mien inspired Ramen, its like Pho and Ramen combined. Wasnt great. $20. Not worth. Pork Bulgogi was oversaturated with sauce, wont order again. Same with the Won ton tacos, they were oversaturated with sauce and overwhelmed the tuna flavor. Shrimp Pad Thai was good. Not too saucy, this is usually my go to. They do well here. I liked the laid back family style back at the old building, new place is loud, bar style atmosphere. Not my thing but might be a plus for some. Overall, will not coming back on my own.

AMAZING food! Must try the chefs special. Tell him whatever you want and he’ll make it happen! My wife and I ordered too much for the both of us but it was absolutely delicious. They played great music, had a very clean restaurant, and had wonderful service. Will definitely be coming here again in the future.

This place is 🔥 🔥 fire !!! Our dinner was so good! The rolls are good sized. Everything looks so fresh. I 🌟 LOVED 🌟 the takoyaki! Kids loved the salted edamame. All the sushi rolls were completely DeeLishhhh! I think our family’s favorite was the crunchy salmon roll. The chef special was bomb diggity. I only wish I would have asked for tobiko on my special because tobiko is my fave. Service was outstanding. Very attentive server. Thank you young man for the outstanding service. Everything was absolutely yummy and awesome. We will definitely come back here.

Located in downtown Oroville, Nori Asian Kitchen + Sushi offers a variety of Asian dishes in addition to some really excellent sushi. This review will solely focus on the restaurant's sushi offerings. Our group of three arrived in the evening for a weekday dinner and were seated without wait. We decided to go with their dragon roll, rainbow roll, and two of the chef's special roll. The chef's special roll is essentially a "surprise me" roll, in which the diner can provide some guidance (e.g. no cucumbers, nothing spicy) and leave it up to the sushi chef to practice their craft. I thought this was a particularly fun and interesting idea, and was definitely the highlight of our dining experience. Overall we enjoyed all four rolls, the fish was fresh, the rolls were flavorful, and everything was expertly prepared. If you happen to be in Oroville and are looking for a good sushi place in town, then this is definitely the place for you!

So the whole place is a decent size, not crowded at all and I went during lunch. The menu is small and sort of specific with the items they have available. I was hoping to find some festival goodies but this place didn't have any. Still though what i did order was good and well portioned. Tofu and vegetables in a rice bowl and a side of dumplings. It's a little pricey so if you want to spend a little more than usual then this place is ok.

This place is amazing! Huge rolls, everything I've tried has been awesome. Comparable to Mikuni's. The best calamari by far! Service is top notch

Literally sooooo excited that I found a sushi place Oroville! Finally made it to this nice place in Downtown Oroville. My friend and I ordered 4 different rolls(dynamite, spider, dragon, and rainbow) and they were all AMAZING. Pot stickers for an app and they were crispy and filled with goodness. I have always traveled to Chico for sushi and now I no longer feel the need 😍 Fresh and tasty rolls at a great price! And they have local beer on tap! Definitely going all the time ♥️

Mexican restaurant
Taqueria Estrella is an exceptional Mexican restaurant that consistently delivers delicious food. The #4 combo, ordered just before closing, was promptly served with a smile. The flavors were exquisite, and I'm thrilled that no one witnessed my rapid consumption of the scrumptious meal. The beans had a delightful spiciness, while the green chile added a delectable twist. A five-star rating is well-deserved for this establishment.
The food is outstanding everytime I eat there. She made me a Chili Relleno burrito that almost as big as a loaf of bread . The candy bars and lighter allow you to see how big it really is

Very pleasant and by far the best Mexican food i have ever had, and i have had a lot of Mexican food; just about everywhere in the Butte county.
Jeremy F — Google review
I go to Oroville each week from Chico and cannot pass up trying a different taco stand. So i was driving around without my GPS, lost, and spotted Estrella, not a taco truck at all, rather, a little grotty looking stand-alone in a miniscule street corner strip mall. -ish I was a bit taken aback at the price, 17.50 for 2 tacos with sides of beans and rice, but handed over a 20 and took my prize to the car. Famished, I dug in while still in the parking lot. And WOWZA, damn fine food!! I asked for a hot sauce..preferably habenero and ooh how delicious it is! The beans and rice were both exquisite...not the reddish salsa/rice mixture usually served up...this was the REAL DEAL. Still a little blown away at the price, but determined to go back. This tastes like pueblo made real Mexican food. Very good! I rated the atmosphere as 5 and some will disagree, but like the food, the atmosphere represents solidly the authentic flavor of old Mexico 🇲🇽 😋 👌 😀

Super happy I ate here. Got the #4 combo just before closing this evening. Received fast, friendly service. Food was really good, I'm glad no one saw me eat as I scarfed it down. Spicy, good beans, tasty green chile. 5 stars.

Their food is awesome and prices are decent and their services are quick and friendly. Definitely would recommend this place! Just be careful of the parking lot though because it's small and you don't get a whole of room lol but other than that it's a cool little spot. 🙂

This is a pretty well known place, especially for their baked goodies. We arrived with great expectations but were greatly disappointed. We ordered the basic breakfast items but what we got were subpar to what we have eaten at other diners. The eggs were clumpy, the biscuits & gravy were soggy, and the omelette was tasteless and unexciting. We didn't even stick around for their desserts. The overall experience was a big letdown.
T T — Google review
The people who own this also owned what is now called the cow, they retired. It's a shame because it's right next to a bunch of motels. On the road it's really nice to get a really good meal.

