What a beautiful gem of a golf course! Staff could not have been friendlier. Very well manicured fairways, challenging greens(wish I putted better.) Kudos to the golf course maintenance staff on a job well done! A track that we will definitely be returning to play again.
Played here today as part of a road trip. I arrived an hour early and the friendly staff got me out there right away. Big thumbs up for that! Course conditions were good considering the recent rain in the area. Greens were in excellent shape but if you are used to fast greens these were not quick but I wouldn't call them slow either. It just takes getting used to the speed. Tee boxes were mostly level and fair. Fairways were wet in spots but manageable. Bunkers are why I score this a 4 and not higher. Overall this was well worth the stop on my trip and pricing was fair. I'd play here again. I walked the course and it was a relatively easy walk.
Went to play with some friends and my 2 sons. We have rarely played in the past, so we don't know all the "unwritten rules." We had 2 tee times but were playing 7 on a hole, which I realize now is not supposed to be. We had, I assume, the mashall drive up to us and threaten to throw us off the golf course. He was so rude and could hear him talking to the group behind us about us, calling us idiots. Needless to say, it wrecked our afternoon with my sons. We did not know we shouldn't do that. All he had to say was we should only be 4 to a hole but he just pretentiously attacked us for it, instead of just informing us. Will never go back there.
Really nice course one of the best in the areas! Fairways and greens were in great condition, very beautiful scenery and friendly staff/owners.
The manager of this golf course is a thief. She refused to refund my spouse and I $113 after arriving for our 1240 tee time. When we arrived there was another couple on this tee who had already teed off and we were told we would have to pair up with them. We have not golfed in some time so did not want to be rushed. We requested a refund and were denied and only offered a raincheck, she then told us it is commom golf etiquette and we should just know this. As we stated we are not regular golfers and it should not be expected that everyone just "knows these rules'. Due to the attitude of the manager and as we do not live close we wished to have a refund instead. She continued to refuse this offer for refund. Horrible customer service. We will never return here and never recommend this course to anyone we know.
Great course. Disappointed that I would be charged extra just to have my wife ride in the cart beside me while she watches me play. Big deal. They just want your money.
Course is just ok. Cart paths are non existent. Greenskeeper a little paranoid about carts on Fairways. Greens are good. Could do better for the same price.
Course looks awesome. Nice work Steve and Lise. Excellent hospitality

Played here on 22 Aug and was pleasantly surprised at the challenge a 5211 yd track can play at times. The course was in pretty good condition given the recent rain(s). Be prepared to bring your short game as the greens are some of the smallest I've ever played. They were in excellent condition and were quick enough for their size. No easy putt to be had outside 6 feet given the slope but they were fair. Pretty much a target off most tees as forced layups on some holes and some fairly narrow tee to green fairways on short par 4s. There aren't too many chances to grip it and rip but when there is the fairways are wide enough. The staff I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Pricing was very fair for the course. I made use of the clubhouse for lunch and prices there were reasonable and my meal was tasty. I would play here again... Even if I usually play between 6000 and 6300 yds. This was an enjoyable round of golf and a nice change of pace.
My son and grandson have memberships here, we did a fundraising tournament for their hockey team. I enjoyed the courses play. Don't expect fairways like we have in the south of Ontario but the greens are very nicely kept and challenging! If you're in the area and get a tee time I'm sure you will enjoy your round of golf here!
I played here this morning. The carts are absolutely terrible, unless you have a member cart, I've never played a course as bad as this, the front 9 fairways are awful, looks like a Meteor shower hit the course, also a swamp but It did rain heavily last night. Greens were decent condition but not one played the same as the last. And the lay out is crazy you have a shared fairway with two holes where inexperienced golfers are teeing off behind your head. cart path leads you to drive right out infront of a possible group of people driving if you don't know the layout(18th), overall I was disappointed.
Best experience and most fun I’ve had on the golf course! Our group of 6 rolled up with trophy in hand for our annual 6 person scramble, which hasn’t been well received by other courses in the past; however, the owner at Highview Golf Course was different and understood our goal. He approached us unexpectedly and catered a customized tournament format with surprise trophy presentation at the end of our round. We were blown away by the treatment/experience and would like to tip our hats to Highview Golf Course. Also, you can’t beat the bang for your buck at this course. It’s definitely worth the drive to Powassan.
Course is in rough shape, greens are slow, teeboxes a mess. Overall course conditionsare 2/10. Carts are in absolutely horrible condition, look like 1980s vintage carts. New carts are reserved for "members only"
Highview Golf Course is the combination of a well designed and mantained golf course along with great clubhouse food! All the staff are helpful and friendly and I'd recommend Highview Golf for a round, a meal or for your next event!
We golfed here recently with a group of people and had a great time. The greens were a little tough, but the customer service was top notch.
I played in a 4 person women's scramble last weekend. The greens were the best I've ever played on but a lot if the fairways were water logged with lots of puddles from heavy rain. The staff & food was great. The course itself is beyond my skill level & Ì would not play there other than a tournament of best ball.

