Beautiful and historic. I love taking the Green Line and catching whatever is playing at the theatre. The workers here are exceptional as always and deserve to be compensated accordingly. They are the real reason people love this place. The theatre is a pillar of the community, and I hope they continue to be Brookline's best.
Watched One Battle After Another on a movie date with my girlfriend and it was a great experience almost like stepping back in time in the theater. Definitely will return. Nice to support an independent theater. Lots of cool older showings scheduled throughout the year.
I go once every 5 to 10 years to the monster movie marathon over Halloween. It’s extremely fun. It has been getting quite busy in the last five years so book your tickets early. They have a costume competition and it’s pretty fun.
My favorite independent local theater. The theater has a long history, and really gives you the feel and atmosphere of classic theaters, especially the main movie halls. They recently expanded and added some new smaller movie rooms, and a new area for buying tickets and concessions. They offer a wide range of movies, old, new, indie, and foreign. I love when they have themed movie events, such as Samurai Summer, or Kaidan ghost stories. I also think it's nice they offer midnight movies (often horror). There's a metered parking lot in the back, and metered street parking. There are wonderful restaurants in the surrounding area to grab food before or after your show.
Went to see the 30th anniversary screening of A Goofy Movie... fantastic location, amazing selection of snacks and an impressive alcohol menu. Loved the local feel of the theater.
With streaming services, I don't go to movie theaters a lot these days. So I figured if I was going to spend money, I may as well do it at an independent institution like the Coolidge, an indelible part of the Brookline/Boston community. It's an absolutely gorgeous theater! It was my first time here even though I've lived in Boston for a number of years now. I was in movie house 1, which I believe is the biggest they have. The art deco details on the walls and ceiling were stunning. Occasionally, I'd look away from the movie just to stare at the reflective designs on the ceiling. It's very clean and well-maintained; no sticky floors here. *cough*AMC*cough* I will advise to get here early; there are no assigned seats and it's first-come first-served. For reference, the line started forming 40 minutes before the movie was supposed to start. Only reason I'm not giving the whole thing 5 full stars is concession. The popcorn was covered in weirdly thick butter and there was no salt at all. And you want good popcorn to fully round-out a quality movie-going experience!
I started the addition - and they ended up with a non- union company finishing…was back there cuz they did a cool gathering for S.O.S wildlife (whom is an AMAZING organization) 30 yr anniversary. Presentation and Snacks/ Drinks after. Barely had any vegan options and it was a event for animals…
Amazing historical theater. Coolidge Corner Theater has many different “movie houses,” featuring the smallest theater I’ve ever been in, as well a larger theater that is the most beautiful and ornate. If you’re hoping to see a weekend movie, I’d recommend getting tickets in advance as they can sell out fast especially for the smaller screening rooms.

My wife and I did a walkthrough. Being from the Dallas area and just miles away from the site of JFK's assassination, I felt compelled to visit the home where this great man was born. Although we did a self-guided tour, there were historians placed throughout the house to give us a more detailed explanation of what we were seeing.
Guided audio tour is FREE and totally worth it. Very sweet and very informative. Alex at the visitor center desk was a delight! Took me about 20 minutes to tour the house — if you have a free half hour in Brookline, would definitely recommend
We visited on a Thursday morning in mid-June 2025. There is limited street parking here in the neighborhood. We arrived just before opening but unfortunately there was a group tour that was booked in the first time slot of there are only so many spots on the tour. So we were not able to get to actually go into the house because we were on a tight schedule. We did take some pictures outside and if you follow the path around the side of the house, there is a visitor center in the basement of the house. It's completely ADA accessible as well with a wheel chair elevator. The visitor center isn't super big but they have all the park store merch lined up along the walls and there is a little area with a large television and chairs that I am guessing they play a short film on. To the left is is the main desk and they had the tickets to get into the house along with the NPS Passport Cancellation Stamps which is the main reason we came, other than trying to tour the house but that was no longer an option. We had other things we wanted to do that day. There is a bathroom right when you walk in and a water bottle filler. Overall the rangers were super nice and it was sad we couldn't tour the house. We would need to come back if we were in town and do this. It was worth the stop to just get the stamp.
A small piece of history right in Brookline! This is a great place to check out for history enthusiasts with a spare hour or two. I was impressed with the park ranger’s ability to answer all the questions that my family had, especially regarding the Fitzgerald/Kennedy families’ roots in the Boston area. We were also the only people visiting at the time, so we didn’t feel rushed at all.
Great piece of history. The Kennedy house is well maintained in its original form according to Rose Kennedy's memories. The tour guide was also friendly. There is also a gift shop, a modern toilet, and lockers to store your luggage (you need to ask staff for the keys). Entry is free and is 100% worth it.
Interesting site. I don’t think I realized that JFK’s dad built most of the family wealth after JFK was born. It was neat to see a different side of the Kennedy family.
Located on a shady neighborhood street the site is well maintained. We went on the tour of the house with a park ranger who provided excellent information about the family while they lived in the house. I am including a video of the outside of the house pulse the first floor rooms.
The house is gorgeous, and I recommend at least walking by if you are in the area. many of the surrounding houses are equally gorgeous.

