Our experience at Rocky Crest Resort was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The location itself is stunning, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was the outstanding service we received. Amanda, our server at the Bayside Patio, was beyond amazing l, attentive, friendly, and made us feel so well taken care of. She went above and beyond to make our meal feel special and personalized. A true gem! A huge shoutout to Shane, the manager, who was exceptional in every way. He made sure every detail of our experience was perfect and genuinely cared about ensuring we had the best time possible. His level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. Rocky Crest is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression breathtaking views, cozy vibes, and a team that truly cares. We’ll absolutely be back!
Spent a one-nighter here back in June with my wife. Nice resort right on the water. Definitely dated inside and out. Had a corner room on the lakeside with a lofted bedroom with sky light. Overall it was okay - nothing special. We were mainly there for one round of golf the next day. Course was very nice and just down the road from the resort. I will be staying at other resorts in the area before returning here. Just to have some comparisons.
Beautiful spot for walks and enjoying fall colors. Kitchen in the room was due for renovation. No dishwasher. Coffee maker was small and very noisy. Heat pump was noisy. Radiant heat in bedrooms was quite comfy for sleeping but very slow to heat up and easy to overshoot a comfortable temperature. Restaurant had a great buffet breakfast but kind of expensive.
The rooms are very dated and unclean. We had Cheerios and sand and other things when we got to our room. Went to front desk who said they will send house keeping but no one came so we cleaned it up ourselves. Damages in the room. This is more of a 2 star hotel room. The golf course is amazing. Go stay somewhere else if you want to golf. We did not use any pool or restaurants. But heard from other guest to eat elsewhere. Saw deer there.
Our stay was fine, but the restaurant is terrible. We had the breakfast buffet at 8:15AM, but the eggs were cold and the food stale. They had fried eggs, but they were cold and rubbery. It was as if they were cooked for 30 minutes on low heat. I asked for fresh eggs and they brought more of the exact same. Cold and rubbery. Meanwhile they have an omelette station, but there was nobody manning this. It was after 8! And we were still charged full price. The frustrating thing is you are at a resort, so there are absolutely no other food options. And finally, I forgot a small toiletry bag in my room, but when I called about this, I was told that housekeeping did not find it! Really? Will not go back.
This resort needs a new management. From my first day to the end of my trip I regretted it because the stuff seems nice but somehow they are just not able to help with simple things. There are many wrong things at this property, and I just feel this was my ever last trip. I’m sorry to say but this resort it is not a vacation resort - you definitely have to go to Marriott- the big chain resorts were they know to value the business.
Beautiful resort on Lake Joseph 😍 Lots of amenities and loads of fun for kids of all ages. Restaurants on site were good and cocktails were delish. Close to Parry Sound if you want to day trip and also do go to Santa's Village for some nostalgia and rides for the kiddos.
We stayed for four nights as a part of a group of twenty for our family reunion. We had a reserved dinner at Windows, and ate several times on the patio overlooking the water. The incredibly high prices of the food at Windows was not justified. Slow service, not good food. Steaks were not seared, risotto was overcooked and mushy. I had a lamb ragu papardelle. The pasta was so overcooked and old it broke apart into pieces as I was getting it onto my fork. The sauce was overly sweet marinara, with braised lamb added to it. A ragu should not taste sweet like pizza sauce or jarred marinara. Slow. On the patio, one waitress was serving all of the tables by herself on a Saturday. For a burschetta, chicken fingers, and Louisiana chicken sandwhich and fries, and one 5oz glass of white wine, the lunch was 98$ with 20% gratuity. It arrived cold and the waitress told us the kitchen made ours ahead of the other orders because we had a child. It took forty minutes after being ordered. I wouldn't have minded paying these prices if the food was good. I had a ginger beef stir fry the day earlier, and the breaded beef and vegetables in the stir fry came out of a freezer. The prices for this stuff was crazy. If you are going to eat there, eat at Rocky Crest golf club. Or make lunch in your room. Housekeeping always seemed to come by our room at 4pm, if at all. This is generally when people are back in their rooms getting ready for dinner. Finally, my wife went and requested housekeeping before we went out one morning. They made the bed and that was it. They didn't give us fresh coffee cups, toilet paper, kleenex, or replace anything used in the kitchen. My family loved the golf course here. We had fun but I would avoid the food on site. $194 for two lunches for two adults and one child.

