Great selection of wines to enjoy on a fabulous partially covered deck area. Views of forested hills, hay fields, and vineyards. Wonderfully bucolic. Right now we're catching a cross breeze in the shade. Relaxing and delightful. Bought a tasting sampler for $8 - five, one ounce pours from an extensive list. One of the better afternoons I've spent in a while. 🙂
This was my favorite winery on our tour hands down. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The wine tasting is only $7 for 5 very generous pours and you get to keep your glass. There was live music outside on the veranda and a small deli to add to your wine tasting experience. Our server Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly, he definitely made our experience at Crown Valley fun.
Bartender was very outgoing and knowledgeable. Had lots of great suggestions on wines to try . Slightly disappointed that they don't offer an beer here . Not a huge wine guy so it would nice to have an alternative available
Frosty Brew Fest was awesome! Lots of great local brews to sample. Great live music. If you haven't had Crown Valley's BlackBerry Hard Cider, you are wrong!
Sucks y'all were shut down but I had hella fun skating there and enjoying the view until the cops trespassed me for climbing on the silos.
It's a great place to relax, today had live band playing music (good band). Walked around the facilities beautiful sunny day. Food, drinks and of coarse the wine was all great. Facilities are very nice and well maintained. We visit regularly and sure miss them during winter shut down. But we do have wine through the cold weather. We highly recommend locals or visitors to stop by and keep coming back.
Such an amazing experience! I booked this venue for my wedding in May 2021 and it was everything I dreamt of! Madi was SO helpful and amazing to work with, along with the rest of the staff. They did everything they could to make it less stressful on me and were so flexible and responsive. I recommend this venue to anyone looking for an outdoor/indoor wedding ceremony and reception, it was such a beautiful day :)
Loved it. You can bring your own food in a small cooler or backpack. You just cannot bring any drinks water, soda, etc. The sangria wines are very tasty. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the weather. Both covered and uncovered. Live music on the weekend we were there. Great view of the surrounding vineyard. Will definitely be back !

Always a great hike. I know when trees fall they usually don’t get rid of them, but in this case, there are several trees blocking some very gorgeous views that need to be cut up. Other than that always a great couple of hours in the woods. Definitely go after it has rained to see some small waterfalls. Fairly easy trail for most.
What a wonderful place to enjoy nature with loved ones! A good 2 mile hike through the woods. Incredible rock formations. Not ADA accessible.
The Trail Through Time is our favorite in the area! So much to see; caves, bluffs, coves, rock formations, etc. Varied and interesting trail, although somewhat tricky to navigate at times (scrambling over and around rocks/roots). Took us just over an hour to do the full loop with time to stop and take pictures. Not crowded at all on a Wednesday afternoon in July.
Like a mini-Elephant Rocks, this trail has some fantastic rock formations to explore. The trail is only 2 miles long, but it felt longer due to all the ups and downs. There are numerous tiny side trails to scenic spots, but the path is blazed with red arrows and white squares, which assuaged our fears of getting lost.
Edit: Me and my date both poison ivy in little places all over, so is prolly recommend long sleeves that go directly in the wash after. I visited in summer though, so that wasn't an option 😅. --- I was told there were lots of "small waterfalls".. and there were maybe 3? And they were 2-3 ft drops? 😅 I'd probably call it a nice hike through the woods with a few water trickles of water 😁. And if you think of it that way, it was very nice. Pretty shady most of the time, some cool rocks - rocks were cooler than the water. Barely saw people, but heard them a few times. Definitely requires a bit of careful foot placement. The sign said it takes 1 hours, but we eneded up taking 1.5 - both from being a little slow and sightseeing/getting turned around.
No restrooms, water, or from what i saw no trash cans... plan accordingly. It's a very busy trail (i went on Saunday afternoon on Father's day), well-maintained. Not the best for trail running since it's narrow in some spots, and people kinda can't and/or just don't won't move over.. Highly recommended and I plan on going often.
Really nice overall. Definitely moderate hiking and lots of sights. Lots of rambling water and little waterfalls. No restrooms though
Great hike, alot of climbing but, Wow! the rock formations are spectacular.

