Such a great crew working here! We had a really good experience off and on the river. A very extensive set of covid guidelines makes you feel very safe. The river experience was unforgettable. We were a family of 4 with 13 and a 10 year old and fell very safe while getting a doze of wild river...wild enough for me, anyway. The kids were beyond excited. The views are jaw dropping....if you are anywhere in the vicinity, it is so worth the stop.
Had a fantastic experience, beyond my expectations. Small boats, so major involvement, the guide was quick witted and professional. The rivers were fast, the scenery top notch. We were professionally outfitted, so warm and safe as we went full out paddling. Loved it!
We had a fantastic time The scenery was unbelievable. The guides were very informative and helpful, I would highly recommend wild Blue Yonder. Thanks again 🤟
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! We had an absolute blast on Friday July 25 with Gina and Yo on our rafting trip with our 3 children and my husband. From the reservation process to the drop off back at the base, our experience was fantastic. This family ran business takes care of all your needs in an extremely professional and caring manner and were sure to check in with our children regularly to ensure they were having fun and were warm enough on the trip. They are knowledgeable and experienced on the river and knew all the ins and outs of rafting. We had a fantastic river run with lots of white water and technical paddling to keep us engaged and the kids loved every minute. All gear was provided and was clean and warm and upon exiting the river to head back to base camp, we were surprised with a cup of delicious hot chocolate and a fresh baked cookie! What a way to end a trip! Photos were taken during our excursion and were available for purchase a day after we rafted and looked great. Will DEFINITELY be back and book in again!
We had such an incredible time with Wild Blue Yonder Rafting. The staff was personable and professional. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the trip had a great balance of adventurous rafting mixed with relaxing moments to soak in the beauty of nature. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for both excitement and tranquility on the river.
Well, as someone who can not swim and went on this ride as a personal challenge I can say this. I started out very nervous but our guide was wonderful in putting me at ease. Even had the ability to read body language when I was a little panicked on the first part of the ride. The last three quarters were beautiful, exciting and fun! I enjoyed myself enough that i plan on going again next summer with my husband and son. They were very knowledgeable about the area, history and were able to answer most questions. I highly recommend for any beginner adventurer. :-)
I cannot recommend wild blue yonder enough! Gina and Yo were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We had family visiting from Ontario and this was such a great experience to do together. It was the highlight of their trip! If you have a chance to do it I HIGHLY recommend!
100% fun! Our large group had a blast, our hosts were great, everything exceeded our expectations. Gonna do it again next time through Grande Cache.

This place alone would almost be worthy of a visit to Grande Cache. Lots of displays, great information, a good gift shop, washrooms, views and a cool virtual reality setup where my boys were able to get up close with a dinosaur. Outdoor museum area as well. If you're travelling through, pay a visit.
Stopped to use the washroom (which was immaculate), ended up visiting for a time with staff. They were very friendly and conversational. Beautiful local artist prints and gifts for purchase. This visitor center has a little of everything - camping gear, gift shop, maps, brochures, museum, etc.
The folks at the interpretive centre were informative, helpful and friendly. We had a great chat. You can get all sorts of maps and brochures about activities in the area. Along with historical and local info the centre has a small selection of hiking supplies and of course Grande Cache souvenirs.
These people are wonderful. They helped us so much. So glad we stopped on our way from Jasper to Grand Prairie. This is a MUST stop. Thank You
Fantastic historical experience, lots of great displays inside and out. It's nice to see the history of grande cache along with it wildlife and paintings Always worth the visit
Awesome museum & interpretive center. Staff was accomadating and there was so much cool stuff to see!
Great little stop going through Grande Cache, with some cool gift shop finds for the kids, and reasonably priced quality outdoor gear if you need to grab something for your outdoor adventures!
Really cool Town History . Kids approved Didn't get any of the inside . Very polite Staff.

My favourite place in Grande Cache. The labyrinth was originally a Alberta Health initiative to help people struggling with mental health, or addiction. Now it has become a tourist attraction and a place where locals can find peace. There's an interesting echo in the centre of the labyrinth. Dog friendly, but best on leash if others are using the space.
This park provided me with a quiet place to rest. The labyrinth was nicely laid out with information about how to approach it. It's not a maze but rather a place to experience your surroundings. Others were using it as a meditation space, too.
Easy to find, we had a lovely experience at the Labyrinth! Got to see a mama deer and her two babies. Felt magical. It was windy when we visited in July, I'd bring a sweater just in case.
Do spend some time to slowly pace this labyrinth till the centre at least. Set you gaze softly about 6-8 ft away from you. Enjoy each of your breath slowly, gracefully, mindfully. Feel your footsteps. Hear the breeze, the sweeping sounds underfoot, perhaps a buzz here and there. Soon everything will mingle to a symphony of your own design. I'm thankful to have had my chance, and will be again.
Loved this park. I walked the labyrinth. It has a beautiful view.
Beautiful place for a quiet walk, with some stunning views.
Nice spot for a picnic. There are no facilities or trails here, just the meditative labyrinth, but the view is fantastic. Very easy stop to make along the way to your destination, although you need to plan for a toilet break elsewhere.
Amazing place to visit. There is good spot to take pictures.

