Fenway Park is a historic and intimate ballpark located in Boston, known as the home of the Red Sox and a venue for big-name concerts. It holds a significant place in Boston's built environment, alongside landmarks like Faneuil Hall and the Freedom Trail. The stadium offers behind-the-scenes tours during the off-season and hosts a popular summer concert series.
Fenway is a iconic and historic ballpark. This was such an amazing experience. Saw the Red Sox vs. Houston Argos game (2-1 home win for Red Sox) and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and energy from the crowd was amazing and the lighteffects after the win were super cool. Food and beverages were okay priced, not too expensive in my opinion. Great experience being there!

This is the best tour I’ve been on in a long time! The street and local atmosphere is something out of a movie, and the tour is very affordable and informative. The guide was fantastic, telling fun stories of his life in Boston and his 10 years working at the field. We saw everything from the original seats to the press box, the green monster, and the special VIP museum that holds World Series balls, bats, uniforms and memorabilia from over the decades. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know, especially baseball lovers. So worth the time and money!
Ashley F — Google review
We took a guided tour of the Fenway stadium. Booked just about 45mins before the tour from the kiosk at the Gate D entrance on the Jersey street. Great experience. The tour guide, Abby (if I remember correctly), was great - very informed as well as great style of presenting facts. With very long history and so many interesting things happened with the Red Sox, the tour was definitely worth it. We don’t watch baseball and have only elementary knowledge of rules but it was still very much easy to understand. Definitely to be done if you’re in Boston.
Jay M — Google review
This was my first time visiting Fenway Park, and even though my team wasn’t playing, I knew I couldn’t come to Boston without checking it out. I’m so glad I did, the energy inside the stadium was incredible! From the moment I walked in, I felt the history and passion that make Fenway such a special place for baseball fans. The crowd was electric, and what really stood out was the sense of community. The entire stadium came together, singing songs, cheering, and living and breathing every moment of the game. I felt completely swept up in the excitement. We just so happened to be there for the game the Red Sox clinched their spot in the playoffs with a walk-off win! The stadium absolutely erupted. I’ve never felt that kind of excitement at a ball game before. You didn’t have to be a Red Sox fan to appreciate the moment. Being there for that walk-off and watching the team celebrate was something I’ll never forget. Fenway isn’t just a place to watch baseball it’s a place to feel it. The atmosphere, the history, the energy it all makes for an incredible experience.

Had a wonderful tour of Fenway Park with George. Loved his World Series rings. As a full time employee, he also gets a ring when the team does. The history of the ball park is so fascinating to hear. George did a beautiful job of telling the tales & was so enthusiastic about them. Another bucket list check off.

Fenway Park is one of the Mecca's of MLB that every baseball fan needs to visit in person. It was great attending a Boston Red Sox game in the one of the oldest baseball parks in America. The food was good and at a decent price, but it was the surrounding bars and restaurants around the park that made it a great overall baseball and sporting experience!
Josh B — Google review
Being a Cub fan from Chicago, home to the most iconic stadium in all of sport, I must say that I continue to be impressed with the condition of Fenway Park. It's no Wrigley Field, and it being a few years older, doesn't make it "grander", but it's a fun place to see a game. The fans are pretty great, and supportive of their team, but the place emptied out long before the game was over because the Sox were getting their butts kicked. You don't ever see that at Wrigley... no matter what the score. I was in Yankee Stadium in this trip out East too, and I continued to be unimpressed with that ballpark.
Larry B — Google review
Came out from California, San Francisco Giants fan. Got a real good look at this beautiful ballpark. I think what makes it special is the foul lines. Makes it look like an old ballpark I used to play in when I was 12 years old. Just kidding. But it does make it look really authentic when you're young playing baseball. We had a great time with the guide. He was very knowledgeable. And he was from California. I would strongly suggest this place if you are a baseball fan. The tour is great.

Museums
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is a leading art museum with neoclassical and modern wings that showcase a vast collection ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary American works. The museum features the Fenway Exhibition, "Hokusai: Inspiration and Influence," which pays homage to the iconic 19th-century painter and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai.
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a cultural treasure that seamlessly blends classical elegance with artistic daring. From the moment you arrive at its grand neoclassical entrance, you’re welcomed into a world where centuries of creativity come alive. During my two separate visits, I was fortunate to experience two remarkable special exhibitions — one devoted to the emotional intensity of Vincent van Gogh, the other to the surreal genius of Salvador Dalí. The Van Gogh gallery, featuring masterpieces like The Bedroom, his iconic self-portrait, and Portrait of Joseph Roulin, offered a deeply moving glimpse into the artist’s soul. Richly colored walls and thoughtful curation amplified the intimacy and expressive force of each work. In contrast, the Dalí exhibition was a surreal, cerebral delight. His dreamlike compositions — from melting clocks to optical illusions — challenged perception and drew viewers into a realm of bizarre beauty and psychological depth. Each piece was a puzzle, inviting quiet awe and contemplation. Outside these features, the MFA’s permanent collection is no less impressive. Lavish European galleries with crimson walls and ornate frames house everything from Baroque masterpieces to silverware displays arranged with regal symmetry. The museum’s scope — spanning continents and centuries — is both immersive and inspiring. Whether you’re an art aficionado or simply seeking a day of beauty and reflection, the MFA offers an unforgettable journey through the minds of artistic masters. A must-visit in Boston.

I recently visited the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and it was an outstanding experience. The museum's collection is vast and beautifully curated, ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary art. One of the highlights was the impressive collection of Impressionist paintings, featuring works by Monet, Degas, and Renoir. The layout of the museum makes it easy to navigate, with clear signage and plenty of space to enjoy each exhibit without feeling crowded. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to provide insights or answer questions. I also appreciated the temporary exhibitions, which brought fresh perspectives and unique pieces to the museum. The on-site café and gift shop were excellent additions, offering a pleasant break during the visit. Overall, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a must-see for anyone interested in art and culture. I would highly recommend setting aside a few hours to truly enjoy everything it has to offer.

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is incredible. There’s so much to see, from classic masterpieces to contemporary exhibits, and it’s really easy to spend a full day exploring without feeling overwhelmed. The galleries are well laid out, and the museum does a great job of balancing large, famous pieces with smaller, hidden gems! I love how interactive and engaging some of the exhibits are, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The museum has a really welcoming atmosphere, and I always leave inspired and wanting to come back. Whether you’re an art lover or just looking for a fun, cultural day out, the MFA is definitely worth visiting!! :)

The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston is a breathtaking cultural gem that masterfully combines timeless elegance with bold artistic innovation. As you step through its majestic neoclassical entrance, you’re instantly immersed in a vibrant world where centuries of creativity come to life. Inside, you'll discover an extraordinary array of art, from ancient Egyptian relics and classical European masterpieces to Greek, Roman, and Impressionist works. Don't miss the captivating collection of musical instruments, which adds an enchanting rhythm to the museum's diverse offerings. Overall, if you’re looking for a fabulous activity to do during the off-season, whether you’re a local or a tourist, MFABoston is an excellent choice! You’ll absolutely love it! Best, Srdan Dokovic

Absolutely amazing museum! Where shall I start?! Egyptian art, European art, Greek and Rome art, impressionist art - blew my mind, amazing collections! Musical instruments collection - mesmerizing! And the best part they open till 10pm on Thursday and Friday. I really appreciated that!

So nice, we went twice! But actually we had a morning planned to see the exhibits and loved what we saw , but had only seen a fraction after a few hours. We went the next day when they have $5 late night tickets to see some more. There's still so much to see and it's all so interesting. The cafe was good for a lunch. The staff were all super friendly. Set aside at least a day to visit if you want to see the highlights of all the exhibits.

Extremely popular attraction for tourists and locals. Not too crowded but full and friendly. I would like to return on a quieter day. I loved the museum design and height of exhibit halls. The Japanese art collection is the most impressive in the world.

An absolute marvel of ancient history covering different cultures dating back to 200 BC with so many unique and rare artifacts on display. Looking at those artifacts recovered from Giza tomb brings a different perspective to history and how the civilization used to trive back then. Truly majestic and I would highly recommend. Asian artifacts enclosure was great too. So many exquisite paintings at display which would leave you in awe. Oh yes, did I mention a lovely concept they had going outside the museum main entrance where they have some tables setup, they give you some supplies, click your picture and you can use those supplies to decorate your pictures and get it framed. My Little ones enjoyed it a lot sitting under the shade. Parking can be a challenge and expensive too provided you reach early and find one. We parked in one of the garage and museum was walkable from there. If you are in Boston then this museum is a must see. Cheers!!

Very unique museum! I'm very glad I left the toddler at home - definitely only for kids who will absolutely not touch, as many works of art are not protected. The cafe makes for a nice little break in the day. The prices were $20/plate but it was delicious. We spent maybe 2.5 hrs total including lunch.

I have wanted to visit for years and I finally got my chance. What a wonderful museum. I truly enjoyed that it was organized the way she wanted and that won't change. I found it refreshing that there weren't descriptions posted on everything because I'd recently felt that, for me personally, I was spending more time reading and less time observing. The courtyard is delightful and unifies the whole museum, the floral design was beautiful. Thank you to all the helpful staff as well. I'm looking forward to my next visit

Amazing I’ve been dying to come to this museum for 5 years now and finally I was able to see it. The collection is extensive and gorgeous. The garden transports you to a calm and serene place. I spent about 30 minutes looking out into it and admiring it before continuing with the rest of the museum

Visited on a weekday with my child and had a great experience exploring the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The museum has three floors filled with a variety of art objects, each room curated with its own unique theme. Many rooms feature beautiful and rare religious artifacts. Even on a weekday, it was quite crowded, so moving through some areas took time. Timed-entry tickets are required, so it’s best to reserve in advance. The courtyard garden is stunning, with blooming flowers creating a peaceful and colorful atmosphere. Overall, it was a good visit and worth the trip.
Rose D — Google review
This was by far one of the coolest collections of art from around the world. I have never visited such a well thought out installation. The walk through was a feast for the eyes! Each room was better than the last and the interior garden was breathtaking!
Michelle B — Google review
Wow. This was a stunning collection of art, carefully curated into distinct rooms to complement each piece. The museum itself is beautiful and peaceful. It has art but also lots of fun pieces of history as well. The audioguides are informative and interesting! I spent 3 hours here, but could have spent the day. I do love museums though. Definitely worth a visit! Come early and/or book tickets online. They do sell out. There is a cafe and a gift shop.
Brittany S — Google review
The museum’s famous garden was beautiful, and there was certainly a great number of collections for an individual to amass. However, I wish there had been more explanations or descriptions next to the exhibits. We visited as soon as it opened on Saturday, and it was already quite packed to really enjoy the art.
Gabbie K — Google review
An extraordinary museum with a unique atmosphere that feels more like stepping into a beautiful home than a gallery. The courtyard is breathtaking, the art collection is diverse, and every corner tells a story. A peaceful yet inspiring place that combines history, architecture, and culture in a way unlike any other museum. Truly unforgettable.

Hamburger restaurant
Tasty Burger is a laid-back spot in Fenway that offers an array of inventive burgers and a variety of craft beers until late at night. Whether you opt to dine in or grab takeout from the open window, you're in for a treat. The freshly baked patty and onion rings, along with crisp veggies, make for a delectable burger experience that won't break the bank. The thin-cut, flour-dipped onion rings are particularly noteworthy for their crunchiness and sweetness.
I was initially surprised and disappointed by the closure of the Original Tasty Burger near Fenway Park, but then I discovered that the restaurant had moved to a brand-new, shiny location on Van Ness Street, just a stone's throw from Fenway. The menu is exactly the same as when I last visited, even though the place looks brand new. The interior is very inviting and cozy. The burgers are still excellent. I had a cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato, plus some onion strings on the side. It was a delicious meal, though I regret not getting the fries. The service was great, and my food came out super fast. I just love a good burger.
Wallace W — Google review
I was in town for work and we went out to Tasty Burger for lunch. This was right across from Fenway Park. I will say, this place lives up to its name of Tasty Burger. It really was great. They also had some roll-up windows on the side to let in fresh air, which was really nice. They had some cool artwork up, including ones from the movie from which Tasty Burger was born. I wish we had some of these near us where I live.

(8/20/25) We had an absolutely excellent experience dining here for the first time! It’s a comfortable casual atmosphere. The noise level was quiet during our particular stop. The food is very delicious and cooked perfectly! Great menu items and their prices are very competitively priced for the quantities they serve! The wait staff are top notch; friendly and knowledgeable and very responsive. Can’t say enough good stuff about this restaurant!! Highly recommend! We will definitely return here during our next Boston trip!!
Paul V — Google review
Great prices for food and drinks! Post Halloween bar crawl was a special time to be at tasty burger. Luckily we got seated almost immediately. There was a table of grannies, various mario characters and animals, and regulars as well. Got the cheeseburger and 50/50. Onion rings are delicious, fries are perfect too. Must try the tasty fry seasoning!
Grace Z — Google review
The food is so amazing I’ll be back - however service is truly awful. Went at 11 , ordered a regular chicken sandwich with all of the fixings and a shake for take out. In the takeout area there is no seating and we stood for around an hour to get a sandwich that had no fixings. I didn’t even bother to tell the server cause my parking expired at midnight. Hustled back to my parking and just threw the sandwich in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. Still, despite anything on it, tasted flipping great. I’ll be back, and make sure I have plenty of time to spare. But please for the love of sandwiches try to fix your service quality. I don’t minding standing around for something truly awesome but man what a disappointment not having any fixings.
April A — Google review
Fatty processed chicken sandwiches all stringy pieces of fat throughout every bite. Completely inedible and disgusting. See photos for examples. Absolutely horrid experience start to finish. They should remove this from their menus and change their business name as it was far from tasty let alone pleasant. Uber driver was smoking in the passenger seat and took 2+ hours to deliver. Food was cold and overall one of the worst experiences to date.
R C — Google review
I caught dinner here before a Red Sox game - the staff seem to be knowledgeable about allergens so I recommend trying here if you have allergies. I have a dairy allergy, so I got their Turney burger without cheese on a gluten and dairy free bun. The bun was very dry, but flavorful - the turkey patty and sauce were good. I loved their fries/fry seasoning.
Meri S — Google review
I wanted just a great ballpark meal, and I got it! I got a hot dog with some onion rings, and my husband got a burger. Our server was cool and joked with us a bunch, and I had a great time! I joked that the burger looked so perfect, it looked like a crabby patty.

