Adorable period general store that's in great condition and packed full of useful consumables and products for purchase. As in the "old days" this site combines food groceries and hardware products. Worth a stop.
It really has a little bit of everything. Butcher. General hardware. Day to day foods. A gift shop. Baked goods. It was hard to leave there without wanting to try a few things. I'll come back later. First day here. Just wanted to see what they have. Once you walk outside. There is a porch to sit and enjoy ice cream or take a moment and enjoy the scenerie. They take great care of the space.
The people who run this place are the salt of the Earth. Their pizza, and breakfast sandwiches are divine. I dont even know, or care what any of it cost, it was well worth it.
Wow - this store had so many options, great section for kids toys, kitchen utensils and other items. Plus a great selection of sweatshirts and left with fresh apples.
This a great little general store with plenty of goods catering to locals and cottagers alike. Quite an old building and it's interesting just to have a look around (hint: check out the old conveyor belt chute at the bottom of the steps). Prices vary, depending on what you're looking for...but keep in mind, not many small-town general stores sell kombucha. Really good meat selection.
This is quite the general store. It has a little bit of everything. Lots of gourmet choices. They also sell fresh coffee. Staff could not have been friendlier. I'd give it 5 stars but it is extremely overpriced.
Great flavors great friendly service. Sugar Shack Maple is delicious. I'll definitely be back soon!
All in one general store in Lake Rosseau, Muskoka. It's a little grocery store that caters a lot from produce, deli, pastries, snacks, milk, drinks, frozen stuffs and tarts and love their crabmeat it taste so good! And btw, they have diff.kinds of souvenir shops inside too...and outside.. ice cream is their best seller esp.during summer and its also near different stalls and shops..👍👍👍👍👍

Beautiful waterfront park. We stopped by for a recharge before continuing our journey to Seguin. The park is clean, dog friendly and the view of the cottages is serene 🍁🍂
Delightful public beach next to a marina. Washrooms, docks to jump off of or fish from... Children's play structure. Site of very popular Friday summer market. Visit vintage store at top of hill and bakery on Victoria st.
Spellbound view. Lake is maintained very well. Lake view restaurant is available.
Beautiful little waterfront park. It's got a smallish park for the little ones to play. Nice picnic benches. Also has shallow water depth for kiddies to jump into. Limited parking and can get full fairly quickly. Overall its a nice little trip for the kiddies to enjoy the amazing outdoors.
A small town in Muskoka with a beautiful lake. Rosseau Waterfront Park is a perfect place for a day picnic and its completely worth driving up there from Toronto. There is a playground with slides & swings for the kids. There is a marina on the right side of the dock. On the left side there is a sandy beach. You can jump and dive in the water from the dock. They have a small wooden floating platform for dive or jump just 50 m in the lake. Washrooms are not far away from the picnic area and they have showers too. It was a gorgeous summer day when we visited this place, we really enjoyed immensely. Looking forward to visit again!
Beautiful dock with a view of a pristine lake and cottages. Great for a swim and any water sport. I love sitting on the docks and looking out over the lake. The sitting area is covered and has power outlets. There are washrooms as well. By law enforcement officers come by and check so make sure you park your car properly.
Lovely park. Shaded picnic tables and benches, washrooms, boat ramp, sandy beach, and several pavilions. Very well maintained.
Beautiful small village, with a grocery store running since 1874. Such a nice, clean and quiet waterfront park. No nuisance at all

