Amazing experience! My 12 year old son and my husband and I enjoyed the entire experience. Sleeping over in the safari lodge and the behind the scenes where we were able to cuddle wolf pups, feed the gorgeous jaguar and play with and pet the lynx and bob cat. The best part of the overnight experience is also being able to go out in the park after hours in the evening when the general public has left. The animals come out more after the hot sun goes down
An unforgettable experience at Jungle Cat World! This place is absolutely amazing and brought so much joy to my son Samy, memories that will last a lifetime. Samy has a rare genetic disorder, and the generosity, kindness, and warmth shown by everyone here truly touched our hearts. A huge thank you to Candice, who made our Behind the Scenes experience so special ; her passion and care for the animals (and for people) shines through in everything she does. And to Kory, whose big heart and kindness in the office made us feel so welcome from the very start. The whole team is genuine, caring, and full of love for what they do. The Behind the Scenes experience was simply magical we got to feed lions, pet a wolf, hug a fox, and feed lemurs! My kids got plush animals from the souvenir shop that they’ve been hugging nonstop they’re already inseparable with them ❤️ We can’t recommend Jungle Cat World enough. It’s more than a zoo, it’s a place full of heart. We’re already looking forward to coming back and staying at the on-site lodge, especially since guests can visit the park after hours and see how the animals are at night. A must-try for families and animal lovers! 🐾
We had such an amazing time, the behind the scenes experience was a dream come true! If you're looking for a fancy zoo, this is not the place for you. BUT if you are looking for a place where you can tell the people love their jobs and the animals they work with this is the place. You get up close with the animals without spending a fortune. You don't have to hope you will see the animals because they are right there, they even have animals just walking around like Mikey the donkey and beautiful peacocks. This place is definitely a hidden treasure. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a different kind of animal experience.
Had a blast with the kids! We got to watch the lions and wolves be fed, interact with the free roaming alpacas and donkey, and the bunnies were asking for pets. The peahen and chicks were shy but still came around. The playground was a lot of fun for the kids. The food there was good and well priced. I would highly suggest a visit.
*** Access2 Card accepted here *** Support person accompanying the person with disability, who pays, gets in for free. Nice way to spend half a day at a small zoo. Friendly, helpful staff and the zookeepers feeding the animals were informative and entertaining. They mentioned they act as a sanctuary to accept any animals which other zoos did not plan to have and cannot accommodate. Can bring in your own food and drinks hut don’t feed them to the animals. Lots of shaded benches to sit and eat. There are tiki umbrellas providing shade for the tables outside the restaurant. Also there are many tables and chairs in the area next to the restaurant in the covered area. Enclosed areas are small for the large lions, tigers, pumas, etc. but animals looked healthy. Peacocks, ducks, geese, alpacas roam free around the zoo. Can buy food to feed the birds and alpacas. Fun playground for kids with climbing structures, mountain with tunnels, slide and squeaky, vintage metal teeter totters.
Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park is a fantastic destination for animal lovers and families alike. This wildlife park provides a unique opportunity to observe and learn about a diverse range of species, including majestic big cats, playful lemurs, and fascinating reptiles. The park is well-maintained, with spacious enclosures that prioritize the animals' well-being. Staff members are knowledgeable and passionate, offering engaging talks and educational experiences that enhance your visit. The immersive environment allows for close encounters with some of the animals during scheduled feeding sessions. Overall, Jungle Cat World is a captivating place that combines education and conservation, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.
This past weekend we visited Jungle Cat World for a behind the scenes experience. My father and son participated while my daughter and I followed along and explored the rest of the zoo. The staff were INCREDIBLE in making sure we felt welcomed and educated on the experience we had paid for. The tour guides were exceptional!! They helped to take a ton of photos so my dad and son have memories to share and show the rest of our family. It was so much fun, and a highly recommended gift to give someone!! We picked any 3 of the massive list of animals they had, and the staff were more than accommodating if we wanted to change our minds the day-of. We will definitely be back, especially for another behind the scenes.