The Grande Cache Recreation Centre was really great, Right inside the door you are greeted with local history and community events, The greeting area was amazing, the staff friendly and greeting! Lots of information and a great view of the aquatics area, and fitness centre! The pool has great distinct areas to enjoy, a great lazy river, a full lane swim pool with diving boards, a dry sauna, a hot tub and steam room! The change rooms were top tier! Big open space with locker rentals and private areas to change in! If you get a chance also check out the arenas and events happening at the rec centre! Highly recommend and will be back when I’m in Grande Cache!
My family and I love love love this place. It’s our first time in grand cache and this place is super awesome, fun to visit. My 3 year old is obsessed. They have a water slide, wave pool, a lazy river and obstacle course on the big pool. Super fun place and will definitely visit it again.
This is an amazing facility. Pool, lazy river, hot tub, water slide, sauna, steam room. Pol has nice warm water. Tasteful decoration with artificial trees and Mountainview murals. All this is inexpensive. Not even big towns has something this nice. Only con is opening time for the pools. It's pretty much closed every afternoon except of weekends. That's very inconvenient.
Unexpected for a small community. Incredible swimming facility with hot tub, steam room, sauna, waterslide, lazy river, wave pool and lane pool. Nice sized gym. Their canteen serves the BEST soup. All the staff are friendly and inviting. Located beside a splash park, with 360 degree mountain views
Unexpected gem! A wonderful swimming facility with all that one could want: hot tub, steam room, sauna, waterslide, lazy river, wave pool and a lane pool. Friendly staff and gorgeous wall decorations.
Awesome facility! Hot tub, steam room, sauna, lazy river and wave pool. My family loves having a swim here after a hike in GC.
Clean and quite! Swimming was a blast and the lazy river was so fun. Definitely didn’t expect such high quality swimming out here. But seriously SO clean!
Great aqua center. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room, lazy river, jacuzzi. Great vacation. Very budget friendly.

Our group of 10 campers and several tents stayed at the U Bar Ranch. It was perfect. Quiet and peaceful, organized but not fussy There are several fully serviced sites and lots of room for dry campers and tents. There are charming on site bathrooms and showers. The proximity to the lakes and to town make it a very convenient spot. The horses and Simon, the barn cat, make it amazing!
A must!! Did a one hour trail ride with four friends. First time on a horse for all of us. Loved every minute of it!! The staff were excellent, friendly and super informative. Will definitely go back for a long ride next time. Thanks so much U bar ranch!!
My kid is getting horseback riding lessons here. The teacher is so nice. The lessons have been wonderful - my kid is having a wonderful time and is always excited for the next lesson. They're more "real" horse people, and less "business" feeling. We wander around, pet horses, chit chat before and after lessons - it's just so nice.
I did not visit the U-bar ranch, though I have taken my daughter riding there and it was very pleasant, a large lease cut from the surrounding crown lands. What I was doing was a bit way up the mountain where I was examining exposed cables, large ones, that were like large extension cords…it has made me uneasy seeing them so exposed. I believe them to be seismic lines of some sort, and quite old…and if I am right littering our entire area…with conductive metal…and we are so due for a forest fire it is not even funny…so anyone who reads this; there is a wee bit of a problem with underground infrastructure, it’s location, the locales belief that it is a non issue; and their insistence on ignoring the evidence of their own eyes…am getting tired of hearing people speak of how open minded they are, then look for anything possible to discredit the evidence presented…so when the $&@“ hits the fan…I did try to warn people…for months, just like chicken little…
Did the Kvass trail ride and was not disappointed. the views were spectacular got to see some wild life on the trail which was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Dolly was a gem to ride. will definitely be back and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.
U-Bar Ranch is fantastic! Beautiful scenery, calm horses, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Great location. Great folks. Great riding.

Incredible views, great value, friendly staff.
Great course but not the best greens yet this year. Reasonably priced for a round of golf and great food.
Affordable, beautiful views, uncrowded, interesting. Fuzzy greens, but very zen environment overall. There was a welcome deer on 1st hole. Lost zero balls.
The is an awesome golf course. Very well laid out and well kept. There are some challenges on this course but it really is worth getting out there.
Nice local course, with views of the Canadian Rockies from interesting holes. One of the par 3s was a bit too long for my taste (or ability!) at 230 yards. Push carts are officially C$15 for nine holes, whereas carts are C$20 per cart. Fairways were in good shape, as were most greens. Holes are pretty far apart, so it’s probably smarter to go with the cart anyway.
Quite enjoyed our stop through GC at the golf course. Had some chicken wings and beers on their patio then used the driving range. Course is clearly well maintained and gorgeous scenery. A few of the ladies working were exceptionally friendly and helpful! Very reasonable pricing considering it’s probably the only highlight of town lol.
One of the best 9 hole courses in Alberta. The view from Hole 9 is world class. Staff is amazing, food/service is great.
The staff were extremely rude! My family booked a tee time the day previous and they failed to write it down. Staff was not very accommodating and rude.

Food was good, decent selection of beer, just need some beer on tap. Service was excellent. I’ll return if I ever come back here
Waitress cut the entire bar off at 1130 because she thought people had too much to drink. 3 people handed even had a drink. When asked y they couldn't be served she said "because id have to serve everyone" kick the drunks out and serve the people that want to have a drink responsibly
Had the Grilled Hoddock. Cooked to perfection! Buttery and a generous size of a moist fillet that melts in your mouth. I look forward to having again next time. Excellent service.
Atmosphere is really great, just need to keep up the service and serve equally no matter to colour of people. Really really really they need to have some matured and knowledgeable person to serve.
Do not waste your money on the pathetic nachos for $20. Wow not even enough for one person let alone sharing with anyone. Never be back.
We decided to check out this place after seeing you guys put up a post on the Death Race group on Facebook. We always like to support local establishments, and we were far from disappointed. I can't get over how amazing the food is here! The Caesar salad had real parmesan and bacon. The home cut fries were probably the best we've ever had. There is a HUGE piece of fish with the fish and chips. I'm not sure what they put in the coleslaw, but crack wouldn't be surprising. The service was spot on and super friendly. The only adjustment I'd make is to ask people to smoke farther away from the doors.
Nice pub with mountain views out the front door
Came in on a Monday night and the place was quiet. Bartender was super nice, and the steak was excellent.