A sprawling former estate turned into a beautiful public park. Wonderful outdoor skating rink, sledding hill, dogs are allowed off leash for long hours with acres and acres to run. Amazing views of Boston.
A gorgeous space - lovely for a picnic, park day, or just a walk with the pup. Gorgeous views of the city and the most peaceful, serene atmosphere.
We went to a party at this park in the shelter area and it was such a great spot! Super clean, lots of barbeques and picnic tables, and the playground was right nearby. There’s also a big open space with an awesome view—perfect place for a party.
Such a beautiful place! They have different beautiful sceneries to create memorable family photos. There is a playground and bathrooms to use.
Such a fascinating museum with cars I’ve never experienced before. Such an eclectic mix of classic autos in the museum. We visited during the Japanese car revolution exhibit upstairs. A real pleasant surprise to see what the Japanese would deem fairly pedestrian cars, but very exciting to see a Suzuki Jimny and a Honda Beat in person.
The park is not too shabby! It has play areas for both dogs and kids, space to play sports (you may have to reserve these) along with enclosed picnic tables you can reserve for gatherings. The walking paths are beautiful and make for a relaxing stroll.
Beautiful park. What a lovely place to do sledding in the winters!
This park is still the jewel it has been over the years. Many passed by this place over the years and have no clue what's over here. Clean with natural scenery for family gatherings and fun without leaving too far out of the city. Just go and see for yourself, and then you will get the rest of the story!

A really fun hidden gem in Jamaica Plane. Definitely worth checking out on a sunny day and then exploring the surrounding park. Also check out their 2025 Lawn Event schedule, it's the closest thing Boston has to Cars and Coffee ☕🚘
Beautiful mansion to keep this cars in. The property is well maintained and at the time of my visit there was an active car show happening which was a bonus! It is highly recommended to come visit this museum if you have not been already.
A Ton of Automotive History 🧐 and Knowledge 🤔 plus many 🏎️ Car Show Events held on the 😍 Beautiful Estate Grounds. 🌳🪻 The Staff were Friendly and Knowledgeable.👍 Highly Recommend The Auto Museum and it's many Car Show Events! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🏎️
Are you a car guy or gal in the Greater Boston area? Well then, this is the place for you! Enthusiasts and novices alike will appreciate this unique space. Events galore (watch out for free ones like Cars & Coffee) and the grounds alone are just serene and beautiful to behold (Larz Anderson Park).
Love this place. It's in a massive carriage house, designed to look like a French chateau. Besides having a great car collection the architecture is a delight. The grounds cover a huge grassy hill with views for miles. During warmer months there are "lawn events" where dozens to hundreds of interesting vehicles are on display. I went to a large event with many rare and unusual vehicles.
The museum is just fine, it has some good exhibitions from tine to time but in general they are small. On the other hand, the events they organize are good but with practically no information at all about it. The "Tutto Italiano" was surprisingly good, I recommend it
We went on Cars and Coffee morning and loved seeing all the cars that came out for the event. Small museum that is nicely maintained.
Great car museum. With awesome lawn events. Went to an outside wedding there. Great wedding venue for classic car enthusiasts

I loved this site! Great information on the projects that Olmsted and his firm worked on; nice and informative tour of the grounds; incredible library and exhibits. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful.
Had a great tour with Ranger Gabby, she was funny and gave a thorough overview of the house and facilities. The space itself was beautiful and really interesting to see the entire process of the firm. The outdoor gardens were also lovely to explore. It’s a bit smaller than I expected, but it’s a manageable visit, probably about an hour.
Nice museum in the middle of Brookline. The tour guide was very detailed and informative. It wasn't too busy when I went there. There is plenty of free parking.
A wonderful National Historic Site! We learned so much about the man and the ways his firm has shaped American outdoor spaces. The tour of the workshop was amazing for the details of technology at the time. You'll learn how blueprints are made, and get a sense of what document storage was like before computers. Outside, is the "shortest hike in the National Parks," a walk through the restored landscaping. The rangers were friendly and knowledgeable, led great tours and we thoroughly enjoyed it. You also can't beat free admission. We spent about an hour there.
Amazing place to visit if you love landscape architecture/parks and history! Beware google hours are not the most accurate for their different seasonal hours!
The property is currently undergoing extensive renovation. We went on a guided tour of the site and learned many interesting facts about Frederic Law Olmstead.
Guided tours start every 30 minutes which is highly recommended in order to see most of the house. The group size is limited to 8 due to the size of the rooms the tour takes place. Overall very interesting experience. After the tour, you might walk away with a much different view on how the Olmsted architectural firm shaped the public life in the US.
The NPS does a lovely job maintaining and interpreting this place. The park ranger leading the tour was very knowledgeable and had answers for every question we threw at her. The outside was looking a little bit rough on my visit, but the ranger said they were actively working on restoring the fencing and shutters along with a fresh paint job, so expect it to be looking much better in the coming months.