Just a different experience all around. Beautiful views on the drive in but not far off of the freeway. We tried a tasting of the wines but they also offer spirits. They have a fridge full of meats cheeses and even a few beers. We were told on Saturdays they have a spot for pizza and a few other snacks. The walk to the cave is not too far but all downhill so coming back up will be a journey. You do have to buy a bottle to enter the cave but it was only around $20 Once you get to the cave it immediately cools down and you see it for what it is. There is plenty of seating and the view is very pretty. We will be making this a future spot.
This is one of my all-time favorite wineries now. Yes, the cave is AWESOME! But the wines are delicious across the board, the cheese, meats and biscotti you can try during a wine pairing are phenomenal. The staff is extremely friendly and they have beer and spirits too if you’re not a wine drinker. Plus the property is beautiful.
Had a great motorcycle ride to Cave Vineyard. It's about an hour South of St. Louis in the country. My bike handled the hilly and winding roads like a dream. I sampled some wines and spirits, all were very good. I really liked the Rockin' Rosie and bought a bottle. They had meats, cheeses, crackers, and almond biscotti 😋 which I took down to the cave. Some dripping from the ceiling, so I got a lot of "kisses" from the cave (that's what the sign said). 😅
Coming with kids here Sunday around 11 am is probably the best. Since Saturday has pizza and carts, Sunday was a bit slower, but perfect for family picnic. Get a bottle of favorite wine and snacks at the tasting room and make a short walk to the cave. On the hot day - perfect spot to sip chill wine.
This was such a cool place to visit. We went on a cold and rainy day so we weren't there long. The nice lady at the main bar in the tasting room was very nice and helpful to talk to. The cave was such a unique place. Everywhere you looked was just cool. You must go if for no other reason just because it's different.
Really cool setup all around . You can see the whole operation. They not make wine , but also distill their own spirts (brandy) and make their own beer . Pretty sure it was one of the owners behind the bar serving up the wine tasting amd making suggestions. Definitely knew her stuff and offered other ideas based after tasting different wines . Of course the cave is cool also and worth a bottle of wine . The decent is decently steep and thr walk up could be hard for some . It was raining the day we visited . I would suggest taking a blower down the path to the cave and getting rid of the leaves was really slippery . Really enjoyed our visit here and would come back again .
Wine is a matter of taste, this is why I do not rate their wine, but a wine tasting out of little plastic cups (Like at the dentist) is something only people do who are not proud of what they produced. Even if you buy a bottle, what is by the way required to see the cave, you would get plastic cups. I hope they improve their service and do something for the taste of their wine and the environment. For me it will be a one time visit.
While a bit on the small side the Cave Winery still has quite a bit to offer. The tasting was $5 for 5 tastings. The Rocking Rosie was my favorite of the five the others were too tart for my liking. They serve fresh made biscotti for $1 each and it was very good. They offer a golf cart ride down the paved path to the cave if you don't feel like walking down. You can bring your own picnic lunch with you to eat in the cave. Fair warning...it is damp inside the cave but if that's not to your liking they have a small pavilion with just outside of the cave. There are no restroom facilities at the actual cave site so make sure to go at the main building if you need to.