My father-in-law took us here for dinner. Service was fast and friendly. The food we got is satisfactory. The salad was good, although I think it was my body craving salad or just vegetable. I got the meatloaf with the toast and Mac and cheese, which I exchanged for fried pickle with my husband. The meatloaf and the fried pickle was eh, the toast was GOOD. The toast was perfectly toasted with butter and the rosemary makes it delicious! My husband got the 10oz ribeye sandwich with fried pickles(which said I exchanged with him). He loved his and he doesn't usually eat that kind of steak. Dad got regular BLT and fries. I think he's satisfied with it. All in all, good

Made a trek up to Surplus City, didn’t eat breakfast and was famished. Dana recommended coming here for lunch. Best food recommendation I’ve had in *years* The kitchen and dining rooms were super clean, friendly staff, cooks who care - respect for the customer and respect for the food goes a long way with me, and The Cow has the care and passion that makes everyone feel good and walk away happy. The Broasted Chicken was amazing. Crazy moist, *fresh*, superbly seasoned, and not greasy. Important to note: It was just as delicious cold the next day. Homemade red skin potato salad with a dilled, mustardy, aioli, and super thin red onion, seasoned well = perfect side. Their cornbread had just enough leavening to give it a little cake-like hint, but the tasty crumb of good, solid cornbread, with delicious real butter was to die for. The grilled elite corn on the cob was also a great addition as a side. And tho the garden salad was just fine, I skipped it for the main event. Good thing, I still had to take the smoked ribs home for dinner. Those smoked ribs….that rub. That rub was delicious and the St. Louis style slow smoked ribs never stood a chance. It’s easy to understand why there was a line out the door at lunchtime on a random Tuesday. If you’re anywhere near, or traveling near Oroville, you owe it to *yourself* to stop in and get some good food and some good comfort!

This scenic, expansive basalt mesa features opportunities for nature viewing, hunting & hiking.
Phantom Falls in Oroville is an amazing spot for anyone who loves nature and scenic views. The hike to the falls offers breathtaking landscapes, especially in the spring when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The rolling green hills, basalt rock formations, and panoramic views make it a picture-perfect destination. The trail itself is not difficult at all—though there are some rocky and uneven sections, it’s very manageable for most hikers. Along the way, you can also visit Ravine Falls, which adds another beautiful stop to the journey. The best time to visit is after winter rains (between December and April), when the waterfall is flowing at its best. There aren’t any facilities, so bring water and wear sturdy shoes. Overall, a fantastic hike with incredible views that’s definitely worth the trip!
Masoud M — Google review
Like other wildflower areas, it can be hit or miss depending on the season. Even without a "superbloom" (a word that gets tossed around way too much) it's a nice area to wander. Literally like a table top, it's mostly a flat hike, though there's a few places the trails dip down and back up. We did a tour of most of the area, which was a 7 mile hike and under 1,000' of elevation gain. The year we went the flowers were probably a 6/10, some, but not a lot. Other years can be spectacular. Phantom Falls was but a trickle, but earlier in the season it can be more impressive. Mostly, the kind of dirt here doesn't turn into thick mud when wet, so you could come right after a rain and not have to worry so much about sticky, difficult mud. Almost no shade out on the plateau, so be prepared if it's hot and sunny. Obviously this place can get crowded, we arrived around 8 and the lot was already filling up and a lot of people starting out on a hike. It's easy enough to get space however, though some of the popular areas and near the parking can be quite crowded, borderline zoo. We prefer hikes with more of a challenge, not so flat, but it was a nice day, and decent scenery.
Allan R — Google review
Kind of hard to not love this place during spring bloom. It’s really great to see developed trail system emerge over the years so the big flower displays have fewer random trails zig zagging through them. A couple of amazing waterfalls within a reasonable hike from the parking lot too.
Damon T — Google review
This is just such an incredible place. We went last month and it was in full bloom, wildflowers everywhere. Truly breathtaking. One thing to note is the hikes to get to the first waterfall and then the second one are TOUGH if you are not in shape. You traverse down and up fairly steep rocky paths with not much room. The view is well worth it. Make sure to pack sun screen, but spray, and plenty of water!
Birdy — Google review
Got there early, before 8am. Rangers show up after that. Day pass QR code is on sign by entrance. Peak season, so 12 port-a- johns plus permanent toilet. Trail is a loop with small inner loop. Can go south to Hollow falls or north to Upper Ravine falls, and either way meet at Phantom falls. The inner loop is a much harder trek to the Middle Ravine falls. The trail is easy when it's pasture, and hard basalt gravel and rock face when it's not. Dogs paws require protection, and they are not allowed in the water because of E.coli from the cow patties upstream. Many times the trail gets narrow, so a very short leash is needed. People afraid of dogs plus other people's dogs are in very close proximity. Young children, toddlers and babies in backpacks are not recommended on the inner loop because maintaining balance is a challenge.
Erik O — Google review
Beautiful Waterfall Hike – Wear Good Boots! Stunning trail with amazing waterfalls and lush scenery. Totally worth it for the views! But the path is very rocky and uneven, so sturdy hiking boots are a must. Be prepared, and you’ll love it.
The F — Google review
Yes, there are wild flowers in the spring. The path starts out easy, then turns into a hazard for walking/hiking. Loose rocks (basalt) down hill/up hill both ways. We didn't make it to the waterfalls because the trail becomes dangerous for us. Uneven, no 'real' stairs to shimmy down or crawl up. Yes, we are older, but we also have done plenty of day hikes. This one is not for those unsteady on the feet. Port-a-pottys are filthy.
Bonnie K — Google review
The area contains many easy to moderate trails on top of the plateau. Flower bloom could be seen during spring time. Crowded during weekends and holidays but otherwise a pleasant experience for hike, picnic, and trail running.

