The Lake George Steamboat Company, established in 1817, operates three historic ships: the Minnie-Ha-Ha, a rare steam paddle wheeler; the Mohican, with over a century of continuous operation; and the Lac du Saint Sacrement, the largest cruise ship in inland New York State. Daily hour-long lakefront cruises are available, as well as longer specialty and entertainment cruises. The company also offers private event rentals.
It's a fun way to see Lake George. We had a nice meal with desert. If you are looking for a view. I think some of the upper decks had a better view of the area. But all of the different leaves are nice. We also had a great time listening to the exactly singer and piano player as well.

The kids and I loved the little song played with the steam before we got on the boat. They took a group pic of us before we got on the boat which was cute. And it was an additional cost of $45 (package). We went on the Minnie Ha Ha. It was nice sunny day. Took out and kept us entertained with cute little facts. The drinks and food is not free . When reading on the website it makes it seem like light refreshments were included with the tickets when purchasing online. Which it’s not. Other than that it was a nice experience. You can even go down and see how the boat work with steam. And of course the view was amazing.

We absolutely loved our trip on Lake George aboard the historic cruise steamboat! The atmosphere was truly unique – it felt like stepping back in time while enjoying the stunning lake views. We especially appreciate that the company has been operating for so many years, preserving this wonderful tradition. Thank you for an unforgettable experience – we will definitely be back!

Beautiful 90 plus day on a crystal clear lake. Lake George offers a variety of pleasures. Day trips to mini or full vacations. THIS shouldn't be passed up. If you want a outing for not high cost value with memorable times and great views I recommend this company. From 1 hour to a full lake excursion they offer so much in mind. From just a boat tour to fireworks or other themes this is such a worth while endeavor. It's got so much to offer for the value. Super happy I took my wife on the lake cruise it was 5 hours but such a beautiful day and so many great views. Def will again and other things we saw that's worth doing. Parking was 20 and it's first come first serve so early is better than late :-)
Wanderer — Google review
Wish the seating was alittle nicer but given the history of the boat itself I can understand. All in all the boat/lake tour was cool. But the guy thats collecting the money for parking needs to either take a happy pill or go find another line of work. Outside of that it's worth taking a tour on the boat.
Brian R — Google review
Great experience. Was happy with boarding- speed and efficiency. Ride was smooth.. narrative was interesting. Food service was a bit expensive. Pictures taken prior to trip were very pricey. I would have purchased just one..but the package couldn't be broken up? Good overall
Carol D — Google review
It was a beautiful day to enjoy the boat tour! The Captain offered a nice narrated tour as we set out for our hour long excursion. It was very interesting to hear about all of the famous people that have been enjoying this beautiful lake since the 1800's. They don't rush you on the boat and they don't rush you off either. That's very important to me as I don't move as quickly as I used to! All of the staff were friendly and it's a wonderful escape into history and how this town became such a hotbed for tourists! The next time we visit, I would love to try the longer tour with the included meal! The Rails to Sails is a wonderful way to create a day travel package and well worth the trip!!!

On a beautiful, warm early October day, we arrived at Lake George, a brilliant blue lake underneath an equally brilliant sky. The tourist crowds had dispersed in the preceding weeks. We enjoyed a 60-minute gentle tour of the lower end of the lake, narrated with just a touch of dry wit by our captain. The views were lovely, and if we had the chance to do it over again, we would have booked the more extended tour or the dinner cruise.

I’m visiting Lake George for my birthday and my partner took me here for the wine tasting experience. This experience has absolutely made my birthday weekend! Justin was very thorough and engaging throughout our time there. He explained the notes on each wine I tasted and was an absolute delight! 10/10 would recommend to anyone else visiting the area.

Adirondack Winery truly lives up to its reputation as a chic destination, offering a delightful escape with an inviting ambiance that perfectly complements its impressive offerings. From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and savor the experience. One of the standouts is undoubtedly the staff. Speaking of selections, Adirondack Winery boasts a "good selection of wines and ciders," catering to a variety of palates. It's an ideal spot for a casual tasting, a gathering with friends, or simply a pleasant way to unwind.

Love this winery! So many amazing wines, I’m not into dry wines but the ones I tried were incredible. Everyone was super helpful, we had Ben mostly helping us and he was amazing! We bought more bottles than intended just from his tips. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Lake George!
Amanda R — Google review
Our server Carm was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the varieties of wine selections. Her suggestions for my preference of dry wines white/red for my wine tasting experience was on point. Loved all my wines. Definitely will come back again.

Adirondack Winery truly made my dad’s birthday so special. This was our second time coming back after a year, and Amber was still here just as hilarious, welcoming, and entertaining as ever. We were helped by Maya and Ben who were wonderful. Maya was sooo helpful helping my extremely indecisive family choosing wines for our flight. We laughed, we ate, and we learned about the wonderful wines the Adirondack Winery offered. Thank you Maya & Amber for the cherry on top of a wonderful weekend in Lake George! We’re so excited to share the multiple bottles we got with friends and family after this trip.