I am a huge fan of Kolbo. We are so lucky to have them in Brookline. My husband and I ordered our Ketubah here and also created a wedding registry with them. We always love shopping here for items for our home or gifts for loved ones. Highly recommend.
My ENTIRE experience with Kolbo was top notch! I ordered a gift for my son’s upcoming wedding and not only were they able to assist with a special order color but their customer service was exceedingly perfect! I wasn’t 1000% sure what the product would look like but it far outshined any preconceived expectation! The gift was BEAUTIFUL, and the quality was amazing. I’d order from them again in a heartbeat and will share their website with anyone else in need for their products! THANK YOU Kolbo for shinning bright in a severely diminished world!
We rented a chuppah and talit from Kolbo for our wedding and also bought a Ketubah and glass from them and they were wonderful throughout the process! Pickup and drop off of the rented items was seamless and the Ketubah (handmade) and glass were beautiful and delivered in a timely manner
Got our chuppah for our wedding from Kolbo- went with the classic wooden polls with the many colored tallis- it was lovely! They were very clear with directions and pick-up and drop-off, and super professional. Would certainly recommend!
Kolbo is the most beautifully curated Judaica shop I have visited in the U.S. the team has great taste and a keen eye. This is not your bubbie’s Judaica shop. The stores is full of light and offers a combination of modern and traditions items, from kiddish cups to katubahs. Also a great collection of Jewish art and jewelry. Great vibe. Highly recommend.
We got our Ketubah for our wedding from Kolbo. We loved the selection and variety to choose from. The staff was so helpful and patient with us. We especially appreciated Miriam's help proofreading our ketubah before printing. On other trips, we also got our breaking glass and a gorgeous Havdalah set too.
Beautiful Judaica and helpful staff! Bought a custom ketubah here and it was absolutely stunning!
I have shopped at Kolbo for 35 years. Was incredibly disappointed this time. Used to have high quality, elegant items, great variety and always special, interesting holiday displays. Not much for Passover showing the week before Passover. Limited supplies in multiple areas, quality and variety not what they used to be. The relatively new owners definitely don't have what the previous family owners did. Very sad.

Great place for local produce and many garden needs (seeds, flower planters, topsoil and mulch). They sell pumpkins in the fall (good place to take Halloween season photos) and Christmas trees in December. Warning: it is not an inexpensive place. Also difficult to reach by foot or bike so driving is the best option. Parking is plentiful most of the time and they manage it well when it is peak season.
Great local farm in a quiet slice of town. Great community and great selection. Good spot for picking up gardening and planting goods in a pinch and an excellent shop for gifts during the holiday season. Location and the wares drive pricing though so a bargain location it ain’t. Love to support a small community farm though, it’s worth it.
What a beautiful summer day for a quick visit to Allandale Farm in Chestnut Hill. I couldn’t resist the amazing selection tomato’s, delicious peach pie and the gorgeous wild flowers.
Today, my friend took me to this farm, saying that he's been coming here since he was a kid. This place is so cute!! We went just before closing. They had all kinds of plants available. I wish we had more time so we could've asked an employee for help so we could find something suitable for our homes. I absolutely adored the grocery section where they have fruits and vegetables that they grew themselves. I picked up a blueberry lavender drink mix-in, apple butter, fig jam, bee pollen, maple syrup crunchies (not their formal name 😋), clover honey goat cheese, and lavender honey goat cheese. Later the same day, I bought some almond flour cracked pepper crackers and made a charcuterie board with some Costco prosciutto, the goat cheeses, and the fig jam. I also made a pizza with the fig jam as well as pre-made crust, arugula, mozzarella, and the prosciutto. The goat cheese and the fig jam that I bought from The Farm were absolutely phenomal and I'll definitely be craving it after I eat the rest of it over the course of the next few days. I am looking forward to trying the other products I got here and coming back to try more! Lastly, at the checkout line, I noticed I had managed to kick up some dirt at the arboretum onto my new ankle tat. I was a little worried that I need to keep it clean and the lovely woman working one of the registers went to go get me a wet paper towel so I could wipe the dirt off. While shopping, I also ended up carrying so many jars in my arms, I mentioned that it would be great if I had a basket and someone working there overheard and brought me a basket. (Good thing! I'm such a klutz!) A+ customer service. I absolutely loved the 15-20 minutes that I got to spend here before closing!!
My husband and I are entering our second season of the CSA. It is fun to pick up and choose what you want, and I appreciate the swap crate. We recently went to a CSA Member event where Farmer Mike took us on a tour and talked about his sugar maple syrup creation process... we loved it and it further endeared us to the farm. He is clearly passionate about sustainable farming, reducing waste, and general eco conscious practices. Would love to see more member events like that!
My personal favorite Farm Stand in all Massachusetts. Rotated close enough to the city....its convenient... and while there you feel like you're in a farm not near the city.... that's awesome...!!! Great selection of anything you want.
Great place for fresh vegetables and fruit grown there and nearby. Is $$$$, and set up for the shopping the produce has cumbersome for years from the display, to the bags, to the checkout process
Love this place! A stones throw to downtown Boston - this place is an awesome urban experience. They have an incredible selection of fresh local produce for a good portion of the year. The farm's own shishito peppers are our favorite. Make sure to visit the giantic Scottish steer.

