I love this place. 😀 I will add more videos once I've mastered the surf. Fun Tube Slide! Beautiful equipment in the gym. Layout was good. Fun times!
The Eastlink Centre in Grande Prairie is an amazing facility. The pool area is perfect for both families and serious swimmers, with plenty of space, waterslides, and a relaxing lazy river. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and never feels overcrowded. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the entire building is kept in great condition. Whether you’re going for a workout, a swim, or just some family fun, Eastlink has it all. It’s one of the best fitness and recreation centers in the area—highly recommended.
Above the arena, the sun plays its game… And fortune won’t smile on each face in the fight. You send out your pupils to battle and flame— That look in your eyes stays forever in sight. You gave no lectures, no scolding or blame, Yet each of us felt we belonged in your soul. In silence, your eyes sometimes spoke all the same— Of joy, or of sorrow you couldn’t control. You gave all your strength, through the hardest of days, Still dreaming of futures you hoped would arise. You’re the builder of triumphs, the spark in our blaze, The one who gave wings to our hopes and our tries. One day we’ll move on—some as champs, some unknown, And you will begin with new faces once more. You know what it takes to bring greatness full-grown— May others see now what we've long seen before. Chorus: Who could forget, with heart so true, The one who led us all the way, Who saw the best, and pulled us through, Who shaped the masters of today.
Good complex. New swimming pool. The steam room is excellent, with plenty of seating. The sauna is also not bad, but in my opinion, it lacks heat. Overall, I recommend this complex
Great place to enjoy with the family. I recommend it. You have to forget the world will be there? It is very nice, good attention, good food,
The facility is excellent when it's accessible. While I understand facility maintenance is higher in priority, this work should be completed after hours. I pay for a membership and municipal taxes so that we can use the amenities but I'm finding the closures of the field house, fitness centre and pool during operating hours are very inconvenient and frustrating.
Just a Gramma looking for things for my 2 grandkids,, ages 9 and 8, to do during teachers strike , they loved it .
The sauna was HOT. I haven’t sweat like that in years and it felt amazing! I’ve been a member here, on and off, for 10 years. It always draws me back, even after moving to the opposite end of the City, for the value and variety of options provided with membership. I mostly use the weight room or concourse but sometimes will meet up with family in the pool after “me time” in the gym. Design Works Centre public skates are included in our membership so I’ll be checking those out more this year ⛸️

Nice park to visit with your family and friends. It extends throughout grande prairie. So it has long trails to walk. Also, each part of the park looks different from each other. Nice sceneries. A lot of photographers, spots. It has a small park for kids to play at the downtown side. There's an outdoor swimming pool which is open only during summer. St. Joseph Church in Grande Prairie is nearby. a small stream is flowing through the park. It's a must visit place in Grande Prairie. It will take at least half a day to enjoy the place. Better bring food or be prepared to cook. Clean surroundings. Fresh air. pleasant to eyes. thanks.😉
In my opinion this place has everything. Lots of trails, mini golf, nice museum, water slide, basketball/tennis court, skate park and it’s walkable to restaurants and coffee shops.
This park is the gem of grand prairie. So much stuff to do. Walking paths, museum, outdoor aquatic center, splash park for kids and dogs to cool off. Great place.
Such a beautiful park 🧡💛🤍 Perfect spot for a walk with my pup 🐶 Had the most relaxing time yesterday just chilling on a bench.
Such a beautiful park. Lots to do here in the summer. There is a little water park, tennis courts, and nice walking trails. They also hold the folk festival here and that's always a blast. It is very well maintained and clean and I enjoy visiting the park whenever I can.
The splash park is great. However, my grandson got hurt by a boy riding a scooter inside the water park instead of riding in the skate park. The skate park is only 10 meters away. My grandson was bleeding from his feet and his head. The mother of the young boy watched him continue to ride his scooter in the splash park. Her excuse was that he was having fun. I suggested that she act like a responsible adult and parent her child to be mindful of other children playing so he would not injury anyone else. My grandson wouldn't get into the water to play for the next 2 hours we were there. It was not a good experience for him. Parents please teach your children to be respectful of other peoole. Be better role models! Children allowed to do whatever they want will soon be adults that think they do whatever they want.
I love this place. It's beautiful with all the trees and all the different activities around. It's fun for everyone. Outdoor pool is great (they just need to add a hot tub 😂). They have a tennis court and a park and more. It's really a great place for all ages!
Beautiful stretch of nature with lots of winding Creek and ravine goodness. The shared bike and pedestrian paths are nicely maintained and there are constructed and natural look out points along the trails. The bridges are wide and well built and maintained. It's a perfect park to go for a run, walk, bike ride at any time of the day.