We choose the Whispering Pines trail connecting to Pickle Springs trail. what a great day, we walked and enjoyed the many view along the trails. our overall time was 3 hours 23 minutes of fun. as a note it was a more advanced difficulty trail for some people, the Pickle Springs trail is very rocky so wear good hinmking shoes with a solid grip. Pickle springs would be a trail to use caution as it would be easy to loose footing or roll an ankle. Take it slow and easy here. Recommened these trail for exploring. The waterfront trail was great.
We did the Pickle Creek trail and had a lot of fun. Beautiful trail alongside the creek. Lots of rocks and roots to navigate but it just made it more interesting. There were restrooms with pit toilets in the parking lot, not terrible but not great either. Looked like there were nice picnic areas, but we didn't use them.
I did the white oaks trail one week and then the full whispering pines trail the following week in early October 2024. They should just close the white oak trail in my opinion, the views aren’t great and the trail isn’t maintained very well/ the path is very small for some reason. The whispering pines trail on the other hand is easily one of the best hikes in Missouri. The Pine trees transport you to the north west without having to compromise on weather. Great overlooks, fun but challenging hills and cliffs, and then at the southern most point is a serene stream and cool area to relax. I can’t wait to be back.
Nice and clean park! Large with many trails. We did the Pickle Creek Trail, which was beautiful and scenic, but also not easy. Definitely be prepared for a more difficult hike, with lots of rocks and downed trees to climb over.
Visited the park for a look at the overlook walkway by the park office and then a hike on White Connector 3. Following that, I took a short drive along Park Drive (doesn't every MO State Park have a Park Drive?) and ran across a sight in a camping area that I've never seen before in any park. Check out the photos for Santa-fied skeleton buddies. On 23 July 2025. People do some amazing things........
This park is absolutely beautiful. Did the whispering pine north trail and it's beautiful. Not too difficult and not too long if you take the white connector in the middle.
Such a beautiful park. Very peaceful. They have several walking trails. Place to camp. A little park area with picnic tables. Could spend the whole day here. The rocks are really pretty and different. Lots of granite.
Highly recommend it for the area. Trees were still dead from winter. It can be confusing if you are doing south loop of the trail so pay attention to the map. Two of our friends got lost for a while

One of the newer things to see in Ste Genevieve is the many murals. Local artist Kenzie Wolk has painted some of them and Craig Thomas painted one of the most recent additions. These works of art make for a more interesting visit to the downtown area of Ste Genevieve. If a few more are added over time. It could be interesting to add finding all of the murals as part of a walking tour of the downtown area of Ste Genevieve.
Great information to be found here! Super friendly staff. Small gifts and National Historical Park stamp available for passports.
What a gem of a welcome center! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. There's a neat little gift shop and quite a few displays of local historic homes. I highly recommend stopping in here before you go anywhere else!
We enjoyed our tour! Don't want to spoil the history for anyone. We're history buffs. The Gent answered all questions, very knowledgeable which made our experience very enjoyable!
Nice little welcome center in the historic district of Ste Gen. The staff were very nice and informative. Kind of a small museum mixed with a tourism board. You can purchase a historic site passport here that will get you in to 6 of the the local sites. Includes 5 houses and the city museum. Cost is $15 a person, but if you don't purchase it, you pay individually at each place. If you are a walker, all sites are walkable.
Small as far as national park visitor centers go, but the on-site ranger was very friendly and the large diorama of the town as it appeared in the past was neat to look at.
When coming somewhere new these welcome centers are a great way to get an idea on stuff to do in the area. The employees are happy to share their information and knowledge with you to make your trip more enjoyable and sometimes less stressful
My mother's family is tied closely to St. Genevieve and the staff were very knowledgeable about the town and it's practices.