Fantastic produce! Many choices of farm stands with reasonable pricing and easy pay options. Good looking meat stands. I loved the vegetarian shop with falafel and other eastern favorites. Couple of bakery tables. Perfect size market. Ice cream truck was a plus.
I love farmers market! It was well attended when I was there around 530 without being crowded. Lines moved well and lots of great products to treat yourself to. The pasta merchant was out of all pasta but that is to be expected later in the day. Parking nearby is easy. Lots of walkers and bikes too which is great to see. Being your own bag! I was able to use mobile pay everywhere i went. Love cashless transactions Go and support your local farmers market Super busy at 130pm when it opens
Prices seem pretty consistent between shops, but one veggie stand pre-packages some stuff, and one lets you choose the amount. The meat is high priced but is organic, so that is expected. The seafood seems reasonable, but unless you get there early or pre-order, she runs out fast. I gave it a four because I haven't been to enough farmer's markets in the area to know if this one is better than others, but I have been to this one a few times and like it.
Fresh. Fresh. Fresh. What’s not to like? The ‘entitled’ Brooklianans, maybe. Regardless, keep in line … whether you have one or you have 21 items. Most of the stalls will hold items by the ‘registers’ while you collect the rest and then get in line to pay. Just swat the entitleds back in line. They provide a pleasant seating area. Mid-season it gets jammed at 1:30 - 2:30+ not to worry there are a variety of vendors carrying similar items. Remember, it’s seasonal. Watch out for the dog leashes.
Very nice farm products you get very fresh and affordable price
Great farmers market. Clear Flour Bread has a stand here. Local honey, fish, flowers, fruit and veg, you name it. There's also really good ice cream.
Fantastic local produce, bakeries, kombucha, fish, meats, cheese, flowers, ice cream, and the community is friendly and welcoming. You can get prepared foods like pot pies and lasagna and hummus.
It’s a solid farmers market. Very tight knit community and some great bread and veggie stands. Sometimes wish there was a little more diversity as many stands are the same thing in different fonts.

Recently renovated playground with water features. Attached to the playground, there is a small park. There are a couple of tables and benches. Across the park, there is a large park with some lounge chairs.
Beautiful views, lots of space, hammocks and tables for all. Great spot for a Sunday morning bagel picnic and chill.
Great playground with amazing views of the city. They have a secret place to run the stairs very close by.
You have to walk up a bit of a hill to get here but it's worth it. My friend and I had a good time with the food we brought
Such a beautiful and well maintained park with an unbeatable view. A cute playground and walking path which accommodate children and pets. Plenty of seating and tables. I wish we could visit daily.
This whole area is amazing. My plan is to get a thermal blanket, a keg of piping hot chocolate and sit in the hammock overlooking the city whilst My Little Miss has fun playing the floor is lava with The Wife in the (new / very recently updated?) playground. Until she taps me out and then just flip the roles. But still both amazing.
Great spot for local residents to relax and get some fresh air. Since the park is on top of a fairly large hill and deep in a residential area, it's pretty quiet which is nice. Not the best spot for sports, though it could be good for running hills or something
Friendly neighborhood and wonderful views. There's a few workout beams and a water cooler for people and pets. Splash pad in warm weather, plenty of room for picnics.