What a great tasting room! The staff was amazing! Zach really knew his product and taught us so much, Paige was so kind and Ben was a good laugh! My husband and I had a great time trying all the wonderful wines! We even got some Bourbon. Try the Peach wine!! Can't wait to go back in Spring!

Fort William Henry Museum, originally constructed in 1755, is a legendary British fort that played a significant role in the French and Indian War. The museum offers two tour options: a general history tour where visitors can learn about the area's history and interact with costumed reenactors, and a ghost tour featuring spooky sights and stories of supernatural encounters.
It was a great recreation of the original fort. It has a lot of great exhibits. Living historians there to give you demonstrations and information. Very great detail throughout the entire fort. Explaining living conditions, hospital care, and the different jobs others would complete throughout their time there.
Ryan J — Google review
Drop into and experience 1755. The Tour Guides are very knowledgeable and have a good wit. For accessibility there are some areas that are difficult to traverse and some buildings that have stairs only access. I did not feel as though I missed out on anything during my visit. They do have a staff operated outdoor elevator so those in wheelchairs can access the fort walls. You're ticket is good for 2 days so you have plenty of time to explore.
Landon M — Google review
One of the best forts I have ever been to. Just visited this place as a spur of the moment visit while traveling through back home from Maine to Ohio. This place does not disappoint. The guides who also do reenactments and demonstrations were very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Would love to go back someday.
Missy M — Google review
Really enjoyed our time there. The tour was really interesting and we loved the musket and cannon demos. Very unique. We went in Oct and the backdrop of the fall leaves… it was breathtaking. Highly recommend.
Amy L — Google review
We did the haunted tour. Very informative. The guides were great, funny, and told spooky stories. They even gave the option to be in the basement with the lights out. Definitely recommend if you're into history and/or the paranormal!
Jessica H — Google review
What a wonderful experience! All ages in our group of 6 and we loved it here. From the stories told on the guided tour to the cannon demonstration. I could not find one thing to say wrong about this place. We learned so much as well. Also if you are a fan of the last of the mohcans you would also be a fan of this stop on you trip to the lake or village.

I love old forts and historical places this is one. Nice quiet day good staff good service great time beautiful location great view a little pricey but I loved it old style dress and reenactment history tours lots of information on the time period and fort history and friendly staff good verity of historical artifacts and with fort ticonderoga north of lake George

If you enjoy American History and/or the story (&movie), Last of the Mohegans, put this on your To Do list. Our guide was engaging and fun. He and his Captain were very informative. This is the fort from the book/movie. Purely historical. No elevators. When we went, the buildings were so hot. (No ac in 1755).

Million Dollar Beach, also known as Lake George Beach, is a popular destination located at the southernmost point of Lake George. This 1,700-foot golden sandy beach offers a picturesque view of steamboats and provides amenities such as lifeguards, restrooms, showers, and a parking lot. Open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend between 8am and 8pm, visitors can enjoy swimming in designated areas when lifeguards are on duty.
Great spot… We came in the beginning of April on a cool overcast day, so it wasn’t exactly beach weather. I’ve been here before and it’s a great spot. Plenty of parking with nice clean facilities and friendly staff. The sand and the views are spectacular… Worth going out of your way for a visit.
Chris M — Google review
We visited million dollar beach and we were overall very happy with the cleanliness of the beach and water. There is a 10 dollar cost to park your car but still worth it. The water is low so it’s enjoyable for people of all ages. The lifeguards can get very annoying with the blowing of the whistles, especially for what seems like Minor offenses, but they are just doing their jobs. Definitely recommend this beach
Sal U — Google review
Imagine you need a calm, peaceful place where only the sound of ocean waves, seagulls, and children’s laughter surround you. Or maybe you’d like to enjoy a small picnic with your friend circle or take a cruise trip. In that case, Million Dollar Beach is a wonderful spot. I didn’t want to return home, it felt like I should stay a little longer, gazing at the friendship of the sky and mountains, mesmerized by the rhythm of the water’s waves.
Maria O — Google review
We had a great time as a family at Lake George's Million Dollar Beach. It's a really nice place to swim, and we felt comfortable with the good lifeguard supervision in the designated swimming areas. We would definitely come back again when we're in the area. We visited on a Monday (8/11) in the middle of the day, and it was quite crowded. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't a lot of space to lay out towels in the sand, especially near the main walkway and closer to the lake. There was more space available on the side of the building, but those areas didn't have lifeguards, which made it a little difficult to find a spot to relax while still being near a supervised swimming area. Despite that, it's a great location that's easy to get to, and the locker rooms and bathrooms were clean. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would recommend it for a fun family beach trip.
Jordan K — Google review
Lifeguards are present, but basically unnecessary for actual safety. Just there to enforce the way too many rules. No balls, no floats, no games, no fun. “Swimming” area is WAY too small and shallow. Might be worth it if your kid is 5 or younger. Not for anyone who likes doing more than sunbathing or standing in knee-deep water.
Kedrick S — Google review
Clean beach & changing rooms, attentive lifeguards and plenty of parking. Skip the snack bar: 56 minute wait in line for a drink
Mrs B — Google review
we went end of august. paid $10 to park. nice beach. great views of the lake and mountains. water clear and clean. swimming area roped off and on shallow end only (because it drops off to 30 feet), good for little kids. we walked over to dog beach which allows you to swim out further, but no lifeguard. there’s place to grab snacks. there’s restrooms and outdoor shower/faucet to wash feet.
Vanessa — Google review
We were able to enter beach with no parking fee. We lucked out. Beach is closed this past weekend, but a beautiful area to walk around and enjoy Lake George views, & people watch.