Mexican restaurant
El Pelón Taqueria is a popular spot known for its made-to-order Mexican street eats, including fish tacos and beefy burritos topped with housemade salsas. The small and cheerful space tends to get crowded before Red Sox games, as fans rush in for a quick bite or grab to-go orders. The menu features authentic favorites like fried plantains, house tacos filled with outstanding proteins, and braised pork tortas with spicy mayo and lime onions.
The food, both taste and texture, is on point, the portions are very big for what you pay for. The atmosphere is... really it's mostly a place to pick up the good food to go elsewhere but they do have cramped seating for roughly 20 people.
Jonathon S — Google review
This place has a very casual and fun vibe. The staff greets you with a big smile. The menu is not too large but big enough to make you want to order everything! I never heard of Mexican sandwiches but glad I tried it. It was amazing! Their tacos and plantains are blasting with flavors! So glad we found this place.
Sammi C — Google review
Let’s be real. Boston isn’t exactly overflowing with great Mexican restaurants, and when it comes to Fenway, it feels like a desert. El Pelon used to be the most decent one in the area, but its quality has gone down in the past few years. I used to order their Platos for delivery occasionally, but I recently had a bad experience with the pork and chicken platos. Both meats were dry, and the toppings lacked the punch of flavor you'd expect. Even compared to local chains like El Jefe’s, it fell flat. The Steak Platos I tried during lunch were a slight improvement, but not enough to quench my Mexican cravings. It’s a shame that El Pelon is still considered the best takeout Mexican option near Fenway. Not sure if I’ll be going back.
Jea K — Google review
Was recommended the El guapo burrito. Tasted great! Good flavour and i think there was banana or some kinda fruit in there which i found rly unique! It was really affordable as well. Even more significant for me though was that the service was topnotch. The lady who served me was all smiles and v friendly. She even went out of her way when I asked for a favor regarding keeping my backpack safe for an hour as I couldn't have it w me. To my surprise she accepted. If you're reading this I want to say thank you again. I can't commend them and recommend them enough!!
Keng Y — Google review
The Interior is relatively small, with limited seating. Still very cute and great for a quick lunch. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying the Americanos tacos. These tacos are a great choice for anyone who loves Mexican-inspired cuisine and is looking for a tasty and filling dish. The chicken is grilled to perfection, resulting in a juicy and flavorful meat that is the perfect complement to the creamy sour cream and fresh cilantro. Definitely one of the best taco places in Boston!
Maggie — Google review
This place has given Mexican food their own unique twist. The food is pretty good, and at reasonable prices. I had their enchiladas a favorite of mine. The only issue I had was that my enchiladas were swimming in sour cream but other than that I had no complaints. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a cool vibe and while eating in or waiting for takeout, you can’t help but go through each and every photo covering the walls. It almost makes you feel like you are traveling to all of these places around the world while you are at El Pelón. I recommend you check this place out. You won’t be disappointed! 😋
Luna Q — Google review
Pretty good Mexican food. Tried it for the first time today and I have no complaints. They make your food very quickly it took about 5 minutes from when I ordered until when I walked out the door. I didn’t get to try the guac or chips and salsa but they did look delicious. I got a chicken & steak plate. Had some good flavor and both the meats were cooked well and seasoned well. Looking forward to trying to other dishes from here.

Second or third time here. Food has been excellent each time. Tacos are delicious and very filling for $3. Plantains are a must, and definitely try the green hot sauce (which is hotter than it initially lets on). Awesome service too.

Modern French restaurant
Deuxave is a chic and elegant restaurant located in Back Bay, offering modern French and American cuisine in a stylish setting. The restaurant is known for its romantic ambiance, making it a popular spot for special occasions and milestone celebrations. The menu features beautifully presented dishes such as foie gras with poached quince, spiced duck breast with persimmon puree, and other sophisticated options that are perfect for an intimate dining experience.
I typically don’t leave reviews, but I felt really inclined to share my wonderful experience at Deuxave. My partner and I had reservations for my birthday. Upon arrival, the host was very respectful. We had the pleasure of being served by Leidy, who was very knowledgeable about the dishes and gave us fantastic wine and desert recommendations. The waitstaff was very attentive, and we had the pleasure of also being served by a gentleman who worked the section tonight (I feel bad I didn’t catch his name). The food left us speechless, kudos to the chef and the rest of the back of the house staff for preparing a wonderful meal. We will definitely be returning soon!

We loved our experience at Deuxave. The food was delicious. The ambiance is warm, intimate, and romantic. It’s the kind of place where you can really relax and enjoy a special evening. Definitely a spot we’ll remember and come back to.

Lovely restaurant with great bar seating for dinner, nice wine selection and tasty french food. I think for me it’s a 4 1/2. Everything we ate was very good but I wasn’t wowed by anything either. I was really excited to try the duo of beef and the tartare was good but for me the carpaccio was overwhelmed by the anchovy sauce it was served with. The duck confit was tender and very flavorful. Same for the duck entree. We ordered the duck medium, and it was cooked as requested. The halibut entree was also tasty but i felt the fish was a touch over. We ordered the fries because apparently they are a must have. They were very good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Both desserts were tasty.

Boston’s favorite real estate broker here with another review. This place was incredible from start to finish. I was especially impressed with our waiter’s knowledge of the menu and overall friendly and social nature. As for the food it was out of this world. My wife got the french onion soup started, and me the wagyu tartar / steak carpaccio (forgot the exact name), both were amazing. She had the mushroom ravioli and said it was the best she has ever had. I had the duck breast entree and can say for certain it was by far the best piece of duck I have ever had. Highly recommend and call me if you want to buy a home in the area and then you can eat here whenever you like.

Deuxave is an old favorite of mine - always an awesome time and fantastic food. The ambiance is elegant, the service is great and they have delightful cocktails and a pretty good wine list. All this combined makes for a consistently excellent experience. I'd say that you cannot go wrong - whatever you decide to order. Some of dishes we had on this occasion were the lobster gnocchi, the seared foie gras, the duck liver pate, the octopus, the duet of prime beef, the duck breast - everything is perfectly executed and it is delicious. The desserts were lovely too, my favorite being the parfait au chocolate. Whether it is a special occasion, an elegant date night or a random impromptu visit, Deuxave is always a great choice. TIP: if you want a more intimate setting, ask for one of their booths.

Deuxave has been a favorite special occasion restaurant for years. We love the big smiling welcome as if they’re excited to see us. Can’t say enough about the creatively genius kitchen, scrumptious mocktail, and Paul, a friendly, social, and knowledgeable garçon, who was with us for the evening. Hand-made butter on their signature homemade brioche bread could be a meal. That, along with roasted baby beet salad with so many complementary flavors was enough for the entire meal flavor and fullness-wise. We dove in to the salty, lemony flavor explosion in the mustard greens paired with the silky butter melting into the bread. Followed by the char, with barley, spinach and artichoke purée, and fava beans ….. too good to name. Too full for dessert!!

Park
Boston Common, established in 1634, is a nearly 50-acre urban park with a rich history dating back to the American Revolution. It was once used for various purposes such as cattle grazing and militia musters. Over time, it has transformed into a beloved green space in downtown Boston. The park features ballparks, a playground, and several monuments including the Embrace, Soldiers and Sailors, and Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Regiment monuments.
Boston Common is a beautiful, historic park right in the heart of the city. The open green spaces are perfect for a stroll, a picnic, or just relaxing and people-watching. There are plenty of paths to explore, benches to rest on, and seasonal events that make it lively throughout the year. It’s easy to get to, and the surrounding city views add to the charm. A great spot to take a break while exploring Boston.

A place to immerse yourself in the nature to find your true self. Boston Commons is the place which let you have the thrills of Military 🪖🎖️ artillery showcases, thousands of flags for memorial Day celebration, Japanese cultural festival, Boston Pride Day celebration and more and the chirping of birds, sprints of squirrels and quacks of the 🦆 all at once. To me this place has been my go-to destination every weekend to channelize my emotions and get back with more energy. Kudos to everyone making this place magical.

This is such a beautiful and special spot in the city! No matter the season, it’s always such a nice place to walk around, sit with a coffee, people watch, or just take in the scenery. It’s got so much history, but it also feels very alive and welcoming. I love how it’s right in the middle of everything, you can wander through and end up in so many different parts of Boston!

It's is a big park with a very popular arm crossing sculpture at one end of the park. There is also a welcome center where you can find a lot of merchandise. And also there are restaurants fast food around the park. In the park you can see many people sitting there with their children and a lot of people. They are many people listening to the guides introduction of the history of Boston. There are a lot of ducks and squirrels. The squirrels here are not afraid of people. If you have food they will just approach you. This is surprising to me because I see a lot of other places whereas borrows won't just run away when people walk by. And many pigeons are in the park. Maybe because of the weather of Boston you can see red leaves. They're beautiful and a little pond in the center of the park. There is no parking so you better walk there but the transportation is very convenient.

This would be a top park if it wasn’t so full of literal garbage. I know the city clearly has a problem with trash pick up but this park is another example of an otherwise beautiful place to visit scarred by trash. It is a nice place to go since the entire city is full of trash in the streets so no matter where you go you’ll be dodging questionable things in the streets so at least walk through a nice park while your doing it.

Absolutely beautiful park! Every time I've visited there is some kind of event going on. People relaxing, walking their dogs, people gathered at the visitor center ready to go on a Freedom Trail walking tour... A wonderful park surrounded by so much history and every day life alike. Check it out if you're ever in Boston. 🙂

I have visited Boston Common multiple times, and I always love coming back. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful greenery make it a perfect place to relax. The small pond with geese is delightful to watch, and there are plenty of walking trails throughout the park. It is also a great spot for a picnic, especially in the evenings. During the summer, Boston Common hosts Shakespeare in the Park, which is always amazing to watch. The park is conveniently located near AMC and Red and Green Line train stations, making it easily accessible by public transport. Additionally, it is the starting point of the Freedom Trail, which is perfect for exploring more of Boston.

🌳 Boston Common & Public Garden is truly the heart of the city and one of the most beautiful spots in Boston. It perfectly combines a sense of history with the calmness of nature. 🌸 The gardens are well-kept, with lovely walking paths, the iconic Swan Boats on the pond, and wide green lawns perfect for a picnic or just relaxing. 🏞 The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant at the same time — you can stroll for hours, enjoy the views, listen to street performers, and feel the city’s rhythm. For me, this is an absolute must-visit in Boston ✨ Come during the day or in the evening — the park feels magical in both.

The New England Holocaust Memorial, located near the bustling Freedom Trail in Boston, is a poignant tribute to the memory of the Holocaust. The memorial features six towering glass structures etched with six million numbers, representing the lives lost during this tragic period in history. Each tower symbolizes one of the six major concentration camps and serves as a solemn reminder of the atrocities that occurred during the six years of the Holocaust.
The architecture and design of this memorial are truly remarkable. It features six stunning glass towers that stand 54 feet tall, symbolizing the 6 million Jews lost during the Holocaust. Each tower has a pit of fire at its base, which creates a haunting display of smoke rising into the chamber above. As you walk through, you'll notice countless ID numbers etched into the glass pillars. These numbers serve as a poignant reminder of the individuals and families who suffered, reflecting the tattoos that prisoners received during that dark time. This beautiful memorial was brought to life by a group of dedicated Holocaust survivors in the Boston area, and it was officially dedicated in October 1995. It provides a heartfelt space for reflection, emphasizing the importance of human rights and standing as a beacon of memory and hope for all.
Bernie — Google review
This Memorial came about from the efforts of many people. The founder Stephan Ross /Szmulek Rozental, a Holocaust survivor, was imprisoned by the Nazis and lost his parents, five sisters and one brother. Ross survived ten concentration camps, a broken back, being hung by noose, tuberculosis and starvation between 1940 and 1945. He and his brother Harry were freed from Dachau by American forces. At age sixteen, he came to America in 1948. He would overcome illiteracy and achieve three college degrees. He would work for the city of Boston for forty years. Wanting a memorial to those who perished in the Holocaust and to those who liberated the camps, Ross shared his idea with WW2 veteran William Carmen and Israel Arbeiter, president of the American Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors of Greater Boston. Both Boston mayors Raymond Flynn and Thomas Menino came onboard with many others. It was dedicated on October 22nd, 1995. Construction began on Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Memorial Day. Stanley Saitowitz was the architect of the memorial. Six 54' glass towers with 24 glass panels. Twenty-two of the glass panels, totalling 132, are inscribed with both with series of seven numbers representing the tattooed numbers placed on the people who went to the concentration camps and a quote of a survivor. There are 17,280 unique and 2,280,960 random numbers. The light causes the shadows from the numbers to cover you. Six towers were built to represent the six million Jews who perished, the years 1939-1945 of the "Final Solution"and the six Polish concentration camps, CHELMNO. TREBLINKA. MAJDANEK. SOBIBOR. AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU. BELZEC. Steam is emitted from black concrete pits with 6' square grates with lights underneath that you can walk across. Called chambers by Saitowitz, the glass columns are supposed to represent the chimneys at the concentration camps. Each entryway has a specific meaning. One has the outline of events that leads to the Wannsee Conference. The other has a quote from Pastor Martin Niemoller. Black granite ramps with the word "REMEMBER" in English and Hebrew. The history of the rise of the Nazi party and the Holocaust is briefly outlined along the black granite path between each tower. One entryway you can leave a white stone 🪨 of remembrance. Someone left a lei of flowers. Other victims are told of. Homosexuals, Jehovah Witnesses, Romani/Gypsies, political dissidents and the physically and mentally disabled also perished. "Holocaust" and the Hebrew counterpart "Shoah" are engraved. I am not certain about about the stone garden. I picture the countless people in the concentration camps or the countless people who just watched and did nothing. The memorial has been the victim of vandalism and protest🪧. When I visited one woman spat on the ground. I also picked up litter that was left there. Thanks to nehm.org, Wikipedia and Boston Discovery Guide for information ℹ️ about the memorial. I hope to visit in the evening and I encourage others to visit as well. There are virtual tours online but visiting it in person was powerful.