Beautiful building and grounds. Large bar with just about everything you could want. Large menu of California and European wines. Lots of great cocktails are available as well. There's a large fireplace in the middle of the room and great views of the surrounding hills. We did not have food during this visit but the menu looked tempting.
Weingarten vineyard has recently changed ownership and is now open again. They have a spectacular building that is well worth going to, with a great bar, large dining area with tall windows for a view and a nice patio dining area. In good weather, the patio/deck area provides a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a drink or light meal while enjoying the view. They are currently open Thursday through Sunday, but would not be surprised if the days and times change as fall and winter approach. Drinks and a lunch menu is available and I understand that a dinner menu will be available at some point.
Best place to visit they have the most amazing suites if you looking to stay over night , Eric and Joe they were great hosts will definitely going back
Weingarten Vineyard is truly a spectacular venue for any event! As a DJ, I’ve had the pleasure of performing here on multiple occasions, and it never fails to impress. The vineyard setting offers breathtaking views, and the venue itself perfectly blends rustic elegance with modern charm. The staff is incredibly welcoming and professional, making every event seamless for both vendors and guests. The atmosphere is perfect for creating unforgettable memories, whether it's a wedding or another celebration. If you're looking for a stunning venue with fantastic service, Weingarten Vineyard is an excellent choice!
Nice view and the building is beautiful. Unfortunately, there's absolutely no table service. If you want food or drink, you go inside to the bar. Or you can order food via a QR Code, but no one comes and checks on you After your food is brought to you. I ordered a nice salad. Unfortunately., it was pretty much lettuce and no dressing. Presentation was great, just no flavor.
This place is truly a hidden gem. Beautiful vistas, gorgeous interior (reminiscent of a church), and incredible food/wine. The owners are genuinely nice people who take great pride in their beautiful business. They recently became an Inn. We were fortunate enough to be their very first guests. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The views from the private porch are stunning. The food and wine was incredible. We had a very romantic evening. I highly recommend his place for a weekend trip, overnight stay, or romantic dinner. Far enough out that you can see the beautiful night sky free of light pollution. Close enough that you don't have to take time off work. Perfect place to spend an anniversary or romantic weekend getaway. Close to pickle springs and other beautiful state parks this place is perfect spot to springboard a weekend trip. Local restaurants like The Kozy and the Dew Drop Inn make this place a must stay. We plan to visit at least once a year and make it a tradition because we love it so much! Important to note: Everything is clean, bathrooms spotless Food is highest quality Huge variety of wine selection The owners treat every guest like family Plenty of parking Owners have their pets on site but they stay outside 🥺 Beautiful interior decorating Quiet and Peaceful Owners accommodate your needs and are premptively considerate Beautiful paths to walk Lack of light pollution Security is sound Private porch Local restaurants are top notch Local parks are beautiful Vistas are beautiful Feel free to ask me any questions This place is only going to get better and better as we were there first guests and they still have a lot of improvements they hope to incorporate. And we still had a five star experience
Excellent place to have that really nice dinner experience!! Food is always exceptional and the views out the dining room windows are a nice backdrop. You should look into renting one of their two overnight stay rooms - but because of their popularity they book up fast so plan accordingly!!
Really nice place to have a glass of wine.

I fell in love with their newly released blueberry cider and at just $5 it became my new favorite! There was live music and Cornhole games to enjoy while there. We didn't get to do any tours here so I'm not even sure if they offer any. It's only downside is that it is more of a bar science than I expected but definitely not in a bad way. Everyone was very friendly and the grounds are very clean and well kept.
Sweet venue out in the Ste Gen wine country (even though I think Farmington is closer). Crown Valley Winey a few minutes away is the most elaborate winery in the area and the Brewery fits the mold. Large indoor seating area as well as some outdoor options. We were here on a late Saturday afternoon in late Dec so it was only 10ish% full. Took a star away because the beer is pretty pedestrian. Not bad, just not packing the flavor profile I like. Kind of weak, but very drinkable. The pretzel with sweet chili dipping sauce was a game changer. The beer dip was also delightful. I recommend if you are out in the area.
Not much meat on the sandwiches. Ordering both food and drink from the bar was kind of meh experience. If you wanted to buy anything they had in cans or bottles you had to wait in line at the bar too. Blackberry cider was good. The food and service was below par. Not planning a return trip.
Always a great afternoon spot. Now has food by way of a next door grill. Fall afternoon on the patio is the best.
I won't be back. Waited 40 minutes for what you see in the picture. There should've been an Italian Beef sandwich but after waiting 40 minutes, we were told they were out of it. Gee thanks. Other people in our party received burnt pizza and excuses. Should be one star but the cider was pretty good. Never again though.
Moonshine Margarita and Berry Blast come highly recommend! Chips and beer cheese were good as well. Nice ambience inside and beautiful view outside. If you are close to this it is a must try, you will not be disappointed!
Crown Valley Brewing and Distilling has a great vibe indoors and outside. Fantastic selection of beer, moonshine, and other spirits. Very clean inside with adequate sitting space. Lots of visuals to keep you stimulated. Drink prices are reasonable and they have a pretty good food selection as well. If you feel like enjoying the sun, head out to the patio area which has covered and uncovered places to sit. The scenery outside is beautiful. Friendly service, plenty of parking space. I never go home empty handed.
Had a great time! Loved the view and atmosphere, awesome selection of beers and spirits and the nachos were fantastic!! Bartenders and cashiers were friendly and extremely helpful when trying to pick the perfect drink. We will for sure be back.