Literally one of my favorite places on earth. What a magical and unique experience to see some of the best animals up close. Literally a once in a lifetime place we come to as much as we can.
Sabrina M — Google review
The condition these animals live in are horrible. They have no grass or room to run around most barely have room to walk back and forth more than 10 steps each way. It was hot when we went and they barely had shade and no misters to keep them cool. They should be taken to an actual sanctuary. This is not a sanctuary it’s a prison.
Jms — Google review
Great place, this is mainly a rescue center, but some animals did not need to be there. I'm talking about how in the description it tells you why that animal is there, many of the animals were there because of nutritional program where they do lots of testing. Not bad prices 10$ for adult and 6$ for kids.
Lexi — Google review
We really enjoyed this place. I know some people are noting that the animals don't have big habits for space, but I'm happy that they are being taken care of. Not all of them are able to be rehabilitated to the degree that they can be transferred back out to the wild. When we were done looking at all of the animals, we found a very nice spot on the grounds to have our little picnic lunch. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable here, also. We will be back!
Debora G — Google review
Such a cool hidden place! I’m so glad we went and visited. Had a great time and the caregivers of this sanctuary are super nice and you can tell it’s not just like some ‘Zoo’ where they mistreat their animals. Highly recommend going there just as a day trip(:

Absolutely Amazing! Definitely pleased with animals, people, and accommodations. Everyone is friendly and pleasure to speak with. The animals did not disappoint. They were up walking around, we got to see feeding time, and hear a few roars. They had golf cars that we could use, free of charge, for all 6 of us. Nice touch for me being disabled and my 2 pregnant daughters. Such a Great experience! 👍🏽

It was amazing to see all the animals up close. They really are amazing this place works solely on donations they rehabilitate some animals and then house some that cannot be placed back in the wild all the staff are volunteers they do have days where you can arrange to take pictures with baby animals and they very so stop by and visit them and if you can sponsor an animal talk to a volunteer about how

Overall the park grounds where well maintained. There's a lot of different exotic animals to view.. The staff was friendly & kind. The surrounding land on the drive, to the park was pretty. It's a quiet place & u can also bring ur lunch if u wanted (picnic area) inside that's shaded. Overall.. I gave 3 stars bcz I feel, that these animals are being kept in too small of cages! I unfortunately, won't come back bcz I didn't enjoy seeing that part of the park! It's my own opinion. Everything else was great.

Beautiful trail about 1.5 miles out easy hike. Ravine and phantom falls are amazing. If you have the time and mobility I highly recommend going past phantom falls and hike down into the ravine where you will be greeted with the most amazing experience. Seen lots of wildlife such as salamanders frogs turtles and multiple snakes. Please be respectful and don’t carve your name into rock or trees.

If you’re looking for a breathtaking hike with waterfalls, wildflowers, and panoramic views, Phantom Falls at North Table Mountain is a must-visit. The hike takes you through rolling green hills, vibrant wildflowers in spring, and rocky basalt formations, all leading to the spectacular 135-foot seasonal waterfall.
Masoud M — Google review
Beautiful scenery. It was worth the trip, and I would suggest hiking down to the waterfall since you've made it that far. Tips: Pay for the land pass online before arriving. You can still scan the qr code at the entrance, but it's better if you just do it online in advance. You can reach Phantom Falls via Cherokee road since Google Maps will take you to the incorrect entrance that's forbidden. Highly recommend bringing hiking shoes/boots and water.
Brian B — Google review
Currently, there's a $5/person entrance fee that is paid online. Largely based on the honor system. Views out into the valley and across to the buttes are terrific. The rock formations are fascinating. Hiking is mixed. Some areas easily walked, while some areas are steep and footing can be loose. Most areas require constant looking down, due to the rocky nature. Not a good hike for persons with disabilities or compromised balance. There's definitely a range of dates that are the sweet spot for visiting. Late March to mid-April has the wild flowers. But it can be quite muddy during the rainy times. Very little shade on the hiking paths. You can grab a little shade at the water fall areas, but the rest wide open skies. Be sure to check the wind conditions. It can get very gusty out here. Lots of portable toilets at the entrance. But, be prepared, the tissue was empty during our visit.
Dan E — Google review
Hopefully you enjoy the rain as that will be the best time to hike this. The falls will BE there but no promises on water actually falling. If you plan it around some rain like I did you’ll get to see them calm their glory. There are about 4 in the area: Ravine Falls, Phantom Falls, Hollow Falls, and another falls further down the Hollow Falls stream. The last one will require about another 2 miles of hiking. Trail is dog friendly. Requires a lands pass or valid CA hunting/fishing license.
KICKING C — Google review
Beautiful place! Went in late January. Tips: - Make sure to bring water and proper sun protection. - Bring good shoes for hiking. The floor has lots of rocks you'll be stepping on. - Keep your hands free (or bring a walking pole) for parts of the hike that require more balance. Some parts are steep and others require walking across streams / stepping on wet rocks!

All i say is very refreshing once you get to the falls. I went to Phantom Falls with my girlfriends and arrived at around 9AM of April 26,2024. Before i joined their hiking invitation i search the place of how it look like and omg it really is amusing view and the experience is so memorable. Better bring jacket or coat because wind blows and it makes you cold 🥶. Wear hiking shoes especially non-slippery shoes. Visit it before summer because the blooming flowers and water falls will vanish.

Nice clan facility. All seats have a good view of the stage, but in my own opinion the middle to the back seats are best to get a full view. If you sit to close you are lower or stage level and depending on what is being seen it’s hard to see what’s on stage. Only thing that is a minor complaint is there is not many restrooms, and the main restrooms are upstairs. They do have a family/handicap restroom downstairs but it’s just one.

Lake Oroville Dam

Historical landmark
Lake Oroville Dam, completed in 1968, is one of the 20 largest dams globally and the tallest earth-filled dam in the United States. It was constructed to provide water to Southern California through the California Aqueduct. The dam has become a popular spot for locals who enjoy jogging across its massive structure on weekends. In recent years, the area has faced challenges such as lightning-induced fires that caused significant damage and ongoing renovations.
I love coming here. Police patrol a lot so I feel safe. There are several bathrooms, so you don't feel isolated. Don't leave valuables in your car, but I never had a problem. I'm a native Californian, and I really feel like I'm in God's country when I walk up here.
Elizabeth A — Google review
We had an incredible walk across the dam. There was a thunderstorm in the distance to the north that we were watching for the first half of the walk. There were many families walking as well. It was fun to see the construction crews still repairing the damage from 2017.
Randal L — Google review
A wonderful view, beautiful scenery, and an interesting story. I appreciate DWR and parks for the pristine condition the facility is in.
David S — Google review
It was on fire... literally! All the trees on north side of dam were going up in smoke due to multiple lightning strikes causing 29 fires in one morning. Such a sad, scary sight... I live in the community next to where pictures were taken and go for family walks here with our dogs. Fire has taken too much away from our county over the last decade and has once again shaken the entire community.