Miniature golf course
Experience a delightful and entertaining round of mini-golf at Goony Golf, a beloved local attraction that has been entertaining families for over 30 years. The whimsical course features iconic landmarks like Sir Goonys Castle and Humpty Dumpty, creating a nostalgic and fun-filled atmosphere for all ages. Visitors can expect classic mini-golf fun with themed holes that evoke childhood memories. The venue is known for its family-friendly environment, making it an ideal spot to spend quality time with loved ones.
Had a fun time with the family today at the Goony Golf in Lake George. Course was well maintained and great for young kids. The nursery rhyme theme was cute and my kids loved every whole. My only complaint is the arcade room could have an update. The games were pretty old and the room could use some love. But overall the mini golf itself is a good time.
Matthew C — Google review
Super corky! Pretty fun! I gave it 4 stars because none of the holes where to challenging, but over all fun definitely a good time if you’re in the area! No food* no drinks* Super cheap tho!
Kat- D — Google review
Still the same as when I was a kid. I'm so happy it's still around. I never have been to a mini golf place as fun as this one. It's silly and clean and has a lot of benches for people who aren't able bodied. A must stop especially with kids in Lake George.
In W — Google review
My family of 6 had a nice evening playing some mini golf together. A lot of people actually come here. It was a little wait to go to the next hole put we was not bothered with it. Because the theme of the park made it fun and exciting. It had a lot of story book characters. Which made it fine for the whole family. I myself actually enjoyed seeing Humpty Dumpty, the safari with water fall and rupunzel. There is also a pirate you can take pics with at the front and a little arcade. I would definitely go back again when visiting Lake George. Also the hotels have a coupon you can use.
Irina S — Google review
I have to give it five stars because it's so bad it's a blast. Paint chipping. Mismatched themes. Shoddy carpets and pieces that don't work so your ball gets stuck inside. Character rip offs. This place has them all. And yet ... Five stars. Yep. Really fun and funny.
Linda G — Google review
Couldn't find Goony at this establishment. ABSOLUTELY penetrated his castle, however. Goonysaurus’s legs were shorter than advertised, as I came in search for “long reptilian legs.” Loved sitting on blackbeards lap. 5/5 stars would recommend
Matt W — Google review
Great mini golf course! Awesome grounds fun for kids, adults and families! Reasonably priced too!
Amy M — Google review
I've been going to Goony Golf with family my entire life. Now that I have children of my own, it has become part of our yearly summer tradition. However, this year's experience was different. We had a group of 3 small children 4-6 years old golfing (plus an infant) and 4 adults, who were not playing, but teaching the children to play. We have done this without issue EVERY YEAR for 30+ years with various configurations of children in the family. This year, we were told the adults all had to pay to play (even myself, with a literal infant in a stroller) regardless of the fact we were not planning to play. The game would have taken 4x as long and we would have held up the line and wound up with a car full of cranky children had we played. Needless to say, the experience was double the price and half the fun as a result. None of the adults played, because we needed to help the children and also navigate the very non stroller friendly course while balancing 4 extra clubs.. Unfortunately this incident likely closed the door on Goony for good, at least until our children are grown. It's a shame, because the kids really like this course, but we can't justify a door price just to walk the course with our children. Horrible policy. Parents of small kids, take note. Threw 1 extra star on there for nostalgia.

Nestled conveniently off the main thoroughfare next to Price Chopper, Pizza Jerks has quickly established itself as a beloved destination for pizza enthusiasts. This charming eatery boasts an inviting hippie/rasta atmosphere, where you might find yourself swaying to the soothing sounds of Bob Marley while savoring their mouthwatering New York-style slices and pies. Beyond pizza, they offer a delightful array of dishes including award-winning chicken wings and local favorites like garlic knots.
Went here to grab late night pizza after driving all day for our anniversary trip and these dudes were NOT jerks! Probably the nicest people, they accommodated for my vegan dietary needs also. This really made our cozy night in our cute air bnb! This pizza was also so fresh and delicious! They did not skimp on toppings and my only downside was that I didn’t get a bigger pizza. If in the area, definitely stop by. Great food and great service.

The pepperoni pizza was excellent. Thin and crispy and would definitely order again. The meatball Parm sub was good but wish I had more pizza instead. Very busy with lots of pies going out the door! Will definitely return again on my next trip to Lake George!!

Shared a medium meat lovers with extra sauce. That is all we ate. Plenty for 2 people. Cooked too perfection. A delicate, crunchy crust with a good bite and flavor. Not over loaded with toppings. A really good pie at an appropriate price.