The Thursday steak special is amazing value! Staff at both the restaurant and casino are very friendly and inviting, which is great because most other casinos I've ever visited are rather depressing places. I had a good night out during my midweek business trip to GP, thanks to these guys!
The Casino offers good food on a special offer basis each day. But on a Wednesday they denied us special priced chicken wings. Be more customer sensitive dear Casino. We otherwise love you. You are a great place, great service too always!!!
I come here every chance I get when I’m in town all of the staff are super friendly and keep a very clean environment. Justine is one of the first employees I got to know more frequently. She is one hell of an excellent server! Her bubbly and kind personality really draws you in. She’s always smiling, and her service is on point! Definitely look forward to coming to this casino for such a personable experience! HIGHLY Recommend. And if you get Justine, you won’t be disappointed!
I enjoy coming here on the weekend, live bands with no entry fee or anything which is nice. Service is usually really good and the food at the restaurant is pretty good too, prices are acceptable. Only thing about the restaurant was they charge you for refills on your soft drinks which I found kind of expensive for the cost of a glass of soda.
Beware!! They rig their machines to go max bet even if you select 1cent. Happened to me and lost $50 in one spin. Then happened to my friend on a different machine. And 3 other machines after that. Luckily we caught it on the last 3. When brought to their attention… their camera continently doesn’t cover that area of the slots. If it did they would see me touch the screen on 1cent…And no I wasn’t drunk and didn’t bump it. Neither was my friend.
We love to go to listen to the live music on the weekends. We always have a great time. The bands are always good! Justine is always great with service! Food is good and a great atmosphere to be in! Always a great night out
Delaney was an absolute gem of a server, far exceeded my expectations for a casino. Steak and salad was also above what I was expecting. Will definitely be coming back, would definitely recommend getting her as a server. A1. (Will definitely tip)
I go to the GNC once a week and play slots. They pay terrible. I haven’t put money back in my bank account from there in 4-5 years. I even went so far as to call the AGLC to complain, thats how bad the Great Northern Casino slots are.I thought the mob days were done but I guess not. By your greed you are destroying families. No charity is worth that!!!!