The building is rare and valuable. The guide is awesome and telling us a lot of details, especially for the life back to 1800s. Two houses contained in the tour, one is early and anther is built by the daughter.
Really cool place to learn about the history of Ste. Genevieve. Super knowledgeable staff and the historic house tour was really interesting. It's a must see when you visit Ste. Gen. 3/5 stars, wouldn't change a thing
Very well preserved, vertical wood structure, French colonial home. The original portion of the home getting close to 250 years old. Hard to find buildings that old in Missouri. Go over to the Centre for French Colonial Life to see some of the artifacts from the period. Tour of this house and the somewhat newer one next door are $10 a person. My wife and I essentially got a private tour and our tour guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and had a knack for keeping the tour interesting. Took about 30 minutes.
Well worth the trip and so informative. Also learn about the Battle of Ft San Carlos and the French connection to the region.
Did not realize the extent of the French presence in history. I enjoyed perusing the displays and reading information.
Great little museum! The staff were all so friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. I would definitely recommend taking the tour of the 2 homes. Museum is free and tour is $10/person.
I enjoy learning about the past. They had some unique displays. Very helpful.

Tour and grounds are much better than the National Park next door. Very informative and interactive! Some very steep steps on the tour.
We stopped at historic Ste. Gen on our way home from St. Mary's. Unfortunately, we were too early to see inside the Felix Valley house. But if the outside property is any indication, then the inside should be delightful. And well-kept. This is a great little town, with many historic sites. It has many small businesses, as some tourist towns do. It was a great stroll around town. We will be back in the Fall. It's a great day trip,!
This is my third visit to Ste Genevieve to see the sights and soak up the history, but only my first visit to the Felix Valle House. They weren't actually conducting any tours on the day I was there, but the Park employee, Rachel, very kindly gave me an impromptu tour and allowed me into all the rooms while providing a narrative of the Valles and the house contents. Good job Rachel! This is a spot worth visiting.
Great tour guide. He was so knowledgeable! The history of the house is fascinating. I can't believe they were going to tear it down to build a gas sdtation
Cool set of historic homes in the middle of historic downtown Ste Genevieve. The Shaw House across the street is included in the experience and has a gift shop. Guided tours throughout the day that will dig deep in to the history. Tour cost $5, but you can buy a "passport" at the local tourism office for $15 that will get you in to 6 sites total. They are all open at varying times, so plan ahead accordingly.
A very pretty place! The town of Ste. Genevieve will take you back in town. Have to pay for tours.
This was an amazing place, guided walking tour, museum and gift shop. Even my kids enjoyed going there. The town itself is beautiful and there is lots to see and do. Perfect for younger and older homeschooling families!
The Felix Valle House is an old historic home in St. Genevieve, Missouri. We took about a 1 hour tour. Our tour guide was a very young interesting and informative high school teacher who was very happy and enjoyed her job. A ticket may be bought at the St. Genevieve Chamber of Commerce that included tours to the Guibourd, Bequette Ribualt, Green Tree, and Amoureux houses, plus a town museum for a very economical price. If you can't stay for too long of a period of time you may return for as many days that you need to see the rest of the homes and have your card punched.