Even though the circumstances that created the need for the memorial were awful. This memorial was a beautiful tribute to the memory of what happened. The whole energy was very solemn and inspiring to prevent history from repeating itself. There were a lot of student groups going through so it was quite nice to see people still learning about this. The memorial was actually rather busy which is a good thing. This needs to be seen and people need to know what happened. I loved all the factual information that was also provided because it helped inform those who were visiting who may not know all the details.

Walk between plate after plate of glass etched with numbers. It’s overwhelming. It’s located just outside of long wharf and takes only minutes to actually walk through. But the feeling stays with you for much longer. It’s free and everyone should take the time to see it

✡️ Sobering, Moving - A Beautiful Tribute and a Harrowing Reminder ✡️ As you walk the Freedom Trail through Boston, you may pass a series of six, glass towers (54 feet high). Take the time to stop and experience this memorial, as it will leave you reflective, reminded, and changed. The architecture and symbolic design of this memorial cannot be overstated. It begins with six glass towers, representing the 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust. Each tower is lined with a pit of fire, from which smoke emits into the chamber above. Memories of camp survivors are etched on the glass walls as you pass through, as are millions of numbers--each symbolic of an individual life. These numbers "tattoo" themselves on you as you walk by, and the light casts them as shadows over your skin. In the words of the memorial itself: "These six towers are emblems of faith, a covenant of trust that memorializes a collective evil." Stop. Remember. Reflect.
Casey — Google review
The New England Holocaust Memorial, a solemn masterpiece rising like a poignant sonnet in Boston's landscape. Its six glass towers, etched with numbers, stand as pillars of remembrance, summoning the shadows of history. The haunting beauty of the smoke-like structures intertwines with the resilience of the human spirit, creating a memorial where the echoes of the past resound with dignity. In this sacred space, visitors traverse a narrative etched in glass and stone, a testament to the enduring power of memory and the collective hope for a world free from such darkness. Never Forget!

The Old State House, located in the heart of Boston, is a historic building that served as the original seat of colonial government and later as the state capitol. Today, it houses historical exhibits that offer visitors a glimpse into Boston's role in the American Revolution. Constructed in 1713, it is the oldest surviving public building in Boston. It was a rainy weekend in Boston and we’re looking for indoor activities and the old state house was on top of our list. It is a true gem nestled in the heart of Boston’s historic downtown. Stepping inside feels like walking through a living timeline—every room echoes with the events that shaped America. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, blending artifacts, interactive elements, and detailed storytelling to bring the revolutionary era to life. Whether you’re a history buff or a curious traveler, this site is well worth the visit. Give yourself at least an hour or two to fully appreciate everything. Highly recommended!

We visited on a Wednesday morning in mid-June 2025. We were doing this as part of the Freedom Trail. They did not open until 10AM. This is a paid site but has a combo ticket with the Old South Meeting House as well. We were trying to complete the entire trail in the better part of a day so we didn't have much time to visit each and every site. We decided to pass on this particular one but we did walk into their gift shop area. This is where they have their National Park Service Passport Cancellation stamp. You do not have to pay to get the stamp. The store at least was a pretty good size and had tons of merch. Hopefully one day we'll come back and be able to actually explore the inside here. There is a sign with stantions and a small gate that said Tickets Required to enter the museum. Just outside the front here is the Boston Massacre Site.

The history in and around this building is amazing. We loved learning more about our history and being able to stand in the building and surrounding areas where things actually took place was impressive.

I was in a rush, and on my way out, I asked an expert to tell me the History. I asked him if he could explain it in record time. This man blew my co-worker and me away with his sheer knowledge, animation, and fantastic storytelling skills. He would speak of the stories and point to a photo, then casually walk over to another image and ask if we noticed something. He was so engaging. He had us all hooked on every word. He needs a raise and promotion. I want to have someone who is well-versed and makes it worth going to a museum. He brought that museum and old History to life. To have someone there to answer every question and get the answer to life, I almost felt I was there. I want to remember his name, but I can't. He was a tall fella and, I believe, salt and pepper hair. This message is for the manager. You have made an excellent choice in having him represent this amazing Old State House. I won't lie. The Old State House goes from a $13 entrance fee to a $1000 value because of this fantastic, well-versed history buff man. I noticed there is not much to see in Boston compared to NY, where I am from. Still, I will recommend this Old State House because of this professional who studied and interpreted the past with such specificity detailing time periods or regions. IF ANY of you remember his name, comment on it.

Iconic & Historical building in the heart of Boston! We loved this building, it is very 'grand' and shown really well how it must have been a few centuries back. As we we are coming from Europe we were doing the Freedom Tour trail and this is like stop number 9, but probably one of our favorite buildings. Sadly we did not have the time to go inside this time but maybe next time we are in Boston we will definitely do it. Highly recommended!

The Public Garden, established in 1837 and located adjacent to Boston Common, is a serene and picturesque city park featuring a lagoon, boat rides, fountains, and various attractions. This historic Victorian-era garden boasts meticulously groomed flower beds showcasing 80 plant species, ornate fencing, tree-lined pathways with benches for relaxation, and iconic public art such as the Duckling Sculpture and a statue of George Washington.
My family is here on a college visit and we like to wake up early. We decided to go to the Public garden for the first time on a Sunday morning around 8 am. It was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and calm. Perfect way to start your day.

Such a beautiful and peaceful spot! I could have stayed all day, especially with the perfect fall weather. I captured some amazing Boston shots during my mini photoshoot. While there were plenty of people and lots of photo-taking happening, there were also plenty of quiet corners to escape the crowds. Truly loved my time here!

The Boston Public Garden is a must-see! It's a gorgeous escape right in the middle of the city, and a perfect spot to relax and get away from all the noise. The trees are stunning, especially in the fall when the colors are just magical. I love watching the squirrels play and taking a stroll along the paved pathways. The famous Swan Boats on the lagoon are a charming sight, and the park is great for all ages. It's completely free to enter, open from dawn to dusk, and super easy to get to with the Arlington and Boylston T stops nearby. Don't forget to say hi to the "Make Way for Ducklings" statue! It's a beautiful, peaceful place that's perfect for a walk, a date, or just unwinding.

We love this place! It’s serene and peaceful. This time around, we rode on the Swan Boat which was so nice since the last time we were here was in the Fall and the lake was empty. So glad we were able to check it out in the Summer. Be aware if it’s hot outside, the Swan boat is open so you are exposed to the sun and the elements, but you get a nice breeze from the water.

This public garden is stunning! Right next to Boston Common but wayyyy better in my opinion! There are plenty of comfortable benches in the shade of old growth trees. The pond is lovely and helps keep the whole area cool. I was there on a busy Saturday morning and yet it felt peaceful enough to read and reflect. I would recommend taking time to just sit and embrace the beautiful weather. There is a large pond that you can pay to ride around on a medium sized man powered boat. Also there was a small craft fair that popped up on the sidewalk just outside of the park around 11 a.m., it was fun to walk through and look at the vendors' items.

Boston Public Garden completely will steal your heart. From the moment you stepped in, you will felt like you had entered a peaceful, green sanctuary right in the middle of the city. The landscaping is stunning—vivid flowers in full bloom, lush trees that offer shade and comfort, and carefully maintained pathways that invite you to stroll slowly and soak in the atmosphere. One of my favorite moments was watching the iconic Swan Boats glide gently across the pond. It felt like something out of a storybook. I also loved seeing families, couples, and solo visitors all enjoying the space in their own way—whether reading a book under a tree, having a picnic, or just relaxing on a bench. I took my time wandering through the park, taking photos of the beautiful statues and fountains, especially the George Washington statue. Everything about the garden feels peaceful, thoughtful, and timeless. It’s not just a park—it’s a place that invites you to pause and breathe. If you’re visiting Boston, you absolutely cannot miss this place. It’s a perfect blend of nature, history, and quiet joy. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the city. Highly recommended for all ages and interests.

The Boston Public Library - Central Library is a historic gem with grand Renaissance-style architecture and murals by John Singer Sargent. As the oldest municipally-funded lending library in the U.S., it boasts the iconic McKim Building, designed by renowned architect Charles Follen McKim. Visitors can enjoy free tours, lectures, and exhibits throughout the year, including Art & Architecture Tours that reveal hidden treasures like tile arches by Rafael Guastavino. The library also houses the Norman B.
Incredible space. If you love books, art, history, architecture, cool vibes and unique spaces…then this is the place for you. I highly recommend just spending a full day exploring. From the gorgeous and traditional library with the famous green lamp room to the modern addition that actually feels like a mall or an airport, there’s literally a space for everyone. Just pick your vibe and sit down with a book, your laptop, a cup of coffee, alone or with a friend and just read, study, work or my favorite… people watch! One part feels like a classic museum that you just happen to get to hang out in and the other part feels like a modern museum that you also just happen to get to hang out in! The food area with the stage is also super convenient if you’re hungry. Best part? It’s a public library so it’s all free! Definitely a place to experience in person and not just read about. Highly recommend! Enjoy! I know we did 👍

I visited the library on July 3rd eager to experience this place I had heard so much about and also see their many copies of the Declaration of Independence. The library itself is stunning. I could easily have spent an entire day there, but my travel companion was not nearly as interested as I was. It is a bit of a maze to wind your way through. There are famous murals, but tracking them down took several wrong turns and guidance from staff to locate. I cannot get over how magnificent the space was, from the historic architecture and spaces to the more modern sections. I could easily have brought a book to read outside to the Courtyard and spent an afternoon there soaking in the sun. If I have an opportunity to return, I would very much like to have lunch at the Tearoom. There is also a café near the main entrance and next to the set/stage they use for their podcast. The copies of the Declaration were the highlight for me. As a history nerd, I cannot fully describe what it meant to spend time in that room. It is an experience I highly recommend for anyone who is similarly interested in American history. I highly recommend a visit here. There is something for everyone.

I’ve had the honor of photographing a wedding at The Boston Public Library, and it really is a dream wedding venue to photograph at. The courtyard, the grand staircases, the way the light falls through those historic windows, it all feels straight out of a storybook. The team there is wonderful to work with too, making such an iconic space feel warm and personal.

Walking into the Boston Public Library for the first time felt like stepping into another world — one where knowledge, beauty, and history all collide in the most magical way. It’s not just a library; it’s an experience, a sanctuary, and a true cultural treasure. From the moment I entered the McKim Building, I was completely awestruck. The Renaissance-style architecture, grand staircases, arched ceilings, and murals by Edwin Abbey and John Singer Sargent — every detail felt like it belonged in a European palace. The Bates Reading Room, with its iconic green lamps and cathedral-like hush, took my breath away. Sitting there, surrounded by quiet thinkers and the weight of stories from centuries past, felt almost sacred. But what moved me most was how accessible and welcoming it all felt. The library isn’t just a monument to knowledge — it’s alive. Locals reading in the courtyard, students studying in the reading rooms, tourists marveling at the art and architecture… it’s a beautiful blend of old-world elegance and modern-day community. The courtyard, with its gentle fountain and open sky, is one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever sat with a book and a coffee. The Boston Public Library reminded me that public spaces can be powerful — places that inspire, connect, and elevate us. I left feeling both small in the best way and deeply grateful that such a place exists for everyone to enjoy.

A friend of mine recommended this place and as I was walking through Boston exploring the city, I decided to stop by for a quick bite. The menu is extensive and the staff are very nice. It’s a order at the front and sit down serving yourself place.I’ve included a photo of the menu below. I had the chicken sandwich with a side of fries and got the sauce, which was like a spicy mayo. The chicken itself was very tasty with a good crisp texture. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Got the poutine and it was bland. The chicken sandwich was decent - it had a good flavor but not a lot of meat to it. The staff was not very friendly and seemed slightly annoyed. Wishing I would have got the chef special burger instead of the Chicken sandwich. My wife got the crunchy goddess salad - she said it was basic They have bathrooms downstairs if you need to look for one.

Came here in summer and it was our first time in Boston. We ordered the brats and burger. Everything was good, tasty and juicy. The staff was helpful and friendly. Definitely will come back when we visit again

Ordered the Diablo chicken sandwich and a normal poutine. The chicken sandwich was very juicy and well seasoned, but nowhere near as spicy as they made it out to be. The poutine was also tasty and had actual cheese curds. However, the gravy was a bit salty. It was manageable for the first half, but it became a bit overbearing towards the end. I still recommend it, but it’s something that should be shared.

The overall presentation was awesome! The restaurant was clean, open kitchen design, friendly staff and convently located. We ordered the lobster roll, chicken sandwich and sausage hotdog. The food was well seasoned, freshly prepared, fairly priced and large portions. If your in the city don't forget to visit.

