Must do in LG area. Guides were funny, kind and helpful ( Zach, Kirsten, Terry, and Ben ). Can’t forget about Chuck the bus driver. All really cool people. The time flew by we had so much fun even though it was pretty cloudy. Wouldn’t go anywhere else ⛅️
We had such a fantastic experience with Tubby Tubes River Co.! The whole trip was well-organized, safe, and a lot of fun. A special shoutout to our guides, Kira and Izzy who were super! Both were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time on the water. Their energy and professionalism really stood out and made the day extra enjoyable. I highly recommend Tubby Tubes to anyone looking for a fun and memorable river adventure. We’ll definitely be coming back when in the area again… if I had to complain about something, I just wish the trip was a little bit longer 😎
Perfect afternoon on the water with Tubby Tubes! The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and funny! They made sure everyone was safe and having a good time. The water was perfect and warmer than we expected which was nice. Highly recommend this for a fun family outing while staying in the Lake George area!
We really enjoyed tubing with Tubby Tubes ! Very clean and organized! They thought of everything! Bathrooms, snacks and changing facilities on site. It was a great way to spend a few hours relaxing. Would highly recommend and next time we are in Lake George would definitely do it again! Make sure you bring a water proof cell phone case. Zach our tour guide, Erin our bus driver and Laney were friendly and kind!
Communication was organized and efficient leading up to our tubing time. When we arrived the check in process was easy. Staff was very friendly and down to earth. Dawn our bus rider was amazing. The river was gorgeous, tubing was so much fun! There were plenty of guides to ensure everything went as it should. We were in a big group and 3 of us feel behind. One of the guides had us hold on to her kayak and got us to our group. The tubing portion was about 2 miles and we didn’t want to get out. Awesome time!
What an adventure we had today ! From the bus driver to the ladies checking us in what a friendly experience.. Zach was our guide and he was funny and energetic. Along with four other guides to keep us safe .. we will go back and visit again .
My kids first time 10 and 8. Had a blast. Hunter was our guide. He was funny and helpful. Ken was our bus driver and he was great. 10 out 10 recommend.
I went today for the 1st time and I i don't know where to begin. Our guides Izzy and Kirsten, we're amazing. The bus driver was very kind. It was such a nice relaxing day. I look forward to going again soon. The customer service at tubby tubes is amazing.

Best horseback riding experience! We have done a half dozen rides at different places in the US and Italy, and this was the best. The staff was friendly and attentive. They made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. Group was small and the ride was at a relaxing pace. And the horses were the best! All the horses were clam and easy to handle. No problem at all. Ride left on time and returned on time. We did the breakfast ride. Rode out to the to the breakfast site in the middle of forest and enjoyed eggs, beacon, hash browns and biscuits. Planning to go back and do the dinner ride!
I went for the two hour mountain ride. Everyone was respectful, accommodating and informative. I got to ride foxy. I was nervous with her at first, but than I think we both figured each other out and relaxed. She was a really great horse. Soo glad I got paired with her. The only slight negatives: Stay away from the porta potty if you can, I couldn't really hear what the guide was saying because I was in the back, and it did rain but I'd rather go in the rain than not at all. The guide we had was excellent because she listened, was friendly and was very knowledgeable.Even though I could not hear what was being said, at points, she made sure you heard anything that was important about riding; like putting your feet more in front when going down hill.she stopped every once in a while to make sure everyone was good. The fact that it rained was obviously beyond their control There was a window when we got to the top, stopped and we could see the fog clear and saw the beautiful mountains and lakes. Fantastic views. We got to enjoy the woods and the deer. All around fantastic ride. The horses seemed well taken care of.All of the staff from beginning to end were great. Thank you for everything you all did.
If you're looking to escape the busy city and get away from the stress and crowds, this is the perfect spot. Surrounded by nature and animals, it offers a peaceful and relaxing experience with stunning views and a simple yet delicious meal. This is a family-owned place with well-cared-for horses, and the love and dedication truly show. It’s absolutely worth the price and the experience. We did the Dinner Ride and can’t wait to come back for the Breakfast Ride soon!
The dinner ride was an absolute delight! Beautiful view the horses and guides were great and Jeff cooked us a fabulous meal. We couldn’t ask for more a definite must if your in the area.
The staffing was great! My family had an awesome time riding the horses and I got to stay back and played with Phoenix or Felix the cat. He’s a farm cat. Come out and check it out for yourself!!