Always such friendly staff and absolutely delicious products! best BBQ sauce I've ever tried!! we enjoyed the wagon ride with the wonderful education. such a nice time! this was our 7th year in a row visiting the maple farm! thank you for your dedication to making the best maple products around!
Went for a nice walk and picked some awesome locally grown and prepared maple syrup. Sooo tasty.
We went to the first tapping in March 2019. Amazing sleigh ride through a maple bush and tasting delicious syrup!
I’m so happy to support this family owned business. Awesome people. Last year I bought 4 jugs of Dark maple syrup, maple butter, one chicken n rib sauce and one stake sauce. This year I bought 8 jugs of syrup, 4 chicken n rib, 4 stake sauce and maple sugar. Pure top quality at a great price. I really can’t say enough about the place.
An amazing place to spend an hour or two. They have horse drawn sleigh rides through their sugar bush during celebrations. They also open up the door to their processing area and let you see a more modern way of producing syrup beyond the old open boiling system. Very friendly people, nice place to visit, and the syrup and syrup related items for sale are great quality.
We had the pleasure of taking the horse drawn sleigh tour. Quite an impressive operation the Matthews family runs. After the outside your we went into the sugar Shack and found tonnes of tasty maple proslducts, all produced on site. We managed to locate the Patriarch of the Matthews family and he gave us a private tour of the processing side of the operation. He was quite wonderful, and fielded all our questions. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends.
It's okay... The sleigh ride was fun. Just the right length of time and it was interesting. There's really nothing else to do there though. They should do breakfast and have a larger indoor space for people to go. Also something to entertain kids for more than ten minutes.
Another great family farm! I usually buy their products at the Powassan Maple Syrup festival, but recently I drove to the farm and purchased their large Maple sugar jar, and we use this completely instead of cane sugar, and LOVE it! Kind service! If they're home they're open. Just call the # on the door if it's locked.

Great scenery along the trails and very easy to find your way around. The views are stunning and I would recommend a visit to anyone driving by this area!
Although this trail is beautiful once you reach the top, the trail itself is poorly marked and I ended up getting lost with my dogs. Be careful going on it, as some of the sections are dead ends and others aren't maintained.
Nice trails and marked well. Blue and Red trails are a good for hike to the top or just park at the base and walk up instantly. Looking forward to watching the stars or Northern lights at the bench on a clear night. Not a bad view as well. Watch for moose, bears and what ever the animal pictured on the sign is.
Nice place to see, will be even better during the Fall season.
Really nice walk through the woods and the view from the top was great BUT.....we couldn't find the trail after the look out and ended up lost. Had to make it up as we went along. Trail was very poorly marked. Such a shame.
This property was beautiful. We had a great time exploring and will definitely be back!
I found these trails very poorly marked. Finally got to the top for the view. Could not find trail back down. Had to end up making my way through the bush to get back to car. Not something I recommend doing.
Lots of camping areas waiting for you. Pascal lake and clear lake are some good spots.