Chicken restaurant
The Chicken And Rice Guys is a halal chicken and rice restaurant in downtown Boston with perfect seasoned and tender chicken, spiced rice, and amazing sauces. The bread is stiff but can be softened with a softer texture, but overall had a nice and filling dinner. One criticism is for the bread, it was stiff.
🌟 Chicken & Rice Guys - 280 Washington St, Boston, MA 02108 🌟 If you're looking for a filling, affordable, and convenient meal in downtown Boston, Chicken & Rice Guys is a solid go-to spot. Their menu keeps it simple yet satisfying, offering halal chicken 🍗, gyro 🥩, and tofu 🍃, all served over rice or salad with your choice of sauce. Their chicken bowl ($12.23) 🥡 was well-seasoned and juicy. The gyro ($10.70) was flavorful, tender, and had that classic beef-lamb blend that pairs perfectly with their creamy garlic sauce 🧄 (my favorite!). Be warned: the hot sauce 🌶️ packs serious heat, so use it sparingly unless you love a fiery kick. Also, if you are vegetarian they offer tofu. One of the highlights is their variety of sauces—from creamy garlic 🥄 to white sauce and hot sauce, they let you customize your bowl exactly how you like it. And don’t skip the baklava 🍯, which adds a sweet and nutty finish to your meal. This is truly a takeout-focused spot—the food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is quick ⚡. However, ambiance-wise, it’s pretty minimal (2/10) 🏚️, so it’s not a place to linger. But for affordability (9/10) 💰, and portion size, it’s a full meal that won’t leave you hungry. Food-wise, I’d rate it a 7/10 🍽️—tasty, reliable, and hits the spot when you need something quick and satisfying!

The portion size was really good, especially for the price we paid. It wasn’t too busy when I visited, but the tables weren’t clean, so I had to wipe one down myself before sitting. On the positive side, the service was quick. Overall, a good place to eat if you’re in a h

This place is great! So much food for only $10 and the bowls are packed with flavor! Love that the sauces are on the side so you can customize your bowl to your liking. The creamy garlic and mint cilantro are my favorite! This place gets packed during lunch but the line moves really fast. Definitely recommend!

Good lunch spot. I enjoyed my lunch. Got a small chicken and rice. It was good and even better with the white garlic cream sauce and bbq sauce.

Awesome no frills chicken and rice plates. Gets super crowded at lunch time, lines can be out the door, but it moves pretty fast. The lemonade is good too. I go here almost every time im in Boston for a quick lunch

I usually love Chicken amd Rice guys - food is delicious and the service is fast. However, I found a fingernail in my bowl today. This is the first time I've seen this, but just be careful please. I'll still be coming back, but might eat much more slowly next time out of caution.

My list of gotos is expanding! Found the perfect spot..(in-between subway spots..lol) and within walking distance to my current location. Anytime I can get an abundant Lamb and Chicken combo, it's a win-win. I've come here twice consecutively and have been blown away by the customer service, attention to detail, and their tasty offerings of chicken and lamb with cukes and tomatoes, which is my favorite. Add the mint/cilantro/jalapeño, some hot sauce, and the white sauce, and I'm extremely content. Don't forget the lemonade. I urge everyone to indulge no less than twice a week for the good food, ambiance, and excellent customer service.

Food is delicious, especially the meat! Service is also fast! The rice is however slightly disappointing. I wish it was slightly less wet. Overall, still largely tasty! I also tried their baklava and it is also pretty good! Plus points that it is a halal place so I can dine with my muslims friends here in future!

Italian restaurant
Contessa Boston is an opulent rooftop restaurant located at The Newbury Hotel, offering Italian-inspired cuisine with panoramic views of the Boston skyline. Owned by Major Food Group, it's known for its tough-to-score tables and luxurious decor featuring emerald, teal, and rose-hued velvet, pastel stone tile floors, and shiny brass accents. The restaurant serves sumptuous dishes like lobster spaghetti and offers one of the best complementary bread baskets in the city.
This place is a homerun. We went for early dinner on a Sunday. It wasn’t packed (b/c of the hour). Kind hostess, attentive team but without being overly intrusive. Our server, Conner, was informed on the menu, made thoughtful recommendations. My hubby ended up with two glasses of their Chablis by the glass and I had two glasses of the Dom by the glass. Both were perfect and generous pours by the Som. For food, they brought a bread basket with focaccia bread, olives, and parmesan cheese. I the had the meatballs (which were a 10/10) and hubby had the insalade verde (8/10). For mains, I had an amazingly tasty corn ravioli with a brown butter (10/10), and hubby had the scallops with capers (8/10). The overall vibe was fun from the ambiance and the team. A few stuffy patrons but overall, this is a must stop in Boston. We’re foodies used the Michelin stars in SF and this place holds its own. ❤️

Mostly amazing experience. Great rooftop spot and lively atmosphere. The food was mostly extremely good, especially the lobster capellini which was incredible. Also the ice cream was delicious. The oysters were very small and were strangely served with a very spicy sauce - we had to ask for the usual sauce which took a while. The salad was substantial but a bit boring. The salmon was very good. The service was extremely good, with the notable exception of a woman (not sure who) who showed up twice trying to impose on us some wine that was clearly bad. But otherwise they went out of their way to make us happy. There was an amazing lightning show that night. Well worth a visit but I think you need to research carefully what to order.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and wow, it completely exceeded my expectations. I’ve had my fair share of pricey Italian spots, so honestly, I came in thinking the food would be just okay, and the view and atmosphere would make up for it. I was so wrong. The food was absolutely incredible, super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You have to try the squash carpaccio, it was unlike anything I’ve ever had: light, refreshing, and full of layered flavors. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate. It really does live up to the hype. Tip: Make sure to book a reservation at least two weeks in advance, this place fills up fast!

Contessa was one of the best choices I’ve ever made for spending a rainy, foggy night celebrating my husband’s birthday! We loved the view, and the interior atmosphere was amazing. Reserve in advance! All the food we ordered was delicious, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The portions were just right.

Tried Contessa Boston rooftop and it was such a lovely experience. The vibe in the evening is cozy and chic, definitely makes the atmosphere enjoyable. The food was delicious and well-prepared. It was my first time trying lobster – super fresh and tasty. I also had the salmon, which was grilled perfectly. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it with the pesto sauce, as I felt the pesto overpowered the salmon’s flavor. Maybe a different sauce would pair better, especially since we also ordered a salad that came with pesto, so it felt a bit repetitive. Overall, though, it was a great experience – I’d recommend it for both the food and the beautiful rooftop setting.

I had an incredible experience at Contessa in Boston! The views are absolutely breathtaking, making it the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. Now, let’s talk about the food! The Panettone French Toast was a delightful twist on a classic, bursting with flavor and perfectly executed. And the Carbonara Scramble? Simply fantastic! It was rich, creamy, and so satisfying. Overall, Contessa is a must-visit for anyone looking for great food and an unforgettable atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!

We came here for our first night in Boston. Expectations were high. Service was amazing, nothing to complain about. Food was also good, specially the squash carpaccio. I had the seared scallops which were ok but a bit greasy. The Nutella cake was ok. What was really uncomfortable was the loud noice in the room. We couldn’t speak to each other…we finished eating in 1h and had to leave (the bill was also brought to us before we ordered it).
A — Google review
Many visits to Boston always included dinner at Contessa. Our recent experience will be our last … when we arrived we were seated and drink orders were taken. No sooner did drinks arrive server asked for our dinner selections. It wasn’t like the kitchen was closing - we asked for some time to enjoy a cocktail and we would look at the menu. Within 10 minutes we placed our order and asked for the courses not to be rushed. We also made a wine selection. Our first course came quickly…about halfway thru our cocktails… wine hadn’t been poured. The roasted octopus was ok but overcooked and served with some roasted pepper strips that were probably from a jar. We again reminded server not to rush. It seems that as soon as we set down our forks from the first course our plates were whisked away. The wine selection was nice and a few minutes later the Spicy Lobster capellini was served. The pasta was cooked properly but the richness of the tomato cream sauce was too much with the lobster - which by the way was sparse. About the time we started the 2nd course a group of workers came into the area we were seated with dollies and other equipment and started moving tables and chairs around from another section that was reserved for an earlier private event. This disruption was annoying and could have been completed after the restaurant closed. It went on for 10 minutes or longer. When our entree arrived (the veal Milanese) it was burnt and had absorbed too much butter/oil). It was anything but lightly breaded and pan fried as we had enjoyed on previous visits. Then wine steward disappeared and our server poured. We asked him why the workers had to move furniture during business hours and the manager overheard us and told us about the private event and the furniture had to be placed back where it belonged. When we asked again why was it necessary when diners were in the area he never gave us a complete answer, nor did he apologize for the inconvenience. Then he disappeared. As well as our server. We didn’t finished the veal and passed on dessert. We were presented with a bill but not before we had to retrieve the wine from its chiller and pour for ourselves. Contessa has become complacent and sloppy. We don’t recommend as Boston has so many new and exciting restaurants that we enjoyed on our visit.

Chinese restaurant
Dumpling Cafe is a bustling late-night spot in Chinatown, known for its extensive menu featuring Taiwanese and Sichuan specialties, particularly their renowned soup dumplings. The XLB (xiao long bao) here are praised for their thin yet elastic skin that holds a juicy pork meatball and hot broth, best enjoyed with a black vinegar-ginger dipping sauce.
This was my second time here and it’s the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. All of the food was good and well seasoned. I’ve never had crispy general Taos chicken it’s usually soggy everywhere I go but these were so good. Soup dumplings are unreal and our waitress was a sweetheart. I wish I didn’t live so far
Samantha L — Google review
Do yourself a big favour! Don’t enter this place if you like good food! I’ve never had such terrible Chinese food my whole life! The seafood fried rice was tasteless, and I found three little chewy shrimp and some cheap frozen calamari. The main course pork should have been called “main course, no meat, lots of fat only!” Service was like the food, terrible and the prices outrageous for the garbage food! I came to this place because I was hungry, and all the other places were packed. But I truly don’t understand why these terrible, so-called restaurants, with crappy food and service, always seem to survive! I wish I could give 0 stars because they don’t deserve more than that! And really, I’m not here to put restaurants to the ground, and if you read my other posts, it’s almost all 5-star ratings and great reviews. This dirty and terrible place should be avoided at all costs unless you want to torture yourself!

It is a Taiwan restaurant with good name in Chinese 南北和 which means unity of the south and the north literally. Located in a great location by the corner of HI Boston Hostel. I ordered Braised Beef Brisket Noodles Soup w. Spinach, Fried Stinky Tofu with Pickles and Steamed Taiwan Style Meatball w. Gravy. The best is the meatball. Recommended.
April Q — Google review
Wandered in here late night not sure what to expect. The ordering process was certainly different. Servers were a little chaotic but it seems to work for them. Seems like a get in, get out kind of spot which in Chinatown isn’t at all unusual. Tried the Mapo Tofu and I was kind of blown away by how good it is. Didn’t expect the food to hit quite like that here. But it’s one of the better versions I have had in a while. Definitely need to go back to test the consistency and see what’s up with the tipping issue so many recent reviews keep mentioning.

I tried sea food dumplings. It was tasty but too dry for a dumpling I would say. It might be my personal preference that I like juicy dumplings more than dry ones. Prices are reasonable. Service is quick and friendly but in some moments they are little bit control freaks.

TD Garden is a modern and comfortable arena located at 100 Legends Way in Boston, MA. It serves as the home for both the Celtics and Bruins, offering visitors the opportunity to catch basketball or hockey games right in the heart of the city. In addition to sports events, TD Garden hosts large-scale concerts and ice shows, making it a versatile entertainment venue. The arena has welcomed legendary performers like Fleetwood Mac and contemporary artists like Ariana Grande.
An unforgettable experience at TD Garden! We took the behind-the-scenes tour of TD Garden, and it was absolutely incredible! From walking through the same tunnels used by the Celtics and Bruins to seeing the championship banners up close, the tour was packed with history and iconic moments. One of the highlights was standing beneath the legendary Celtics banners—decades of basketball greatness hanging right above us. We also got a peek at locker rooms, media areas, and even courtside views. Larry Bird’s presence is felt everywhere—from lifelike statues to memorabilia and even some fun artwork. The old Boston Garden seats were a nostalgic touch, and getting that close to an actual NBA hoop was surreal! If you’re a sports fan—or even just a fan of Boston history—this tour is a must. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the Celtics, the Bruins, and the magic that happens inside TD Garden. Highly recommend!

I had tickets to see Linkin Park. It was a VIP package, so there was a separate line for entry. People were on hand to direct guests, depending on the type of ticket. The venue was super clean. There was a lot of security on hand. It isn't as large as say Madison Square Garden in NYC, but TD is a nice sized arena that has a great set up and sound system. I would definitely go again!
Jeanine R — Google review
The Garden is an awesome venue for concerts and sports! My last stop there was to see the Celtics last season and as always a great time. Had further up seats though the people you go with, the crowd around you, concessions, basically from start to finish a grand time. If you are in Boston and looking for something to do check out our famed TD Garden or what most locals will call it forever "The Garden!" Parking like for any arena is going to be expensive and congested. Plan ahead for that or better yet take public transport.
Mason W — Google review
TD Garden is well maintained, clean and just an all around amazing experience. For me, I've been to countless Bruins games and a couple concerts and each time its been a great environment, so much fun and keeps you wanting to come back time and time again. The facility itself is always clean, from the floors, to seating areas and bathrooms. The variety of food options are vast, and there's always something for everyone. From your typical stadium type food to even some cool upscale feeling food. I will say, the pricing is a little on the high side for food amd beverage services but this is the norm in any stadium these days, so not really a negative there just the norm. The premium level (Only speaking Bruins Games here) is an experience in itself. Access to the 1928 club, a full bar and restaurant on the premium level was awesome. Being able to watch the NESN broadcast live is a unique experience, and the history surrounding the level keeps your walks emtertaining. This level of seating truly feels premium. Fan engagement from the TD Garden is also very fun, and keeps the whole crowd involved. The staff (seating and food and beverage) are so helpful and kind to anyone who is attending an event and the seating staff will help you find your seat. Parking access is good, pricey but good. Keep in mind the height of your vehicle, larger vehicles should stay away from the parking garage due to height restrictions and the spots are a little on the small side. If you're in town and looking for something to do check out whats going on at the TD Garden, you'll have an absolute blast with whichever event you attend.
Jason J — Google review
One of the best hockey arena’s I’ve been in. The seats are very comfortable, arriving and leaving the venue was quick, easy and safe. The atmosphere was superb. Plenty of food and drinks around. The only things I would change is to make the restrooms more accessible! The lines were too long. Ticketmaster was very convenient.