This was a highlight of our trip to the Adirondacks. We kicked things off at a ranch with views of mountains in the back. After getting acquainted with our horses, we set off into the forest on a captivating trail that led us to our dinner spot (highly recommend the dinner tour!). The trail was dynamic and engaging, winding through the mountains with a mix of uphill climbs, downhill slopes, flowing streams, and the soothing sounds of nature all around us. It wasn’t difficult by any means, but was not boring! The view at the top was absolutely breathtaking. The sun and clouds felt within reach, outlines of mountain tops in their blue haze right under. The whole view was yours. Enjoying dinner with such a backdrop was a soul-warming experience. Our hosts were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the trip. We would visit again!
My husband and I did the breakfast ride today and it was such a fun experience! The horses we rode on each matched our individual personalities so well lol. (Dylan and Dillinger) breakfast was yummy too! This was my first time riding and it was such a pleasant time. We hope to come back and do the mountain ride in the future!
Went there with the family and had an awesome time. Explained everything and our guide was wonderful!! Can’t wait to do this again, will try the evening ride next time!👍🏽👍🏽❤️🙏🏽

What a GREAT experience ! Friendly atmosphere. Buy the combo online (dinner and rodeo) . The BBQ was off the hook !
First time at a rodeo and it was the best! Tickets were 22$ for the rodeo only but they had a BBQ before the rodeo which you pay extra for. There was plenty of activities to be seen during the rodeo. Bull riding, horse racing and numerous other activities. So worth it!!! Majority is cash only so bring cash.
Place is awsome the bbq dinner next door was to die for all you can eat for 20$ definitely try the iced tea was amazing and a hell of a show at the rodeo even got to walk up amd pet the calfs such a good time if you're near by and looking for something to do
What a great rodeo! Old school setup, plenty of parking, good ground & just a super neat place to visit!
So much fun and the BBQ was delicious! It was a great show with lots of crown engagement. Bleachers are tricky but there is lawn chair seating at the top for easy access.
Took my family for the bbq and rodeo, we had a great time and the food was great. We will be visiting again when we are in the area
Had a lot of fun with my family at this rodeo. Bbq beforehand was a great lunch and the 2pm show today (Thursday) was family friendly and very entertaining. The rodeo clown was funny and kept the kids engaged and entertained while still providing laughs for the adults too. The music choices were top notch, kept everybody dancing and dinging along. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Everyone we encoutered who worked there was friendly and seemed happy to be there.
We went for the dinner and the Rodeo. The food was GREAT! We also enjoyed the rodeo very much. This is such a great family outing. Highly. Recommend.

Went for an hour trail ride on 9/29. As a horse person myself, i was Very impressed at how the horses are so well kept. Barbara is a book of knowledge in both riding and as a trail guide. She even takes pics for you! Pete Takes very good care of the horses feet. Cheaper than the other trail rides around lake Luzerne. Will definitely be back
My husband and I are new to the area and we were looking for activities to spend the day and to experience the fall foliage and we found Ruggieros Ride Horse. It was an amazing expirience and it was our first time. Pete and Barb are so kind and they explain everything with so many patience and so clear that it was easy to understand what you need to do. The place is incredible, is so lovely, you get to ride through the woods and on the side of a lake, you can see mountains too and with the fall colors it was just amazing. The day was sunny so it made everything better. We are not aloud to take pictures during the horse riding but do not worry, they take the pictures for you, of the scenery, landscapes and of you riding the horse. Horses are really well behave and trained that you don't need to worry about them. My horse was called "handsome", so serious, educated and I would say friendly. Im sharing some pictures here, I could keep writing and writing but the only thing I can say is DO NOT hesitate on booking a horse ride with Ruggieros, it is an amazing experience for us and it will be the same for you.
Absolutely AMAZING! My son and I booked the hour and half trail ride, we have been on numerous trail rides before and this by far exceeded all of my expectations! The horses are beautiful, the trail is amazing and Barbara is wonderful! Beautiful scenery, at each turn you felt like you were in a different place. We will be back for sure!!
We spent some time near Lake George pre-busy season and did a 1 hour ride on 4/15. Ruggiero's was the only ranch open for rides this time of year and we are so happy that we had a chance to spend our time here. The horses are very well taken care of and the trail ride was so much fun with Cowboy Pete leading the way. Thanks for the fun memories!
This experience was little bit better then one before at Mountain View Rocking B ranch. The reason why is the trail, trail is much more fun where you go up and down, next to the small lake, trough the little river, mud and similar. It was really relaxing and we all enjoyed!!! The guide was super nice, he is older gentleman and we really appreciated him. We’ll be back for sure next summer!