Love this place!. Walking the dam again & having the Spillway Launch opened with tons of improvements, awesome. Take a drive on Orodam East & enjoy the views (people watching too...).

If you're on the hunt for some of the finest Chinese cuisine in town, look no further than Uncle Ping's Express! This cozy spot may have limited seating, but it shines as a go-to destination for takeout. With an extensive menu featuring everything from flavorful curries and hearty soups to rice dishes and noodles, there's something for everyone—including vegetarian options. While sushi isn't on the menu, their dinner combos are a fantastic deal; you can select one entrée paired with fried rice and chicken chow mein.
I came in for dinner today and although they were busy they were able to take everybody’s orders quickly. A few customers in front of me ordered $180 worth of Chinese food. And they ended up closing 30 minutes early to be able to finish all of the orders on time. With that being said, though prices are within reasonable price. It does appear that prices have gone up a little bit in March. But what prices haven’t gone up in this economy. Highly recommend if you’re looking for really good tasting authentic Chinese food. I especially recommend their lunch combo which is serve Monday through Friday 11 AM to 2 PM. You can either get combo A for $9.50, combo B for $11.50, or Combo C for $14.50. It didn’t appear that there was an updated menu online, so see pictures below for most updated menu (3/25/2023).

We are so happy that the original owners came back. Ordered dinner combo, beef chow fun and of course gotta order their salt and pepper pork chops. Food was amazing like I remember when they were still there. Will most definitely coming back again now that the original owners are back.

All the food we ordered was GREAT and so was the service! The Egg Foo Yong was the best ive had yet! Only reason they got 3 stars was i dined in and they served us on very wastful styrofoam plates and plastic forks! Step it up guys for a 5 star rating! Still the best Chinese food in Oroville. Still the same problem with the Styrofoam. My food went into the box so hot it melted the box! Why don't you use traditional Chinese take-out style boxes!?
Dimitri's D — Google review
Fast, friendly service. Huge tasty portions, and super affordable. Very clean dining room and kitchen. Hidden gem for Chinese takeout in Oroville, they should get way more business than they do. If you're looking for classic American Chinese takeout flavors, this is the place.
Jay D — Google review
Some of the best Chinese in town! Seating is a bit limited, but this is definitely more of a to go oriented establishment. Plenty of dishes to choose from. Curry, soups, rice, noodles, and vegetarian options too. No sushi, unfortunately. Dinner combos are a good deal. Choose one entree and they'll serve it up with a side of fried rice and some chicken chow mein. They have a "steam table" for lunchtime--somewhat like Panda Express, where you choose rice or noodles and 1, 2 or 3 entrees. My favorite thing here is the definitely the chow mein. These noodles ARE the best in town, and I've tried them all.

Taqueria Maria's is a hidden gem with incredibly friendly staff and reasonable prices. The portions are generous, making even a simple bean and cheese burrito a satisfying meal for the hungry or a shared snack. The self-serve sodas for dine-in customers add to the convenience, while the simple yet well-cared-for decor creates a pleasant atmosphere.
The food is not only delicious, but the portions are HUGE! A simple bean and cheese burrito is a meal for the hungry, or a snack for two. The decor is simple and out of thew way, it gives it the feeling they actually cared to make the place look nice. The service is great as well, seeing as it is a small family run place I expected no less. Liked: Huge portions, good food, nice employees.
Jesse D — Google review
Very good! Staff was incredibly friendly and the prices were competitive and reasonable. Easy to find a seat and the sodas were unlimited self serve for dine in. I ordered the chimichanga with chicken, it was a good size and yummy. The chips and salsa are free for dine in, and the only reason this is not 5 stars is because I am a bit of a c&s junkie and these were not to my taste. That shouldn't stop anyone from trying this little hidden gem, though! Definitely worth a visit!
Nephelle 7 — Google review
They changed owners and the prices went up a lot. Bad customer service. I paid over 30$ for two burritos and 5 mini tacos. I paid extra for avocado and didn't receive it. I called right away to let them know and she told me I was wrong and she knows she added it. She didn't. She was very rude and tried to make me sound like a liar. Very disappointed as I was a very loyal customer with the last owners. Will not go back. Not worth the money.
Ryan E — Google review
We thought the reviews were great here, but sometimes they aren't as they say folks. The food we had here were old, dried, barely any meat on, over stuffed with beans to make it look well balanced, nasty oil sauce surrounding the food. The only thing great was the soft drinks they had and the mild sauce they had, it is too spicy to called "Mild" though, but I liked it.
See L — Google review
If your looking for something better than fastfood and a warm setting this is the place. The cook has changed but improving every time I've went to eat there. The service is good and informative if you have any questions about what is what they are eager to make your visit a comfortable one.
Kirk D — Google review
The new owner is rude! The prices have gone up and the menu has gotten smaller. This used to be my favorite Mexican food place in Oroville, not anymore. My boyfriend had been eating there since he was a kid and he won't go back after how rude the owner was to him that last time he went. It's sad that she doesn't understand how customer service works and now owns a restaurant. I might go in just to buy the green sauce to use on another restaurant's food...
Jessica B — Google review
Great prices, mini street tacos are delicious. Chato burrito (same as super but smaller) is also very good..I get the asada or chicken. Update as of 10-7-17. New ownership I believe, menu is different. Food was still good, but it's not the same.

I had a Chile Verde supreme burrito one day and went back today and had the Chile relleno supreme burrito. Both were "wet" burritos with red sauce on them, and they were fantastic! Excellent authentic taste, lots of food, and friendly staff. I'll be back :)

The last two times I went to this place told me they do not want my business. After waiting in line for over 5 minutes taking one customers order, I stepped up to the window and the person inside didn't even stop to say one moment please. and walked away. He was right in front of me. Totally ignored me. I waited for two minutes.and walked away. Same thing happened 2 months ago. I have tried the tacos about a year ago, but a customer bought them for the both of us. I thought they were tasty and that's why I tried to order some for my wife and I. Nothing doing. I can take a hint when I feel one. Good luck with this one.

