A wonderful library full of kind and helpful staff! There is a large underground parking beneath the building, with elevator & stair access to the library above. There is also public street parking around the building. The building is accessible for wheelchairs & walkers. The library has several self check-outs, as well as the welcome/check-out desks. There is a large information reception area in the back, near the children and teens section. The children's area is really nice with a big tree, various play areas, light tables, building blocks, toddler computers, puppet theatre, and a grocery stand. The shelves are lower, and there are also some bins with books easily accessible for little ones. They have great interactive kits with books & accessories that go with the stories in them (you can check them out, or use them on-site). They have express grab-bags with pre selected books for toddlers based on their ages - which are awesome for exploring something new with your little one at home. They have a copy room and some study pods. There is a cafe on the main floor for coffee & snacks. The second floor has large meeting rooms and couches. They have community boards with information and various activities they plan in the library throughout the month. You can place holds on books online and they will notify you when they are ready for pick up. The building has a drop off/return locations outside along the main street, in the underground parking, and right inside the library.
This place is beautiful, but the environment and staff is not. the food is overly priced and theres been multiple times where they forget that i ordered and i stand there for my whole lunch waiting, theres only 2 people working which is understandable but that doesn't change the fact of their prices and service. My friend ordered a bagel with extra cream cheese and they forgot her order and when she went up to tell them they made her repay to make one, ridiculous (the food is also not that good for the price it is; there food is uncooked or overcooked, their meat is disgusting, i asked for a chicken quesadilla and they gave me a wrap with cooked/cole vegetables in a salsa with questionable meat, no cheese which was 9 DOLLARS). Not to mention they dont take responsibility for the kids who come here at lunch and after school making scenes and being annoying in a place that’s supposed to be quiet and a good workplace environment. overall as much as this place is good theres many flaws that overcome the good that need to be taken accountability for.
Love the library! Staff is always friendly. They have great resources for kids. Lots of fun for toddlers and younger school aged children.
A wonderful venue with lots of places to sit quietly and write. They have a great Writer in Residence who you can make an appointment if you want help with your stories. You can have a tea and read or grab a light lunch. Across the aisle there is a full restaurant for a relaxing evening after all your hard writing.
Looks like there are about as many reviews for the coffee shop as there are for the library itself. The coffee shop is an extension of Vicky's Bistro so yes the prices are more then McDonald's and Tim Hortons. As for libraries these days, I'm afraid the days of the sleeping cat are gone! The reality here in the Park is that the library is often a beehive of activity for children, special needs folks, and high school students. If this is too much for some folks then I recommend the Stanley Milner downtown.
Fabulous place to take your kids and borrow books from. Staff will help you find what you want with a friendly smile. Ample parking available underground and two hour free parking available.
Holly was so helpful today while helping me print something off the computer. Thanks for your kindness and do-diligence 😊
My place of peace. Very quiet, good collection of books, magazines, latest movies. And staff always ready to help. Large underground parking lot with two hours free parking.

Excellent venue. The wonderful volunteers were very helpful. The show was great, and it looked like the seating afforded everyone a good view. Excellent handicapped parking and seating.
The kids had a blast here, and it was nice to walk around with the wife.
I would leave less than a 1 star review, but I can't. This is our third show within a year and we Uber here so we can have a drink and enjoy ourselves. But all you can order is wine and coolers. What a disappointment. They got rid of the manager in charge of the bar, Mike... and it went down hills from there. We have spent a lot of money and time at festival place and you will never see us again. Not everyone is a wine or cooler drinker. They ruined 3 good times of ours, and they will not ruin another. We won't be back. I guess our money isn't red wine enough for them.
Went to see Sloan play last night. Very small venue, but that made it more intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. Lovely staff, extremely friendly and helpful. You will have to wait in lines though.
The theater itself is lovely as are the grounds. My reason for only giving it 3 stars is the parking. Particularly when attending daytime functions. Students from the local highschool park in that lot and patrons who are attending are hard pressed to find parking. My least favourite venue as a result.
Lots of great performers at all stages of their careers. The theatre seats about 500 and staff are friendly. The bar and concession are now directly managed by the theatre and there's a selection of local and craft beverages available.
Great facility for music performances, art performances and plays. The location is wonderful. I have been a couple of times and the space is well designed, clean and well lit. Great place to see your favourite act if performing here.
A lovely building, well laid out. Seating gives you Apple room for comfort and space. Excellent production.

