We've had such an amazing experience at Wake Island Waterpark! We mainly go for the wakeboarding, but the inflatable side is a blast too! I started going mid-season last year with my 9-year-old son, and we were instantly hooked. We got season passes and found ourselves going multiple times a week. This year, my 7-year-old joined in, and now all three of us have passes and the boys are doing wakeboard. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always a great vibe. The food is great, the park is well-run, and the energy here is just awesome. I can't say enough good things about the experience. I'm so grateful to have found a place where I can share this hobby with my boys and watch them grow in confidence and skill while having fun. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for an active, family-friendly environment with great people and great times.
Kids had a blast, adults had relaxation! We rented a cabana as a party of 8, it was great to have shade & chairs. You can also bring your own beach tents/chairs/etc. Our children had a great time throughout the park, ages ranging from 7-15 without a single complaint of “I’m bored”! The food options were decent, better than that of a commercial Waterpark, and better priced. We look forward to visiting again next year.
We had so much fun! My sister and I took our kids, (9,10,11,12) we all had a great day! We went on a Thursday, and even though it was somewhat busy, we had no problem finding a spot to set up. Definitely recommend bringing a pop-up or umbrellas! We used a wagon to pack all our things in to make the walk in easy. No food is allowed, but you are able to bring in refillable water bottles. Food is pricy, so eat before you come. ($9 for 1 slice of pizza!) We also waited an hour after opening, and there was no line or wait to get in. Everyone is required to wear a life jacket in the water, and there are lots of lifeguards and staff around, which makes us feel good about the kids running around on all the obstacles and things without us. Overall, we loved it! And will be back!
So much fun! If sunglasses are a must, make sure you have a strap. And eye drops. That water burns, but it's worth it. Food was good and moderately priced. A great family day for sure!
Me and a group of friends spent last weekend afternoon at Wake Island and, honestly, it was a blast. The place was packed, but the food line moved fast. Big shoutout to the island fries and burger, it was DELICIOUS!. We rented a private cabana and just hung out all day. We did the zip line and floating “Adventure Park” obstacle course, which was fun and a legit workout. I also took the beginner wakeboard class with Jack—he was super chill, knew his stuff, and made it way less intimidating. 10/10 would go again.
This was our first time visiting Wake Island on Labor Day, and it won’t be our last! Booking online and completing the waivers was quick and easy. The facility was clean and well-kept, and every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Lifeguards were engaged and watchful, which made us feel safe. The Aqua Park was the highlight—so much fun for both kids and adults! The variety of obstacles was just right: challenging enough to give us laughs and a workout, but still playful and enjoyable for all ages. Our kids (8 and 10) could have played for hours. Food and drinks were good, though a little pricey since outside food isn’t allowed. Still, the experience felt worth it, and we’d happily come back again—especially for a special event or outing with close friends.
We had such a great time. I took my son a decade ago and it was fun to see how much its grown! We got a cabana, that was great, they set it up and the chairs and table, we were on the private beach. They have a staff member there to watch over things and a lifegaurd. The kids loved the friendly catfish. My 4 and 7 year old gransons lived it. With all the lifeguard and madatory life jackets I was able to relax. Years ago everything was paid for separately now everything was included. Getting food was easy and so good! We scanned the QR code and preordered. Thank you to your 5 star staff it was a fantatic day!
We love going early in the week to beat the crowds, it has been a super fun addition to our summer schedule for my middle school kids. So glad to found this wonderful local spot.