Great time at the TD Garden on Sunday for the pre-season game between the Celtics & Cavs. Celtics put on a clinic on how to drain 3 point shots. Well worth the wait. I cannot wait to see the movie with Marky Mark that was being filmed during halftime. Great night and a heck of a way to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday.

Love this place. Always have had a great time. I mean how could you not it's Boston sports. And in true Boston sports fashion the Bruins won in overtime with seconds left. Got chicken and fries at the concession stand and it was great. Card only and if you don't have one they will point in the right direction to get one. Even that was super convenient because you put 20$ in you get 20$ on the card. I was sure I was going to have to pay for not having a card. The staff was super understanding and always is. Last time I was getting stressed and they were calm and helpful. Even gave my daughter an ice cream even though the inconvenience was me and my tech problems. Even the ushers were super friendly and I'm pretty sure they are fans too. Seriously have never had a bad time at this facility. Its like everyone who is there really wants to be there from security to the staff. As a father I feel like this is always a kid friendly environment.

Bunker Hill Monument, a 221-foot granite obelisk, stands as a tribute to the Battle of Bunker Hill. Visitors can climb its 294 steps for panoramic views of the Boston skyline, Charlestown, Zakim Bridge, and Boston Harbor. The monument is part of the city's famous Freedom Trail and offers glimpses of other landmarks like the Old North Church and U.S.S. Constitution.
Beautiful monument to the historic event. Plus s great workout climbing the 294 steps to the top for the breathtaking view ( if the steps did not already take all your breath away!) One thing: they should consider banning backpacks on the narrow winding stairs, it's too tight

Very nice experience. Be prepared to conquer the 294 steps. Once you do, there are four nice views of the city. Outside the monument, there are interpretive markers explaining at least six events during the battle. Service dogs are allowed to climb the monument, and pets are not. My boy had little if any problems. I also recommend the museum directly across the street.

Cool activity to spend a little while doing. The stairs were more than I bargained for, lol! The staff was friendly, and there was no wait on the midweek day I went. The top does get crowded quickly.

The monument it open to the public and you can climb the 294 steps at only the cost of your knees. It's a cool view of Boston and a great place to learn about American revolutionary history. Lovely spot on the Boston freedom trail.

Probably our favorite site along the Freedom Trail. You are able to climb up the monument, 294 steps, and see some great views from the top. We also listened to a short presentation about a few of the individuals involved at Bunker Hill and saw their musket be shot. Quite an ordeal of instructions in order to shoot. Don’t let the fact that this is a ways away from all the other sites, definitely a must see.

What a great ending to the Freedom Trail walk! Our legs were tired but we still climbed the stairs to the top to enjoy the view. The rangers were informative and helpful. We even had the chance to watch men in revolutionary costumes load and “shoot” revolutionary style guns. My boys loved it!

Good leg workout and memorable experience climbing the 294 steps. Nice views from the top. It's small at the top so you can't stay for long on a busy day. Free to enter and don't forget to take your sticker at the end.

294 steps of free climbing. They have them numbered here and there so you know where you are going up. I've climbed light houses before... They were no where near this many steps. I left a picture of the view from the top and the stairs... You see a lot of the narrow stairs... Historical location... So have to rate... But I'm not a super history buff but can appreciate it.

The Museum of Science, located in Boston's West End, is a renowned institution featuring interactive exhibits, an IMAX/3-D film theater, and a planetarium. With over 700 exhibits and home to an accredited zoo with over 100 animals, the museum offers educational experiences for children from third grade and up.
The Tesla coils light show was really fun and informative and they have showings throughout the day. It "sparked" a new interest in science for me. Warning: turn your volume down before you watch the Tesla coil videos I attached. 😂 Amazing views of the Charles River. I liked looking at the AI dog. A good portion of the museum is very kid-focused but the paintings and animal/natural history sculptures are fun for all ages. I also liked some information about blood pressure as well as how many calories I need to walk a mile. It was a fun visit!

Fabulous time for families! Purchase tickets in advance, planetarium is a must! This is a classic spot that makes for a quintessential childhood summer day, the duck boats are a fun addition. I recommend for 8+ or the duck boat tour aspect might not be the best (6 year old was bored). I am so glad they have maintained a great museum that feels nostalgic and growing with the times.

The Boston Museum of Science is an incredible experience—everything is so cool, inspiring, and thought-provoking. It really pushes you to want to learn more, no matter your age. There’s so much to see and do that my girlfriend and I had to speed-run it since we arrived around 2 PM and they closed at 5. Even then, it was well worth it. The museum was undergoing some renovations during our visit, but it didn’t take away from how amazing the exhibits were. I’d absolutely come back to explore more. Only minor thing to keep in mind: there are a lot of kids running around (as expected in a science museum), so depending on the time and day, it can be a bit chaotic. It’d be awesome if they stayed open later for a more adult-oriented experience, but that’s just a wish—not a complaint. Overall, it’s an amazing place and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it.

A truly amazing museum that brings all branches of science to life! It offers a hands on, interactive experience for visitors of all ages. I hadn't been to the museum in 40 years. It was so great living childhood memories of my favorite place as a child. The lightning show still is my favorite thing there. The new exhibits were great to see. I am definitely going back once the renovation is completed.

Great experience for a family with a toddler. Lots of fun things to look at and manipulate. The workers at the live demonstration and showing off skulls in the river area were great with a little kid - but there's a ton of stuff at the adult level too. Enjoyed it twice in the last year with more we haven't even seen! I would say that the cafeteria is decently priced compared to other local museums/attractions. Delicious falafel burger!

Such a wonderful place! They have a great celebration of books, and the others sections are so fun and so cute! I can see the owner really put thoughts in designing the store.

This place is the best. I lived in Boston for many years and I loved having this amazing bookstore so close. I just visited Boston again after being a way for a few years and was thrilled to see the Booksmith is just as good as ever. They have an amazingly curated collection. Their shelf of their top 100 is really fun to check out and always has great recommendations. I wish we lived closer so we could visit the Booksmith more often.

Boston’s best book store isn’t even in Boston. It’s in Brookline. Not only is it a great new and used book store but it is a great experience. You can spend so much time here just exploring all the charm and events it has.

This place is really cute! The store is very organized, and I was so tempted to buy some books, but I didn't since I was a bit short on time. I might come back here someday, though!
Sonali C — Google review
Even though it looks really nice, I found this place extremely overrated. The book selection is underwhelming, especially the history and sci-fi sections were low in quality. Same with the used book section, which was the main reason of my visit. Also please don't sort the history section A-Z

Creperie
Paris Creperie, located in Boston Seaport, offers a taste of Paris with its sweet and savory French crepes. The bistro also serves smoothies, caffeinated drinks, and a stacked cocktail menu. Visitors can enjoy petite options for the crepes and try different flavors without feeling overwhelmed by sweetness. The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot for a date night or post-dinner dessert.
Cute little cafe on Harvard. A good selection of both sweet and savory crepes. I had storming the basil (savory) which was delicious. And a Nutella latte, because I could not resist ... also good. The decor is old black and white photos and posters which enhance feeling of France; the music vibes like 60s and 70s French music. I was here just after they opened on a Monday and there was plenty of seating. A few folks got things to go, all orders were dealt with quickly. Worth it for the crepes, the whimsy in some titles of menu items. This also seemed like a place the neighborhood liked (I was only visiting).

I love a good crepe, so I was excited to try this place. It's cool that they have both petite sizes and regular sizes. We were able to try two petites, $6 each. My favorite crepe is Nutella with strawberry and bananas (extra ~$1.50 for the fruits), and it didn't disappoint! It was pretty packed with both fruits and Nutella. I'd get it again. We also got the Berry Antoinette, which had a lemon poppyseed crepe that was kind of dry and cold (maybe not freshly made?) but had good sauces and berries. Overall very solid option and I'd come back for the Nutella and fruit crepe!

Cute little, casual place. Has both sweet and savory options. Tried the Mango Smoothie and berry crepe. Both were refreshing and not too sweet. A nice place to catch up and chit chat over some food and drink. It's a quite small place though. Bathroom was pretty well-maintained. Can be dark inside, even on a very bright day, and there is no patio.

A must go place if you are in Coolidge corner area! Food, ambience and service - all 5 stars! My young son had this to say ☺️ - Chocolate crepe was nice and chewy with ample amount of Nutella. Everything tasted amazing, the hot chocolate was fancy!!! The fruits on side (strawberries and bananas) were off putting! The rose decoration was beautiful.
Vaishali K — Google review
The place was nice and clean, but the crepes were disappointing. They had way too much jelly and Nutella, making them extremely sweet and overwhelming to eat. On top of that, I found a banana stem in the crepe, which clearly had not been removed a detail that should not be overlooked in food prep. Unfortunately, I won’t be ordering them again.
Sony V — Google review
Got strawberry matcha and a veganized “Ruth Bader” sweet crepe. The matcha was great but the crepe was a letdown- just a sweet crepe with cinnamon dusted on top. The description mentioned cinnamon butter but I guess it was not vegan so instead of substituting with something, they just serve it with cinnamon on top (and some vanilla syrup around the brim- barely a glaze). Maybe the other sweet crepes will be better!
Anshuman S — Google review
Love everything about this cafe: authentic Parisian furnishings and art, incredibly kind and attentive staff, and the most artfully prepared and flavorful menu. They went out of their way to care for us, and when I forgot to order gluten free they prepared it anew and wouldn’t charge me; this is outstanding and heartwarming in today’s world. They have my gratitude and devotion. Cannot recommend them highly enough.,

As a French, I know what a good crêpe is, and, after 8 years in coolidge corner eating at Paris crêperie regularly, I can really talk about this place! Paris crêperie has been consistently fresh and good, with original mixes and great flavors, always fresh products, and a good vibe with cool waiters and a good decoration. We love it!

Japanese restaurant
FuGaKyu Japanese Cuisine, with locations in Brookline and Sudbury, offers a chic and airy space where patrons can enjoy elevated sushi with a creative twist. The restaurant is known for its perfectly prepared dishes, including fun variations of rolls made with super fresh fish. Guests can choose to dine in private booths, tatami rooms, regular tables, or at the sushi bar.
The decoration is very nice and cool. It gives a light and cozy atmosphere. The menu has a lot of different dishes, took us awhile to decide. The price can be a bit steep compared to other places. But the food is worth it. The duck was so juicy and soft, we were surprised. The spicy girl maki roll was top notch, one of the best salmon roll we had. Even the fried oyster maki, doesn’t look very appealing but still very tasty.

Went with the wife for our wedding anniversary. I was enthralled by the atmosphere right when we entered. The uniform for the wait staff were kimonos and each booth/table was sectioned off in a traditional Japanese style. This seating arrangement and extremely calm atmosphere took me for a plesasnt surprise as I am used to bustling american restaurants that often times put you in the center of a room with not much thought as to how loud the room is or how close you are to other guests. Seeing how it was our anniversary, appetizers were necessary. We ordered seaweed salad and some vegetable tempura as we kept admiring the restaurant. As they arrived, my wife ordered a snow crab roll, spicy salmon roll and ikura/salmon roe while I ordered my go to, chicken katsu. I'm no expert on sushi pricing and what's fair, but I do think the apps and my katsu were pricey. The food was good if not great, but I think you are paying for the area you're in and, as I mentioned earlier, the atmosphere. My wife enjoyed her meal as well but agreed that it is a tad bit expensive. Again, I think the atmosphere was amazing and refreshing for someone like me, service was great too, however the price is a bit of knock on this place in my opinion. Still, a great spot for most ocassions as we were on an anniversay date, but there was a happy family with young kids a few tables away from us enjoying their meal.

We had been doing takeout since the pandemic started and only dined here in person recently and discovered quite a few updates to their menu as well as the interior. We ordered mostly cooked food and they all tasted pretty good. The portions were all quite large, reflected in the higher prices. The pork katsu came with two pork chops. I think the portions were too large. We had quite a bit of leftovers to take home. I do appreciate that the food quality is quite decent. The only thing that was disappointing was the Chirashi. The dish had mostly rice with the typical salmon, tuna, egg, eel, shrimp. The mackerel didn't taste fresh. The other pieces had hardly any flavor at all. I think I'll stick with the cooked food, which they do pretty well. The wait staff was efficient and attentive. Very much appreciated the service. There are more private tables now with sliding doors which is a nice update.
Amber C — Google review
This place is really great, with really good environment. We weren't sure what would be good orders based on what's worth it and authentic, so we ordered a few things like the tofu appetizer, sushi combo, chicken katsu, etc. The prices are high, it's more about the experience here I feel with the closed booths and all, the food I would say was rather normal, nothing extraordinary. The maki-sushi was delicious, and fresh! We didn't enjoy the katsu as much since it felt average, not worth the price we paid for it. The tofu was also good, however small portion size. Overall, I would say it's a good place to dine in and enjoy the traditional Japanese style seating and customer service. If you're going for just the food then there are other good restaurants that offer similar quality for less pricing.
Vidhi P — Google review
We had the best server! Very attentive and humorous too(he understood my jokes)! Food was amazing per usual. The seating i prefer is the private booths with sliding doors. It feels like you are in japan.

Came here after a long, exhausting study day and felt like the vibe was a bit off - maybe just my own tired energy influencing things. The space is beautifully designed, with private seating and a calm atmosphere. Prices are on the higher side, and the miso soup looked different from the menu photo. Still, the lunch was tasty, and I’m grateful the place was open.