I have been going to this location from day one and the sister location for as long as they were open last 2 visits have been way less then favorable I tried to say something yesterday while one of the employees was making my order and he just kept on doing what he was doing not listening to me so let me say I dont complain much but when I order and I get as much meet as a taquito on all 7 tacos 5 of one flavor 2 of another and the guy next to me gets enough for 3 tacos on each one there is a problem I did notice he was Latino and im a white guy but the other regular employees usually make things great but the guy helping me does not know me THAT SHOULD NOT MATTER EVERYONE SHOULD GET TREATED FAIRLY thats the second time I have had a problem the first time was possibility just cuz they may have been low or out of chilli Colorado but my order was very incorrect I tried to call but no one answered so I stopped after an hr of calling back then they were closed so I let that one go but after yesterday and the price he charged me was more then every other employee has ever charged for 7 tacos something has to be said here they may not care or reply to this but I have said my piece and everyone can see what has happened. We have a very big selection of places to go but I chose to drive way out of my way to support them as I have for many years.do better people dont look at someone and make their order skimpy and charge them more becuse they are not Latino. We everyone that comes there has green money thats all that should matter. Im done with my review so take this and deside what you as owners want to do
Steven C — Google review
When you are hungry one of those burritos will fill you up! That's the truth! However, there are more beans with rice and fillers then the ratio of protein, ie, meat. I would suggest omitting the rice and adding extra meat even if you have to pay a little extra...
Andrea M — Google review
We stopped in to try this place I got two chicken fajita tacos and my husband got the super burrito in pork. The service was good, the food was excellent. Really nice flavors, portion was really good for the price. Really enjoyed it and will make a trip back. Well worth it.
Sharon S — Google review
maybe try writing down the order so you get it right, every time you get it wrong it's somehow the customers fault, then you argue with them - obviously don't care about customer service and you are just a miserable person - back to Taco Bell, at least they get the order right and are pleasant to deal with - and to think we always tipped you too, you have no business dealing with people!

For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Feather River Canyon. A beautiful location! This stretch has plenty of fishing and camping opportunities. Look for the seams in the river. Either dry flies or nymphs, both work very well and there are some toads in here. Head east to find camping, it’s a secret site with river access (Indian Jim’s elementary school), flat parking , and fire rings. Be cautious of the dangers of rising water due to the pg&e powerhouses (flows can increase at any moment).

If you're looking for some beautiful scenery, then look no further. We loved the drive through the canyon! We tried fishing the river but didn't catch any fish. That's why they call it fishing, lol. Would drive this route again in a heartbeat.

A lovely, scenic drive. The area was devastated by the Dixie Fire, so there are still a couple of hold-ups along the highway, but the area is looking better. The Bidwell Bar Bridge, first suspension bridge of California, was transported from New York via Cape Horn 1853 and was completed 1856. Privately built as a toll bridge & costing $34,922 . It boasts a beautiful view of the new Bidwell Bar bridge just across the lake & Bidwell Marina restaurant & bar & campgrounds. Floating campgrounds make for an exciting evening with boats & kayaks for rent at the floating marina store.

Lake Oroville is spectacular this time of year. It's hard to keep the fish off your line. Big bass mornings and evenings. Lots of deep coves to shelter from the wind. The bridge is like a mini golden gate bridge. Before the dam was built it was the tallest bridge in the United States. Boating underneath it takes you to the Middle fork and South fork of the lake. A must see bridge.

The Mother Orange Tree of Butte County, California, is a living testament to resilience and history. Originating from Mazaltan, Mexico, this citrus sapling arrived in Sacramento and captivated locals with its exotic and sweet oranges. Its seeds were spread far and wide, giving rise to a generation of citrus farmers whose trees can still be seen today. Planted in 1856 near Bidwells Bar, the tree was relocated during the construction of the Oroville Dam in 1964.
It's tucked away near a ranger station bring a pole if ya want an orange lol. Not as tall as she once was but still great fruit if you can reach it.
Rudy G — Google review
How fantastic is this. These types of places are the reasons we take road trips. Who would have expected to find something of this historical significance off a small country Highway here in the foothills. How much fun is this!
Brian G — Google review
The tree was purchased in the streets of Mazatlan, Mexico, as a 2-3 year old sapling. In 1856 it was planted in the town of Bidwell Bar. In 1964, when the river was dammed, creating Lake Oroville, it was moved to it's present location, out of harm's way. It's mind-boggling that this tree is still bearing fruit at 175 years old...
James S — Google review

Historic Sites
The Last Yahi Indian refers to Ishi, the last surviving member of the Yahi people, who emerged from hiding in 1911 after years of seclusion following the California genocide. He was discovered near Oroville and subsequently worked with anthropologists to reconstruct Yahi culture before his passing in 1916. A historic landmark near Gold Country Casino & Resort commemorates the site where Ishi was found, offering visitors a glimpse into this poignant piece of history.
This location commemorates the chilling, tragic and complete genocide of Yahi Native Americans, and the encounter between Ishi, the last Yahi, and several anthropologists from UC Berkeley.
Greg N — Google review
Amazing that Ishi wandered out to this spot to find help.
Episodic F — Google review
It's a historical marker on a random residential street. I would like to see more about Ishi There, as well as the perspectives of the Indigenous people that worked to return his remains to their undisclosed location.
Christina F — Google review
Love the history of the location, but am saddened to see how little attention this locale is given. Would like to see more to honor the importance of the site and it's role in the life of the last Yahi. Recommend people go up to the visitor center if you'd like to learn more about Ishi.
Jeffrey S — Google review
Four stars for a historical place with a kinda sad story of ISHI! I lacks what it should be! A rock monument and a pick nick table next to a busy road! You can learn more about ISHI and his people at the Oroville Dam Visitors Center! Decent little self guided tour of The Dam and it construction! Some history!