I normally don’t leave reviews but this ranch definitely earned it , As hard to please as she is she absolutely loved it. So we took my uncle , nephew and his friend horseback riding here and I will be honest , she has experience but I did not before this past Sunday. The owner was very helpful and understanding. He explained safety rules and even answered all my questions as I had no idea how to make the horse move lol. Made us feel very comfortable. The guide barb was awesome too, as she gave us helpful tips maneuvering through the trail , going up and down hills. She brought us to a beautiful view overlooking water with beavers. Gave us history on the horses and the ranch. She was very cool. The horses were well trained and well kept. I still say my horse legend was the best tho 😉. The kids loved it and already want to go back.Overall we had a great time and we definitely will be back. It’s unfortunate that this is one of the last few ranches in the area that dose horse back riding. I truly believe it’s important for kids to be outside and to experience nature and the basics of life. Basically if you’re looking for a very family oriented place that makes you feel at home, definitely 👍 this is the place.
We had such a wonderful horse riding adventure with Ruggiero’s - it was the highlight of our weekend! My wife and I are first time riders, and we wanted to experience the Adirondack trails on horseback. I’m so glad we found Ruggiero’s, It was so easy to book with Cowboy Pete, everything was done via text message. Make sure to book early as they get booked up quite quickly! When you show up, they have their horses ready and the staff are like one big family, all of them are so warm and friendly. They all know the horses and their personalities so intimately. Getting on and riding the horse was incredibly easy - the staff teach you the basics and the horses take it from there. My horse was named Kool, and my wife had Dixie - these horses are a match made in heaven and are thrilled to have rode them. We showed up a bit earlier than our time slot and were able to ride out early. Even though it was raining lightly, we were still able to go out and have an excellent experience. Our guide’s name is Emma and she is awesome!! She took great care to make sure that we were all comfortable, and she’s super sweet and knowledgeable. You can tell that the staff take such great care of the horses, and don’t want to overexert them so they limit bookings. Ruggiero’s accepts both cash and credit card, with a small discount for cash. Make sure to tip your guides well, they are just fantastic. We will be back for sure!
We showed up just before 10 am. Their ride times for the rest of the day were sold out , but they took the 3 of us for a ride right then. It was awesome! It was my daughter's first time riding on her own, she loved it! The people were super nice and really gave us a great experience. Definitely recommend these guys for an awesome riding experience!

I was so impressed with this historic school building. I learned that it currently houses classrooms for Fiber Arts, Basketry, Woodworking, Woodcarving, Quilting, Felting, to name a few. The Lake George Annex location – the Alfred Z. Solomon Weaving and Woodworking Studio – has allowed the Folk School even more space for some of their larger class offerings, such as the Wee Lassie Canoe, and various Fiber Arts classes. During our visit we learned that In 2023, over 1,000 students who had 60 artisan instructors and over 250 classes to choose from were able to take advantage and learn from the best. It was a welcoming place, which invites people to come see what Folk Schools are all about, where they started, and how they made their way to America.
A group of five of us did an intro blacksmithing workshop with Steve. We had a really wonderful time. Everyone at the school was attentive and helpful; the space is wonderful, and Steve was a blast to work with. We all plan to come back for some more classes soon!
People are nice and what one learns is also a great. I took a basket making class; the instructor was great and I took home a nice basket, which my wife receives many compliments on. Also, on a later date, made Roasting Forks with my daughter, which was really great. Hat's off to the old timey blacksmiths; we had a forge...it took all day, but well worth the work!
First day of a four day blacksmithing class, excellent instructor, great facility & staff. They offer many classes in many different areas of folk arts. Well worth your time.
Great place to Learn new crafts and skills. My kids love Open Forge Night. - "Novak Real Estate of Hadley"
An incredible place to learn all sorts of traditional skills. Everything from blacksmithing to making a wooden canoe is taught here. They have different instructors from all over the world who come here to teach.
Exceptional!!! An excellent place located in a beautiful mountainous Town with amazing teachers that bring old world teachings to the masses. Tons of classes and demonstrations.
I took a paddle-making class and was so impressed both with the facility and the instructor, Caleb Davis. I have a little woodworking experience but haven't done much carving, so I was dubious about the quality of paddle I'd produce. But I walked away with a piece I'm really proud of, and I know I have Caleb's clear teaching (and preternatural patience) to thank for it. I'll certainly consider taking another class here!

Bon's Ice Cream & Adirondack Miniature Golf serves great ice cream and has a fun miniature golf course. Located on Route 9N in the town of Lake Luzerne, Bon's is only a little ways outside of Lake George. They serve Perry's Hard Ice Cream in many different flavors and they also have soft serve. Both choices of ice cream are good here! They also have good like chicken tenders, fries, and hotdogs. The miniature golf course is well kept, clean, and fun. The prices here are on par with other ice cream stands like it in the area. There are plenty of picnic benches set up outside to enjoy a nice evening. On summer evenings this place can attract a large crowd. If you want an escape from downtown Lake George or are at a campground in the area, or you're a local stop here for a tasty treat!
