Awesome find-in a small town pop < 200 I think, accident ended up staying hanging around for four hours, Then went looking for other telephone museums, and there’s one in south Georgia also
This was an unexpected and unplanned little gem in rural Missouri. The open door, no staff, abandoned feel of the museum I think contributes to the allure and makes for a memory that you never anticipated making. I think I enjoyed it more than my wife, but hey, I'm kind of a nerd. They have an old pen and paper guestbook which is neat to peak into and see where previous guests came from. Plenty of interesting phones from a bygone era. Restrooms around back on the side street.
This little museum is actually really cool. We came here meeting family halfway between Pleasant Hill and Columbia late last year. Charming little town.
Cool little telephone museum! We randomly stumbled across it. No one was there but the door was open. Small town charm!
Fascinating little museum in the tiny town of Blackwater, MO. No staff, apparently. Some neat old equipment (switchboards, exchanges, telephones, etc.).
The town was really cute, but the musuem was closed. I tried calling and nobody answered.

Enduring, historic theater drawing actors from around the country for its varied productions.

We saw the Million Dollar Quartet here last summer and camped close by. All I can say, is that it was AMAZING!! The Theatre is very welcoming and well laid out. Easily accessible in the town of Arrow Rock. I would say, you cannot got to Arrow Rock without going to this theater. I look forward to returning to the area and seeing another show!
We had a great afternoon taking in the production of Million Dollar Quartet featuring Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins! It was a wonderful play in the intimate setting of the Lyceum Theater. The actors and actresses were top notch and the views were great from our seats. We sat in the back row with our children just in case we needed to leave early but they really enjoyed the show as well! Arrow Rock is a State Historic location for the State of Missouri and the theater is a wonderful place to take in the arts just about 35 minutes west of Columbia, Mo.
We just saw Grumpy Old Men the musical. It was delightful. A lot of fun, a little slow at the beginning, but you got caught up into it and it really ended strong!!!
We make a yearly pilgrimage to see an always wonderful, high quality play and get a great meal. Best production of A Christmas Carol I have ever seen! We will be back in the summer, some more great shows coming up! Every show we see at The Lyceum is stellar, never disappoints! We went twice this year! The Adams Family and Bright Star, both enchanting and flawless.
Great theater. Saw a production of 42nd St. Fantastic show.
The performance of Jersey Boys was absolutely amazing today! So much talent and not a bad seat in the house. This is my second time at the Lyceum and it won’t be the last. I love this theater!
I loved seeing the Addam’s Family at the Lyceum. It is a quaint old church, but it is bigger on the inside! The staff do a great job of managing the crowd and the house was packed. The performance was brilliant, engaging, funny, and well cast. There are drinks available at the concession stand (Beer, Wine, soda, water). The bathrooms are clean. There is no official parking lot. Just pull off the side of the road somewhere in town and walk. Very few handicap spots, so if you will need this accommodation get there early.
A wonderful gem. How improbable that a top shelf summer theatre season goes on in a tiny town hours from any bigger city. But yet, here it is. A great experience and great theatre. We saw 42nd Street on Fathers’ Day. First class production. First class performances. My gratitude goes out to the many volunteers and behind-the-scenes people who make this happen year after year!