I just got out of rehab where the food was so-so. I came into this restaurant for the 1st time and was delighted to one of the best burgers I ever had. Most burger joints say they're burgers are juicy. Mike's burgers were dripping with juicy meat flavor. Nothing ruins a burger like a crummy bun. Not the case here. Awesome. Thank goodness I was sober to enjoy the best burger ever. Just another reason to stay sober so I can come back and enjoy Mike's delicious burgers.

Excellent burger and the best fries. Burger combos are $20 or more, so it is a little bit to high price, but the food is excellent. The location is not so good in the back of a bar. Excellent customer service.
Jason D — Google review
Awesome experience! I ordered a cheese burger with a side of fries, my grand mother ordered a mushroom burger and a side salad. We both got medium drinks, the total came out to $46! A little pricey……… Average portions, great quality food, amazing service, clean sitting area (they even have tables with checkers!), I would 100% go here again, but by myself with a cost this high. A side of fries runs you $5, the burgers start at $10, add a slice of cheese for $2, the medium drink is a standard small, a foam cup might I add, and you go up to grab your food. $50 for 2 people on an average meal….maybe next time I’ll have to utilize the bar and ask some questions about the quality to get a better understanding of the cost. I worked at a bar and grill who ordered the same fries frozen in a bag for about the same price these fries cost cooked as a side.

A nice way to return to civilization after a long weekend in the forest. Delicious burgers with soft buns, generous patties, and fresh toppings. And the chili was amazing! We didn't drink this time, but the bar looked good too. Chill little slice of Americana.

These people work hard to ensure your meals are prepped with quality ingredients and a clean fun atmosphere. The prices match the quality. You get what you pay for. These guys are the best for dining and drinks to relax after a long shift.

It was national burger day so we tried this place...Great juicy burgers and crunchy fries! A bit on the expensive side. Full bar and indoor and outdoor seating. Pet friendly! Free peanuts at the bar! Tvs to watch sports. Great friendly vibe! Definitely be back !

The restaurant was very clean and so was the restrooms. Our waitress was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. I ordered a philly tri-tip sandwich with garlic fries. My order arrived quickly, and was very hot. My sandwich was delicious. The reason I gave Mike's a 4 star rating was his tempura breading on the fries. The breading gave the fries a fishy flavor. I enjoyed my visit, I hope to try a hamburger next time.

OMG my new favorite place in Oroville! The fish tacos/shrimp tacos are phenomenal! My husband likes the wings! The homemade tater tots are like hash brown balls with a tiny spice and are delicious, the Korn burritos are like taquitos with means and cheese inside! I have been eating here almost everyday for the last month or so that's how good it is. Right now they are open Tues-Fri 11am-7pm Sat-Sun 11-4pm Dine-in and take out!

Dog park
Park
Pat Alley Memorial Dog Park is a popular attraction in Oroville, offering a budget-friendly option for visitors. The park provides ample space for dogs to run and play, with picnic tables for owners to relax. It is located close to the Feather River, allowing dogs to cool off after their playtime. Additionally, the park offers opportunities for biking, walking, and running while enjoying the scenic surroundings. Visitors can also make use of the small boat launch for activities such as kayaking.
This is an excellent Park! I've been to a lot of dog parks and this one's got everything for dogs, plenty of room for them to run and play around in and very nice picnic tables for the humans. There's a lot of birds and squirrels and the river is so close they can cool off after they play. What more could you ask for? My two Mexican rescues had a really good time here chasing squirrels and swimming in the Feather River. They got some real quality play time and we all stood around laughing and watching them romp.
Anthony F — Google review
My husband & I like to bring our three dogs here! There are two sides to the fenced dog area, which we prefer since our dogs range from XS to XXL. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and time out in nature together! Although it can be busier on nice days and weekends. We recently discovered that there is a hidden geocache at this park along the walking trails in the back, which was exciting! This park could be improved by more maintenance, such as on the water fountains in the dog park. (We always bring our own water & bowls)
Adrienne S — Google review
This place is in serious need of maintenance. Not useable. Very overgrown and they have stacked fallen trees in the back half of the park. The whole south side of Feather River park is "under Restoration" since the flooding a few years ago. Hopefully it will be finished soon.
Crystal S — Google review
Would be nice except the nasty, gross, no job having, substance abusing, lost everything including the kids, fire burned everything homeless, oh wait, I'm homeless. Hmm now I have mixed feelings. Shall I hate myself?
Eric B — Google review
The fence around the "dog park" is about 2 feet tall. Bigger dogs can hop over without even touching the top. It's a joke. The only dogs I see staying in the "dog park" are either tiny dogs or really fat ones that can't jump. Oroville needs a real dog park with a real fence.
Dember — Google review
Good place to bike ride, walk, run and enjoy the scenery. Theres a small boat launch ideal for kayaking. The park was clean and well maintained, I was impressed. There was homeless people here and there, they were polite and minded their own businesses.
Jaime S — Google review
I took my puppy here and a lady came up to me and said. You should be careful when you come here some of the dogs here aren't so nice. She was the only other person there at the time. Her great big ole dog was really friendly. The way she said it was like I shouldn't have come . Who is she the park police .. how about mind your own business. You approached me from way across the park . Some people. If you have a vicious dog keep it on a leash . You CAN walk your dog at the park on a leash .

It was able to walk right in the gate and walk the grounds of the entire yard and sit on a bench and enjoy my solitude and my peace time you are allowed to just tore the grounds all by yourself and hang out as long as you like. I have been there four times so far no one has bothered me it is a nice historical landmark and I'm glad they let the public come in to look around.

Attended a wedding there today and the experience was fantastic. Beautiful venue. They had everything you need in a kitchen, in chairs and tables. Lovely grounds. It's was a great afternoon!

Beautifil venue for a wedding. Sorry to say, they need to do some maintenance on the outdoor reception area. Several of the fans were either missing or broken. On a hot day, that can make the difference in comfort for LOTS OF FOLKS. All in all, a nice place.

