What a great place to stop and view some history. We got taken on a great tour by a wonderful student, sorry we catch your name. Thank you!
Closed June 2021 due to COVID-19. From the outside the trains are in some disrepair, broken window, needs some paint. However the train and rail cars are very cool and worth the stop. Placs around the property tell you about some of the POW history from WW1.
Positively awesome. If you like trains, all aboard for the Kapuskasing express! 🚂
The museum was still closed for the season, but getting ready to open soon. I had brought my mom up there to visit the area (she had not been up there since the early sixties when my dad was stationed at Lowther). The staff at the Welcome Center were super friendly and more than happy to show us a small portion of the museum artifacts that were out for display. It meant the world to my mom and also with myself. I will definitely be returning there in the very near future to get the full experience. Thank you so much Kelly, Halle and Desire'! I hope I spelled your names correctly!
Love this stop. I have taken my family several times and love the train
Had a very enjoyable and interesting visit to the Ron Motel Memorial Museum today. Staff were very knowledgeable and really enhanced the experience. The sculptures were something I'd never seen before and left me amazed. The static displays were really interesting. The mini railway display was allot of fun to watch. Great job to those involved with its construction. I would highly recommend a visit for those of any age.
Dad was stationed nearby at Lowther AFB during Cold War. Great to see the train station where he disembarked as a young U.S. Airman. The museum is very well organized and educational. Plus, the staff is exceptional in their knowledge of the area. Hope that one day, there will at least be a highway marker where the base(radar site) once stood to honor both U.S. and Canadians who helped to protect our continent during that dark period.
Housed in two railway coaches complete with an old fashioned steam locomotive. Gives a good insight into the history of the Town of Kapuskasing and also of the railway. There's a fascinating large model railway which operates at the touch of a button. You have to go right to the end of the second coach to find it though.

Very nice cheeses. Tonight we are enjoying the two year old Mattagami old. We're having it with bread, wine, chocolate, and the Chef Bill Tequila Sunrise jelly which we also liked very much.
Wow. Absolutely stunning shop. The owner is passionate and kind. Park your vehicle and enjoy some cheese. Prices are amazing. Every piece of cheese is delicious. They have add ons like meat, crackers and jams. 15/10
This fromagerie deserves 6 stars. My wife discovered them while on a study trip in Kapuskasing and we are absolutely in love with their cheeses. They have the best cheeses I have tasted in North America.
So glad we stopped here! Very welcoming atmosphere. We were happily given samples of their various cheeses along with explanations of how they are made. All were very flavourful! Also had a selection of unique jellies. We’re looking forward to enjoying our purchases!
Amazing cheese maker. Such enthusiasm for his product and offers samples and explanations for all of the cheese products on display. Nice variety of cheese made from goat, sheep and cow milk, depending on the time of year. Hands down the best goat cheese that I have ever tasted. If you are a cheese connoisseur well worth the stop.
Bought a sampler box of six cheeses which arrived in Kingston 3 days after the ship date. This is not bulk cheddar or Brie…this is high quality artisan cheese and it is not cheap…but it is more than fairly priced considering the quality. I intend on opening a good bottle of Burgundy this weekend and putting on a few pieces with some good bread and olive oil. These products show that Canada can do way better than just Cheddar. Well done folks and I look forward to my future orders.
Amazing place. The owner/cheese maker is a real treasure. He is fiercely passionate about cheese and insisted we sample all of them (they where delicious) while he went on and explained each of them, their making process and their histories. It is absolutely worth a stop of you are driving by Kapuskasing.
The lady in the store was very nice, she offered multiple samples to make sure I knew the one I wanted. When I asked for a smaller portion to purchase, she cut it from a completely new one! The kapuskasing cheese is very delicious

My favourite northern course. I always see smiling faces.
Course was in rough shape (mid mai) and we were still charged 30$/each for 9 holes. There was a temporary green as well. It is likely that the course is very nice during the summer but prices should be adjusted for when conditions aren’t great.
Love it, staff are welcoming, helpful and the course is super nice. Well maintained.
I love it.The crew is joyful and smilling all the time...Thats a bonus in life
Nice course, nine holes. Putting green with bunker and chipping practice area.
excellent golf course! Great shape.

Was visiting from Ottawa last spring and was totally wowed. I’m back in town now and going back for sure!
While visiting family in Kapuskasing I was able to check out the boutique and take a yoga class. The boutique is awesome. Full of so many unique items. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. I had the pleasure of taking Marie-Claude's yoga class and she is an incredible yoga instructor. I will definitely visit again in the future.
Great products and classes.