Found them on GroupOn and the value is top notch. The Winery is just outside of the city on a cute little cottage. The owners are super casual and easy to talk to. The cherry wine is superb! Highly recommend supporting this local business with great values. They even have animals on site! Excellent A++
Popped in on a spur-of-the-moment visit to this unique winery. It was a wet day and the winery was not busy. We received an invaluable lesson on non-grape wines and tasted 4 different offerings. As a grape wine lover I was not expecting too much, but was VERY impressed with the selections we tried. I have lived in Ontario and BC and have a passion for exploring wines of different provinces. These wines are exceptional alternatives to grape varieties and would be great additions to any table. I believe people should explore their local offerings and be open to new interpretations of classic takes on all kinds of products. If you live near, or are visiting the area, I really urge you to stop in and experience for yourself what Alberta fruits can be transformed into in the hands of the mad scientists at Barr Estate.
We stumbled upon this gem this morning on our backroad drive from Edmonton to Drumheller. Flower and Dozer, the two resident protectors of the property , barked to let Mr. Barr know we had arrived and he immediately welcomed us in for a tasting. Very personable and all 4 of their fruit wine offerings were fantastic. We came away with a raspberry and a Fortified Sour Cherry that were amazing! Great way to start the morning.
Amazing wine!!!! The tour is fantastic, rhubarb, strawberry rhubarb, raspberry and cherry wine. All amazing very educational tour. Highly recommend this place!!! Went for a bridal shower event.
This is one of the very few wineries in the area, and it’s definitely worth a visit. The owner was friendly and welcoming. I’d recommend stopping by if you’re in the area... a great way to enjoy a fun day and support a local business.
Nestled outside Sherwood Park, Barr Estate Winery is the kind of place you discover and want to tell and share with others, while secretly hoping it doesn’t get too popular and lose its hometown charm. Family-run and orchard-based, the winery crafts small-batch fruit wines from raspberries, rhubarb, strawberries, and cherries grown right on the farm. It’s a refreshing, unique twist on the typical wine tasting experience. The cozy setting adds to its appeal having chickens, sheep, and donkeys roaming the farm, and the property also doubles as a beautiful, affordable wedding venue with tree-lined ceremony spots, a large reception tent, and rustic touches. Amy led a delightful, private tasting with my husband and I. While the wines are carefully made and all tasty, The Jewel, a fortified sour cherry wine, is a standout favourite—rich, velvety, and seriously delicious. With its one-of-a-kind wines and warm hospitality, Barr Estate Winery is a visit you won’t soon forget!
4 different amazing tastes. Sour cherries 🍒 is the best.
The sour cherry wine is absolutely delicious!

This area is one of my favorite places to run. Very well maintained with a lot of different terrains. Beautiful scenery.
An odd little provincial park that has seen some neglect. Would be nice if it had a better developed trail system. Lots of old infrastructure that has seen better days. But it’s a nice place to take in some river valley views and enjoy Edmonton’s natural splendour!
If you like to Mountain Bike Science park boasts some stunning views, the trails rarely have people on them and some serious speed and technical trails, try squeeze the lemon xD. You can get to Rundle and Goldbar I'm guessing it's about 10 kms on pavement or gravel. Use your bell this part can be busier.
This is a really beautiful place to walk around, take a bike ride, or picnic with the family. There is plenty of parking on-site and several paved walking & bike paths. Its our favorite spot to take our yearly family photos in the fall - brilliant colors with all the trees changing.
The park is a run down and seems to be forgotten about, however for mounting biking, it has a fantastic variety of trails and courses. In addition, it has some fantastic vistas to watch the sun. If the some money was spent on improving the trail signage and formalizing the mountain bike course, this would a 5* all season playground .
It's a beautiful place, nice trails . You can see the city scape . Sunset is nice there but i think it's a hook up spot for sex. There was alot of in and out of car action there. So probably won't go back at night again. But it's wonderful during the day one side the city scape other side u can see the oil refinery
Great big area! There’s tons to explore and it’s so scenic and great for relaxing and taking pictures! It has a bridge that connects it to Rundle Park on the opposite side of the river. There’s free parking which is great. A little out of the way to get to but such a pretty area it’s worth it.
Really amazing spot for the middle of Sherwood Park and Edmonton, super nice, lots of trees, is great for biking! Also a ski hill is extremely close to it if you are in the mood for that, overall very nice place!