Prowl in the Park at Jungle Cat World was an absolutely incredible experience! We, from Shack In The Back Designs, had an amazing time and were thoroughly impressed by the organization and the staff. The dedication to wildlife education and the care of the animals is truly evident in every interaction. It felt like a memorable, up-close encounter that successfully balanced conservation efforts with a wonderful visitor experience. We highly recommend Jungle Cat World to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful night out. We are already looking forward to joining future events to support their important mission! Thank you for a truly wonderful evening. Jacob Shack In The Back Designs

One of best place for beginners and intermediate ski. Green and Blue trails are smooth, black is little bit challenge, good for school event. Lots of kids are playing and enjoying here.
I can only attest to the facilities and not the actual ski/snowboard conditions or process in this review. This is a small but popular ski/snowboard facility. It’s certainly not of the same size and calibre as Blue Mountain. If you’re not skiing/snowboarding, the only area you can stay is the chalet’s dining area. However, it’s quite small so come lunch time, the hungry skiers/snowboarders will be descending into the small area. There are two lunch rooms, however, if it becomes too busy, you might need to vacate. Washrooms are decent.
Great place to ride in southern Ontario. Lots of varied terrain and 3 freestyle runs. Very friendly lift and kitchen staff. Ski patrollers are prompt and are very friendly
My daughter and I purchased season passes for 2024. While skiing my 13 year old daughter fell, and as I am helping her up, a group of boys snowboarded past us yelled the ‘N-word’ and to move out of the way. Once we made it down the hill we spoke to the staff about what had just happened and even pointed out the people involved. They did absolutely nothing other than telling us “We’re sorry this happened to you, we will speak to the boys…” we took a break to see what happens, and the boys were talked to for no more than 10 seconds and then they were right back on the ski lifts again. Not calling the organization racist, but felt that we are second class citizens here. It’s heartbreaking as now my daughter associates skiing as an activity not for ‘our kind’ and doesn’t want to ski anymore, after years of skiing. Horrible experience all together.
This is a great hill to learn how to ski. The runs are fairly decent , although they go by fairly quickly. Ben's bump and flyer are really fun runs and not overly challenging. The furthest chair lift to the right of the mountain on the map could use an upgrade it's fairly harsh to get on to and has zero padding on your back so that's a bit of a let down when it slams you into place. The price is fair for how many runs you can get in as most runs are done in 1 minute if you take the hill at a decent speed. Overall it's a fun hill and a feat starting point if you're new to winter sports ! $25 day skiing is a great deal !
My son had a field trip through his school that I went along with. Hills were great. They do have lockers to rent that cost 50¢ when you need to open which was pretty good. They have a canteen and the food was reasonably priced. We had 2 hot chocolates, bottle of water, pack of M&M's, fries and chicken fingers and was just under $40. My only complaint was about all the kids had to do a mandatory lesson that had 5 steps to it before you could go on the green hills. Step 1 and 2 were good had instructors that instructed whivh was awesome. Then step 3 and 4 had no one. My son who had never skied before didn't know what to do so I took it upon myself to teach him (even though I am no expert) and then they had someone on step 5 where he passed and was able to move to the green hills. We made it work which was fine however not everyone could do that. Ski rental lined moved fast, all employees were friendly and very helpful! Thanks for a great day!
Awesome ski hill! Close to Durham Region, Peterborough and Port Hope areas, great terrain and awesome for families and kids. They offer night skiing through the week and Saturday nights, ski school, terrain park (plus beginners park) and on hill rentals and ski shop. There are two chalets and the food is good, especially for a ski hill. The food is also fairly priced. Poutine is great, lots of cheese curds! Knowledgeable people working in the store and they do ski/snowboard tune ups. You won't find any huge mountains in the area, but this little hill offers a great variety of terrain for all levels and lift lines are never longer than a few minutes. I find this to be a larger hill than others in Durham (not sure about height, but certainly more area), which offers more variety in your choice of trails and terrain.