This place knows how to make real pizza and fantastic pizza! Legit! This place can hold its own against any downstate NYC based pizzeria. You cannot find anything like this in the area! The Lake George location makes amazing tasting and 100% legit pizza that’s perfectly cooked, with the perfect amount of crust. Take it from a former NYC resident that if your looking for real and legit pizza in Lake George that this is the place to go to and also worth a drive from anywhere else if you want fantastic pizza!

I cannot tell you enough how disappointing our dinner from pizza jerks was. We come up to lake George every year and this use to be our go to spot but the service and quality has gotten terrible. We ordered a pizza and buffalo knots. I use to love their buffalo knots, these were terrible, in fact I called to tell them that they got the order wrong because these looked like old garlic knots with no sauce. They called me back to tell me they were buffalo knots and that’s how they have been making them for the last year. PLEASE.if you’re going to sell buffalo knots then put some actual buffalo sauce on them. Being cheap doesn’t get you anywhere. One pizza and 2 orders of un buffalo knots was 40 dollars, and the pizza was terrible too. Sorry Pizza jerks we are done.

I was recommended this spot and I have to admit, it was better than Capri’s, which I have ALWAYS gone to for pizza. I found the pizza to taste like Papa Gino’s a bit and I was ok with that because I like PG’s pizza. I would definitely get my pizza from there. The employees were really friendly and I always give that a lot of weight.

Alif Cafe on the Lake George Beach is a popular spot that offers rolled ice cream, making it a unique find in the area. While some visitors find the prices to be on the higher side, many appreciate the friendly service provided by staff members like Shah.
Excellent Kashmiri chai 💯 We were passing through Lake George and found this little gem right on the boardwalk! Saw the reviews and had to try the Kashmiri chai. I loved the iced chai and my niece loved the Nutella rolled ice cream. People were really chill, even met the owner - he was super nice and welcoming.. apparently he is the chef behind the Chai Guy TikTok!! Definitely will come back next time in town

Stick with the rolled ice cream, I tried the Forest Berry Smoothie (plain, basic, frozen Walmart brand berries and only skim milk avaliable) but my friend got the cookies and crème ice cream 🍦🍫 delish! Felt bad for staff they had no WiFi or change so thankfully we had cash.

Place is very busy. Food taste is okay and prices are too high for portions. They definitely need to work on samosas other was chaat and rice was okay. Tea was gud too. The rolled ice cream was good.

I wasn’t planning on leaving a review, but due to my experience I feel the need to share. First off, I asked the girl working what the difference is between the chai options. She didn’t really seem to know much about it and said “I don’t know, I don’t drink it.” Not the best way to sell beverages. Secondly, my dad wanted regular hot coffee and the worker was unsure whether or not it was available… How she didn’t know if basic drip coffee is available is beyond me. The coffee didn’t seem fresh and was very light. Lastly, this is the only reason I’m writing this review… I got a HOT masala chai, she overfilled the cup so much and didn’t even close the lid properly. The boiling hot chai ended up spilling all over my hand, leaving a burn mark. I was expecting at least a 1/4 of the drink to be gone due to the spill, but it was still relatively full. If you can’t do your job properly and don’t care about the safety of your customers you shouldn’t be working in a customer service industry. Very disappointed and will not be returning. Not quite sure who the owner is hiring, but it seems like they don’t give it much thought and don’t care how customers are treated.

When you come out of Minne Ha Ha Cruises you crave about hot Chai or coffee and than you say Chai bar nothing gets better. Prices are bit higher side. Ordered the masala tea which was good for the location. It also has other other desi items for your craving. 😊 Clean and good staff, personal messages all over the place, you can even write yours if you find some space… parking as usual $2 fir an hour…

This place was very nice. Overpriced for what you get - - - the portions weren't the best sized. It's definitely in a tourist trap part of Lake George - all about the tourism. The day we went was a sunday afternoon after the steamboat tour on Lake George. We got rolled ice cream - which was amazing. The guy who did our ice cream was Shah - i believe - very friendly, very personable. engaged our kids in conversation. The rolled ice cream portion of the store was busy but they kept the line moving. pricing is on par for what you're getting - the novelty of ice cream rolled out in front of you. we also ordered a strawberry/banana lassi (smoothie) and a mango lassi. the strawberry one tasted like something i would make at home - but mine was better. the mango was warm when it came out - no chill to it at all!!! we also had chicken stuffed paratha, which was AMAZING!!! those 3 items were around $24 --- i mean, the value wasn't really there but hey you're on vacation, in a tourist trap... staff was definitely friendly and although service on the food side was quite slow and inefficient, it's worth a visit..

Omg!!! Super relaxed environment. I love the way they treat you like a family. We tried Kashmiri iced tea and fell in love with this place. Visited next day for another dose of iced tea and ended up ordering cheese paratha and masala fries… so damn delicious!!! Will definitely recommend and revisit any chance we get.