I'm glad I took the trip to visit the park. I took the walking trial, and it was so relaxing, quite, and what an energy booster . Lots of camping areas available.
Had a great time camping at such a beautiful park, lots of birds and wildlife, lits for all ages to do.
Outdoor parks with playground equipment, beautiful walking trails, plenty of campground spaces and a gorgeous view of the lake- what's not to like? Certain buildings can be rented out to use for hosting party events as well and there are a decent number of picnic tables. I happened to be on a field trip and thr students really enjoyed exploring the great outdoors. The trails are very private so we did not disturb any campers. At lunch we were able to treat them to cooked hotdogs and hamburgers right there on-site! It's also worth mentioning that they have multiple outhouses scattered around the trails and while not fancy, they get the job done.
We stayed at the walk in tenting sites. They are large and right on the water, mostly private. The park is a bird sanctuary, so you can watch and listen to all kinds of birds. This adds a peaceful and serene touch to the place. The water is not suitable for swimming, but it makes a beautiful backdrop and you can watch birds and animals there.
I would love to give it a "4" for well maintained spaces, great private campsites, lovely small lake, hike and bike paths, free firewood, showers, clean amenities. Lots to do here!!!! But....be prepared to be surrounded by oversized RVs running generators all day!!! Past 11pm and well into 1 am as well. Maybe we just got unlucky with neighbours but judging by how many of them you can hear at a time....makes me think it's kinda a norm here. If there are rules like in other parks, they are not followed and no campground staff was visible to enforce any rules.
There are some nice day use areas as well as camping. The trails are a nice way to enjoy nature and see/hear all the birds. It appears to be fairly well maintained! It's a nice spot for a sunny day to be away from the city.
This place is gorgeous. It has a lot of campgrounds to accommodate tons of people but it also has 7 walk in tent spaces which are really nice. Plenty of fresh water and free showers and firewood. There are saskatoons everywhere! I saw a deer chowing down while driving through. The woman at the front office was super nice and friendly and the price is right too. Unlike another campground a little south from here that forces you to register online using a tablet and then charges an additional $10 fee for doing so. If you're in the area I highly recommend this place.
Lots to do here whether camping or day use. The lake is inviting, the trails are well managed and there's lots of spots to picnic.

Not sure if this listing is separate or attached to the Museum listing, but I always take visitors to Grande Prairie here and also enjoy going myself to see how the displays change. An amazing resource, and their website is a really cool way to look at the fonds and read articles on local history.
Went to research some of the history in Grande Prairie, the ladies there were super helpful and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and more! I highly suggest taking a look if you're interested in history or the origins of how Grande Prairie came to be. Only downside is that there is not much room to work, but it's free which makes it great.
Went here to access some archives for a genealogy I was doing. Very nice people there. Very knowledge and helpful. If you are looking for information on and history this is the place to go! Also an amazing museum, must see!!
Our archives are a hidden gem of the community. Packed with fantastic stories of our local history.

Definitely worth a stop when in Grande Prairie, a big city worthy art gallery right here. Beautiful pieces, even items made by local artists, within the same building. Art, figurines, pottery, Christmas tree ornaments. The owner Grant is very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Many admirable pieces and a great way to support local, Canadian artists. Grant is a sculptor himself. This spot is treasure to Grande Prairie.
Grant Berg Gallery is such a supportive and welcoming space! They always make you feel at home while fostering a true sense of community. The gallery goes above and beyond to celebrate local artists and bring people together through art. A true gem for our city — always community‑minded and inspiring!
I have had the privilege of knowing Grant Berg for many years, both as a friend and as an artist featured in his esteemed gallery. Grant, an accomplished artist himself, brings a deep understanding and genuine care for both the artists and their work. Grant Berg Gallery stands out as an Indigenous-owned gallery with a strong commitment to representing Indigenous artists. His involvement with Indigenous Tourism Alberta and Indigenous Tourism Canada underscores their dedication to promoting Indigenous culture and art. The gallery not only offers a stunning collection of artwork but also fosters a supportive and nurturing environment for artists. I highly recommend Grant Berg Gallery for anyone seeking to explore and appreciate exceptional art and service.
Grant Berg Gallery is amazing and is the only western province that houses original Jeff Dillon paintings as well as many other artist from the area and around Canada. He also has a wonderful Pottery selection.
Beautiful gallery with many amazing artists. Grant Berg is very knowledgeable and is happy to share his wealth of knowledge about local and national artists.
A really great gallery in Grande Prairie that has one of the best collections in Canada. A must visit to experience the amazing art work hosted in the gallery.
When you travel and experience new places, you tend to come across shops and stores that add character to the city or town you are visiting. Grant Berg Gallery does this for Grande Prairie. Full of incredible art that captures the bold wilderness of the Peace Country balanced with unique pieces from internationally recognized artists. Grant Berg Gallery is a must visit. Locally owned, strong community support and a deep knowledge of the pieces on display. If you are visiting, looking for a perfect piece of art or wanting to spend a few moments lost in a sculpture or painting, then I highly recommend Grant Berg Gallery.
We visited the gallery today and were really impressed. They had many great art pieces by local artists as well as pottery. The staff that were serving us were not only knowledgeable about the offerings but the artists as well. They maintained a very friendly and professional presence that was both welcoming and informative. When asked about the possibility of extra pieces to go with the pottery serving set, they knew the potter, her ability, and assured us it could be done. We will return and purchase from this top quality local business. Thank you.