Best ice cream on the East Coast. Been in business here for 31+ years and they know what is delicious. The soft serve is the creamiest ever and that coupled with the Italian Water Ice to produce a Rosati Gelati is worth driving 12 hours for! The mini golf is simple yet challenging and very well decorated. Quite fun for the kids.
Great mini golf away from the crowds. Fun course and very clean. You can tell the owners care about quality! And the soft serve ice cream… so creamy and delicious! Our kids want to go back tomorrow! It is cash only, but there’s an ATM on site.
Mini golf was a lot of fun and the ice cream was just as tasty. Super kid, friendly and nice picnic tables to eat outside. Also have some hot food
Perry's hard ice cream and soft serve ice cream. Lots of choices for cones, sundaes, flurrys, dips, milkshakes. The long lines on a hot day and the staff worked fast and friendly. There is putt putt golf behind the stand for family fun.
Nice little stop on your way to wherever. Clean and well maintained area, they have outdoor seating only. There are picnic tables with umbrellas, some are in the shade also. You can find a mini golf course out back that looks good for the younger crowd. The staff was friendly and the service was quick.
Mini golf was so cute. Found this on the way in lake luzern
Cash only! Exciting mini golf course! So many delicious ice cream flavors. Plenty of outside seating.

I just can't get enough of this place! If you want to leave the city life and relax under the stars with the sound of nurture, look no further. This is the place you want to go. Love to take out all the toys they have kayak, paddle boarding, canoes, party boat, row boats, jet skis etc. Staff are always nice and helpful.
I am writing to detail our recent experience renting a pedal boat at this Lake Luzerne facility. I would like to begin by commending the staff for their friendly and efficient service during the check-in process; the waiver and life vest procedures were straightforward and well-managed. However, the quality of the rental equipment was a significant concern. The pedal boat we were assigned was unclean and had a piece of duct tape with "Out of order" written on it. The staff informed us that a part had been replaced, and the boat was operational. Trusting this assessment, we proceeded. Regrettably, within approximately ten minutes of pedaling on the lake, the boat began to fill with water on one side, compromising its stability and safety. We had no choice but to terminate our excursion and return to the dock. Given that we paid $70 for this rental, the experience was profoundly disappointing and did not meet our expectations for value or safety. We would strongly advise a thorough inspection and repair of the watercraft to prevent similar incidents. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend this activity to others at this time.
We had a great day on the lake with kayaks and riding the water bike. Tori was awesome with showing us how to use everything the proper way and making sure all the equipment was ready to use. Thank you Tori for a fun day!
I booked a 1-hour jet ski ride and had a great experience riding on the river—until I was flagged down by a staff member. He politely informed me that I had gone too far downriver and asked me to follow him back to the cove. Once we returned, he advised me that riding was restricted to the cove area only. This came as a surprise, as I was not informed beforehand that I would be limited to such a small space. Had I known, I likely would not have booked with this company. In my opinion, the cove felt sketchy and unsafe for jet ski riding. There were low sandbars and rapids that you had to avoid, and much of the cove was shallow enough that you could see the riverbed—raising serious concerns about potential injury if someone fell off. Additionally, if more than one jet ski was out there at a time, space would be extremely limited, creating a high risk for collisions. These are the main reasons I ventured downriver—to find deeper water and more space to ride safely. However, after being advised to stay in the cove, I chose to end my ride early. While I’ve never rented a jet ski on a river before, I’ve had great experiences on lakes where there’s more freedom, room to roam, and fewer safety concerns due to proximity hazards. That said, I want to highlight that the staff was incredibly professional and understanding. When I voiced my concerns and requested a refund, they did not hesitate and processed it immediately—no pushback at all, which I appreciated. My only suggestion to the company is to be more upfront during the booking and instruction process about the limited area riders are allowed to operate in. That transparency would help customers make a more informed decision.
I would like to start by pointing out the safe rides/boats and the experienced and kind staff. Chandler you’re a wonderful host. Thanks for coming out and taking the time to welcome us and say goodbye. A week isn’t enough to enjoy all you have to offer. Can’t wait to come back!!
The staff at River Ridin are very nice and informative. My family and I had a blast on their pontoon boat! Definitely would go through this company again!
We had a great time. The boat and equipment was top notch. The staff was friendly and professional. Hanna was the best! We'll definitely be back! Thanks...
Staff was very friendly and helpful, we rented the jet ski and had a great time. i would definitely recommend this, it is easy to get to with great customer service. I would go back again