Nestled along State Route 9, Spice Gyro & Kabob is a hidden gem for lovers of Mediterranean, Greek, and Middle Eastern cuisine. This charming eatery offers a delightful array of dishes that are sure to impress both newcomers and seasoned gyro enthusiasts alike. Open for lunch and dinner, it’s the perfect spot to indulge in flavorful meals after a day of exploring Lake George.
Spice Gyro and Kebab in Lake George is a must-try! We ordered the chicken and lamb seekh kebabs, both bursting with delicious spices. The rice was fluffy, and the fresh salad provided a nice crunch. We also enjoyed a refreshing mango lassi that perfectly complemented our meal. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made our quick stop even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic kebabs!

June 2025: Surprisingly, the salads are delicious. I had to visit two days in a row. The lamb and chicken salad over rice was served with two types of olives, fresh lemon wedge, a pickle, and fresh tomatoes. Enjoy!
Jesse F — Google review
Truly impressed! The food was outstanding from start to finish. We started with some tasty appetizers that set the tone for the meal. The gyro was juicy and packed with flavor, the hummus was creamy and fresh, and the salad was crisp and refreshing. The chicken wings were perfectly seasoned, and every bite hit the spot. To top it off, the mango lassi was rich and smooth, and the boba tea was a fun, refreshing surprise—really nice to see that on the menu! Great portions, quick service, and amazing flavors throughout. Highly recommended for Mediterranean food lovers!

First, day I ate their combo gyro over rich. It was so good. I went back next day and tried their kofta kebab platter & curry lamb. Make sure to tell them your level of spice tolerance. It was so delicious one of my best koftas I’ve ever had. So sad I live 7 hr away from this place. Otherwise I would have tried their other food options as well. Although, food is bit pricey for the location I highly recommend this place. They have three floors of seating space that I loved well decor and clean.

I was actually gifted a gyro from this restaurant earlier today. It was so good, tasty, and amazing. I’ve never tasted a gyro like that. The gentleman told me it was his family’s business and I love the comforting feeling he was giving off! Go visit this restaurant and promote it as much as you can!

Flavourful and tasty halal food options available along with nice indoor/ outdoor sitting arrangements.
Andalib C — Google review
Nice area for the restaurant. The food was yummy. The drinks were ok could be better. It was 6 of us. There is a lot of seating options. However the top deck could use some work as the view is beautiful in the evening and people do want to sit up there but it’s not the best seating arrangements and the look and condition isn’t the best. The indoor looked really nice. There is no elevator to the top only stairs. We had chicken and lamb over rice. The kids had pizza. We spent over $100 for all 6 of us.

We had such a fantastic experience with Tubby Tubes River Co.! The whole trip was well-organized, safe, and a lot of fun. A special shoutout to our guides, Kira and Izzy who were super! Both were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time on the water. Their energy and professionalism really stood out and made the day extra enjoyable. I highly recommend Tubby Tubes to anyone looking for a fun and memorable river adventure. We’ll definitely be coming back when in the area again… if I had to complain about something, I just wish the trip was a little bit longer 😎

Perfect afternoon on the water with Tubby Tubes! The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and funny! They made sure everyone was safe and having a good time. We really enjoyed tubing with Tubby Tubes ! Very clean and organized! They thought of everything! Bathrooms, snacks and changing facilities on site. It was a great way to spend a few hours relaxing. Would highly recommend and next time we are in Lake George would definitely do it again! Make sure you bring a water proof cell phone case. Zach our tour guide, Erin our bus driver and Laney were friendly and kind!

Communication was organized and efficient leading up to our tubing time. When we arrived the check in process was easy. Staff was very friendly and down to earth. Dawn our bus rider was amazing. The river was gorgeous, tubing was so much fun! There were plenty of guides to ensure everything went as it should. We were in a big group and 3 of us feel behind. One of the guides had us hold on to her kayak and got us to our group. The tubing portion was about 2 miles and we didn’t want to get out. Awesome time!

At the Adirondack Adventure Center, you can experience thrilling zip line rides and navigate through wooden platforms in the treetop adventure park. For a more relaxing time, you can opt for a guided lazy river tubing experience with family and friends. The knowledgeable and professional guides ensure a safe and enjoyable trip down the river, providing interesting facts along the way. It's recommended to bring only essentials as cooler floats are available for beverages and snacks.
My girlfriend and I did the white water rafting and Gabe was an incredible instructor! The river had three sets of smaller rapids that are safe enough for kids and no one ever fell out of the raft. Very minimal paddling except when we hit the three rapids. The water was pretty dang cold but definitely refreshing. They have a photographer on site to take pictures at the end (that you can purchase). Thanks Gabe & Team—may your dry humor never die!

Had so much fun even tho the weather was not the best! It was pretty chilly but we had a great time! The trainees Luke and Bryce were awesome! They made sure we were safe while still having a great time! They joked with us and made us laugh. We will definitely be back. Hope to see the crew next year!

We had a wonderful time lazy floating down the river. Our guides were very nice, well experienced in the best route to float and what to avoid. We were grateful to have upgraded to the tubes with neck rests and cup holders. Will definitely go again in the future.

We had an absolutely amazing time with Sarah and Daniel. They worked really hard to keep us comfortable and safe. And when we had a ridiculous downpour, they got out of their kayaks and towed us down the river to try to get us out of the rain faster. Outstanding service. And they were both so friendly! We’re definitely going to do this again.