The Oroville Chinese Temple is a 19th-century historical landmark that offers a fascinating insight into the influence of Chinese immigrants during the California Gold Rush. The temple features original rooms such as the Main Temple and Chan Room, as well as later additions like the Tapestry Hall and The Garden. Visitors can explore a collection of Chinese and American costumes, cultural artifacts, and exhibits in this beautifully decorated temple.
Such a cool local educational experience with an extensive amount of historical artifacts that came from China. The docent was so interesting and culturally sensitive and aware: he’s a valuable resource and community gem! I’m so glad we came from San Francisco and did the tour and definitely recommend! Learning about the history of Chinese immigrants in Oroville is a worthwhile visit. Fyi, the temple only accepts cash and checks.

Very cool California historic location just down the street from The Table Top Bridge and literally yards from The Feather River. One of my favorite spots to walk in Oroville.

What a charming little treasure! The Chinese Temple in Oroville is a beautifully preserved landmark rich with history and culture. For just $4, you not only get a fascinating glimpse into the past—you also help support the preservation of this important site. I learned so much during my visit and was truly impressed by how well-kept and thoughtfully maintained everything is. A huge thank you to the volunteers who make this experience possible. If you enjoy learning about local history or exploring cultural heritage, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s a meaningful, affordable, and enriching way to spend an afternoon.
Brett B — Google review
Admission is $4 per person, cash only. I was born and raised in China. I have been to many grand temples in China. But the place hits different. It was built by the Chinese traveled here during the Gold Rush. Exploring the lives of the Chinese in Northern California from a century ago is truly fascinating. This place resembles more of a shrine than a temple because "temple" is generally used for Buddhist religious worship and the living quarters of monks. This place is dedicated to various mythological deities, including the plaque that reads "Hall of the Sacreds."
Sheldon P — Google review
Wonderfully preserved, historical temple site. The docent was very knowledgeable and answered all questions, very helpful. The garden within the complex is inspiring. Give yourself ample time to wander around, browse the artifacts and take in the vibes.

Bolt's Antique Tool Museum, established by Bud Bolt in 2006, is renowned as one of the largest and most comprehensive antique tool museums in the United States. With a collection of over 12,000 tools and artifacts dating back to 400 B.C., including items from ancient civilizations like Egypt and Rome, it offers a fascinating journey through the history of tools.
Awesome displays. Amazed on array of tools, cleanliness, research including date and inventors names. The detailed design of each panel looked as lovely as quilt patterns. I brought my friend also a fan of tools. He was impressed. Thank you for your dedication to this museum.
Carolyn M — Google review
This is the largest hand tool collection in North America! Very well organized with sections of pliers to shoe maker tools, barbed wire and black smithing as well. For such a small museum, it packs a pretty big punch! Definitely worth the trip if you're into tools at all and even if you aren't. The docents are very knowledgeable and when you get to hear some of the history and stories behind the pieces that have been collected, it's easy to get hooked in. You can also take home a souvenir of your trip from books, t-shirts and lots of other fun stuff.
Adam L — Google review
I went there with a friend who was friends with the owners . Everyone was so incredibly friendly and them joking around together made it a wonderful experience. The old tools were very cool. I loved this place !
Kris F — Google review
Not really into the tools myself but fascinating to see and appreciate one man's life long passion and the museum he built.
David K — Google review
This place is incredibly cool. Billed as the largest tool collection on the planet its probably true. The guy that guided me through was as antique as the tools themselves and knew a little story about just about all of them. I was the only one there on a weekend afternoon which is a pity considering how many people love tools. Go and enjoy a simple pleasure. Tools.
David R — Google review
Not only can you see over 13,000 tools beautifully mounted on the walls, and identified and databased, but there are presentations on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except December). Their website gets over 50,000 hits a month! People write in asking for help identifying tools or sharing their finds. Many experts in diverse fields (mechanical, electronic, steel working, finances, etc.) are speakers and explain the tools of their trades. Oftentimes when a topic is related to cars, tractors, military vehicles, stationary engines, etc. the parking lot will be FILLED with examples where discussions continue. The museum was founded by Bud & Laila Bolt 11 years ago; they donated 6,000 of their tools to the city to get things off and running. One of Bud's goals was to be open 7 days a week and the museum has been doing that for some years now. Groups like the local DAR chapter and the Old Time Fiddlers use the facilities in the evenings... it's a nice building, with good heat and air conditioning. Please, bring your family and friends and check it out! Hit the website to see what might be coming up talk-wise to add to your experience. And... remember, that if you have old tools you'd like to share, come by and see if yours are already represented or if they'd be appreciated donations.

They do have a lot of tools. Most of them are very old and many are very rare. They have binders with the history of the tools but it is a bit awkward to look up an individual tool. The presentation of them could be a little better but the building is limited on size so I think they are doing the best they can with what they have. Only just a small portion of their tool collection is on display but it is still a lot of tools.

Asian fusion restaurant
Pho Noodle House is a family-run restaurant that offers authentic Thai, Lao, and Asian-style cuisine. Known for its homemade broth and generous portions, the menu features a variety of options including carnivorous classics and vegan dishes. The restaurant is praised for its fresh ingredients and diverse menu that caters to different dietary preferences. Visitors appreciate the delicious food, which includes vegetarian and healthy choices, as well as the delightful coffee and teas available.
Visited August 27th..always see my receipt. What a FANTASTIC find in Oroville! I came in here with my friend for dinner at 430pm ( when they open for dinner service). We were greeted by a nice lady and sat in a nice cool table. EVERTHING was delicious! The coconut shrimp with the sauce was tasty and the chicken satay was grilled perfectly ( large size skewered chicken!) With my fav peanut sauce. The plain noodle soup with onions and sprouts was satisfying! We also sampled their special today ( thai curry puffs) which were also really good. Honestly it was an array of great food! The cucumber with onion and shredded carrots was wonderful and refreshing! The lady ( see her name on the receipt) was so sweet and ARMANI that waited on us the rest of the time was knowledgeable and friendly! What an asset to the restaurant ! We had 2 iced thai drinks to go that were so good on a warm day. We had leftovers on everything! I don't know how I missed this place because I will DEFINITELY be back! Don't miss this place! Casual atmosphere with quick service. No beer or wine but the jasmine tea was great! Very reasonable prices! Dine in or take out! Ps they also serve lunch from 11 am to 3pm. My new fav stop in Oroville!