The better hill in the east GTA area that you can go to without making the trek up the 400 or going out of province. Many runs, many hills, well maintained, family atmosphere if you’re looking for that but still diverse groups of people from age to skill. Been going for 8 years, will continue to go after this ski season.

Wow, what a nice place. If you are thinking about buying apples, why not go to this great big store just east of Bowmanville. They also sell cheese, produce, baked goods, gift and deli items and hot and cold cider. It's worth the drive.
I love this shop! A tad pricey but other items make up for it. Mostly Canadian products too. I like that. The ladies are lovely and heart warming. I am learning all about the apple species. There is such a great variety, but my favourite Macintosh apple is the star of the show. the best specimens of this apple are to be found here unlike the ones l have found in Canadian groceries.
I just bought a HUGE honeycrisp apple at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Toronto and it has the Algoma Orchards sticker on it. I'm looking forward to eating it! It might take me 3 days b/c it's so big 😆. Wow! I'm editing my review to say this Honeycrisp is outstandingly tasty!!!
You will find lots of grocery and pre-made items in the store. There's also a great selection of gift items as well. If you're looking for ice cream. They have a great selection of flavours. Lots of parking available and they are open 7 days a week.
Nice store - lots of products - gift ideas. But buyer beware! Purchased a box of Borek Bites (like small sausage roll) $10.99. Never saw before & looked good. Found exact same product ( box & producer) at local food chain $5.99. Buyer beware. My fault - but that price difference is upsetting!
I like the fact that this is a local market with mostly local/Ontario products. Also, there is a large gluten-free section. Most US products were clearly marked. But WHY are the staff so ..... "snotty".... for lack of a better word?? Abrupt, unfriendly and unhelpful. It's like the store is the absolute last place they want to be. I noticed this arrogant and condescending attitude from staff on previous visits but thought I would give it another try. Unfortunately it was the same thing again today. I sincerely believe these people need a staff training day relating to customer service...and really, just being pleasant. It's not that hard!
Do yourself a favour and check our Algoma Orchards! Amazing Sandwiches, frozen and pre-prepared foods and don't get me started on their desserts and sweets! So good Oh, they also sell great local apples as well ;) Highly recommend if you're in the area to check them out
I used to like this place, it's a tidy local farm shop but the prices just keep going up and its not worth it anymore. I can get local produce half the price at No Frills. I'd stop in for a pie if I was going somewhere but that's about it anymore.

I have been an avid “picker” since I was a kid. And the overall awe I got visiting this beautiful historic armouries building filled with treasures was exciting. Three floors of beautiful antiques. I was a little short on time and will be back soon. I collect vintage porcelain bulls and was in shock to discover a heifer to add to my collection. As well as a wall mounted oil lamp to my collection. Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. See you soon.
One of the greatest antique experiences I've had at this lovely and magical place. I went looking mostly for estate pipes and lighters. I was not disappointed at all! The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful! There is truly a bit of everything the heart contents here! It's a big place but very well organized! I look forward to future Hunts at Orono Antique Market.
A really big place with 10 vendors Under the roof. Alistair is the owner. I went there when george was on duty. A lovely man to talk with. It was an eternal walk amongst innumerable antiques and vintage pieces, countless porcelain and glass and an enormous selection of knick knacks. Two story and even tools in the basement. Take and hour and a half minimum when attempting to fathom this environnment. What a fantastic find. This antique market will take you a good 2hs to look through. Floors and floors of treasures. I even found my aunt on a couple of coke trays. Prices are a little high on the glassware. Great spot.
Wow! This place is astounding! If antiquing is your thing, then this place is your church. It is unbelievable with levels and what seems like kilometers of antiques. Just an overall amazing place. A definite must go!
Very large in size Antique store in the historic building. There are multiple areas with large rooms and aisles of treasures for you to find. There is something for everyone. Great and welcoming owner and staff. It's worth a drive if you are looking for a special peace. It was my second visit and it was great.