We did the whitewater rafting and lazy tubing with this company. I write to give high praise to their rafting division, especially to our guide, Gabe (the tubing was a bit slow for our taste, but that's no reflection on the company; when I booked I wasn't sure which my family would prefer and they overwhelmingly preferred the rafting). When we arrived, they took the time to make sure we were all matched with properly fitted and tightened life jackets, and explained how to test for a proper fit and warned of the dangers of slipping out. Once on the water, we all just had a ball the whole time. Gabe was warm and personable with a lovely sense of humor. We navigated several rapids safely while having the fun of the thrill. Silly me, I thought all of this was pretty standard with rafting. After we had such a good time, we booked another rafting trip elsewhere (not in NY) and it was nothing like AAC, from just tossing out thin life vests with no guidance, no guides on boats, no assistance from the guide in a separate kayak when falling out of a boat (even when a child fell out). I'm glad I'd incorporated what I'd learned from AAC in tightening her vest myself. I would absolutely return to AAC again and hope they will offer a longer rafting trip we can take in the future.

Had a great experience going down the Hudson River with tour guides Sarah and Jackson. Had a relaxing time, and the kids enjoyed being able to get into the water to swim for a bit.

We had the pleasure today of tubing down the Hudson River! Weather was gorgeous and itt was beautiful! But our guides Avery and Ethan were amazing! The river was very low so it took a little longer to get down river but Avery and Ethan went above and beyond to help everyone get down the river and while having a great time! My husband has very bad arthritis and they worked really hard for 3hrs to help him and everyone else get over rocks and people stuck. And to top it off as exhausted as I’m sure they were…..once we got back they immediately went on the next trip just to do it all over again. They did an amazing job today!! We will never forget this river trip and they helped contribute to that. That says a lot!! Thanks for a great memory!!

Miniature golf course
Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf in Lake George, NY is a popular family-friendly venue with an award-winning 18-hole mini-golf course. The pirate-themed setting features lush landscaping, sunken ships, and waterfalls for an immersive 18th-century adventure. Visitors can navigate the well-maintained course while avoiding hidden pirates to win the game. The facility is known for its cleanliness and excellent scenery, although some find the holes to be relatively easy.
Pirate’s Cove is a nicely designed, family-friendly miniature golf course. The course has great aesthetics with plenty of pirate paraphernalia and props. There’s a large, impressive waterfall on the course. Each hole has a unique objective and can get fairly challenging at times. There’s also plenty of trees and greenery, so the course can easily be played in the midday sun. Considering the high-end area, the course is reasonably priced. I really enjoyed playing at Pirate’s Cove, and I highly recommend this course for everyone.

Took my partner here for one of his birthday activities and we all had a blast! We did the 18-hole Blackbeard’s course and it was so fun. The initial holes were more creative and challenging, and then after that it kinda got easy. So I guess if you’re with kids, it’s perfect for that. Besides that, I loved the whole pirate theme and the attention to detail. Would deffo come back again for mini golfing!

We were fortunate to have the owner take us out. She and her first mate were great. Communicated well and by the time we were ready to go, we were prepared. Safety First BTW Lisa is the person in charge of the entire Para sailing organization in the world for safety. This was a fantastic ride. you slide ride out and way you go up. The views of St George lake and surrounding area were so beautiful. We top out at about 300 ft in the air. We were up about 10-12 min we think. We got to splash down in the water and then back on our way in. We were on the boat with 4 little girls and their Mom/Aunt. If they can do it then everyone should. Overall it was exhilarating. We recommend going with Parasailing Adventures. We will definitely be back.

Oh my goodness, the experience was so much fun. The crew on the boat was amazing, they were very friendly and talkative to all the customers! And the parasailing part of it was great! It was so relaxing up there and I had a great time on the dip!! Along side all this they gave us a camera to take a video with a go pro, and they even took pictures of us on the boat. They all turned out amazing! I personally loved the go pro, it’s a pretty great view up there and it’s nice to be able to show other people how it is! Overall it was a great experience and I loved it so much!

I appreciate family-run businesses and wanted to give this place a try, but unfortunately I cannot give it more than 1 star. As soon as we walked in, there was a long line of people waiting, which gave me hope that this place was good. When I looked around I noticed that half the tables were open. After waiting for exactly an hour to be seated, it took us another 30 minutes to get our order taken. After another 20 minutes the drinks came. The two lattes I ordered were tasty but cold. I also got an iced latte and a strawberry banana smoothie. The iced latte was extremely sweet to the point if was inedible, although the smoothie was delicious. After waiting for another 25 minutes, we got our food, which was French toast, a bagel with cream cheese, an egg and cheese burrito, blueberry pancakes with fruits, and scrambled eggs with a side of toast. Food came out looking very unappetizing and bland. No garnish on the plate whatsoever except for powdered sugar on the French toast. The French toast was four very small pieces of bread. Tasted mid and was not filling at all. The bagel came out on a different colored plate and was very average. The egg and cheese burrito was alright, but the tortilla was not fully cooked and the eggs were mid. The blueberry pancakes were decent and had some flavoring, but there were very few fruits on it. The scrambled eggs with toast looked very unappetizing and cold. After we finished the food, we got the check for $73. We paid and as we were leaving caught a glimpse of the menu. I did the math and they overcharged us about $10. We were only supposed to pay $63. Safe to say I am never coming back.