A quiet place for walking and hiking, and less popular that it will be less people around and keep distance. The trail path is well maintained, very wide and clean. It located by a drive way nearby, so you can still hear the traffic and trains. Nevertheless, overall it has great atmosphere to be. Another point, the entrance and sign is not very clear to see on the road when you drive pass.
Starts out nice but trails are unmarked and unmaintained .. eventually animal runs look like trails and you get lost. No signage to indicate anything. Be aware .. you might need a GPS to get back to the entrance.. almost broke a leg twice in that swampland.. otherwise .. it’s pretty
An okay-ish in and out trail. The first kilometer is wide and groomed; after that it's walking through a narrow singletrack path through bush. (Not that you can bike through that.) There is a beautiful wetlands area about a kilometer in. And it's secluded and not busy at all, which is nice. That said, it wasn't a particularly fun walk. I may re-visit the area during hunting season, though; there are deer in the area.
no definite pathway all weeds and broken tree trunks on the way and soooo much mosquitoes
Used to travel this trail a lot. First time back in 10 years. Much of the trail has been reclaimed by beavers. Still a beautiful area and I recommend highly. Noted a hawk and 5 different duck species. Have seen moose, deer, and a great horned owl in the past. Bring your insect repellent.
North Cooking Lake Provincial Natural Area is an interesting and diverse park in Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada, just east of Edmonton. This park offers diverse vegetation and includes a mixture of wetlands, forests and prairie grasslands. The area is situated in the Beaver Hills/Cooking Lake Moraine and is a combination of rolling hills, ridges, depressions, gullies and plains. There is an extensive network of hiking trails and is most colourful in Autumn with the forest ablaze in painted glory. There are many ponds, bogs, aspen/spruce forest, meadows and spruce/tamarack forest. In this area are unique patches of ostrich ferns, and greenery with the spruce bogs having an almost rain forest quality to them. The tamarack trees are an interesting explosion of gold as they are part of the only family of deciduous and needle/cone bearing trees in the world. This is a remarkable and fantastic place for anyone looking for a day trip just east of Edmonton.
Nicely groomed trails through forests and wetlands.
Trails are not long and do not loop, so you have to come back the same way you came. No picnic tables. But the trails are wide and easy to walk. Dogs are allowed.

My son and I went out this morning. We had so much fun! The Saskatoon berries are beautiful, plump and plentiful! We left with 2 pails of self picked and 1 pre-picked... 16lbs in total lol. The owner is so lovely and friendly. Thanks for a great outing!!!!
We absolutely love visiting Lamberry Ranch! The farm is beautifully kept, clean, and clearly well-managed with excellent farming practices. The animals are well-cared for and enjoy the outdoors, and the eggs from their ‘spoiled’ chickens are simply amazing. We especially love picking Saskatoon berries here—they’re the perfect ingredient for our pierogi, and they turn out delicious every time. This farm is truly a gem, and we look forward to coming back often!
Very good experience ,,,,me n my friend kids enjoy lots…..good quality 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💐💐💐
My wife and I went to pick some cherries, and we fell in love with Bob's farm! He is an amazing guy, very friendly and makes you feel like at home. I would recommend this activity to anyone, especially families with kids.
The owner is a very sweet man, and very knowledgeable about his berries. This was the second year I visit, and the Saskatoon berries taste better when you pick it with your family.
We went for berry picking this afternoon. The owner is very nice. My older daughter loved to play with the dog, and the younger loved to pet the cats.
Although the fella said it was a bad year for berries, we had a blast going through the bushes and picking. Staff was friendly, and supplied a couple loner buckets.
A very nice place for picking Saskatoon berries ~ very low in price aswell! The couple living there were very sweet.