I visited this place in July of 2025. There are so many things to see so slow down and just take your time to enjoy what is has to offer. The owner is a great guy. We talked a little when checking out. It's a little on the pricey side....the owner even said that himself, however you can find some unique items. I would visit this location again. The owner also recommended another antique market only less than 5 mins away you can visit. But this one is by far better
Who knew?! I had no idea this building housed four floors of antiques! It was absolutely massive. It was like a museum the way everything was so beautifully displayed. All pricing was visible. You name it, he has it! If you are into Royal Doulton, the selection of cups/saucers were everywhere and many figurines as well. Old albums, made my heart happy (and his music selection playing quietly in the background was a nice touch). It was like a little stroll through memory lane and who doesn't love that?!! The jewelry, knick-knacks, cameras, books, fine china ... it was way more than a person could take in in one afternoon. The chap running the venue was super helpful and friendly and made everyone feel welcome the second they entered. It doesn't get any better than this. I have just one question, how is it there is no dust anywhere??! Remarkable! Located in such a charming little town. Shop, walkabout, drop in to the cafe. Perfect day!

Second time visiting this Antique shop with over 30 vendors space. Friendly staff. Again, I have scored some great finds. I'm definitely coming back. It is one of two Antique shops in Orono, which makes it perfect if driving from far.
It was nice to wander around the multi vendors antique mall that Prisco Operate. There is a ton of treasures of all kinds to be found in that place : vinyls, military, jewelry, antique Marbles. Prisco kept the store open for me 30 mi utes after the nor al closing hours and gave me good deals on many of the items i bought. Thanks again. #pakyak #giant #giantbikes #bikepacking #bikelife #crosscountry #toronto #BikepackingAntiquarian #travellingParrot
A really nice antique market stop. The guy was very nice and went out of his way to find what you're looking for. Prices are very reasonable as well. Very organized to make shopping easier.
Great antique mall with lots of variety. Friendly and helpful staff. A little out of the way but definitely worth the drive!!
Late Sept 2022 rainy weekday. Many items. The store is about same size as another antique mall round the corner but one floor only. It has more vintage than antique. No public wasroom, sorry.
It is a great place. Bought a few things that will add to my home decor. Really liked the prices and customer service was tops.
Neat place. Tons to look at.
I sure hope you're reading this because of how much you also love this place...because there's absolutely no possible way you haven't been here 20 times. What is it about antique stores like this that make you feel that almost divine feeling you also get in museums and book stores and churches?

Small but nice to look around.
Not the biggest antique store, but man there were great deals. The store is one floor only, so not a huge selection. The owner was really nice. He made us aware of all the deals (some stuff was even 75% off!!)
Not bad, not very big.

Beautiful park with an updated playground. Small splash pad. Outdoor pool that’s open in the summer. Lots of people walking dogs in the evening. Loads of picnic tables. Beautiful trees and shade. Only downfall is lots of garbage. We picked up tons- so hopefully it stays clean for awhile.
Great little park, a small creek runs through it and there's a couple walkway bridges to enter. Unfortunately local kids will sometimes put the picnic tables in the creek, they should chain them together or to the ground.
We hosted a child’s birthday party at Orono park and were thrilled with the results. There is a bookable shelter for serving food. The playground and splash pad are new and maintained. A small shallow creek circles the playground that kids can play in. We’ll be back and have recommended to friends.
Pool was a bit small, but clean and not overcrowded. Good place to bring kids. You need cash for the pool access fee. No debit. If you have a Clarington Swim card, you will get a swim band right away.
Great heated pool with lifeguards, change/washrooms, picnic areas, kids playground and splash area, tennis court, baseball diamond and a creek. Trail runs through it.
This big park was absolutely beautiful. So many things to keep busy - an outdoor pool, playground, splash pad, hiking trails, lots of room to picnic, etc.
Great little place for family or just to go and relax. Nice little creek that flows through!
Really beautiful park. Has a playground with 2 sets of swings, tennis court, picnic benches, bathroom.