If I could give zero stars I totally would. Went for breakfast paid 90 dollars for not good food …. Order 1 scrambled egg and got charged 7.95 the “hash browns” were old half cut up French fries mixed with peppers and onions… service was rude .. would not recommend to me it’s a live and learn situation
Cynthia A — Google review
Food was terrible, hash browns were absolutely disgusting, wouldn't feed the food to my dog and on top of that was way over priced. The owner/manager was very rude and someone needs to tell him not to skip leg day..
Eric B — Google review
On a weekday, I came into this cafe w/ my minor child & my senior mom, we waited for exactly 6 mins standing while 90% of the indoor tables were empty. The waiter that seats people passed directly in front us 3 times, w/o acknowledging us or asking us to wait a moment (not a big deal, but I’m used to good customer service that maybe includes hello or nod). However, he did find time to tell my child to move out of the way & put his palm on her as she was standing in the hallway waiting, not to his liking. After he took an order, served another & was going to get the food for the next table=3rd time he passed, we asked if we could seat ourselves or if we would be seated soon-to this he replied “you will be seated when I seat you.” I was shocked, again, no good morning no I’m sorry for the wait, no I’ll be right with you, then when my mom asked if someone else Can seat us-a younger waiter said can’t you see that we are all busy, to which we were shocked because the restaurant was mostly empty, and that waiter was for outside where there were 2 people at 2 tables. & the older waiter that was supposed to seat us, after he was about to pass us a 4th time said: in fact I’m not going to seat you at all. We were not rude, in fact we didn’t even say anything when he told my child to move in a very rude manner and no excuse me-nothing, like if you were miserable then don’t come to work to take it out on customers haven’t said or done anything wrong. I said: sorry you’re telling us to leave because we asked to be seated, and he said yes we don’t have to serve you, at this point the blonde lady in the photos said yeah we don’t have to serve you if you don’t want to wait - so you can go someone else if you’re impatient and you can’t wait to be seated, we were the only ones there waiting and being ignored. I said OK & I said I will leave a review on yelp and proceeded to take a picture as I was leaving per their request (as my 70 yr old mom raised her voice saying they have no right to tell us to leave for asking to be seated). I have live photos which can attest to this, the blond then said you’re threatening me - I guess she meant by taking a photo, I explained to her first of all I’m a former prosecutor and an attorney & further, my photos are live so you can’t say I threatened you by taking a photograph. Anyway, that’s my review I don’t know if anyone else had similar experiences, but I never used bad language or was rude even after my child was told to move and after he said I will seat you when I seat you. Overall, be aware of possible discrimination, because although the adults in my party were Caucasian, my daughter was black and she was the one who was told to move out of the way like a dog instead of a child or a human being w/ an excuse me or please or thank you, I very rarely if ever I have written a restaurant review about service, but I sensed the older male waiter was angry from the moment he spoke to my daughter like that and took offense that my 70-year-old mother really wanted to sit. So his response after being so rude to a child is not surprising-which exactly is why I was not rude & extra respectful asking about the seating situation (being extra careful to his attitude) but it clearly backfired because they added disrespect to rudeness to people that were willing to seat themselves & just inquired after already being ignored & misspoken to. After reading the other 1 star reviews I am not surprised that other people specifically wrote about the nasty rudeness of the owner at the counter, she is pathetic & miserable & needs to find a new line of business - it’s unacceptable to treat customers *Repeatedly* in the same manner, the other customer in these reviews was exactly right- this place was the only one empty while all the others had lines extending across the whole sidewalk, which is why we walked in here, and we learned our lesson quickly as to why. We went five minutes down the road to lone bull where even the teenagers had immaculate customer service skills, The line was huge outside & yet we sat in 3 min.

I have been enthusiastic supporters of The Long Horn Restaurant & Pub for a considerable time! It is suitable for all ages and the cuisine is exceptional, far beyond what one would expect from a typical bar menu. Whether you're seeking a family-friendly lunch or dinner, or an evening out with friends, this establishment caters to both. I highly recommend making reservations during the summer or Rodeo season as it can get quite busy.
Great food. Tremendous atmosphere. We're doing a US trip of several weeks. Coming from Europe this is what you want! We had a Longhorn burger and a Sicily pizza. Both were great! The waitress was very friendly and quick. Unfortunately we couldn't wait for the live music 😭 Hope once we will be back here!

Great place to eat. Lots of options and good prices. Adirondack log style inside with a bar and pool table. Good atmosphere and also family friendly. They have regular tables and high tops. The French fries and chips were homemade and so good. All of our sandwiches were great. We’d go back.