We were pleasantly surprised with the winery. I am so glad we stopped. The gentleman was very friendly explaining the wines and nice conversation. It was nice to bring our picnic basket and set on the deck to enjoy our day. Next time we will stay longer. I will definitely recommend this winery to our friends.
Wine is very quite nice! The owners a joy to chat with, and the snacks are local, fresh and yummy. The setting looking over the vines and the sunset view, breathtaking!!! I can't wait to go back. We had a family reunion there - it was the best yet!!! Mel
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wines were amazing. Loved the White Merlot and the Sangria! As other reviews have stated, don't let the outside fool you. This place is top notch!!
I wasn't aware that we weren't being served Watertowers own wine. My husband and I like to support small businesses and would have preferred to buy one of their bottled wines. Only once did the server tell us that one of the tastings wasn't "theirs" We didn't see until later that we had actually purchased a bottle of Beringer. We learned a lesson today.
Very friendly people and pleasant atmosphere. Only a couple of their own wines on offer currently. Additional wines waiting for government approval.
Love this place! Wonderful wines, literally the best sangria on the Route cu Vin. Brad and Jean are wonderful hosts, love the view from the back deck.
Friendly staff, delicious wine, beautiful atmosphere. What more do you need?

We spent a few hours here celebrating our anniversary and had a really good time. The staff were nice and very helpful. The selection of drinks were also very pleasing. The view and outdoor seat combined together helped to make a relaxing day. The only thing I warn you about is the long, long Gravel driveway that goes to the winery. It’s completely fine if you are in a truck, SUV or even car but I would think different when taking a high dollar vehicle down the drive. The drive follows along a creek and you can tell the gravel road is constantly maintained due to washouts, but it is definitely maintained. If you do get to the end you will be happy you did. I also love the fact that you can select many drinks on tap and they only charge by the ounce you pour. Great mixed drinks as well.
We love it here, the views are stunning! Great place to sit back and relax and listen to their local musicians. The fire pits add that extra cozy feeling as well! Their staff is amazing, very helpful and attentive to your needs! They make the BEST special drink flights!! Their food is so good as well, I would suggest the pretzels and steak bites. You won't regret it!! It was an overall amazing experience and we will continue to visit frequently!
We had an AMAZING day at this beautiful winery. The food was not only delicious, but also beautifully plated. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The view is absolutely breathtaking. We highly recommend and will be coming back!!
Had a friend’s 40th birthday celebration here and had the best time! The staff were super friendly and accommodating! The drinks were tasty (the Margarita flight is a must!) and the food hit the spot! Highly recommend the buffalo chicken wontons! 🤌🏻 Everyone had a great time and you can’t beat the view. The sun was out for a bit and was so nice, but we were happy for the outdoor heaters once the sun went down and it got chilly. Overall 5 ⭐️ for sure!
My husband and I truly love Charlevilles! The workers are knowledgeable, attentive, and kind! They always make sure we are satisfied with our drinks, food, and the all around experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a date with your significant other or a group of friends/family! I am so glad we have a beautiful place to go and enjoy each other’s company.
I’ve been to this winery for a few events and well as just a relaxing and of wine and friends. Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere, good food, and friendly staff. The wine selection as well as the wristbands make for a fun way to try different selected wines. The view of the valley is very relaxing.
Had a delightful afternoon eating charcuterie board, pizza, drinking wine and talking with friends. Service was nonexistent, non-attentive and busy with phones. Charcuterie board came with enough crackers for 1/3 of the board, but could buy more. Needed a bucket of ice for chilled bottle of wine, but offered a plastic bag with ice for $5. Delightful, charming location with magnificent view. Need to improve on the hospitality and making customers fill welcome!
It was fun finding this place, great beer selection. Really good Red Ale and Santa Claus Stout. Pizza was also very good. Great view. Oh yeah they have wine also. 05 21 25 we came back ate drank and made merry. Great place. Got my Tornado Alley to go.