LOVE the Sasquach walk through downstairs. Totally worth my time. Had us all smiling. Employees very nice. Thank you!
Very helpful staff, cool little gift shop too. I'm a bit bummed I missed the t-rex race though!! Next time!
Great place to spend your spare time and admission is FREE! Woot woot!
Very helpful staff and anoce place to sit snd plan. Good Internet as well.
found alot of cool things here, building was kept really clean. the display cases had a really cool organization to them. i got a free hard cover book about grande prairie that is really informative about the history. the staff was incredibly helpful.
This museum is quite pleasant! The layout of the place makes for a stimulating experience. For it being free admission, there was plenty to see. I only wished more people would visit it!
Great museum - for kids and adults. Includes geology, native culture and history, and current mining, farming, and oil industry sections. Gives a good overview of what the Peace Country is all about.

Nitehawk has been an awesome experience. I signed my son up for 4 lessons with Hayden & Jay and they have been absolutely fantastic. Both are great with kids and have taken him from falling over to being able to keep up with the family. The instructors, booking folks and ladies in the lounge have all honestly been wonderful. We’re lucky to have this facility!
Went there with a friend to give snowboarding a try not knowing the chair lift wasn’t operating after we already purchased lift tickets. Was about to take the loss and call it quits when we decided to ask an instructor for a quick crash course on how to use the t-bar and he went above and beyond to give us a full lesson on snowboarding. He joined us for a couple runs down the hill to make sure we could control our boards and safely get on the t-bar all the way back up the hill. I’d definitely go again it was a blast and super great people. 👍
Perfect for beginners, ski patrol knows their stuff too
Nitehawk was a great time, we did a lesson prior to hitting the hill and our instructor was great, I had pre booked so she also had all of our gear ready to roll, once the 1 hour lesson was complete my son and I enjoyed 5 hrs on the hill, friendly staff, clean ski areas & plenty of options to avoid the crowds on the hill made for a great 1st time. Also made a trip to the concession and found the food to be reasonably priced and good portions, good experience overall!
Spring break is here and we have a lift pass voucher that expires April 25th, 2025. So sad to find out that you are closed already. We were really excited to go tubing over the spring break. Possibly please mark your vouchers good to end of season, so there is no false hope of tubing in April. Thank you.
Dalen was the absolute best instructor! My son was so comfortable with him, and he treated him with such kindness. My son gained so much more confidence on his skis thanks to his help. Highly recommend anyone take lessons with him!
We have been here a few times now and our experiences have been great. Staff have all been nice. Fees are good.
Perfect place in GP to do skiing or snowboarding. 37 dollars for the lift pass and renting option also available.