Fugakyu is truly one of the most unique Japanese restaurants in Boston. What makes it special is the way it offers both conventional Japanese favorites and more unconventional, creative dishes—you can always find something exciting on the menu no matter what you’re in the mood for. I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, and it has remained one of my absolute favorite Japanese spots. The consistency is remarkable—the quality is always fresh, the flavors are authentic, and the presentation is elegant without being overdone. The atmosphere has a charm of its own, combining traditional Japanese elements with a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes every visit memorable. Whether it’s sushi, sashimi, or one of their inventive specialty dishes, Fugakyu continues to deliver at the highest level. If you want a Japanese dining experience that combines reliability with creativity, Fugakyu is the place to go. After so many years, it still feels as special as the very first visit.

I’ve never been so impressed with a late-night sushi spot ever in my life. We were just going to get some to-go, but when we sat down in the waiting area, we were quite literally amazed at the ambiance. There’s a ton of different tiny things this place does to take your breath away from an atmosphere perspective. It does everything to immerse you and make you feel like you’re literally in someone’s warm, massive home. It may seem like too much at first, but every piece of decoration seems intentional and perfect for the occasion. The maki is great, and fairly priced, given the vibe. We got gyoza that was delicious, and fantastic service. Would absolutely go again the next time we’re in Boston.

Pizza restaurant
Regina Pizzeria is a local chain that has been around since 1926, offering thin-crust, brick-oven pizzas in a simple setting. The original location on Thatcher Street is filled with history and character, where even former President Calvin Coolidge may have dined. The pizza is highly praised for its house-made sausage, sauce blended with cheese, and perfectly charred crust from the old oven.
Excellent pizza and a really cool retro vibe inside the shop. You can feel the history of the place inside and it’s always buzzing and busy there. Friendly Italian staff and the pizza is very good. The crust is a bit on the thicker side almost like a bread, not thin, but good quality and very fair price. They also accept credit card which is good.

To say this place is bustling is an understatement. We were there when Little Italy was celebrating the something or other of St. Joseph and the entire area was cordoned off for the weekend long event. The streets were filled with vendors and activities. It looked like a great time. I don't know if this was the reason for super long line at Regina, but nonetheless, there was one. The pizza was pretty good for an east coast pie. Can't hold a candle to Chicago pizza, tavern style, or deep dish, but it was tasty. Even though the place was nuts, our server was fantastic. Their assembly line of cranking out pizzas was pretty impressive. We sat right next to the kitchen. The walls are covered with (gotta be) thousands of police uniform shoulder patches from all over the country. I kid you not, the first one that caught my eye across the room turned out to be from the Lake County Sheriff in Illinois, right where I live. What are the chances?
Larry B — Google review
This is the place for pizza, a little off the path from the freedom trail but worth the extra walk. Was busy when we went but only waited about 10mins. The service was fast and the pizza was amazing. The pictures of famous people on the wall is fun to look at while you wait for your pie, I will definitely be back when I can. Best pizza in Little Italy.
Benjamin I — Google review
Coming from NYC, more particularly Queens, I had low expectations for this Boston pizzeria. Soon as I walked in I could smell the delicious pizza. I ordered a large cheese...pizza arrived to the table straight out of the oven piping hot. The sauce I thought amazing but the crust was a little to thick for me. I personal don't think Reginas is the best in Boston.
Hagz — Google review
Yes. Regina is a very very well known and reviewed pizza joint. The pizza was simply delicious. Margherita and a Rosemary Ham Bianco. The crust was chewy charred and just damn good. Not a "traditional" Margherita by appearance but the fresh basil was so refreshing and bright! Simple red sauce that announced my bite with a juicy yumminess. Now let's talk Bianco. Delicious. Sweet, ham, spinach and that beautiful basil! Fantastic service late in the service! Please, treat yourself to pizza you will remember.
Howard F — Google review
Lively atmosphere, friendly service, delicious pizza loaded with flavor and not oily at all. The sauce is amazing. This is a must try if you are in the area. Com early, it gets crowded fast. Make sure to try the seasoned oil on the table to dip the pizza crust. So flavorful!
Patti T — Google review
I didn’t love Regina on my first try—but after doing the “top 3” tour, I’m eating my words: Regina is Boston’s best. The brick-oven crust has perfect leopard char with a chewy center, the sauce is bright and garlicky, and the cheese/oil balance is spot on. I went classic (cheese with pepperoni) and it was slam-dunk good, straight from the oven. Old-school North End vibe—expect a wait, totally worth it.
Vineeth B — Google review
What can I say, it was a perfect pepperoni pizza! And I was already full from the deli down the street. I still ate the entire pie somehow and each slice got increasingly better. We all have our opinions on pizza, I get it, but in all honesty, this was simply the very best thing I had for the entire vacation in Boston. The staff was equally as impressive as they were attentive and punctual the entire time without making you feel bombarded. I will be back one day with my family next time, this establishment deserves the patronage.

Sapporo Ramen & Sushi @Canal Side Food Hall

Ramen restaurant
Sapporo Ramen is a popular Japanese-style noodle spot located in Porter Square, offering a cozy and no-frills dining experience. The restaurant has two locations, one at H Mart in Central Square and the other at The Sears Building in Porter Square. Their signature dishes include the spicy miso ramen and hot and sour ramen, both of which are known for their flavorful broth. Sapporo's 10-hour chicken broth is particularly noteworthy for its rich flavor profile.
My new go-to spot for casual Japanese takeout bowls. Since Sapporo Ramen relocated from its Porter Square location to this new food hall, I’ve stopped by a couple of times for a quick meal. Maybe it’s my bias toward Japanese food, but among the options here, Sapporo stands out as the most solid choice. Among the rice bowls, the Curry Pork Katsu is my favorite. Back in their Porter Square days, the pork katsu was underwhelming—often dry and over-cooked. But here, it’s been given a much-needed upgrade: crispier and juicier. A close second is their Beef Gyudon. The beef is not only well-seasoned but also has just the right amount of fat to keep each bite rich and satisfying. Unfortunately, their ramen remained unchanged from what I remembered at Porter Square. While the noodles were perfectly cooked, the broth still lacked the depth and richness. I did, however, find the Spicy Miso ramen to have a bit more flavor complexity than the house ramen. Much like their HMart location, this spot also offered pre-packaged sushi, and for the price, it was a solid option. The best time to grab one was around noon, as they’re usually made fresh in the morning—by dinner, the quality can be hit or miss. The prices are only slightly higher than what you’d find in grocery stores, so it was a reasonably priced choice for a quick sushi fix. Favorites: Pork Katsu Curry, Beef Gyudon Solid: Sushi packs (if made fresh), Spicy Miso Ramen, Chicken Katsu Curry Decent: House Ramen, Gyoza, Chicken Karaage bowl Poor: Takoyaki
Jea K — Google review
I haven’t been to CSG for a while and love how they have revamped the food court space into a nice and comfortable food hall. I instantly gravitated towards Sapporo Ramen and we ordered some ramen, katsu curry, sushi, and poke bowl. We really enjoyed the miso ramen because the broth was just so rich! The katsu curry was also super flavorful. The service was great and food delicious, you’d like them.
Sammi C — Google review
Mannnn that was bad. The pork dumplings were not good at all. I gave most of them to my dog. He’ll eat anything. The ramen soup was worse than the dumplings. No flavor, actually bad flavor. You know how much this awful meal cost including a soda, $40+ 🤯 The restaurant is in the food court at the end of the shopping center along with other eateries. The directions to get there could have been better. I don’t recommend this place at all. Nice people but awful food. 🤢
Brayden A — Google review
I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen, but it was really disappointing. The broth was bland with no trace of miso flavor, and the pork slices were cut far too thick. I’ve had ramen at many places, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience so far.
Bhawana A — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at Sapporo Ramen. The woman taking orders was incredibly rude, making the interaction so uncomfortable that I almost left without ordering. Despite this, I decided to give it a chance and ordered the teriyaki tofu bowl. When I asked what vegetables were included, I was told “cabbage,” but the bowl came with lettuce and a slice of tomato—completely unexpected and not a good pairing in my opinion. For $17, the portion size was small, and the bowl felt overpriced for what I received. When I requested spice, I was told I’d need to pay an additional $2 for a tiny packet of hot sauce, though thankfully one of the friendly male staff members gave it to me without charge. The men working there had excellent customer service, which was a stark contrast to the woman at the counter. As for the food, the teriyaki sauce on the tofu was decent, but the tofu lacked texture, and the lettuce was the only crunchy element—which didn’t work well with the dish. Adding some thoughtful, textured components would really improve the experience. Overall, while the staff (aside from the woman at the counter) was kind and accommodating, the poor service, underwhelming dish, and high price point made this a disappointing visit. I wouldn’t recommend the tofu bowl and would hesitate to return unless there were significant improvements.

I stopped by here for lunch since I was staying nearby and it was better than expected for mall food court. I got the beef gyudon bowl and the pork dumplings. The flavors were exactly what I wanted for the meal. The beef was cooked well and soft. The pork dumplings were hot and crispy and the dipping sauce had good flavor. Quick and efficient service. I really enjoyed my meal.

I had my first visit here the other day and really enjoyed it. There’s such a wide variety of plant life and fauna that I don’t usually see in the city. I only toured a small portion of the grounds but was impressed with the design and welcoming environment. The bonsai tree exhibit was remarkable. I’m looking forward to visiting again, especially in the fall.

Absolute gem of Boston. One of the northeast's most impressive and comprehensive collection of landscape plants in my opinion. There are clean grounds, labelled plants, bathrooms, and plenty of sitting area. The ground are quite large and are jam packed with a slew of unique and spectacular plants. It is hard to put into works how beautiful and horticulturally significant this site is, so do yourself a favor and go check it out! Also, do check out the bonsai collection. There are a few impressive and very old trees.

I love taking a walk and looking at trees - if you enjoy the same thing, it is a wonderful place for you! Tons of trees from all over the world - be them happy or not at the moment - nevertheless making it a beautiful collection in the nature. Park
Brookline Reservoir Park is a 32-acre recreational area featuring a walking/jogging track surrounding a 21-acre reservoir. Built in 1848 to supply water to Boston, the reservoir offers beautiful views and a serene atmosphere for a calm one-mile walk or jog. The park boasts landscaped greenery with willows, cherry trees, benches, and adorable ducks enjoying the water. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings while taking in diverse trees and shrubs around the pond.
I been coming here for years. This is a beautiful walking area. You can also bring your dog 🐶 if it’s leashed. Different ways to enter and they have street parking 🅿️. They now have a bathroom opened. Not sure if it’s opened year round. They also have a water fountain for you & your dog . 🙏🏼

Brookline Reservoir Park is a beautiful and peaceful spot, perfect for walking, jogging, or a short run. The loop around the pond is just under 1 mile (about 1.6 km), flat, and easy to navigate. Parking is generally easy, and the park is dog-friendly, with a clean environment, restrooms, and several benches to relax and enjoy the scenery. The landscape is stunning during the day, and at night it feels calm and serene, with a lovely view of the moon—though the low lighting can feel a bit eerie if you’re alone. Whether you’re here for exercise, fresh air, or quiet time with friends or family, it’s a great spot to visit year-round.

It’s a beautiful, divine spot to enjoy a calm and peaceful one-mile walk or jog. There’s adorable ducks enjoying the water and some truly wonderful views in a serene atmosphere. There were, however, far too many inconsiderate jerks walking the wrong way and not even wearing masks altogether, ignoring safety measures and endangering everyone else. But, known as Baby Bear Lake by some of the other wonderful locals, this wonderful spot cannot be ruined by the minority of selfish people.

Larz Anderson Park, located in Brookline, Massachusetts, is a 64-acre landscaped park offering picturesque pathways, ponds, gardens, and an auto museum. Situated at the south end of the Emerald Necklace near Jamaica Pond, it provides stunning views of the Boston skyline. A sprawling former estate turned into a beautiful public park. Wonderful outdoor skating rink, sledding hill, dogs are allowed off leash for long hours with acres and acres to run. Amazing views of Boston.

A gorgeous space - lovely for a picnic, park day, or just a walk with the pup. Gorgeous views of the city and the most peaceful, serene atmosphere.

We went to a party at this park in the shelter area and it was such a great spot! Super clean, lots of barbeques and picnic tables, and the playground was right nearby. There’s also a big open space with an awesome view—perfect place for a party.

Decent park with a lot to see. There are also special events, parking spaces, and potential views of the city. Good wedding venue buy consider mosquitoes in the shaded areas. Places to sit or pop your own chair or blanket... Decent all around

Such a fascinating museum with cars I’ve never experienced before. Such an eclectic mix of classic autos in the museum. We visited during the Japanese car revolution exhibit upstairs. A real pleasant surprise to see what the Japanese would deem fairly pedestrian cars, but very exciting to see a Suzuki Jimny and a Honda Beat in person.

The park is not too shabby! It has play areas for both dogs and kids, space to play sports (you may have to reserve these) along with enclosed picnic tables you can reserve for gatherings. The walking paths are beautiful and make for a relaxing stroll.

Larz Anderson Park is such a gem! My kids absolutely love it here. The wide open space and play areas keep them entertained, while I get to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful weather. The BBQ spots are an added bonus, perfect for family cookouts and get togethers. The atmosphere always feels welcoming and relaxed. It’s quickly become one of our go-to weekend spots.

Larz Anderson Auto Museum is a car museum in Brookline, MA that features 150 antique vehicles from America's earliest days. The museum also has beautiful grounds with views of the Boston skyline and an ice skating rink open in the winter.
A really fun hidden gem in Jamaica Plane. Definitely worth checking out on a sunny day and then exploring the surrounding park. Also check out their 2025 Lawn Event schedule, it's the closest thing Boston has to Cars and Coffee ☕🚘

Beautiful mansion to keep this cars in. The property is well maintained and at the time of my visit there was an active car show happening which was a bonus! It is highly recommended to come visit this museum if you have not been already.