Wow! What an awesome family owned business. We came and hungout here for their Halloween event. The staff had live music, food, and great wines/ciders. This venue is locally owned and family ran. They are extremely hard working and do everything they can to make it a good experience for their guests. I highly recommend checking them out next time you're in Ste. Gen.
Very cool space with mead and wine options produced by the owners. Both the meads and wines that we tried were great! Indoor and outdoor seating options available. Food also available, light snacks.
Our favorite place since we found it. We went to sample mead a few years ago. We found amazing people who bring joy to everyone they meet! Such a wonderful and hip environment in such an old, beautiful, and interesting place. Very forward thinking, community, and environmentally conscious, and inspiring women. The mead is delicious. They have dry to sweet meads from local honey and ingredients. They have an adorable little store with unique and some handmade items. They have yard games for outside and board games if you want to stay inside. There is outdoor seating, and friendly pets are welcome to come along with their customers at their outdoor seating. You need this experiemce! We frequent Brix for refills and bottles of our favorites! Edit: Our new favorite is the new seasonal Ginger Mead called Ginger Wonderland for the holidays. WOW! It tastes like Christmas. Smooth, with cinnamon and meadowfoam flower honey...🤯. I bought a case, because I know I am going to want this longer than the holidays! I want it all year!
This is such a fun winery and has the best mead we’ve ever tasted! The mead is well balanced, not too sugary sweet. We loved the All Burn! It’s a nice place to enjoy the day and we’ll definitely be back!
Interesting place with a wide variety of options. I tried and liked several of their wines and had a slushy during my visit. I don’t remember who helped with our tasting but he was friendly and explained a lot about their wines. Would definitely recommend!
The two ladies working the counter here were so delightful and the meads were delicious. Bought a bottle of Cherry on Top (cherry mead) and Traditions (cranberry fruit wine) to take home. I loved how they had all the rooms set up for people. We sat on a loveseat one one of the rooms. Will be returning next time we’re in st. Gen!
I have only been to a handful of locations which sell mead. Hands down, this was by far the best tasting I had experienced. I ended up getting a growler and a bottle on my way out. I am definitely going back and taking my girlfriend. The inside is very quaint, but it also has an outside venue as well. Unfortunately the day I went, it was miserable outside (rain). Remember mead is strong, so it's not about quantity, but quality. They only sell 32 oz. growlers, but that is more than the 750 ml bottle. The staff there were very nice and actually brought my buddy and I a couple of samples, so we could taste all the variety available. It was worth it because we both walked out of there with a growler and a bottle. I recommend going and experiencing the various flavors Brix has to offer. I believe it is only open on weekends, so make it a destination day!!
We had our first experience with Mead at Brix. It was absolutely delicious. We polished off our last bottle. Excited to go back.

An absolutely beautiful church in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. If you stop in the visitor center in town, they will tell you more about the history and provide you with a brochure and information on touring the church. We attended Sunday Mass, and loved being in a REAL church setting for worship.
Beautiful church! Make sure to visit or call the welcome center to ask for a guide. Ours dressed up and gave us a great run down of the entire church and it’s history
I didn't make it to mass, but what a beautiful church! So much history here.
Very beautiful classic church. Built in 1759 The pictures don't do it justice
Beautiful gothic style church. Reminds me of the church I grew up attending in Chicago.
The church is lovely. Music at 10:30 was inspiring. Homily was very informative, but some info on Mass preparation for parishioners was given in a chastising tone that could make tourists feel unwelcome.
If you want a Catholic Mass done right in southeast Missouri, this is your spot. Beautiful historic church. Passionate orthodox priests. Reverent liturgy. Quaint locale. 5 Stars!
Beautiful church! Great people! Also my cousin in laws got married there.

We didn't ride because we really didn't need to get across the river, but I did want to go back and forth as a pedestrian. We just didn't have the time. The operation looks very efficient and safe. It operated a few times while I was there.
Unreliable, would be helpful to have the running hours posted at the ferry terminal as well. Don't bother calling. Only runs weekends as of now. Its a pretty area at least.
Quite impressed with this river-crossing service! It offers a seamless way to transport your car across the river with speed and affordability. The scenic views along the journey are simply breathtaking, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. The service staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a smooth and pleasant trip. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a convenient river-crossing solution
The Ste Genevieve ferry is a fun way to go over to Illinois and tour around there. The Mississippi water levels have been too low, then too high and the ferry has not operated for quite some time. It is now back operating again and hopefully will continue to operate as long as the river levels keep near normal. It’s a fairly small ferry but they seem to do a good job keeping you safe during the river crossing.
I called before going there today on New Year's Eve but the lady said that it would be closed until Sunday but I still wanted to go look around. The views of the river were pretty good and there was about a half-mile trail that led into the woods alongside the river which was nice. I can't wait to try the ferry out soon.
Something different. Nice way to cut right into St Genevieve . Sometimes the ferry is on the other side of the river so not always the quickest route . Awesome to see first hand the power of the river and the skill of the captain navigating the current
We love having this access to Ste. Genevieve. We come from Illinois for the Annual Down's Syndrome ride benefit and love that we can cross the river on the ferry.
$20.00 to go over the Mississippi where the Grafton ferry is free. Limited days of service, what's going on here?