The theatre performance and actors were excellent. Wayne Ayling did a great job directing this comedy…our family drove up from Edmonton & Spruce Grove to enjoy it. Cheers to all!
Went to the production of Grease tonight. The show was absolutely amazing! One of the best live shows we have seen period! A must see!!
Our first time at the theatre and it definitely won't be our last! Land and Cecil 2 comedy tour was so worth it! Amazing service, the cutest hangout lounge and intimate seating. We had balcony seats and loved how we felt like we were front a centre! The acoustics and lighting were great and price of snacks very reasonable. We can't wait to see other performances here!
Grande Prairie Live Theatre never disappoints! The staff are always amazing — friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. The performances are top-notch, and it’s such a great space to enjoy local talent. A true gem in the community!
Excellent venue! Incredible time expended by so many volunteers. Cozy. Familial. Brilliant performances!
Nice atmosphere and great place to go for shows needing a smaller venue.
I love this place, I love the feel of it, and the people who run it are very nice. As of right now I’m apart of the upcoming Robinhood school play and I really enjoy the theatre and working with the people and I’m glad to be apart of the community :)
We had a great time here with some friends. This is a more "home town amature live theatre" which we fully expected. The lines/comedy was all delivered well and you could really tell the actors were having a good time. We had their drink of the night and found them a touch expensive on top of the ticket price, something was also not quite right with the ratio in our drinks as they tasted heavily of one alcohol. All in all I would definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone thinking about going.

I went to Specsavers and Stephanie was very helpful. She was able to work with us to get what we needed in a time crunch. This place has excellent service.
So we visited GP from BC and had our little Maltese pup with us. Called the Mall customer support and asked about Dog accompaniment, and they flatly refused. That was a disappointment. It was really sunny and hot. Fortunately, we were in Tesla and could leave our little furry guy with 20Deg C dogmode, but we weren’t happy with the “no-pet friendly” GP Mall. Nothing special about the Mall. Just like any other mall anywhere in the world, and NOT really a must-visit mall but could be skipped easily and focus on better shopping centres in GP. Not interested in coming back here again.
A good mall with a good selection of stores and a nice food court.
At Prairie Mall in Grande Prairie, there is something for everyone. Explore a wide range of stores, from high-end to budget-friendly options. The food court offers a global culinary adventure, perfect for families craving variety. Clean facilities, ample parking, and top-notch security make for a worry-free shopping experience. Adding more entertainment options could elevate the fun factor even more. Overall, Prairie Mall is a great spot to shop, dine, and hang out with loved ones.
Very nice shopping mall, It seems pretty clean and safe. I wish the food court would have more options but we had new york fries poutine it was amazing
What mall closes at 6pm?! I couldn’t believe it when the announcement came over the intercom at Marshalls the store was closing. Retailers do realize most people WORK right and can’t go to the mall during the day?! So very strange to have a mall of that size close so early.
Weed store open to mall public. Shouldn’t be in the mall. Windows should not be open to all ages…
The mall is nice and clean. But some of the staff in the stores I think woke up on the wrong side

My son and I have been coming to the Art Gallery since he was born. The curator does an absolutely amazing job of making the space accessible to everyone. We always feel welcome; sometimes when your a mom with a little human spaces with “breakables” seem out of reach and not welcoming. It’s the opposite here. The green room upstairs allows children to create their own work of mirroring the work displayed in the gallery. It’s honestly just a fantastic FREE space. I’m very thankful for it & the folks who run it as well as the local businesses who sponsor it.
I absolutely love this Gallery! Being an artist myself, every time I come to Grande Prairie, I must visit this gallery. The building, the selection of artists and even the craft room, - the gallery never disappoints! Thank you for this wonderful place ✨
There is no finer public art gallery space in Alberta. Brilliant shows, classes for the public, marvellous drop in space for kids (and adults) exploring art.
Fully open to the public with spots to sit and appreciate the art again. Quite a variety of materials used and mixed media - a bit of everything for everyone. The gallery is over 2 floors with lots of open spaces.
Very expansive art gallery with many exhibits that are constantly changing. The rotation of the displays offers many local artists an opportunity to showcase their work, and its very interesting to see what they have each time I go there. Besides just having a large quantity of displays, there is also a large amount of variation and different media. The upstairs level(s) are elevator accessible and most exhibits are kid friendly. Very quiet and cool atmosphere
This "little-gallery-that-could" is a gem I always make time to visit when I come to GP. It consistently showcases thought provoking, timely and varied exhibits of modern artists. It is a beautiful, airy open place to be in. Check it out, it's free!!
The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is an amazing place where the works they have displayed give credit to the people who live there. Kudos to you all for bringing such artworks to those who continue to be inspired by the passion that is the Art Community of Grande Prairie.