Are you a car guy or gal in the Greater Boston area? Well then, this is the place for you! Enthusiasts and novices alike will appreciate this unique space. Events galore (watch out for free ones like Cars & Coffee) and the grounds alone are just serene and beautiful to behold (Larz Anderson Park).

Love this place. It's in a massive carriage house, designed to look like a French chateau. Besides having a great car collection the architecture is a delight. The grounds cover a huge grassy hill with views for miles. During warmer months there are "lawn events" where dozens to hundreds of interesting vehicles are on display. I went to a large event with many rare and unusual vehicles.

The museum is just fine, it has some good exhibitions from tine to time but in general they are small. On the other hand, the events they organize are good but with practically no information at all about it. The "Tutto Italiano" was surprisingly good, I recommend it

Chilacates

Mexican restaurant
Chilacates is a popular eatery originating in Jamaica Plain, with several locations across Boston. The menu features inventive tacos and burritos made with local ingredients, all priced affordably. Customers rave about the delicious quesadillas and the friendly service. While some mention a persistent smell at one location, the overall consensus is that Chilacates offers top-notch Mexican cuisine and excellent staff.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Burrito Engineering Here Deserves a Nobel Prize I don’t know who’s wrapping burritos at this place, but I hope they’re being paid at least double and have a statue in their honor out back. This was hands down the best-constructed burrito I’ve ever had in my life—and I’ve eaten enough burritos to be on some sort of government watchlist. You know how most burritos fall into two camps? Either they’re stuffed to the point of bursting or they’re so loose and floppy you need a team of engineers and a prayer to keep them intact. Not here. This burrito was tightly wrapped with surgical precision—like it was assembled by a former NASA technician who found their true calling in burrito craftsmanship. No leaks. No blowouts. No sad fork-scooping at the end. Just pure, structural perfection from first bite to last. I didn’t even need a second napkin. It held together better than most of my life choices. Oh, and it tasted amazing too. But honestly, the real star was the wrap job. I’d eat it again just to admire the architecture. 10/10 would recommend.

Went for dinner with my wife. We are both big fans of lengua (don't knock it until you try it) so my wife had to order the torta lengua. I was craving rice and beans with my main dish so I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They both were ready in mere minutes as the kitchen staff were starting to prepare our food as we were ordering. The lengua was tender and the bread was soft but had the strength to not fall apart after 2 bites. The vegetables were fresh. My chicken enchiladas were pretty good as well. The chicken and corn tortillas were amazing. That whole side of the plate with the cream, chicken, avacado, corn casing were exceptional. However the rice and beans were lazily bland and a bit watery. I ate the whole plate it was just sad that the main was exceptional, yet the side couldn't follow the main's lead. Lastly, I ordered a horchata for my wife as we strolled home. My wife had no complaints, but the drink had a tad too heavy of star anise for my taste. This place is a JP staple that I enjoy, there are just a few things, which I mentioned, that could be fixed to easily make this a 5/5 establishment.

Feeling Terrible – Back Bay is Still Better I ordered birria quesadillas online, thinking I was getting the real thing, but the menu names were so confusing that I ended up with something different. When I went to the store to ask for help, they basically blamed me for ordering the wrong thing and refused to fix it because they “would lose money.” I wasn’t expecting a free meal—just a little customer service. Now, to be fair, the food itself was good, but it still wasn’t worth $20. The meat wasn’t spread out well, and there were way too many globs of cheese. It could have been put together better, but the flavor was solid. Good, but not to die for like Back Bay. I guess I appreciated that they gave me a side of consomé when I drove all the way there, but still—help me out. That said, I still wouldn’t come back. Between the poor customer service and the confusing menu names—seriously, why wouldn’t “birria quesadilla” be the right name instead of “quesobirria”?—it’s not worth it. If you want good food and good service, just go to the Back Bay location instead.

Ordered from UberEats last night and found a piece of staple in my al pastor taco. It was in the meat when I took a bite felt something poke me luckily no injury. Disregarded my tacos after that didn’t feel safe to continue eating and going forward. Reported it to uber but nothing yet. Be careful & check your food. Oh they also forgot the three passion fruit drinks I ordered

I got the Birria tacos with extra cheese but it didn’t look like they added much. Next time I’ll get the cheese on the side and add it myself. Nonetheless very yummy and filling portions

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. This is clearly a take out spot. I ordered Al pastor tacos and elote. The tacos had good pineapple pico de gallo, but the meat was a bit dry and lacked that Al pastor flavor I was hoping for. I also ordered an agua fresca Jamaica flavored which tasted like cherry cough syrup. The atmosphere was casual and clean. The elote was good too!

Favorite mexican spot in boston area. They always get it right. I love the vibe of the place, the lovely service, and the incredible flavors.
Carsyn — Google review
Totally impressed! A friend had recommended this place. I went in late (just a few minutes before closing), but they were super accommodating. The tacos were full of flavor and I'm pretty sure they make their own tortillas, which automatically puts them on the next level. Carlos walked me through the ordering process. He carried himself like either a manager or the owner but in a very unassuming way. You could just tell that he had tremendous pride for the establishment. Which came through in the deliciousness of the finished product. Not only will I be back but I'll be bringing friends. Hands down best Mexican in Boston that I've had yet... and I get around!

The Abbey is a charming eatery and bar that serves pub-style New American dishes and a wide selection of scotches. It's known for its cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for various occasions, from casual drinks after work to family dinners on weekends. The food is highly praised for its quality and reasonable prices, with standout dishes like the Cubano sandwich and Bison bolognese.
I tried their Pan Roasted Faroe Island Salmon on the day that I visited. It was an excellent choice! There is a gluten free menu, and they have a full bar. On street metered parking is available. During the summer they have additional seating outdoors.

First time eating here. I had Wings, Caesar Salad, and White Peach Sangria. I enjoyed it! I was still hungry, but ran out of time to order more. I loved the anchovies on the salad the wing flats were so good. Go on and spice up the in-house wing sauce.

Vibey restaurant and bar not too far from Coolidge Corner. During the warmer months, they have outdoor seating, I think they even keep it open into the fall. A friend and I stopped by for a few drinks and some shareable plates. The space inside is pretty small, so it can get busy, but the service was quick. The menu’s pretty extensive, with full entrées plus a great selection of apps and small plates to share. We ordered a few things to snack on: dumplings (shaped more like fried crab rangoons but with short rib in them), croquettes, and the pretzel. Everything hit the spot for a casual weekday night out. I love spots where you can share small plates, and the croquettes were definitely the highlight, so good we ended up ordering a second round. The short rib dumplings were also tasty. The pretzel, though, wasn’t great. The cheese dip was a bit too thick, and the pretzel itself felt a little dry and stale. Overall, the atmosphere was great, and we left satisfied. Definitely a chill place to go with a few friends or for a casual date.

I’ve had special fall meal - my favorite pumpkin soup & bison marinara (or carbonara). The soup tastes very healthy and sweet, but not too much. The bison pasta was something I’ve never tried before and I would definitely be back! It’s on a spicier side (fyi). I’m a fan of this place for two reasons - it’s located not far from my apartment. Second - I really love stuff there. Everyone is extremely nice & helpful. It’s like a friends house where you can have a good drink & eat very nice food, while also chatting with great people. Would definitely be back. 🙌🏻 Oh, don’t forget to try the shrimp dumplings (shumai) & tomato soup!!! Also truffle fries 🍟

French restaurant
Nestled in the charming Washington Square of Brookline, La Voile is a must-visit for anyone yearning for authentic French cuisine. This elegant eatery offers a delightful array of classic dishes, from mouthwatering appetizers to decadent desserts, all complemented by an impressive selection of wines. Whether you're indulging in their nightly fixed-price menu or savoring seasonal specialties, each meal promises to transport you straight to France. Guests rave about the exceptional service and warm ambiance that make dining here truly memorable.
We were there for dine out Boston so we had the three course menu. The items ate available outside the dine out promotion as well. The duck is amazing and always a favorite and their foie gras is a nice app for any one who like it of just wants to try it out. The desserts were a great end to a nice meal. The seats are a bit close together so you will be able to hear conversations at other tables so I would request a corner table for 2/4.

We had reservations for a Friday night birthday dinner. I stopped by the restaurant to bring in a cake and they gladly accepted it and said they’d bring it out during our dessert time. Appetizers were pretty good, the risotto was rich and creamy and the French onion soup was great. My friend the the roasted duck breast that was asked as medium and came out rare. And the beef shoulder was a little overwhelming with the red wine sauce. After we were serviced dessert menus even though I told them we had a cake. They served us the cake and were not given any utensils. We were then told that there was a $20 cake fee for the restaurant. I asked why I wasn’t told this when I dropped off or even before serving the cake and the hostess ignored me and didn’t say anything. After spending +$300 for an average meal and told there was a cake fee AFTER the cake was served— I am very disappointed. We wanted to try and go to somewhere local and support local businesses, but save your money and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other wonderful restaurants in the area!

Was excited to find this French restaurant and we reserved a table for Thanksgiving day, but turned out to be a disappointing dinner. Very narrow and tiny space, service was great but food was rather unremarkable. All dishes in general were bland and just average. French onion soup $14 burnt, bitter & too sweet Roasted duck breast $33 Whole maine lobster over yellow corn $36 lobster was overcooked and chewy Braised beef shoulder $35 Escargot $14 was average Desserts were great.

Do you want some duck with your salad? We've been to La Voile 4 or 5 times now and really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and friendly waiting staff. We've even invited family there who loved it too. Our last trip though was valentines day, and it had a completely different vibe. Staff were rushed off their feet, one spilled dirty floor water on me when walking past and no apology etc, they gave us one drink and we waiting for the other and had to ask for them to bring it out. The food quality varied massively from dish to dish, some being obviously pre made and warmed up (valentines day did have a set menu). I appreciate restaurants have to pre make stuff but most of the time you can't tell. Also see in the above picture, the plate was comically filled with salad 🤣. The restaurant is a chain, and I feel they might be going for a business orientated approach (as opposed to taking pride in a great customer orientated experience), lowering their costs and keeping prices high. Not ideal when your going out and spending $270 on a 2 person meal, realizing you can make something better at home. Since there are so many restaurants in Boston and Brookline to explore, we unfortunately won't be going back.
Cameron F — Google review
Overall this was a good restaurant. I personally did not care too much for the fish soup or the Boeif Bourgignon, it was too salty and dry for my taste. But the onion soup, the lamb and the Strip Steak with peppercorn sauce was very good. Service was a bit slow and no one checked in with us for first bites. But they did a good job of keeping our water filled.
Sam G — Google review
One of the best restaurant I've been in Boston. The atmosphere is authentic, service is polite and flexible and food is genuine. I would be back here at dinner time. P.S. I would love to add my great appreciation. After my visit, I had a small trouble about payment due to my mistake, but I was so amazed by their kind support! Thank you La Voile management team! I will definitely be back.
Karen I — Google review
The service was nice and friendly. It was a birthday Dinner and wanted a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the dinner was not remarkable. The escargot was good but not tasty. The braised beef was tough and the sauce/gravy was a bit too thick and salty. The duck entree was flavorful but the duck was unusually tough. The risotto was tasty but "al dente" was a bit too al dente. Had many French dinners and this one was unfortunately not to my standards. Too bad because it seems like a quaint place to dine.
Steven C — Google review
I recently revisited Lo Voile a French bistro I last dined at five years ago, hoping to relive fond memories of delicious cuisine. Unfortunately, my return visit was a letdown in every way possible. Starting with the onion soup, I was expecting a rich and flavorful broth, but what I got was bland and watery. It lacked the depth and savoriness that should define a good French onion soup. The escargots, which were a highlight of my previous visit, were similarly disappointing. They were overcooked and lacked the garlic and herb butter's usual vibrant taste, leaving them rather rubbery and tasteless. The main courses were no better. The food arrived cold, which is simply unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that prides itself on French culinary tradition. The moules, in particular, were a disaster. They were underseasoned and overcooked, resulting in a chewy, unappetizing dish that I couldn't finish. Overall, my return to La Voile was a huge disappointment. The decline in quality over the past five years is stark, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a genuine French dining experience.

The MIT Museum in Boston, Massachusetts is a haven for science and technology enthusiasts. The museum showcases a wide array of exhibits including kinetic sculptures, robots, holograms, and interactive installations that aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Recently relocated to a new purpose-built space at the heart of MIT's Kendall Square campus, the museum boasts 56,000 square feet of engaging galleries spread across three floors.
I had a fantastic visit to the MIT Museum! It’s such a cool place, blending science, technology, and art in a way that’s both mind-blowing and accessible. The interactive exhibits were a lot of fun, like the AI section where you can spot real versus fake videos or even compose a poem with a computer. The museum’s new space in Kendall Square has a modern, open layout that makes exploring really enjoyable. I also appreciated the historical artifacts, like the Apollo Guidance Computer, which show off MIT’s groundbreaking contributions. I do wish they’d had a free pass for us Harvard fellows too, but it was still well worth the visit! It’s an inspiring spot for anyone curious about innovation, and I’d definitely recommend checking it out!

An amazing experience! The MIT Museum offers a perfect mix of science, technology, and creativity. I loved the interactive exhibits and the fascinating stories behind the innovations. Great for anyone curious about how ideas shape our world. Definitely worth visiting.