Swung by after a day of river tubing and was pleasantly surprised. We got there just as the night shift was arriving and the band was setting up; so there was a bit of an expected wait for service. The atmosphere reminded me a lot of brighter "Merlotte's Bar and Grill" from True Blood, and the room temperature was a little warm because we were seated near the entrance. We waited maybe 20 minutes before the waiter came -- again, this was to be expected -- and the girl who sat us gave us a heads up when we arrived. But once the waiter took our drink and food order, things sped up quite a bit. Our drinks arrived quickly and he was on top of ensuring we always had full glasses. He made some great menu suggestions and we loved everything. I had the Mushroom Swiss burger with a side of fries, and the food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The kids loved their meals as well and we would definitely come back when we're in the area.

I bought my Granddaughters and Babysitter to dinner last night and everything was perfect! The owner came out to see the girls and give them cookies and the waiter was absolutely the best too. The girls had such a fun time and even ate everything! Great place, great fun atmosphere. We will be back for dinner again soon!

It is truly an American place. And the first time ever I didn’t feel welcome by a waitress. Probably because we are not Americans.

I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it is-I was pleasantly surprised. I've been to the Long Horn twice now, and both times the food has been consistently good. The service can take awhile if the bar is busy - we sat in the dining room-but it's worth the wait. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. Parking can be a little annoying as the front of the restaurant sits on a blind corner, but with a little patience, you'll be okay.

An great bar food experience. The hot mess was absolutely delicious. The homemade cheese cakes are remenicint of Creole cheesecake. Incredibly soft and creamy. Very delicious. The beer selection is pretty good and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was that of a cozy northern bar.

Diner
Prospect Mountain Diner is a classic American diner that reopened in 2008 after a fire. Housed in a 1950s Silk City Diner structure, it offers traditional breakfast options like omelets, pancakes, and waffles. The diner also serves lunch and dinner with dishes such as meatloaf, fried egg sandwiches, and spaghetti with meatballs. Its retro atmosphere features counter stools and table jukeboxes, providing a welcoming charm to both locals and visitors.
It’s like stepping back in time. I’ve been going through Lake George since I was a child 50+ years ago and never stopped here because it was either closed or just too crowded. Worked out just right today, Colleen the waitress greeted me as I walked through the door Could not have been nicer and more patient with my thousand questions and she was a very efficient waitress, and Adirondack slam was just top notch

We stopped by this diner for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. The veggie omelet was fresh and flavorful, and the pancakes were fluffy and satisfying—definitely a highlight of the meal. The juice cups for kids were a thoughtful touch, and we appreciated that they provided a high chair, which made things easier for our little ones. Our main server was friendly and attentive, and the younger staff was decent, though they could work on being a bit more warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the experience was dampened when one staff member informed us that the kids’ cheese pizza was no longer available. The way it was communicated came off as rude and dismissive, which was disappointing, especially in a family-friendly setting. Overall, good food and mostly decent service, but the staff’s attitude in situations like this makes a big difference—a little kindness goes a long way.

I have driven by for so many years. Today I decided to stop. It's a charming page from yesteryear. Service was great, and the food was super. I ordered the fried haddock sandwich and could only manage half. French friens could have been a bit crispier. I'm not sure if they serve dessert, my waiter brought the check over before asking if I'd be interested. Which was too bad.

Loved it! We bought the pure Maple syrup as little extra touch 😋 the breakfast was spectacular! Awesome waitress on a very busy weekend. Definitely going back when we visit. The street right next to the restaurant takes you to Prospect Mountains. Don't miss that!

Wow! What a great experience at this retro diner. The food was good, and the service was friendly and fast. Excellent value for the price. I highly recommend anyone visiting Lake George to stop by this diner for breakfast!

This diner was a huge rip off. The service was extremely slow. We never were able to get refills on drinks. The food was mediocre at best and to top it all off, we got the bill and were shocked. For the kids size juice, they charged us $5 alone. Each of the other kids got a milk and a lemonade which were just under that. When I asked about the price of the juice, the waiter told me it is actually a good deal because we get more than an adult size juice.

Another stop and another great surprise. We had ear marked a place closer to the house but had decide to travel on as we went to Ausable. We found this place in lake George and we were not disappointed. We had a variety of items including eggs with ham and toast, hash and eggs, waffles and pancake. The pancakes were the biggest surprise to me as they had some cornmeal in there which made me think of good ol Johnny cakes. I had the chocolate chip pancakes and they were delicious. All of our food was delicious in fact. Our waitress Sara was very nice and attentive to us and we will be stopping again when we come back to the area. If you are looking for a quality breakfast that is not frilly but delicious, then you know where to go. Tell em Vin Vin sent you. I'm tryna see something. Deuecs, Vin Vin

We stopped at Prospect Mountain Diner for breakfast on Monday, August 11th, around 9 AM. We were a party of six (3 adults and 3 children) and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. The food was definitely worth the wait! It was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. We would highly recommend this diner for the food alone. The only real issue we noticed was with the staff seeming a bit disorganized. When we arrived, we asked the host outside for the first available table, but it seemed like there was a lack of communication with the host inside. There were at least two open tables we could have been seated at inside before we were finally seated outside. It also looked like there was some confusion among the waitstaff and food runners about which food went to which table. Despite these small hiccups with the service, the good food and fair prices made it a worthwhile visit. We would definitely come back for the food and hope the staff can get on the same page!