Tent camped there on 7/6/2023. First, you have to book online, cell service in the campground isn't that great. Sites were big, showers were clean and nice. However quite a haul to go to a place to eat, went to Rycroft 42km/26mi.
We were completely alone in this park on a weekday and enjoyed the silence and nature. Great place for a family holiday.
**Had to come back and edit my review from last year. Very disappointed to visit Another Provincial park this summer on a long weekend for there to be NO FIREWOOD. The included firewood is part of what people are paying for at these parks. Not cool Alberta Parks. Beautiful spot! Fishing, trails, playground, day-use... Can't wait to camp here next month for Father's day! Unfortunately it's another place where people have decided to leave trash strewn about. Picked up abandoned take-out containers, empty cans, bits of plastic, and more. Please follow Leave No Trace. Take your garbage with you. Leave only footprints, take only pictures.
Nice trails for walking and biking. Well kept sites and decent beach with playground and sheltered picnic table areas.
I have been camping here for over 30 years. The park has went up and down over the years. This year I am sad to say that the playgrounds around the lake have been removed. Out of the multiple playgrounds there is only 1 left. It is still fun for kids as fishing is good, and it is paved for nice bike riding. There was lots of firewood which is included in the price. The showers were free to use. Power is now included in all the sites. I would still visit this local park, but hopefully some of the items are replaced like playgrounds and skating rink.
I loved this campground ! We could see the lake from my Spot and it was wonderful ! Unfortunately it was raining a lot and we had to leave but I will be back !!!! I loved the place !
Camped here in May 2019 with kids. We stayed in the A section along the lake in a power site. I believe the A,B and C loops all have power now. Very clean and quiet. Really nice small man made lake. Water was clear and clean at the time. Lots of fish being caught when we were there. Showers were out of service which was unfortunate. Parks Canada and conservation officers did daily and nightly checks to keep the yahoos in line.
6 km off the highway and paved to and in the campground. 30amp and 220v available at each site. Probably the most private sites I've seen. Family friendly playground by the beach and a few covered picnic tables. Fish cleaning stations by beach and by non gas powered boat launch. Well groomed gravel pads. Showers, outhouses, garbage bins , firewood and even a few life jackets available for use.

The museum was packed with goodies and they still had so much more they had not put out yet. It was great going with mom who was knowledgeable about the history and the families that grew up here. There are several buildings to go through including an old school house with many interesting things to see inside. Walking down memory lane for us and old antiques to the kids who have only seen some of this stuff in the movies. The staff are volunteers and super patient with all the questions and the time we took to saunter around. Make sure you plan ahead as the hours are not very long and they are not open every day. Definitely worth the stop if you are passing through or close by.
So Last week. On a Road trip with a buddy (like an adopted Uncle), I visited Spirit River. While he is visiting someone. I went in for a 2 hours visit on a Sunday to check out this museum. It's visit by donation. It's way bigger then I expected for a municipal musuem in a small town. Easily could of spent 4 hours. But 2 hours was fine. I think I visited all.
This museum is worth going to visit. So much to see. A few buildings so expect to spend some time there. Friendly volunteers running the museum. Will be back again.
I went in to look up some history. The lady was very knowledgeable, very friendly and was a tremendous help. They have so many history books of BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan that I can't wait to go there next summer. Wish they had a day open during the winter just for looking through the books.
It might not seem like much but the history here is amazing. Buildings where moved to the location and it's such a great feeling looking around. Although I'm not to good with listening the little short facts are nice and there are very nicely persevered items that are a must see. Would be great for a short school trip.
This museum is so cool. I have visited a few times over the years. Definitely worth while checking it out.
Wonderful place to experience. 10/10 recommend taking the time to see the abundance of historical items, buildings and ever expanding library.