Amazing science and technology museum! Will definitely inspire you to do high quality research in your area. You can easily spend 2-3 h here. Lot of good information to read if you're interested. Engineering students and graduate students might really enjoy the exhibits. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
Shaik A — Google review
The MIT Museum felt like a museum made up of the work of graduate students and recent MIT graduates, including work relating to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Biology. This was alongside interactive installations and some rare, vintage items. There were also more artistic installations, so overall it was quite varied in its offerings. I would say it did not blow me away completely, though I did enjoy several parts of it. It was also a bit small to my liking, just two floors and one of the floors (the 3rd) was around half. Worth a visit nonetheless and it gets you in the MIT engineering and hacking culture but also the wonder of biological discovery and CRISPR.
Raúl F — Google review
Is it terrible of me to say that I miss some of the older exhibits and enjoyed the museum more prior to the renovation? I know that sounds awful! But the small nature of the other museum and some of the exhibits, such as the kinetic machines, were really attractive and fun, and this one seems as if it is somehow more sterile. It also seemed as if the older museum really catered more for inquisitive adults, and this museum had children running all over the place! There are so many museums and exhibits in the city that really cater to children, that it would be wonderful to have a museum that is more suitable for adults. I have children; they are older now, and I’m not anti-children, but the older museum felt more adult – focused. This one also felt like it was singing the praises of MIT more, which is great, that’s why we’re there, but I would love to know what the researchers are up to, without having an interactive exhibit that asked me what I like most about MIT. I really don’t know what I like most about MIT, because I don’t attend MIT. And the exhibit asked me for adjectives to describe MIT. I think that feels more like an assignment for the students and professors, and perhaps that’s the point of this new museum? Perhaps it’s supposed to be a hub for MIT students and professors and also…visitors. Regardless, bring back more exhibits that are interactive/movement based. Again, I’m returning to the kinetic exhibit, but have things that we can really watch and engage in, rather than looking at an object and having the explanation next to it on the wall. Yes, there were a few things to engage in, especially with the AI section, but we can write a collaborative poem with AI at home. I’m wondering how they could make things more interactive and also capture the attention of the adults. I was there with my 22-year-old son, who is a stem guy and is majoring in stem in college, and he just didn’t seem to feel it had a lot to offer either. Also, the last time I was there, I went by the gift shop and bought some periodic table of the elements bags and mugs etc. Now my daughter is a chemist at the Mayo Clinic, I was so excited to run in the gift shop and grab a bunch of chemistry items, and the gift shop instead had lots of kids toys in it. It was fairly disappointing. I would love it to be more Stem related and less about the dehydrated ice cream that you can get when you visit the Smithsonian Museums in DC. Not really even MIT related. Just stuff you’d find in any children’s tech museum gift shop. I did manage to find a chemistry-related glass and a game of chemistry flux. Also, I would’ve loved to have seen some more of their robotics. They have some on display at the museum of science, why could we not watch some of them on display here? Overall, an underwhelming experience. Would hope for more adult and interactive and challenging exhibits in the future, and let’s tilt the gift shop to be things that would be less children- focused as well. This isn’t really a children’s museum, is it? Or perhaps I’m missing the point, and it is supposed to be now.
Lockie H — Google review
If you are a MIT student I highly recommend that you visit the Museum at some point. It is highly unqiue and provides a gateway into the MIT way (P.S its free for students!). If you are visiting the area the MIT Museum offers great exhibits that are both timeless and unique to the current state of the world/technology. Great for kids and families!
Lim Y — Google review
A waste of time and money for me. So sorry. I thought I'd see real explanations of AI, robotics, etc but instead of that I saw walls of text and unmoving exhibits like old rulers, robotic hand, and circuits. Yes, they could be there but without cutting edge science and real explanations (not looped videos ) it could be so much better. Just not that visual or breakthrough, I guess . And btw, there is a war with 'dangerous white males' throughout texts in the museum. Disappointed.

Kenmore Square is a lively and vibrant intersection near Boston University and Fenway Park, featuring buzzing restaurants and the iconic Citgo sign. It's conveniently accessible by subway, making it a central hub for Boston's cultural scene. The area is just a few blocks away from Fenway Park, Boston University, and Lansdowne Street, the epicenter of Boston's nightlife. Kenmore Square is great. Close to lots of places but specially to Fenway. Train accesible, hotels in the area and lots of places to eat. Easy to walk around using pedestrian crossing designated areas. Very close to some of the clubs in town and a quick uber ride, bikeride or even walk to Newbury Street.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Buckminster on Kenmore Square and found this to be a decent area for stays in Boston. It would also be a convenient place to stop for dining for those catching a game at Fenway Park just a few minutes walk from Kenmore Square. Plenty of restaurants and bars here, a bit of green space with trees and two T station entrances on both sides of Commonwealth Avenue which intersects with Beacon Street here at Kenmore. In the end, no real reasons to go out of your way to visit Kenmore Square unless stopping by after a Red Sox game or if you are staying at the Hotel Buckminster. However, on the whole, it isn't a bad place.

Local fast-food chain of burger & frappe joints focusing on fresh, homemade ingredients.
Excellent sandwiches in the heart of Boston. We tried the chicken and veg options and they were very good. Various sauce options.

I was here after work the guy of the desk aspiro help me a lot it was the best burger I ever have I highly recommend this place

Nothing beats UBurger in and around Boston. The burgers are juicy, served hot and packed with loads of whatever you've ordered as toppings. I just wish they'd open a location nearer to downtown!

Great burgers. I love how one can customize an egg 🥚 on top of the 🍔!

The burger tastes amazing, the bread smells so good, the fries is unforgettable!!!
Lily W — Google review
Very good burger that was reasonably priced. 1) Grand Slam Burger- very flavorful. Mushroom and bacon combination was very complementing 2) Caesar Salad with Chicken - Relatively basic. Filling and gets the job done. 3) Large fries - Above average tasting fries from other places around. Would definitely recommend.
Vahe Y — Google review
The food was about average. Chicken sandwich wasnt anything spectacular and felt like cutlet was little smaller. I wish onion rings were bit crispy.
Viv L — Google review
I give this place 5 stars because I’m willing to circle the block for 30 min to get a spot. Burgers dogs fries and ring are a must. The house sauce is fantastic on all the burgers. I combo mine w crispy onion rings and a banana chocolate shake. Hits the spot every time. Clean quick service and always consistent. Well managed establishment. Very kid friendly.

Chinese restaurant
Sumiao Hunan Kitchen is a renowned restaurant in Boston, located near Kendall Square. Founded by Sumiao Chen, it offers an upscale dining experience with a modern art-filled room and Asian-inspired cocktails. The menu features traditional Hunanese recipes with bold flavors and fiery spices, showcasing high-quality ingredients in dishes like Five-Spiced Braised Beef, Nom Numb Wings, and Spicy Twin Lobsters.
The food here was excellent, all of the dishes had great texture. The steamed egg tofu dish was very smooth, and the spice and sweetness paired very well together. However, I think I would have personally preferred it to not be spicy. All of the dishes were flavored very well! I definitely recommend the steamed eggs and spicy cucumber appetizer. For dessert, I had the chocolate fudge, which was super yummy 🥰🥰

Absolutely delicious - my only regret was we got a bit scared off by some of the reviews around spiciness and opted for mild - this was a mistake. Added some hot sauce to the leftovers at home and it made something already quite delicious even better. Go for the spice! We enjoyed the scallion pancakes, pork bao, string beans and eggplant, sausage and potatoes in black bean sauce (an unexpected favorite), steak tips with crispy yams, and the house fried rice. Vincent our server was super attentive, friendly and informative. An all around wonderful experience and very family-friendly to boot. Will be back for sure.

the meat dishes are really good but missing that garlic flavor, the presentation is on point though. for the veggies, we got the watercress dish and it was all stem and less leaves so it was actually quite bitter and the garlic flavor just wasn’t there. the drinks are good though and the atmosphere was great!
Grace Z — Google review
A little disappointed with the food than expected. The okra was pretty good for a cold appetizer. The chefs special tofu with chive was very disappointing. It had lacked flavor for being a Hunan dish. Wouldn’t recommend that. My husband did say the Beef on Fire was decent. For the price the food wasn’t worth it. The interiors are good and their location is very prime for easy access.

An exquisite Hunan Chinese spot that I would recommend to if you’re looking for an upscaled restaurant to drink or dine. Ambience and Service is wonderful and the servings are proportionate to their prices as well. Out of all 4 dishes I would rate the Red Braised Pork Belly on top, sufficient for 3-4 people. Coming in 2nd is the Nom-Numb wings with its hot and fiery taste(please get one) and if you like it, come back and like my review(I’m sure you will). Yellow River Beef brings an interesting combination of mushroom and beef and the Lava Fish will be the most healthy and lean part of our entire selection of dish if you’re looking for something very subtle and rich in protein.

We’ve been going to Sumiao since it opened. The food is exceptional authentic Hunan fare. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, nice decor, lovely dishes and it is impeccably clean and kept up. Last night we had Adam a new server. He was great. Attentive and knew the menu well.
Brenda P — Google review
The medium hot not spicy enough for authentic Hunan cuisine. Very good control of the ingredients and flavors. It’s very salty in general.
Yuwei F — Google review
There’s nothing average about this restaurant from the attentive staff to the authenticity of the Hunan dishes, Every moment got better and better. All the items recommended by the staff were on point. The Yellow River Beef, A strange name but a must-try. The spicy crunchy cucumber- Just as expected. Wok’d fried rice could have used a little more seasoning. Grandma’s pork was exceptional. The Mala duck was a favorite. The chili chicken was good. Johnny the bartender kept us entertained And hydrated with strange and unique cocktailsand as expected we stayed too long! We were introduced to Ernest the manager and Shao, the owner. They could not have been more friendly and hospitable. Next time I go, no doubt I will order the whole prepared duck and the lobster with ginger and scallions.

Spanish restaurant
Taberna de Haro is a charming corner taverna in Brookline that has been serving authentic Spanish cuisine for over 20 years. The restaurant boasts an extensive selection of over 300 Spanish wines, curated by chef-sommelier-owner Deborah Hansen, who has received accolades such as being named a James Beard Award nominee for Outstanding Wine Program. The wine list includes a variety of options from joyful dark red fruits to light and refreshing whites, along with a dozen different sherries.
If you’re looking for an authentic Spanish dining experience in Brookline, Taberna de Haro is a must-visit. The food is simply outstanding—every dish we tried was bursting with rich, vibrant flavors that transported us straight to Spain. From the perfectly cooked tapas to the carefully selected wines, each bite and sip was a delight. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed for a perfect evening. But what really made our night special was Walter, the bartender. He has an incredible knack for crafting cocktails and made us feel like valued guests from the moment we sat at the bar. His recommendations were spot-on and his warm, welcoming attitude added a personal touch that enhanced the experience even more. Whether you’re looking to indulge in classic Spanish dishes or explore new flavors, Taberna de Haro delivers on every front.

Our first time here since new owners took over the restaurant. The menu looked the same as before. We were curious if the flavors would be similar and, pleasantly, found them to be almost the same. The fried calamari was a little over fried and served with mayo instead of a marinara sauce, but the portion was larger. We enjoyed the jamon croquetas and potato tortilla, which looked and tasted the same as before. The sauté spinach was delicious. Service was efficient. Looking forward to coming back to try other dishes.

Taberna de Haro is definitely one of those places that’s very unassuming from the outside but inviting. Finally paid a visit after walking by almost everyday during the summer and fall. I loved their patatas bravas and their choice of wines. It’s a great place for Tapas, small plates that are best shared. Was impressed enough to be certain that I’ll go back again soon.
Kartik B — Google review
Absolutely wonderful - the food was delicious and the ambience was nice and cozy with a warm personality, like a true taberna that the Spanish locals go to every night. We lucked out with a counter seating in front of the kitchen, getting to watch the food come out fresh and made to order with love, plus when a jamón leg is sitting in front of you, what more could you ask for? The Isastegui sidra was bright and fresh as we remembered it, though the cocktails and wine also seem to be huge hits at tables around us. The pan con tomate was nice and fresh (our favorite tapas staple to test out restaurants); the biénmesabe was a delicate, fried bundle of white fish joy; habas con tocino were a delight with fresh faba beans and nice bits of salt from the back and brightness from the mint. We wish the setas (oyster mushrooms with a sunny duck egg) were a tad less salty, but the dish works overall. Great atmosphere (a tad loud for those of us losing our hearing) with nice variation in seating, and the staff were absolutely caring and attentive. We love Spanish food, so it means a lot to be able to find what we think is the best tapas restaurant that goes beyond patatas bravas and albóndigas! We'll be back soon!

Absolute gem of a Spanish Restaurant! The owner, Jesse, was incredibly accommodating and friendly and managed to squeeze us in! Exceptional tapas, extraordinary wine list and even better sherry list! 12/10. you will not be disappointed!

Came in with a reservation around 6pm which is kinda early for dinner but it wasn’t too crowded yet. The staff was very attentive and great at giving me a wine recommendation (cono 4). Croquetas were solid (they upsell you to get 4 instead of 3 but I’m not complaining). Goat cheese toasts were good too and worth it to share with more than 2 people because of how dense they are. Onto the shrimp, the oil they were in was phenomenal. Loved to dip the bread in there. Mushrooms were extremely yummy as well, and the classic spanish egg topping is always a nice touch. I look forward to coming back sometime to try more of their menu.

Excellent food! Excellent customer service! Fantastic atmosphere! This is the place for your next dinner reservation! The paella was incredible, generous portion as well. Our cheese plate and calamari was perfect accompaniment. All of this with such friendly staff and hosts!
Bryano B — Google review
A friend was in town and suggested we eat Spanish food. I had just visited Spain last month so I was eager to compare. We started with an order of ham croquetas and batatas bravas. Both were very good, though I had better in Spain. We shared a seafood paella and it was outstanding, equal to any I've tried over there. Truly mouth watering, with loads of seafood. Our server was super friendly. I know that some restaurants like to dim the lights for atmosphere, but it was too dark. I recommend this restaurant, but if you come, bring a flashlight.