We had such a fantastic experience at Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable staff who are clearly passionate about the incredible work they do. It was inspiring to learn about the sanctuary’s mission and how they care for rescued and rehabilitated wildlife. The guided tour was engaging and educational for both adults and kids, our whole family walked away with a deeper appreciation for Canada’s wildlife and the importance of conservation. The sanctuary is beautifully tucked into nature, and it felt peaceful just walking the trails and observing the animals in their safe, natural habitats. This was such a meaningful and memorable family outing. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Thank you, Aspen Valley, for all that you do, you’ve gained lifelong supporters in us! Highly recommended for families looking for something fun, educational, and heartwarming. 🦊🦉🐻
I never felt so happy to visit a place like I was here. The staff does an amazing work for the animals, they don't force the interaction so be prepared to see only when they feel comfortable and wanted to be seen. Every animal has a story, the tour is important to know more about them and their background. This place is a necessary place for all the animals they support 🖤 And Tanya is the best 🖤
Well worth a visit. Book a tour at least a week or two in advance. Under 5 years old is free, but honestly the 4 year olds were a bit tired by the end. The path isn’t really stroller friendly although you could get by with a sturdy wagon. Very neat place! You can see lots of animals who are permanent residents there (check their website for details) and learn about those they rehabilitate and release
We visited on September 10 2025. Our knowledgeable lovely guide was Robin. We learned so much about rescued animals and their rehabilitation. This facility is a unique dedicated environment. We really appreciate the valuable service by everyone involved in this project. Thank you for supporting and helping the endangered species to help our planet.. sincerely Mrs Dee Amyotte Milton ON Canada
We had a near perfect day and all the animals came out to see us or popped their heads up, except the Bobcat. Very educational and we really enjoyed hearing the stories of the animals and how they are cared for, especially as they age. The intention is to set the animals free again after rehab and most make it back to their usual living location.
This sanctuary was definitely worth going out of the way for. An entirely self funded sanctuary doing incredible work rescuing Canadian wildlife. Our volunteer guides were fantastic.
Nice sanctuary that seems practical and thoughtful when it comes to animals. Nice spot to go for a walking tour and see some animals. The foxes are adorable and entertaining! Great work.
Aspen is a wonderful place to visit. You can book a 90 minute tour of the wonderful property that houses many animals that could not be released. This is not a zoo. But for 25$ an adult is asked for food and vet care These kind people rescue many animals. My son and I bring donations of blankets, teddy bears, frozen meat and money donations. They were kind and let us meet a few friends like coyotes Zoe and Tippy. The fledger Bluejays in the photo that was just released after being cared for by the staff since the size of a peanut..lol They helped me help a lil raccoon I had 2 years ago.She was just a baby. I will for ever be greatful :)

We loved this place. Thank you Sue and Betty. These ladies are awesome and very friendly. They pointed us to places in and around the area. We bought few things, and some jam. We consider this shop as a treasure that we found on our trip. Please keep this place open. I'm reaching out to everyone that reads these reviews.. Please support local businesses like this to keep them going. Thank you!
Had such a fun time shopping at the Craft Room! Bought so many lovely items. Their fudge & chocolates are fantastic! The young lady waiting us (our granddaughter) was so enthusiastic & knowledgeable about the different items! We will be back next year! Love my candle warmer & Inukshuk necklace!
I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stop here! Loved browsing internet store, so many different things to look at . ... from fabric, craft supplies, clothing, nice snacks, gifting ideas.. wow! The store is intriguing... The ladies working there were awesome. Since we were on holiday, they told us about other places to visit in the area, some tips and hints on how to get there etc. Cannot wait to go back. I can say as a traveler, this is the kind of store I love to find and these ladies were a rare treasure.
What a wonderful little shop. The owners are super nice. We've enjoyed coming here to browse and buy for many years. We will be sorry to see them close but they deserve a happy and healthy retirement. Thank you, Betty and Sue.
Lovely gift and craft shop. Great jammies and ideal for hostess gifts. Very nice staff with lovely gift bags.
It doesn’t get better than entering the shop and watching the shopkeeper sewing a handmade scarf. Nice small ambiance.
One of my favourite places! Tons of choices and variety of items. Definitely a place to stop in and shop
Lovely, cottage-y fare, some hand made on premises. Cards, clothes, gifts, toys, books, & more.

For my two cents, this is the best farmers market in the muskoka area. Lots of great craft vendors, tasty treats and family fun. Round out your visit with some time at the playground and beach.
An absolutely beautiful and vibrant market in a stunning location. We went on the first day it opened for the summer, and it was a fantastic experience. The setting is the real star—it's located right on the shores of Lake Rosseau, with spectacular views of the water, cottages, and boats. It's also right beside a nice public dock and beach, which adds to the wonderful atmosphere. The live music playing in the background really makes the whole place feel alive and enjoyable. The market itself is excellent, with over 60 unique booths. We were very impressed with the high quality and wide variety of the vendors. There's something for everyone, from local farm produce and food producers to a large number of talented artisans selling everything from pottery and metalwork to jewelry. A quick tip for visitors: it gets very busy, so it's a good idea to get there early. Parking can also be a bit of a challenge, so plan accordingly. Overall, it's a must-visit experience in the Muskokas. Highly recommend!
This is a great place to visit if you are in the area. There are a lot of different vendors and they usually have live music. If you have mobility issues there is a shuttle bus that will take you down to the market.
Decided to visit a different farmer's market so I went to rosseau. What a lovely venue and lots of vendors. Managed to find everything I was looking for, including the first crop of fresh ontario corn.
This farmer’s market was so fun. The creativity was unmatched and the number of cute dogs just made it that much better!
The olive oils, roasted tomatoes and olives are some of the best around. The crepes are worth getting up early for, it's worth the drive
Ev charging, local goods, beach, boat launch. Ice cream and LCBO. Great meeting point to have a fun day.
Lots of fun stuff to look at. Fun food and great location.