Did a family ATV and UTV tour with two teenagers and it was AMAZING! Craig was our guide and he was AWESOME he tailored the tour to what we were interested in and made sure we all had a blast. I cannot recommend this tour enough.
Darren is just fantastic, fast enough when needed with some more technical rock mounting as well. I cannot say enough great things about our experience. He promised mud and delivered as promised. We will most definitely be back for another rip through the woods. Thanks for adding to our anniversary memories.
I came with my husband on my birthday and had an absolute blast! Our guide, Darrin, was incredibly friendly and took the time to thoroughly explain everything before we started. We got to experience driving both ATV and UTV, which was exhilarating! A special note: if you've booked a session on a rainy day, don't even think about canceling! The rainy day added an extra layer of fun, with puddles everywhere making the experience even more thrilling. Overall, I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a fun and adrenaline-packed adventure. 100% worth it!
Had an amazing tour with Craig. So much info about the local area and so much to see and do. The UTVs were awesome and so easy to drive...nothing stopped them! Would highly recommend a visit!
Great experience! Lovely and enthusiastic guides and customer service. We had a blast, got super muddy, and it was quite the adventure. The side-by-side quads were a cool experience and more fun than regular ATVs. Can't recommend enough. We'll be back soon!
I can say A++++++++ to Darren and Craig....they are extraordinary people/guides who will do everything to make your experience unforgettable in every possible directions. They share a lot of info about the area...etc. Plus the path they take you is difficult/fun/etc and most of your personal demands could be fulfilled with respect to off road machinery and fun involved around that. I have gone few times (w kids) and I can say only one thing - memories are priseless !!!
I went with my kids during the Canada Weekend. Darren is very professional and his equipment is well maintained. He explains everything really well and and lots of safety. You can dial in the amount of adventure you want. Lots of fun for all ages especially if you like mud ! We will go again in the winter for ski-dooing
Great experience, highly recommended! The tour guide is excellent!

COOL watching ice hockey for kids.
A great place for the community, and people visiting for the summer. Always something going on always something to do. Friendly atmosphere, kind down-home people.
This building is the heart of the town. Many functions happen here that bring the town together. Keep up the great work.
Small and quiet just like i like it! Little cramped for room an multiple game night but hey its small town proud!
Nice auditorium but the way the staff has elevator working is not.
We had a skating party there and a excellent facility and we had a lot of fun. Professional staff were at this pace too.
Great event for kids of all ages 😀😃😁😆😅🤣

Great service. We rented a pontoon boat at the last minute (Thursday) on thanksgiving weekend and they came through for us. we were super happy with the service because this was such an easy and seamless process for renting a boat. They delivered the boat directly to our cottage at a predetermined time and picked it up three days later as expected. It was very easy to text and communicate with Randy and we will definitely rent from Gordon Bay Marina again.
Over 20 years ago, we bought our very first Lund fishing boat — a little red 14-footer — from Gordon Bay Marine. That boat brought us so many amazing memories, and now, more than two decades later, we’ve upgraded to an 18' Lund and couldn’t be more excited! Once again, Gordon Bay provided the best price, excellent service, and outstanding support throughout the entire process. A special shoutout to Mitch, our sales guy, who was incredibly patient with us, answered all our questions, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. On pick-up day, he even spent the afternoon with us on the water going through all the features and ensuring we were comfortable with everything before heading out. As you’ll see in our photo — we’ve gone from Little Red to Big Red! We definitely upgraded! It’s rare to find a business that offers this level of care and consistency over so many years — thank you to Mitch and the whole Gordon Bay Marine team. We can’t wait to make new memories on the water!
I purchased my first 'new to me' boat from Craig in the early 2010s. She was an oldie and I was fully disclosed on what may be entailed for refurb. Craig and the whole parts and service team sourced the obsolete parts to get the ol'girl going. I am now a very happy part of this team providing the upmost sincere and professional service for all.
Found their prices in the showroom to quite a bit more than other dealers. I ended up purchasing from Huntsville at 20% less and what felt like better sales service. I do still purchase parts from here as the parts dept is great. But won't purchase anything from their sales staff.
Gordon bay marine has excellent service and always go above and beyond. In particular Randall has helped with all our boat servicing and docking needs. Highly recommend
Rented a boat from them for the day. Workers were very easy going and showed great professionalism. Stores are clean and the entire property is pretty cool. Reasonable prices as well. Check them out!
Just wanted to sent a big thank you to Sam in Service and all the great folks at Gordon Bay Marine! From sales, where I purchased my new Bayliner, to service afterwards, Sam has ensured he followed my various repairs and requests from start to finish. Although the process was lengthy due to some warranty issues, Sam stuck by my side during the entire process. He not only ensured everything was corrected but also replied to each of my enquires. I knew this was a not an easy task from the start, however I am so glad to have him in my corner providing the respect and high level quality customer service that we have all come to expect as a paying customer. Your attention and commitment to see the completion of all issues goes a long way in my books. I believe Sam should be recognized as an employee who really cares about customer satisfaction…..captain’s hats off to you!
Just purchased our new Lund from Conor. Quick easy transaction. Exceptional service. Very happy with our new boat. The little extras were a pleasant and greatly appreciated surprise. This is our second purchase at Gordon Bay Marine. Definitely worth the drive from Sudbury. Thanks!