Stopped by after a Memorial Day Ceremony. The owner was very helpful as she helped us pick some of the pewter we purchased. Every pewter piece is handmade and beautiful! They even have some handmade knifes! I had a great time learning about the pewter and history of the city. Stop on by and see all the beautiful handmade art!
If you are in the Ste. Genevieve, MO area, a visit to ALS Pewter Shop is a must! The Hooper's have lots and lots of gorgeous Pewter items to choose from. It's all hand made, lead free and prices are very fair for the excellent quality that goes into every piece. When you visit the store, be sure to give some love to the beautiful cat!! She loves the attention of the visitors!! 🐈❤️
One of the most interesting shops I have ever visited. Thomas Hooper works on his craft right in front of you and explains what he is doing as he goes. What a treat. Beautiful shop full of wonders.
Always plan a stop at ASL when traveling I 55! The Hoopers are lovely people who know pewter history and the demos are like stepping back in time. They have beautiful lead free items for everyone. (Good place to pick up unique wedding gifts) St. Genevieve is a beautiful old town in which to spend a few hours or a few days and the pewter store is always a high light. Their beautiful Savanna cats are also a perk!
Really unique and awesome things, especially well made, and the owner was so nice! Lovely finds for sure, and a must checkout spot if your near it at all.
They were so kind to melt down some metal and poor into their molds so we could see how they made their art. My wife in particular found some nice cookie stamps and a baby spoon for our daughter. I got some wine stoppers. They are very kind owners.
Had a fun day exploring Ste. Genevieve and the ASL Pewter shop was one of the highlights! They have unique pewter items and the coolest cats we have ever seen!!! Grandkids loved it!!!
First time here, Patricia and Thomas were very friendly and loved hearing their stories. Bought quite a few items and will be back and probably see them at a Renaissance festival.

A great tour. Although the house has been renovated, the floors, as well as some doors and windows are original. Plus the tour takes you to the attic so you can see the Norman Truss construction.
We came to St Genevieve to enjoy the historic charm of a small town. When we came to the historic site tour, we had very little idea about the nature and style of the $6/ person tour which, overall was incredibly informative, and quite enjoyable. We found it strange that the tour guide never gave her name, but then asked each of us personal information about our occupations, and what we wanted to be when we grew up (presumably to get to know us)... However, The tour guide kind of put each of us down/kind of insulted us when we told her our occupations and our dream jobs. Two of the four of us are in the food service industry (essential workers during the pandemic) and the tour guide was incredibly insulting in regards to what we do and what our dreams were.... but I digress. The first part of the tour was mildly chaotic as there had been another couple there and the guide was attempting to address both groups. Eventually she caught her rhythm and began to give an in-depth history lesson from which I was able to learn a lot about Ste. Genevieve's history. We were then shown the other rooms of the house. The place is beautiful. Filled with beautiful antiques. Lots of spiritual energy in the space. The upstairs is available to tour which is a first for me in a historical home. Upstairs is a single room with a small model home, a few flags, and a spindle (which I found to be weird since the guide said the town had basically no weavers since the French traded flour for fabric... ) We did not stay long upstairs which seemed to surprise the tour guide as she was already unmasked and ready to give up on the tour. We did not see the kitchen or slave quarters as it seemed the guide was done, but we did have an overall enjoyable time.
Love the old homes