Get the coconut ice cream after the spicy (lvl 6/10 is no joke) drunken noodles and yellow curry. Rangunes disappeared into our stomachs as soon as they arrived. So much food, we have enough for dinner tomorrow too! Delicious, fast and good service. Very nice downtown to walk after eating.

We are so happy to have this restaurant in Oroville. Skip the fast food for a healthy delicious option when you are ready for flavor and a welcoming meal. Just last night we treated ourselves to crunchy coconut shrimp, heavenly crab Rangoon, creamy spicy red Thai curry and chicken chow mein with fresh vegetables. The surprise treat was a new special, Thai curry puffs - Puff pastry triangles filled with a creamy filling of potatoes, peas and carrots spiced with tumeric and other secret spices. This disappeared very quickly. Visit this restaurant for a fun and tasty experience.

Just a great little Pho restaurant! Try the special Pho, it's really good, but come hungry, it's a lot. My Thai Tea was amazing, and you have to try the chicken satay! Restaurant is clean and the service is decent. Another excellent reason to visit Downtown Oroville!

By far the best place in Oroville to eat!!! Truely authentic and fresh and delicious. This is my family’s new go to spot. Absolutely loved it, even my two year old finished her plate. Very friendly staff and highly recommend over every other Thai or Asian food here in Oroville. Thank you for the great food and experience!

After a short visit to Oroville, CA. I had to come try a pho restaurant here. Canned upon noodle house here because of their long time standing. We ordered the pho combination. First look at it was a tad plain. Had a little worry about the broth. But after a sip of the soup before any condiments added, I felt it was a go. There portion wasn't too little for I felt it was reasonably accommodated. $13.95 I feel was fair considering the location. I've paid far more elsewhere. The environment was pleasant too the eyes as it was highly decored with Thai arts and artifacts. Made it felt I had entered into somewhere in Thailand. Well done! They offered a wide range of other great selections which I can't wait to come next time I visit. Definitely a good spot to park into if your Thai food cravings kick in. GO!!! Oh.... They have the original siracha sauce bottles. Real deal. Mashed all the difference in your pho.
B T — Google review
We ordered the pho, pad Thai, fried prawns, chow mein and vegetable rolls. I felt like. Although the pho bowl was large. You didn't get many options as far as the toppings for your soup. The pad Thai, however, was absolutely fabulous. The fried prawns were totally different than what we expected. They're wrapped in like a fried noodle. Really good. The spring rolls were also really great. The chow mein was good but a little watery. It was pretty warm inside the restaurant and seemed like it was cooler outside. But I will definitely be going back. And trying something else. Yummy on the menu. I did not feel like the prices were outrageous either
Jasmine J — Google review
Nice location, it used to be the coffee shop on the corner now it's the Noodle House. Maybe a little bit small but it's right sized for downtown Oroville, if it was somewhere else it would probably be a little tight. Downtown district is reinventing itself after a long sleep, it's cleaned up and attractive again. Street parking which isn't too bad off peak. The food seems to be authentic although I'm not that much on noodle houses, tasty food though. I had the ginger garlic chicken with steamed rice, very good..

Wendy's is a beloved fast-food burger chain that offers a delightful array of menu items, including their famous chili and baked potatoes. A standout favorite among patrons is the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, which never disappoints! For those with a sweet tooth, the new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty brings back nostalgic summer vibes. While some customers have experienced less-than-ideal orders—like cold fries or dry burgers—the overall sentiment leans towards satisfaction with the food quality.
This Wendy’s always has the best fries. Hot, fresh, crispy, perfectly salted. We do usually have to pull to the front for a brief wait, but it’s very worth it! I’m The employees are always really nice and friendly too.

Visited September 27th..see receipt. This Wendy's is in Oroville and convenient to Highway 70. My app didn't work which sucked because you can save money on deals through their app! I got a cheeseburger kids meal and a junior cheeseburger ( for 2 of us). I have to say their burger AND bun was way better than the Golden Arches! Fries were cut nicely as well. Service was quick! They also have a drive thru and a handicapped ramp. Plenty of seating inside. Good experience!

I was sitting in the lobby, eating a salad that I purchased across the street waiting for my friend to arrive so we could eat lunch. I was not bothering anyone. I was very rudely approached by the general manager Denise who asked me to leave. When I told her I was waiting for a friend to have lunch with. And she still asked me to leave in an extremely rude way.

I love going to Wendy’s restaurants, no matter which one I go to the food is always delicious. The service is outstanding, always kind and ask if I ever want any condiments. I enjoy going to Wendy’s at least once or twice a month everyone should go .you’ll love it!!

Friendly staff everyone works hard and fast! The inside isn't appealing but I think its hard to keep it clean with how fast they are working they stay busy! We drive through just moved here so we been hitting them up until we get our new appliances. The orders been correct and the service excelente way to go Oroville Wendys!

The food is your usual fast food joint standards. The employees that are currently there are miserable. They don’t want to be there and it’s because of their manager. Their manager Theresa has been rude on x2 different accounts of me just going there to paying customers and especially to staff. She has a very annoyed attitude. When we were driving away after the new employee offered us a cup holder for our Jr. frosty’s she started belittling the employee and said, “I can’t believe you still haven’t…” then the drive thru door shut. I’m assuming she was upset about drive thru times, but I was only in the drive thru for at most 4-5 minutes. This behavior is absolutely disgusting and I will not be returning until they get a new manager.
Katsu C — Google review
I dare you to order the Son of a Baconator and visualize it in your hand to what the television commercial shows that guy chomping into a clearly better looking burger. Two patties with cheese and bacon hanging over the edges of the bun. Mine I had to peel open the bun to find two dried out patties about half the diameter of the bun. Dried looking cheese and little pieces of bacon. If my burger was the one the actor was eating, he’d laugh too.

I normally love this place it has good food but the employees are kinda rude. The manager is good and respectful.
